The Wall Street Journal's Jason Riley has penned an illuminating Op-Ed which eloquently describes the current strategy among Democrats following their unsuccessful attempt to dislodge newly minted Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh; smear the Supreme Court itself.
Having lost the fight over Brett Kavanaugh, Democrats quickly pivoted to attacking the Supreme Court as an institution. -WSJ
Riley also wonders if the severe character assassination he suffered at the hands of Democrats "did not change" him, as he asserted in remarks following his confirmation - noting that "no one on the court, with the exception of Justice Clarence Thomas, has come close to being treated as horrifically as Justice Kavanaugh by the nomination process."
Democrats Rage Against the Judiciary
Their campaign against Kavanaugh failed, so they resort to smearing the Supreme Court itself.

Attorney General Frosh Joins Fight to Stop Illegal Robocalls and Spoofing
Coalition of Attorneys General Asking the FCC to Allow Phone Companies to Do More to Block Illegal Robocalls – including Neighbor Spoofing
BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh has joined a coalition of 34 attorneys general in calling on the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to create new rules allowing telephone service providers to block illegal robocalls being made to unsuspecting consumers in Maryland and across the country.
New spoofing tactics used by scammers include “neighbor spoofing,” a technique that allows calls - no matter where they originate - to appear on a consumer’s caller ID as being made from a phone number that has the same local area code as the consumer. This manipulation of caller ID information increases the likelihood that the consumer will answer the call, and it is being utilized by scammers at an alarming and increasing rate.
“Illegal robocalls are not just an irritant, but are utilized by scammers to gain access to consumers’ personal information, especially from seniors and other vulnerable populations,” said Attorney General Frosh. “Scammers frequently change their tactics to find new ways to steal valuable personal information. The FCC must step up its efforts and allow telephone service providers to employ new technology to protect consumers.”

UC Davis Student Spent $12,000 Defending Himself Against False Sexual Misconduct Allegation
A UC Davis student spent $12,000 on legal fees defending himself against a false allegation in early 2018.
A new report from Reason.com details the unfortunate story of a UC Davis student who spent months earlier this year believing that he was set to join the ranks of Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey and the other abusers that were exposed as part of the ongoing #MeToo movement.
The problem is that the male student, pseudonymously referred to as James, was not guilty of any kind of assault or misconduct. His accuser, referred to as Becky, allegedly decided that she did not enjoy their hookup encounter several days after it had occurred.

FDA Bans Seven Artificial Food Flavorings
The FDA has banned the use of seven synthetic substances used to flavor or enhance flavor in baked goods, ice cream, candy, beverages, and chewing gum.
Environmental and health advocacy groups sent data to the agency that showed that 6 of the substances cause cancer in lab animals, the FDA says, and the seventh flavor is being removed from approved additives as it is no longer used by industry.
On a label, the substances are listed as ''artificial flavors," rather than their specific names, according to the Environmental Defense Fund, one of the organizations that petitioned to get the flavors outlawed. The substances are typically added to simulate mint, cinnamon, and citrus.
The 6 are:
- Benzophenone
- Ethyl acrylate
- Eugenyl methyl ether
- Myrcene
- Pulegone
- Pyridine
The FDA also removed its approval for styrene, which has been abandoned by industry, the agency says.

Trump, Declassification, and Leverage
There's a reason why President Trump has not unilaterally declassified the documents exposing perfidy against him: leverage. As the whole Russia hoax is beginning to come into some sort of global perspective – quite literally, as we'll see – the extent of the advantage he now maintains by holding back declassification as a threat outweighs the benefits of transparency. Recent posts by observers who write from widely varying perspectives give us the ability to discern the current state of play.
Let's start with the domestic front of the Russia hoax. Sundance at Conservative Tree House has an excellent post up: "President Trump and DAG Rod Rosenstein – "No Collusion", No Immediate Worries..." The overall theme is one that's dear to Sundance's heart: leverage. The state of play is this: the congressional investigation has progressed to the point that it's clear beyond cavil that the entire Russia narrative is, in fact, a hoax and fraud – both on the American people in general and on our legal system. This is to say real criminal liability exists for the key players who developed the plot against Trump. John Solomon summarizes what Congress has discovered in succinct fashion:
There is now a concrete storyline backed by irrefutable evidence: The FBI allowed itself to take political opposition research created by one party to defeat another in an election, treated it like actionable intelligence, presented it to the court as substantiated, and then used it to justify spying on an adviser for the campaign of that party's duly chosen nominee for president in the final days of a presidential election.
And when, nine months later, the FBI could not prove the allegation of collusion between Trump and Russia, unverified evidence was leaked to the media to try to sustain public support for a continued investigation.
But Sundance spells out very specifically where the greatest risk – and therefore the greatest leverage – lies:

Facebook friend request hoaxes go viral
At first glance, it appears like a friend is trying to warn you about your Facebook account potentially being hacked — but it’s actually a hoax. Facebook users who are receiving these friendly reminders are being urged to resist heeding the advice.
Messages that have circulated on the social media platform in recent days have all been worded similarly to this: “Hi….I actually got another friend request from you which I ignored so you may want to check your account. Hold your finger on the message until the forward button appears…then hit forward and all the people you want to forward too….I had to do the people individually. PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT A NEW friendship FROM ME AT THIS TIME.”
A Facebook spokesman told Fox News Tuesday these messages are taking the form of a “‘chain mail’ type of notice.”
“We’ve heard that some people are seeing posts or messages about accounts being cloned on Facebook,” the spokesman confirmed. Cloning occurs when a scammer copies your entire profile, including your name and photos, and creates a second identical account with hopes of gaining access to your friends’ profiles. Once they get accepted as a friend, they attempt to get personal information.

Lawmakers and Leftists Continue to Push ‘Get in Their Face’ Tactics
The idea that it is a good thing to confront, intimidate, and even rough up people with whom you disagree to advance a political agenda dates back to community organizer and former President Barack Obama but is reaching new levels of hostility since the election of President Donald Trump.
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors,” Obama said on the presidential campaign trail in September 2008. “I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican.”
“I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” Obama said.
Fast forward to 2018 when lawmakers and activists are encouraging confrontations with members of Congress who disagree with them or support Trump.
The latest rant took place on Saturday ahead of the confirmation vote on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh when protesters gathered on the steps of the high court, including Jennifer Epps-Addison, network president and co-executive director at the leftist Center for Popular Democracy.
“If you think a few women were getting up in their faces at an airport, if they thought of us calmly saying, ‘Listen to survivors’ was enough to shake and intimidate them, well, wait till they go home,” Epps-Addison said. “Wait till they go to the state fair. Wait till they go to the coffee shop. Wait till they go to the movies. Wait till they go anywhere we see them.”
“Make your voice heard,” Epps-Addison said. “Do not be calm. Do not be silenced. Do not be patient.”
Leftists continue to get marching orders from elected officials, including Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA).

Nolte: Democrats Consider Becoming ‘More Ruthless’ After Losing Kavanaugh Battle
After losing the war to defeat Brett Kavanaugh, Democrats are thinking about becoming even “more ruthless,” reports the far-left Politico.
After launching at least a half-dozen debunked and outright phony allegations of criminal sexual deviancy against Kavanaugh, after accusing him of running a gang rape ring where women were drugged as a means to incapacitate them, after legitimizing the harassment of President Trump and Kavanaugh supporters up to and including chasing them out of public spaces, Democrats are thinking about becoming “more ruthless”?
Other than violence, what is left?
In all seriousness, how can Democrats become “more ruthless” than they have already been without resorting to violence?
The Politico piece is utterly deranged in its fact-free premise, including anti-science nonsense such as, “Democrats keep playing by a set of rules.”
What?
Are we talking about the same Democrats who violated every norm to hold onto Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations against Kavanaugh until it could do the maximum damage? Are we talking about the same Democrats who used procedural trickery to pass Obamacare?

Michael Goodwin: Hillary’s calling for a ‘civil’ war -- Where's the outrage?
Two events from the last two days stand out. The first came Monday night with President Trump’s forceful yet compassionate speech at the swearing in of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.
The president opened with an extraordinary apology on behalf of the country to Kavanaugh and his family “for the terrible pain and suffering” they endured during the historically brutal confirmation process. He said the unfounded allegations violated fairness and “the presumption of innocence.”
Trump also tenderly addressed Kavanaugh’s young daughters, telling them “your father is a great man, a man of decency, character, kindness and courage.”
The event was something of a spike-the-football moment in front of a cheering White House audience and as such was a clever piece of stagecraft, where Republican Sens. Mitch McConnell, Charles Grassley, Lindsey Graham and Susan Collins were saluted.
But the ceremony was much more than mere boosterism. With the eight other Supremes sitting in the front row, Trump aimed to restore dignity to the judiciary at a time when the dirtiest tricks of politics have buried the court in a mountain of mud.
The president is right to worry that the character-assassination attempt on Kavanaugh may turn out to be a seminal moment in American political and cultural history. The ideas that the court is just another political branch and that the presumption of innocence no longer applies if you are on the other team represent a seismic shift in how we look at each other and the nation as a whole.
If those ideas stick, we are in more trouble than we can imagine.

Hillary unleashes the thugs
Unless sobriety suddenly and miraculously returns to Democrats driven insane by their unexpected loss to Donald Trump, the United States is headed for a downward spiral of political violence of the sort that has destabilized democratic regimes (Weimar Germany and Taisho Japan) and led to fascism and world war. Only by the grace of God and the bravery of the Capitol Police was a mass assassination of the House Republican Caucus avoided.
That is the context in which we must understand the irresponsibility and reprehensibility of Hillary Clinton's statement to CNN's Christiane Amanpour during an interview in Britain.
"You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for."

Hillary Clinton Has A Weird Way Of Looking At ‘Civility’
How can you miss someone if they won’t go away? On today’s Daily Daily Caller Podcast, we discuss the latest news from Clinton world. Bill and Hillary Clinton are going on a 13-city speaking tour to discuss … whatever. Does anyone want to hear anything from these people anymore?
Listen to the show:
How much would you pay to hear the Clintons speak? Bill and Hillary’s tour features tickets from $72 up to $745 to hear them talk about themselves. Haven’t we heard them say everything by now? Couldn’t they make more money by choosing them not to speak?
Hillary told CNN that civility won’t return to politics until Democrats take control of Congress. The liberal mob, in her mind, is justified because Republicans think differently from Democrats and that’s just about the biggest sin in the progressive world. The death and rape threats, even the attempted murder of Republicans isn’t much of a big deal to Hillary. She says the angry mob shouldn’t stop harassing people until liberals win. Wonderful, isn’t it?

Mark Alexander: Toxic Femininity and the #MeToo Mob: Weaponizing Emotional Distress
The manifestation of anger and hatred that defines toxic femininity is increasingly on shameful public display.
Did you noticed in the Supreme Court nominee hearings that some women harbor unresolved anger toward men?
In 2017, the most angry of the lot emerged under the #MeToo identity-politics banner— with legitimate allegations of sexual misconduct in the workplace. Most notable were those that brought down Harvey Weinstein’s Hollywood empire and forced the resignations of Rep. John Conyers, Sen. Al Franken, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, and NBC’s Matt Lauer.
Not coincidentally, each of these deviants belonged to or supported the party of unrepentant serial sexual assailant Bill Clinton and his chief defender and enablerHillary Clinton.
That feminist anger coalesced after the election of Donald Trump and metastasized with his nomination of now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh, thanks to a disgracefulcharacter assassination charade scripted and calculated by Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer.

Eric Holder rejects Michelle Obama's call for civility
Speaking on Sunday at a campaign event for local Georgia Democratic candidates, former Attorney General Eric Holder flatly rejected former first lady Michelle Obama's widely cited call for civility and instead urged Democrats to brawl with Republicans
"It is time for us, as Democrats, to be as tough as they are, to be as dedicated as they are, to be as committed as they are," Holder told a crowd of campaign volunteers and candidates. "Michelle always says -- I love her; she and my wife are like, really tight, which always scares me and Barack -- but Michelle always says, 'When they go low, we go high.' No. When they go low, we kick 'em."
After raucous applause, Holder, who served in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2015, added: "That's what this new Democratic Party is about."

'The Senate and the nation will not be intimidated.'
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told CNN in an interview Tuesday, “You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about."
“That’s why I believe, if we are fortunate enough to win back the House and/or the Senate, that’s when civility can start again," Clinton told CNN's Christiane Amanpour. "But until then, the only thing Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength.”
In a floor speech Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., fiercely criticized Clinton's comments, saying the former presidential candidate was encouraging "mob tactics."
"The far-left mob is not letting up. Earlier today, former Secretary of State Clinton sent this signal as clear as day," McConnell said. "She told CNN exactly how she views millions of Americans who hold different political views from her own."
"No peace until they get their way?" McConnell continued, quoting Clinton's comments. "More of these unhinged tactics? Apparently, this is the left's rallying cry. But fortunately, the American people know that the fact-free politics of hate, fear and intimidation are not how we actually govern in our democratic republic. ... The Senate and the nation will not be intimidated."

On her low-rated afternoon show, CNN’s Brooke Baldwin mocked both of her guests as they described the left-wing activists who chased Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his wife out of a DC restaurant last month as a “mob.”
“Oh, you’re not going to use the mob word here,” Baldwin moaned after the Daily Caller’s Matt Lewis brought up the mob that harassed Cruz and his wife.
When asked what she would call the people banging on the Supreme Court walls, Baldwin refused to answer.
Later, during his last-place evening show, far-left activist Don Lemon went even further in defending mob action against the political right by framing it as free speech.

Truck Firebombed over Donald Trump Bumper Stickers
A truck owner whose vehicle was set ablaze and vandalized with spray paint in Washington says he was targeted because of his Donald Trump bumper stickers.
“If you say anything that someone doesn’t like, you are ultimately a target,” truck owner Johnny MacKay told Portland’s KOIN-TV. “You’re automatically the enemy, and they have to hurt you.”
The Vancouver, Washington, resident found his vehicle set on fire outside the Garage Bar and Grille after he had left the truck in the bar’s parking lot the night before.
MacKay told the media he felt overserved the night before and had taken an Uber home, but when he returned the next day to retrieve his vehicle, he found it destroyed.
Not only was his truck burned to ruination, but it was also spray-painted with anti-Trump slogans. The truck owner said he did not vote for Trump in 2016 but does support him now that he is in office.

Trump in Iowa: The Democrats Have ‘Gone Wacko’
President Donald Trump expressed alarm by the growing extremism in the Democrat party, urging his supporters to vote Republican in the upcoming Congressional midterm elections.
“The Democrats have become too extreme and they’ve become, frankly, too dangerous to govern,” he said to supporters at a rally in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “They’ve gone wacko.”
Trump mocked the party as “The Dims,” noting that it was a frequent term used by Fox Business host Lou Dobbs and other hosts on Fox News.
“They’ve gone so far left that they consider Pocahontas to be a rational person,” Trump said, referring to Elizabeth Warren.

Gay Marriage Cake: UK Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Christian Bakers
The UK’s Supreme Court ruled in favour of Northern Irish Christian bakers who declined to bake and decorate a cake with a pro-gay marriage message, with owners heralding the decision as a victory for free speech.
Britain’s highest court ruled Wednesday morning that it was not discriminatory for Ashers Bakery, run by Daniel and Amy McArthur, to refuse to produce the cake with the slogan “Support Gay Marriage” because it was the message of the case that they objected to, not the sexual orientation of the customer, the BBC reports.
President of the Supreme Court Lady Hale said of the decision arrived at by the five justices that the McArthurs “would have refused to make such a cake for any customer, irrespective of their sexual orientation”.

Limbaugh: Dems 'May Lose It' If They Don't Retake House
Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said Washington, D.C. maybe become "uninhabitable for a while" if the Democrats do not retake the House in November's midterm elections.
On his show Tuesday, Limbaugh explained that Democrats are hoping to impeach President Trump and Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh if they control the House.
If that doesn't happen, Limbaugh said that Democrats may "lose it."
“I think we haven’t seen the meltdown that is going to happen among many elected Democrats: the charges of a rigged election, of Russian interference, that Trump did it again, anything they can come up with," Limbaugh said.

Melania on #MeToo: Women Need to Be Heard, but ‘Show the Evidence’
First Lady Melania Trump believes the #MeToo movement is important, but women and men should also have hard evidence when making allegations of sexual assault.
“I support the women, and they need to be heard. We need to support them. And also men, not just women,” the first lady said. “You need to have a really hard evidence that if you are accused of something, show the evidence.”
Trump defended her position, noting that sometimes the media went too far with coverage of #MeToo stories
“You cannot just say to somebody, I was sexually assaulted or you did that to me … sometimes the media goes too far, the way they portray some stories, it’s not correct, it’s not right,” she said.

More Anchor Baby Births in Los Angeles than Total U.S. Births in 14 States
There are now more illegal aliens giving birth to anchor babies in the Los Angeles, California metro area than there are total United States births in 14 states and the District of Columbia.
New wide-ranging analysis by the Center for Immigration Studies‘ Steven Camarotta reveals that there are an estimated 28,000 births to illegal aliens every year in the Los Angeles metro area, exceeding the total number of U.S. births in 14 states and the District of Columbia.
The children of illegal aliens are commonly known as “anchor babies,” as they anchor their illegal alien and noncitizen parents in the U.S. and eventually are allowed to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the country through the process known as “chain migration.”

Following PJ Media Report, Arizona Democrat David Garcia and Others Return Donations From Sal James Rivera, Who Was Arrested For Sexual Assault
Five days after PJ Media confronted Arizona Democrat governor candidate David Garcia for attacking Brett Kavanaugh over sexual assault while refusing to comment on the sexual assault charges against his donor, Sal James Rivera, Garcia and other Democrats refunded Rivera's contributions on Tuesday.
"Hi everybody, it’s David. I’m here today to say I believe survivors," Garcia said in a campaign video. "I believe women. I believe the 77 percent of sexual assault victims that stay silent. I’m here today to stand in solidarity with one voice, to say enough. I support you, I believe you. Thank you." The candidate has tweeted this message with the hashtags "#BelieveSurvivors" and "#StopKavanaugh."
When Rivera was arrested for sexual assault late last month, however, Garcia had nothing to say. Rivera allegedly groped a woman who was driving him home after got drunk at a Garcia campaign party. Rivera proceeded to apologize to the woman, according to a police report.

Rare Polio-Like Disease Hits Children In 16 States
Children's hospitals across the country are reporting the spread of a rare polio-like illness which has affected 38 people across 16 states this year.
The rare but serious disease known as Acute Flaccid Myelitis or AFM first made headlines in 2014. Since then, the CDC has tracked 362 cases almost entirely confined to children.
There is no vaccine for AFM - which is defined as an "inflammation of the spinal cord" which results in "limb, facial, oral or eye weakness" which can vary from subtle to severe.
Recently, a 2-year-old girl from Batavia, Julia Payne, was placed on a respirator and fed intravenously after being unable to swallow on her own.

Netflix Show ‘Big Mouth’ Repeats False Statistic That Abortion Makes Up Only ‘3 Percent’ of Planned Parenthood Services. Pregnancy Centers Help With Many Other Services
The new season of Netflix's awkward puberty show "Big Mouth" defends Planned Parenthood as a life-saver and repeats a false statistic the abortion giant uses to make it seem like killing unborn babies is not its primary business. The teenage characters defend Planned Parenthood in an episode called "The Planned Parenthood Show."

Jessi (Jessi Klein) shoots back, "Jay, you don't know what you're talking about. You've never even been to a Planned Parenthood."
Missy argues that "they do a lot more than abortions." Jessi chimes in, "Yeah, they save lives."

Eric Holder Whips Up Democrats: When They Go Low, We Kick Them
As Democrats approach midterms - and more importantly the 2020 US election, former Attorney General Eric Holder had some advice during a Sunday campaign event in Georgia.
"Michelle [Obama] always says ‘When they go low, we go high.’ No. No. When they go low, we kick them"
Holder clarified that he's not advocating actual violence, saying: "When I say we, you know, ‘We kick ‘em,’ I don’t mean we do anything inappropriate. We don’t do anything illegal."
"But we got to be tough, and we have to fight for the very things that [civil rights leaders] John Lewis, Martin Luther King, Whitney Young – you know, all those folks gave to us."
Holder isn't the only leading Democrat calling for aggressive action against conservatives. In a Tuesday interview, Hillary Clinton rejected the idea that Democrats should be "civil" with Republicans in the age of Donald Trump.
"You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about," said Clinton.

CNN hosts are upset that anyone would refer to left-wing protesters as a ‘mob.’ Do they not remember the media’s coverage of the Tea Party?
CNN’s Don Lemon and Brooke Baldwin made headlines this week with separate outbursts aimed at a guest who characterized left-wing activists as a “mob.”
But the thing about their reactions is that they feel a bit ... over-the-top. Do they not remember how the press treated the Tea Party? Judging by their shocked — shocked! — reactions, you'd think both Lemon and Baldwin were out of the country between 2009 and 2012.
“Oh, you’re not going to use the ‘mob’ word here,” Baldwin said this week after guest Matt Lewis used “mob” to refer to the people who chased Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and his wife from a restaurant in the nation’s capital on Sept. 24.

FEMA Faces Hurricane Michael With Many Senior Roles Unfilled
As Hurricane Michael barrels into Florida, the agency charged with protecting Americans from the storm has large numbers of senior positions vacant or without permanent staff.
At least 22 senior leadership roles at the Federal Emergency Management Agency are vacant or occupied by staff temporarily filling those positions. Jobs listed on the agency’s website as open include the assistant administrator for risk management and the director of resource management. One other senior official was suspended last month.
Brock Long, FEMA’s administrator, complained about one of the openings during a press briefing on Hurricane Michael.
“One thing that would help is getting my deputy confirmed,” Long said at the briefing Wednesday morning when asked if his agency had the resources to respond to back-to-back hurricanes. “It would be nice to go through a hurricane season with a deputy director inside FEMA.”
President Donald Trump nominated Peter Gaynor to be Long’s deputy in June. Congress has yet to approve Gaynor’s nomination.
The openings at FEMA reflect a broader trend within the Trump administration. Of 702 positions that require confirmation by the Senate, only 366 have been confirmed, according to data collected by the Partnership for Public Service in collaboration with the Washington Post.

Toxic Femininity and the #MeToo Mob: Weaponizing Emotional Distress
Did you noticed in the Supreme Court nominee hearings that some women harbor unresolved anger toward men?
In 2017, the most angry of the lot emerged under the #MeToo identity-politics banner — with legitimate allegations of sexual misconduct in the workplace. Most notable were those that brought down Harvey Weinstein’s Hollywood empire and forced the resignations of Rep. John Conyers, Sen. Al Franken, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, and NBC’s Matt Lauer.
Not coincidentally, each of these deviants belonged to or supported the party of unrepentant serial sexual assailant Bill Clinton and his chief defender and enabler Hillary Clinton.
That feminist anger coalesced after the election of Donald Trump and metastasized with his nomination of now-Justice Brett Kavanaugh, thanks to a disgraceful character assassination charade scripted and calculated by Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer.
As I have written previously, the Feinstein/Schumer strategy was to make Christine Ford, who alleged that Kavanaugh groped her 36 years ago, the poster proxy for every woman who has ever suffered any offending sexual encounter along a full spectrum — from romantic rejection, to a sense of being objectified, to sexual harassment, to regrets about encounters resulting from alcohol- or drug-impaired cognitive ability, to actual sexual assault. For some women who’ve been swept up into the #MeToo mob, Ford embodies their collective anger, grief, and desire for justice — despite the fact that her allegations were unsupported, unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and utterly refuted by the alleged witnesses she named.
To complete the political pretense, Feinstein, et al., fraudulently framed Kavanaugh as the poster proxy for every male who has ever offended a woman.

New York man wanted to blow himself up on the National Mall on Election Day
Paul Rosenfeld was arrested on charges that he built a bomb and planned to kill himself with it to draw attention to beliefs in ancient election system.
The FBI has arrested an upstate New York man accused of building a bomb that he intended to use to blow himself up on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Election Day, authorities said Wednesday.
Court documents say Paul Rosenfeld, 56, of Tappan, wanted to draw attention to his belief in "sortition," the ancient practice of randomly selecting legislators out of a pool of eligible voters.
The plot unraveled after Rosenfeld sent letters and text messages to a reporter in Pennsylvania in August and September, stating that he planned to blow himself up in the heart of the capital on Election Day, according to court papers and officials.
The reporter contacted authorities, and on Tuesday, FBI agents pulled over Rosenfeld while he was driving, court papers say.

Kavanaugh Moves Another #NeverTrump to Don the MAGA Hat
It's another thrilling issue of... True Confessions!
There's a nice piece up at The Federalist from Missouri-based Nathanael Blake. His headline reads: "I Was A Never Trumper Until Democrats Went Gonzo On Kavanaugh. Now, Hand Me That Red Hat."
(Hat tip to LongTime Sharp PJ Media Reader™ Andrew Stern.)
Blake writes that although he started out as a NeverTrumper, he "also criticized the die-hard Never-Trumpers who are willing to jettison conservatism to pursue their vendetta against Trump," and that he's "tried to call things" as he saw them. Which is the kind of intellectual honesty we should be able to appreciate from anyone. He goes on to say, "Sometimes I was pleased with Trump’s policy, and sometimes I was appalled by him. I do not disavow any of what I wrote. Nonetheless, I now support Trump’s reelection."
Like many people I've seen on TV, in published articles, and even in the comments section right here at PJM, the Democrats' Kavanaugh Kavalcade was Blake's last straw:

Chappelle on #MeToo: ‘I Wish They Would Speak to Black Women More’
SILVER SPRING, Md. – While campaigning for Maryland Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ben Jealous, comedian Dave Chappelle said he wishes that the #MeToo movement would “speak to black women more.”
Chappelle described himself as neither a Democrat nor a Republican, but said he’s endorsing Jealous because the former NAACP president is a problem-solver.
“I know a lot of women saw today that Kavanaugh got the Supreme Court and I’ve got to tell you something, the #MeToo movement is correct, but man, I wish they would speak to black women more. And I know this is a very difficult time in American history, but right now we’ve got solutions,” Chappelle said during a “voter mobilization rally” alongside Jealous at Morgan State University’s homecoming on Saturday.
“The greatest thing I’ve done in my life is what I didn’t do. I’ve never been happier. I’m glad I quit that [Chappelle’s Show] and I didn’t take that goddamn money and I’ll tell you, when I came back, they respected me because my ‘no’ is real, man. You’ve got to be able to say ‘yes’ sometimes but you’ve got to be able to say ‘no’ sometimes and you’ve got to know what you’re picking – but if you’re not registered to vote, you can’t choose, so make yourselves eligible to make a choice. Register to vote,” he added.

DHS Secretary: We Don't Have Beds to Detain 2,500 Illegals Who Are Suspected Terrorists
There were two eye-popping revelations today, when Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and FBI Director Christopher Wray discussed national security concerns at a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
Wray said the FBI is currently investigating 5,000 terrorism cases here and around the world, including a thousand cases involving home-grown radicals; and Nielsen said there is not enough detention space to lock up around 2,500 illegal aliens who are on the suspected terrorist list.
Wray told the committee, "National security remains the FBI's top priority and counter-terrorism is still a paramount concern. Right now, as I sit here, we're currently investigating about 5,000 terrorism cases across America and around the world. And about a thousand of those cases are home-grown violent extremists. And they're in all 50 states."

Soros Groups Use Hurricane to Push Florida ‘Voting Rights Crisis’ Scheme
MoveOn.org, which has been massively financed by billionaire George Soros, is peddling a petition sponsored by another Soros-backed group claiming that Florida voters “could be disenfranchised” if the state does not extend the deadline for new voters to register.
“We need to shine a nationwide spotlight on this voting rights crisis—because we can’t let any eligible voter lose their right to be heard in our democracy,” reads the petition, which echoes similar calls from Democratic candidates in Florida.
The missive warns that voters could be “silenced” if the deadline isn’t extended, arguing sections of Florida have been under a state of emergency. The deadline to register in Florida was yesterday, one day before the hurricane made landfall.

Google Lied About "Dragonfly" China Censorship Project According To Leaked Transcript
According to a leaked transcript, Google lied to the media regarding their secretive Chinese search engine, according to The Intercept.
The project, code-named Dragonfly, would blacklist phrases like "human rights," "student protest," and "Nobel Prize," and has resulted in at least seven Google employees quitting for ethical reasons. Other employees have circulated a letter recognizing a "code yellow" emergency, suggesting that the Dragonfly initiative violates Google's ethical code, which states that the company will not build or deploy technologies "whose purpose contravenes widely accepted principles of international law and human rights," according to The Intercept.
The project has also drawn criticism from human rights groups, congressional legislators and Vice President Mike Pence - who called on the search engine giant to "immediately end development of the Dragonfly app that will strengthen the Communist Party’s censorship and compromise the privacy of Chinese customers.

The Odd Story About Christine Blasey Ford’s Second Front Door That Triggered The Kavanaugh Allegation
It’s been a frenetic couple of weeks. It’s been nasty. It’s been a knife fight. The Left tried to stop Judge Brett Kavanaugh from becoming the next Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. They almost succeeded, spewing baseless sexual misconduct accusations that turned the nomination process into a freak show. Their base is animated, but so is ours. At no other point in the Trump presidency has the Right been so united behind defending and confirming this man. Very soon, it will be made official. Sens. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Joe Manchin (D-WV), and Susan Collins (R-ME) have all announced they’re voting for Kavanaugh. That’s more than enough to confirm him. It’s over.
The sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh all were lacking evidence and corroborating witnesses. It was a horrid window into how the Left views due process and the presumption of innocence. In short, it’s lacking in their world. It’s all guided by identity politics and the cuckoo notion that women are incapable of lying. The first allegation lobbed by Christine Blasey Ford, where she says a drunken 17-year-old Kavanaugh tried to rape her at a high school party, was handwritten in a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) office, where it sat for weeks. Feinstein didn’t disclose it to anyone, not even her Senate colleagues until the last minute, which set off this clown show. In all probability, the Democrats leaked the letter and weaponized this woman’s allegation. There’s not a shred of evidence to confirm this—and Ford can’t remember key details. She doesn’t know who organized the party, whose house it was in, how she got there, or who drove her home after the alleged attack. Years later, when doing a home renovation, an argument over a door brought out the story in couple’s therapy in 2012. Yet, Paul Sperry of Real Clear Investigations noted something odd about this part of Ford’s testimony before Congress, namely that the timeline doesn't match up:

Schools Not Required to Notify Parents If Child Identifies as Transgender, New Jersey Says
It's one of the most delicate and potentially combustible questions schools can face.
A teenager confides in a teacher that he or she is transgender and wants to transition at school without any family finding out about it.
Should the school call the student's parents? And, if it does, what happens if mom and dad say no?
After years of school officials using their own best judgment, New Jersey has weighed in, siding with students and telling schools they must allow kids to change genders -- even if their parents don't know about or don't want it to happen.

Green Roof Requirements Are On the Rise
Rooftops aren’t just for shingles and solar panels anymore. Increasingly, they’re for the birds, the bees and the trees. Green roofs, which have been common in Europe for more than 40 years, are slowly catching on in the U.S. Since the mid-aughts, there’s been a small but growing effort -- particularly in the last two years -- to turn rooftops over to all kinds of vegetation.
The focus comes as cities are setting ever more ambitious energy efficiency and renewable energy goals. Green or living roofs are an obvious solution because they’ve been found to reduce energy costs and absorb stormwater. What’s more, green roofs improve air quality and help reduce the urban heat island effect, a condition in which cities absorb and trap heat at higher rates than rural areas. A study commissioned by the Washington state Department of Energy and Environment found that every dollar invested in green roofs generated $2 in benefits. “There is more of a mindset today that the roofs of buildings are an infrastructure asset,” says Steven Peck, founder and president of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. “It makes sense then to use those assets to reduce stormwater, filter the air and reduce the urban heat effect.”
That’s why several cities have begun implementing policies to promote green roofs, starting with San Francisco’s Better Roofs Ordinance, which launched in January 2017. The ordinance made San Francisco the first major U.S. city to mandate solar and living roofs on between 15 percent and 30 percent of most new construction. “We should treat real estate on the top of our buildings as valuable,” says Barry Hooper, green building specialist for the city’s Department of the Environment.

The Left’s Pattern of Overlooking Due Process
The notion that certain Americans are pre-emptively guilty of wrongdoing, whether there’s any corroborating evidence to back up an accusation or not, isn’t reserved for conservatives who happen to be in contention for a Supreme Court seat.
In the hierarchy of progressive values, due process is a bottom dweller.
Over the past decade, you could see the illiberalism evolving on college campuses, where Democrats subverted basic standards of justice.
It was the Obama administration that demanded schools judge cases of alleged sexual assaults under a “clear and convincing evidence” standard rather than on a “preponderance of evidence” standard, allowed accusers to appeal “not guilty” findings, and permitted the meting out of punishment before any investigation was even conducted, among other big problems.
Democrats are simply shepherding those corrosive standards into the real world.
Another area of American life where we continue to see egregious attacks on the presumption of innocence is gun ownership. You might remember that a couple of years ago, Democrats engaged in a much-covered congressional “sit-in” to support legislation that would have stripped Americans on secret government watchlists—hundreds of thousands of people who had never been accused, much less convicted, of any crime—of their constitutional right to bear arms.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., in fact, proposed legislation that would have restricted not only American citizens on faulty watchlists but anyone who had been on any watchlist at any time during the previous five years and anyone who had traveled to select Middle Eastern countries.
Apparently, Democrats believe limiting the number of refugees from Syria is unconstitutional but explicitly restricting the constitutional rights of Syrian immigrants here legally is just fine.
Then again, the entire effort was a frontal attack on about half the Bill of Rights. At the time, even the American Civil Liberties Union, which has increasingly turned away from its guiding principles, argued that policies based on flawed terror lists would undermine civil liberties.

Democrats’ latest excuse: Blame the Constitution
Democrats suffered a stinging loss in the fight over Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, and have concluded that the constitutional system is to blame.
You see, if only the Founders hadn’t forged the Great Compromise between large states and small states at the Constitutional Convention in 1787, giving each state equal representation in the US Senate, they would have defeated Brett Kavanaugh handily. It’s only because smaller red states have two senators just like larger blue states that the judge got confirmed.
For the left, the US Senate is now looming, together with the Electoral College and the Supreme Court, as an institution of villainy in American life. In the words of Vox, the Senate is “a grotesquely unrepresentative body.” ThinkProgress deems it “an immoral, anti-democratic institution.” One reasonWashington Post columnist E.J. Dionne calls the ascension of Kavanugh to the high court a “coup” is that he was “confirmed by senators representing 44 percent of the population.”
Democrats have gone from bragging about their permanent majority a few years ago to complaining it’s impossible for them to win under the governing regime that we’ve had for more than 200 years, since it’s so tilted toward “minority rule.”
It’s certainly true that the Senate is not fully democratic and gives an outsized role to small states, since this was the price they exacted for signing on to the Constitution. This arrangement isn’t a conspiracy against the left.
Yes, Wyoming, population 560,000 in the 2010 census, cancels out California, population 37 million, with two Republican senators to the Golden State’s two Democrats. But Vermont, population 630,000, cancels out the two Republicans from Texas, population 25 million, with a Democrat and a socialist.

The Impeachment Process in US Government
Ben Franklin’s Better Way of Removing 'Obnoxious' Presidents
The impeachment process in U.S. government was first suggested by Benjamin Franklin during the Constitutional Convention in 1787. Noting that the traditional mechanism for removing “obnoxious” chief executives — like kings — from power had been assassination, Franklin glibly suggested the impeachment process as a more rational and preferable method.
Impeachment Process Fast Facts
The process of impeachment is established by the U.S. Constitution.
The impeachment process must be initiated in the House of Representatives with the passage of a resolution listing the charges or “Articles of Impeachment” against the official being impeached.
If passed by the House, the Articles of Impeachment are considered by the Senate in a trial presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, with the 100 Senators serving as the jury.
If the Senate votes in favor of conviction by a 2/3 supermajority vote (67 votes), the Senate will then vote to remove the official from office.
Under the U.S. Constitution, the President of the United States, the Vice President, and “and all civil Officers of the United States” may be impeached and removed from office if convicted of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” The Constitution also establishes the impeachment process.
Presidential impeachment may be the last thing you would ever think could happen in America. In fact, since 1841, over one-third of all American Presidents have either died in office, became disabled, or resigned. However, no American President has ever been forced from office due to impeachment.
Only four times in our history has Congress held serious discussions of presidential impeachment:

Shock report: US paying more for illegal immigrant births than Trump’s wall
Americans are paying more to cover the costs of illegal immigrants having children in the United States than Congress plans to give President Trump in border wall funding this year, according to an explosive new analysis of Census Bureau data.
The new report reveals that women in the United States illegally had 297,000 children in 2014 at a cost of $2.4 billion.
That is $800 million more than the Senate has approved for Trump’s border wall this year and enough to pay for the wall over 10 years.
