Democrats Unify Around Shutting Down White People

A Democratic National Committee candidate forum showed a party united in one theme: white people need to shut up.

A white female chair hopeful ventured forth to state her very job was to keep to her fellow Caucasians in their proper place at the Monday night event.

“My job is to shut other white people down when they want to say, ‘oh, no, I’m not prejudiced; I’m a Democrat; I’m accepting,'” Sally Boynton Brown, Idaho Democratic Committee chairwoman and DNC chair candidate, declared.

Bill: Make schools fly Mississippi’s Confederate-themed flag

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A bill advancing in the Mississippi House of Representatives would require all K-12 schools to fly the state flag or lose their state accreditation.

House Bill 280, passed 13-8 Wednesday in the House Education Committee, is a broader mandate that schools must follow the state Constitution and all state laws.

But one of Mississippi’s laws is an oft-flouted mandate that schools fly the banner, which includes the Confederate battle emblem in its upper left-hand corner. Districts, especially those with majority African-American student bodies, sometimes object to the flag as racist. One example of a district that doesn’t display the flag is the city of Jackson, Mississippi’s second-largest school system.

Trump’s Message: Go on the Attack and Stay on It

Ironically, it was a billionaire businessman who broke the mold in the 2016 presidential campaign and brought a new voice into Republican politics. Instead of focusing on taxes and regulations, Donald Trump took up the cause of the forgotten working class, promising to restore America’s industrial prowess and bring back the jobs that a corrupt elite with a globalist outlook had negotiated away in reckless trade deals that sent Americans to the back of the bus and squandered the prosperity they had created over generations. The same globalism expressed in Hillary Clinton’s “dream” of common markets and open borders had underwritten an invasion of illegal immigrants that was driving down American wages, destroying American sovereignty, and making American citizens vulnerable to the violence of hundreds of thousands of criminals crossing into the country illegally.

Equally groundbreaking was Trump’s bluntness in confronting the corruption of both parties for participating in a rigged system that left their constituencies out in the cold. The failure to secure the borders was a national disgrace in which both parties were complicit. In focusing on the hundreds of thousands of criminal aliens who had not been blocked at the borders and were not deported, he broke the silence imposed by the politically correct party line. In calling Clinton a “crook,” a “liar,” and the enabler of a sexual predator, he took her off the pedestal on which her gender and the Democrats’ fantasy of a Republican “war on women” had placed her. The double standard that protected women while pretending to “empower” them was gone. She and her hypocrisies were no longer untouchable. By speaking out against the Democrats’ rape of the inner cities and their treatment of their black constituents as second-class citizens, Trump burst a bubble that had protected Democrats from the consequences of their actions and opened the ranks of the Republican Party to “people of color.”

Trump’s readiness to go for the Democrats’ jugular rallied Republican voters frustrated by their leaders’ long-running deference to Democratic outrages and their willingness to keep their party on the defensive. It was this rallying of the Republican troops, who turned out in record crowds during the campaign, that led Trump to call what he had created a “movement.”

DNC Candidate: DNC Should Train People In ‘How to Shut Their Mouths If They’re White’

During Monday’s Democracy in Color DNC debate, Idaho Democratic Party Executive Director and DNC Chair candidate Sally Boynton Brown stated that “my job is to shut other white people down when they want to interrupt. My job is to shut other white people down when they want to say, oh, no, I’m not prejudiced. I’m a Democrat. I’m accepting.’ My job is to make sure that they get that they have privilege.” And argued the DNC should have training for people in “how to shut their mouths if they’re white.”

Brown said, “Black lives matter, and it makes me sad that we’re even having that conversation, and that tells me that white leaders in our party have failed"..

Ryan Invites Trump to Address a Joint Session of Congress

(CNSNews.com) - With a unified Republican government, "we have a unique opportunity to deliver results for the American people," House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) told a news conference on Tuesday.

He said Republicans look forward to laying out their agenda in the days and weeks ahead.

"To that end, today I am inviting President Trump to address a joint session of Congress on February the 28th. This will be an opportunity for the people and their representatives to hear directly from our new president about his vision and our shared agenda.

Trump will not be giving an official State of the Union address, but his speech will have the same effect. Likewise, President Barack Obama was invited to address a joint session of Congress in February 2009, the month after he first took office.

"This is an ambitious agenda and rightly so," Ryan continued. "For too long, Washington has been too timid about addressing the big challenges facing our country.

Planned Parenthood Admits: 'We Don't Offer Prenatal Care'

A damning new exposĂ© released by Live Action exposes Planned Parenthood for exactly what it is – an abortion mill that lies to the public for taxpayer dollars.

In its shocking new video, Live Action notes that Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards, along with other Planned Parenthood advocates and supporters, famously tout the organization’s role in providing health care – specifically including “prenatal care” – to millions of women, particularly those with low incomes. Defunding the group, they claim, would deprive countless women of these necessary services, including their ability to get pregnancy care.

So, Live Action decided to test this theory, calling Planned Parenthood clinics across the nation and posing as a patient seeking prenatal care. And they didn’t have much luck.

One Planned Parenthood worker at a clinic in Tempe, Arizona responded, “Planned Parenthood offers abortions, so they don’t offer prenatal care.”

“No, see, we don’t see pregnant women as a way of giving prenatal care, we see pregnant women, um, you know, if they are considering other options,” another employee at a Santa Fe clinic responded.

How Trump can defund 'sanctuary cities' protecting undocumented immigrants

White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Wednesday the Trump administration will direct the government to identify federal money that it can withhold to punish "sanctuary cities" — a term used to describe up to 300 communities that have policies protecting the nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants from deportation.

In what could become a major conflict between President Trump and local governments, the showdown on "sanctuary cities" likely will result in legal challenges testing how far the White House can go in dictating its priorities.

Trump will be armed with a range of powerful options, including federal lawsuits and the power to withhold hundreds of millions of dollars in grants that states and cities rely on.

"The Trump administration can largely get the results it is seeking and a real meaningful end to most of these sanctuary policies through a combination of carrots and sticks," said Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies, who has advised the Trump transition team on its immigration enforcement options. "The point is not to go around whacking all these little cities and counties, it's to get them to do the right thing. And for the die-hards, to confront them."

Border Patrol Union: Trump’s Border Plan ‘Gives Us the Tools We Need’

As President Donald J. Trump prepares to kick off his new border security plan, various news outlets have begun to criticize the effort by focusing on the border wall. However, members from the union representing the men and women from the U.S. Border Patrol stated that the proposal comes from listening to agents instead of politicians.

Various outlets have continued to question the notion of building a border wall and have focused on the perceived challenges of such an enterprise. Other outlets have criticized the effectiveness of the measure claiming that it does not address the current immigration crisis. The various news organizations have failed to mention the complete control that Mexican drug cartels have over human smuggling, narcotics trafficking, and other illicit activities along both sides of the border.

The executive orders that President Trump will be signing provides border security agents with the tools that they have been denied for too long, said Hector Garza, a U.S. Border Patrol agent and the President for the Local 2455 of the National Border Patrol Council. As part of the union’s leadership, Garza is able to speak about issues affecting the men and women that he represents.

Despite the many misconceptions by pundits and individuals who have not been to the border, a wall with the addition of new manpower, surveillance technology and other equipment will be an effective tool in slowing down illegal immigration and drug smuggling, Garza said.

“We know we won’t have a wall along the 2,000 miles of border,” he said. “What we will have is a wall where it is needed. That barrier with proper manpower, resources, technology and other tools will be effective. But most important, for the first time we have a president that wants to secure the border.”

‘Sanctuary Cities’ Undaunted by Trump Move to Cut Funding

SEATTLE (AP) — Politicians in New York, Seattle and other “sanctuary cities” that protect immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally declared Wednesday they won’t be intimidated by a move by President Donald Trump to cut off millions in federal funding to such communities.

Many cities vowed legal action, arguing that the threatened punishment would be unconstitutional. Boston Mayor Marty Walsh promised to let immigrants who feel threatened by the administration’s actions take shelter in City Hall if necessary.

“This city will not be bullied by this administration,” Seattle Mayor Ed Murray said, adding that he instructed city departments to rework their budgets to prepare for the possibility that federal dollars could be lost. “We believe we have the rule of law and the courts on our side.”

Top State Department officials asked to leave by Trump administration

Two senior officials said Thursday that the Trump administration told four top State Department management officials that their services were no longer needed as part of an effort to "clean house" at Foggy Bottom.
Patrick Kennedy, who served for nine years as the Undersecretary for Management, Assistant Secretary for Administration Joyce Anne Barr, Assistant Secretary for Consular Affairs Michele Bond and Ambassador Gentry Smith, director of the Office for Foreign Missions, were sent letters by the White House that their service was no longer required, the sources told CNN.
All four, career officers serving in positions appointed by the President, submitted letters of resignation per tradition at the beginning of a new administration. The letters from the White House said that their resignations were accepted and they were thanked for their service. The White House usually asks career officials in such positions to stay on for a few months until their successors are confirmed.
"Any implication that that these four people quit is wrong," one senior State Department official said. "These people are loyal to the secretary, the President and to the State Department. There is just not any attempt here to dis the President. People are not quitting and running away in disgust. This is the White House cleaning house."

Trump promises 'major investigation' into alleged voter fraud

President Trump announced Wednesday that he will be asking for a “major investigation” into alleged nationwide voter fraud -- a day after his press secretary was grilled on Trump’s claims that 3 million to 5 million people had voted illegally in November.

Trump announced the move on Twitter, and said the probe will focus on “those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and even those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time).”

Trump’s announcement comes a day after White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was forced to defend claims Trump had made at a private meeting with congressional leaders Monday that 3 million to 5 million people had illegally voted in the election.

The president took bipartisan criticism for the comments a day later, with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., saying he had seen "no evidence" of Trump's claim.

Spicer told the press that that is what Trump believes based on evidence presented to him. Spicer may be referring to a 2014 Washington Post “Monkey Cage” report which came to a similar conclusion. That study found that 14 percent of non-citizens in 2008 and 2010 indicated that they were registered to vote, and extrapolated that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent in 2010.

Md. man sentenced to life in prison for attack called ‘every woman’s worst nightmare’

ROCKVILLE, Md. — A Maryland man who was convicted of raping his sleeping neighbor at knifepoint has been sentenced to life in prison for the 2015 home invasion and sexual assault.

In September, a jury convicted Myles Bowersox, now 25, of multiple sexual offense counts and a count of home invasion in the November 2015 attack. The victim was a 63-year-old woman who lived in his Rockville apartment complex just off Twinbrook Parkway, and who suffered from schizoaffective disorder.

After fighting with his girlfriend, Bowersox entered the woman’s bedroom through a window in the early-morning hours, forced sex acts on her and, while holding a knife to her, said he would kill her if she told anyone, according to court documents.

Based on monitored phone calls that Bowersox made from jail, prosecutors believe that he mistook the woman’s mental disorder for dementia.

Google has banned 200 publishers under a new policy against fake news

Google kicked 200 publishers off one of its ad networks in the fourth quarter, partly in response to the proliferation of fake news sites.

The company banned the publishers from its AdSense network, an ad placement service that automatically serves text and display ads on participating sites based on its audience. The ban was part of an update to an existing policy that prohibits sites that mislead users with their content.

Google regularly weeds out advertisers for false or misleading claims, but impersonating news sites became an addition following the rapid rise of fake news, or propaganda sites. After the election, Google was blasted for placing a false story from a fake news site claiming Donald Trump had won the popular vote. (He had 2.8 million fewer votes than Hillary Clinton.)

Not all 200 publishers were swept up as part of the effort to root out fake news sites.

Publishers were banned in November and December and included sites that impersonate real news organizations through shortened top-level domains, according to Google’s 2016 “bad ads” report, normally released at the beginning of each year.

Soros And MasterCard Join Forces To Profit From Immigration

Radical currency speculator George Soros is scheming to profit from the illegal immigration crises in the United States and the European Union that he was instrumental in creating.

Soros traffics in revolution and human misery. His devious business deals have brought the financial systems of the United Kingdom and Malaysia to their knees. Soros helped finance the 1989 "Velvet Revolution" in then-Czechoslovakia. He acknowledged having orchestrated coups in Croatia, Georgia, Slovakia, and Yugoslavia.

Soros hates America. “The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States,” he has said. Soros praises Communist China effusively and has said the totalitarian nation—which cuts babies in unauthorized pregnancies from the wombs of their mothers, tortures and kills religious dissenters, and runs over eminent domain resisters with steam-rollers—has “a better-functioning government than the United States.” In the U.S. he has financed the violent, politically destabilizing Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter movements.

Now the preeminent funder of border-busting campaigns in the U.S. and overseas has entered into a partnership with credit card giant MasterCard Inc. to create something called Humanity Ventures.

Gingrich: Dems Have 'Big Vested Interest' in Allowing Voter Fraud

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Wednesday denied that President Donald Trump has an obsession with the numbers that came into play with his popular vote, but Democrats who are complaining may have a "big vested interest" in allowing voter fraud to take place.

"Any time we talk about making sure that only live people vote and only citizens vote, Democrats jump up and down and scream, yell 'racist' and try to convince us we aren't allowed to ask for an honest election," Gingrich told Fox News' "America's Newsroom" program. "That tells me they think they have a big vested interest in having zones of illegality in our election process."

AP Throws Temper Tantrum Over ‘Snub’ by Trump Press Secretary Spicer

If it hadn’t grasped it before, the Washington press corps is now on notice that President Donald Trump’s press briefing room is not going to be run the same way Obama’s was, and no one had a worse reaction than the Associated Press when it found another media outlet being picked first in this week’s pressers.

In the past, the 170-year-old news wire service was the first to be called at every press conference in the White House briefing room. But during his January 23 press conference, Trump Press Secretary Sean Spicer called on a reporter from The New York Post instead.

If that didn’t spin the AP up, the January 24 presser did when Spicer gave his first question to conservative website LifeZette.com, a site founded by conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham.

The AP was so upset that after the press conference, it posted a story about LifeZette.com that contained several errors.

Wallace Zaps the AP's Julie Pace Over Her Trump Financial Transparency Comments

At the end of the panel discussion on the most recent Fox News Sunday, host Chris Wallace asked the Associated Press's Julie Pace how big of a deal she thought President-Elect Donald Trump's "transparency" in moving away from direct involvement in his business interests would be.

Her answer came across to me as self-important, given that she basically said that the she and the press were going to consistently report on it "whether they (the public) care about it or not." Wallace appeared to react similarly. His response to her answer was delicious, especially because it ended the segment: "I think Donald Trump's going to determine his own interests, not Julie Pace."

Ouch.

New Jersey Man Charged with Negligent Operation in Connection with Fatal Boating Accident

The driver of a pontoon boat involved in a fatal accident in Ocean City last summer has been charged with negligent operation.

A criminal summons was issued Friday for Dustin Daniel Healey, 26, of Freehold, New Jersey, after a Worcester County District Court Commissioner found probable cause for the charge.

Healey was at the controls of the rented pontoon boat in Sinepuxent Bay Aug. 17, when Kadin Frederick, 9, of Howell, New Jersey, slipped from the bow and into the path of the propeller. Despite the effort of good Samaritans and first responders, the boy died from multiple gashes.

Frederick was one of four people sitting in front of the safety railing with his legs dangling above the water – known as bow riding. The activity is illegal in Maryland.

Healey told investigators that he knew passengers were sitting on the bow but could not see Frederick from the boat’s controls and was only alerted to the boy’s fall only when other passengers began screaming.

Thousands of Terrorists, Foreign Fighters Tried to Enter America, New Data Shows

The Department of Homeland Security stopped more than 22,000 “high-risk” travelers from entering the United States in 2015, but officials remain uncertain about how effective these security screening methods are, opening the possibility that risky individuals such as terrorists are still being approved for entry into America, according to a new government report highlighting these flaws.

More than 8,100 “known or suspected terrorists, or individuals with connections to known or suspected terrorists, attempted to apply for travel to the United States or board U.S.-bound flights” in 2015, according to the report, which chides U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for failing to determine how effective its current screening methods are.

The report, authored by the Government Accountability Office, details potential flaws in CBP’s pre-flight screening methods and recommends the agency make a greater effort to measure the effectiveness of its pre-departure investigative process.

Officials noted that CBP’s process has become increasingly critical as a greater number of foreign terrorists and fighters attempt to fly into the United States and exploit security gaps in the agency’s methods.

10 Things We All Did in School That Are Banned for Kids Today

Things sure have changed from when I was a kid in the '80s! I was contemplating the "rules" for my kindergartner's Halloween party at school and it dawned on me how much has changed from when I was in elementary school. There are so many things they can't or don't do anymore and some are kind of sad.

10. Playing Dodgeball at Recess

I remember racing Justin Thompson everyday from the top of the stairs all the way down to the far tennis court to see who would get there first. Everyone wanted the far court to play a tough game of dodgeball. I still remember the smell and sound of that red gym ball as we would wind up to strike our victims. It was glorious. Too bad my kids won't ever know what a good dodgeball victory feels like because it's been banned by most schools for being too dangerous. Somebody may break their face off. What a pity.

Media Covers Fake Mike Flynn Story, Ignores Bombshell on Secret Obama/Iran Meetings

If mainstream media truly wishes to repair its image with the general public, these outlets must recognize they do not merely suffer from a "bubble" reinforced by overwhelmingly liberal staffing, or from supposedly insufficient outreach to working class communities.

The mainstream's issues are apparent in their content choices, suggesting an intractable problem. Following decades of allowing the Democratic Party to select the day's narrative, they possess no measure of professional competence for objectively judging the importance of information.

The media's remarkably different responses to the following two stories offer a definitive example:

1. Retired Lt. General Michael Flynn, President Trump's national security adviser, made a series of phone calls and texts to Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak on December 29, 2016. On that day, then-President Barack Obama had revealed that he was issuing sanctions against Russia for its supposed hacking of the Democratic National Committee.

2. Per the Washington Free Beacon: "Two high-level Iranian government backers, including a former Islamic Republic official and another accused of lobbying on Tehran’s behalf, were hosted at the Obama White House for more than 30 meetings with top officials at key junctures in the former administration’s contested diplomacy with Iran ...

Falcons Head Coach, Salisbury Alum Dan Quinn Makes University Proud

Super Bowl LI will provide a handful of local ties for sports fans from Maryland.

New England Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona is a Naval Academy alum drafted by Patriots head coach Bill Belichick -- the son of former Navy assistant Steve Belichick. University of Maryland alum Darius Kilgo could be a Super Bowl champion for the second time in just his second NFL season -- the defensive tackle is on the Patriots' practice squad after being on the Denver Broncos' 53-man roster a season ago. Baltimore native Cyrus Jones has struggled during his first season as a cornerback/return specialist for New England but could also get a ring.

The Atlanta Falcons' roster features former Ravens linebacker Courtney Upshaw and guard Chris Chester, as well as former Maryland defensive tackle Joe Vellano. Atlanta's tight ends coach, Wade Harman, previously served in the same capacity with the Ravens as well. And then there's one other local connection you might not be quite as aware of.

Not only is Atlanta head coach Dan Quinn an alum of Salisbury University, he is one of the more accomplished athletes in Sea Gulls football history. Quinn was a four-year starter from 1990-93 and two-year captain. He also ran track and field, representing then-Salisbury State in the hammer throw at the 1994 NCAA championships.

It was at Salisbury he began to mold his future as a coach, paying close attention to his own head football coach, Joe Rotellini, and also to head Salisbury lacrosse coach Jim Berkman, who would win the first of his 11 national championships during Quinn's senior year.

Are You Ready For An Inflationary Depression?

We are heading into a new depression. It is not coming. It is already here but we are only in the beginning so it may not be easy for many people to see just yet. Once it is easy to see it will be too late for any meaningful actions to mitigate the effects. Just as you must prepare for a tornado ahead of time, you must prepare for economic conditions early.

We have 20 trillion in debt, over 200 trillion in unfunded liabilities and over a quadrillion in derivatives held by the banks. Our GDP is only about 17 trillion a year and world GDP is only about 60 trillion. It does not take a math wiz to realize that even if we are not paying any interest at all on this massive debt, there is no way to ever pay it all back short of some type of default.

That is what depressions do. They wipe out all of the misallocation of resources and bad debt and provide a reset for the economy. These resets can be relatively easy or they can be very destructive depending on the amount of misallocation that is present in the system. The amount of debt, brought on by decades of unrestricted credit creation, is the largest in history. That means we are in for a very bad ride in the near future.

Much of the money that people think they have is really only made up of digits in some computer somewhere. The banking industry has already taken this money for its own use. To eliminate the need to ever give it back to the rightful owners they must destroy these digits. That is what the new bail-ins are all about. They can at some point just wipe all of those digits out of existence and say tough luck suckers.

Maryland Among States Eyeing School Bus Seat Belts

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) — Maryland is one of more than a dozen states where school seat belt measures are on the legislative agenda this year.

A bill that would require school buses to have seat belts is being considered by lawmakers in Washington. It would mandate that all public and private school buses purchased after the bill takes effect have a safety belt for each rider.

California, Florida, Louisiana, New Jersey, New York and Texas have existing variations of a seat belt law for school buses, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. At least 17 states, including Washington, have introduced legislation regarding seat belts on school buses in the 2017 sessions.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approximately 23.5 million children use school buses to get to and from school and school-related activities. On average, six school-age children die each year in school bus crashes as passengers.

#OscarsSoWhite Crisis Averted: Record Number of Black Actors Nominated

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has learned its lesson after last year's drubbing by social justice warriors. From Variety:

After last year’s nominations spawned #OscarsSoWhite, all eyes were on the Academy Award nominations Tuesday – and in stark contrast to 2016, this year proved to be a much stronger year for diversity, both in front of and behind the camera.

While no actors of color were nominated the last two years, this year saw every acting category recognizing a person of color. A record-tying (with 2007) seven minority actors were recognized, including a record-setting six black actors.

The quality of nominated work is not addressed by the article. That is because #OscarsSoWhite -- like so much racial rhetoric -- has nothing whatsoever to do with merit.

Trump Undercuts Bipartisan Effort with Voter Fraud Claim

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Even as President Donald Trump starts reaching out to lawmakers and business and union leaders to sell his policies, he's still making false claims about election fraud.

During a bipartisan reception with lawmakers at the White House Monday evening, Trump claimed the reason he'd lost the popular vote to his Democratic rival was that 3 million to 5 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally had voted. That's according to a Democratic aide familiar with the exchange who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the private meeting.

There is no evidence to support Trump's claim.

The assertion appeared to be part of a developing pattern for Trump and his new administration in which falsehoods overshadow outreach efforts.

Comptroller's Office Opens New Regional Call Center at Sea Gull Square

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University President Janet Dudley-Eshbach welcomed Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot and other dignitaries for the ribbon cutting of the state’s first remote customer call center at Sea Gull Square on the University campus.

“I am so proud to be a Marylander,” the President told a standing room only audience, praising the bipartisan efforts of Franchot and the elected officials from both parties present. She also lauded the work of the Comptroller’s staff, including Chief of Staff Len Foxwell, an SU alumnus. The Maryland office has been recognized nationally for the quality and speed of its service to taxpayers.

The call center brings 25 new jobs to the region.

Franchot, who was born in Connecticut, is fond of referring to SU as the “Yale University of Maryland” when addressing campus audiences, a goal the SU President smilingly referred to as “aspirational.”

Salisbury Mayor Jake Day said, “I don’t think it’s a bad thing to be aspirational,” as he spoke about the City’s goals for downtown redevelopment. The Mayor praised the teamwork of the Comptroller and also the President’s transformation of the campus Route 13 skyline, something he’d like done for downtown.

Maryland Lawmakers Filing ‘End Of Life Options’ Bill

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland lawmakers will be sponsoring legislation to allow terminally ill patients to end their own lives by self-ingesting drugs prescribed by a doctor.Supporters are meeting with legislators Wednesday, when lawmakers will introduce legislation.

It would allow mentally capable, terminally ill patients with six months or fewerto live the option to obtain prescription medication, if their suffering became unbearable.

Interstate crash in Maryland as motorcade passes; 1 dead

When Patricia Nazzal videotaped a congressional motorcade passing her car on Interstate 70, she ended up documenting a fatal crash just ahead of her.

Maryland State Police said one person was killed Wednesday morning in a four-vehicle crash as other motorists stopped for the motorcade on westbound I-70 at the ramp from northbound Interstate 270.

Police had not released the identity of the person who died as of late Wednesday night.

The motorcade was part of a trip by U.S. Senate Democrats to Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where they gathered Wednesday for a retreat. Authorities did not say who was in the vehicles in the motorcade that was connected to the crash.

Nazzal, who lives in Frederick, said she pulled over on I-70 because she saw an officer on a motorcycle gesturing for traffic to move to the right. While she waited, she started videotaping because she thought the motorcade might include the president or someone else prominent.

FAKE NEWS: "The Trump effect" in Canada: Testing how we react to racism and intolerance

It seems that the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Marketplace show was unable to find a racist Trump supporter. Instead, they hired an actor named Mike to portray one as you shall see. Mike's job as a racist Trump supporter was to sell a couple of White Power T-shirts along with a "Make Canada Great Again" T-shirt. It was their laughably unsubtle attempt to link Donald Trump to racism. NARRATOR: Meet mike. He's an actor about to play the most uncomfortable role of his career. The fake news actor then described the role he is about to play: MIKE: Let me get into character. I'll say "make Canada great again. Worldwide white power." Things like that. Strong words. Words that I never expect to come out of my mouth but it is a role. Key word is "role" because this is fake news. More

Conservatives are peaceful, law-abiding people but we must stand up to militant bullies

Inauguration Day was turned into Retribution Day as hordes of angry leftists set fires, smashed windows and clashed with police to protest President Donald Trump.

It was the kind of reaction I predicted in my new book, “The Deplorables’ Guide to Making America Great Again.”

Rampaging mobs caused mayhem across the fruited plain – but especially in our nation’s capital. In several instances, conservatives were attacked outside Inaugural balls.

Some were left bloodied and battered. Police were pelted with rocks and batteries. Many businesses were vandalized. Car windows were smashed and a limo was set ablaze.

One group of violent thugs spat on and assaulted a Gold Star widow and her sister. They were attacked as they tried to enter the Veterans Inaugural Ball.

It’s all part of an effort to destabilize the nation and delegitimize President Trump’s victory.

The following day scores of self-described “nasty” women, held profane gatherings across the country to protest the new president.

Senate Votes to Require Women to Register for the Draft

WASHINGTON — In the latest and perhaps decisive battle over the role of women in the military, Congress is embroiled in an increasingly intense debate over whether they should have to register for the draft when they turn 18.

On Tuesday, the Senate approved an expansive military policy bill that would for the first time require young women to register for the draft. The shift, while fiercely opposed by some conservative lawmakers and interest groups, had surprisingly broad support among Republican leaders and women in both parties.

The United States has not used the draft since 1973 during the Vietnam War. But the impact of such a shift, reflecting the evolving role of women in the armed services, would likely be profound.

Trump is no saint, but media are hardly without sin

Secret Service agent who suggested she wouldn't take 'a bullet' for Trump expelled from group for retired agents

The premier association for former U.S. Secret Service agents Wednesday expelled the special agent who suggested she wouldn't take "a bullet" to defend President Trump because she considered him "a disaster" for the country.

DELINGPOLE: The Trump Effect -- CDC Cancels Major Climate Change Conference

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has cancelled a major conference on climate changenext month.

This is unquestionably a result of the Trump Effect: the CDC is one of many US federal agencies which have been forced rapidly to adjust their priorities under a presidential administration which does not see man-made climate change as a significant issue.

According to The Hill:

The cancelled summit was intended to teach public health officials more about climate change, an idea that is widely backed by climate scientists. Former President Barack Obama made it a key focus of his administration.

And this is exactly the problem which has beset so many public (and indeed private) institutions so long. From CDC to NASA to Departments from the Interior to Defense, government offshoots in the US — infiltrated by green entryists from below and encouraged by irresponsible prioritizing from above — have engaged in climate change activism which has nothing whatsoever to do with their core remit

Kellyanne Conway to Speak at the 44th Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on January 27th

Washington, D.C. – The March for Life announced today that Kellyanne Conway, President of the polling company, inc./WomanTrend, and highest-ranking woman in President-elect Trump’s administration, will speak at the 44th annual March for Life, the world’s largest annual pro-life demonstration, in Washington, D.C. on January 27th, 2017.

Conway will join other notable speakers including Archbishop of New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan, former Planned Parenthood Director and founder of ‘And Then There Were None’ Abby Johnson, Mexican Telenovela star Karyme Lozano, author and radio host Eric Metaxas, Bishop Vincent Matthews of the Church of God in Christ, who advocates for adoption in the African-American community, and more at the March for Life rally on the National Mall on January 27th, 2017.

“We are thrilled to have Kellyanne Conway speak at this year’s March for Life. As the first female to run a successful presidential campaign and as a steadfast advocate for life and family issues, Kellyanne beautifully embodies the 2017 March for Life’s theme, ‘The Power of One’,” says Jeanne Mancini, President of March for Life.

“Our other speakers also personify ‘The Power of One’ theme and show how one person has the power to change the world and saves lives,” Mancini concluded. “It is our hope that this year’s March for Life will encourage each of us to seek and fulfill our unique mission to the best of our ability because only in doing so we will collectively build a culture of life in the U.S. — a culture where abortion is unthinkable.”

Aspartame in Diet Soda Linked to Significant Health Issues, Tumors

They’re a popular mealtime beverage for millions of people who believe that by drinking them, they’re avoiding the pitfalls of sugar consumption. But diet soda pop is neither healthy nor safe, as research continues to show that its primary sweetening constituent in most cases, aspartame, is a damaging neurotoxin that can lead to a host of chronic health issues, including cancer.

The largest study of its kind ever conducted on aspartame was put together by researchers from the University of Iowa. They looked at 60,000 women who consumed aspartame-laden diet beverages over the course of 10 years and found that those who consume two or more diet drinks per day are significantly more prone than other women to develop cardiovascular disease — and to die from it.

The paper compared the health outcomes of women who consume diet beverages to those who don’t, observing that those who do are 30 percent more likely to suffer some kind of cardiovascular event such as a heart attack or stroke. Among those who suffer such a fate, those who consume aspartame are 50 percent more likely to die from it compared to non-diet beverage drinkers.

Father of Son Murdered by Illegal Immigrant: Trump is Only Person in Government Who Listened

President Donald Trump met with families who have been victimized by illegal immigrant crime on Wednesday, and pledged the support of the Department of Homeland Security.

“For years, the media has largely ignored the stories of Americans and lawful residents victimized by open borders,” Trump said in a speech at the Department of Homeland Security. “To all of those hurting out there, I repeat to you these words: We hear you. We see you — and you will never, ever be ignored again.”

Dan Golvach, whose son was killed by an illegal immigrant in January 2015, told FOX Business Network’s Liz MacDonald this is first time a government official acknowledged his son’s death.

“It appears to me [Trump] is not wasting any time,” he said. “I just have to say I think that he is sincere.”

The 2017 "Davos Consensus" - More Welfare And More Warfare

“It’s a big club and you ain’t in it!”

I often think of these words, spoken by the great comedian George Carlin, when I read about the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

Every year, global elites descend on Davos to discuss the big issues of the day in a Bilderberg-like conclave. This year, George Soros was there. So was Bill Gates.

The most important world leaders go. As do CEOs of the world’s largest companies, mainstream media bigwigs, and prominent academics. Central bankers attend, too.

In short, it’s a bunch of out-of-touch, self-anointed elites meeting to hand down from above their uniformly bad “solutions” to the world’s problems. Then they pat each other on the back for all the good they’re doing.

No matter the problem, their prescription is always more welfare, more warfare, more money printing, more taxes, and of course, more centralization of power into global institutions.

Interestingly, Donald Trump has never been invited to Davos. But his many opponents surely have.

This year, former Vice President Joe Biden gave a provocative speech. He accused Russia of trying to “collapse the liberal international order.” It was basically a call to arms and only increased tensions.

Rising populism was another hot topic. The Davos crowd sees it as a huge threat.

Some Uber Drivers Sleep In Their Cars So They Can Work In Expensive Cities

If you want to be successful at driving for Uber, Lyft or some similar service, it’s important to not only put in a lot of hours behind the wheel, but to do so in a city where you’re likely to also have a passenger in the backseat. Problem is, dense urban areas where residents have disposable income may be out of your price range. Some drivers are getting around this by spending their brief downtime sleeping in their cars.

Feds: No Proof That ‘Breathometer’ Blood Alcohol Content Test Actually Works

The Breathometer promised to be a pocket-sized law-enforcement-grade device that could be used to accurately measure blood alcohol levels to determine if the user is sober enough to drive. It’s a good enough idea that it won over the panel on Shark Tank, but according to federal regulators, the only thing you can definitely say about this device is that it does fit in your pocket.
