Kate Manizade Responds To Mr Jon Natelson’s Letter To The Editor
December 11, 2006
Editor, The Daily Times
One Times Square
115 E. Carroll Street
Salisbury, MD 21801
Dear Sir:
Mr Jon Natelson’s response to my LTE contained only one correct statement: his property has been under a BHZ Condemnation Order since July 2005, and under a Demolition Order since July 2006. He is being disingenuous by pointing out my error on the date of the standing Demolition Order, because he then doesn’t bother to clarify the situation.
After the Condemnation Order of 2005, his property has been the source of numerous nuisance calls to the Salisbury Fire and Police Departments, and has only recently been boarded up, providing minimal prevention of infestation by undesirables. There is no indication that he and Dzaman plan to have their eyesore down by the deadline of January 5, 2007. Again, I contend that no resident homeowner would have been granted the clemency that he and Michael Dzaman have received, and for them to require a TIF in order to demolish the property they have allowed to go blighted is to abuse the use of TIF laws.Kate Manizade
