Tony Snow, RIP

Former White House Press Secretary Tony Snow has passed away at the age of 53. Snow passed away after a long, well publicized, and optimistic battle with colon cancer - the same disease that claimed his mother when he was a teenager. Tony Snow was a great writer, commentator, and servant of both his country and the conservative movement.

I first met Snow when he was the editorial page editor of the Daily Press in Newport News, Virginia. While his previous writing showed his conservatism, he would often frustrate us by not allowing his personal philosophy to dictate the op-ed policies of his paper. We learned to respect Snow for refusing to do the same thing that we accused the liberal media of doing.

I am sure that those who Tony well will miss him greatly. Our prayers go out to his family.

Bush, McCain & Obama To Visit Bohemian Grove?

Just when we thought it couldn't get any wierder.... I couldn't embed the video that went along with this article so I am going to post it seperately.

Outgoing President George W. Bush and both of his presumptive replacements John McCain and Barack Obama are rumored to be in attendance at this year’s Bohemian Grove gathering, an annual get-together of the global elite staged inside a sprawling forest encampment which kicks off tonight and runs until July 27.

Bohemian Grove is a 136-year-old all-male encampment complete with restaurants, bars, stages and lodges, which caters to around 2,000 members of the global elite along with Californian hoi polloi on a yearly basis in July. The camp is set within a 2,700 acre secluded forest replete with giant redwood trees.

Former attendees include Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, who both went on to become President, as well as regulars like Henry Kissinger, Alan Greenspan, David Rockefeller, Colin Powell, as well as George W. Bush and his father.

In 2000 radio host and film maker Alex Jones infiltrated the gathering and caught exclusive video footage of a bizarre mock human sacrifice ritual, known as “the cremation of care”, under a 40 foot stone owl that the members refer to as Molech.

Attendees dress up like Klan members in hooded robes and perform druidic pagan ceremonies to mark the spectacular finale of the event.

In 2004, The New York Post reported that top gay porn star Chad Savage was hired by the Grove to “service” its members during the event and “attend to their every need”.

“When they’re not listening to policy speeches, “Bohos” are known to urinate freely in the redwoods and perform mock-druidic rituals that revolve around a 40-foot-tall stone owl. In one ritual, called “Cremation of Care,” members wearing red-hooded robes cremate a coffin effigy of “Dull Care” at the base of the owl altar,” the report stated

Alex Jones discusses the shocking footage he obtained during his 2000 infiltration of the Grove.

Homosexual orgies are known to be part of the festivities enjoyed by the predominately “Christian conservative” leaders who go there. Former attendee Richard Nixon once referred to the Grove as, “the most faggy goddamned thing you could ever imagine.”

A reader who got a summer job working at the Grove in 2005, Chris Jones, told us that he was regularly propositioned for sex by the old men attending the encampment and asked if he “slept around” and wanted to have some fun.

Jones was later sentenced to three years in jail by California authorities for simply showing a tape of his visit to minors.

However, the media’s attitude to hundreds of powerbrokers attending an event at which the Manhattan Project was known to have been born, while frolicking around dressed up as women pissing up trees and having gay sex, has been sophomoric to say the least.

One such hit piece in the Sacramento News & Review, which ties the Grove as well as public organizations such as the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission with shape-shifting reptoid conspiracies, is useful for only one piece of information - the claim that Presidential hopeful John McCain may be attending this year’s gathering.

In addition, according to an Arizona Daily Star report about a different subject, President Bush’s schedule for next week has not been released, meaning Bush, a regular attendee with his father to Bohemian Grove in past years, could be set to make a visit at some point to mark the last year of his presidency.

Tellingly, both McCain and Democratic candidate Barack Obama will be in California from Saturday to Tuesday, during which time both candidates are scheduled to speak at the National Council of La Raza, a racist Mexican separatist group that advocates a violent overthrow of the southwestern U.S. states.

Their schedule puts them in the perfect location to enjoy a night at the Grove this weekend.

Two years ago we were able to accurately surmise then British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s visit to the Grove, which coincided with a visit to San Francisco where he met with powerbrokers.

Thus far, there has only been one other mainstream report concerning the event, an article entitled Power brokers due at Bohemian Grove, appearing in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, a local paper that routinely covers the gathering.

“Critics, who until recent years mounted protests outside its gates, say the gatherings serve as strategy sessions for a New World Order operating outside democratic institutions,” states the article.

“Most critics raise the specter of national policy with global implications coming from behind the gates of an exclusive, closed-door gathering of largely conservative, wealthy white men.”

Honey Day Was Huge Success!

Out of 3 honey boxes with 9 honey frames each (not all had honey) I was able to harvest 5 gallons of honey from the one established hive!

This great news, as last year I only got about a gallon from the same hive.

I didn't rob the new colony as I am letting them get established and let the Queen lay lots of worker brood to collect honey for the hive.

Remember every third bite that you eat comes from a Bee.

If you can and are interested in beekeeping please go buy the equipment and establish a hive.
If you care about your fellow man and yourself and your ability to continue to eat but don't want to personally keep bees; then sponsor a beekeeper.

Two Years ago 50% of the Honey Bee's Worldwide Dissapeared. Last year they are estimating about a 30% loss.

Each and every one of us has to do something to find a way to save the Bees, so please support your local beekeeper.

You can even buy a hive and give it to a beekeeper, they will take care of the bees and work them, and then they will give you 1/2 of the honey from it as an incentive to help.

Albert Einstein said that if the Bees ever dissapeared, mankind would only have approximately 5 years left.

Do your part!
Don't buy hybrid flowers and vegetables.
Don't use pesticides.
Plant lots of Sunflowers and open pollinated vegetables and fruits and let the clover spread through your lawn!
All of this will feed the bee's

Handgun Safety?

"Joe,

I stumbled onto your blog about three months ago and absolutely love it. I check it out everyday to keep up with what's going on in the Salisbury area. What is concerning and worrying me the most is the crime in and around Salisbury. I have never owned or shot a gun in my life but am now very seriously considering and probably will buy a handgun, which brings me to my question for you. Where in this area can I take some kind of course on hangun safety, a good course? I have found that the police department offers a free safety course but it offers just enough information to legally obtain a handgun in Maryland, but since I have never shot a gun I want a good and thorough course. Thank You for your website for without it I wouldn't have had any idea how bad crime has gotten in Salisbury."

OK, who can answer their question?

WICOMICO COUNTY LIQUOR CONTROL BOARD MEMBERS SALARIES

Earlier in the week there was a post regarding Wicomico County Liquor Control Board Salaries:

The posted comment read like this:

Again, more misinformation. The Board Chair(Haemel) makes $3,500 per year and the other two members make $2,750 per year for their work. So obviously, they aren't in it for the money. The Govenor appointed them to do a job for the good of Wicomico Co. so they are doing it, without much real compensation and with a lot of slander from their fellow citizens. And unlike the Council, they cannot vote themselves a pay raise.

You know SBYnews always try to stay on top of the latest and greatest.

Well here you go. . . this will make for a good posting. . .it is the new salaries for Board Chairman - Stu Haemel, and other Liquor Board members including Allesi as authorized by Governor O'Malley:

http://mlis.state.md.us/2007RS/veto_letters/hb0112.pdf

It is interesting to see the Delegates who signed on to increasing the salaries to HB 112 - (http://mlis.state.md.us/2007RS/billfile/hb0112.htm).

If Haemel and Allesi are moonlighting - using the Liquor Dispensary treasurey - to their own financial benefit . . it is improper and ought not be allowed.

In light of the facts this system should be brought immediately to a public referendum. And in light of the authorities who issued the raises. . . I'm quite sure they'll concur when the public catches wind of their salary increases.

Quote of the Day...Today You Get Two! Read, Chew, Repeat

"The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own"

"The worst sin toward our fellow creatures is not to hate them, but to be indifferent to them: that's the essence of inhumanity" ~ George Bernard Shaw

If Andy Harris Is So Liberal ...

... why did the Maryland Taxpayers' Association name Andy the MTA Legislator of the Decade? Liberals like Andy are such friends of the taxpayer, don't you know!

On Friday I read with amusement how Bill Duvall and his compadres over at Pro-Maryland Gazette are trying to paint Andy as some kind of liberal.

These ridiculous claims are based on some ranking put forth by a group called "Progressive Maryland". This ranking is based on a few votes in the General Assembly. Since the bill numbers aren't given, I can't figure out exactly what these guys are talking about.

It doesn't matter. To quote the great Duvall:
It is true that we do not know the issues or votes that the moonbats used to compile their scorecard ...
Since Joe Albero likes Andy Harris, Harris somehow doesn't fit their idea of what a conservative is. Personally, I don't care who likes Andy Harris as long as he's elected to Congress. I'll take his political philosophy (for starters, Andy actually has one and its conservative to boot!) over Frank Kratovil's (who doesn't really have one) or Bill Duvall's (which changes with whoever he's pissed at that moment) any day of the week.

I sincerely hope that Albero isn't a church-goer. Duvall and his pals will start hating Jesus!
