School CANCELS Halloween… BECAUSE OFFENSIVE!

No fun allowed!

Boyden Elementary School in Walpole, Massachusetts has cancelled their Halloween costume parade in favor of “Black and Orange” spirit day.

As a proud Celt, I am already disgusted that people who are not of Celtic descent celebrate Halloween, which comes down from the old Celtic celebration of Samhain. Our significant day is not your spooky, candy-filled night of fun! But I doubt that Boyden is cancelling Halloween out of respect to Irish and Scottish people in their community of about 25,000 people.

The school’s principal just gave out this announcement:

“…the costume parade is out of our ordinary routine and can be difficult for many students. Also, the parade is not inclusive of all the students and it is our goal each and every day to ensure all student’s individual differences are respected.”

Ron Paul Warns "The American People Are Being Neo-Conned Into Another War"

President Trump has been notoriously inconsistent in his foreign policy. He campaigned on and won the presidency with promises to repair relations with Russia, pull out of no-win wars like Afghanistan, and end the failed US policy of nation-building overseas. Once in office he pursued policies exactly the opposite of what he campaigned on.

Unfortunately Iran is one of the few areas where the president has been very consistent. And consistently wrong.

In the president’s speech last week he expressed his view that Iran was not “living up to the spirit” of the 2015 nuclear agreement and that he would turn to Congress to apply new sanctions to Iran and to, he hopes, take the US out of the deal entirely.

Nearly every assertion in the president’s speech was embarrassingly incorrect. Iran is not allied with al-Qaeda, as the president stated. The money President Obama sent to Iran was their own money. Much of it was a down-payment made to the US for fighter planes that were never delivered when Iran changed from being friend to foe in 1979. The president also falsely claims that Iran targets the United States with terrorism. He claims that Iran has “fueled sectarian violence in Iraq,” when it was Iranian militias who prevented Baghdad from being overtaken by ISIS in 2014. There are too many other false statements in the president’s speech to mention.

Yahoo’s Conception of the Most Beautiful Things on the Internet

Why do we call them journalists? Their job title should be Social Engineer. From a Yahoo! Style article entitled This Couple’s Wedding Photos Are the Most Beautiful Things on the Internet:

Thad Nelson and Aren Muse were absolutely not expecting their wedding photos from September to become the hottest thing on Twitter last week, and their humble and hilarious reaction to their sudden popularity is possibly even more attractive than their beautiful flowing locks.

“IM MARRIED & THE HAPPIEST. This was the best day of my life,” Nelson wrote when he posted the photos last Thursday. The sight of two handsome men with matching long hair looking wildly in love on a beach in Cabo San Lucas drove the internet crazy.

Most of the reactions have been along the lines of @x0elii’s: “the most attractive couple i have ever seen ohmahgawwww.” There are a few “adopt me” requests sprinkled in there, along with gushing congratulations from several thousand strangers.

Idaho family sues 'Doomsday Prepper deputy' for shooting

The family of an Idaho rancher allege he was shot dead in a hail of bullets fired by a trigger-happy doomsday-prepper cop.

Jack Yantis, 62, was killed after Deputy Brian Wood and his partner called him to euthanize his own bull, which had been struck by a vehicle in November 2015.

Arriving to find his animal still alive despite having been shot six times by Woods with his AR-15 assault rifle, Yantis allegedly became angry at the inhumane method of his bull's execution.

Just a few chaotic seconds later 14 shots had been fired by Woods and his partner, leaving Yantis dead and his stunned wife suffering a heart attack as a result of the shock.

Yantis' nephew Rowdy Paradis was also left cuffed on the floor, despite protesting he had a long term shoulder injury.

Furious, the Yantis family have filed a lawsuit against Woods labeling him a murderer who was unhealthily obsessed with the idea of shooting looters.

How The Elite Dominate The World – Part 1: Debt As A Tool Of Enslavement

Throughout human history, those in the ruling class have found various ways to force those under them to work for their economic benefit. But in our day and age, we are willingly enslaving ourselves. The borrower is the servant of the lender, and there has never been more debt in our world than there is right now. According to the Institute of International Finance, global debt has hit the 217 trillion dollar mark, although other estimates would put this number far higher. Of course everyone knows that our planet is drowning in debt, but most people never stop to consider who owns all of this debt. This unprecedented debt bubble represents that greatest transfer of wealth in human history, and those that are being enriched are the extremely wealthy elitists at the very, very top of the food chain.

Did you know that 8 men now have as much wealth as the poorest 3.6 billion people living on the planet combined?

Every year, the gap between the planet’s ultra-wealthy and the poor just becomes greater and greater. This is something that I have written about frequently, and the “financialization” of the global economy is playing a major role in this trend.

The entire global financial system is based on debt, and this debt-based system endlessly funnels the wealth of the world to the very, very top of the pyramid.

It has been said that Albert Einstein once made the following statement
“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it … he who doesn’t … pays it.”

Immigration Reformers on Trump's DHS Pick: 'We Did Not Elect a Bush, We Specifically Rejected the Bush Dynasty'

A pro-American immigration reform group is coming down hard on President Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Kirstjen Nielsen, former Jeb Bush donor and DHS staffer under President George W. Bush, is being slammed by Trump’s immigration allies at NumbersUSA, an organization dedicated to reducing immigration to give relief to American workers who have suffered from stagnant wages and job displacement.

In an interview with Breitbart News, NumbersUSA spokeswoman Rosemary Jenks said “there is no indication anywhere that she knows anything about immigration policy,” despite Nielsen receiving praise in the mainstream media by her former pro-cheap labor, pro-open borders colleagues in the Bush administration, as Breitbart News reported.

“Doesn’t that really say it all,” Jenks said of the Bush political establishment’s endorsement of Nielsen.

“There was virtually no one in the Bush admin that was good on immigration,” Jenks said. “If the Trump administration is serious about driving an immigration agenda, I don’t see how it happens with someone at the head of DHS who doesn’t know anything about immigration policy.”

Fusion GPS Partners Plead The Fifth

Two of the co-founders of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm behind the infamous Trump dossier, invoked their Fifth Amendment rights during a meeting with the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, a person familiar with the matter told The Daily Caller.

Peter Fritsch and Thomas Catan, the two Fusion GPS partners, plead the Fifth “to every question asked of them,” the source says.

The House panel earlier this month subpoenaed Fritsch, Catan and their fellow partner, Glenn Simpson, to discuss their involvement in the dossier, which was compiled last year by former British spy Christopher Steele.

In a letter to California Rep. Devin Nunes earlier this week, Fusion’s attorneys suggested that the three partners, all former Wall Street Journal reporters, would refuse to cooperate with the committee, citing First Amendment protections and confidentiality agreements.

Gregg Jarrett: The Clinton cover-up, brought to you by the same guys who are investigating Trump

Damning new evidence appears to show that Hillary Clinton used her office as Secretary of State to confer benefits to Russia in exchange for millions of dollars in donations to her foundation and cash to her husband.

But there’s more. It seems it was all covered up for years by the same three people who are now involved in the investigation of President Donald Trump over so-called Russian “collusion.”

The incriminating evidence was uncovered by The Hill (John Solomon and Alison Spann) and Circa News (Sara Carter). Their dogged reporting reveals that the FBI gathered a multitude of documents, secret recordings, intercepted emails, financial records, and eyewitnesses accounts showing that Russian nuclear officials directed millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation and hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Clinton during the very time that Hillary Clinton presided over a governing body which unanimously approved the sale of one-fifth of America’s uranium supply to Russia.

The corrupt scheme is said to have been financed by the Russians through bribes, kickbacks, extortion and money laundering. The FBI and the Department of Justice reportedly had the evidence in their possession before the uranium sale, but kept the matter secret and never notified Congress which would surely have stopped the transfer of uranium to Russia.

Indeed, the entire sordid affair remained hidden for seven long years. Until now.

Giant fatberg is removed from Baltimore sewer

A gigantic fatberg of congealed fat, wet wipes and human waste that may have taken more than 60 years to grow below Baltimore has been removed.

The city's Public Works department used a camera, pressure washer and truck-mounted industrial vacuum to clear the mass of curdled grease, wet wipes and other waste.

Workers resorted to the strategy Monday after they'd begun scraping pieces off last month shortly after the gunk was blamed for a sewer overflow in the city.

Police: Bus Passenger Attacked Disabled White Man While Screaming About Slavery

A disabled white man was attacked on a Maryland mass transit bus by an African American who seemed to be blaming the victim for putting his ancestors into slavery, according to police.

The 52-year-old victim was a passenger on a Metro bus in the Washington, DC, suburb of Silver Spring, Maryland, when Marquis Evans-Royster, 27, began spitting in his face and hurling racial epithets at him, according to ABC in Washington.

The harassment began almost immediately after Evans-Royster boarded the bus without paying the fare, police said.

The victim, who is homeless and remains unnamed in reports, initially tried to ignore Evans-Royster’s taunts but finally tried to push the attacker away when he began to go through the victim’s pockets while yelling, “You owe me for making my grandmother a slave.”

When other passengers began to try and intervene to stop Evans-Royster from attacking the victim, the attacker threatened to douse them with urine.

The threat caused one bus rider to tell the media that Evans-Royster must also have some sort of mental problem. “Who carries around a bottle a urine?” bus rider Desi Cureton scoffed.

Bannon Says GOP "Trying To Destroy Me" As He Sets His Sights On Jeff Flake's Senate Seat

Having successfully led a campaign to elect Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore in his primary runoff against the GOP establishment candidate Luther Strange, former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon has now set his sights on Jeff Flake's Arizona Senate seat. At a kickoff rally for Flake's Republican primary opposition, Dr. Kelli Ward, Bannon said that the Republican establishment, led by Mitch McConnell, John McCain and Bob Corker are actively "trying to destroy him everyday." More from The Hill:

Former chief White House strategist Steve Bannon attacked top Republicans at a primary campaign rally Tuesday, accusing Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and other GOP leaders of "trying to destroy him every day," according to the Associated Press.

Bannon also targeted Sens. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) in his speech at a campaign fundraiser for Kelli Ward, a primary challenger to Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.), who is one of the many incumbent Republicans that Bannon is targeting in 2018.

The former strategist for President Trump has announced plans for open war against GOP lawmakers who do not completely support Trump's agenda and his intention to back candidates challenging each Senate Republican except for Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

“It’s an open revolt and it should be. These people hold you in total contempt," Bannon said at the campaign kickoff event. "When they attack a Donald Trump and Dr. Kelli Ward, it's not Donald Trump and Kelli Ward they're trying to shut up, it's you they're trying to shut up," he said.

Morgan Stanley: "Client Cash Is At Its Lowest Level" As Institutions Dump Stocks To Retail

The "cash on the sidelines" myth is officially dead.

Recall that at the end of July, we reported that in its Q2 earnings results, Schwab announced that after years of avoiding equities, clients of the retail brokerage opened the highest number of brokerage accounts in the first half of 2017 since 2000. This is what Schwab said on its Q2 conference call:

New accounts are at levels we have not seen since the Internet boom of the late 1990s, up 34% over the first half of last year. But maybe more important for the long-term growth of the organization is not so much new accounts, but new-to-firm households, and our new-to-firm retail households were up 50% over that same period from 2016.

In total, Schwab clients opened over 350,000 new brokerage accounts during the quarter, with the year-to-date total reaching 719,000,marking the biggest first-half increase in 17 years. Total client assets rose 16% to $3.04 trillion. Perhaps more ominously to the sustainability of the market's melt up, Schwab also adds that the net cash level among its clients has only been lower once since the depths of the financial crisis in Q1 2009:

Now, it's clear that clients are highly engaged in the markets, we have cash being aggressively invested into the equity market, as the market has climbed. By the end of the second quarter, cash levels for our clients had fallen to about 11.5% of assets overall, now, that's a level that we've only seen one time since the market began its recovery in the spring of 2009.

While some of this newfound euphoria may have been due to Schwab's recent aggressive cost-cutting strategy, it is safe to say that the wholesale influx of new clients, coupled with the euphoria-like allocation of cash into stocks, means that between ETFs and other passive forms of investing, as well as on a discretionary basis, US retail investors are now the most excited to own stocks since the financial crisis. In a confirmation that retail investors had thrown in the towel on prudence, according to a quarterly investment survey from E*Trade, nearly a third of millennial investors were planning to move out of cash and into new positions in the second half of 2017. By comparison, only 19% of Generation X investors (aged 35-54) were planning such a change to their portfolio, while 9% of investors above the age of 55 had plans to buy in.

North Carolina Basketball Cheats, Gets Off

Tar Heels Emerge Unscathed From #FakeClasses Scandal …

The University of North Carolina men’s basketball program escaped NCAA sanctions this week in connection with a lingering academic fraud case.

The school – which essentially funneled athletes into #FakeClasses (a.k.a. “paper courses”) in an effort to keep them eligible for competition – will get to keep all of its scholarships, maintain its postseason eligibility and will not be required to give up any of its victories (including its recent national championships).

What a joke, right? Right …

“While student-athletes likely benefited from the so-called ‘paper courses’ offered by North Carolina, the information available in the record did not establish that the courses were solely created, offered and maintained as an orchestrated effort to benefit student-athletes,” NCAA panel leader (and SEC commissioner) Greg Sankey said in a statement. “The panel is troubled by the university’s shifting positions about whether academic fraud occurred on its campus … however, NCAA policy is clear. The NCAA defers to its member schools to determine whether academic fraud occurred and, ultimately, the panel is bound to making decisions within the rules set by the membership.”

Trump Dossier Creators 'Plead Da Fif' During House Intel Hearings

Is it just us, or are the only people refusing to testify during Washington's ever-decreasing circle of Russiagate witch-hunting, the leftists who cast the largest aspersions in the first place?

Two of the co-founders of Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm behind the infamous Trump dossier, invoked their Fifth Amendment rights during a meeting with the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday, a person familiar with the matter told The Daily Caller.

As a reminder, Fusion was working for an ally of Hillary Clinton’s last June when the firm hired Steele to investigate Donald Trump’s personal and business activities in Russia. The result is a 35-page document full of salacious and uncorroborated allegations about Trump and his campaign associates. The dossier has been cited by the FBI as part of its investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian operatives.

Grassley probes Clinton 'conflicts of interest' amid new questions in Russia uranium deal

A top Senate Republican is probing potential “conflicts of interest” for Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration regarding the 2010 approval of a controversial uranium deal with a Russian company, amid new details about donations from “interested parties” and an FBI corruption probe involving employees of the same Russian firm.

“This committee has an obligation to get to the bottom of this issue,” Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, said Wednesday, at the start of a hearing with Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The Hill reported a day earlier that the FBI had evidence as early as 2009 that Russian operatives used bribes, kickbacks and other dirty tactics to expand Moscow’s atomic energy footprint in the U.S. -- but the Obama administration approved the uranium deal benefiting Moscow anyway.

Tragic plight of Germans in America during First World War

A fascinating collection of photos have resurfaced showing the hardships faced by German-Americans at the brutal height of the First World War.

As Europe was ravaged by fighting, German immigrants in the US suffered harassment, internment, lynchings - and even the humiliation of being tarred and feathered.

Although a little-remembered part of history today, America was wracked by the fear and paranoia that swept from coast to coast during the Great War.

The United States declared war on Germany in April 1917 and helped lead the Allies to victory. But before that, many Americans were terrified of the German threat growing on the other side of the world.

This collection of pictures reveals the full extent of war hysteria and open hostility towards all things German that erupted across the nation.

"It's An Utter Mess" - Paul Craig Roberts Warns The Biggest Danger To Stocks Is The Dollar

Former Assistant Treasury Secretary in the Reagan Administration, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, says the record highs you see in the stock markets are based on “phony profits” that come from global central banks “propping up” the financial system.

“Any of these central banks are really only there for a handful of big banks. That’s all they are concerned with.

All the Federal Reserve has been concerned with for the last decade is the welfare of a handful of mega banks. Of course, the banks are too large. They should have never been allowed to get that large. When you have a bank too big to fail, then your policy has failed.

You’ve allowed too much concentration. Where is anti-trust? Where is the Sherman Act?

Everything that was legislated in the past to prevent the kind of looming catastrophe that is hanging over our heads, this looming catastrophe is produced by central banks. They are perpetuating it because they don’t know how to get out of it.”

JFK - The Speech That Killed Him

Those Consummate Celebrity Hypocrites

"Not good riddance, but riddance," Jimmy Kimmel!

It would not be accurate to say that all celebrities are narcissists. Nor that all of them are eventually seduced by their fame and fortune to believe, because they’ve made a lot of money in the business of pretense, or by throwing balls or by telling jokes, that somehow their opinion on everything else matters. But the fact is, many people are compelled into celebrity fame by varying degrees of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

That would include a lot of celebrity politicians, most notably Barack Obama, who should have a shelf full of Oscars for his eight-year acting role as “president” — along with his Nobel Appeasement Prize. Having endured a few episodes of the Democrat administration of Frank Underwood in the fictional series “House of Cards,” I can tell you that the primary difference between that farce and Obama’s administration is that actor Kevin Spacey has better scriptwriters.

The same pathological egocentrism that propelled Obama’s meteoric celebrity is epidemic in the “entertainment” industry.

GOT HER! Maxine Waters Caught Taking What’s NOT Hers

Corrupt Maxine Waters has been caught with her hand in the Congressional till again. Long known as one of the most corrupt members of Congress, this time, she outdid herself. The older she gets, the more arrogant she gets and face it… Mad Max has never been the brightest bulb in the socket. Naomi Lim of the Washington Examiner is bringing to light how Maxine Waters spent $10,000 in campaign committee funds on tickets to the Broadway musical Hamilton. She categorized it as a “fundraising expense,” which isn’t sitting very well with the Federal Elections Commission.

Waters isn’t returning comment on the development. She’s too busy smearing Ben Carson and calling for the impeachment of President Trump. Seems to me that she deflects an awful lot… she tries to paint others with the corruption she wears daily. Inquiries made to Ticket Fulfillment Services LP, the recipient listed on the form, were also not immediately responded to. Citizens for Waters raised a total of $954,948 and spent $1.05 million to re-elect her. She has been in the US Congress since 1991.

Big Pharma funded anti-US militia in Iraq

U.S. and European drug companies indirectly yet knowingly funded Iran-backed Iraqi militias that carried out attacks against U.S. troops, veterans of the Iraq War alleged in a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

The lawsuit alleges that five drug companies won contracts with the Iraqi government during the 2003 peak of the war with knowledge that free drugs and medical devices would end up in the hands of a Shiite militia.

That militia would then sell the drugs and devices to the black market to fund its operations against the U.S., the New York Times reported.

Named in the lawsuit are U.S. firms General Electric, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer and European drugmakers AstraZeneca and Roche Holding A.G.

The companies won contracts with the Iraqi Ministry of Health that at the time was controlled by the leader of the Mahdi Army, a group known for attacking U.S. troops and working closely with Lebanese paramilitary group Hezbollah, which the U.S. has designated a terrorist group, the Times reported.

Why the #Resist movement has it completely wrong

Since President Trump’s election the progressives in the USA have decided that they are “the Resistance.” Everywhere we look on social media we see the #Resist banner. From the virtue-signaling Hollywood celebrity to every leftist, tenured university professor, they have proudly declared themselves members of “the Resistance” club.

But what exactly is this resistance? What does it stand for?

These latte revolutionaries believe they are still fighting the 1960’s “revolution” for freedom and liberty, but over the last fifty years leftist/cultural Marxist group-think has taken over and infiltrated literally every aspect of society. That revolution was, in many ways, already won years ago and yet, they continue to fight on because for the left it won’t be enough until every single one of us thinks exactly like them.

The reality is that the #Resist movement is not the counter-culture that they think they are. They actually represent the status quo, and are supporters of the Establishment itself. They are happy to wrap themselves in the conceit that they are like some kind of Second World War resistance movement fighting evil fascists. The very word resistance implies an embattled underground group resisting an occupying, ruthless enemy.

Crowdfunding Site Cancels Aid to California Wildfire Victims—Because Cannabis

With the most devastating wildfire in California history laying waste to its members’ homes and livelihoods, the California Growers Association responded in the way most crises are handled in 2017: crowdfunding.

As of Tuesday morning, 41 people have perished in the fires, which have burned more than 101,000 acres and destroyed 6,700 homes and businesses at an estimated cost of more than $3 billion. Multiple fires are still burning in Mendocino, Napa, and Sonoma counties—the very heart of California’s wine and cannabis region—and 88 people are still missing in Sonoma County alone, the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat reported.

The California Growers Association, the main lobby representing cannabis growers in Sacramento, estimates that as many as 300 marijuana farms have been affected in some way by the deadly fires still burning near Santa Rosa, about 60 miles north of San Francisco. Some have seen entire crops tainted with toxic smoke and ash, while others have lost both their harvests and their homes to the flames.

The fires came at the worst imaginable time: at the height of the fall harvest, in a year when many growers had exhausted their savings or taken on investment to obtain costly county permits ahead of statewide legalization. And unlike other farmers in the region, cannabis growers generally don’t qualify for crop insurance.

Judges in Hawaii, Maryland Block Latest Version of Trump's Travel Ban

Just hours before President Donald Trump's latest travel ban was to take full effect, a federal judge in Hawaii blocked the revised order, saying the policy has the same problems as a previous version.

The revised order "suffers from precisely the same maladies as its predecessor," U.S. District Judge Derrick Watson wrote in his ruling, which prevented the Trump administration from enforcing the travel ban set to go into effect early Wednesday.

It was the third set of travel restrictions issued by the president to be thwarted, in whole or in part, by the courts.

A federal judge in Maryland quickly followed suit with a similar ruling. U.S. District Judge Theodore Chuang also granted a nationwide preliminary injunction late Tuesday.

Chuang's ruling said the administration had "not shown that national security cannot be maintained without an unprecedented eight-country travel ban."

Gay and in Love at an Evangelical College

The protagonist of our film, Santiago Gonzalez IV, is a first-generation college student, son of Mexican immigrants, surfer, flamenco dancer, bullfighter, dedicated Christian and a young gay man navigating his first same-sex relationship, with his classmate Austin McKinley. As he graduates from his conservative Christian college in San Diego, Mr. Gonzalez manages to beautifully balance these identity categories, which can often divide communities, families, and individuals.

Mr. Gonzalez’s story spoke strongly to both of us, even though we come from strikingly different religious perspectives. Mr. Callahan is a filmmaker focused on cultivating empathy for complex people, as well as being ordained in the church that Santi began attending in middle school. Mr. Sheaffer is an experimental filmmaker whose work often grapples with sexuality, and he is also a committed atheist. Two Chicago Aviation Officers Fired For Role In Dragging United Passenger From Flight

More than six months after a ticketed United Airlines passenger was forcibly removed from a flight by Chicago law enforcement personnel, two of the four Chicago Department of Aviation Security officers involved have been fired.

According to a new report [PDF] from Chicago’s Inspector General Joseph Ferguson, an Aviation Security officer and a sergeant were fired. A third officer resigned, and the fourth received a two-day suspension.

The OIG’s investigation found that the officers “mishandled a non-threatening situation that resulted in a physically violent and forceful removal” of Dr. David Dao from the United flight headed to Louisville on April 9.

The report details Dao’s injuries due to the “use of excessive force,” including a concussion, a broken nose, and the loss of two teeth.

Schumer Calls Trump 'Obstructionist in Chief'

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., labeled President Donald Trump "obstructionist in chief," according to The Hill.

SeaWorld cuts 350 positions across company

SeaWorld, which has struggled with declining attendance, announced it is cutting 350 positions effective today, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The company is laying off people and not refilling open positions across the company, although the cuts primarily affect its corporate headquarters and the parks in Orlando and San Diego, said Aimee Jeansonne-Becka.

Jeansonne-Becka said the cuts mostly affect administrative positions and jobs that do not deal directly with the public. The company tried to eliminate redundant jobs, such as two marketing teams that handle the same event at two different parks.

She stressed the company is still dedicated to its animal rescue and rehabilitation, which was not impacted.

SeaWorld executives had previously said their goal was to reach $40 million in net savings through 2018.

Alexander: Those Consummate Celebrity Hypocrites

It would not be accurate to say that all celebrities are narcissists. Nor that all of them are eventually seduced by their fame and fortune to believe, because they've made a lot of money in the business of pretense, or by throwing balls or by telling jokes, that somehow their opinion on everything else matters. But the fact is, many people are compelled into celebrity fame by varying degrees of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

That would include a lot of celebrity politicians, most notably Barack Obama, who should have a shelf full of Oscars for his eight-year acting role as "president" — along with his Nobel Appeasement Prize. Having endured a few episodes of the Democrat administration of Frank Underwood in the fictional series "House of Cards," I can tell you that the primary difference between that farce and Obama's administration is that actor Kevin Spacey has better scriptwriters.

The same pathological ego-centrism that propelled Obama's meteoric celebrity is epidemic in the "entertainment" industry.

Since Donald Trump announced his presidential aspirations in 2015, the collective entertainment collusion brain trust, with a few brave exceptions, has plunged into an abyss of hacking political hyperbole. While the Demo/MSM talking heads have always been dependable propagandists for the Left, another media sector, the late-night TV and cable chattering class, has become regressively more "political," perfecting the model of entertainment as indoctrination in order to advance the Left's agenda.

Monday Night Football Rating Fall to Season Low

It felt like a little bit of history was being made on Monday Night Football as the Tennessee Titans finally snapped their streak of 11 consecutive losses to the Indianapolis Colts. However, as social media sparked with ESPN not showing the playing of the national anthem, another type of history was also being made: Last night’s primetime broadcast of the Titans’ 36-22 victory stumbled to a season low with a 6.1 in metered market results.

In a season stained by overall ratings declines and political controversy, that NFLWeek 6 rating is down 13% from the early numbers of the much tighter October 9 matchup between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears. That MNF season low went on to deliver a 3.7 rating among adults 18-49 and a total viewership of 10.3 million. It’s worth noting that the peek of last week’s MNF came at halftime on the Disney-owned cabler when the new Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer debuted.

Dreamers, or the American Dream Killers?

Illegal immigration is an increasing tax burden on Americans, while at the same time undercutting their wages.

As Congress considers legislation regarding DACA and the so-called “Dreamers,” it’s worth noting the effect immigration — illegal immigration in particular — has on the American Dream.

Recently the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) released its latest study on the financial cost of illegal immigration on American taxpayers. While the mainstream media often touts illegal immigration as being a boon for the economy, the actual burden of the growing illegal population on Americans is conveniently ignored. FAIR’s study calculates that illegal immigrants are costing taxpayers $116 billion annually even after the economic tax revenues associated with illegal alien labor have been factored in.

These expenses are borne out in three primary areas: Medical care, public education and law enforcement. Another factor often ignored is that state and local governments bear the brunt of these expenses. An estimated $88.9 billion falls on state and local government, while the federal government bears $45.8 billion annually. Once again, the legislators in Washington are insulated from the consequences of their own policies.

Another example of illegal immigrants’ impact on American workers is via the federal government’s immigrant worker permit programs..

McConnell Folds Under Populist Pressure, Extends Senate Workweek

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) finally cracked under pressure from conservatives and populists alike and decided to extend the Senate’s workweek into Fridays and even the possibly the weekend.

Conservatives and populists urged McConnell to extend the Senate’s work hours to carry out President Donald Trump’s agenda, which includes confirming judicial nominees and passing vital legislation such as a budget resolution and tax reform.

Conservatives chastised the Senate’s light work week, which typically spans from Monday evening to early Thursday afternoon. GOP sources say that the Senate’s work schedule will start to mirror the average Americans’; the Senate will now work on Fridays and possibly the weekend to complete their legislative priorities.

Breitbart News reported that under Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Senate remains in session roughly 2.5 days per week.

Healthcare Deal ‘Second Largest Expansion of Federal Abortion Funding’

A healthcare policy analyst warns Republicans the “bipartisan” healthcare deal engineered by Sens. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Patty Murray (D-WA) represents the “second largest expansion of federal abortion funding, behind only Obamacare itself.”

Christopher Jacobs, CEO of Juniper Research Group, writes at the Federalist:

Coming on a week when Senate Republican leaders seek to pass a budget precluding another attempt to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, the Alexander-Murray deal would not only fail to advance the pro-life cause, it would, by extending subsidies to insurers who cover abortions, actively undermine it.

Jacobs explains that, unless Alexander directly adds the Hyde Amendment – which prohibits federal taxpayer funding for most abortions – to the bill, “the cost-sharing reduction payments to insurers will be used to fund plans that cover abortion.”

Maryland Republican insiders blast state GOP

Several Republican operatives, Republican Party insiders, and even a state party official have written to A Miner Detail in the last two weeks to blast Maryland’s Republican Party and are concerned that Gov. Larry Hogan’s re-election is in peril – unless changes are made.

The Republicans who wrote A Miner Detail asked to be on background.

This past week, one longtime Republican insider said:

Mike Pantelides is most likely going to lose the Annapolis mayoral race, and it will be entirely the fault of himself, the guy the party tapped to run his campaign, and the party itself. Literally the night of the primary, I was told by someone who has worked with the party closely that they weren’t taking the race seriously.

They assumed they had it in the bag.

Well, now we are three weeks out from the election, and Mike isnt’t out knocking doors; he is lobbing stupid attacks at this opponent, and no one seems to realize that neither voter registration numbers nor the overall message are on his side. They’ve done nothing.

Weekly Fishing Report: Oct. 18, 2017

The much anticipated annual striped bass young of the year survey results have been released and they are positive. In addition, the number of two-year-old striped bass that are being encountered in all three regions of the bay also bode well for the future of striped bass fishing in the Chesapeake Bay.

Recently we have begun to experience some chilly nights; perhaps this will begin to drive water temperatures in the tidal rivers down and kick off the anticipated fall run of baitfish leaving the tidal rivers.

'Help Us' Pleads Small French Town Dubbed 'The New Calais' After Migrant Influx

The small French town of Ouistreham in Normandy is struggling to cope with an influx of illegal migrants looking for a new launch pad to Britain, now that security has tightened around Calais.

The town’s security chief told the Daily Mail that most of the migrants are Africans from Eritrea and Sudan, but there are others who hail from countries such as Albania, Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan — and the situation is deteriorating.

“It is getting worse,” he told the newspaper. “We need more help. We need more police officers, but this is a problem that has to be resolved at a higher level.

“There is a big number of migrants who are waiting to go to the UK. If some have success getting on the ferries then more will come here.

“We want to make sure that the town doesn’t become the new Sangatte. The town is worried. We are powerless.”

How To Survive A Heart Attack While Alone

Please pause for 2 minutes and read this:

1. Let’s say it’s 7.25pm and you’re going home (alone of course) after an unusually hard day on the job.

2. You’re really tired, upset and frustrated.

3 Suddenly you start experiencing severe pain in your chest that starts to drag out into your arm and up in to your jaw. You are only about five km from the hospital nearest your home.

4. Unfortunately you don’t know if you’ll be able to make it that far.

5. You have been trained in CPR, but the guy who taught the course did not tell you how to perform it on yourself.

6. HOW TO SURVIVE A HEART ATTACK WHEN ALONE? Since many people are alone when they suffer a heart attack without help, the person whose heart is beating improperly and who begins to feel faint, has only about 10 seconds left before losing consciousness.

7. However, these victims can help themselves by coughing repeatedly and very vigorously. A deep breath should be taken before each cough, and the cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest. A breath and a cough must be repeated about every two seconds without let-up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.

8. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating. The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart attack victims can get to a hospital.

9. Tell as many other people as possible about this. It could save their lives!!

10. A cardiologist says If everyone who gets this mail kindly sends it to 10 people, you can bet that we’ll save at least one life.

11. Rather than sending jokes, please... contribute by forwarding this mail which can save a person’s life.

12. If this message comes around you... more than once… please don’t get irritated... You should instead, be happy that you have many friends who care about you & keeps reminding you how to deal with a Heart attack.

Hold your finger down on the message and hit forward.

Calif. Gov. Brown Vetoes Bill Aimed at Forcing Trump to Disclose Tax Returns

Brown refused to release copies of his tax returns twice during his political career

California Gov. Jerry Brown blocked fellow state Democrats from forcing President Donald Trump and other presidential candidates to disclose their personal income tax returns, arguing that such a requirement goes too far and could lead to increased demands for other personal records.

Brown's veto is a rare rejection of his state's Democratic legislators' efforts to distance themselves from Trump. The measure would have required all presidential candidates to disclose five years of income tax information to qualify for the California ballot.

State Democrats passed the bill this summer in response to Trump's refusal to release his returns during the last election. The bill is just one of several, including the state's recent sanctuary state law, which Democrats passed to publicly confront Trump.
