Jim Ireton Is About To Get The Spanking Of His Lifetime

It has been reported through Ireton's inner circle that he will be announcing he is going to run for Congress against Andy Harris. The formal announcement should be coming soon but some have said, I wonder if he knows what it's going to feel like when the election can't be rigged.

Nevertheless, Ireton, (who is openly gay) will use his LGBT platform to go up against a well established veteran who has served his country as well as the state of Maryland.

I can't wait to see the Ireton/O'Malley platform. I'll guess he's going to promise to clean the Chesapeake Bay within 10 years so the fish can swim in it again. He'll probably propose going after the Chicken Farmers with harsher legislation. He'll propose a new name for a Rain Tax. Man, this is going to be a blast to watch.

Happy New Year: Dish, DirecTV/AT&T, Time Warner Cable All Raising Rates In January Because They Can

For a bunch of the big cable and satellite companies, it does indeed look like a very merry Christmas and a happy new year are on the horizon — but consumers can be forgiven for feeling a lot more grinchy about it. That’s because all the new nickels, dimes, and dollars that are going to line businesses’ big virtual pockets are coming directly from subscribers in the form of unasked-for price hikes.

Sad, Very Sad

Tell Chicken Giant Perdue to Stop Appalling Animal Abuse

Petition by Mercy For Animals

I’ve worked at many farms and seen a lot of cruelty to animals, but I still wasn’t prepared for what I saw at a Perdue chicken factory farm in North Carolina.
I watched in horror as workers kicked and stomped chickens to death or picked them up by their heads and spun them around to break their necks. One worker picked up a chicken and threw her hard against the wall and then violently kicked her. Others grabbed birds by their wings, legs, and necks and threw them into transport crates with no regard for their welfare.
What I saw was beyond disgusting. But you don’t have to take my word for it. I used a hidden camera to document the abuses I witnessed. I reported these abuses to the owner and called the Perdue hotline, but saw no corrective actions taken. At Perdue Farms, cruelty to animals is just business as usual.
I also turned my video footage over to law enforcement with a detailed legal complaint. Based on my video footage and testimony, law enforcement arrested the worker I filmed stomping chickens to death and charged him with felony cruelty to animals.
I am thankful that law enforcement has acted quickly to pursue justice on behalf of these abused animals. But stopping one animal abuser at this one Perdue facility won’t help the millions of chickens treated the same way in other facilities across the country. We need to do more.
Because of caring people like you, who sign petitions like this and use their voices to speak up for the voiceless, we have already seen some of the biggest food companies make changes that reduce the suffering of millions of animals.
For example, after hearing from thousands of people throughChange.org, Nestlé, Walmart, and Starbucks all made commitments to ending some of the worst forms of factory farm cruelty in their global supply chains.
There is no reason Perdue can’t do the same.
Please, take a moment to sign my petition calling on Perdue to stop torturing chickens and adopt meaningful animal welfare standards.
Thank you.

Pastor Bailey says every day he thinks about Freddie Gray, what happened inside the police van and why the case sparked such outrage in Baltimore and across the country.

Shoppers Call For Boycott Of Sam’s Club Over CEO Rosalind Brewer's Comments

Sam’s Club CEO Rosalind Brewer, who is black, stirred controversy when she said that high-ranking positions with the company's top suppliers are often filled by white males.

Brewer made the comments to CNN's Poppy Harlow after she was asked about diversity within the company.

"Just today we met with a supplier, and the entire other side of the table was all Caucasian males," Brewer said during the interview. "That was interesting. I decided not to talk about it directly with [the supplier's] folks in the room because there were actually no females, like, levels down. So I'm going to place a call to him."

Brewer also told Poppy Harlow “my executive team is very diverse, and I make that a priority. I demand it of my team and within the structure.

Many people are now speaking out against Brewer, calling her racist and using the Twitter hashtag "BoycottRacistSamsClub." Sam's Club, which has 650 stores nationwide, is owned by Walmart.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon could not immediately be reached for comment, but he praised Brewer in a statement.

"For years, we've asked our suppliers to prioritize the talent and diversity of their sales teams calling on our company," McMillon said. "Roz was simply trying to reiterate that we believe diverse and inclusive teams make for a stronger business. That's all there is to it and I support that important ideal."

Lakeisha Holloway Identified as Suspect in Deadly Las Vegas Mass Car Ramming

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A homeless woman accused of slamming a car carrying her 3-year-old daughter into a crowd of pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip was likely on her way to Dallas to find the girl’s estranged father, authorities said Monday.

Suspect Lakeisha Holloway, 24, resided in Oregon and had been in Las Vegas for about a week in her 1996 Oldsmobile sedan, parking it at garages throughout the city, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said.

Investigators said she ran out of money and they believe she was headed to Dallas to find her daughter’s father after they had a falling out.

Police believe Holloway intentionally mowed down people on a busy stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard, killing a woman from Arizona and injuring dozens of others on Sunday night.

Virginia to stop recognizing concealed carry gun permits from 25 states

RICHMOND — Attorney General Mark R. Herring (D) announced Tuesday that Virginia will no longer recognize concealed carry handgun permits from 25 states that have reciprocity agreements with the commonwealth.

Under the policy, Virginians with a history of stalking, drug dealing or inpatient mental-health treatment cannot obtain a permit in a state with comparatively lax laws and carry a handgun legally at home.

Herring said severing the out-of-state agreements can prevent people who may be dangerous or irresponsible from carrying a concealed handgun.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A large protest that started at the Mall of America quickly migrated Wednesday to Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport, where demonstrators blocked roads and caused significant traffic delays.

Airport officials said access to one of two terminals was blocked, which also caused backups on nearby roads. Some protesters took a light-rail train to the airport after the nation’s largest mall was closed by police.

When You See How Cruz’s Children Were Depicted in WaPo Cartoon, You’ll Understand Why He’s Not Happy

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz slammed the Washington Post Tuesday for publishing a cartoon appearing to depict his children as monkeys.

Ann Telnaes, a Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, argued that because the Texas senator had used his children as “political props” in a recent Christmas parody infomercial they were “fair game.”

Quinnipiac: Half of US Voters Would Be Embarrassed By Trump Presidency

Donald Trump remained at the top of the latest Quinnipiac poll by the numbers, but more than half of the respondents said they'd be embarrassed if he wins the race for the White House, and most don't think he'll defeat either Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders when it comes to a general election matchup.

"Half of American voters say they'd be embarrassed to have Donald Trump as their commander in chief and most Americans think he doesn't have a good chance in November, but there he is still at the top of the Republican heap," said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

"Hillary Clinton tops him. Sen. Bernie Sanders hammers him and Sen. Ted Cruz is snapping at his heels. Can a candidate that half the American electorate thinks is an embarrassment win in November?"

The poll finds Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz running neck-and-neck in the race.

Clinton: 'Guns...Will Not Make Americans Safer'

(CNSNews.com) - Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blamed guns for "delivering the violence that stalks us" at Saturday's Democrat debate.

"Guns, in and of themselves, in my opinion, will not make Americans safer. We lose 33,000 people a year already to gun violence, arming more people to do what I think is not the appropriate response to terrorism," Clinton said.

Debate moderator Martha Raddatz noted that Clinton, in the wake of the San Bernardino attack, repeated her call for gun control: "But our latest poll shows that more Americans believe arming people, not stricter gun laws, is the best defense against terrorism. Are they wrong?" Raddatz asked Clinton.

"Well, I think you have to look at both the terrorism challenge that we face abroad and certainly at home, and the role that guns play in delivering the violence that stalks us," Clinton replied.

Saying ‘Merry Christmas’ Is Very Important

The nearly universal change from wishing fellow Americans “Merry Christmas” to wishing them “Happy Holidays” is a very significant development in American life.

Proponents of “Happy Holidays” argue that it’s no big deal at all, and that proponents of “Merry Christmas” are making a mountain out of a molehill, especially when proponents say that the substitution of “Happy Holidays” is part of a “war on Christianity.”

But the “Happy Holidays” advocates want it both ways.

They dismiss opponents as hysterical while, at the same time, relentlessly pushing to rid America of “Merry Christmas.”

So, then, which is it? Is the substitution of “Happy Holidays” for “Merry Christmas” important or not?

The answer is obvious.

It is very important. That’s why the anti “Merry Christmas” crowd has worked so hard to make this greeting a thing of the past.

And they have been extraordinarily successful.

I have been wished “Happy Holidays” by every waiter and waitress in every restaurant I have dined; by every one of the young people who welcome me when I go to the gym; by every flight attendant and pilot on every one of my flights; and by every individual I have dealt with on the phone.

When I respond “Thank you. Merry Christmas,” I sometimes sense that I have actually created some tension. While many of those to whom I wish “Merry Christmas” may actually be happy that someone felt free to utter the C-word, all the sensitivity training that they’ve had to undergo creates cognitive dissonance.

NEOCONS THREATEN TO START NEW PARTY IF TRUMP WINS GOP NOMINATION

Third party will destroy Republican Party and ensure Clinton win

On Monday the guiding light of the neocon faction of the Republican party, Bill Kristol, said a third party will be required if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination.

Man with toy gun killed by Baltimore cop. Should toy guns be illegal?

An off-duty Baltimore cop shot and killed a suspected armed robber who was brandishing a toy gun. Amid national debate over US gun laws, some think banning fake guns is a no-brainer.

An off-duty Baltimore policeman on Saturday shot and killed a man he says appeared to be holding him at gunpoint in the suburbs of Linthicum Heights.

But when Anne Arudnel County detectives surveyed the crime scene, they realized the would-be robber was wielding a toy gun.

“It appears that this is a robbery gone wrong and the officer fired in self-defense,” Anne Arundel Police Lt. Ryan Frashure told WJZ News. “No officer wants to kill anybody much less use his service weapon if he doesn’t have to. This was just an unfortunate series of events.”

STUNNER: PENTAGON IN SECRET REVOLT AGAINST OBAMA

Muslim Reform Movement Decries Radical Islam, Calls For Equality

It takes courage to stand up publicly to radical Islam, even if you’re Muslim. Maybe especially if you’re Muslim.

Ask Asra Nomani. On Friday [Dec. 4th] she and a dozen of her fellow Muslims went to the Islamic Center of Washington, D.C., and posted a declaration on the door denouncing violent jihad, rejecting Islamic statism and opposing the “ideology of violent Islamic extremism.”

The declaration announced the formation of the Muslim Reform Movement, an international organization aimed at countering the beliefs of Middle East terrorist groups like Islamic State in what the document describes as a “battle for the soul of Islam.”

Was Ms. Nomani nervous? No doubt. But the recent bloodshed in Paris and San Bernardino, California, spurred by radical Islam has convinced her the Muslim community needs to confront frankly the connection between terrorism and religion, not deny that it exists.

“Ultimately, the reason why we, as Muslims, stood on Friday and went to the mosque and took the risks on our own lives, is because we’ve had enough,” Ms. Nomani said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I think the world has had enough.”

Her message comes with others scrambling to place the post-San Bernardino focus on anything but radical Islam. The Council on American-Islamic Relations held a press conference Friday to denounce “rising Islamophobia in America” and called for a hate crimes investigation into a threat against a Virginia mosque.
