Slots May Not Happen In Worcester County

Frederick County will get them instead. Although I hear the owner of Ocean Downs allegedly put in $50,000.00 towards O'Malley's campaign, this might not be over till the fat lady sings.

Salisbury University & City Of Salisbury Break The Law

There was a Wicomico County Traffic Safety Meeting today. During this meeting they were discussing ongoing and future issues relating to traffic and DWI issues.

One of the concerns brought up was the amount of collisions that the Maryland State Police are investigating at the intersection of South Division Street and Bateman Street as a result of the pedestrian cross walk being put in.

Also at these meetings are the County Roads Supervisor, PRMC Staff, SPD Brass, Sheriff's Brass and WICO BOE Brass. I was informed by the County Roads Superintendent that South Division is a County road and Salisbury University has approached them about placing a cross walk there.

SU was informed that the intersection was not appropriate nor safe for a cross walk, so they were shut down. However, apparently SU did not take no for an answer and pulled some strings at Salisbury Public Works and got a cross walk ILLEGALLY placed on a county road.

I know what your thinking, how can the Salisbury Public Works place their cross walk on a county road without permission? The County Road Supervisor stated they just did it even after they were informed that the County did not approve the intersection for a cross walk.

He did state that they told SU that one could be placed farther south if SU moved there fence line and cut down the trees to make the intersection more visible. Apparently SU did not want to and went behind the County Roads back and got the City to put one in.

Everyone at this meeting was flabbergasted and some were laughing (except for the Salisbury Police Brass).

Time to put in a little OVER TIME tonight Mayor because you guys have some explaining to do!

THE GOOD HUSBAND

Adam wakes up with a huge hangover after attending the Staff Christmas Party.
Adam is not normally a drinker, but the drinks didn't taste like alcohol at all.
He didn't even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he did something wrong.

Adam had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees Is a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. And, next to them, a single red rose! Adam sits up and sees his clothing In front of him, all clean and pressed. He looks around the room and sees that it is in perfect order, spotlessly clean.
So is the rest of the house.

He takes the aspirins, cringes when he sees a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he notices a note hanging on the corner of the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: "Honey, Breakfast is on the stove, I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, darling! Love, Vicki"

He stumbles to the kitchen and sure enough, there is hot breakfast, Steaming hot coffee and the morning newspaper. His son is also at the table, eating. Adam asks, "Son, what happened last night?"

Well, you came home after 3 A.M., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway, and got that black eye when you ran into the door.

Confused, he asked his son, "So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on t he table waiting for me?"

His son replies, "Oh THAT! Mom dragged you to the bedroom, and when she tried to take your pants off, you screamed, Leave me alone, I'm Married!"

Broken Coffee Table $239.99.

Hot Breakfast $4.20.

Two Aspirins $.38.

Saying the right thing, at the right time,

PRICELESS!!!!

How Stubborn Are They Going To Get?

Yesterday I did a Post on the Jersey Road Annexation. I stated the following.

"The mere fact the County decided they had not provided enough information on this project and walked away from it clearly shows the City of Salisbury should NOT be moving forward with this Annexation as it stands. Not until the County is satisfied they have met all their wants and needs. The time being wasted on this IMO is completely unprofessional and slaps the County in the face."

Last night Council Woman Terry Cohen asked to remove this off the Agenda as the County hadn't made their decisions on the property and the City should not move forward until the County finished their agreements first.

They put it to a VOTE and like complete Idiots, Louise Smith, Gary Comegys & Shanie Shields voted against tabling it and wanted to proceed. It got so ridiculous, the Developers own Attorney stepped up to the podium and flat out asked that the Council in fact table it as they agreed the County hadn't finalized their fair share of negotiations and they wanted to present the CITY COUNCIL with a finished product.

Now the way I see it Folks is, if Joe Albero suggests something, there's NO WAY the Mayor and majority of the Council is going to go by it and even if it makes them look like complete Idiots, they're going to vote against even the most common sense suggestions.

My hat is tipped to the Developer and their Attorney for doing what is right and shame on the Mayor and majority of the City Council for proving once again they are Idiots.

Today's Wildlife Photo!!!!!

If this Happy Face doesn't put a smile on your face today, I don't know what to tell you. Thanks George!

The Many Wonders Of Duct Tape

As you approach the front of the GOB, (Government Office Building) you are gifted with the image of how the City of Salisbury is held together. Salisbury was the millionth and one purpose use for Duct Tape. There was a million before, Salisbury is the millionth and one reason. For the record, I'd like to be known for the millionth and two reason for its use and that would be to go over a certain person's mouth. Have fun with that one!

What You DIDN'T See On PAC14 Last Night

There were more deals being made OFF camera than there were ON camera last night!

Here's the funny part though Folks.

Last night, Barrie Tilghman was SO PARANOID, ANY time ANYONE was outside the Council Chambers speaking to me, she'd jump out of her seat, quickly walk behind the Council, slip out the back door and come all the way around to the hallway area in an attempt to STOP people from talking to me!

Honest to God, it happened TWICE last night and when I started thinking about it, she's done it in the past as well. Here I thought she really had something to say to these people and she'd flat out interrupt us and say she had something to say to the person I was speaking with. The next thing I knew they would walk right past me and go back inside to room.

Barrie Tilghman is FREAKING OUT FOLKS! What say you now Barrie. I have several witnesses for that too. You just gotta love that woman, NOT!

This Was Hanging On The Bulletin Board Outside Council Room Last Night

It says, "Another Evening At Council, Waiting For Something Other Than A Rubber Stamp Session." Can you relate?

The Sbynews.com Link Can't Be Used Any More

As some people are still using the sbynews.com link to access this Blog, it's no longer available. You must use sbynews.blogspot.com to get here.

The company I worked with in the past was bought out by some company in India and quite frankly, anyone who was doing business with them in the past, they couldn't care less about.

I had a three year contract with them and they all of a sudden refused to manage the Site and or answer our requests, so they were useless and that's why we returned to Blogger.

Considering the growth of this Blog, we've been considering changing the name to reach farther than just Salisbury. Yes, imagine Joe Albero coming to a neighborhood near you? LOL

So pass the word around. You must add the blogspot to the name and thanks for visiting, as always. Joe

A Year Ago Today

One year ago Citizens met at Dove Pointe with the property owners of the Old Mall to discuss the future of what they'll be delivering.

To date, the Mall is coming down faster than even I could believe, yet the future is extremely rocky with a major player backing out of developing the property. The future of this property is really up in the air at this point and no one seems to want to touch on what the future holds?

Those Damn Dirty Dozen People! I'm sure Barrie is now blaming them for this whole mess. LOL

The Daily Times Fails To Deliver, AGAIN!

The past 3 out of 4 days The Daily Times has NOT been able to deliver papers on time. I just took the long walk out to my mailbox and once again, the paper just isn't there.

I know I have suggested others cancel their subscription and as I continue to grit my teeth while I PAY for one myself, this is exactly why I have kept mine going. This is an outlet you can depend on that will let you know what you're missing and or that everyone else's paper is late too.

I know on Sunday they had a big banner at the top of their Web Page stating they were having some kind of production problems. 3 out of 4 days now tells me they're having a lot more problems then they're willing to admit.

Well, It Does Say, "Either You Love Us Or You Hate Us"

"your a fucking idiot and i hope a fireman puts a bullet in our head wishfull thinking"

Another dissatisfied Customer! Considering the spelling/grammar, my guess is that it is a Fire Fighter. So if you see me now walking about Downtown with an Army Helmet on, you'll know why.

Sorry about the word above but when you quote somebody, you've got to quote them.
