30 Basic Things Doctors Wish You Realized About Your Own Body

Here are some facts about your body from Ask Reddit you should probably know.
1. Ear wax is normal. You shouldn’t try to remove it. People cause all sorts of problems with Q-tips and (god forbid) ear candles. They don’t work and can cause you harm. If you genuinely need wax removed, go to a professional.
2. Women, please do not use soap or douching products inside your vagina. It has a delicate pH balance and this is how you get yeast infections. Wash your labia, but do not clean internally. The vagina is self-cleaning just like your eyeballs. Do you wash your eyeballs? No. Do you wash your face? Yes.
3. Over the Counter Detoxes are bullsh!t. You have multiple organs that can detox perfectly fine if you take care of them.

Snopes Admits Obama Built Cages for Immigrant Children

The left-wing bias of popular “fact-checking” sites like Snopes or Politfact has been well documented for years. So when Snopes took on the task of fact-checking the claim “The Obama administration, not the Trump administration, built the cages that hold many immigrant children at the U.S.-Mexico border,” I expected them to, at the very least, rate it as “Half-True” or “False” and come up with some longwinded explanation with some absurd standard for why the Obama administration was in the clear. Last year, FactCheck.org couldn't bring itself to admit that family separations happened under Obama, even though their research proved it did. But alas, Snopes couldn’t find a way to clear the Obama administration on this one, and had no choice but to rate the claim as true.

But then Trump stated, “Obama built the cages. I didn’t build them. Obama built them.”

That portion of Trump’s commentary is true. Images of children behind chain-link fencing were widely seen at a site in McAllen, Texas, that had been converted from a warehouse to an immigrant-detention facility in 2014. Social media users who defended Trump’s immigration policies also shared a 2014 image of Obama’s Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson touring a facility in Nogales, Arizona, in 2014, in which the fencing could be seen surrounding migrants there, too. That image was taken during a spike in the number of unaccompanied children fleeing violence in Central American countries.

The Census Should Ask About Citizenship to Keep House Representation of Citizens Fair

Every ten years, the U.S. government undertakes a census or count of everyone living in the United States. The Constitution mandates this in Article 1, Section 2, and established the first census would take place in 1790 and every ten years thereafter. The census language is straightforward and explicitly ties the census to representation in the republic government. The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, modified the census language and the definition of citizenship to include everyone born within the United States regardless of origin, making freed slaves citizens for the first time. The 14th also made children born within the national borders citizens, whether their parents were citizens or present in the country legally or not. The latter is likely an unintended consequence, as post-Civil War America was preoccupied with Reconstruction and, for the Republicans, bringing the slaves the party was founded to free toward the rights of citizenship.

Both the original language in Article 1, Section 2 and the 14th Amendment tie the census directly to representation in the U.S. House of Representatives. This is important to understanding the purpose of asking about citizenship on the census.

Inquiring about citizenship on the census goes back to at least 1800 and Thomas Jefferson. The founder, author of the Declaration of Independence and president-to-be wanted the census to ask about the “respective numbers of native citizens, citizens of foreign birth, and of aliens...for the purpose of more exactly distinguishing the increase of population by birth and immigration.” In 1820 the census began asking the questions President Jefferson wanted answered.

Ex-Virginia governor DID kiss a university student 66 years his junior without her consent, investigation finds

Former Virginia Gov L Douglas Wilder kissed a university student 66 years his junior without her consent, an investigation has found.

Virginia Commonwealth University student Sydney Black filed a complaint with authorities and school officials last December after Wilder, 88, took her out to dinner to celebrate her 20th birthday, gave her alcohol and kissed her.

The now-22-year-old also claimed that Black had made several other inappropriate advances, including inviting her to live at his house and accompany him on international travel and offering to pay for her law school.

The university, where Wilder is a distinguished professor, hired an outside attorney to investigate the allegations.

Kevin McCarthy, 140 GOP Reps Vote for Democrat Plan to Outsource Jobs

GOP legislators (140) voted for a bill drafted by business groups and Democrats which provides a green card giveaway to 300,000 Indian contract workers and dramatically increases the incentives for more Indian graduates to take college graduate jobs in the United States.

The 365- to-65 vote means the bill moves to the Senate, where GOP Senators are pushing a matching giveaway bill which is backed by Democrat Senator and presidential hopeful, Sen. Kamala Harris. Only 57 of 197 GOP legislators — and only eight Democrats — present voted against the giveaway.

The GOP’s House leader, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, voted for the giveaway to Indian outsourcing workers.

The bill also helps U.S. real-estate investors by extending the green-card giveaway to the Chinese leaders who use the EB-5 program to buy green cards for their families.

Senators were divided along a party line vote, 53-45, which came after strong objections from California’s Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris. Neither one returned a blue slip on the nomination.

“Bress is not a part of California’s legal community,” Feinstein and Harris said in a statement.

Fact Check: Actually, the Trump Economy is Benefitting the Very People Democrats Claim It Isn't

One of the trickier bits of political positioning facing Democrats this cycle is how to talk about the American economy. By nearly every metric, it's performing quite well. Unemployment is low, growth is pretty strong, wages are rising, the stock market is up -- and we're in the midst of the longest overall US economic expansion in recorded history. Roughly 70 percent of voters are optimistic about both their personal financial situation and the national picture, and a relatively unpopular president consistently earns his highest marks on this issue, which happens to be at the top of the pile in terms of importance. 2020 Democrats, unable to laud the successful GOP tax reform law or President Trump's reduction of burdensome regulations, are instead attempting to downplay the extent to which the economy is thriving. The Wall Street Journal's editorial tackled a number of these claims. The editors begin by laying out Democrats' complaints:

Democrats running for President see America as a Dickensian nightmare of inequality. It’s the best of times for millionaires and billionaires, and the worst of times for everybody else. Time to wake up from the Barack Obama economy, folks, and admit how many more Americans are prospering from the faster economic growth and tighter labor market after the policy changes of 2017...“Who is this economy really working for? It’s doing great for a thinner and thinner slice at the top,” Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren declared at the debate. “When you’ve got a government, when you’ve got an economy that does great for those with money and isn’t doing great for everyone else, that is corruption, pure and simple.” Sen. Cory Booker, who hails from high-tax New Jersey, moaned that “I live in a low-income black and brown community. I see every single day that this economy is not working for average Americans.” California Sen. Kamala Harris added: “You ask [the President], how are you measuring the greatness of this economy of yours? And they point to the jobless numbers.”

Administration Hasn’t Briefed Congress on New Rules for Cyber Attacks

The Trump administration hasn’t allowed members of Congress to read a classified directive President Trump issued almost a year ago outlining new rules for the military’s use of cyber weapons, despite repeated requests, according to lawmakers and others familiar with the matter.

The issue has prompted concern on Capitol Hill that the Pentagon is increasingly deploying offensive cyber operations against adversaries—including against Iran last month during a peak in tensions with Tehran—without keeping congressional overseers adequately informed.

A senior administration official said that “the administration keeps Congress appropriately informed of cyber operations, including by providing briefings and documents.” A spokesman for the U.S. Cyber Command declined to comment.

In a bipartisan letter addressed to Mr. Trump in February, the leaders of the House Armed Services Committee said Congress hadn’t been able to see the directive, known as National Security Presidential Memorandum 13, “and other related documents on cyber operations” despite the panel’s requests. Lacking that visibility had impeded the committee’s ability to consider the policy implications of military cyber operations, the letter said.

“The committee firmly believes it should be furnished with your recently signed classified memorandum and directives on cyber operations that outline how statutory authorities are being interpreted and employed,” lawmakers wrote in the letter, a copy of which was seen by The Wall Street Journal.

Secret Iranian Nuclear Weapons Facility Still Up and Running

Iran never ended critical nuclear weapons work at a controversial underground military bunker that remains operational to this day and able to "enrich uranium to weapons grade" levels. That is according to a new watchdog report that has reignited calls for the Trump administration to close loopholes that have permitted the Islamic Republic to continue its most contested nuclear research.

The new report, issued by the Institute for Science and International Security, confirms suspicions long held by the international community that Iran never dismantled its Fordow research site, as it was required to do under the landmark 2015 nuclear deal. The findings have further fueled concerns about Iran's march towards nuclear weapons, particularly in light of the country's recent threats to enrich uranium, the key component in a bomb, to levels approaching 20 percent purity.

The latest evidence of Iran's continued weapons research has reignited a battle between congressional Iran hawks and the Trump administration, which continues to provide Tehran with a series of sanctions waivers permitting it to continue work at Fordow. Hardliners in Congress have called for an immediate end to these waivers in light of Iran's efforts to blow past restrictions on the amount of highly enriched uranium it stockpiles inside the country.

Hamas Defection

The Hamas terrorist organization was stung by the recent high-profile defection of one of its top operatives, Suheib Yousef. Yousef is the son of Hamas co-founder, Sheikh Hassan Yousef. He is also the brother of Mosab Hassan Yousef, who defected from Hamas in the late 1990s. Mosab provided Israel’s Shin Bet counter-terrorist security service with information on Hamas and ultimately converted to Christianity. He also authored the book, “Son of Hamas,” exposing the group’s corruption, duplicity and brutality.

In an interview with Israel’s Channel 12, Suheib, who was stationed in Turkey before his defection, charged that the Hamas leadership is rife with corruption. According to Suheib, “Hamas leaders (in Turkey) live in fancy hotels and luxury towers, their kids learn at private schools and are very well paid by Hamas, they get between four and five thousand dollars a month, they have guards, swimming pools, country clubs.” He also alleged that they routinely dine in the finest Turkish restaurants, charging hundreds of dollars per meal while the average Gazan makes about $350 per month.

This aspect of Suheib’s revelation was unsurprising. Anyone remotely familiar with the inner workings of Hamas knows that this group of thoroughly corrupted, extortionist gangsters lives the high life at the expense of their kinsmen, and that its venality is matched only by its barbarity. But Suheib also shed disturbing light on Turkey’s role in facilitating Hamas terror operations and advancing Iranian intelligence interests.

Hemingway: Who Will Clean Up America’s Voter Rolls?

Mark Hemingway writes at RealClearInvestigations that thirty-eight states have counties wherein voter registration rates exceed 100%, in violation of federal law. But the Justice Department has largely abdicated its responsibility to deal with the problem:

Los Angeles County has too many voters. An estimated 1.6 million, according to the latest calculations – which is roughly the population of Philadelphia. That’s the difference between the number of people on the county’s voter rolls and the actual number of voting age residents.

This means that L.A. is in violation of federal law, which seeks to limit fraud by requiring basic voter list maintenance to make sure that people who have died, moved, or are otherwise ineligible to vote aren’t still on the rolls.

Big Pharma Fail: No Evidence Of Added Benefit In Most New Drugs, Study Finds

There seems to be a new drug to treat anything and everything these days, but are these medications as effective as they claim to be? A new study has concluded that the answer to that question is no. Furthermore, researchers say that international drug development processes, standards, and policies are fundamentally broken and must be reformed.

According to the study performed at the German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care, more than half of the new drugs entering the German healthcare system show absolutely no added benefit.

Between 2011 and 2017, researchers examined 216 drugs that passed regulatory approval and entered the German market. Most of these assessed drugs were also approved by the European Medicines Agency for widespread use throughout greater Europe.

Michael Flynn's attorneys say they've uncovered 'crucial and troubling issues' in case

Attorneys for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn said Thursday they’ve uncovered serious problems with his case, escalating their growing tension with federal prosecutors.

“While new counsel for Mr. Flynn has barely scratched the surface, counsel has identified crucial and troubling issues that should concern any court,” his attorneys wrote in a 13-page court filing.

The attorneys made the claim to the federal judge overseeing Flynn’s sentencing for lying to investigators about his communications with a former Russian ambassador.

Flynn’s attorneys did not hint at what the problems could be, saying his cooperation with federal prosecutors has hindered their investigation.

“We are not yet near a position to brief the court on the significant issues we are uncovering because we have spent virtually all of our time and effort cooperating,” they wrote in the filing.

Earlier this week, prosecutors dropped Flynn as a key witness in his former business partner’s criminal trial next week.

A Viewer Writes......U.S. Citizenship Question on the Census

Joe-

I don't have social media or the audience that you have. I want to offer a solution to help President Trump with the Census Citizenship question. While the liberal judges continue to place roadblocks on allowing the citizenship question to be printed, I fully intend to write on my census questionnaire that, "I am a proud citizen of the United States of America". Maybe there is a way that we can have all other proud U.S. citizens do the same, voluntarily. Of course if these are scanned it won't pick up the stat since there won't be a check box, but maybe there will be a way to separate and count the documents like a money counter counts bills. Either way, everyone should voluntarily write this on their census questionnaire. Let's cause some liberals to hemorrhage!

Thanks Joe!

An epidemic of false identities, massaged resumes, and warped ancestries has broken out among the current Democratic presidential primary candidates.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) for years claimed Native American ancestry. An embattled Warren ironically took a DNA test that only proved her critics' contention that she was no more of Native American heritage than the vast majority of Americans.

Another Democratic candidate, Robert Francis O'Rourke, is a rich white male who grew up in affluence. O'Rourke some time ago adopted the name "Beto," an abbreviation for the Spanish "Roberto." The Spanish-speaking, Irish-American O'Rourke, with a wink and nod, has assumed a useful near-Latino identity.

That ruse became a caricature in O'Rourke's 2018 race for the Texas Senate. The second-generation Cuban-American incumbent, Sen. Rafael Edward "Ted" Cruz, was portrayed by the media as the non-Spanish-speaking "white guy" pitted against the more authentic Irish-American Latino "Beto."

POWER & MONEY

Subject: POWER & MONEY

The majority of Americans don't realize just how much POWER & MONEY the Democrats make off illegal aliens being in our country, even without voter fraud.

This is why they created 'Sanctuary' cities and states. Simply by including their numbers as part of the population in the US Census, they get MOUNTAINS of money from the federal government and for every 770,000 illegal aliens in their Democrat-controlled area they get a seat in the US House of Representatives apportioned to their area following the census.

YES! READ IT AGAIN!

After the US Census (performed once every 10 years), the 435 seats in the US House of Representatives are divided up by state population and the last one resulted in one seat for roughly every 770,000 people.

So, let's say California has about four million non-citizens living there right now.

That means that FIVE of their seats in the US Congress are due to people who are not Americans being counted in the Census!

Now, imagine if by 2020, when they do the next census, they had ten million non-citizens living in California.

That would mean California would get an additional ten seats in the US House of Representatives due to non-citizens.

Do you see why Democrats want open borders?

Next time you hear the bleeding-heart liberals and Democrat Party Leadership claiming how they 'care' about these poor illegal aliens here, call it bullshit...!

The Democrats found a way to get money and seats in Congress without having to rig elections!

Couple throws "MAGA" wedding, paying tribute to President Trump

A couple from Kalamazoo, Michigan, made quite a political statement with the theme of their recent nuptials. Their wedding hashtag? #MAGAPatriotWedding.

It was decorated with sparkly red lettering down the front, spelling out President Trump's famous campaign slogan: Make America Great Again. The skirt of the fishtail dress simply said "TRUMP."

While Johnson wore the red and white, her bridesmaids wore the blue. The bride told CBS News the Fourth of July wedding was originally just going to be patriotic-themed, until she reached out to dress designer Andre Soriano.

Wild video shows Coast Guard crew jump on top of suspected drug smuggling vessel in Pacific Ocean

Wild, stunning video from the U.S. Coast Guard shows crew members board a vessel they suspected of smuggling drugs. In the dramatic, camera-captured scene, crew members of the Coast Guard Cutter Munro intercept what they called "a self-propelled semi-submersible."

The Coast Guard tweeted the video on Thursday from the drug bust that happened last month in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The footage shows the Guard approach the submarine-looking vessel in international waters.

A Coast Guard statement says the Munro's crew unloaded more than 39,000 pounds of cocaine and over 900 pounds of marijuana on Thursday in San Diego, turning over the seizures from encounters like the one in the video to federal authorities. The drugs are worth a combined estimated $569 million, the Coast Guard says.

Column: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez turns the 116th Congress into Thunderdome

Not so long ago—as recently as the cover of the March 2019 Rolling Stone, in fact—they seemed like the best of friends. I'm referring to Nancy Pelosi and the members of "The Squad": Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and (not pictured) Rashida Tlaib and Ayanna Pressley. They shared some good times.

It was the dawn of a new era. House Democrats had returned to power after eight years. And these Democrats were remarkably diverse in age, ethnicity, race, and gender. Ideology, too: Ocasio-Cortez and Tlaib belong to the Democratic Socialists of America. "Our nation is at an historic moment," Pelosi said in January. "Two months ago, the American people spoke, and demanded a new dawn."

Well, the sun has set. And fast. Whatever Pelosi's plans might have been, they've been lost in a fog of anti-Semitism and left-wing radicalism. If Ilhan Omar isn't causing Pelosi trouble, Ocasio-Cortez is. And vice versa. One day the speaker has to respond to the charge that Jewish money controls American foreign policy. The next she has to downplay flatulent cows. It's enough to make one pity her. Almost.

Antifa won't pick fight with Bikers for Trump

President Trump said Thursday the antifa members who assaulted conservative journalist Andy Ngo recently are too cowardly to confront burly bikers and construction workers who support the president.

Speaking at a White House event for conservative social media leaders, the president referred to Mr. Ngo as the “young man who just got slugged viciously” by antifa members during a protest in Portland, Oregon.

“Do you ever notice they [Antifa] pick on certain people?” Mr. Trump asked. “I mean, he [Mr. Ngo] would tell you he’s not the toughest person in the world physically, right?”

“They don’t go after ‘Bikers for Trump,’” Mr. Trump continued. “They don’t go after our construction workers who love us. They don’t go after the police. They live, like, in the basement of their mom’s home. Their arms are this big [skinny].”

Illegal Alien Accused of Killing Father of Two Ordered Deported Six Years Ago

An illegal alien accused of killing a father of two in a hit-and-run crash was ordered deported about six years ago, federal officials reveal, in the sanctuary state of Illinois.

Jose Rodriguez, a 27-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, is accused of running a red light on June 22 in Bloomington, Illinois, causing him to hit and kill 39-year-old Corey Cottrell, a father of two daughters, who was riding his motorcycle at the time and was on his way to see his mother, Kathy.

According to prosecutors, Rodriguez fled the scene of the crash after hitting Cottrell. The following day, Rodriguez turned himself into law enforcement officials and has since been charged with causing a deadly hit-and-run and driving without a license.

Just days after being charged, though, Rodriguez was allowed to post bail and be released.

In 2017, Illinois became a sanctuary state for the 400,000+ illegal aliens living in the state. The law shields criminal illegal aliens from being detained and deported from the U.S. In Rodriguez’s case, the state allowed him to be released on bail despite his deportation order dating back six years to ago. On March 6, 2014, Rodriguez was issued a final deportation order by an immigration judge in a trial after he did not show up.

Why “Made in the USA” matters

In today’s global economy, some of the products you buy may have been made in other countries. That outsourcing of labor from the United States comes with both benefits and drawbacks.

Sometimes items cost less, due to outsourcing, which is good for consumers and retailers alike.

“Job outsourcing helps U.S. companies be more competitive in the global marketplace,” according to The Balance financial site. “It allows them to sell to foreign markets with overseas branches. They keep labor costs low by hiring in emerging markets with lower standards of living.”

Unfortunately, a major problem of outsourcing is it can increase the country’s unemployment rate. In fact, U.S. overseas affiliates employ over 14 million workers—double the number of unemployed Americans, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA). The top U.S. industries being outsourced are manufacturing, human resources, technology, and call centers, the BEA says.

Judge doubles prison sentence to 30 years, warns others: Don’t try this

Syracuse, NY -- A Syracuse burglar, who participated in a fatal home invasion, will spend twice as long in prison after reneging on a deal to help bring his fellow criminals to justice.

In any case, Byrd’s promised sentence of 15 years in prison was long gone, County Court Judge Thomas J. Miller said.

“In my opinion, you attempted to play everyone,” the judge told him. “Your bluff was called."

Byrd, with three others, had taken plea deals that called for 10 to 15 years in prison and promises to testify against the others.

Maryland County's policy gives illegal immigrants benefits US citizens, others not entitled to

In an instructional video linked in the article, Maryland's Prince George's County Police Chief Henry Stawinski and FOP president John Teletchea instruct police officers that they are not to cooperate with federal warrants for “civil” matters involving illegal immigrants. Chief Stawinski states, “Let’s be clear, the intent of this policy is to keep both you, and our community, safe.” This statement is laughable. Even worse, it’s dangerous, shortsighted and unforgivable.

Let me be clear. What Chief Stawinski and FOP president Teletchea are really saying is this. “The intent of this policy is to protect illegal immigrants, not our officers or the community we serve. We would rather wait until illegal immigrants have had a chance to commit a violent crime against our officers, our local community or other innocent American citizens and legal immigrants before we cooperate with the federal government in removing them.”

Trump, 'not backing down', announces executive order

President Trump, speaking at the White House on Thursday, announced that he would "immediately" issue an executive order to get an accurate count of non-citizens and citizens in the United States -- a measure Trump said would be "far more accurate" than relying on a citizenship question in the 2020 census.

The move would make use of "vast" federal databases and free up information sharing among various federal agencies concerning who they know is in the country, Trump said.

"Today I'm here to say we are not backing down in our effort to determine the citizenship status of the United States population," the president told reporters, after slamming Democrats he said were playing politics with national security. "We will leave no stone unturned."

He called legal opposition to adding a citizenship question to the 2020 census "meritless."

LUNCH WITH THE POPE

Just a little humor this morning...

President Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega yacht

The Pope accepted and during lunch a puff of wind blew the Pontiff's hat off, right into the water. It floated off about 50 feet, then the wind died down and it just floated in place.

The crew and the Secret Service were scrambling to launch a boat to go get it, when Trump waved them off, saying, "Never mind boys, I'll get it."

Then Donald climbed over the side of the yacht, walked on the water to the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed into the yacht, and handed the Pope his hat.

The crew was speechless. The security team and the Pope's entourage were speechless. No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.

But that afternoon, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC reported:

"TRUMP CAN'T SWIM”

Another media jab at our President.............

Friday Morning Funnies
