This Is Immoral

This Year's Winner Of The "World's Ugliest Dog" Contest Is A Good Boy Named Scamp The Tramp

The 2019 winner of the famed World's Ugliest Dog contest was crowned Friday night in California, and he's a dreadlocked former stray/good boy named Scamp the Tramp.

Scamp beat out more than a dozen other ugly (but yet still beautiful) dogs at the competition, which is held every year at the Sonoma-Marin Fair in Petaluma.

His human, Yvonne Morones from Santa Rosa, told BuzzFeed News Scamp's untamable fur reminds her of boxing promoter Don King's legendary hair.

"He has this hair that just kind of stands straight up," she said in a phone interview on Saturday. "His body hair doesn't grow, but instead he's got these dreads that just happen naturally, and the top of his hair is gray. And it just stands straight up."

This New York Man Got Arrested After Defending His Own Home

All too often, advocates of strict gun control promise that more complex and convoluted laws will save lives without imposing a serious burden on the right of law-abiding citizens to exercise their constitutional rights.

Their argument simply doesn’t hold up. Their gun control laws fail not only to address how actual criminals get their firearms, but they also impose a real burden on ordinary citizens’ Second Amendment rights. They even risk making felons out of otherwise law-abiding citizens.

If that sounds like an exaggeration, just look to the case of Ronald Stolarczyk of Oneida County, New York. He’s now facing felony charges for lawfully protecting himself against criminals without first getting the county’s permission to possess a handgun in his home—something that would cost him hundreds of dollars and months of paperwork.

Gallup: More Americans than ever call immigration America’s top problem

Concerns about immigration, and its impact on crime and taxes, have soared to the highest level ever, according to a new survey.

Gallup said that more Americans than ever before cited immigration as their top concern in the latest poll.

“Americans' concern with immigration continues to be heightened, as 23% name it the most important problem facing the country. This is by one percentage point the highest Gallup has ever measured for the issue since it first began recording mentions of immigration in 1993,” said the polling outfit.

Devin Nunes: Court Date for $250 Million Lawsuit Against Twitter for Censoring Conservatives Is Set For End of August

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, went on with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures.

During their discussion Rep. Nunes told Maria the FBI was hiding documents from Congress for two-and-a-half years. Nunes believes US Attorney John Durham will eventually find out who in the FBI was hiding these documents from Congress. The documents will prove the Obama Department of Justice knew the Steele Dossier was a fraud when they used it to spy on the Trump campaign in early 2016.

Rep. Nunes also gave Maria Bartiromo an update on his lawsuit against Twitter. Devin Nunes sued Twitter for $250 million in damages for censoring conservatives back in March.

A Jihad Basis for the Coup

What were the top professionals in intelligence and Hillary's State Dept so afraid of — so mortally afraid that they gambled their careers to block Donald J. Trump?

How did a dozen top FBI and intelligence officials blunder into virtual treason in a time of war?

That is the biggest question today, and we still don't know the whole answer.

But here is a reasonable guess:

Obama executed a huge flip-flop in U.S. policy, one that continued to cover up the 9/11/01 Saudi attack on the U.S., and which also flipped U.S. policy to favor the poisonous mullahs in Iran.

Ruling in Illinois case invalidated state’s Firearms Owner’s Identity card requirement

Up until now, there has been little-to-no national attention paid to a judge’s ruling in White County, Illinois that voided the state’s requirement that firearms owners obtain a state-issued Firearms Owner’s Identity Card (FOID) in order to legally own a firearm kept in the home. The case is no headed for the Illinois Supreme Court, but Second Amendment Civil Rights advocates hope the case will end up before the Supreme Court of the United States.

Greg Bishop of the Illinois Radio Network reports:

Illinois State Rifle Association Executive Director Richard Pearson said the case out of White County involved a disabled woman who had a single-shot .22 caliber rifle.

“The judge in White County said the FOID card is unconstitutional in the home,” Pearson said. “So that’s where we stand today and the state of Illinois doesn’t agree to that.”

Vivian Claudine Brown of Carmi did not have a criminal record and would have been eligible to have a FOID card. On March 18, 2017, Brown’s husband, who she was separated from, alleged Brown was shooting a gun inside, according to court documents. Police found no evidence the rifle had been fired in the residence. However, Brown was later charged with possession of a firearm without the required FOID card, a class A misdemeanor.

“Are you prohibited from having a FOID card? The judge said ‘I don’t think so,’ ” Pearson said. “She didn’t do a thing wrong except wanting to defend her own life.”

The case now bypasses the appellate court because it deals with constitutional issues, Pearson said. If the state Supreme Court agrees with the White County judge's decision, Pearson said it means people could keep a firearm in the home without a FOID card.

'THE Most Important Problem'

Americans' concern with immigration continues to be heightened, as 23% name it the most important problem facing the country. This is by one percentage point the highest Gallup has ever measured for the issue since it first began recording mentions of immigration in 1993.

The June 3-16 poll was conducted as the U.S. continues to grapple with how to handle a surge of Central American immigrants at the U.S.-Mexican border. Gallup has previously found spikes in mentions of immigration as the most important U.S. problem at other times when the immigration debate intensified.

Asked their preferences for U.S. immigration levels, 37% of Americans say it should be kept at its present level, while more say it should be decreased (35%) than increased (27%).

Google Exec: ‘How Do We Prevent It from Happening Again?’

Undercover videos recorded by Project Veritas reveals that Google is determined to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump in 2020, and is altering its products with this aim in mind.

The report includes undercover footage featuring a top Google executive, Jen Gennai, discussing how Google might prevent an electoral outcome like 2016 from happening again.

Here’s what Gennai says in the undercover video:

"We all got screwed over in 2016, again it wasn’t just us, it was, the people got screwed over, the news media got screwed over, like, everybody got screwed over so we’re rapidly been like, happened there and how do we prevent it from happening again.

"We’re also training our algorithms, like, if 2016 happened again, would we have, would the outcome be different?"

Gennai also declares her opposition to Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren’s proposal to break up Google. Why? Because, says Gennai, if Google is broken up it can’t prevent another “Trump situation.”

"Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that."

Gennai also declared that no amount of soft pressure from Congress or the White House will make Google change its ways. In other words, talk won’t help — if politicians want to change Google’s behavior, they’ll have to go beyond committee hearings and actually change the law.

Teachers in the Dark

A majority of teachers are unaware of their newly won right to opt out of union dues, according to a new poll.

In June 2018, the Supreme Court declared that government agencies could no longer mandate union dues or fee payments as a condition of employment in Janus v. American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. Despite the landmark ruling, a majority of American teachers remain ignorant of their ability to decline such payments and are also confused about the consequences of withdrawing from the union. A YouGov poll of 1,000 educators found 77 percent had not heard of the landmark case and 52 percent were unaware that they could continue to work without paying dues or fees.

The poll results reflected the reality on the ground, according to several teachers affiliated with the education reform group Teacher Freedom Project, which commissioned the poll. Greg Kuehn, a special-needs teacher at Minnesota's Park Rapids Area School District, said in a release that many of his colleagues are not knowledgeable about their legal rights.

A Disaster Waiting to Happen’

A growing number of Democrat 2020 candidates are describing former Vice President Joe Biden as a “disaster waiting to happen” if he is chosen to represent Democrats as the front runner in the 2020 presidential election.

Former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-AK), one of the few 2020 candidates who did not go to the South Carolina Democratic Convention this weekend, did not hold back his criticism of Biden while others attending the convention remained more restrained in their remarks.

Gravel called Biden “unchanging, unapologetic, and unaware,” referencing the former vice president’s recent comments on working with segregationist Democrats in the 1970s.

The former Alaska senator also called the former vice president “a disaster” and voiced his desire for a “serious progressive” to take the White House in 2020.

They really counted on Hillary winning, didn't they?

Former director of National Intelligence James Clapper is in panic mode, realizing that the so-called "intelligence community" he supervised under President Obama is about to be revealed by Atty. Gen. William Barr and U.S. atty. John Durham as a weaponized arm of the Clinton campaign, with indictments to follow.

The man who lied to Congress about spying on the American people was shocked back in April to hear Barr testify before Congress that yes, he thought the Trump campaign had been spied upon by his political opponents. As Breitbart reported:

"Well, I thought it was most stunning and scary. I was amazed at that and rather disappointed that the attorney general would say such a thing. The term "spying" has all kinds of negative connotations, and I have to believe he chose that term deliberately. And I think it's incredible that if he has concerns, he would have easily on his first day on the job, after his confirmation, asked his own IG, the Inspector General of the Department of Justice, for a briefing on his preliminary, in the course of his investigation, that is, the IG's investigation, whether there was any wrongdoing by the FBI. I think it would have been far more appropriate for him to just defer to that investigation rather than postulating, apparently with no evidence. He just has a feeling that there was spying against the campaign."

Barr has more than that, it would seem, and has sent chills up Clapper's spine that he and Durham are dead serious about checking out the real reasons for the Intelligence Community's "assessment" that Russia wanted Trump to win and was meddling in the election to achieve that result. According to a Wall Street Journal report:

Kunstler: Democrats Are Race-Hustling Their Way To Election Disaster In 2020

As the first of 12 presidential debates blows in at mid-week like an evil patch of bad summer weather, twenty candidates vie for the position of Ole Massa on the Democratic Party plantation, and the air is gravid with bad vibes.

One highly-favored entry, Mayor Pete (Buttigieg) of charming South Bend, Indiana, stepped into (and tripped over) a big fresh patty of mule poop over the weekend at a “town hall” meeting that was called to address the June 16 shooting of one Eric Logan, 54, by a police officer dispatched to check out “a suspicious individual going through cars” at 2:30 a.m. The officer said the suspect came at him with a knife. The officer failed to switch on his body-cam, or so the police department said. Conclusions were jumped to. Then, in the wee hours just before Mayor Pete’s June 24 town hall, another black man was killed and 10 other people wounded in the shoot-up of a watering hole called Kelly’s Pub.

God knows what that was about — no police were involved in the shoot-up — but Mayor Pete caught the blame for it, of course, and the Sunday town hall meeting turned into a shriek-in by outraged “community” members. He was hardly allowed to admit his failures, issue apologies, and promise to do better. After the ordeal, Mayor Pete struggled to hold in his tears talking to the media. No doubt he will be pressured to keep ‘splainin’ these matters until either his campaign folds up its tent or he is anointed at the national convention in Milwaukee.

THE FED’S ENDLESS BOOM-BUST CYCLE

When people talk about the economy, they generally focus on government policies such as taxation and regulation.

For instance, Republicans credit President Trump’s tax cuts for the seemingly booming economy and surging stock markets. Meanwhile, Democrats blame “deregulation” for the 2008 financial crisis. While government policies do have an impact on the direction of the economy, this analysis completely ignores the biggest player on the stage — the Federal Reserve.

One cannot grasp the economic big-picture without understanding how Federal Reserve monetary policy drives the boom-bust cycle. The effects of all other government policies work within the Fed’s monetary framework. Money-printing and interest rate manipulations fuel booms and the inevitable attempt to return to “normalcy” precipitates busts.

In simplest terms, easy money blows up bubbles. Bubbles pop and set off a crisis. Rinse. Wash. Repeat.

Census: Texas Adding 9 Hispanics to Population for Every White Resident

The state of Texas is adding about nine Hispanic residents to its population for every one white resident, the United States Census Bureau states.

The Texas Tribune published the latest Census Bureau data and projections which indicate that between 2010 and 2018 the Hispanic population in Texas has grown at nearly four times the rate of the white resident population and more than three times the rate of the black resident population.

Today, the Texas Hispanic population stands at almost 11.4 million. This indicates that Texas adds nearly 215,000 Hispanic residents every year, while the black resident population grows by only 60,000 a year and the white resident population grows by about 54,000, on average, a year.

Last year, alone, the white resident population of Texas grew by only about 24,000.

Donald Trump Jr.: ‘Mexico Doing More To Protect America Than Democrats’

Donald Trump Jr. slammed the Democratic Party on Monday as news broke that the Mexican government was deploying thousands of troops to the U.S.-Mexico to help stop the flood of illegal aliens entering the United States.

"Mexico doing more to protect America than Democrats," Trump Jr. tweeted. "The Dems have lost their way... they are not your grandfather’s Democrat party any longer and haven’t been for far too long."

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) also weighed in on the news, tweeting: "If true, what a message to skeptics who repeated talking points that @realDonaldTrump's agreement with Mexico was an empty piece of paper. And perhaps more importantly: what a message to Washington Democrats, who are now being outdone by MEXICO on securing America's own border."

President Trump's Middle East Plan is a Refreshing Change

“The Trump administration is no less committed to peace than its predecessors. The key difference is that Trump does not feel tied down by the unsuccessful formulas of the past, and he and his team are willing to openly challenge that conventional thinking,” Hudson Institute Senior Fellow Jon Lerner writes in CNN.

“The goal of the Trump plan is to end this decades-long conflict and create conditions for a better life for Palestinians and Israelis. The plan will begin to be rolled out at this week's conference in Bahrain,” Lerner writes. “Economic conditions are quite poor in the West Bank, and among the world's worst in Gaza . . . The Trump plan contains specific and realistic projects that could double Palestinian GDP, create a million new jobs in Gaza and the West Bank, and cut poverty in half.”

“The White House has unveiled the economic aspects of its Middle East peace plan,” Prof. Emeritus Alan Dershowitz of Harvard Law School writes in The Hill. “The bottom line is that if Palestinian leaders were to accept — or at least sit down and negotiate about —the proposed peace plan, they could quickly improve the quality of life of their people. This could lead to a two-state solution that would be a win-win for all sides.”
“Critics would rather bash Trump than acknowledge Obama’s na├»ve strategy of Iranian appeasement was a failure,” Middle East expert Tom Basile writes in Fox News. “Democrats and Republicans in Congress need to acknowledge that the Obama approach to Iran emboldened and enriched an enemy never willing to be an honest broker for peace. President Trump is trying to get the West back in a position to effectively isolate Iran and counter the Mullahs aggression before engaging in any form of military conflict.”
“Concerns about immigration, and its impact on crime and taxes, have soared to the highest level ever, according to a new survey. Gallup said that more Americans than ever before cited immigration as their top concern in the latest poll,” Paul Bedard reports in the Washington Examiner.
“What do Democrats want to do about illegal immigration? Will they ever tell us? Or will they keep emoting about how deeply they care about the issue without ever offering a plan?” Karol Markowicz writes in the New York Post. “Democrats know what they oppose: any proposal from President Trump . . . They want the emotional validation of being the ‘good guys’ without having to actually lay out their positions on what to do about tens of thousands of people entering the homeland illegally.”

New foal born on Assateague Island

Late Friday afternoon, June 21, 2019, N2BHS-AL (“Ms. Macky”) gave birth to a bay pinto colt. The new foal, N2BHS-ALR, and band live most of the year in the very busy developed area and campgrounds. For this reason, the National Park Service expressly reminds visitors that it is essential to remain a minimum of a bus length (40’) away from the wild horses at all times.

Everything is new to a foal. N2BHS-ALR will learn how to interact with the environment from his mother and other members of his band. About two-thirds of foals in the National Seashore are born in April, May and June, but it is not uncommon for foals to be born during any month of the year. A mare will be very protective of her new foal and it is vitally important for their well-being that visitors give them, and all of the wild horses, plenty of space.

What American patients have a right to know—before they go to the doctor

President Trump’s mission for healthcare can be summed up in just four words: put American patients first.

Today, he took another step toward that goal, signing an executive order that requires hospitals to publicly disclose what people actually pay for important medical services in an easy-to-read format.

For too long, powerful interests have blocked patients from knowing the true price and quality of their healthcare, preventing them from making informed choices. Lack of transparency contributes to soaring costs, suppressed competition, and lower quality of care. As a result, patients face wild variations in prices—often for the exact same services.

Publicizing the true prices of healthcare services will allow Americans to make choices that fit their personal healthcare needs and their financial situations. “We believe the American people have the right to know the price of services before they go to visit the doctor,” President Trump said today.

Watch President Trump unveil today's landmark healthcare action.
