Trump raises more money from women than all his Democratic women challengers ... put together

As Democrats cobble on about their chances of beating President Trump, and backslap with one another about how 'beatable' the man is, here's some news to give them indigestion from Lauren DeBellis Appell at Real Clear Politics:
The Center for Responsive Politics, which uses Federal Election Commission data, found that during the first three months of 2019 the number of women who donated to President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign topped the number of women who donated to any Democratic candidate running for president, accounting for more than 45 percent of all individual donations.

That means President Trump had more female donors than Kamala Harris, more than Elizabeth Warren, more than Amy Klobuchar, more than Kirsten Gillibrand, and more than Tulsi Gabbard. In fact, wrap your head around this: More women donated to President Trump than to all of the female candidates combined.
So all that packaging, all that flavor of the month among the Democratic elites' choices of women to represent all women - Kamala Harris, Liz Warren, Amy Klobuchar, the sexism-whining Kirsten Gillebrand, Tulsi Gabbard and outliers such as Marianne Williamson - all these women who were put out there to appeal to women - was for nothing.

Message: Vote for me, I'm a woman - is not playing with women voters.

After Making Bernie Sign Loyalty Pledge, DNC Hires Anti-Bernie Finance Chair

The decision by the Democratic National Committee to bring in a man who has questioned whether presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is "dangerous to the future of the Democratic Party" has some questioning whether the party will be able to maintain neutrality in 2020.

The DNC's new finance chair Chris Korge, a longtime Florida lobbyist, was a major supporter of failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in 2016, and he has already given $2,700 this cycle to Kamala Harris's presidential campaign. On Twitter, he has made clear that he hasn't gotten over the party's struggle with Sanders in 2016, even retweeting a user urging him to stay out of the 2020 race, according to a Huffington Post report.

The DNC has vowed to keep its finger off the scales during the primary cycle, and Korge insists he'll be able to despite his stated personal views.

"I have worked tirelessly to help the Democratic Party, and have been proud to support a wide array of Democratic candidates," Korge said. "I’m fully committed to the DNC’s neutrality policy and I look forward to raising the funds necessary to help whoever our Democratic nominee is."

Lawsuit Filed over Display of Bible at Veterans Hospital

CONCORD, N.H. — A Bible on display at a memorial at New Hampshire's veterans hospital should be removed because it is a violation of the First Amendment, a U.S. Air Force veteran said in a federal lawsuit Tuesday.

The Bible was carried by a prisoner of war in World War II and became part of the Missing Man Table honoring missing veterans and POWs at the entranceway of the Manchester VA Medical Center. The Department of Veterans Affairs said Tuesday the table was sponsored by a veterans group called the Northeast POW/MIA Network.

The lawsuit filed in Concord by James Chamberlain against the center's director, Alfred Montoya, says the Bible's inclusion is in violation of the Constitution. The First Amendment stipulates "that the government may not establish any religion. Nor can the government give favoritism to one religious belief at the expense of others," according to the suit.

Country music star Travis Tritt involved in multi-vehicle crash that left two dead

Country music star Travis Tritt's bus was sideswiped while avoiding a fatal wreck in Horry County early Saturday morning. Tritt was not hurt.

The collision occurred just after 3 a.m. on South Carolina Highway 22 near the 16 mile marker, according to Cpl. Sonny Collins of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

A 2014 Jeep was traveling east but going the wrong direction and hit a 2014 Dodge pickup truck head on in the westbound lane, according to Collins.

The driver of the Jeep and a passenger in the Dodge were killed and the driver of the Dodge was taken to the local hospital, Collins said. Everyone in the vehicles was wearing a seat belt, Collins said.

Tritt's tour bus and another vehicle made contact while avoiding the original crash, Collins said. He said the contact between those vehicles "was minor."

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the American Civil War

War-induced psychological trauma in American soldiers was first observed during World War One. The physicians who diagnosed soldiers with ‘shell shock,’ a form of ‘war neuroses,’ believed it to have been the first time psychiatric ailments could be attributed to military service.[1] They were wrong.

Abundant evidence suggests that Civil War soldiers, like their twentieth-century counterparts, exhibited symptoms that today we would associate with war trauma, notably post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a diagnosis that emerged out of the experiences of the Vietnam War.[2] Yet for years historians failed to consider the possibility that Northern and Southern soldiers and veterans suffered psychologically as a result of their military engagement. For one reason, the American Civil War lacked the weapons of mass destruction, including lethal gases, airplanes, and tanks, which stoked fear and anxiety among WWI soldiers and contributed to mental breakdowns of many. Civil War soldiers faced none of these so, the reasoning went, had fewer reasons to suffer psychological collapse. This explanation, of course, fails to consider that other forms of warfare could be just as terrifying to its participants. Moreover, this claim also neglects other factors unique to the Civil War that could prove just as traumatic for nineteenth-century soldiers as those in twentieth-century wars, notably, companies were formed locally. Company mates were likely to be relatives or men the soldiers had known for years. Thus, witnessing a soldier – maybe a neighbor or brother – horrifically killed had a more personal impact.

Kirsten Gillibrand says anti-abortion laws are "against Christian faith"

Flanked by abortion rights advocated at the Georgia state house Thursday, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said that laws banning or restricting abortion are "against Christian faith."

"If you are a person of the Christian faith, one of the tenants of our faith is free will. One of the tenants of our democracy is that we have a separation of church and state, and under no circumstances are we supposed to be imposing our faith on other people. And I think this is an example of that effort," she said at a press conference.

Gillibrand addressed the press following a roundtable with Georgia state legislators, physicians, and activists. Gillibrand came to Georgia after neighboring Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed into law a bill banning abortion, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Earlier this month, Georgia joined Ohio, Mississippi, Kentucky, Iowa, and North Dakota in banning abortions after six weeks, adopting what are also known as "heartbeat bills."

'Transgender' Agenda Claims Another Life

“When the man arrived at the hospital with severe abdominal pains, a nurse didn’t consider it an emergency, noting that he was obese and had stopped taking blood pressure medicines,” reports the Associated Press. “In reality, he was pregnant — a transgender man in labor that was about to end in a stillbirth.”

If nothing else, this tragic case that cost the life of a child illustrates basic science. The biology established by our Creator made this human being a woman. However, she said she was a man, and the hospital staff accepted her claim at face value rather suffer the wrath (and the potential legal consequences) of the Rainbow Mafia.

According to Dr. Daphna Stroumsa of the University of Michigan, writing about the incident in the New England Journal of Medicine, “He was rightly classified as a man” in medical records and has a masculine appearance. “But that classification threw us off from considering his actual medical needs.”

Koalas are now ‘functionally extinct,’ experts say

They are in danger of going the way of the dodo.

Koala bears have been declared “functionally extinct,” the Australian Koala Foundation reports. The fluffy marsupial is down to just 80,000 wild species members, meaning there aren’t enough breeding adults left to support another generation of the pouched mammals.

The tree-dwelling species has been ravaged by the effects of rising temperatures and heatwaves, which have caused widespread deforestation and fatal dehydration in koalas, according to the AKF. Only 41 of the koala’s 128 known habitats in federal environments have any of the animals left. If a new disease or genetic pathogen of any kind is introduced, surviving koalas will die off rapidly. Activists are begging local pols to step in.

Poll: 2-in-3 Americans Oppose Releasing illegals into U.S. Interior

The majority of American voters oppose releasing border crossers applying for asylum into the interior of the United States while they await their court hearings, a new poll finds.

The latest Harvard/Harris Poll reveals that about 2-in-3 Americans, or 66 percent, said they oppose the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) releasing border crossers into the U.S. while they await their asylum claims process. Instead, voters said border crossers should be immediately turned back to Mexico while awaiting their asylum hearing.

Less than 35 percent of all voters said they supported releasing border crossers into the U.S. — including only 32 percent of swing voters and less than 30 percent of self-described “moderates.”

Meanwhile, nearly seven-in-ten swing voters, or 68 percent, said they want to see border crossers turned back to Mexico when they attempt to claim asylum at the southern border. Likewise, 85 percent of Republican voters and 55 percent of black Americans said they, too, wanted border crossers seeking asylum to be turned back to Mexico.

A plurality of U.S. voters, 47 percent, also told Harvard/Harris pollsters that they want the asylum system at the southern border to be tightened — a plan that has been endorsed by President Trump and previously enacted by former Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The 'More Equal Than Others' Act

House Democrats passed their so-called “Equality Act” today by a vote of 236-to-173 — eight Republicans inexplicably succumbed to the Demo siren song. Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims it will bring America “closer to equal liberty and justice for all,” but the truth is just the opposite. As Mark Alexander wrote last week, “This Orwellian legislation dictates that our individual and corporate views must comport with those of the Left, under penalty of law.” In fact, he adds, “This is not about equality, and all is most certainly not equal.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy also decried the bill, saying, “The Democrats’ latest piece of legislation is another mirage, packaged with a deceiving title, that ultimately chips away at our religious freedoms, would jeopardize Title IX sports programs, and puts our children at risk by eliminating parental consent in life-altering medical procedures.”

What does the Equality Act do? It updates the 1964 Civil Rights Act to include “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” to the list of protected characteristics. But McCarthy is exactly right about its effects.

CNN’s Jim Acosta Misrepresents Trump Speech on Asylum Seekers

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta misrepresented remarks President Donald Trump made during a Rose Garden speech selling a White House immigration plan.

Acosta tweeted during the Thursday speech that Trump had "[painted] asylum seekers with a broad brush," saying of them "these are frivolous claims."

But Trump did almost the opposite, stressing the importance of legitimate asylum seekers and distinguishing them from illegitimate asylum seekers. "These are frivolous claims" was said about the specific class of illegitimate asylum seekers.

"We must also restore the integrity of our broken asylum system," Trump said. "Our nation has a proud history of affording protection to those fleeing government persecutions."

ICE arrests 12 illegal aliens in Maryland during surge enforcement effort

BALTIMORE – On Thursday, officers with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Baltimore Field Office concluded a four-day surge enforcement action from May 13-16 netting 12 arrests.
The individuals were arrested for violating U.S. immigration laws in accordance with the Immigration and Nationality Act. Those targeted for arrest had been issued final orders of removal within the past five years and had criminal histories or pending criminal charges.
“Today’s announcement reflects the agency’s commitment to enforcing our immigration laws in an orderly and logical manner as we experience increasing strain on our limited resources,” said Baltimore Field Office Director (FOD) Diane Witte. “The illegal aliens targeted for arrest today came to the attention of our fugitive operations teams by way of the criminal justice system, and by nature of their outstanding orders of removal.”
The arrestees (11 men, one woman) included nationals from the following six countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, Mexico and Zimbabwe.
ICE conducts targeted immigration enforcement in compliance with federal law and agency policy.
During targeted enforcement operations, ICE officers frequently encounter additional individuals who may be in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws. Those persons will be evaluated on a case by case basis for enforcement action.
“Operating in an environment with increasingly limited cooperation from local jurisdictions creates an equally increasing need to arrest fugitives within the communities in which they live and work. When  illegal criminal aliens are released from jails into the community despite the presence of an ICE detainer, we see the compromise of public safety and officer safety, as well as the potential for encountering additional individuals previously unknown to ICE who are illegally present in the United States,” said FOD Witte.
ICE no longer exempts classes or categories of removable aliens from potential enforcement. All of those in violation of the immigration laws may be subject to immigration arrest, detention, and if found removable by final order, removal from the United States.
Officers continue to execute the enforcement mission with the same level of professionalism and respect that ICE officers and agents are committed to exhibiting every day.

ICE to hire contractor to transport 225,000 migrants to shelters across the US

The Trump administration is looking to hire a private contractor that will be responsible for transporting approximately 225,000 migrant children and families to shelters across the country over the next five years as they wait for their asylum claims to be processed.

ICE (the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency) is seeking the services of a “highly responsible” contractor that “fully embraces the philosophy” of treating all unaccompanied minors (UACs) and family units (FAMUs) with “dignity and respect,” according to a federal procurement document dated May 13.

The private company will be hired to transport approximately 60,000 people a year. It will work to arrange commercial flights and ground transportation for migrant children up to age 17 as well as adults with children and will provide food, clothing and hygiene products during transit.

‘Extreme violence was used’: Teen girl found dead in Md. linked to gang killing

The body of a missing 14-year-old girl from Anne Arundel County, Maryland, was found Wednesday, and three people, including two alleged MS-13 members, have been arrested in her death. One suspect is still at large.

Acting on a tip, Prince George’s County police, D.C. police and federal authorities found the body of 14-year-old Ariana Funes-Diaz in a creek near 64th Avenue, just west of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway, in Riverdale at about 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Three people — Josue Fuentes-Ponce, 16, of Bladensburg, Maryland; Joel Escobar, 17, of Northeast D.C., and Cynthia Hernandez-Nucamendi, 14, of Lothian, Maryland — had been arrested and charged as adults with first-degree murder, said Maj. Brian Reilly with Prince George’s County police.

The Coming Civil War Over Abortion

A civil war is coming to America, only this time, it will be abortion, rather than slavery, that divides the nation. And while I hope will all my heart that it will not be a physically violent war, the ideological conflict will certainly be violent and intense.

We witnessed some of this during the hearings for Brett Kavanaugh, when the opposition to his confirmation was fierce to the point of screaming and pounding at the Supreme Court's doors.

This brought to my mind the famous line, “Hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned,” based on which I wrote an article titled, “Prepare for the Wrath of the Pro-Abortion Militants.” The article ended by saying “that hell hath no fury like that of the militant pro-abortionists.”

Trump's Immigration Plan

I was honored to be back at the White House yesterday for the unveiling of President Trump’s immigration reform plan. As part of the president’s unofficial faith advisory group, I have had some input into the broad outlines of this proposal.    I am pleased to say that it is an America First immigration reform package. As the president said, “It’s just common sense.” It focuses on six broad goals:
  • Securing the border
  • Protecting American wages
  • Attracting highly skilled immigrants
  • Allowing legal migration for immediate family members
  • Addressing labor shortages in critical industries, and
  • Preserving humanitarian values.
The president stressed that his plan was developed with input from law enforcement and that it puts border security first. It largely ends chain migration and establishes a merit-based immigration system.

Trump Plan Mandates E-Verify

A White House plan to reform the country’s legal immigration system includes a provision that mandates the use of E-Verify to prevent employers from hiring illegal aliens over American citizens.

On Thursday, President Trump announced his plan to reform the legal immigration system such that foreign nationals would be selected based on their merit, skills, and education level and then go through a rigorous assimilation period before obtaining permanent residence.

While the plan does not reduce the level of legal immigration — where more than 1.2 million legal immigrants are admitted to the U.S. every year to compete against America’s working and middle class for jobs — as his 2015, 2016, and 2017 plans did, the effort does include a provision to mandate E-Verify, the system used by employers to verify that they are not hiring illegal aliens.

US lifts steel and aluminium tariffs on Canada

The US has reached a deal with Canada to lift tariffs on steel and aluminium imports in a move that could lead to approval for a new North American trade deal.

In a joint statement, the US and Canada announced that a 25% tariff on steel imports, and of 10% on aluminium, will end in 48 hours.

It is widely expected the US and Mexico will make a similar announcement soon.

The US implemented the tariffs last year on grounds of "national security".

Red Cross Needs Type O Blood to Ease Shortage

There's a severe nationwide shortage of Type O blood, and the American Red Cross has issued an urgent appeal for donations.

The current supply of Type O blood is critically low: Six units are available for every 100,000 people in the United States, but at least twice as much is required every day.

Type O-negative is the universal blood type (anyone can receive it), making it the one most needed in hospitals. Only 7% of people have Type O-negative blood.

2016 Police Report: Cocaine Pipe Found in Car Rented by Hunter Biden, Authorities Declined to Prosecute

Breitbart News has exclusively obtained a heretofore unreported-on police report from days before the 2016 presidential election that describes how a cocaine pipe that authorities determined was used to smoke cocaine was found in a rental car returned to an Arizona Hertz location in the middle of the night. Also found in the vehicle were several personal effects of Hunter Biden, then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, like two of his DC driver’s licenses, multiple credit cards, and personally identifying information like a Delaware Attorney General badge and a U.S. Secret Service business card that police said bore his name.

Hunter Biden, according to the police report, had rented the vehicle from a location in California with the intent to return it to the Prescott, Arizona, location, where it was discovered the morning after it was dropped off with the drug paraphernalia and Hunter Biden’s personal effects inside.

Instead of returning the car keys to the drop box where after-hours returns are supposed to go, the car was returned—according to the police report—with the keys left in the gas tank compartment of the vehicle.

Trump Warns Illegal Immigrants Released in the U.S.: ‘You Will Be Leaving Soon!’

President Donald Trump warned Friday that migrants and illegal immigrants released into the United States should not get comfortable.

“Please do not make yourselves too comfortable, you will be leaving soon!” he wrote on Twitter.

Trump commented as border officials are daily releasing thousands of immigrants apprehended at the border into the United States as part of the catch and release loopholes in U.S. immigration law.

The Department of Homeland Security revealed that about 9,000 border crossers and illegal immigrants have been released into the United States in just eight days.

But Trump argued that the immigrants released by border officials were only in the United States temporarily.

“All people that are illegally coming into the United States now will be removed from our Country at a later date as we build up our removal forces and as the laws are changed,” he wrote.

Missouri just passed "one of the strongest" anti-abortion bills in the United States

The Missouri House of Representatives just passed House Bill 126, "Missouri States for the Unborn," in a 110 to 44 vote. The sweeping anti-abortion package bans abortions after eight weeks into a pregnancy, among other restrictions, and does not have an exception for victims of rape or incest.

The bill will now go to Republican Governor Mike Parson, who's expected to sign the legislation into law.

"Thanks for the leaders in the House and Senate, we have the opportunity to be one of the strongest pro-life states in the country," Parson said Wednesday, voicing his support for the bill.

Family of Officer Killed by Illegal Alien Says Trump Was ‘Only One’ Who Reached Out

Who cares more about everyday Americans?

Who cares more about law enforcement and those who uphold the laws in this country?

It sure isn’t the current crop of anti-patriots on the Left, in our view.

It’s President Donald J. Trump.

The family of California Police Officer Ronil Singh, killed by an illegal immigrant at a routine traffic stop in December 2018, attested to that fact at the annual Peace Officers’ Memorial Service on Capitol Hill this week.

Ronil Singh’s brother, Reggie, told the crowd in attendance that the family supports the president and thanked him for everything he’s done for law enforcement.

While Obama seemed to denigrate and vilify the men and women in blue, Trump has done the opposite.

“This man over here,” Singh said, pointing to Trump. “The Singh family supports him. Whatever he’s doing for law enforcement, we support him. His team at the White House has reached out to us multiple times.”

Facebook suspends Candace Owens over post about ‘liberal supremacy’

Facebook suspended – then restored -- conservative commentator Candace Owens’s account this week after she posted about the “liberal supremacy” threat to black Americans.

In a statement to Fox News, Facebook said they reinstated her account a day later after determining the post wasn’t in violation of community standards.

“We’ve restored Ms. Owens' post and removed the block on her account after confirming that the content didn’t violate our policies,” a Facebook spokesperson said Friday.

On Thursday, Owens, who is black, posted a statement along with statistics showing the poverty rates among African-Americans, whites and African-Americans who are married. The statement read: “Black America must wake up to the great liberal hoax. White supremacy is not a threat. Liberal supremacy is.”

In an interview with Fox News, Owens said “there were no threats or hard language” in her post. She said she believes “this is an attempt to silence” her effort to “present a different story to America.”

Raccoon Tests Positive for Rabies in Wicomico County

QUANTICO/TYASKIN
(Quantico, MD) On May 16, 2019 a raccoon tested positive for rabies near the cross road of Whitehaven Road and Head of Creek Road in the Quantico/Tyaskin, Maryland area. The Wicomico County Health Department is advising all residents to be aware of their surroundings and avoid contact with all wild or stray animals.
