Penn teaching assistant under criticism for 'racist' tweet

A University of Pennsylvania teaching assistant is under heavy fire after they tweeted that they would call on 'white men' last when doing student participation.

Stephanie McKellop, a Ph.D. student studying marriage and family (using them, they pronouns), has since set their tweets to private but shared that they were trying to encourage classroom participation by minority students.

'I will always call on my Black women students first. Other POC get second tier priority. [White Women] come next. And, if I have to, white men,' they said in the tweets on Monday.

Professor Freaks Out Over State Police, Thinks They Are 'Aryan Militia'

A University of Florida professor has revealed just how hysterical some Leftists can get. On Thursday, the repugnant white nationalist Richard Spencer spoke on campus, an event that clearly seemed destined to create tension and possibly even violence. A certain bit of paranoia is to be expected, but for one professor, it went beyond the norm when he thought an "Aryan Brotherhood militia" had descended upon the campus:

A professor in UF’s geography department emailed his students Wednesday afternoon to be careful with Spencer in town. It was picked up by the department and sent out on a student email listserv just after 4 p.m.

“FYI,” the professor wrote, “I just walked into Turlington 10 minutes ago, and there were armed Aryan Brotherhood militia circling the building. It feels like they are testing how much they can get away with, openly carrying weapons.”

The screenshot quickly spread to social media and students panicked. It took some time before students started to connect the dots. The professor was referencing a crowd of armed men in khaki long-sleeved shirts and black boots. But a closer look at their shirts identified them as Florida troopers, some of the hundred patrolling campus by Wednesday afternoon.

Whoops.

ISIS Plotting New 9/11 Style Attack, DHS Warns

ISIS and other terror groups are plotting another massive 9/11 style attack with a goal of inflicting maximum devastation, President Trump's acting Homeland Security chief warned on Wednesday.

Speaking at the U.S. embassy in London, Elaine Duke, acting secretary of Homeland Security, said, "The terrorist organizations, be it ISIS or others, want to have the big explosion like they did on 9/11. They want to take down aircraft. The intelligence is clear on that."

She added, "However, in the interim, they need to keep their finances flowing and they need to keep their visibility high and they need to keep their members engaged, so they are using small plots and they are happy to have small plots."

Duke said that their goal is to create terror "so a van attack, a bladed weapon attack, causes terror and continues to disrupt the world – but does not mean they’ve given up on a major aviation plot."

ISIS Details Devastation of California Wildfires in Caliphate Newsletter

The Islamic State included a report on the California wildfires in the news briefs section of their weekly newsletter, noting the property damage estimates and death toll of blazes that were the "worst in the history" of the state.

ISIS, which has encouraged followers to try arson as a terror tactic, did not take credit for starting any of the blazes.

"Strong winds hindered the efforts" in fighting the blazes, the terror group noted in al-Naba, a 16-page color newsletter distributed within ISIS territory and online as a PDF, while citing California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection as saying some bodies had been burned beyond recognition and would be difficult to identify. "Thousands of people became homeless," ISIS said, adding stats from earlier in the week on "the most destructive fire in the history of the state."

This past January, ISIS' Rumiyah magazine -- which is published in multiple languages including English -- stressed to would-be jihadists that "incendiary attacks have played a significant role in modern and guerrilla warfare, as well as in 'lone wolf' terrorism," claiming a November fire at a furniture factory in Losino-Petrovsky, Russia, and highlighting scores of wildfires around Israel that month as incidents that "demonstrated the lethality of such an effortless operation."

"The Police Just F**ked My Life" - Alabamians Outraged As Civil Asset Forfeitures Soar

The morning of June 29, 2010, began much like any other day for Frank Ranelli, the owner of FAR Computers in Ensley, Alabama. Ranelli, who had owned his computer repair business just outside of Birmingham for more than two decades, was doing some paperwork in his windowless office when he heard loud banging on the front door. Within a matter of moments Ranelli was placed under arrest and all of the computer equipment in his store, much of which belonged to customers, had been confiscated by Alabama police never to be returned. Per AL.com:

Within moments, a Homewood police sergeant had declared a room full of customers' computers, merchandise and other items "stolen goods," Ranelli recalled. He ordered his officers to "arrest them all," according to Ranelli, who was cuffed and taken to the Homewood jail along with two of his shop employees.

The police proceeded to confiscate more than 130 computers - most of which were customers' units waiting to be repaired, though some were for sale - as well as the company's business servers and workstations and even receipts and checkbooks.

"Here I was, a man, owned this business, been coming to work every day like a good old guy for 23 years, and I show up at work that morning - I was in here doing my books from the day before - and the police just f***ed my life," he said.

Nothing ever came of the case. The single charge levied against Renelli of receiving stolen goods was dismissed after he demonstrated that he had followed proper protocol in purchasing the sole laptop computer he was accused of receiving illegally. That said, despite no official charges and no jury trial, Ranelli has been trying, to no avail, for nearly 7 years now to recover the items the officers took from his business.

Spain's PM moves to impose direct rule over Catalonia

Nearly half a million protesters poured onto the streets of Barcelona today as Spain's Prime Minister outlined plans to impose direct rule over Catalonia and remove its leaders.

Mariano Rajoy wants to sack the region's government and call an election within six months in a bid to thwart a break away by the autonomous region.

But his strong stance, which includes a threat to arrest the region's president if he declares independence, led to Catalan President Carles Puigdemont accusing the Spanish leader of the worst attack on the region 'since Franco'.

Mentioning Spain's notorious fascist dictator, Mr Puigdemont branded the Spanish government's plans an 'attack on democracy' and accused Mr Rajoy of seeking to 'humiliate' Catalonia.

Catalans cannot accept the 'illegal' measures taken by the Spanish government, calling them 'the worst attack against the institutions and the people of Catalonia since the military dictatorship of Francisco Franco.'

The Famous Daily Dozen Exercises

In the 1920s and 30s, “Daily Dozen” was a household phrase. Some have even heard of it still today, although they may not know its provenance.

The “Daily Dozen” referred to a set of twelve calisthenic exercises that were performed, well, daily, in an attempt to stay healthy and fit.

The famous exercise routine was created by Walter Camp, a former college athlete, successful businessman, and prolific writer of books and articles on sports and the outdoors. As a student at Yale, Camp rowed, boxed, played tennis, and frequented the school’s gymnasium in his spare time. He also ran track for the university and was a varsity baseball and football player. It was that latter sport that constituted his most enduring and ultimately influential interest. First as a player, and then as a coach, Camp introduced so many innovations to the gridiron — including the line of scrimmage and the system of downs — that he became known as the “Father of American Football.”

During WWI, Camp’s athletic know-how was marshaled by the U.S. military, which made him an advisor on physical fitness. Concerned that the old style of calisthenics then employed by the troops was not sufficiently effective in getting them in fighting shape, the brass asked Camp to create a new program of exercise. His answer was the “Daily Dozen” — a short routine of physical movements designed to keep the country’s sailors and soldiers healthy and nimble, without inducing excessive fatigue.

Bookend Your Day: The Power of Morning and Evening Routines

You’re a college student.

It’s midnight. You’re brushing your teeth and reviewing how the day went. And you’re disappointed.

You had planned to work out, study for an upcoming history exam, clean up your apartment, and find time to meditate.

But none of those things happened.

You woke up late. As soon as you sat down to study in the afternoon you saw some friends who invited you out to eat. And that night you got sucked into aimlessly surfing the internet while the dirty dishes sat for another day in the sink.

You spit out your toothpaste and vow to do better tomorrow–tomorrow you’re going to turn it all around. But the next day brings more of the same.

Does this sound familiar? Do you feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of good intentions but disappointing follow-through?

UN Agency Makes Mugabe 'Goodwill Ambassador' One Month After He Endorsed Killers of White Farmers

The World Health Organization (WHO) has made Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe an official ‘Goodwill Ambassador’ just a month after he vowed that the killers of white farmers in his country would never be prosecuted.

The 93-year-old tyrant has been tasked by the United Nations agency — at least nominally — with helping to tackle non-communicable diseases, the BBC reports.

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus — an Ethiopian national and the agency’s first African leader — told a conference in Uruguay that he was “honoured to be joined by President Mugabe of Zimbabwe, a country that places universal health coverage and health promotion at the centre of its policies to provide healthcare to all.”

The global bureaucrat’s glowing praise drew scorn from Human Rights Watch, with chief executive Kenneth Roth pointing out that “Mugabe’s corruption [and] his utter mismanagement of the economy has devastated health services” in Zimbabwe.

“Indeed, you know, Mugabe himself travels abroad for his health care. He’s been to Singapore three times this year already.”

Bannon slams former President Bush as most 'destructive' president in ongoing attack to GOP establishment

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon widened his assault on the Republican establishment Friday night, saying former GOP President George W. Bush had the most “destructive” presidency in U.S. history.

Bannon's scathing comments at the annual California Republican Party convention came about a week after Bush denounced bigotry in Trump-era American politics and warned that the rise of isolationism and "nativism," which Bannon espouses, have clouded the nation's true identity.

"There has not been a more destructive presidency than George Bush's," Bannon said.

He also said Bush has no idea whether "he is coming or going, just like it was when he was president,” amid boos in the crowd at the mention of Bush's name.

Mugger pummels 81-year-old woman in apartment building

A heartless mugger beat up an 81-year-old woman in her West Village vestibule Friday night — stealing her handbag and leaving her collapsed on the tile floor.

Police were seeking the craven crook early Saturday, and released a building surveillance video showing the attack.

In the video, the mugger — dressed all in black, his face obscured by the hood of his sweatshirt — follows the silver-haired, elderly woman into her building at West 13th Street and Seventh Avenue.

Inside the vestibule, he swings his fist five times at her head and face until she falls to the floor.

He then grabs her handbag and bolts back out the door.

Bannon on Fire in CA: Three Standing Ovations at GOP Convention Keynote

(Orange County, CA) Breitbart News Executive Chairman and former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon delivered a fiery keynote address to about 500 people at the opening dinner of the California Republican Party’s Fall Convention Friday night, praising President Trump and declaring war on the GOP establishment.

Stepping out from behind the podium, comfortably walking about the stage, Bannon gave a forty-minute-long speech covering a myriad of issues that began with effusive praise of President Trump, the importance of winning and how victories beget victories, and about the great challenge ahead in taking on the, “corporatists, lobbyists, consultants, and the politicians they control.”

In referring to his work with President Trump, Bannon said early in his remarks, “I’ve had the honor of being the CEO of his campaign, the chief strategist in the white house — and now I’m proud to say his wingman outside.”

“Donald Trump has been an existential threat to the system,” Bannon declared to overwhelming applause from the audience.

Democrats Commit Suicide by Favoring Migrants

Democrats are committing political suicide by refusing to moderate their migrant-first policy agenda, says the liberal intellectual who launched the push for same-sex marriage.

Andrew Sullivan, the immigrant British-born author who championed the same-sex movement, writes in New York Magazine:

Democrats in 2017, in general, tend to criticize the use of immigration enforcement, and tend to side with those accused of violating immigration law, as a broad matter of principle beyond opposing the particular actions of the administration … Democrats are no longer as willing to attack “illegal immigration” as a fundamental problem anymore.

This is, to be blunt, political suicide … In fact, the Democrats increasingly seem to suggest that any kind of distinction between citizens and noncitizens is somehow racist. You could see this at the last [Democratic Party] convention, when an entire evening was dedicated to Latinos, illegal and legal, as if the rule of law were largely irrelevant. Hence the euphemism “undocumented” rather than “illegal.” So the stage was built, lit, and set for Trump …

The entire concept of a nation whose citizens solely determine its future — the core foundation for any viable democracy at all — is now deemed by many left-liberals to be a function of bigotry. This is the kind of madness that could keep them from power indefinitely.

"It's Very Common": Baltimore Teacher Admits To Passing Students That Never Showed For A Single Day Of Class

Teaching can be a thankless job. Talk to almost any educator in the public school system and you're bound to get a earful about grueling hours, disrespectful kids, infuriating bureaucracy and minimal pay. As such, it looks increasingly like the teachers in Baltimore's public schools have decided to just stop teaching altogether and pass every student that walks through their doors.

In the latest installment of a growing scandal revealed by "Project Baltimore", an investigative reporting initiative launched by Sinclair Broadcast group in March 2017 to examine Baltimore's public school system, a teacher at Calverton Elementary/Middle in west Baltimore has come forward with proof that grade changing is not only common in his school district but explicitly encouraged by senior administrators.

According to Fox45, below is the end of year text message that Calverton teachers received their principal, Martia Cooper, instructing them to "please double check end of the year averages and make sure they are 60 and above." The message went on to say that any "averages below 60" should be "corrected" so that failing students could be pushed through the system.

“Good Morning people! (Secretary) is printing report cards so finally you can get cumes finished. Please double check end of year averages and make sure they are 60 and above, except our four retention candidates (2 elem and 2 grade 7). If you find any grade averages below 60, pkesss (sic) have (secretary) correct and give me a copy of those student names. Thanks!”

Obama AG Lynch refuses to discuss notorious Clinton tarmac meeting with Russia probe

Former President Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch met behind closed doors with a congressional Russian election meddling probe on Friday.

Republicans were eager to question her about an infamous tarmac meeting with former President Bill Clinton in June 2016, a meeting which has triggered suspicions about the Obama Department of Justice’s impartiality toward Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton at the height of the election.

But Mrs. Lynch refused to discuss the meeting before the House Intelligence Committee on Friday, according to Fox News.

Mrs. Lynch has been accused of attempting to influence the FBI’s investigation into Mrs. Clinton’s private email use while secretary of state — and both she and Mr. Clinton say the meeting at the Phoenix airport was a chance social encounter.

In June, during highly anticipated testimony, fired FBI Director James Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee that the Lynch-Clinton tarmac meeting caused him to hold a press conference on Mrs. Clinton’s email case.

China Eyes Pakistan Port

After opening its first foreign military base near the Horn of Africa, China is preparing to build a second military facility in Gwadar, Pakistan.

The two sites when completed will provide Beijing with a strategic naval presence near the oil-rich Middle East shipping routes used to send supplies to China.

According to sources in Pakistan and the surrounding region, China has begun expanding the port facility on the Arabian Sea to handle large naval vessels. Additionally, the Chinese also are upgrading Gwadar International Airport so that it will be capable of handling heavy military transports.

As of September, several hundred Chinese nationals were working in Gwadar, including senior People’s Liberation Army officers. Scores of additional military personnel arrived in the port over the past month.

Additionally, there are indications the Chinese recently visited an area several hundred miles further east of Gwadar on the Sonmiani Bay near Karachi, a region known for space research and advanced computing centers. There are signs the Chinese are ready to build another port facility at that location.

Turley: ‘Reckless and Chilling’ Attacks on Free Speech by Regulating Drudge, Other Websites

Jonathan Turley, a noted law professor at George Washington University and a leading liberal voice, has joined conservatives in condemning Democratic efforts to regulate political speech on the internet.

The legal expert is especially concerned about a new proposal to sue readers of websites, such as the Drudge Report and Facebook, who share "disinformation," the Washington Examiner reported Friday.

Turley compared the new regulation plan for internet speech, pushed by former Federal Election Commissioner Ann Ravel, to Russian President Vladimir Putin's strangulation of free speech.

"To combat ‘fake news,' Ravel and her co-authors would undermine the use of the Internet as a forum for free speech," Turley wrote of the proposal on Thursday.

"The regulation would include the targeting of people who share stories deemed fake or disinformation by government regulators," Turley continued.

Female Israeli soldier uses martial arts to fight off crowd of ultra-Orthodox demonstrators

A fearless female soldier put her martial arts training to good use when she fought off dozens of Jewish ultra-Orthodox anti-draft protesters during a rally in Jerusalem.

Off-duty soldier Nomi Golan fended off a baying crowd of protesters, demonstrating against the arrest of two yeshiva students who refused to show up to the military recruitment office.

Using a series of expert karate kicks and chops, Golan held back the violent rabble who were preventing a car from driving up a street.

The video shows the group of men spitting and swearing at Golan, calling her a 'shiksa' (a non-Jewish woman) as well as a w****.

Soros's Man in Alabama

Doug Jones, the Democratic candidate for December’s Senate special election in Alabama, spearheaded an effort on behalf of a legal group massively funded by billionaire George Soros that sought to fundamentally transform the role of U.S. Attorneys from one of prosecuting criminals to activists that enact a so-called progressive criminal justice agenda.

Among other things, Jones’ project called on federal prosecutors to reduce or avoid sentences for drug offenders, make decisions about seeking jail time on individual cases based upon federal incarceration levels and use their pulpits to “spread change” and work with outside “community organizations” to root out the “causes of violence.”

One section of the report seeks to put U.S. Attorneys in the role of social justice warriors who go to schools to preach against “bullying,” coach Little League teams and mentor at risk youths. All this while working to “develop solutions to problems that do not involve prosecutions, such as mediating disputes and participating in school intervention programs.”

NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION

We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to  help everyone get along, restore some semblance of  justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great- grandchildren, hereby try one more  time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.'
ARTICLE I:
You do not  have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II:
You do not have  the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not  just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of dummies, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III:
You do not have the  right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV:
You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we  are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.
ARTICLE V:
You do not have the right to free health care That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI:
You do not have the right to physically harm other people If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you get the blue juice.

ARTICLE VII:
You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of  leisure.
ARTICLE VIII:
You do not have the right to . All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.
ARTICLE IX:
You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X:
This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you came from, English is our language. Learn it!

Lastly

ARTICLE XI:
You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was  founded on the belief in one true God.. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase is part of our heritage and history, sorry if you are uncomfortable with it.

Most Signatories Are ‘Ignoring’ or ‘Abandoning’ Paris Climate Commitments

Following President Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord, a number of other nations have quietly begun ignoring the Paris energy goals, according to a new report out of Canada.

According to Lawrence Solomon of Energy Probe, a Toronto-based environmental organization, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is one of the only signers of the Paris agreement who is actually abiding by the exacting demands of the accord.

Meanwhile, Solomon notes in an essay in Friday’s Financial Post, “most signatories are ignoring, if not altogether abandoning Paris commitments, undoubtedly because voters in large part put no stock in scary global warming scenarios.”

“Trudeau now stands almost alone in sincere support of Paris,” Solomon writes.

City spent more than $1B on lawsuit payouts

City payouts on lawsuits and claims have topped $1 billion a year.

The city doled out the staggering sum in settlements and judgments in fiscal year 2016, with payments for injuries and other damages rising by 7 percent over the prior fiscal year, city Comptroller Scott Stringer reports.

Nearly 10,000 tort claimants received $629.5 million for alleged police misconduct or mistakes, medical malpractice or unsafe sidewalks and schools.

The payments also ended dust-gathering suits filed as long ago as 1993, including $13.5 million for seven murder victims of “Mafia Cops” Louis Eppolito and Stephen Caracappa, NYPD detectives who served the Lucchese crime family in the ’80s and ’90s.

Another $380.9 million paid claims in cases involving contracts, salary disputes, or a lack of special-ed services.

Stringer called the payout total “alarming.”

Silverglate: How Robert Mueller Tried To Entrap Me

Is special counsel Robert S. Mueller III, appointed in mid-May to lead the investigation into suspected ties between Donald Trump’s campaign and various shady (aren’t they all?) Russian officials, the choirboy that he’s being touted to be, or is he more akin to a modern-day Tomas de Torquemada, the Castilian Dominican friar who was the first Grand Inquisitor in the 15th Century Spanish Inquisition?

Given the rampant media partisanship since the election, one would think that Mueller’s appointment would lend credibility to the hunt for violations of law by candidate, now President Trump and his minions.

But I have known Mueller during key moments of his career as a federal prosecutor. My experience has taught me to approach whatever he does in the Trump investigation with a requisite degree of skepticism or, at the very least, extreme caution.

"She's running for president, take it to the bank"

Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.) more than doubled her spending in the third quarter on an online media firm that played a major part in boosting the national profile of Sen. Bernie Sanders (D., Vt.) during his run for the Democratic presidential primary, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Harris, who is regularly floated as a Democratic candidate for president in 2020, paid Revolution Messaging LLC, a Washington, D.C.,-based online media firm, $255,000 from her campaign committee, Kamala Harris for Senate, between July 1 and September 30, according to its October quarterly report.

The campaign spent a majority of this money—$234,737—on web advertisements, the filings show. The remaining $21,000 went toward campaign consulting. Harris's campaign reported spending $508,270.03 the last three months, meaning that the $255,737 that went to Revolution Messaging accounted for more than half of its expenditures.

The money that went to Revolution Messaging during the third quarter is more than double the $110,000 the campaign had spent on the firm during the second quarter.

Identity Politics: Dems Recruited White Male to Take My Seat

Rep. Mia Love (R-UT) lambasted Michelle Obama for her charge that people do not trust politics because the GOP is "all men, all white."

"I don't know if she noticed, but I am not white and I am not a male," the Utah congresswoman said on "Fox & Friends" Saturday.

Obama said she noticed the difference particularly when she attended State of the Union addresses and had a view of both sides of the House of Representatives.

"Physically, there’s a difference in color, in the tone. Because one side: all men, all white. On the other side: some women, some people of color," the former first lady said Tuesday at the Pennsylvania Conference for Women in Philadelphia.

"I look at that and I go no wonder, no wonder we struggle, no wonder people don't trust politics."

Love called Obama's comment "incredibly ironic and hypocritical."

Love - the only black, female Republican in Congress - pointed out that Nancy Pelosi recruited a white male to run against her in 2016.

Kiwi sisters targeted by cyber stalker say authorities are powerless to help them: (Salisbury Man)

Two Kiwi sisters who have been targeted by a United States-based "stalker" in a decade-long campaign of online harassment are begging for authorities to intervene.

Harriet Campbell, 25, said the harassment began ten years ago when she met Eric Purnell on an online forum, and he began asking questions about her personal life that made her uncomfortable.

Purnell then allegedly started bombarding Campbell, then aged just 14, with abusive messages from fake accounts, forcing her to quit social media completely.

The US man then found her contact details and those of her sister, Alice Campbell, whom he begged to convince Harriet to resume their online contact

Their experience is becoming increasingly common: it is difficult for authorities to crack down on international cyber-crime.

The situation worsened to the point that the sisters started receiving death and rape threats from an online persona called 'The Hacker'.

This prompted them to complain to the New Zealand police and their counterparts in the United States.

American police say they have been unable to prosecute Purnell because the crime was a "misdemeanour".

Trump To Allow Release Of 3,000 Never Before Seen Documents On JFK Assassination

Following years of delays, President Trump announced on Twitter on Saturday morning that he will allow the release of more than 3,000 of classified documents from the FBI, CIA, and Justice Department on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. The unexpected announcement means that a trove of previously unseen documents will be released by the National Archives by October 26.

“Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” Trump tweeted.
Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened.

In 1992, Congress mandated that all assassination documents be released within 25 years, unless the president asserts that doing so would harm intelligence, law enforcement, military operations or foreign relations. The still-secret documents include more than 3,000 that have never been seen by the public and more than 30,000 that have been released previously, but with redactions, according to CBS. Trump's decision means that thousands of formerly classified documents related to Kennedy’s assassination will be unveiled next week in compliance with the President John F. Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act of 1992, which states that the federal government must release them by Oct. 26, 2017.

Did John McCain Provide The Infamous 'Trump Dossier' To BuzzFeed?

After nearly a year of cogitating, no one in the media, usually a fairly leaky institution, has been able to figure out who exactly who provided the infamous "Trump Dossier" to BuzzFeed which was published on January 10, 2017 and promptly debunked within approximately 35 seconds.

As the Daily Caller points out today, less than a handful of people had access to the dossier before it made its way to BuzzFeed: John McCain, David Kramer (a former State Department official and an associate of McCain), then FBI Director James Comey and Fusion GPS (the creator of the document). Fusion GPS has since admitted under oath that they did not share the document with BuzzFeed which basically just leaves John McCain (and/or his associate) or James Comey.

Asked about the dossier recently, an irritable, and perhaps defensive, McCain lashed out at a Daily Caller reporter (seemingly a new trend for McCain of late) saying only "I don’t know why you’re digging this up now."

In addition to McCain and Steele, opposition research firm Fusion GPS had the dossier, as did David J. Kramer, a former State Department official and an associate of McCdoain’s.

One person who was provided a copy of the salacious document, written by former British spy Christopher Steele, is Arizona Sen. John McCain. But McCain, who has already acknowledged providing an early version of the dossier to former FBI Director James Comey, denied this week that he also gave a version to BuzzFeed, which published it on Jan. 10.

“I gave it to no one except for the director of the FBI. I don’t know why you’re digging this up now,” McCain said during a testy exchange with The Daily Caller on Wednesday.

McCain was asked whether he was BuzzFeed’s source after the Republican’s office declined to answer direct questions on the matter.

As a reminder, here is a recap of the timeline leading up the dossier's BuzzFeed debut.

Dobbs: Uranium One ‘May Well Turn Out To Be the Biggest Scandal in American Political History’

While speaking with Peter Schweizer, the author of “Clinton Cash” and Breitbart News senior editor-at-large on Friday, Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs argued that the Uranium One deal could end up being the biggest scandal in the history of American politics.

Dobbs said, “There is no clear statement as to why we would give up, for any reason, any price, 20% of our uranium in this country. And secondly, have you ever heard of anyone putting $145 million, at one moment, into the hands of the Clinton foundation?"

O’Reilly Settled New Sexual Harassment Claim, Then Fox Renewed His Contract

In January, the Fox News host was said to have agreed to a $32 million settlement with a former network analyst, the largest of his known payouts.

Last January, six months after Fox News ousted its chairman amid a sexual harassment scandal, the network’s top-rated host at the time, Bill O’Reilly, struck a $32 million agreement with a longtime network analyst to settle new sexual harassment allegations, according to two people briefed on the matter — an extraordinarily large amount for such cases.

Although the deal has not been previously made public, the network’s parent company, 21st Century Fox, acknowledges that it was aware of the woman’s complaints about Mr. O’Reilly. They included allegations of repeated harassment, a nonconsensual sexual relationship and the sending of gay pornography and other sexually explicit material to her, according to the people briefed on the matter.

It was at least the sixth agreement — and by far the largest — made by either Mr. O’Reilly or the company to settle harassment allegations against him. Despite that record, 21st Century Fox began contract negotiations with Mr. O’Reilly, and in February granted him a four-year extension that paid $25 million a year.

Trump's Call to Goldstar Widow Recorded, Shows Real Side

President Donald Trump called Natasha De Alencar in April, four days after her husband, Army Staff Sgt. Mark R. De Alencar, had been killed in Afghanistan, praising her husband as "an unbelievable hero," The Washington Post reported Friday.

De Alencar was surrounded by her five children when she took the call from the president, as one of her daughters filmed the conversation.

Trump told her he was sorry about the "whole situation" and twice invited her to Washington.

"If you're around Washington, you come over and see me in the Oval Office," Trump said during the four-minute conversation.

Artist Sues Hotel, Claiming His Paintings Became Infested With Bedbugs, Were Used In Porn Shoots

Hotel guests are notorious for treating their temporary living quarters with utter disregard; the phrase “trashing a hotel room” has been part of cultural parlance since at least the dawn of the rock star. Even the poshest of resorts often fall victim to their guests’ worst proclivities. In spite of all the obvious risk involved, one artist thought it would be a good idea to not only have his artwork displayed throughout a luxury hotel, but to install that artwork in the form of headboards. Now he’s suing the hotel after finding out that guests have apparently been treating his art like any other piece of hotel furniture — which, obviously, includes being in the background of porn videos.

Bagged Salad Recall Expands To Include Vegetables Sold At Walmart, Target, Others

This morning, we shared a recall notice from grocery chain Trader Joe’s that its kohlrabi salad mix had been recalled after a supplier let the company know about potential listeria contamination. It turns out that recall was much bigger, involving other retailers including Albertsons, H-E-B, and Walmart, and vegetables that are less fun to say than “kohlrabi.”
