Neighborhood Code & Compliance Services Anniversary

It was one year ago today that the Neighborhood Code & Compliance Services officially opened their doors. Hmmmmm, the Mayor seems to be copping a pretty serious squeeze there again, eh?

New Blog, Average Girl In Average World

There's another New Blog on the Eastern Shore, An Average Girl In Average World.

2007 Winter Wonderland Of Lights

Although the crowd this year wasn't 1/4 of what it was last year, many came out to enjoy the festivities. Enjoy the photos.

Santa Had Big Ears Last Night

The children were lined up to get in a word with THE MAN.

The Christmas Boat Parade Was A Beautiful Success

As you can clearly see, this Parade was a huge success with people lined up everywhere along the river to get a peek. I even saw Bob Culver cruising along in his new yacht sporting County Councilman John Cannon and Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis. After spending hours in the cold over at the Park, I almost didn't go to this event but I'm glad I did. It was well worth coming all the way back again from Delmar, DE.

Is Lynn Cathcart Actually Disguised As Mistletoe?

No matter where I bring my camera, if Lynn Cathcart is present, everyone is hugging and kissing?

Seriously though. How Kosher is it for these people to kiss and hug in public on a regular basis? In this photo the Mayor is hugging and kissing Council Vise President Gary Comegys.

I mean, better them than me but I just think there's something VERY unprofessional about hugging and kissing with co-workers. What's your thoughts on that?

Take A Wild GUESS Where I Was At Taking These Photos?

The first photo, (although dark) shows 3 ambulances in one location. So Am I parked at Station 16? Then there's the Suburban & Crown Vic, still think I'm at Station 16? Pickup Trucks, trailers, glow stick reflections in the last picture, that would be the strips on Fire Fighters jackets.

While many of you were sitting at home cuddling up to a warm fire and watching TV, it seems the entire Fire Department, paid and volunteers were parked BEHIND a building directly on the river hiding their vehicles. That is, until they found out Joe Albero was there. All if a sudden the sound of diesel engines were in harmony and vehicles were flying out of there like 9-11 all over again.

Yes, the entire Fire Department was there to watch the Boat Parade. Now I can see why these guys want a new Boat. It's NOT because they want to top anyone there. It's because it takes some 40 Fire Men to unload and load their boat onto its trailer. My God guys, if I would have only known! LOL

Seriously though, these guys/gals deserve a break like everyone else and last night they took some time out to enjoy the parade. Who's my MOLE now Chiefy?

Parking Is Out Of Control

Although there's a really cool new Shop that opened at this location, they have been completely out of line where parking is concerned. Pretty much daily there are vehicles parked in this spot and they are not parking spaces. I have kept quiet about it so far because they're a new store. However, people were having such a difficult time getting around it yesterday, these people need to buy parking passes with the City and start parking in the lot behind Parker Place.

Could The Mayor Own That "We Pay Cash For Homes" Company?

I see these signs everywhere and one has to wonder just who has their hands in this company? I'll bet if these signs said SBYNEWS.COM on them I'd not only be fined, they'd be instantly pulled. This photo was taken last night at Main Street & Rt. 13.
