Democrats Are Goose-Stepping Towards Irrelevancy

Democrats recently held a meeting where party leaders made it clear loyalty is the only thing that matters. Unsurprisingly, a headline from The Washington Post article describing the meeting vastly understated reality: “House Democrats explode in recriminations as liberals lash out at moderates.” Socialist/Marxist hard-core radicals lashing out at progressives is more like it — in a party where ever-increasing demands for “authenticity” are the only currency that matters.

What kind of authenticity? “Triggering the blowup was Wednesday’s votes on a bill to expand federal background checks for gun purchases,” the Post explained. “Twenty-six moderate Democrats joined Republicans in amending the legislation, adding a provision requiring that ICE be notified if an illegal immigrant seeks to purchase a gun.”

In other words, Democrat Party members who would like to take Americans’ guns away were furious that some of their colleagues supported making sure illegals can’t get guns. As a result, media-made “superstar” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared through her spokesman that Democrats who side with Republicans “are putting themselves on a list.”

Washington Post Forced To Issue Big Corrections In Cynthia Nixon’s Hit-Piece On Mike Pence

It took four days, but The Washington Post has finally issued some major corrections to an op-ed by "Sex and the City" actress and failed New York Democratic gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon in which she declared that Vice President Mike Pence is "insidious and dangerous" and accused him of repeatedly persecuting gay people.

The op-ed, titled "Mike Pence Isn’t ‘Decent.’ He’s Insidious.", was published on March 2. Four days later, the Post added the following "correction":

Correction, March 6, 2018: This op-ed originally misstated that when Vice President Pence was president of the Indiana Policy Review Foundation, the group published an article urging businesses not to hire gay people. The referenced article concerned whether gay journalists should be permitted to cover matters related to homosexuality without disclosing their sexual orientation. The inaccurate sentence has been removed. Additionally, the op-ed should have noted that Pence’s spokesmen have disputed reports that he has ever supported conversion therapy and also that he played a leading role in Trump administration efforts to ban transgender people from military service.

Oops. Clearly that should have read "corrections" as the "correction" admits to three significant "inaccuracies."

MCCONNELL MOCKS HR 1 AS ‘PARADE OF HORRIBLE’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell held a press conference Thursday to step up his attacks against HR1, the massive election reform bill currently being debated in the House, as a “turkey” and a “parade of horrible,” warning Democrats that supporting the bill will help Republicans win in 2020.

McConnell was defiant when asked why he wouldn’t bring HR1 to the Senate floor. “Because I get to decide what we vote on,” was his response

McConnell criticized the bill again this morning during the Senate’s opening remarks. Of all the provisions he finds troublesome, he took specific issue with the section that would restructure Federal Election Commission (FEC) governance, dismantling the agency’s bi-partisan six member commission in favor of a format he believes will lead to partisan control.

TRUMP HAS SECURED FUNDING FOR MORE THAN HALF OF BORDER WALL

One hundred eleven miles of new or replacement wall is either being built or is in progress on the southern border after Trump’s first two years in office, an administration official tells The Daily Caller.

All told, the administration has secured funding for approximately 445 miles of the total 722 miles desired by the Trump administration, a Caller analysis finds. The analysis holds only if all national emergency and executive action funding is upheld in court challenges.

The administration official stressed that this figure constitutes only 18-foot bollard wall fencing or 32-foot levee wall fencing, which is the barrier that Trump has emphasized as necessary.

University Students Protest Candace Owens with ‘End White Supremacy’ Sign

Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens kicked off their first 2019 Campus Clash event at Utah Valley University on Monday. The duo was greeted by protesters who draped a banner over a balcony that read, “End White Supremacy,” an odd choice of message, given that Owens is black.

“People said, when we first started Turning Point USA, that this sort of organizing is not possible,” said Kirk to an room filled with conservative students on Monday night, “My best advice to you is that it absolutely is possible, and I’ll go a step further, it’s necessary.”

“If you believe in these core values so strongly, you have a moral prerogative to do everything possible in your power to defend those ideas,” continued Kirk, “If every single one of us did everything in our power, in our local community — our friend group, the country would look a lot different today.”

Kirk added that he believes there is a new culture of conservatism on the rise — one with more energy — thanks to President Donald Trump, who has taught conservatives how to fight.

“This kind of passive, docile conservative movement is dying thanks to Donald Trump,” said Kirk, “and we have this new grassroots energy where we are going to fight the Left on their terms.”

ACLU Blasts House Democrats’ Big ‘Election Reform’ Bill As Unconstitutional

On Friday, the historically leftist — but often quirky — American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) surprised many when it came out in opposition to House Democrats' omnibus H.R. 1 bill, dubbed the "For The People Act Of 2019."

As the name signifies, H.R. 1 is the bill label often given to a new House leadership's most symbolic or highly pressing legislative priority. In January, NPR described the For The People Act Of 2019 as "a 571-page compendium of existing problems and proposed solutions in four political hot zones: voting, political money, redistricting and ethics."

Among other things, H.R. 1 provides for automatic voter registration, makes election day a national holiday, restores many felons' voting rights, cuts back further on states' ability to control their own voter rolls, revives the previously gutted coverage formula of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, mandates the disclosure of donors to politically active 501(c)(4) organizations, mandates that presidential inaugural committees disclose expenditures in addition to donors, and mandates that presidents and vice presidents must release their tax returns.

Throughout the morning hours several smaller groups also arrived at multiple locations along the border in the El Paso metropolitan area. In just a few hours the total number taken into custody exceeded 500. An unaccompanied 2-year-old child was also found among one of the groups. The U. S. Pelosi passes watered-down condemnation after Omar’s anti-Semitic tweets

It began as an effort to denounce anti-Semitism, after freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar used classic anti-Jewish tropes in her arguments against Israel — saying it was “all about the Benjamins” and that Jewish-American legislators had “dual loyalty.”

But following a backlash from young Democrats, Speaker Nancy Pelosi backed down Thursday, instead introducing a kitchen sink resolution that included denunciations of “all hate” that named nearly a dozen different groups.

It passed easily, 407-23 — and Omar’s name never came up in the seven-page document.

After days of Democratic hand-wringing, House votes to condemn hate speech

The House on Thursday passed a resolution condemning most imaginable forms of hate speech and bigotry following an intense struggle among Democrats over how to condemn a string of anti-Semitic remarks from a lawmaker.
The watered-down resolution started as a way to respond to Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., who was accused of writing anti-Semitic tweets and publicly feuding with a Jewish Democrat, Rep. Nita Lowey of New York, on Twitter.
Omar was not named in the final version of the seven-page resolution, but Republican and Democratic lawmakers nonetheless called out her pattern of anti-Semitic tweets that have created a bipartisan furor on Capitol Hill and tortured Democrats as they struggled to find a way to respond.

'People of Color' Is a Marxist Phrase. Let's Stop Using It.

Like most ideologies, social justice has a lexicon of its own, complete with both formal terms emanating from the academic world and terms emerging colloquially from everyday use by its adherents. The phrase "people" or "person of color" is one of these terms. "People of color" is the social justice term used to describe non-white people.

On the surface, the phrase is a pleasant-sounding and politically correct way to describe non-white people. However, when digging deeper, it is clear that the phrase is Marxist in origin and meaning.

Marx wanted to abolish many social institutions — the family unit, private property, and the past — in order to create a completely classless, equitable society. Individuality was among the other features of the human condition Marx sought to eliminate. He believed that "the abolition of this state of things is called by the bourgeois, abolition of individuality and freedom!" So long as there is individuality, there is inequality. Individuality means there is difference and variation among people, and anything that enables human beings to differentiate themselves from others is a form of inequality that necessitates elimination.

LEAKED AUDIO: Google Discusses ‘Steering’ the Conservative Movement

Google’s senior director of U.S. public policy, Adam Kovacevich appeared to describe the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) as a “sideshow Circus,” in a leaked audio recording in which he also argued that Google should remain a sponsor of the conference to “steer” the conservative movement “away from nationalistic and incendiary comments.”

The comments came to light in leaked audio files allegedly of a company-wide meeting at Google, part of which is now exclusively reported by Breitbart News. Another part of the transcript was released last Friday on Tucker Carlson Tonight, while further snippets revealing Google’s funding of establishment conservative think-tanks were published by the left-leaning tech magazine Wired in December.

The alleged meeting took place in the wake of Google’s sponsorship of CPAC in 2018, which triggered an internal rebellion from left-wing employees of the tech giant. Breitbart News exclusively reported on the revolt at the time, in which radical left-wingers inside Google accused CPAC of “ethno-nationalism” and “hate.”

Rank-and-file Dems revolt against Pelosi over resolution to condemn anti-Semitism

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is "taken aback" by the growing dissent and anger among rank-and-file Democrats over a possible resolution to formally condemn anti-Semitism, a Democratic source told Fox News on Wednesday -- highlighting Pelosi's tenuous grip on control over the House and underscoring the growing power of the party's nascent far-left progressive wing.

Pelosi even reportedly walked out of a meeting Wednesday with Democrat House members, setting down her microphone and telling attendees, “Well if you're not going to listen to me, I’m done talking."

The stalled resolution originated after freshman Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, for at least the second time in recent months, ignited an uproar for echoing tropes critics have deemed anti-Semitic. In February, she suggested on Twitter that supporters of Israel have been bought. The congresswoman then accused American supporters of Israel of pushing people to have “allegiance to a foreign country.”

Omar -- who also tweeted in 2012 that "Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel" -- refused to address questions on Wednesday about accusations that she’s anti-Semitic.

Linda Sarsour: Pelosi Doing ‘Dirty Work of Powerful White Men’ with Antisemitism Condemnation

Linda Sarsour, co-leader of the embattled Women’s March, attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) as House Democrats draft a resolution condemning antisemitism following blowback from Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) latest anti-semitic remarks.

Omar became the center of controversy after suggesting last week that lawmakers are pressured by pro-Israel groups to take a pledge of “allegiance to a foreign country.”

“I want to ask, ‘Why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the [National Rifle Association], or fossil fuel industries or Big Pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobbying group that is influencing policy?’” the Minnesota Democrat asked during a forum at a bookstore with fellow freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI).

College Dean Resigns Over School's Opposition To Chick-Fil-A "Corporate Values"

In fall 2018, Campus Reform reported exclusively that Rider University in New Jersey had made the decision to ban Chick-fil-A from becoming a restaurant on campus despite being voted one of the top fast food choices in student surveys. Now, Cynthia Newman, who is currently the dean of Rider's College of Business, has announced that she will be resigning over the university's opposition to the fast-food chain.

Newman explained her reasoning to the faculty and staff of the College of Business in her Feb. 14 resignation announcement, a copy of which Campus Reform obtained exclusively. In the announcement, Newman recalled the university rejecting students wanting to bring a Chick-fil-A restaurant to campus because the fast-food chain's "corporate values have not sufficiently progressed enough to align with those of Rider."
"As some of you already know, I am a committed follower of Jesus Christ," Newman says in her announcement.

"As such, I endeavor every day to do exactly what Chick-fil-A puts forward as its overarching corporate value: to glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to me and to have a positive influence on all who come into contact with me."

AOC Hit With Ethics Complaint Alleging Use of House Resources for Political Purposes

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y) has been hit with an ethics complaint alleging that the freshman Democrat improperly used House resources for political purposes in violation of ethics rules.

The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT), a Washington, D.C.-based watchdog group, filed the complaint Thursday to the U.S. House of Representative's Office of Congressional Ethics requesting that the committee investigate Ocasio-Cortez's use of official resources on her social media accounts.

"In the first two weeks of February 2019, Ocasio- Cortez posted numerous videos of official House floor and committee proceedings on her political Twitter and Instagram accounts," the complaint reads. "Her posts prominently displayed both official House photographs and video footage, on which she commented and instructed viewers to watch the videos."

"Ironically, in one of the posts she discussed the ethics standards to which she should be held," it continues. "Additionally, on Ocasio-Cortez's political Instagram page, she directly links to her official House Instagram account and includes a link for political contributions, alongside the posts of official video footage and her comments on official action. There are numerous ethics rules violated in this case, all of which require separation between official action and resources and political action and fundraising."

House ethics rules prohibit Members from using official taxpayer-backed resources for any political or campaign-related activities.

‘Child Recycling’ Rings Smuggle Migrants into U.S., Says DHS

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen told a U.S. House committee on Wednesday that human smugglers are “recycling” minors to enable adult migrants’ entry into the U.S.

“Smugglers and traffickers have caught on that the outdated laws, lack of resources, and bad court decisions effectively give them a free ticket into America,” Secretary Neilsen told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday. “We have encountered recycling rings, where innocent young people are used multiple times to help aliens gain illegal entry. As a nation, we simply cannot stand for this.”

She testified that her agency witnessed a 620 percent increase in families, or those posing as families, who are apprehended at the U.S. border with Mexico.

United States Border Patrol Chief of Operations Brian Hastings told reporters during a Tuesday press conference that agents are finding large numbers of fraudulent familial claims.

On Tuesday, an Alabama county court recognized the aborted fetus, "Baby Roe," as a plaintiff in the lawsuit, making the case one of the first of its kind.

Pelosi Gives Omar A Pass As "Anti-Semitism" Resolution Morphs Into Indictment Of Trump Supporters

Update2: Following days of infighting over the rebuke of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for criticizing pro-Israel politicians, the House overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan resolution on Thursday to condemn all forms of bigotry.

The final vote tally was 407-23-1.

The bill - crafted shortly after Omar's second such remark in recent weeks, was originally aimed at anti-Semitism. It began to face pushback after several prominent progressives threw their support behind the freshman Rep. from Somalia.

On Wednesday, three Democratic presidential candidates stood behind Omar; Bernie Sanders (I-VT), Kamala Harris (D-CA) and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA).

"Anti-Semitism is a hateful and dangerous ideology which must be vigorously opposed in the United States and around the world, said Sanders - adding "We must not, however, equate anti-Semitism with legitimate criticism of the right-wing, Netanyahu government in Israel."

Assyrian Warns Americans to Visit Ilhan Omar’s District: 'You Won’t Think It’s America'

Middle Eastern Women’s Coalition (MEWC) director Nahren Anweya on Wednesday warned Americans who visit Minnesota’s 5th district, Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, the 2016 “terrorist recruitment capital of the country.”

“You won’t even think you’re in America,” she said of the district that elected Ilhan Omar.

MEWC Director of Speical Projects Anweya was speaking at an MEWC press conference calling for Rep. Omar to resign. She said she has cousins and family members “called whores for showing” part of the back of the arm in Iraq, “a country where one day they were wearing mini skirts.”

“It is truly because of people like [Rep.] Ilhan [Omar], when the government is infiltrated and it starts this way because it happened in Iraq and it happened against us,” she went on. “Iraq used to be a country where Jews lived freely, where Assyrian Christians lived freely, where even Armenians were there, and even moderate Muslims lived until sharia law took place and everyone was affected.”

“Americans truly need to understand that this will affect you one day if you don’t make a change right now,” she said of sharia, adding she knows the early signs of genocide.

WTF?

"In 2007 a measure to give electoral votes to the winner of the popular vote was approved in Maryland back in 2007, making it the first state to make such a plan.
But now, after the disputed election of Donald Trump many leftists throughout the country are turning to Maryland to lead the charge against the Electoral College.
Measures to sidestep the Electoral College are being considered throughout the country, and many believe Maryland is just the beginning of a nationwide movement to uproot and forever change the U.S. election process.
Gov. Martin O’Malley, a Democrat, signed the measure into law, one day after the state’s General Assembly adjourned.
The measure would award Maryland’s 10 electoral votes to the
national popular vote winner. The plan would only take effect if states representing a majority of the nation’s 538 electoral votes decided to make the same change."

Coulter: ‘Idiot Republicans’ Surrender When Democrats ‘Mouth the Word Racism’

Ann Coulter lamented Republican weakness in the face of accusations of “racism” from Democrats and the broader left in a Wednesday-aired interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.

The status quo of demographic change is an existential threat to American cultural continuity, warned Coulter.

“I judge all politicians on their stand on the most important issue of our era [and] generation, and it decides whether America lives or dies,” said Coulter. “That is immigration.”

Coulter added, “It is an emergency that you have Americans dying in greater numbers than died in the entire course of the Vietnam War every year from drugs, most of those drugs, as we know from Sam Quinones’s great book Dreamland, and being brought in from Mexico. … Tens of thousands of Americans are going to be killed by illegal aliens — and I might add legal aliens — in drunk driving accidents, in heinous rape-murders, like the Kate Steinles.

“Illegal aliens are consuming vast public resources so that hospitals and schools and local tax areas are just having to shut down normal government services. … This is actually harming Americans in a way that — I promise you — nothing in the Congo, Zimbabwe, or with Jared’s Middle East peace process is going to affect any American. This is an actual national emergency.”

“When you remember how unpopular [Democrats’] ideas are, do not fall for the nonsense about how they will implement those ideas through a national emergency,” Coulter remarked. “No, they won’t. They’ll have an administrative agency do it. They’ll go to a court to do it. No president is going to declare a national emergency for the Green New Deal. It won’t happen.”

Maryland Data Analyst Proves “Common Sense” Gun Control Is Killing State Residents

Maryland – -(AmmoLand.com)- My name is Brian Bissett. I reside in Howard County, Maryland, and I am the author of two peer-reviewed books on Data Analysis. I am writing today OPPOSING the following bills which are currently being considered by the 2019 Maryland State Legislature.

HB92, HB95, HB96, HB523, HB612, HB1343, SB8, SB113, SB346, SB737, AND SB1000.

All of these proposed laws will enjoin honest citizens from freely exercising their right to utilize firearms for lawful purposes in various ways by actions such as requiring an expensive license to purchase a long gun, prohibiting possession of certain common firearms, and eliminating any civilian oversight of State Police decisions pertaining to handgun permits.
My opposition to additional gun control legislation is not an emotional reaction but is rather based on a careful analysis of Baltimore City crime compared to its sister cities in terms of population, wealth and proximity.

I have also analyzed firearms crime in Baltimore City both before and after the implementation of the Firearms Safety Act of 2013.

Whole Foods cuts workers' hours after Amazon introduces minimum wage

In response to public pressure and increasing scrutiny over the pay of its warehouse workers, Amazon enacted a $15 minimum wage for all its employees on 1 November, including workers at grocery chain Whole Foods, which it purchased in 2017.

All Whole Foods employees paid less than $15 an hour saw their wages increase to at least that, while all other team members received a $1 an hour wage increase and team leaders received a $2 an hour increase.

But since the wage increase, Whole Food employees have told the Guardian that they have experienced widespread cuts that have reduced schedule shifts across many stores, often negating wage gains for employees.

“My hours went from 30 to 20 a week,” said one Whole Foods employee in Illinois.

After a slow start and surprised taxpayers, refunds are up

(WASHINGTON) — The average 2018 refund is up, according to the latest IRS accounting, after a sharp decrease at the start of tax season surprised taxpayers expecting to see more benefits from the Trump tax cut.

Four weeks into the tax filing season, the most recent IRS numbers, from Feb. 22, showed average tax refunds had increased by 1.3 percent over last year’s, $3,143. A few weeks before, the statistics showed an 8 percent decrease in the average tax refunds compared to 2017.

The 35-day government shutdown earlier this year and sweeping changes to tax laws at first made it difficult for the IRS to explain the fluctuation.

Socialism Is a Rigid Ideology That ALWAYS Ends in Tyranny

Q: What did socialists use before candles?

A: Electricity.

It’s an old joke, sure. But it’s no laughing matter. Just ask the people of Venezuela.

The socialist regime there nationalized the electricity sector a dozen years ago. Today, blackouts in the once-prosperous Latin American nation have become routine.

Electricity isn’t all that’s in short supply. Gasoline is scarce in the oil-rich nation, as are food and medicine.

Meanwhile, the regime concentrates on violently repressing protests and burning humanitarian aid as it approaches its borders.

After 20 years of socialism, Venezuela is a failed state.

And that should surprise no one. Socialism is a rigid ideology that always ends in tyranny.

The prime example is the Soviet Union.

Whole Foods Adopts $15 Minimum Wage, Then Starts Slashing Workers' Hours 'Significantly'

The dream of the $15 minimum wage was finally realized among Amazon employees after the company caved to mounting pressure and implemented it company-wide on Nov. 1. But according to a new report, the improved wages aren't working out as many employees had hoped at Amazon's Whole Foods grocery store chain.

The Guardian reported Wednesday that employees at Whole Foods, which Amazon purchased back in 2017, have experienced a dramatic drop in schedule shifts since the raised wages were introduced.

Along with the new $15 minimum wage for the entry-level positions, some higher-level Whole Foods employees have also enjoyed a $1 to $2 increase in hourly wages, the outlet notes. It all sounds good — until employees' schedules are taken into account. Since the wage increase in November, Whole Foods employees say they've experienced "widespread cuts that have reduced schedule shifts across many stores, often negating wage gains for employees," The Guardian reports.

The employees, speaking on condition of anonymity "for fear of retaliation," revealed to the outlet that they've seen an average of about a 30% reduction in hours per week for part-timers and about a 10% reduction for full-timers.

New Jersey city agrees to pay $27M to lease property it sold for $1

The city of Newark, N.J. has agreed to pay $27 million over 30 years to rent property that it previously sold in 2017 for just $1, leading some to question why the city didn't just hold on to the land in the first place.

“We’re paying them for something that we gave them. This is basic math, it doesn’t add up,” Newark resident Debra Salters told NJ.comWednesday during a City Council meeting, where the deal was narrowly approved in a 5-4 vote.

The autonomous Newark Parking Authority plans to erect offices, retail space and a five-story parking deck with 515 spaces at 43-67 Green Street under a $34 million redevelopment agreement with the city, the news site reported.

“This is not the Parking Authority pushing this on the city. A redevelopment agreement was passed by this council,” Anthony Mack, executive director of the parking authority, told the council. “We’re actually subsidizing the city as we’re constructing this.”

Poll finds support for $15 minimum declines if voters told of higher prices, lost jobs

The same poll last week that found 60% of Maryland voters support making the minimum wage $15 — with 43% strongly supporting the idea — also found that support for the move passed by the House of Delegates Friday dropped sharply when voters were told it would raise prices and cost jobs.

The Restaurant Association of Maryland added those questions to the poll by Gonzales Research & Media Services.

“The abstract concept of a legislated mandatory $15 minimum wage for all workers in Maryland has, at first blush, resonance for many voters in the state,” Gonzales wrote. “However, when presented with concrete possible outcomes of a mandated minimum wage, voter attitudes shift markedly.”

In 2017, his paychecks went to the National Park Service, the Education Department, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Transportation. The first two checks from 2018 went to the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Small Business Administration, according to The Associated Press.

Medically assisted suicide bill moves forward in Maryland General Assembly

After failing three times in recent years, a bill that would allow terminally ill Maryland residents to obtain prescription drugs to end their own lives is moving forward in the state's General Assembly.

Two House of Delegates committees jointly voted Friday to advance the “End of Life Options Act” to the full chamber, which will debate the measure next week.

Del. Shane Pendergrass, who has been sponsoring the bill for years, teared up and hugged Del. Joseline Pena-Melnyk as soon as the vote was tallied as 24 delegates in favor and 20 opposed.

“It means to me that all the people who have come down here over the years — some of whom are not here anymore — got what they wished for,” said Pendergrass, a Howard County Democrat. “Though they won’t be able to use it, other people will. This will help people.”

Democrats exclude Fox News from hosting 2020 primary debates saying claims of the network having an 'inappropriate relationship' with Trump mean it cannot be 'neutral'

The Democratic Party is excluding Fox News from hosting any of its primary debates in the 2019-2020 cycle, charging the network with having an 'inappropriate relationship' with President Donald Trump's administration.

'I believe that a key pathway to victory is to continue to expand our electorate and reach all voters,' said Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez in a statement to DailyMail.com. 'That is why I have made it a priority to talk to a broad array of potential media partners, including Fox News.'

He added: 'Recent reporting in the New Yorker on the inappropriate relationship between President Trump, his administration and Fox News has led me to conclude that the network is not in a position to host a fair and neutral debate for our candidates. Therefore, Fox News will not serve as a media partner for the 2020 Democratic primary debates.'

National Border Patrol Council President: There is a national emergency on our border -- Here's proof

As a 21-year front line veteran Border Patrol agent and president of the National Border Patrol Council, I'd like to put to bed the false notion that there is no national emergency on the United States/Mexico border. I hope facts will do the trick.

Since November of 2013, I've been called upon to give expert Congressional testimony about various aspects of border security on 18 separate occasions. I've testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the House Judiciary Committee, and the House Committee on Natural Resources.

This is important because during every hearing regarding border security at which I testified in 2014, Democrats claimed the United States was in the state of a humanitarian crisis at the border. While Republicans agreed with the notion of a crisis, they argued it was one of immigration loophole exploitation.

Regardless of the underlying reasoning, both parties acknowledged a crisis at the border.

Oh the hypocrisy.

While a plurality of Democrats claimed a humanitarian border crisis in 2014, they’ve changed their tune in 2019. Using political rhetoric instead of facts, those same Democrats are claiming that there is no crisis today except in President Trump’s mind. But a simple apples-to-apples numbers comparison reveals their hypocrisy.
