Cities Spreading Brain Disease With Sewage

Time To Reform Wastewater Management

Thanks to flawed risk assessments, cities are spreading an unstoppable pathogen when they spread sewage sludge on land. It’s time to reclassify sewage sludge and biosolids as infectious waste and put it in landfills, not on farms, ranches, forests, golf courses, school grounds and parks. As scientists have been saying for years, sewage sludge isn’t fertilizer–it’s toxic waste, nuclear waste and infectious waste all rolled into one.

Neurodegenerative disease, including Alzheimer’s disease, is the fastest-growing cause of death in the world. It’s getting worse every day thanks to mismanagement and misinformation.

Infectious proteins known as prions are involved with most forms of neurodegenerative disease. Prion disease is known in neurology as transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE). The operative word is “transmissible.” Prions are a deadly and unstoppable form of protein that migrates, mutates, multiplies and kills with unparalleled efficiency. The global TSE epidemic has more to do with the prion contagion than age.

Americans Spent Nearly $150 Billion On Illegal Drugs Last Year

The U.S. opioid crisis has been making headlines again this week after pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson was fined $572 for fuelling the epidemic in Oklahoma in a historic ruling.

As Statista's Niall McCarthy notes, last year, drug overdoses claimed more than 68,000 American lives and 47,000 of those deaths involved an opioid. Even though heroin, prescription opioids and synthetic opioids like fentanyl are receiving most of the attention, deaths from other drugs like cocaine and methamphetamine are increasing.

A new report from the RAND Corporation has shed light on just how many people use illicit drugs across America as well as how much they pay for them.

Harassing The Police

Retirees Could Receive Tricare Refund Check

Military retirees who paid annual Tricare Prime enrollment fees in 2018 or 2019 could soon see a refund check in the mail, thanks to a new change to how the system calculates their annual out-of-pocket maximum payment.

The annual maximum out-of-pocket payment, or "catastrophic cap," for any retiree family with a service member who joined the military before Jan. 1, 2018, is set at $3,000. For those who joined after Jan. 1, 2018, the annual retiree cap is about $3,600. Those users pay about $600 per year for plan enrollment, while future retirees will pay close to $1,000.

After a set of sweeping Tricare reforms went into effect in 2018, the annual fee paid by retirees to use Tricare Prime no longer counted toward the yearly out-of-pocket max. That meant some families were faced with an increase of about $600 in their yearly Tricare spending.

At Least 10 Teenagers Shot at Alabama High School Football Game

A shooting at a high school football game in Alabama has left at least ten teenagers wounded, according to police.

The incident occurred on Friday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama, soon after the game between Leflore and Williamson high schools.

According to the Hill:
Police said the victims, all between ages 15 and 18, were taken to local hospitals, according to the outlet. About half of them are in critical condition with non-life threatening injuries, WKRG reported.

Authorities said later Saturday morning that they have arrested Deangelo Parnell, 17, in connection with the shooting. Parnell is charged with nine counts of attempted murder, police told WKRG.

Police are questioning witnesses as they continue to investigate the shooting.

DNC Belittles Americans of Faith

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) unanimously passed a resolution August 24 that embraced “religiously unaffiliated” voters and belittled Americans of faith.

The resolution proclaimed that 70 percent of “religiously unaffiliated” Americans share the values of the Democrat Party.

‘The religiously unaffiliated demographic represents the largest religious group within the Democratic Party, growing from 19% in 2007 to one in three today,” stated the resolution, passed during the DNC’s summer meeting in San Francisco.

In a reach for secularists or the non-religious, the Democrats pointed out “religiously unaffiliated Americans overwhelmingly share the Democrat Party’s values, with 70% voting for Democrats in 2018, 80% supporting same-sex marriage, and 61% saying immigrants make American society stronger.”

The DNC further embraced and defended the non-religious, asserting they “have often been subjected to unfair bias and exclusion in American society, particularly in the areas of politics and policy-making where assumptions of religiosity have long predominated.”

An inside look at Waffle House’s Hurricane Dorian war room

This may look like the National Hurricane Center, but the people in this room have only one thing on their minds: keeping the waffle irons hot!

The honchos at Waffle House — whose closures are used by FEMA to gauge the severity of natural disasters with a so-called “Waffle House Index” — huddled in their war room Friday tracking Hurricane Dorian as it barreled toward Florida.

The 24-hour Southern breakfast chain enlisted a team of weather experts at its Georgia-based “storm room” to decide if they should shutter any restaurants, a rep for the firm said.

The officials were glued to the Weather Channel, along with hyper-focused storm tracking software, as they munched a lunch of patty melts, grilled chicken sandwiches and — what else? — waffles from the restaurant, said public relations director Pat Warner.

New Citizenship Policy to Affect Roughly 25 Military Children Per Year, Officials Say

Following the disastrous rollout of a policy this week that delineates U.S. residency requirements for the purpose of U.S. citizenship as it applies to children born abroad, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on Thursday sought to clarify the changes, saying in a conference call with reporters that its data indicate the measure would have affected only "20 to 25 children a year."

The policy, issued Wednesday, spells out what the department deems residency in terms of U.S. citizenship considerations of offspring born overseas.

Under the policy, which goes into effect Oct. 29, 2019, children born abroad to U.S. citizens who meet the following conditions "are not considered to be residing in the U.S. for acquisition of citizenship" and must file an application for citizenship:

No, the Electoral College Is Not ‘Affirmative Action’ for Rural Voters

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez loves to hate on the Electoral College. Once again, she has the nation up in arms about America’s unique presidential election system.

The Electoral College, the New York Democrat said on Instagram last week, is a “scam” that “effectively weighs white voters over voters of color.” Then on Friday afternoon, she doubled down, tweeting that the Electoral College is nothing more than “affirmative action” for rural voters.

In her view, rural areas are too white—and too powerful in presidential elections.

Seventh Illegal Alien Arrested In Montgomery County On Sexual Abuse Charges

Emilio Carrasco-Hernandez was arrested in Montgomery County, Maryland, for allegedly raping a minor, making him at least the seventh illegal alien to be recently arrested for sex crimes.

Carrasco-Hernandez, a 37-year-old Honduran national, was arrested by local authorities for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl, according to a police report first obtained by ABC 7 News. He was previously deported from the U.S. in April 2017, but was able to re-enter the country sometime afterward.

Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations began looking into sexual abuse allegations against Carrasco-Hernandez on Aug. 25, the date when the attack allegedly took place. The 15-year-old girl was in her grandmother’s bedroom when Carrasco-Hernandez allegedly pulled down her pants and underwear, and began to bite down on her breasts, according to the police report.

Ocean City Loses Their “Rock” with Passing of Longtime City Solicitor, Guy Ayres III

Ocean City, Maryland – (August 31, 2019): It’s with a heavy heart the Town of Ocean City announces the passing of longtime City Solicitor, Guy R. Ayres III. Ayres, a true icon in our municipal government, passed away at his home in the early hours of Saturday, August 31.

A dedicated and passionate public servant, Ayres served the Town of Ocean City for more than four decades. After being admitted to the bar in 1971, he was later elected to City Council on September 18, 1978. Four years later, on January 4, 1982, Ayres was appointed to City Solicitor, a position he held with integrity and devotion until the day of this death.

“Guy’s passing is a tremendous loss for his family, friends and for the Town of Ocean City,” commented Mayor Rick Meehan. “His love, compassion and knowledge can never be replaced. Guy was our rock.”

With 37 years of service as City Solicitor, Ayres truly was a “rock” in our town government. Nearly memorizing the city code, Ayres could recite ordinances and reflect on past motions with institutional knowledge and experience unlike anyone else. Along with his work with the Town, Ayres also was a partner with the law firm of Ayres, Jenkins, Gordy & Almand. His practice areas included Municipal Law, Administrative Law, Real Estate, and Civil Litigation, which he used to litigate hundreds of cases for the Town of Ocean City.

“As we join Kay, Courtney, Chase and Chip, along with the entire Ayres family, in mourning Guy’s passing, we also celebrate the life and fond memories of our beloved friend and City Solicitor,” Mayor Meehan continued. “Though he is no longer with us in person, his legacy and enormous spirit will live on in Ocean City forever.”

GOHMERT: Inspector General Glosses Over Some Ugly Truths About The FBI

The Justice Department Office of the Inspector General’s report released Aug. 29 clearly stated that James Comey violated and abused FBI policies in managing memos in which he supposedly documented confidential conversations with the president. This is a revelation that most of us have known for quite some time.

However, Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz has yet again glossed over some major problems.

It appears that the main reason Horowitz concludes former FBI Director James Comey only violated his FBI Employment Agreement and DOJ/FBI “policies” was because the documents he kept, disclosed, and leaked to improper parties were not considered truly classified. That apparently keeps them from being serious enough to prosecute. So, who made the decision that they were not classified? The answer would be outrageous if it were not virtually farcical.

People Are Leaving New York City More Than Any Other US City

Scores of people are leaving the New York City area behind every day.

New York leads all U.S. metro areas as the largest net loser with 277 people moving every day — more than double the exodus of 132 just one year ago. Los Angeles and Chicago were next with triple digit daily losses of 201 and 161 residents, respectively.

This is according to 2018 Census data on migration flows to the 100 largest U.S. metropolitan areas compiled by Bloomberg News.

At the other end of the spectrum, seven cities had on average more than 100 new arrivals every day. Dallas, Phoenix, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Austin saw substantial inflows from both domestic and international migration. Sun Belt cities Houston and Miami claimed the eighth and ninth spots in the ranking. Seattle was the only cold-weather destination among the top 10.

Younger Workers Report Biggest Gains in Happiness With Pay

The share of American workers satisfied with their paychecks rose last year, and “the biggest leap came from millennials and Generation Z, whose enthusiasm for their compensation shot from 36% in 2017 to nearly 46% a year later,” Lauren Weber reports forThe Wall Street Journal.

“In all, nearly 54% of U.S. workers said they were satisfied with their jobs in 2018, the highest share reported in more than two decades.”

President Donald J. Trump canceled a planned trip to Poland this weekend “to remain stateside as a potentially major hurricane takes aim at Florida,” Caitlin Oprysko reports forPolitico. “'It's something very important for me to be here,” the President said, adding that he wants “to ensure that all resources of the federal government are focused on the arriving storm.” Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Poland in President Trump’s place.
“Two years ago, former FBI Director James Comey came out with a book that celebrated himself as a paragon of ‘ethical leadership,’” George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley writes in The Hill. “If that is the case, the new Justice Department inspector general report released on Thursday establishes that Comey is the very antithesis of the ethical leader he described. Comey was found to have violated both federal law and regulations for his own gain, and he made critical decisions that put personal over institutional interests.”
Ever since President Trump insisted that China halt exports of illicit opioids to the United States, the flow of lethal fentanyl-style drugs coming to America from China has collapsed, David Fickling writes for Bloomberg. “It could be that 2019 is the year when the U.S. finally started to turn the tide in the opium war,” he says. “What’s more, the success may be coming as a result of that most improbable activity, cooperation between the U.S. and Chinese governments.”
“To say that many liberal elites have all but given up on educating low-income minorities might seem like an overstatement. But when you consider the state of public education in our inner cities, and the priorities of those in charge, it’s hard to draw any other conclusion,” Jason Riley writes in The Wall Street Journal. The racial achievement gap is a main driver of inequality in New York City, for example, where Democrat Mayor Bill De Blasio is looking to shut down the charter schools where mostly low-income students have passage rates of greater than 90 percent for math and English.

Individual Who Planned Attack in Queens Charged with Attempting to Provide Material Support to ISIS

Awais Chudhary Recorded Videos and Took Photos of

Marina in Preparation for an Attack

A criminal complaint filed today in federal court in Brooklyn charged Awais Chudhary, 19, a naturalized U.S. citizen born in Pakistan, with attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), a designated foreign terrorist organization. Chudhary was arrested yesterday, and made his initial appearance this afternoon before United States Magistrate Judge James Orenstein. Chudhary was ordered held without bail.

“The defendant allegedly planned to conduct a deadly attack in New York on behalf of ISIS,” stated Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers. “The National Security Division, working with our partners, will remain vigilant in our efforts to identify, disrupt, and hold accountable those who would conduct a terrorist attack on our soil. I want to thank the agents, analysts, and prosecutors who are responsible for this case and prevented this defendant from carrying out his deadly plans.”

“As alleged, Awais Chudhary planned to kill innocent civilians on behalf of ISIS and record the bloodshed in the hope of inspiring others to commit attacks,” stated United States Attorney Donoghue. “This Office, together with the FBI, the NYPD and all members of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force will continue working tirelessly to identify ISIS sympathizers like the defendant and prevent them from carrying out their murderous intentions.”

CBP Stops Passenger with Ballistic Armor Leading to Discovery of Weapons Cache

Romulus, Mich. - On August 18, a Chinese national arrived at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport from Beijing. When first encountered, the passenger gave a negative declaration to carrying any prohibited items. During an examination of the traveler’s luggage, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Officers discovered undeclared ballistic armor and other tactical apparel. CBP Officers also discovered evidence that the traveler possessed a significant weapons cache at his U.S. residence, which appeared to include prohibited items such as high capacity magazines and “bump-stock” devices.

Based on these findings, CBP collaborated with various investigative agencies who obtained consent to search the traveler’s residence. This search resulted in the discovery of a significant cache of firearms and other regulated paraphernalia.

CBP Officers determined the passenger was inadmissible to the United States and subsequently returned him to China.

“CBP personnel are committed to protecting our nation from people who pose serious risks to our communities,” said Devin Chamberlain, CBP Area Port Director. “I am proud of the work performed every day by our CBP Officers and investigative partners to ensure the safety and security of our nation.”

Brennan Defends Partner-in-Crime Comey Following Release of DOJ IG Report – Fires Off Ominous Warning to President Trump

Former CIA Chief and architect of Spygate John Brennan defended James Comey on Thursday afternoon after the DOJ Inspector General released a scathing report on the former FBI Director.

Brennan also fired off an ominous warning to President Trump implying he will be in a “world of trouble and hurt” after Republican Senators can no longer protect him.

Brennan, Comey and others have suggested that Donald Trump will be indicted after he leaves the White House and with every victory they become even more brazen.
BRENNAN: Jim Comey is far more decent, ethical, honest, competent, & patriotic than you could ever hope to be. It is only because the AG & Republican Senators refuse to put country above party that you are not in a world of trouble & hurt. But their protective cocoon is only temporary…” Brennan said in response to Trump’s tweet hammering Comey.

Loser Hillary Clinton Whines About Her Crushing 2016 Loss – Then Lectures Democrats on How to Win 2020 Presidential Election

It has been nearly three years since the 2016 presidential election and two-time loser Hillary Clinton is still whining about her crushing loss to Donald Trump.

Clinton spoke to a crowd of young progressives in New York this week and told them that even though she ‘won the popular vote,’ she lost the 2016 election because of ‘forces at work.’

Hillary then warned the young progressives that Democrats will face many challenges in the upcoming 2020 election.

“We are going to face even more doubts about out electoral machinery about how we conduct our elections and who conducts them and who owns the intellectual property and who owns the machines and what is actually happening.”

WALSH: A Female Soccer Player Says She ‘Definitely’ Could Play In The NFL. No, She Definitely Couldn't.

At the same time that two professional football players leave the sport in the prime of their careers because their bodies can't handle the abuse anymore, a woman is planning her grand entrance. U.S. women's national soccer team star Carli Lloyd — a 140-pound, 38-year-old female — says she is considering allegedly serious offers from various NFL teams. These offers were supposedly prompted by a viral video of Lloyd successfully completing a 55-yard field goal at a Philadelphia Eagles practice. With one good field goal under her belt, she feels ready to jump into a sport where the average player outweighs her by 100 pounds and stands about five inches taller. Despite that significant disadvantage, Lloyd says she "definitely could" compete in the league.

Leftist media have predictably gushed over this news. ThinkProgress proclaimed that a female field goal kicker "would be representing women everywhere who are trying to break through barriers." The Washington Post hailed Lloyd's "brawny confidence." The Guardian excitedly wondered whether the soccer player might finally break the "glass ceiling" that has heretofore prevented women from suiting up on game day. To that point, Lloyd would certainly break something on an NFL field — but it won't be any ceiling.

CDC REPORTS 931 CASES OF MUMPS IN MIGRANT DETENTION CENTERS, AFFECTING DETAINEES AND STAFF ALIKE

A massive outbreak of mumps is plaguing migrant detention centers across the U.S., according to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report.

There have been 931 cases of mumps in 57 Customs and Border Protection detention facilities across 19 U.S. states from September 2018 to August 2019 , the report states. The disease has reportedly afflicted migrant detainees as well as facility staff.

“These detention centers are a perfect storm for mumps to spread. Individuals have to be within 3-6 feet of each other to spread this virus. Sneezing, coughing on someone, or sharing a drink can spread the virus.” Dr. Todd Ellerin, Director of Infectious Diseases and Vice Chair of Medicine at Southshore Health in Massachusetts, told ABC News.

Immunization is the most effective way to combat mumps, according to CDC, though CBP officials say they do not routinely offer the mumps vaccine to detainees, according to ABC.

WATCH: Biden Claims Illegal Immigrants ‘Become American’ Before Many ‘Americans Become American’

Former Vice President Joe Biden argued on Thursday that Congress needs to grant legal status to millions of people who illegally entered the nation as minors because they are “more American” than many children who are United States citizens.

“We have to find a pathway for DREAMers. You know DREAMers?” Biden said. “I love people that say ‘Let’s send them back.’ Can you imagine you’re four years old, your mom says you’re crossing the Rio Grande, and you say ‘no mom, I don’t want to go, we’re going to stay here?’ Come on. Come on.”

“And these kids who come, and they end up doing well, they become Americans before a lot of Americans become Americans,” he continued. “No, I’m serious, they get in school, they do well, they contribute to the community, they contribute to the country.”

Omar’s Congressional Challenger Highlights The Need To End ‘Terrorist Recruitment’ In Her District

Iraq War veteran and declared Minnesota congressional candidate Chris Kelley criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Thursday for failing to address the growing terrorism recruitment problem within her own district.

“The first challenge in our area is terrorist recruitment,” Kelley said during an interview with the Jewish Press. “We know for a fact that ISIS has been targeting the young Somali population in our district.”

Minneapolis’ Somali community is often considered to be the terrorist recruitment capital of the United States. Accordingly, Minnesota's 5th Congressional District that Omar represents is the jurisdiction with the highest rate of terrorism recruitment in the country over the past 12 years, according to FBI statistics.

Forty-five Somalis residing in America left the country to join either ISIS or the Somalia-based Islamic insurgency group al-Shabaab, reported Fox News in February. That number far outpaces other areas where many Muslim refugees have been resettled within the U.S.

California appeals court overturns sole conviction in Kate Steinle death

A California state appeals court Friday overturned the lone conviction against an undocumented immigrant who shot and killed Kate Steinle on the San Francisco waterfront in 2015, a case which drew national attention and became a flashpoint in the debate over illegal immigration.

Jose Inez Garcia-Zarate, who was in the U.S. illegally had been deported to his native Mexico five times, was acquitted in November 2017 of first and second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, and assault with a semi-automatic weapon. He was convicted of one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

On Friday, the 1st District Court of Appeal in San Francisco overturned that conviction because the judge failed to give the jury the option of acquitting Garcia-Zarate on the theory he only possessed the weapon for a moment.

'A reporter would be fired for this stuff': Chris Matthews takes aim at Biden's speech flubs

MSNBC host Chris Matthews suggested that Biden's struggles with speech mistakes on the campaign trail were more significant than just meaningless errors.

"A reporter would be fired for this stuff," Matthews said during a panel discussion on Hardball.

Noting a recent incident of Biden delivering a moving but false story of a military hero to a room full of supporters in New Hampshire, Matthews said, "A reporter would be fired for this stuff."

Other panelists suggested that Biden was not a journalist, and perhaps he told the story how he remembered it. Matthews rejected the idea that he should not be criticized based on that fact, saying Biden is "not Ernest Hemingway."

Trump can change history by declassifying three Obama-era documents

My sources tell me President Trump is putting the finishing touches on a White House initiative to declassify documents that have remained hidden from the public for far too long.

This welcome effort to provide more public transparency and accountability almost certainly will focus early on the failings of the now-debunked Russia collusion probe. And I’m sure it will spread quickly toward other high-profile issues, such as the government’s UFO files that have been a focus of clamoring for decades.

But my reporting indicates three sets of documents from the Obama years should be declassified immediately, too, because they will fundamentally change the public’s understanding of history and identify ways to improve governance.

The first includes the national security assessments that the U.S. intelligence community conducted under President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton concerning the Russia nuclear giant Rosatom’s effort to acquire uranium business in the United States.

Comey Rebuked by IG but Unapologetic for Coup Attempt

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report Thursday rebuking disgraced former FBI Director James Comey for setting “a dangerous example” by leaking memos to the press in May 2017. Those memos, Horowitz said, contained “investigative information, obtained during the course of FBI employment,” and Comey leaked them “in order to achieve a personally desired outcome” — vengeance against President Donald Trump for firing him.

Comey asserted, contrary to FBI policy and practice, that the memos were his personal property. Horowitz hammered him for that and for keeping those memos in a personal safe at home. Comey perpetrated the leaks by giving memos to others with instructions to pass them to the press. As intended, Comey’s dishonest charade set up his pal Robert Mueller’s bogus $35 million investigation of Trump.

Mueller’s investigation was the culmination of the attempted deep-state coup against a duly elected president — a coup precipitated by the partisan hackery of Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, the DNC, and the leadership of America’s intelligence apparatus.
