No Im not, but my husband who works at lowes in delaware (which is in state of emergency) has to work a closing shift tonight....I dont understand that, how is it that NOBODY is supposed to be on the Roads but want all there employees to be working (because they are essential). This really doesnt make any sense to me!
Yes Our business has been open every day. I am the owner so I am not putting employees at risk. I slept on an air mattress to be sure this business would be open. Thank you good customers.
Actually......I am stuck at work and cannot leave to go home. Even if soneone manages to come in to relieve me, I'm not sure if my car will make it home without getting stuck. aaaahhhhh, might as well accept it and hope we thaw out soon.
anonymous 9:51, one thing I can assure you is that I put in more hours per day and more days per week then you have ever even attempted to put forth in your lifetime. All for FREE, all to serve the community.
i'm working today, but my place of employment is closing at noon. so they're sending us home right in the middle of this crap, instead of closing the whole day. yeah that's smart.
No. It is like a blizzard outside. Whoever makes their employees come in while the weather is like this is an a$$. If somebody got stranded, ended up in an accident, or died because they were forced to travel in this mess that would be a tragedy.
The Superintendent of Wicomico county waited until 17 min before our start time to change from a 2hr delay to cancellation for central office and facilities employees....so I showed up after driving in this mess just to be turned around and sent home. I hope he realizes he risked lives this morning. Some people don't live in this county and have to commute.

Joe, you are right! You probably do! I put in only 40 hrs per week... that's it! And bring home 120k. Thank you federal gov't... cause I do! lol
I'm a teacher, so, for that job, no. On the other hand, 3 school age children plus a toddler and one on the way - a day at home is not quite a day "off", but I'm loving it! Keep it up, snow !
I hear you, I did lose alot of family time during those years. I was young and worked my butt off. Times change, its part of life I quess. I just thought that you kinda made it sound like you were rubbing peoples faces in it. Im sure you invested alot in your education and your career, I dont doubt that at all. I dont want to argue with you.
No, Enjoying being home reading Salisbury News, watching Young and The Restless, Cooking, napping and not feeling quilty at all. It's rare for us to get snow days.

Where Doug? That I work 40 hrs per work for over 100k per year? I guess that's what I get for going to college and applying myself.
I'm a teacher, so, for that job, no. On the other hand, 3 school age children plus a toddler and one on the way - a day at home is not quite a day "off", but I'm loving it! Keep it up, snow !
