In a recent interview with ITV, Assange said the whistleblowing website will soon be leaking documents that will provide “enough evidence” for the Department of Justice to indict the presumptive Democratic nominee. WikiLeaks has already published 30,322 emails from Clinton’s private email server, spanning from June 30, 2010 to August 12, 2014. While Assange didn’t specify what exactly was in the emails, he did tell ITV that WikiLeaks had “accumulated a lot of material about Hillary Clinton, which could proceed to an indictment.”
Assange hinted that the emails slated for publication contain additional information about the Clinton Foundation. He also reminded ITV’s Robert Peston that previously released emails contained one damning piece of communication from Clinton, instructing a staffer to remove the classification settings from an official State Department communication and send it through a “nonsecure” channel. Assange then pointed out that the Obama administration has previously prosecuted numerous whistleblowers for violating the government’s procedures for handling classified documents.
In regard to the ongoing FBI investigation, however, Assange expressed a lack of confidence in the Obama administration’s Justice Department to indict the former Secretary of State.
“[Attorney General Loretta Lynch] is not going to indict Hillary Clinton. It’s not possible that could happen. But the FBI could push for new concessions from the Clinton government in exchange for its lack of indictment.”

Fascism
If neoconservatives and progressives truly understood fascism, they would stop using the word as a smear term. That is because both groups, along with most political figures and commentators, embrace fascist ideas and policies.
Fascism’s distinguishing characteristic is a “mixed economy.” Unlike socialists and communists who seek to abolish private business, fascists are content to let business remain in private hands. Instead, fascists use regulations, mandates, and taxes to control business and run (and ruin) the economy. A fascist system, then, is one where private businesses serve politicians and bureaucrats instead of consumers. Does the modern American economy not fit the definition of fascism?
Fascism benefits big businesses that can afford the cost of complying with government regulations, unlike their smaller competitors. Big businesses, which have more political influence than entrepreneurs or small businesses, also significantly benefit from government subsidies. In order to maintain their power, big businesses finance the “deep state” — the network of lobbyists, journalists, think tanks, bureaucrats, and congressional staffers who work behind the scenes to shape government policy.
Obamacare is an example of fascism that is often mislabeled as socialism. Obamacare did not create a government-run “single payer” system as would exist under socialism. Instead, Obamacare extended government control over health care via mandates, regulations, and subsidies. The most infamous part of Obamacare — the individual mandate — forces individuals to purchase a product from a private industry.

Allen Dulles Had Many Reasons To Kill JFK
Would Allen Dulles have resorted to assassinating the President of the United States to ensure the achievement of his ‘Indonesian strategy’?
This is the central question addressed by Greg Poulgrain in his extraordinarily important book, The Incubus of Intervention: Conflicting Indonesian Strategies of John F. Kennedy and Allen Dulles.
Two days before President John Kennedy’s assassination on November 22, 1963, he had accepted an invitation from Indonesian President Sukarno to visit that country the following spring. The aim of the visit was to end the conflict (Konfrontasi) between Indonesia and Malaysia and to continue Kennedy’s efforts to support post-colonial Indonesia with economic and developmental aid, not military. It was part of his larger strategy of ending conflict throughout Southeast Asia and assisting the growth of democracy in newly liberated post-colonial countries worldwide.
He had forecast his position in a dramatic speech in 1957 when, as a Massachusetts Senator, he told the Senate that he supported the Algerian liberation movement and opposed colonial imperialism worldwide. The speech caused an international uproar and Kennedy was harshly attacked by Eisenhower, Nixon, John Foster Dulles, and even liberals such as Adlai Stevenson. But he was praised throughout the third world.

LGBT Activists Blame Christians for Orlando Attack
Several prominent gay-rights activists took to social media to blame Christians for Sunday’s massacre at a gay nightclub in Orlando.
Chase Strangio, a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union, on Sunday said the “Christian Right” is implicated in the slaughter by passing “anti-LGBT bills.”
“The Christian Right has introduced 200 anti-LGBT bills in the last six months, and people are blaming Islam for this. No,” Mr. Strangio said in a Twitter post.
Mr. Strangio was not the only one to draw a moral equivalence between Christianity’s teaching on sexuality and the mass shooting, which was carried out by a man who swore his allegiance to the Islamic State.
Sally Kohn, an MSNBC contributor who is outspoken about LGBT rights, accused those who subscribe to traditional sexual morality of hypocrisy for condemning the murder of gay people.
“Always fascinating to watch conservatives who won’t support basic non-discrimination laws bash Islamic fundamentalists for being anti-gay,” Ms. Kohn said on Twitter.
“You either support the dignity & equal treatment of all LGBT people or you support their systemic dehumanization,” she said in another post.
“Islamic Extremists kill LGBT people,” a third post said. “Christian and Jewish extremists just drive us to commit suicide.”

Trump: Hillary's Terrorism Solution Is to ‘Disarm Law-Abiding Americans’
During a June 13 speech, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump warned that Hillary Clinton’s solution to terrorism is to disarm “law-abiding Americans.”
He said this while commenting on the Orlando terror attack in which approximately 50 were shot and killed and 53 wounded in a nightclub where guns were banned.
Trump said Clinton’s “solution [to terrorism] is to ban guns.” He continued:
"They tried that in France, which has among the toughest gun laws anywhere in the world, and 130 people were murdered by Islamic terrorists in cold blood. Her plan is disarm law-abiding Americans, abolishing the Second Amendment and leaving only the bad guys and terrorists with guns."
On June 5 Clinton outlined her plan to abolish the Second Amendment

Subject: Dumber than a Box of Rocks
I’m a lifelong Republican. I was born into it. My dad was a Jewish Republican butcher from Brownsville, Brooklyn. His favorite saying was “Watch what a man does, not what he says.”
My wise dad also taught me, “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but names can never hurt me.” He must be rolling over in his grave watching today’s GOP cowards — oops — I meant leaders.
The Republican leadership is so dumb. Dumber than a box of rocks. Weak, feckless, cowards. They have proved themselves rats by deserting Donald Trump over a sentence.
I never heard this much screaming when Hillary Clinton was busy covering up Benghazi, or lying to the face of the parents of dead heroes at Dover Air Force Base when the Benghazi bodies returned home, or when the Clinton Foundation took billions in bribes from foreign governments, or when President Obama committed fraud to sell Obamacare, or when Mr. Obama killed millions of middle-class jobs, or when Mr. Obama used the Internal Revenue Service to viciously and maliciously target, intimidate and persecute conservative groups and individual high-profile critics (like me) in the worst witch hunt in U.S. political history.
But when Mr. Trump fights back against liberal prejudice and bias in the legal and judicial system, when he dares to question a biased liberal judge appointed by Mr. Obama who made contributions to Democratic candidates, who belongs to La Raza Lawyers of San Diego, who was on a selection committee to choose illegal aliens to get scholarships, who clearly hates Mr. Trump’s views on building “the wall,” that’s biggest issue in the history of the Republican Party. That’s “racism” and must be stamped out immediately.
For argument’s sake, let’s examine the results of Mr. Obama’s actions upon the U.S. economy that did not attract this kind of shock, awe and vitriol from either liberals, the media or establishment Republican leaders.
Then you can tell me what is more important — Mr. Obama’s actions or one sentence from Mr. Trump.

Chick-fil-A Did WHAT on Sunday?
It’s not all that unusual in the Christian faith to express sympathy and compassion by preparing a country ham or a batch of biscuits or a peach cobbler.
It’s how we show folks that we care – we feed them.
Honestly, I think we do a better job communicating love with a sweet potato pie than we do with words.
Or if you are Chick-fil-A you communicate love through a chicken sandwich.
And that brings me to a heartwarming story that has emerged from the aftermath of the Islamist terrorist attack in Orlando.
Now, I should tell you that the folks over at Chick-fil-A are going to be mighty upset with me. They did not want me to tell you what I’m about to tell you.
But it’s a story you really need to hear. It’s a story we all need to hear – a chicken sandwich for the soul kind of story.
Normally Chick-fil-A is closed on Sunday so workers can go to church or spend time with their families or just sit on the front porch in a rocking chair and wave to passersby.
So when I received word through some of our readers that several Chick-fil-A restaurants in Orlando had opened their doors on Sunday – I was a bit intrigued.
Hours after the gunman had massacred 49 people and wounded dozens more in the Pulse nightclub, the community sprang into action.

DNC confirms Russian hackers breached servers, stole Trump files
Hackers linked to the Russian government have been roaming the systems of the Democratic National Committee for a year, officials confirmed on Tuesday.
"When we discovered the intrusion, we treated this like the serious incident it is and reached out to CrowdStrike immediately. Our team moved as quickly as possible to kick out the intruders and secure our network," DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., said in a statement. "The security of our system is critical to our operation and to the confidence of the campaigns and state parties we work with."
The hackers made off with the committee's internal communications and, most notably, its opposition research file on Donald Trump. The groups CrowdStrike identified in the system included "Fancy Bear," linked to Russian military intelligence service GRU, and "Cozy Bear," related to the country's Federal Security Service.

Sources: Russian Government Intercepted and Will Release Hillary's Emails
WASHINGTON DC – Sources are reporting that the Russian government is prepared to release private emails that it obtained from Hillary Clinton’s email server, proving Clinton allowed classified information to end up in the hands of foreign adversaries.
Intelligence sources are bracing for the Russian release of Clinton’s intercepted emails, according to a report in the trade publication Oilprice.com:
Reliable intelligence sources in the West have indicated that warnings had been received that the Russian Government could in the near future release the text of email messages intercepted from U.S. Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail server from the time she was U.S. Secretary of State. The release would, the messaging indicated, prove that Secretary Clinton had, in fact, laid open U.S. secrets to foreign interception by putting highly-classified Government reports onto a private server in violation of U.S. law, and that, as suspected, the server had been targeted and hacked by foreign intelligence services.

Obama: Saying 'radical Islam' doesn't 'make it go away'
President Obama on Tuesday rejected his Republican critics who say he's afraid to call terrorists "radical Islamists," and said using that term wouldn't change anything.
Do Republicans think, "We can't beat terrorists unless we call them radical Islamists?" Obama asked Tuesday after meeting with his national security team at the Treasury Department to discuss the anti-ISIS campaign.
"What exactly would using this label accomplish? What exactly would it change?" he said. "Is there a military strategy that is served by this? The answer is, none of the above. Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away."
"This is a political distraction," Obama said. "It's a political talking point, it's not a strategy."

Hillary Clinton Had Secret Memo on Obama Admin 'Support' for ISIS
WASHINGTON, DC — Hillary Clinton received a classified intelligence report stating that the Obama administration was actively supporting Al Qaeda in Iraq, the terrorist group that became the Islamic State.
The memo made clear that Al Qaeda in Iraq was speaking through Muhammad Al Adnani, who is now the senior spokesman for the Islamic State, also known as ISIS. Western and Gulf states were supporting the terrorist group to try to overthrow Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad, who was being propped up by the Russians, Iranians, and Chinese.
In August 2012, a “SECRET” classified memo was sent to various top Obama administration officials and agencies, including to the State Department and to Clinton’s office personally.
“The document is an IAR, an intelligence information report,” said Christopher J. Farrell, who serves on the board of directors of Judicial Watch, which obtained the document. “It is produced by somebody within the Defense intelligence agency (DIA). It is reporting from the field by an intelligence agent” who could be a U.S. government agent, a defense attaché, or a source.

After 9/11, Saudis Had Huma Abedin-Connected Group Removed from Terror List
Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin has deep and, so far, unexplained connections to a Saudi Arabian man who ran a Saudi organization that U.S. intelligence connected to terror funding during both Bill Clinton and George W. Bush’s administrations, but escaped scrutiny after pressure from the Saudi Arabian government.
Details about the group called the Muslim World League were originally published in 2001 and 2004, but their significance was not fully clear until recently, with Huma Abedin acting as co-chairwoman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
Although Abedin has made headlines in recent months for her central role in the Hillary Clinton email server scandal, as well as a Showtime movie that highlights her husband, disgraced former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner’s failed New York mayoral bid, Abedin has managed to avoid any serious scrutiny from the press. However, given the clear danger posed by Islamist terror groups like the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), the newly unearthed material about Huma Abedin’s direct connection to a man who ran a group that U.S. intelligence suspected of direct involvement with terrorism raises deeply troubling questions.

Senate Democrats Blocking Pro-Israel Effort to Combat Jewish Boycotts
A congressional measure to combat economic boycotts of Israel is being blocked by a leading senator who recently called on the Obama administration to investigate what he alleged are Israeli war crimes, according to congressional sources apprised of the matter.
A group of senators has been working to ensure that a measure to penalize supporters of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, or BDS—an anti-Israel movement that seeks to wage economic warfare on the Jewish state—is included in a government funding bill currently up for debate in the Senate.
The anti-BDS language, which would help state and local governments cut economic ties with any business linked to the BDS movement, is being stalled by Sen. Patrick Leahy (D., Vt.), who does not want the language inserted into the Fiscal Year 2017 National Defense Authorization Act, a bill that funds most U.S. defense priorities.
Leahy, who is blocking the measure on behalf of those opposed to its language, says the pro-Israel measure will lead to greater disaster in the Middle East, according to congressional sources familiar with the senator’s stance.
Leahy is the second Democrat in less than a week to express opposition to the measure and place a hold on it. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D., Ohio) had been leading the charge until late Monday when a spokesperson for his office told the Washington Free Beacon that he no longer opposed the language.
A spokesperson for Leahy’s office did not respond to a Free Beacon request for comment on the matter.
Leahy has been a vocal critic of Israel and recently called on the State Department to launch an investigation into what he said were Israeli human rights violations in the Middle East.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn Stands With Trump on Temporary Muslim Migration Pause
The terrorist attack in Orlando that ended 49 lives is another reminder of the threat we face from Radical Islam. There is a deadly element of Islam spreading like a cancer throughout our country and we must unite to confront it.
Democrats’ bludgeoning of Americans with political correctness has weakened our resolve. Their hesitation to confront Radical Islam, or even utter the term, has emboldened the jihadists – and not for the first time.
During Bill Clinton’s presidency, Islamic terrorists perpetrated the following attacks against America: 1) 1993 World Trade Center bombing; 2) 1996 Khobar Towers; 3) 1998 Embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania; 4) 2000 bombing of the USS Cole. Each attack was followed with little to no response. The terrorists felt victorious. They felt invincible. And even worse, they did not fear us. This, of course, culminated in the 9-11 attacks. Ironically, the day before 9-11, President Clinton told an audience that he “could have killed” September 11th mastermind Osama Bin Laden in 1998. The next day, 2,977 Americans were killed by Bin Laden’s Al-Qaeda terrorist group.
Under the Obama presidency we have endured attacks on Ft. Hood, Benghazi, Boston, Chattanooga, San Bernardino, and now Orlando. Incredibly, he and Hillary Clinton are now calling for increasing Syrian refugees to America despite known ISIS pledges to exploit the program and universal agreement that we cannot vet these individuals – how delusional.
Donald Trump has promised to use every tool at our disposal to go after Radical Islam. He speaks to Americans with unequivocal clarity at a time when clarity is required. Americans know that Mr. Trump is right when he says we must “now get very tough, very smart and very vigilant.” His plan to temporarily suspend immigration from areas with a “proven history of terrorism” could not be any more common sense. I filed a bill to temporarily suspend the refugee resettlement program last December for the same reason.

Judge Orders Release of State Memos Relating to Clinton Server
A federal judge ordered the release on Tuesday of State Department records related to Hillary Clinton’s private email that were mentioned in a scathing inspector general report last month.
The documents, which will be released by June 21, include a State Department memo about Clinton’s server that was written by intel staffers on March 17, 2009, the day the server was reportedly set up. They also include staff correspondence regarding “operational issues affecting the Secretary’s email and server” between 2010 and 2012.
The documents could provide additional context for a report released by the State Department inspector general in May, which excoriated the department’s record keeping failures under Clinton’s tenure as secretary.
The documents were requested by the government watchdog group Judicial Watch as part of its ongoing public records lawsuit against the State Department. U.S. District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan has granted discovery in the case to determine whether the State Department intentionally evaded public records laws.

Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport to Showcase World-Leading Anti-Terror Security
Jerusalem (CNSNews.com) – Airport security experts from dozens of countries plan to take a page out of Israel’s book in the coming weeks, when its international airport plays host to visitors from 40 countries who want to learn how the small, beleaguered country has avoided hijacking and airport attacks for the past 45 years.
Officials from Israel’s Ministry of Transportation told CNN recently that about 10 flights a day at the country’s only major airport, Ben Gurion near Tel Aviv, are flagged as suspicious. Systems for checking and verifying flights take place on a 24/7 basis at various points in the process of travel and at the airport.
The Israeli system, known as the “rings of steel,” operates an an airport that saw almost 16 million people pass through in 2015, with passenger traffic steadily increasing over the past five years.
No aircraft heading to or from Israel has been successfully attacked since 1972, when PLO terrorists hijacked a Belgian aircraft en route to Tel Aviv. It landed at what was then known as Lod airport, where a group of elite commandos including later prime ministers Ehud Barak and Binyamin Netanyahu stormed the plane and rescued the hostages.

Obama Hits Back At Trump: Meaningless ‘Radical Islamic Terrorism’ Debate ‘Is A Political Distraction’
President Obama answered Donald Trump’s dangerous, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim post-Orlando message today in a remarkably forceful speech, saying that Donald Trump’s insistence on calling the Orlando shooting and other domestic terror attacks “radical Islamic terrorism” is a political maneuver that doesn’t make Americans safer.
“For a while now, the main contribution of some of my friends on the other side of the aisle … in the fight against ISIL is to criticize this administration and me for not using the phrase ‘radical Islam.’
“‘That’s the key,’ they tell us. ‘We can’t beat ISIL unless we call them ‘radical Islamists.’
“What exactly would using this label accomplish? What exactly would it change? Would it make ISIL less committed to trying to kill Americans? Would it bring in more allies? Is there a military strategy that is served by this? The answer is, ‘None of the above.’

Trump: 'Immigration Is a Privilege'
(CNSNews.com) - Donald Trump, speaking in New Hampshire on Monday, said he is a better friend to the "gay community" than Hillary Clinton is, as long as she continues to support immigration policies that bring Islamic extremists into the country -- people who "suppress women, gays and anyone who doesn't share their views or values."
"Immigration is a privilege, and we should not let anyone into this country who doesn't support our communities -- all of our communities, every single one of them," Trump said.
"Remember this, radical Islam is anti-woman, anti-gay and anti-American," Trump said. "I refuse to allow America to become a place where gay people, Christian people, Jewish people are targets of persecution and intimation by radical Islamic preachers of hate and violence."
The Republican presidential hopeful noted that the United States already has admitted four times more immigrants than any country on Earth, and "we don't even know who's coming in."
"And we continue to admit millions more with no real checks or scrutiny."

Nine Refugees With Active TB Sent To a Single Kentucky County Since 2013
Fayette County, Kentucky is not only the site of the University of Kentucky’s Lexington campus and home to the NCAA basketball powerhouse Kentucky Wildcats.
It’s also where nine of the 842 refugees who arrived between 2013 and 2015 were diagnosed with active TB, according to the Lexington-Fayette County Health Department (LFCHD)
Kentucky is now the fourth state in which Breitbart News has found refugees with active TB have been sent by the federal government. Ten refugees with active TB were sent to Colorado between 2011 and 2015. Four refugees with active TB were resettled in Indiana in 2015, and eleven refugees with active TB were resettled in Florida in the three years between 2013 and 2015.
Breitbart News has obtained information from public health departments in three additional states, the names of which and numbers of affected refugees will be reported throughout the week in advance of the upcoming June 20 World Refugee Day where refugees were also diagnosed with active TB shortly after their arrival. That will bring the total to seven known states where refugees with active TB have been sent by the federal government.
World Refugee Day is a public relations and propaganda blitz organized by the powerful and politically connected refugee resettlement industry.

Long-Time Teacher Retiring After 40 Years; McAleer Been At Showell Since It Opened In 1976
SHOWELL – It’s not unusual for first-grade teacher Toni McAleer to let her students take books from her classroom library home. After more than four decades in front of the chalkboard, she knows it’s one of those little things that helps turn her students into avid readers. That’s why it’s the way she’d like to end her 45-year teaching career.
“I hope I hear ‘Mrs. McAleer can I take a book home tonight?’’ she said this week. “I plan to say yes 18 times.”
McAleer will say goodbye to her students for the final time Friday as she retires after 40 years at Showell Elementary School.
“I just decided it was time to take a new path in life,” McAleer said.
McAleer, a Newark resident, has been a fixture at the school since it opened in 1976. She still recalls the excitement she and her peers felt as Wilda Stroh, Showell’s first principal, tasked them with opening a brand new school.
“She told us we were hand-picked to start the school,” McAleer said. “We got to build the character of the school from the beginning.”
She’s proud of the fact nearly half a century later the school has the same values it did in 1976. Respect is the rule, and McAleer tries to model an “attitude of gratitude” for her students. She says what she’ll miss about the school is its unique atmosphere.

DHS whistleblower: Orlando terror linked to San Bernardino
A former Department of Homeland Security official says it took him only a few hours to connect Sunday’s Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando to December’s carnage in San Bernardino, and he says the federal government’s active refusal to acknowledge reality is “handcuffing” efforts to keep the American people safe.
Philip Haney served nearly a decade at the Department of Homeland Security after its inception in 2003. His responsibilities there included investigations for Customs and Border Patrol through its National Targeting Center. While there, he played a key role in vetting people connected to Tablighi Jamaat, an Islamic group with some 70 million members.
He is the author of the new book, “See Something, Say Nothing: A Homeland Security Officer Exposes the Government’s Submission to Jihad.”
In less than two days since the massacre at the Pulse club in Orlando, reports have surfaced that terrorist Omar Saddiqui Mateen was investigated multiple times by the FBI but was ultimately deemed not to be a threat, despite professing a link to the Boston Marathon bombers and the terrorist group Hezbollah.

Court upholds Sussex prosecutor’s suspension over prank
DOVER — A dangerous courthouse prank warranted the 30-day suspension of a veteran Sussex County prosecutor, the Supreme Court determined last week.
The court found that Deputy Attorney General Adam D. Gelof “intentionally, knowingly and recklessly created a potentially very dangerous situation” when he persuaded a bailiff to point a gun toward a prosecutor during back and forth joking at the Sussex County Courthouse on Feb. 4, 2015.
Mr. Gelof’s suspension begins on July 1. He previously was disciplined by the Delaware Department of Justice, including a demotion to an entry level position and drop in pay, along with a paid suspension that effectively barred him from practicing law.
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel filed a report on March 23 which the Supreme Court upheld after oral arguments Wednesday. Justices Randy Holland, Karen Valihura and James Vaughn Jr. considered the matter.
In response to the Supreme Court’s ruling, spokesman Carl Kanefsky said, “As detailed in the Supreme Court’s order, the Department of Justice took disciplinary action with respect to this incident when it occurred last year.”
The Supreme Court noted that “considerable resources” were used to address the issue, including meetings, conference calls and hearings; Sussex County Superior Court Deputy Court Administrator Karen Taylor spent more than 50 hours on the case herself and took suspended bailiff Delbert Garrison’s Chief of Security responsibilities for five months.

See How Twitter Reacts When PETA Seemingly Compares Women’s Rights to Chickens’ Rights
The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals drew the ire of some on the internet after tweeting a quote Tuesday from organization President Ingrid Newkirk that seemingly equated women to chickens.
“Discrimination is discrimination,” the quote read, “whether you’re a woman or a chicken.”
It didn’t take long for others on the social media network to chime in. One person quipped, “Shall we give them voting rights, too?”

Orlando mosque tied to case Hillary’s State Dept scrubbed
When Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik massacred 14 people in San Bernardino, California, last December, newly retired Department of Homeland Security agent Philip Haney discovered that a case he developed might have prevented the attack if it had not been shut down by his agency and Hillary Clinton’s State Department.
Now, Haney tells WND that the mosque where Orlando killer Omar Mir Siddique Mateen worshiped several times a week also has a tie to that case.
He noted that the FBI twice had Mateen on its radar, but closed down the investigations both times.

College For Convicts Makes Case To Reduce Recidivism
Prison-education advocate Christopher Zoukis makes a data-driven argument to drastically reduce recidivism via education in his award-winning book, College for Convicts: The Case for Higher Education in American Prisons.
“It’s important to make the case to the average American that the United States accounts for 5 percent of the world's population, yet incarcerates about 25 percent of the world's prisoners,” says Zoukis, who himself is incarcerated at the medium-security Federal Correctional Institution Petersburg in Virginia.
“Sitting in a prison cell thinking about the future and a job is not an easy task for a number of reasons, but the fact is that for 95 percent of us, a day will come when we are once again free and need to locate and secure employment for a sustainable wage. That’s not easy for most ex-convicts.”
Examining a wealth of studies by researchers and correctional professionals, and the experience of educators, College for Convicts shows recidivism rates drop in direct correlation with the amount of education prisoners receive, and the rate drops dramatically with each additional level of education attained.
Presenting a workable solution to America's mass incarceration and recidivism problems, this book demonstrates that great fiscal benefits arise when modest sums are spent educating prisoners. Educating prisoners brings a reduction in crime and social disruption, reduced domestic spending and a rise in quality of life.
The book was awarded The Montaigne Medal in 2015 for most thought-provoking book.
“In this book, author Christopher Zoukis, a leading expert in correctional education, lays out a convincing case for providing post-secondary education for our incarcerated population. The statistics are well-known: a huge per-capita prison population in the nation, many prisoners serving sentences on nonviolent drug and immigration violations, the financial and human costs of a huge prison population, and the high rate of recidivism, all of which drain our society of valuable human and monetary resources.” – San Francisco Book Review
To further assist in the challenge of making a sustainable life after prison, Zoukis recently published Prison Education Guide, which offers a comprehensive guide to correspondence courses for prisoners – and it has a great role to play in re-shaping how we think about prison education and its effects on our nation and communities.

HEY OBAMA & HILLARY: THE LARGEST MASS SHOOTING IN US HISTORY HAPPENED DECEMBER 29,1890
When 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota were murdered by federal agents & members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began after the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. The Calvary began shooting, and managed to wipe out the entire camp. 200 of the 297 victims were women and children.
Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.
The Second Amendment, the right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and it refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defensive purposes, should such tyranny arise in the United States.
Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we should vehemently resist any attempts to infringe on our Rights to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we will be totally stripped of any ability to defend ourselves and our families.

National Aquarium to move dolphins into refuge
BALTIMORE —Eight dolphins that have spent their lives swimming in tanks will be retired from the National Aquarium in Baltimore into a seaside sanctuary.
By announcing plans to move its dolphins into a protected habitat by the end of 2020, the aquarium sails into uncharted waters for the marine mammal industry. SeaWorld, which earlier this year ended its orca breeding and hinted at similar changes for its dolphins someday, has balked at similar proposals from activists who want its animals released into natural waters.
"There's no model anywhere, that we're aware of, for this," aquarium CEO John Racanelli told The Associated Press in an interview ahead of Tuesday's announcement. "We're pioneering here, and we know it's neither the easiest nor the cheapest option."
Potential sites in the Florida Keys and the Caribbean have been explored, Racanelli said.
The Atlantic bottlenose dolphins won't simply be released into open seas. The aquarium's criteria for a sanctuary include a full-time staff, "excellent water quality" in a temperate climate, isolation pools for medical care or temporary refuge from harmful conditions and barriers to stop breeding among the dolphins or mingling with wild dolphins, Racanelli said.

Orlando shooter worked for DHS, State contractor
An international security company confirmed Monday afternoon it was the employer of the man who fatally shot 48 people at an Orlando nightclub early Sunday morning.
G4S, a large security organization, is a major federal contractor for the Homeland Security and State departments.
"Omar Mateen was employed by G4S at a residential community in South Florida and was off-duty at the time of the incident. Mateen was subject to detailed company screening when he was recruited in 2007 and re-screened in 2013 with no adverse findings. He was also subject to checks by a U.S. law enforcement agency with no findings reported to G4S," the company said in a statement.

Mateen was subject to detailed company screening when he was recruited in 2007 and re-screened in 2013 with no adverse findings. He was also subject to checks by a U.S. law enforcement agency with no findings reported to G4S," the company said in a statement.

Democrats Throw a Fit In The House
Moment of Silence Interrupted by Walk-outs and Shouting
Democrats wasted no time in calling for more gun control after the Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando Sunday, and they created massive disruption in the House of Representatives Tuesday morning, when House Speaker Paul Ryan called for a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims. Three representatives walked out the door during the silence, then others began shouting “Where’s the bill?” and “No leadership!”
Nancy Pelosi told reporters afterward that Democrats have “had enough of moments of silence” when Congress does not take action to change gun laws.
Connecticut representative Jim Himes called the moments of silence “obnoxious expressions of smug incompetence.”
Paul Ryan said in a statement earlier, “As we heal, we need to be clear-eyed about who did this,” Ryan said. “We are a nation at war with Islamist terrorists. Theirs is a repressive, hateful ideology that respects no borders. It is a threat to our people at home and abroad. Our security depends on our refusal to back down in the face of terror. We never will.”

It's 'Islamic terrorism,' Mr President. You need to say it
Stupid, ugly, misguided and pitifully inadequate responses follow jihadi murders as night follows day.
But those that erupted in the wake of Sunday's Islamist massacre of 49 people at a gay club in Orlando were even more contemptible than precedent has taught us to expect.
An ACLU lawyer quickly took to Twitter to blame "the Christian Right" and the Republican Party. That was the stupid and ugly bit.
The misguided and pitifully inadequate element was provided by President Obama, who tramped down his well-worn path to another disquisition on gun control.

Homeland floats 'national security' as excuse to take guns
The Obama administration has tried repeatedly to push more gun control through Congress, unsuccessfully. It still is trying its hand at a strategy of simply depriving people of their Second Amendment rights.
Now it is signaling a new method, claiming that “gun control” is “part and parcel” of the federal government’s responsibility for homeland security.
It was presented by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson during an appearance on CBS, when he made the claim no less than three or four times that gun control is now “part and parcel” of his agency’s responsibilities.
“I do believe,” he said, “that meanginful, responsible gun control is now part and parcel of homeland security.”
He continued, “It’s critical to public safety. We have to face the fact that meaningful, responsible gun control has to be part of Homeland Security. It’s coming I think the American public has to face.”

Word’s spreading about what Chick-Fil-A did IMMEDIATELY after Orlando attack…
We love us our Chick-Fil-A, and we know y’all do, too. Of course, we also know that “love” and “Chick-Fil-A” are not words liberals tend to use together, ever since the company’s Southern Baptist CEO expressed that he doesn’t agree with gay marriage some years ago. Liberals naturally accused Chick-Fil-A of “hate” for holding such a belief rooted in the CEO’s religion — to which, they responded with their own brand of hate toward the fast-food chain and its founder.
So one might find it ironic how Chick-Fil-A responded Sunday to news of the deadly terrorist attack in Orlando, which hit a local gay nightclub.
Following the deadly terrorist attack in Orlando early Sunday morning, employees from a few local Chick-fil-A restaurants went to work to make food for those donating blood to victims.
The Christian-owned company is known for being closed nationwide on Sundays, but decided to make an exception following the gruesome shooting that left 49 dead and at least 53 others injured. Chick-fil-A was not able to confirm exactly how many restaurants opened their doors.

Russian government hackers penetrated DNC, stole opposition research on Trump
Russian government hackers penetrated the computer network of the Democratic National Committee and gained access to the entire database of opposition research on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, according to committee officials and security experts who responded to the breach.
The intruders so thoroughly compromised the DNC’s system that they also were able to read all email and chat traffic, said DNC officials and the security experts.
The intrusion into the DNC was one of several targeting American political organizations. The networks of presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were also targeted by Russian spies, as were the computers of some GOP political action committees, U.S. officials said. But details on those cases were not available.
A Russian Embassy spokesman said he had no knowledge of such intrusions.

Syrian Immigrant Who Said 9/11 ‘Changed The World For Good’ Is A Homeland Security Advisor
One of the sitting members on the Homeland Security Advisory Council’s (HSAC) Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism is a 25-year-old immigrant of Syrian heritage who said that the 9/11 attacks “changed the world for good” and has consistently disparaged America, free speech and white people on social media.
Laila Alawa was one of just 15 people tapped to serve on the newly-formed HSAC Subcommittee on Countering Violent Extremism in 2015–the same year she became an American citizen. Just last week, the subcommittee submitted a report to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, recommending that the DHS avoid using Muslim terminology like the words “sharia” and “jihad” when discussing terrorism.
Alawa says she immigrated into the U.S. when she was ten years old. Her family had already left Syria by the time she was born. “But I will always be Syrian. I will always be from Syria. I will always be of Syria,” she wrote in November 2015, calling the country her “homeland.”

This Woman Could Have Stopped the Orlando Terrorist Attack
The Orlando gunman's wife has told federal agents she tried to talk her husband out of carrying out an attack, NBC News has learned.
Omar Mateen's current wife, Noor, told the FBI she was with him when he bought ammunition and a holster, several officials familiar with the case said. She told the FBI that she once drove him to the gay nightclub, Pulse, because he wanted to scope it out.
Mateen opened fire at Pulse early Sunday, leaving 49 dead and 53 injured.
Authorities are considering filing criminal charges against Noor for failing to tell them what she knew before the brutal attack, law enforcement officials say, but no decision has been made.

Wicomico County Launches Community Outreach Addictions Team (COAT)
(Salisbury, MD) The Wicomico County Health Department, in partnership with the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office, Wicomico County Government, Salisbury City Government, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Department and many other community partners, is pleased to announce the launch of the Community Outreach Addictions Team (COAT). COAT is a joint initiative to combat overdoses and provide a smooth transition to treatment and recovery services to individuals with an opioid addiction.
“If you, or someone you know, have experienced an overdose or an opioid addiction, encourage them to call COAT. Peer Support Specialists are available to help individuals needing assistance and accessing services,” says Health Officer Lori Brewster. Peer Support Specialists have knowledge and understanding that professional training cannot replicate. The peer approach is being used to assist individuals into treatment utilizing the skills and knowledge available to a person in recovery learned from their own experience.
COAT, consisting of three Peer Support Specialists, a supervisor and other support staff, provides telephone and in-person support to individuals who have experienced an overdose or are addicted to an opioid. It also provides assistance with linkage to local resources including access to treatment in the community and abroad. At times, peers will also work in collaboration with local law enforcement to provide outreach in high use areas. COAT can be utilized 24 hours a day with prompt response by calling 443-783-6875.

Here's Really Where Zika Mosquitoes Are Likely In The U.S.
A few months ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a startling map that showed the parts of the U.S. that could harbor mosquitoes capable of carrying Zika.
Many readers, including myself, thought, "Zika could come to my town! It could come to Connecticut! To Ohio and Indiana! Or to northern California! Oh goodness!"
The map made it look like a vast swath of the country was at risk for Zika, including New England and the Upper Midwest.
Well, not quite.
On Thursday, CDC scientists published another mosquito map for the U.S. And it paints a very different picture.
The new map shows counties in which scientists, over the past two decades, have collected Aedes aegypti mosquitoes — the type of insect thought to be spreading Zika in Latin American and the Caribbean.

Trump Explains How Obama is Protecting Hillary From Jail Time
Hillary Clinton uses the term "radical jihadism" rather than "radical Islamic terrorism" because she is "probably afraid" of President Barack Obama, Donald Trump said Monday.
“He’s the boss, OK? And she’s probably afraid of him because, obviously, you know, she probably thinks that he has a profound effect over her life," Trump said during a telephone interview on CNN's "New Day" a day after the terrorist attack at an Orlando, Florida, gay nightclub killed 49 and injured at least 53.
Alluding to the ongoing FBI investigation into the private server Clinton used for official business at the State Department, Trump remarked that Clinton's decision to call it by that name as a calculated move.

Amid Long Voting Lines And Claims Of A 'Rigged System,' Does My Vote Matter?
This week, NPR and some member stations will be talking about what the 2016 primary season has revealed about voters' confidence in the American electoral system.
This year's primaries have been filled with complaints about the voting process. Voters in Arizona were furious that they had to wait up to five hours to cast ballots. Thousands of New Yorkers had their names mistakenly dropped from voter registration rolls.
Republican candidate Donald Trump called his party's nominating system "rigged." Bernie Sanders said the Democrats' nominating system was "dumb."

As Omar Mateen swept the interior of Pulse nightclub in Orlando with gunfire, 30-year-old Eddie Justice sought shelter in a bathroom. Somehow, amid the chaos, he was able to text his mother, Mina.
"Mommy I love you. In club they shooting," one message read. About 30 minutes later, he texted: "He's coming. I'm gonna die."
"Still here in bathroom," he wrote at 2:46 a.m. "He has us. They [police] need to come get us."
Early Monday, Justice was confirmed to be among the 50 people killed in the worst mass shooting in modern American history, as city officials began releasing the names and ages of victims whose next of kin had been notified.
