Hundreds ‘ambush’ Tampa police responding to report of shots fired, 2 officers injured, chief says

Two Tampa police officers were injured early Saturday after a crowd of hundreds surrounded a group of officers in an "ambush," the Tampa police chief said.

Officers were responding to a report of shots fired and a possible gunshot victim at an intersection near the Ybor City neighborhood around 1 a.m., Chief Brian Duggan told reporters Monday. A crowd of hundreds was at the scene when police arrived.

As offices searched for a possible victim, Duggan said the hundreds of people blocked all four ends of the intersection and became aggressive. The crowd surrounded officers, threw bottles and glass, and jumped on a police vehicle. Officers could not locate a victim.

"It's an ambush. I have no other way to describe it,” Duggan said. “When there are that many people out there and clearly no one had been shot. It was just a set up to get the cops there."

Protesters are attempting to build a 'Black House Autonomous Zone' near the White House

This is not going to end well for them

Black Lives Matter protesters attempted to erect an autonomous zone near the White House on Monday, according to various witnesses on social media.

One photograph on Twitter showed a sign reading, "Black House Autonomous Zone," with several protesters trying to affix it to chainlink fencing.

The original autonomous zone in Seattle, renamed itself the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" in order to tone down the aggressive claim for separatism from the government, but the "BHAZ" followed the original nomenclature.

Katie Pavlich hammers Seattle mayor over CHOP 'insanity': 'She was endorsing this movement from the beginning'

"The Five" co-host Katie Pavlich described the ongoing situation in Seattle as "insanity" Tuesday after weekend violence in the "Capitol Hill Organized Protest" (CHOP) forced Mayor Jenny Durkan to pledge to dismantle the demonstration area

"Protesting is not taking over blocks and blocks of public and private property, threatening people with firearms and then refusing to allow the police and medical personnel in when somebody gets shot inside of your comune," Pavlich said. "I mean, it's kind of a fake comune too, because they are asking for ... resources like shoes and food and water that comes from the very society that they claim to be getting out of.

"But they weren't protesters from the beginning," she added. "They took over, unlawfully, blocks and blocks of property they don't own and they don't have a right to."

Insurgents from the left threaten to upend Dem Party plans in Tuesday primaries

The progressive wing of the Democratic Party hasn’t had much to celebrate at the ballot box since populist Sen. Bernie Sanders suspended his presidential campaign two-and-a-half months ago.

But the left appears to be storming back, giving more moderate Democratic candidates some serious competition in newly competitive primaries in Kentucky and New York, two of the states holding contests on Tuesday.

The premier showdowns grabbing the national spotlight are the Democratic Senate primary in Kentucky, where establishment-backed Amy McGrath – who had been the heavy favorite and enjoyed a massive fundraising advantage – is facing a serious threat from progressive candidate and state Rep. Charles Booker.

Millionaire philanthropist, film producer and friend of Jeffrey Epstein and Bill Clinton, Steve Bing, reportedly leapt to his death from his 27th floor Los Angeles apartment building Monday.

LA Times reports:

Bing, 55, fell to his death from a high-rise building in Century City, according to a law enforcement source who was not authorized to comment. Foul play is not suspected.

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department said it responded to a call around 1 p.m. regarding the death of a man in his 50s in the 10000 block of Santa Monica Boulevard in Century City.

Bing inherited $600-million from his grandfather when he was 18 and went on to produce several Hollywood films and marry two women respectively, including Lisa Bonder and Elizabeth Hurley, both of whom he fathered children with. Rhode Island considers name change due to slavery connotations

What’s in a name? For the state of Rhode Island, years of acrimony over an official designation with connotations of slavery.

But change is brewing in the union’s smallest state, as Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo signed an executive order on Monday taking the "first steps" to change the state’s full name: "The State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations."

The "plantations" part of the name has come under increased scrutiny following widespread protests after the killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor.

Where's The Omelet? Black Lives Matter Chicago Answers George Orwell's Question

“You can’t make an omelet without breaking eggs.” In George Orwell’s day — the 1930s — that’s what supporters of violent, Marxist revolution often said in justification.

Orwell, the stunningly prescient author of Nineteen Eighty-Four, had a simple response: “Where’s the omelet?”

An honest look at the omelet offered by Black Lives Matter is long overdue, particularly for BLM Chicago.

What do they want? Do its supporters and apologists know?

Where’s their omelet?

Bill Cosby Gets Appeal in Pennsylvania Sex Assault Case

In a stunning decision that could test the legal framework of #MeToo cases, comedian Bill Cosby has won the right to fight his 2018 sexual assault conviction in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

The 82-year-old Cosby has been imprisoned in suburban Philadelphia for nearly two years after a jury convicted him of drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home in 2004. He is serving a 3- to 10-year sentence.

The Supreme Court has agreed to review two aspects of the case, including the judge's decision to let prosecutors call five other accusers to testify about long-ago encounters with the once-powerful actor and comedian. Cosby's lawyers have long challenged that testimony as remote and unreliable. The court will also consider, as it weighs the scope of the testimony allowed, whether the jury should have heard evidence Cosby had given quaaludes to women in the past.

Secondly, the court will examine Cosby's argument he had an agreement with a former prosecutor he would never be charged in the case. Cosby has said he relied on that agreement before agreeing to testify in the trial accuser's civil lawsuit.

Those issues have been at the heart of the case since Cosby was charged in December 2015, days before the 12-year statue of limitations expired. Prosecutors in Montgomery County had reopened the case that year after The Associated Press fought to unseal portions of Cosby's decade-old deposition testimony in accuser Andrea Constand's sex assault and defamation lawsuit against Cosby, which he had settled in 2006.

What Americans Fear Most In The JFK Assassination, Part 1

One of the fascinating phenomena in the JFK assassination is the fear of some Americans to consider the possibility that the assassination was actually a regime-change operation carried out by the U.S. national-security establishment rather than simply a murder carried out by a supposed lone-nut assassin.

The mountain of evidence that has surfaced, especially since the 1990s, when the JFK Records Act mandated the release of top-secret assassination-related records within the national-security establishment, has been in the nature of circumstantial evidence, as compared to direct evidence. Thus, I can understand that someone who places little faith in the power of circumstantial evidence might study and review that evidence and decide to embrace the “lone-nut theory” of the case.

But many of the people who have embraced the lone-nut theory have never spent any time studying the evidence in the case and yet have embraced the lone-nut theory. Why? My hunch is that the reason is that they have a deep fear of being labeled a “conspiracy theorist,” which is the term the CIA many years ago advised its assets in the mainstream press to employ to discredit those who were questioning the official narrative in the case.

Like many others, I have studied the evidence in the case. After doing that, I concluded that the circumstantial evidence pointing toward a regime-change operation has reached critical mass. Based on that evidence, for me the Kennedy assassination is not a conspiracy theory but rather the fact of a national-security state regime-change operation, no different in principle than other regime-change operations, including through assassination, carried out by the U.S. national-security establishment, especially through the CIA.

Interestingly, there are those who have shown no reluctance to study the facts and circumstances surrounding foreign regime-change operations carried out by the CIA and the Pentagon. But when it comes to the Kennedy assassination, they run for the hills, exclaiming that they don’t want to be pulled down the “rabbit hole,” meaning that they don’t want to take any chances of being labeled a “conspiracy theorist.”

Appeals court orders Flynn case dismissal, after years-long legal saga

A federal appeals court on Wednesday ordered a lower court to allow the case against former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to be dismissed, as requested by the Justice Department -- likely ending the years-long legal saga stemming from the Russia investigation.

The abrupt ending came in an order from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

This was the result of an appeal from Flynn's lawyers asking for a so-called writ of mandamus -- essentially an order telling a government official to carry out a certain duty -- directing Judge Emmet Sullivan to approve the DOJ's motion to dismiss.

Sullivan did not immediately grant that motion and instead sought to hold hearings on the matter, angering Flynn allies.

The unusual move from Sullivan to keep the case alive despite prosecutors' wishes was preceded by an unusual move from the DOJ itself to drop the charges against Flynn even after he had pleaded guilty -- saying the FBI interview that led to his charge of lying to investigators had no "legitimate investigative basis."

Insults to Black History

Many whites are ashamed, saddened, and feel guilty about our history of slavery, Jim Crow, and gross racial discrimination. Many black people remain angry over the injustices of the past and what they see as injustices of the present. Both blacks and whites can benefit from a better appreciation of black history.

Often overlooked or ignored is the fact that, as a group, black Americans have made the greatest gains, over some of the highest hurdles, and in a shorter span of time than any other racial group in history.

For example, if one totaled up the earnings and spending of black Americans and considered us as a separate nation with our own gross domestic product, we would rank well within the top 20 richest nations.

A black American, Gen. Colin Powell, once headed the world’s mightiest military. Black Americans are among the world’s most famous personalities, and a few black Americans are among the world’s richest people such as investor Robert F. Smith, IT service provider David Steward, Oprah Winfrey, and basketball star Michael Jordan. Plus, there was a black U.S. president.

Two regimes are fighting an ideological war in America today. But what side are you on? And how can you sharpen up on how to defend your position? Learn more now >>

The significance of these achievements cannot be overstated.

When the Civil War ended, neither a slave nor a slave owner would have believed such progress would be possible in less than a century and a half—if ever. As such, it speaks to the intestinal fortitude of a people.

Just as important, it speaks to the greatness of a nation in which such gains were possible. Nowhere else on earth could such progress been achieved except in the United States of America.

The issue that confronts us is how these gains can be extended to about one-quarter of the black population for whom they have proven elusive. The first step is to acknowledge that the civil rights struggle is over and won. At one time, black Americans did not enjoy the constitutional guarantees as everyone else. Now we do.

While no one can deny the existence of residual racial discrimination, racial discrimination is not the major problem confronting a large segment of the black community.

WikiLeaks Founder Charged in Superseding Indictment

New Allegations Assert Assange Conspired With “Anonymous” Affiliated Hackers, Among Others

A federal grand jury returned a second superseding indictment today charging Julian P. Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, with offenses that relate to Assange’s alleged role in one of the largest compromises of classified information in the history of the United States.

The new indictment does not add additional counts to the prior 18-count superseding indictment returned against Assange in May 2019. It does, however, broaden the scope of the conspiracy surrounding alleged computer intrusions with which Assange was previously charged. According to the charging document, Assange and others at WikiLeaks recruited and agreed with hackers to commit computer intrusions to benefit WikiLeaks.

Since the early days of WikiLeaks, Assange has spoken at hacking conferences to tout his own history as a “famous teenage hacker in Australia” and to encourage others to hack to obtain information for WikiLeaks. In 2009, for instance, Assange told the Hacking At Random conference that WikiLeaks had obtained nonpublic documents from the Congressional Research Service by exploiting “a small vulnerability” inside the document distribution system of the United States Congress, and then asserted that “[t]his is what any one of you would find if you were actually looking.”

In 2010, Assange gained unauthorized access to a government computer system of a NATO country. In 2012, Assange communicated directly with a leader of the hacking group LulzSec (who by then was cooperating with the FBI), and provided a list of targets for LulzSec to hack. With respect to one target, Assange asked the LulzSec leader to look for (and provide to WikiLeaks) mail and documents, databases and pdfs. In another communication, Assange told the LulzSec leader that the most impactful release of hacked materials would be from the CIA, NSA, or the New York Times. WikiLeaks obtained and published emails from a data breach committed against an American intelligence consulting company by an “Anonymous” and LulzSec-affiliated hacker. According to that hacker, Assange indirectly asked him to spam that victim company again.

In addition, the broadened hacking conspiracy continues to allege that Assange conspired with Army Intelligence Analyst Chelsea Manning to crack a password hash to a classified U.S. Department of Defense computer.

An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed a crime. Assange is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison on each count except for conspiracy to commit computer intrusion, for which he faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison. Actual sentences for federal crimes are typically less than the maximum penalties. A federal district court judge will determine any sentence after taking into account the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

John C. Demers, Assistant Attorney General for National Security, G. Zachary Terwilliger, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, and James A. Dawson, Special Agent in Charge, Criminal Division, FBI Washington Field Office, made the announcement. First Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracy Doherty-McCormick, Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kellen S. Dwyer, Thomas W. Traxler, Alexander P. Berrang, and Gordon D. Kromberg, and Trial Attorneys Adam L. Small and Nicholas O. Hunter of the Justice Department’s National Security Division are prosecuting the case.

Assange is currently detained in the United Kingdom on an extradition request from the United States. Assange’s extradition to the United States is being handled by the Department of Justice’s Office of International Affairs and UK authorities, including the Home Office and the Crown Prosecution Service for England and Wales.

Unfriendly fascism

Democrats recycle fascism with statue smashers, flag burners and book burners

By R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr.

Now the mob is planning to tear down the statue of Theodore Roosevelt, and, may I add, that TR was one of the original Progressives. Take a look in an American history book, if you can find one. Teddy was an original Progressive. The mayor of the fated city of New York, Bill de Blasio has already approved Teddy’s removal. Au revoir, Teddy, you will soon rest in the dustbin of history along with George Washington and so many other old white men of American history. Possibly, in time Mr. de Blasio himself will repose there. After all, he is an aging white male and he has not achieved even as much as Roosevelt to say nothing of Washington.

Obviously with all the statues coming down, and the property being destroyed and the history being trampled, something is afoot in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave. America is welcoming in a new regime. It is a Fascist regime, which comes somewhat as a surprise to me. This Fascist regime is being raised up from the left end of the political spectrum.

If you are like me — educated by left-wingers all your life — you were taught to expect Fascism to come from the right. Today on the right there is only silence, irenic silence. All the flag burners, statue smashers and, dare I say it, book burners, are on the left. In fact, Mr. de Blasio is one of them. Though he is careful to wear a suit and tie, when he appears on television he always approves of the mob, and it is only a matter of time before he begins appearing in public wearing a uniform with epaulets and perhaps a sword.

The mayor could call it the Sword of Liberation. He could claim that he used it to liberate the last black slave discovered hunkered down in a basement on Park Avenue. Or perhaps he used it to open up the Metropolitan Club to immigrants or to allow skateboard riders in Central Park. Actually, I believe they already allow skateboard riders in the park. He will have to claim some other act of heroism for the Sword of Liberation. How about if he chopped the head off the Statue of Liberty?

At any rate, it is only a matter of time before Mr. de Blasio dons a military uniform, complete with riding boots and medals and a sash across his ample girth. Why not confer with a book on Benito Mussolini for ideas on how the sash might be worn? Mussolini always wore stylish uniforms in Italy plus a sash, at least until the citizenry had had enough of the old boy and they strung him up by his ankles in Giulino di Mezzegra and filled him with lead.

The "Summer Of Love" Just Got Really Expensive As Billion-Dollar Investment Firm Leaves Seattle

WHITES AS SLAVES – Creepy Filmmaker Fantasizes About Slavery

Dale Resteghini, a Hip-Hop music video producer based out of Boston, is set to release a series about a white man being transported to an alternate reality where whites are slaves to BLACK MASTERS. This “cinema” project looks poorly produced and filmed, with the trailer exhibiting traits of a movie made with Windows Movie Maker.

Sure to be a wet dream for BLM and Antifa activists, it illustrates how insane the modern progressive movement and Hollywood elite have become. While they bemoan the effects of alleged “systemic racism” and other conspiracy theories aimed at American society, Resteghini’s film will definitely satisfy the violent mob that continues to burn our cities and murder innocent police officers or bystanders.

It presents viewers with the idea of whites being raped and mutilated by BLACK MASTERS. All human lives matter and this film serves as a tool to divide us. While YouTube regularly takes down content from conservatives or anyone to the right of Karl Marx or Vladimir Lenin, they allow this BLM / Antifa smut on their platform. This fetish film is disgusting and sad.

Of course, the producers know NOTHING about history. Over one million white Christian slaves were sold in northern Africa in the 16th to 18th centuries.
