A Comment About Riley Clark The SU LAX Player

jessie lane said...

Riley Clark is my childhood best friend, I have known him my whole life and I am the first to say what he did was wrong... but you people should also be ashamed of yourselves for putting up his address... I can not vouch for the other kid but riley has never done anything like this in his life. He has been going through a hard time recently and got drunk and did something incredibly stupid. But he's a kid, and he made a mistake... so please give him a break... and don't insult his parents, they are the ones who are suffering the most in this situation.

-Jessie Lane

I just couldn't resist saying the following.

"But he's a kid, and he made a mistake... so please give him a break." NO! Absolutely NOT! First of all, he's NOT a kid, he's an adult. Secondly, tell the Judge to give him a break, not the victims of his crimes! Are you just stupid, or what?

"and don't insult his parents, they are the ones who are suffering the most in this situation."

O M G! You just answered my question when it comes to stupidity! His parents are suffering more than anyone else? Try the property owners, (16 OF THEM) who are suffering! Try the young couple with young children explaining to their little ones why there's an 8 foot long 4x4 lying on the floor and yelling at your children to stay OFF the broken glass! Try explaining to your BOSS that you can't be at work today because some a$$hole slashed all the tires on your car!

Not a smart move Jessie.

Why Would the Daily Times Cover-up for Barrie Tilghman

Yesterday, we ran a post about a blatant lie told by Salisbury Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman. Today, the Daily Times has again made itself complicit in the shenanigans of the Tilghman administration by attempting to cover up the same lie.

On page B1 of the Daily Times we find the following correction:

Salisbury Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman supported a 10 percent water increase last year. A story in Monday's Daily Times incorrectly stated her position.
We now find the Daily Times deliberately complicit in Tilghman's lie. I spoke with reporter Laura D'Alessandro before writing yesterday's post. On at least three separate occasions during our conversation I asked if she quoted Tilghman correctly. To refresh everyone's memory, Tilghman is quoted:

Tilghman said she did not recommend a water and sewer rate increase last year because citizens were already experiencing a double-digit tax hike -- 12 percent.
After being pressed on the issue, by myself and others, the management of the Daily Times admitted that Tilghman's statement was false. The stance of their management now appears to be that D'Alessandro misquoted Tilghman. Unfortunately, scrutiny does not bear this out.

As previously noted D'Alessandro was adamant that she quoted Tilghman correctly. D'Alessandro also made the same representation to Salisbury Councilwoman Terry Cohen (adding that City Administrator John Pick had also made similar statements). Why then would the Daily Times want to lead readers to believe:

  1. Tilghman did not call for a rate hike last year (on Monday)?
  2. when caught, try to cover-up the Mayor's false statement by laying blame on D'Alessandro (Tuesday)?
The logical conclusion is that the management of the Daily Times would rather compound an error by cover-up than to clearly state that Tilghman's original statement was false.

As this year's heated budget debate continues, and the fiscal health of Salisbury circles the drain, we can wait with great anticipation to see what additional lengths the local Gannett arm will go to in order to protect the Queen of Barrieland.

The Oldest Living Salisbury Resident

I was recently told something I found very interesting. The gentleman on the left of the photo above is none other than Mr. George Chevalier, the oldest living resident of the City of Salisbury.

Now I have known this Gentleman for a few years now and have found him to be one of the kindest men I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and knowing. Of course he'd be considered one of the "Dirty Dozen" by the current administration but to me he's by far the most knowledgeable historians Salisbury has. I just thought I'd share this with all of you.

Oh, and Mr. Holland sitting to his right, he too is one of the "Dirty Dozen" and another one of the finest examples of a human being on this earth.

Click It Or Ticket

Downsizing means that The Daily Times doesn't have the Staff to cover such events and that's why you didn't see this one in today's paper.

Nevertheless, in 2006, seat belts saved some 15,383 lives. An additional 5,441 lives could have been saved if seat belts had been worn at the time of the crash. Like them or not, it's about saving lives and educating children how to properly use seat belts and or the habit of actually using them all together.

Yesterday the Shorebirds put together one heck of a successful game by welcoming the "Click it or Ticket" program to their Stadium and more than 5,000 students got to meet Police Officers from all over the State.

Today's Wildlife Photo

Does anyone out there know how to build an Ark? Yesterday we had a pair or Canada Geese, 4 mallards and a Great Blue Heron in our front pond. We've had deer, turkeys and so many other animals cross our path here, is God telling me something? Well, I guess if the rain doesn't stop any time soon I'll get the hint and start building the Ark.

One Year Ago Today

What section was this again?

Please Barrie Tilghman, Please Run Again For Office?

While I have literally hundreds of photos of Mayor Barrie Tilghman, I'm dying to bring them out again and start posting daily. More importantly, I'm dying to watch this scumbag lose in the biggest way possible. I want this Blog to destroy her campaign by exposing the truth. I want to spend the next several months bringing facts to the people and let everyone cast their vote for a dog, rather than this scumbag.

So what do you say Barrie, Joe Albero vs. the Scumbag? Oh, by the way Folks, have ANY of you had this Mayor knock on your door like she announced she was going to do weeks and weeks ago on PAC 14? The funny part is, just how many homes do you think would slam the door in that scumbags face? Come on Barrie, run for Mayor again or admit Salisbury News brought you down. Ooooooooooh, now that's a challenge!

Barrie Tilghman went up against a man she couldn't beat, ME!

Mentors? How About Rip Off Artists Instead?

Let's give these aging Board of Education Employees a 30% Bonus over 3 years to encourage them to retire, (when the money was supposed to be used to hire NEW Teachers instead) and then HIRE them back under this Bogus BS Mentoring deal and start paying these people all over again!

The Daily Times doesn't have the ability to tell the news like it should be delivered and that's why they're failing. Their convenient excuse is, we tell a story the way it's presented to us. Well maybe in the Editorial section they could have spent some time being CREATIVE on this story instead of the LAX thing instead?

I'll add, today's paper was loaded with yesterdays news repeated again today and it was extremely thin. Can you tell I'm getting very close to cancelling my subscription? The ONLY thing that keeps me going is being able to see articles like this one today and come back and blast them about it.

The Board of Education just screwed the Wicomico County Taxpayers, ONCE AGAIN!

You Call This An Apology?

Now I know where Barrie Tilghman gets her style! This should have been an ARTICLE! If you want to gain back the trust and respect of your readers, stop the BS, step forward and RE TELL the story!

Question of the Day, Tue 5/20

GO GREEN! GO GREEN! GO GREEN! GO GREEN!

What does your family do to help save our planet?

Question of the Day, Tues 5/20

Do you think the concept of "customer service" is a thing of the past?

Do you think businesses still feel the importance of a happy customer? When was the last time you received exceptional customer service? Now think of the last time you had bad customer service. Have you vowed never to return to a business due to lack of customer service?

Just Out Of Curiousity?

Wasn't there another Salisbury LAX Player with the last name HILL in trouble last year for driving over and tearing up lawns in Nutters Crossing? Does anyone remember that name and or the outcome of such vandalism?

MARINES

Two Radical Arab Terrorists boarded a flight out of London . One took a window seat and the other sat next to him in the middle seat... Just before takeoff, a U.S. Marine sat down in the aisle seat. After takeoff, the Marine kicked his shoes off, wiggled his toes and was settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, 'I need to get up and get a coke.'

'Don't get up,' said the Marine, 'I'm in the aisle seat, 'I'll get it for you.'

As soon as he left, one of the Arabs picked up the Marines shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned with the coke, the other Arab said, 'That looks good, I'd really like one, too.'

Again, the Marine obligingly went to fetch it. While he was gone the other Arab picked up the Marines other shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight.

As the plane was landing, the Marine slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened.

'Why does it have to be this way?' he asked. 'How long must this go on? This fighting between our nations? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and pissing in cokes?'

THE FEW. THE PROUD. THE MARINES.
