Texas Police Form Wall of Vehicles to Help Border Patrol Stop Caravan Migrants
Police are lining up their vehicles near Eagle Pass, Texas, to help Border Patrol agents stop the illegal crossing of caravan migrants who arrived in the Mexican border town of Piedras Negras last week. Texas Governor Greg Abbott deployed an additional Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers to the region to assist in securing the border section that has no physical barriers to prevent illegal crossings.
“Texans ask: what’s going on at Eagle Pass?” Governor Abbott tweeted. The governor’s tweet includes a photo showing a large number of DPS vehicles lined up with Border Patrol vehicles along the Rio Grande River near the border community.
In addition to the strong law enforcement presence, President Donald Trump re-assigned 250 active duty military personnel to the Eagle Pass area to assist in securing the border region that has no physical barrier infrastructure in place.

Number of Anchor Babies in 10 States is More Than 4X Boston Population
The number of United States-born children of illegal aliens in ten states is more than four times the total population of Boston, Massachusettes, data reveals.
The U.S.-born children of illegal aliens are commonly known as “anchor babies,” as they “anchor” their illegal alien and noncitizen parents in the U.S. when they are granted immediate birthright citizenship.
There are at least 4.5 million anchor babies in the country, a population that exceeds the total number of annual American births, as about 300,000 anchor babies are born every year, exceeding the total number of American births in 48 states.

HATE HOAX UPDATE: "Chicago Media and Police Doubt Jussie Smollett’s Story"!
Last week, obscure actor Jussie Smollett made national headlines when he claimed to have been targeted in a racist homophobic attack. Gateway Pundit’s Cristina Laila broke the story:
According to a report by TMZ, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett, 35, was brutally beaten by 2 white Trump supporters in ski masks at 2 AM in Chicago.
TMZ reported that according to sources directly connected to Smollett, he was walking to Subway to get something to eat at 2 AM when 2 white men wearing ski masks put his head in a noose, poured bleach on him and screamed, “This is MAGA country!”
According to TMZ, someone also yelled, “Aren’t you that fag*ot ‘Empire’ nig*er?”
Very quickly, things weren’t adding up with Jussie’s story.
Hmm… After Reviewing Hundreds of Hours of Surveillance Footage, Chicago Police Still Have Not Found Video of Attack on Jussie Smollett
HATE HOAX: Jussie Smollett’s Story Falls Apart – “Persons of Interest” Were Walking Away, Not in the Area – Jussie Was Carrying Sandwich When He Returned Home
Now, it’s only getting worse. Even lefty media outlets like Mediate are starting to publicly print what people are saying privately….

Obama's Energy Secretary Shoots Down Green New Deal: 'It's Just Impractical'
Ernest Moniz, former energy secretary for President Barack Obama, weighted in on the newly introduced Green New Deal during a Friday interview with NPR, calling the plan "impractical."
"All Things Considered" host Ari Shapiro asked Moniz if the Green New Deal's goal of eliminating the U.S. carbon footprint in 10 years is attainable.
Moniz said a version of the Green New Deal, one that pursues "very low carbon and social equity," is "exactly what we have to do," but he said the plan introduced by Democrats this week is "just impractical."
"Now, when we come to the Green New Deal, I'm afraid I just cannot see how we could possibly go to zero carbon in the 10-year time frame. It's just impractical," he said.
Self-described democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D., Mass.) released an outline of the Green New Deal on Thursday. The 14-page documentoutlines numerous goals like providing every resident of the United States with a federal job that includes paid vacation and retirement benefits, "adequate housing," "healthy food," and "access to nature." The plan would also aim to achieve "net-zero greenhouse gas emissions through a fair and just transition for all communities and workers."

The Democratic Party Needs To Be Destroyed Before It Destroys The Country
There are no areas in which liberals, progressives, leftists, socialists, or whatever they want to call themselves this week, are working for the betterment of American citizens or to advance the cause of individual liberty. Their entire existence appears to be just the opposite. That’s why they must be destroyed.
Rush Limbaugh, if I remember correctly, used to talk about wanting to keep a few liberals around so future generations could see that they were once real. That was in the 90s, when they still had a grasp on reality. Seems quaint now.
Now it’s as if those liberals never existed. Nancy Pelosi’s city is overrun with feces and used hypodermic needles as illegal aliens flood her state. She doesn’t see disaster, or even a problem, she sees what she’d like to bring everywhere.
To that end, Democrats are moving to destroy the ideas that make up America; everything that makes the United States worth defending.
It’s not just the so-called “Green New Deal,” the Marxist dream packaged as the answer to imaginary problems and pushed by the buck-toothed, bug-eyed Freshman Congresswoman from New York, it’s every concept they’re advocating.

Catholics seek justice for unborn child amid new abortion laws
New York City Catholics and abortion opponents voiced outrage Saturday over the lack of justice for an unborn child who was killed in Queens.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown recently charged Anthony Hobson with murder for allegedly killing Jennifer Irigoyen on Feb. 3 — but said hecouldn’t bring charges over her unborn child’s death due to a recent change in abortion law.
“It’s evil,” said a nurse attending Mass at the Church of St. Agnes in Midtown. “It’s a progressive slippery slope.”
“I’m enraged,” said Rose deMarco, 78, of Greenwich Village. “That was murder. [Hobson] murdered two people and he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
Irigoyen, 35, was five months pregnant when Hobson, 48, allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the abdomen.
He was initially charged with abortion in the second degree, a felony under the state’s previous statues, as well as second-degree murder for Irigoyen’s death.
But the Queens DA’s office withdrew the abortion count when it learned theReproductive Health Act, signed into law last month, moves abortion from the state’s criminal to public health codes.
That “means it’s open season on pregnant women in New York,” said Dennis Poust of the New York State Catholic Conference.

Beyond Parody: VA's Blackface-Wearing Gov Is Going To Retool Agenda To Highlight Race And Equality
What’s happening in Virginia is beyond parody. It’s a total mess. Gov. Ralph Northam, Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax, and state Attorney General Mark Herring, all Democrats, are all engulfed in scandal. Fairfax is facing two sexual assault allegations. Herring and Northam have admitted to wearing blackface. This all began last Friday when Northam’s 1984 Eastern Virginia Medical School yearbook page featured a photo with two people in racist costumes. One is wearing blackface while the other is dressed as a Klansman. Northam had apologized to being in the photo, but then retracted it 24 hours later, saying that wasn’t him, but admitted to wearing blackface as part of a dance competition; he dressed as Michael Jackson. Herring called for him to resign, along with virtually the entire Democratic Party. And then, Herring admitted to wearing blackface and dressing like a rapper in college. The entire governing leadership is aflame. The entire Virginia Democratic Party has collapsed within the span of a week.
And is Northam leaving? Oh, hell no. He challenged his inner-Jordan Belfort and said he ain’t going nowhere, though even liberal polls show by a two-to-one margin that Virginia voters want him gone (via Associated Press):

Virginia Voters to Pay Reparations so Blackface Democrat Governor Can Save His Job!
A picture from Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam’s medical school yearbook surfaced earlier this month showing two men, one in a KKK hood and robe and one in ‘blackface’ on Northam’s yearbook page.
The photo was first published by Big League Politics and later confirmed by other outlets such as WaPo and The Virginian Pilot.

One half of the page shows Ralph Northam wearing a suit jacket and a tie, a photo of him in a cowboy hat and boots and another of him leaning up against a convertible.
Governor Ralph Northam later said the photo was not of him and Friday was the first time he saw the photo in blackface.

'Virginia Vise’: With Lt. Gov. Not Quitting Over Sexual Assault Allegations, Democrats Continue To Implode
The dumpster fire that is Virginia state government continues to burn. It has decimated the governing leadership, as well as the Virginia Democratic Party. State Attorney General Mark Herring and Gov. Ralph Northam both admitted to wearing blackface. Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is now besieged with allegations of sexual assault. The second woman came forward Friday, which Fairfax strongly denied. He was equally vociferous in his denial regarding the first allegation, which he said was a consensual encounter. The Washington Post and other outlets knew about the allegation but did not run the story, being unable to corroborate it. Well, we have two accounts now, along with calls for Fairfax to resign. In less than a week, the Virginia Democratic Party has been decimated. And the party is facing a tough decision concerning Mr. Fairfax because any scintilla of support for him could reap a whirlwind with female voters. Virginia Delegate Patrick Hope, a Democrat, has threatened to file articles of impeachment against Fairfax if he doesn’t resign by Monday. Fairfax, like Northam, said he’s not going anywhere.
This issue could have implications outside of the state as well. Women and black voters played a huge role in the state Democratic Party’s epic 2017 wave. This crisis threatens to infuriate one, the other, or both. The fix is easy if you’re a Democrat, all three have to go, but politicians have egos; even those who turn out to total idiots, like Northam. His mulling of doing a moonwalk at a press conference about his blackface days, which was stopped by his wife, says all you need to know about how he feels about this matter (via NYT):

Spain: Conservatives, Populists Rally Against Pro-Open Borders Socialist Govt
Thousands of Spaniards in Madrid are joining a rally called by right-wing political parties to demand that Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez step down.
The conservative opposition Popular Party and the center-right Citizens party organized Sunday’s rally, which was also backed by the far-right Vox party. They claim that Sanchez must resign for holding talks with separatists in the north-eastern region of Catalonia.
Sanchez’s government broke off negotiations with the Catalan separatists on Friday, when Vice President Carmen Calvo said the separatists wouldn’t budge from their demand for an independence referendum.

Blackface Virginia Governor calls on his disgraced number two to resign if rape allegations are true
Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam said if the rape allegations against his lieutenant governor are true, then Justin Fairfax should resign his office.
Northam, who is staying in the gubernatorial mansion after his own blackface photo scandal rocked the state, said Fairfax should go.
'If these accusations are determined to be true, I don't think he's going to have any other option but to resign,' he told CBS News.

Kamala Harris Lawyer on the Board of Group Leading $30M Voting Effort for 2020
Priorities USA to 'expand voter rights' with litigation challenges
The top campaign lawyer for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.) sits on the board of one of the largest liberal groups undertaking a massive $30 million effort to "expand voter rights" leading up to the 2020 elections.
Priorities USA Action, a Washington, D.C.-based group that threw its weight behind Hillary Clinton throughout the 2016 presidential cycle, announced that it will put tens of millions of dollars behind an effort to "fight Republican-backed laws that restrict ballot access," the Associated Press reports.
Guy Cecil, chairman of Priorities USA, told the AP that most of the money will go towards litigation and that the group will begin its efforts by focusing on Texas and Georgia. "We will look at where is the biggest harm being done and where our work can have the most impact," Cecil said.
Marc Elias, a partner at the D.C. office of the Perkins Coie law firm who acted as Clinton's top campaign lawyer, and who is now the top lawyer for the presidential campaign of Kamala Harris, quietly joined the board of Priorities USA's nonprofit arm in early 2017 to help the group lead its voter-related efforts. Elias was brought in as the group began to shift its focus to fighting state-level voter identification laws.
As part of the shift, Priorities absorbed Every Citizen Counts, a nonprofit created by Clinton allies that mobilized African American and Latino voters. The group announced at the time that it would build a national database to "serve as a one-stop inventory for restrictive voting measures" and would share that data with other progressive organizations.

Fact-Checking 3 Claims Stacey Abrams Made in State of the Union Response
Stacey Abrams, the 2018 Democratic candidate for Georgia governor, gave Democrats’ response to President Donald Trump’s State of the Union.
Abrams, who lost the governor’s race in November to Republican Brian Kemp, is viewed as a rising star in the Democratic Party.
Here’s a a look at a few of the facts she stated during her speech.
1. ‘Rigged’ Tax Bill
The liberal Left continue to push their radical agenda against American values. The good news is there is a solution. Find out more >>
Abrams slammed the 2017 tax reform package, known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which slashed corporate and individual tax rates.
“The Republican tax bill rigged the system against working people,” Abrams said in her response. “Rather than bringing back jobs, plants are closing, layoffs are looming, and wages struggle to keep pace with the actual cost of living.”
She continued: “We owe more to the millions of everyday folks who keep our economy running: like truck drivers forced to buy their own rigs, farmers caught in a trade war, small business owners in search of capital, and domestic workers serving without labor protections.”
A July analysis by The Heritage Foundation found that the tax reform law cut taxes for middle-class Americans. The average taxpayer saw a tax cut of $1,400, and the average family with two children got a tax cut of $2,917. Further, Americans in every congressional district got a tax cut.
Also, labor force participation has increased because wage growth is causing Americans who previously dropped out of the job search to look for work.

The Timeline of Elizabeth Warren's Native American Controversy
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) will announce Saturday she's officially running for president with a speech in Lawrence, Massachusetts, but she'll do it after another week of controversy surrounding her longtime claims of Native American ancestry.
The latest blow: The Washington Postreporting Warren wrote "American Indian" as her race for her State Bar of Texas registration card in 1986. It marked the first known example of Warren making such a claim in her own handwriting. She apologized Tuesday in response to the report for identifying herself with that race, both then and when she taught law at Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania.
This followed her widely panned DNA test release in October, which was intended to offset criticisms by President Donald Trump to prove her claims of Native ancestry. She wound up having to apologize to the Cherokee Nation for "causing confusion on tribal sovereignty and tribal citizenship," according to a tribal spokeswoman.
Here's a timeline of key moments and quotes in Warren's saga of claims to Native American ancestry.
1984: Warren contributes five recipes to a "Pow Wow Chow" cookbook in Oklahoma and is identified as "Cherokee" under each of them.
April 18, 1986: Warren lists her race as "American Indian" on her State Bar of Texas registration card. She does so by writing the words out in blue ink.

Green New Deal Guarantees Economic Security for Those 'Unwilling to Work'
Framers of the "Green New Deal" released an overview of their attempt to drastically overhaul the U.S. economy and energy system, which included guaranteeing economic security for those "unwilling to work."
Championed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), the "Green New Deal" is likened to the goal set in the early 1960s by President John F. Kennedy for the U.S. to reach the moon. Its ultimate goal is "meeting 100 percent of the power demand in the United States through clean, renewable, and zero-emission energy sources," and a complete transition away from fossil fuels and nuclear energy sources.
An overview document released Tuesday by Ocasio-Cortez's office, which contains numerous typos, laid out what the Green New Deal sets out to do.
Proposals and promises include "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work." The Free Beacon has more details on the outline of the Democratic proposal here.
Ocasio-Cortez told NPR she had "no problem" saying that such an overhaul would be require "massive government intervention."
"One reason that people are politically conservative are skeptical of efforts to combat climate change is that it sounds to them like it requires massive government intervention, which they just don’t like," host Steve Inskeep asked. "Are you prepared to put on that table that, ‘Yes actually they’re right, what this requires is massive government intervention?'"

Ocasio-Cortez Gaslights 'Green New Deal' - Washington Free Beacon
The office of democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has deleted a supplemental document explaining how to implement her "Green New Deal" that called for a jobs guarantee even for those "unwilling to work" and the elimination of "farting cows" and airplanes.
Robert Hockett, a Cornell law professor and adviser to Ocasio-Cortez, appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News on Friday and claimed Republicans doctored official documents that came directly from the congresswoman's office.
Carlson asked Hockett about the Green New Deal guaranteeing "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work."
"We never would and AOC has never said anything like that," Hockett said. "I think you're referring to some sort of document, some sort of doctored document that someone else has been circulating." (Ocasio-Cortez's chief of staff says the document was part of an early draft that "got leaked." The document was not leaked, but published on Ocasio-Cortez's website.)

The case for Russia collusion … against the Democrats
Now that both the House and Senate investigative committees have cleared Donald Trump of Democrat-inspired allegations of Russian collusion, it is worth revisiting one anecdote that escaped significant attention during the hysteria but continues to have U.S. security implications.
As secretary of State, Hillary Clinton worked with Russian leaders, including Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and then-President Dmitri Medvedev, to create U.S. technology partnerships with Moscow’s version of Silicon Valley, a sprawling high-tech campus known as Skolkovo.
Clinton’s handprint was everywhere on the 2009-2010 project, the tip of a diplomatic spear to reboot U.S.-Russian relations after years of hostility prompted by Vladimir Putin’s military action against the former Soviet republic and now U.S. ally, Georgia.
A donor to the Clinton Foundation,Russian oligarch Viktor Vekselberg, led the Russian side of the effort, and several American donors to the Clinton charity got involved. Clinton’s State Department facilitated U.S. companies working with the Russian project, and she personally invited Medvedev to visit Silicon Valley.
The collaboration occurred at the exact same time Bill Clinton made his now infamous trip to Russia to pick up a jaw-dropping $500,000 check for a single speech.
The former president’s trip secretly raised eyebrows inside his wife’s State Department, internal emails show.

Trump: Dems ‘Want A Gov’t Shutdown’ To Pivot From Their ‘Very Bad Week’
‘I actually believe they want a Shutdown. They want a new subject!’ says president
The Democrats actually want a government shutdown to change the subject from their slew of scandals in Virginia, President Trump claimed Sunday.
“It was a very bad week for the Democrats, with the GREAT economic numbers, TheVirginia disaster and the State of the Union address,” Trump tweeted. “Now, with the terrible offers being made by them to the Border Committee, I actually believe they want a Shutdown. They want a new subject!”
The president also pointed out that the Democrat leadership is likely preventing their party at-large from negotiating sensibly on border security.
“I don’t think the Dems on the Border Committee are being allowed by their leaders to make a deal. They are offering very little money for the desperately needed Border Wall & now, out of the blue, want a cap on convicted violent felons to be held in detention!”

Trump weighs in on Virginia scandals with claim blacks are 'very angry at the double standard'
President Donald Trump on Sunday weighed in on the political scandal consuming Virginia by saying African Americans are 'very angry at the double standard' there.
The president did not elaborate on what he meant by a double standard.
'African Americans are very angry at the double standard on full display in Virginia!,' he wrote on Twitter.
The state has been consumed by bomb shell after bomb shell involving Virginia's three top Democrats embroiled in potentially career-ending scandals: their governor who was caught in a blackface scandal, their African American lieutenant governor who was accused of sexual assault and their state attorney general also revealed to have worn black face.

Virginia: When Identity Groups Collide
For decades, lacking a coherent and acceptable broad-based platform, the Democrats have cobbled together their victories by playing the identity politics game. Reaching out to different groups, playing on their sense of victimization and oppression, dissolving the very bonds of civic cohesion, and pretending to a savior role for each group. Of course, if people thought about it, no one is less oppressed than a modern-day American, and the special interests and pleadings of these disparate groups often collide and conflict, but that seemingly passes beyond their ken or notice. This week, in contrast to the unifying State of the Union address by the President which was coherent, consistent, and uplifting, the three top officials in Virginia -- all Democrats -- are engaged in a bloody battle which looks to disunite the Democratic women from the black voters of the state. It’s not helping the media either, especially not the Washington Post, owned by Jeff Bezos himself, embroiled in a marital scandal and fight with David Pecker, the owner of the National Enquirer. (Who can beat the NY Post’s front page on Friday “Bezos Exposes Pecker”?)
The imbroglio in Virginia has inspired lots of humorous digs on the right, not the least of which is the rewriting of the motto “Virginia is for Lovers” into “Virginia is for Losers” as indeed the party is now a laughingstock with no good way out of the dilemma.

While Virginia Democrat Justin Fairfax Is Embroiled In #MeToo Controversy, Where Are The Women’s Marchers?
Virginia Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax is embroiled in a #Metoo controversy and now a second woman has come forward who is accusing him of rape.
We can’t ignore how the #Metoo allegations against Justice Brett Kavanaugh were handled compared to the allegations against Fairfax — the hypocrisy is stunning.
Initially Democrats were very silent about the accusations against Fairfax when they first surfaced.
Some claimed they didn’t know about Fairfax’s #Metoo controversy, while others dodged questions regarding the matter when asked about it by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Henry Rodgers.

Ocasio-Cortez: Latinos Can't Be Illegals Because They're 'Descendants of Native People'
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.) on Thursday criticized U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement and argued in support of undocumented Latinos in the United States, saying the latter cannot be "criminalized" on "Native" U.S. land because they are "descendants of Native people."
The self-described Democratic socialist spoke on Thursday alongside several liberal groups, including MoveOn and United We Dream, a pro-immigration group that calls for ICE to be abolished. She repeatedly slammed ICE, claiming it "repeatedly and systematically violates human rights."
"They do not deserve a dime until they can prove that they are honoring human rights, until they can make a good faith effort to expand and embrace immigrants … Until they can prove good faith to an American ideal, they do not deserve any resources for their radical agenda. We have to have respect for children, respect for families, respect for human rights, and respect for the right of human mobility," Ocasio-Cortez said of the agency tasked with enforcing U.S. immigration laws.
The freshman congresswoman went on to suggest ICE has not given due respect to those who enter the country illegally. The United Sates must "respect for the right of human mobility," she said before adding, "because it is a right."

Dems Reject Proposal Blocking Raises for Fed Workers Guilty of Sexual Misconduct
Vote was chaired by Democrat Tony Cardenas, who is accused of drugging teenage girl
House Democrats on Wednesday rejected a Republican proposal to add a provision that would block federal employees who were disciplined for sexual misconduct to receive the same pay raise as the rest of their colleagues.
Republicans attempted to add the provision to legislation proposed by Democrats to give federal workers a 2.6 percent raise. The Republican proposal was to simply stipulate that workers disciplined for sexual misconduct be exempt from the raise.
"During calendar year 2019, no increase in pay as authorized under this Act may be provided to any Federal employee who has been disciplined for sexual misconduct under chapter 75 of title 5, United States Code, or any other provision of law," read the Republican proposal.
Despite receiving support from 17 Democrats, the proposal was rejected in a 216-206 vote.
A spokesperson for House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) slammed the bill ahead of the vote to adopt the amendment on sexual misconduct.
"As Washington Democrats continue their ill-advised push for unilateral pay raises for federal employees, regardless of their performance, Republicans continue to ask Democrats to amend their legislation," said Erin Perrine. "Currently this bill treats victims the same as their harassers. That makes no sense."

Hayward: ‘Moderate’ Democrats Put On a Green New Deal Kabuki Show
Conventional wisdom holds that relatively moderate, or at least politically savvy, leaders in the Democrat Party are horrified by the rollout of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi put AOC in her place when she “threw shade” at the program (as CNN put it) by sniffing disdainfully that “nobody knows what it is.”
Do not believe this kabuki theater for an instant. The Green New Deal (GND) holds all the power Pelosi and Democrat peers have dreamed about seizing for their entire lives. They will take as much of it as they can get.
For one thing, consider Pelosi’s entire shade-throwing quote: “It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive. The green dream, or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it, right?”
Does anyone remember the last gigantic power grab Pelosi claimed to know very little about? It was called the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. Obamacare. Pelosi infamously chirped that Congress would have to pass the bill so Americans could “find out what’s in it.”
To put it mildly, she does not have a problem with poorly crafted legislation, as long as it has soaring left-wing ambitions.

Ellen Page Attacks Chris Pratt for His ‘Infamously Anti-LGBTQ Church’
Canadian actress Ellen Page reacted to reports of Chris Pratt’s “Daniel Fast” by accusing the actor of attending an “infamously anti-LGBTQ church.”
As Breitbart News reported, Jurassic World star Chris Pratt promoted the biblically based “Daniel Fast” on the Late Show Thursday, telling host Stephen Colbert that the 21-day diet was like his church’s “Lent.”
“I was inspired by my pastor to do it,” Pratt said.” It’s kind of like our Lent, you know, you give something up.”
Pratt attends Los Angeles’ Zoe Church, whose pastor, Chad Veach, said he had modeled after “Hillsong,” an LA-based Australian transplant church. Hillsong’s pastor Brian Houston has called his church “a gay welcoming church but we are not a church that affirms a gay lifestyle.”

Ocasio-Cortez Doubles Down On 'Free-Money For Lazy People' FAQ Debacle
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has inserted her foot squarely in her mouth as her "Green New Deal" PR nightmare continues.
After removing an embarrassing FAQ from her website which failed to match the environmental legislation package she introduced on Thursday, one of her advisers went on Fox News' Tucker Carlson Tonight and lied about it.
The now-deleted version of the FAQ originally uploaded by AOC's office contained an absurd provision for "economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work," a phrase which AOC adviser Robert Hockett - a Cornell law professor, claimed came from a "doctored document."
"I think you’re referring to some sort of document that some, I think some doctored document that somebody other than us has been circulating," said Hockett in response to Carlson's question about the "unwilling to work" statement.
"Oh, I thought that came right from her, that was in the backgrounder from her office, is my understanding," Carlson replied.
"No, no. She’s actually tweeted it out to laugh at it. If you look at her latest tweets, it seems that apparently, some Republicans have put it out there."

Antifa activist facing assault charges was tied to Democratic policymakers
What a difference a year made for Joseph Alcoff.
On Monday, the 37-year-old has a court date in connection with charges he’s facing in Philadelphia that include aggravated assault and ethnic intimidation for allegedly being part of an Antifa mob in November that attacked two Marines, Alejandro Godinez and Luis Torres, both Hispanic. Alcoff and two others charged in the attack have pleaded not guilty.
But while Democratic officials are distancing themselves from Alcoff now, until recently he was a well-connected, aspiring political player in Washington who may have even had a hand in key policy proposals.
His endorsement apparently mattered when several congressional Democrats in February 2018 issued press releases with his quote backing their bill on regulating payday lenders.
As the payday campaign manager for the liberal group Americans for Financial Reform, Alcoff participated in congressional Democratic press conferences, was a guest on a House Democratic podcast and met with senior officials at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from 2016 through 2018.

None Dare Call it a Hoax: The Jussie Smollett Saga Continues
The bizarre case of Jussie Smollett continues to unfold with the police still investigating what Smollett insists was a "hate crime."
Smollett tells the story of walking down the street in sub-zero temperatures and being attacked by two men wearing MAGA hats and screaming racial and homophobic slurs at him. Was this a hate crime?
Maybe it was. And then, maybe he wasn't attacked at all.
The incident occurred in Chicago, a city torn by racial strife and massive distrust of the police. John Ziegler of Mediaite writes of how the investigation is unfolding:
Among other things, the police have made it very clear they have not yet found any proof of an attack, despite having almost all of Smollett’s movements on surveillance video. They have disclosed that Smollett would not give over his cell phone to verify his timeline of events. They even published photos of “persons of interest” that they had to know were going to be universally mocked for being obviously irrelevant.
In my view, none of those important revelations would have been made public in the way that they were, unless there was extreme suspicion within the police force that Smollett’s story was not fully accurate.
In truth, the Chicago police are terrified of even hinting they doubt Smollett's story. There is no major city in the U.S. where the cops are more distrusted by blacks than in Chicago. The police risk a riot if they let it be known they think Smollett is trying to hoax them.

Man Who Advocated Killing Babies And Wore Blackface Now Says 'No Better Person' Than A Doctor To Heal Virginia
Ralph "The Rat" Northam, the disgraced Virginia Democratic governor who nearly moonwalked at a press conference while supposedly showing his sincere apology for misremembering either dressing as a Ku Klux Klan member and when exactly he painted his face to impersonate a black person, has now officially declared he is not going to step down from office despite nearly the entire country asking him to do so.
Shortly after Caleb Hull "exposed" Gov. Northam saying it would be legal to kill a baby born alive if that is what the mother wanted, a 1984 medical yearbook photo surfaced from Northam's own yearbook page showing two individuals in blackface and a KKK costume. The governor first apologized for the photo, then retracted that apology saying it was not him in the photo and he confused it with the other time he wore blackface for a Michael Jackson contest in 1984, promised to watch "Roots" to educate himself, and has thus far refused to resign.
Today, Gov. Northam sat down with CBS 'This Morning' to discuss the current quagmire his administration finds itself forced to deal with. On top of Gov. Northam's problems, Virginia's Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax has sexual assault allegations which has garnered calls for his own resignation and the Attorney General Mark Herring admitted to blackface as well.

Virginia Governor Reeling From Blackface Scandal Refers To Slaves As "Indentured Servants"
Fresh on the heels of a poll that found a majority of black Virginians think Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam should remain in office, the governor, who is still reeling from the fallout of a blackface scandal (albeit a scandal that has been somewhat overshadowed by several credible allegations of sexual assault against his lieutenant governor), is apparently determined to change their minds.
During an interview Sunday with CBS This Morning's Gayle King, Northam committed a gaffe that, considering his current circumstances, is bound to leave his few remaining defenders slackjawed in disbelief. While explaining to King why he felt he should finish out the remaining three years of his term (while pursuing an agenda of racial equality), Northam casually referred to the slaves who once populated the former confederate state as "indentured servants."
The remarks has already provoked reactions of shock and disbelief that Northam could say something so insensitive during a nationally broadcast TV interview at a time when seemingly every politician in his state has been accused of overt racism

Gallup: FIVE MILLION Latin Americans Coming to U.S. in Next 12 Months
Five million Latin Americans plan to migrate to the United States in the next 12 months, and an estimated 42 million more say they want to enter the country.
Those statistics were in a report from Jim Clifton, the chairman and CEO at Gallup:
Forty-two million seekers of citizenship or asylum are watching to determine exactly when and how is the best time to make the move. This suggests that open borders could potentially attract 42 million Latin Americans. A full 5 million who are planning to move in the next 12 months say they are moving to the U.S.
The poll came as Democrats began using their new political clout to try to widen the catch-and-release loopholes in President Donald Trump’s border defenses.

Donald Trump Mocks Democrats’ Embrace of ‘Green New Deal’: ‘Brilliant!’
President Donald Trump has mocked Democrats’ new radical policy, the “Green New Deal,” which calls for the elimination of fossil fuels in a decade, plus guaranteed income for all Americans “unwilling” to work.
The plan, introduced by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Thursday, quickly gained the endorsement and co-sponsorship of several major presidential candidates, as well as eleven Senators and 67 House Representatives.
Republicans are thrilled at the prospect of their rivals embracing a policy that promises to wipe out massive portions of the American economy, and the president is no exception.
Trump tweeted on Saturday evening: “I think it is very important for the Democrats to press forward with their Green New Deal. It would be great for the so-called “Carbon Footprint” to permanently eliminate all Planes, Cars, Cows, Oil, Gas & the Military – even if no other country would do the same. Brilliant!”

Northam, Fairfax Vow Not to Resign
Embattled Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D), who is dealing with a blackface controversy, and Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax (D), who has been accused of sexual assault by two women, are vowing not to resign.
Northam reportedly told his Cabinet on Friday that he has no plans to resign and on Saturday told the Washington Post that he is planning a “reconciliation tour” that he will use to, according to the outlet, “engage in conversations about race and healing.”
“It’s obvious from what happened this week that we still have a lot of work to do. There are still some very deep wounds in Virginia, and especially in the area of equity,” Northam reportedly said. “There are ongoing inequities to access to things like education, health care, mortgages, capital, entrepreneurship. And so this has been a real, I think, an awakening for Virginia. It has really raised the level of awareness for racial issues in Virginia. And so we’re ready to learn from our mistakes.”

Rep. Meadows: Dems Aren't 'Serious' About Border Security
Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., on Sunday lashed out at congressional Democrats for not being “serious” about border security, charging they’ve ignored the best advice from experts on the issue.
In an interview on CBS News’ "Face The Nation," the head of the House Freedom Caucus said the experts are the ones who best know where money is needed.
“I think what Democrats are trying to do is say, ‘you can spend it here, you can't spend it there.’ Really the experts should decide how we spend it,” he said.
“Border Patrol came in to brief the conference. They gave their top-three priorities. And the conferees have said ‘zero money for those top three priorities,’” he added.

Charter School Metropolis Now Seeks a Moratorium on Charter Growth
The Los Angeles Board of Education voted 5-1 on Jan. 29 on a resolution to temporarily halt charter school growth after negotiations were reached with the teachers union.
The resolution seeks state approval of a moratorium on charter schools in Los Angeles Unified School District for eight to 10 months to allow for an impact study on the financial effects charter schools have on traditional public schools. In California, only the state can sanction such a request.
Los Angeles is home to 224 independent charter schools, holding more charter schools than anywhere else in the country. These schools are publicly funded, but privately managed.
While county officials will move forward with urging state officials to pass the moratorium, parents whose children are benefiting from charter schools were reportedly left out of the discussion.
The vote for the moratorium followed the ratification of a contract between the board and United Teachers Los Angeles, ending a six-day teachers strike.
The contract includes a 6 percent pay raise for public school teachers, a reduction of class sizes, and more hiring of librarians, nurses, and counselors. The agreement also includes “social unionism” commitments, described as “bargaining for the common good” of the broader community.
