Last night a group of teachers confronted County Executive Bob Culver demanding more money. So get this. One MATH Teacher stated that beginner teachers get $60,000.00 a year in Anne Arundel County while beginner teachers only get $43,000.00 a year in Wicomico County. She went on to say Wicomico County only gets HALF of what Anne Arundel County gets! IDIOT ALERT!!!
It always seems strange to me how the BOE treats every County Executive like CRAP until it comes to budget time. While those Idiots are out spending tens of thousands of dollars on gift cards, (until they were caught by SBYNews), signing multi decade leases outside county owned properties supporting the Good Ol' Boys, now they want more money and act like Culver is the Anti Christ.
Let us make this at a Special Education level for you Teachers. THERE IS NO MONEY! You pissed it all away. Now you want Culver to raise taxes so you can live the lives of those Teachers in Anne Arundel County. Well, guess what, I'M FROM Anne Arundel County and the cost of living, (accurately) is more than twice what Wicomico County is. A $150,000.00 home here is easily a $300,000.00 home there. $1,000.00 property taxes here are at least $3,000.00 there. Shall I go on?
Executive Culver has always had the backs of the taxpayers and will NOT raise taxes. The BOE is already more than 50% of the entire County Budget. Go out and sell some cookies OR move to Anne Arundel County and I'm confident we can find PLENTY of Teachers who are in it for all the right reasons (not money) to replace each and every one of you. Enough Is Enough! Thank you Executive Culver!

Scientific American: 'Why Are White Men Stockpiling Guns?' Because They’re Uneducated Racists?
Scientific American continues on its activist leftward path, diluting its scientific brand by transmitting biased anti-gun propaganda under the cover of academic sociology.
The latest entry was posted Wednesday and has become a popular post:“Why Are White Men Stockpiling Guns? — Research suggests it’s largely because they’re anxious about their ability to protect their families, insecure about their place in the job market and beset by racial fears.”
If that headline wasn’t a giveaway, writer Jeremy Adam Smith’s bio left little hope for an objective take: “….author or co-editor of four books, including The Compassionate Instinct and Are We Born Racist?”

Joe,
Sorry, weird stuff!
As a military jet flew by, my neighbor was starting her car.
as it started, the dash flashed, the stereo showed a rainbow on the screen all her power car windows went down, including the ones that were electronic child locked, and the power sunroof opened.
I know you can find out "news" that didn't happen, according to broadcast media.

My odd experiences.
For 2 Fridays in a row, driving eastbound on route 90 @ approx. 9:30 pm,, my gas guage dropped to empty for a few seconds, and then returned to normal.
I hope this cleared it up, I know its weird, but with all that's happening in the world... sometimes I wonder.

Yesterday I put up my stats and multiple nasty comments came in trying to attack me for bragging. Hey nay sayers, (WBOC, WMDT, DT's & EBT) guess what, I'm still bragging!

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office Was Called In Eighty One Times Where 25 Horses Were Found Dead
I personally believe as the video we recently linked to on this matter will bring to light just how often they have been called out to this property. Many will say the Sheriff's Department also neglected to fulfill their duties to protect these animals. It should also be noted, (yet not mentioned) that this woman had a court order in which she was denied being allowed any more cats on this property, yet they found tons of cats there. She violated her probation, yet no charges have been filed to date.
Californians in mass exodus to lower cost states to escape high tax
A growing number of Californians are leaving the state to go to lower-cost states such as Arizona, Texas and Nevada, figures show.
They are doing so to escape the state's housing crunch and high taxes, Census Bureau data shows.
The figures show that California lost just over 138,000 people to domestic migration in the 12 months ended in July 2017 - with even better off middle class residents making the move.

Hillary Clinton says Ivanka Trump will never become president
Hillary Clinton says Ivanka Trump will never become president because Americans have already run out of patience with her father.
'That's not going to happen, the failed presidential candidate said in an interview with the Dutch public TV station KRO-NCRV.
'We don't want any more inexperienced Trumps in the White House.'
Clinton said she didn't know who the first female president would be, but pledged that 'I'm going to be there cheering her on – assuming I agree with her.'
Program host Eva Jinek, who said she has kept a cheerful photo of Bill and Hillary Clinton with her in every dorm room, apartment and home she's ever lived in, warned her that the 2016 election is proof unexpected things can happen in American politics.

A Viewer Writes: School Safety
Joe,
I tried to get these points as a response to one of your articles and it would not allow me to submit it. This is not the first time.
I sent this to our Eastern Shore Republican Delegation along with Miller and Busch. This is real school safety / security.
I am expressing my concerns about school safety. Gun control / restrictions on weapons and accessories is not the answer. Why do I not here of proposals for long lasting solutions for school safety / security.
As a Retired Correctional Officer I have yet to understand why security measures from the Correctional System has never been proposed instead of ignored. What I hear is not / never school security / safety. Following procedures are examples of school safety / security:
1) Electronic doors dividing schools into sectors
2) Security at all outside entrances into the buildings
3) Security cameras in all areas including classrooms monitored by a Resource Office
4) Panic buttons in all areas including classrooms that would seal all outside doors and all sectors
5) Override in Main Office for complete system with a code
6) When system is activated it will also contact Police, EMS and other 1st responders automatically
There should be a savings in manpower for Resource Officers per year, since Resource Officers will have to be increased to at least 2-3 per school per day as it stands now for increased security. The cost alone would be a savings after the initial installation.
Politians need to get off the gun control and think about real security and school safety. These ideas need to be investigated so it will, I hope, be presented so Politians will understand this is real school safety / security and not gun control.
Quit attempting to punish law abiding citizens / gun owners. Common sense needs to be used.

Homeschooling: The Best Hope for America's Future
A 7-year-old in second grade came home and said, "Mom, Dad, guess what! Our teacher read us the funniest book. It was so silly. It was about a prince who was getting married, but he didn't marry a princess. He married a prince! Isn't that so silly, Mom?" The book read to the confused child to introduce 7-year-olds to same-sex "marriage" is King and King by Linda de Haan.
Without parental knowledge or consent, 5-year-old Jacob, entering kindergarten, came home with a "diversity bookbag." Inside was a book introducing kindergartners to same-sex households, celebrating Clifford and her dad's "partner," Henry – selling homosexuality to 5-year-olds disguised as diversity. The book is Who's in a Family by Robert Skutch.
Folks, if my public school arrogantly usurped such authority when I was a kid, my stocky little-over-five-foot black mom would have been outraged. She'd march to my school and angrily confront the principal: "Who do you people think you are? How dare you take such liberty with my nine months?"
Please correct me if I am wrong. But all I see is parents passively allowing leftists to mold and shape students into their image. God commanded parents: "Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Where is the outrage over government usurping authority to dictate the morals, principles, and values instilled in your child, overruling God-ordained parental authority?

Abortionist: I Cut the Vocal Cord So The Baby Can't Scream
Dr. Leah Torres, an OB/GYN in Salt Lake City, Utah, said that when she performs certain abortions she cuts the vocal cord of the baby so "there's really no opportunity" for the child to scream.
She also described herself as a "uterus ripper outer" because she performs hysterectomies.
Torres made her disturbing comments on Twitter on March 11, in response to a question.
As the tweets show, @ZarbaNotZorba asked Torres about the aborted babies: "Do you hear their heartbeats when you lay down at night? Do you hear their screams?"
Torres replied, "No. You know fetuses can't scream, right? I transect the cord 1st so there's really no opportunity, if they're even far enough along to have a larynx."

MD High School Shooter Used Handgun He Was Prohibited from Purchasing
When 17-year-old Austin Wyatt Rollins opened fire in Maryland’s Great Mills High School, he did so with a firearm he was prohibited from purchasing.
Investigators are now trying to ascertain how Rollins acquired the gun.
The NRA-ILA lists gun laws by state, and that list shows that Maryland law requires the purchaser of a handgun to be 21 years of age. (Federal law also requires that handgun purchasers be 21 years of age.)

Investigation into condition of horses on a farm in the 5600 block of Cherry Walk Road, Hebron, Maryland
As the State’s Attorney for Wicomico County, I hold my oath to protect the citizens and residents of this county sacred. This includes protecting our animals from neglect and abuse.
Because of the disturbing events regarding the Pilchard farm, which were reported on Friday, March 16, 2018, my Office began its work in close cooperation with the efforts of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, the Wicomico County Humane Society, Animal Control, animal welfare groups and concerned citizens. A complete investigation is being conducted in order to understand what happened.
Given the large number of horses, the necessary forensic testing and rehabilitation, the community is asked for its patience. While we wait for the hard work of the investigators and experts to be completed, I encourage the community to reach out and express sympathy through volunteerism and acts of charity to all those affected.
While I cannot comment on the specifics of this matter, please know that the story of these horses will be told. It is the right thing to do to care for animals, and the welfare of the horses is the number one priority. We will all have to wait for all of the facts to be known, and then justice will be done.
Your State’s Attorney,
Jaime L. Dykes
A Viewer Writes: HB1302-"The Neighborhood Bag Lady Can Take Your Guns" bill
This bill is awful. I mean seriously awful. This allows anyone to go down to District Court, hold up their right hand and swear you are a danger to them, to yourself, or to others, and have your guns seized. The bill allows "any interested person" to take out an order. And that means just what it says. Anyone who is interested in you can get your guns seized. Including stalkers.
Think about it. Estranged relatives, ex-partners and spouses, stalkers, embittered ex-girlfriends and boyfriends, the drunken neighbor you called 911 on when he was beating his wife, the guy you called 911 on and reported for DWI one day in traffic, the employee you fired for stealing, the co-worker you reported for sexual harassment, your druggie relative who you won't give money to, the Facebook troll who despises your online politics and lives in or near Maryland, even the crazy bag lady who hates you because she thinks your cat is stealing her soul when it stares at her from your window, anybody who doesn't like you can get your guns seized. All they have to do is accuse you of threatening them.
Some arguments we will hear for this bill:
1. "Oh they need a preponderance of evidence." Yes, and since the respondent has no right to be notified of or heard during the initial application, the preponderance of evidence will be whatever the accuser says it is.
2. "It has to be sworn under penalty of perjury." Means nothing. As if people care or are intimidated by that. Especially crazy people or veterans of the criminal or civil justice system. It's been shown they don't. And perjury prosecutions won't happen. First off, most of the applications will simply be one person's word against another, and no way to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that anyone lied.
And ask people who say that to name you one, one single prosecution for perjury ever conducted anywhere in this state on any application for an ex-parte in the three decades that we've had them. I'll bet they can't. Even though ex-parte applications are lied on very frequently and used simply as tools in divorce and child support cases. And everyone in the legal system knows it. Heck, you even have attorneys telling their divorce clients to think of "something" they can file an ex-parte on as a bargaining chip.
3. "You can sue people who lie about you and take out one of these." More bullshit. The law specifically grants civil immunity for those who file "in good faith." And when it's one person's word against another, how will you prove it wasn't applied for in good faith.
4. "It's only six days and you can have the guns back if the court doesn't find cause." Bullshit. The law says you "may" have them back after six days. It puts no time constraint requiring police to give them back that fast. It cannot be done that fast. I know. I handled the returns for a police department. It takes a couple of months on average. And if a person has things like another person with a similar name and DOB with a murky criminal history, it can be a lot longer. A lot of criminal histories, especially in the city, are horribly incomplete and sometimes old dispositions can't even be resolved after lengthy hand searches.
This is a bad, bad bill and will require all MD gun owners to walk on eggshells, and not make anyone upset with them for any reason, no matter how justified and legal. Don't report anyone who sexually harasses you at work, don't call the police on anyone even if you have a really important reason, don't make your teenage daughter's stalker mad by taking out a peace order against him. Just hide in the shadows. This bill is a domestic violence criminal's dream.
The bill is in the Senate, First Reading. It needs to be stopped there. Write and call your senators. The spineless Republicans in the House caved on it almost to a man. And our equally vacillating Governor has indicated he will sign it. At a minimum, if it cannot be stopped the "any interested person" clause needs to be taken out and the bill made only to apply to medical practitioners and law enforcement as it was initially intended.

9 Democrat Lawmakers with Ties to Anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan
Washington, DC, lawmaker Trayon White (D-Ward 8) is publicly blaming the Jews for creating the kind of weather conditions that will allow them to “own the cities”; thus, we can again see that anti-Semitism is a serious problem within the Democrat Party — that this hatred is tolerated, most especially, by a national media that do everything in their power to protect their allies on the political left.
Therefore, this seems like a good time to look at all the elected Democrats associated with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a rabid and open anti-Semite.
Just last month, at his annual Saviours’ Day address, Farrakhan gave a speech where he said the following:

Breaking News: Mark Zuckerberg broke his silence on the Cambridge Analytica scandal. He acknowledged mistakes by Facebook and pledged "to protect your data."
The statement was the first time that Mr. Zuckerberg has spoken out since The New York Times reported that Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm that provided voter-targeting services to Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign, improperly obtained data on 50 million Facebook users.
Report: McCabe Says 'If I Go Down I'm Taking Everybody Else With Me'
May explain why Clinton and Obama cronies leveled blistering attacks on Trump over firing
Recently fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said if he faces criminal prosecution, he’s going to take down everyone else involved in FBI and DoJ wrongdoing related to the Hillary Clinton email probe with him, according to reporter Sarah Carter.
“McCabe is worried. And one thing that I did hear is that McCabe has said over and over again, ‘If I go down, I’m taking everybody else with me,'” Carter said on “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday.

Oregon Initiative Requires Gun Owners To Surrender ‘Assault Weapons'
‘This explicitly comes for your guns,’ says congressman
Oregon has submitted a proposal to ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines in a ballot initiative petition meant to prevent mass shootings.
The proposal, called Initiative Petition 42, would require legal gun owners “to surrender or register their assault weapons or face felony charges.”
“The proposal defines an assault weapon as any semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine, and any feature like folding or telescoping stock, or that can accept more than 10 rounds of ammunition,” reported KGW News.
The initiative petition states that “a reduction in the availability of assault weapons and large capacity ammunition magazines will promote the public health and safety of the residents of this state.”

Bravo Michael Smigiel
When I saw that 7 Republicans had broken their oath to uphold the Constitution and joined the Progressive Socialist Democrats of Maryland in their efforts to disarm the citizens of Maryland, I was disheartened that so many had voted to infringe upon my god given right of self-defense. When I went to look up those 7 and saw that they were, in fact, the only 7 out of 141 members of the House of Delegates who upheld their oath to support the Constitution, I was shocked beyond belief because I knew immediately what had happened.
The only reason that Republican leadership would agree to push the caucus to vote to infringe upon the 2nd Amendment is to give the Republican Governor cover to sign the bills into law and to refuse to veto them.
After all, if the Republican delegates did their jobs and voted to uphold the 2nd Amendment Rights of their constituents the Governor would look bad in signing or refusing to veto these bills.
The Republican Delegates made a conscious choice to place politics above principle.
Now they need to justify that decision.
The first bill we were betrayed on is HB-888 which is commonly known as the Bump-Stock Bill. Even the ultra-Progressive Obama administration ruled that Bump Stocks are "a firearm part and [is] not regulated as a firearm under Gun Control Act or the National Firearms Act."
https://slidefire.com/files/BATFE.pdf
So the Republican members of the Maryland House of Delegates have voted to infringe upon their constituents' 2nd Amendment rights more than had the Obama administration!
The second bill we were betrayed on is HB-1302 which is called the Red Flag bill. HB-1302 allows for "Anyone" (see 5-601 (2) (III) not just family, friends, or medical professionals, to report you as dangerous, which includes claiming you had a bar fight (see 5-602 (a) (7) (II) or a DUI, (see 5-602 (a) (7) (IV) or you improperly store your firearms, (see 5-602 (a) (7) (I) and then, using the lowest standard of proof available, "Preponderance of the Evidence", (5-603 (A) (1) you can have your firearms ordered taken from you.
Our elected Republican Delegates, who all claim to be pro 2A and brag about their NRA "A" ratings, voted for this blatant invasion of the 2nd Amendment rights of Marylanders.
There is a system in place to take firearms from those deemed to be dangerous. There has been no indication that the current system was unable to be used against any person who later went out and committed a violent act with a firearm.
Instead of choosing the very least intrusive method to strip a citizen of this Constitutional right, and assuring the utmost protection against misuse, our "friends" voted to allow new expanded intrusions into our freedoms.
It is not just these two bills that we have been betrayed on, there are others which have been passed and still others pending.
We expect to be engaged in a fight for our liberty with the Progressive Socialist Democrat machine in Maryland, what we do not expect, and can not tolerate, is this unprecedented betrayal by our so called conservative "friends".
Make no mistake, these votes were a conscious decision to choose giving the Republican Governor cover, since he is not going to veto the bills. The Governor is looking to appease the left, thinking that will garner him enough support to be re-elected.
No matter how much they smile, no matter how much they try to rationalize their actions or tell you what they did was for a greater good, no-one who chose politics over principle deserves to be re-elected this June.
Our elected officials had the hubris to do this because it is widely believed and openly stated that the Maryland 2A community is not a threat to their re-election. We are seen as a valuable asset to claim having the support of but not having enough political clout, to be feared. So our "friends" can make promises during an election year and ignore us after the election.
What should we do now? We need to send a message that we are serious about protecting our rights. It is time to stop talking and act.
Share this article with your friends and ask them to do the same with their friends so we can let everyone know what has happened and why.
Call the Governor's Office and ask that he veto these bills which are unconstitutional infringements on our 2nd Amendment rights.
Spread the word to every legislative district represented by Republicans who voted for these abominations.
Withhold your donations to their campaigns.
Call their offices, let them know they have lost your support.
Write letters to the editor to get the word out.
Greet your Delegates at every public meeting they go to and make sure every person in the room knows how we have been sold out.
There is an election in June. If we are not seen as responsible for replacing some of those, who have shown their allegiance to their party politics is more important than their sacred oath to uphold the Constitution, then this year's history will repeat itself. In which case, we deserve what we get next year.
If you leave a comment, Please tell us your District or County so others in the 2nd Amendment community can reach out to coordinate efforts to replace those who would sell out our freedom for a visit to the Governor's mansion and shrimp on a cracker.

Pecans Fight Heart Disease and Diabetes
Eating just a small handful of pecans a day may protect overweight and obese adults against developing cardiovascular disease and Type 2 diabetes, according to a study published in Nutrients.
Researchers at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University found that incorporating about one-and-a-half ounces of pecans into a typical American diet significantly improved insulin sensitivity and had a marked effect on markers of cardio-metabolic disease in overweight and obese adults with excess belly fat.
While many studies have linked tree nuts, such as pecans, walnuts, and almonds, to a reduced risk of heart disease, this was the first study to look at the effect of pecans on factors specifically related to Type 2 diabetes. Obesity is a risk factor for Type 2 diabetes, and both obesity and diabetes increase the risk for heart disease.
