Former South Carolina police chief: Black voters are 'seeing through' Kamala Harris on law enforcement record

SPARTANBURG, South Carolina — Former Spartanburg Police Chief Tony Fisher would seem to be a natural supporter of 2020 Democrat Kamala Harris, a career prosecutor in starkly liberal and more mixed jurisdictions.

Fisher, 69, was the first black police chief in Spartanburg, a northwestern South Carolina city of just under 40,000 people, amid a conservative stretch of territory in a Republican-leaning state. Earlier in his career, Fisher was the first black police chief of Takoma Park, Maryland, a decidedly liberal enclave just outside of Washington, D.C.

Harris, a California senator since 2017, previously served for six years as state attorney general and district attorney for San Francisco, an embodiment of American liberalism.

"People Will Be Shocked" - Bannon On Huawei & The Communist China Threat

Huawei is the greatest national security threat that America has ever faced, according to former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon, even greater than the threat of nuclear war.

The Chinese company Huawei, the world’s largest telecommunications equipment maker, has close ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), Bannon noted, and it is vying for control of 5G, the fifth generation of cellular mobile communications.

“The backbone of the future of technology is 5G,” Bannon said in an interview with The Epoch Times’ program “American Thought Leaders.”

“Right now, the path that Huawei’s taking, as a front for the PLA, is to basically take over the networks and the components throughout the world.

If we allow this to happen even for a couple more years, Huawei is going to control basically the communications systems of the West, and therefore will be able to control the West.”

Florida braces as Hurricane Dorian strengthens to Category 3

There is nothing stopping Hurricane Dorian from becoming a Category 5 storm when it hits the state's east coast as early as Monday, meteorologists have claimed.

Some forecasters say there is a chance the storm will become the highest classification on the scale because Dorian has now developed an eye.

'Hurricane #Dorian has developed an eye...Expecting it to become a major hurricane today,' said meteorologist Ryan Maue on Twitter on Friday. 'Nothing currently stopping storm from reaching Category 5. There I said it.'

KRQE meteorologist Christopher Nunley added: 'Hurricane Dorian developing an eye. Major hurricane likely today. Wouldn’t be surprised if Dorian intensifies into a Category 5 over the weekend. Florida, take this seriously, this is a life threatening hurricane.'

The Inside Story Of How The Army Reduced Standards To Get Women Through Ranger Training

When the first integrated class started on April 19, none of the nineteen female candidates made it through the Darby phase of the course.

Eight were “recycled” back to the beginning of the phase to take a second crack at the course with the next class to show up, which is an entirely normal procedure. None of the eight passed on the second try. Of those eight, three candidates were given a third try but were required to start back at the very beginning and re-do RAP week, in what is known as a “Day One” recycled (as opposed to joining the next class after it completed RAP week, which is how the average recycle usually works).

MAJORITY OF FEDERAL ARRESTEES ARE FOREIGNERS, THOUSANDS OF “UNKNOWN CITIZENSHIP”

Months after the U.S. Sentencing Commission revealed most federal crimes are executed by Hispanics and involve immigrants and drugs, the Department of Justice (DOJ) reports that foreigners accounted for the vast majority of federal arrests last year. Furthermore, apprehensions in the five judicial districts along the Mexican border, home to a quarter of all drug cases in 2018, have nearly doubled in the last decade. It doesn’t end there; the number of Central Americans captured by federal authorities in the five border districts tripled in one year alone and has risen 30-fold in the last two decades. During the same period, the apprehension of Mexican citizens also increased significantly.

The disturbing figures were released this month by the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Statistics, the government agency responsible for collecting crime data. In a 25-page report the agency outlines a distressing trend of criminal activity involving foreign nationals, revealing that non-U.S. citizens accounted for 64% of all federal arrests in 2018. “From 1998 to 2018, the share of all federal arrests by country of citizenship rose from 28% to 40% for Mexican citizens, rose from 1% to 20% for citizens of Central American countries, and fell from 63% to 36% for U.S. citizens,” the DOJ report states. The document uses tables and graphs to show an alarming increase in immigration crimes, from 20,942 back in 1998 to 58,031 in 2017 and an astonishing jump to 108,667 by 2018, marking a breathtaking 418.9% increase in two decades.

The five judicial districts along the Mexican border—California, Arizona, New Mexico and western and southern Texas—have experienced an eye-popping 539.6% in immigration-related arrests in the last two decades. Thousands are of “unknown citizenship,” according to the federal statistics, which show a spike of 202 aliens from unknown countries to 6,657 in a few years. Besides immigration violations, drug offenses appear to be the most popular crimes committed by non-U.S. citizens, followed by fraud, alien smuggling and misuse of visas. The overwhelming majority of perpetrators are young men like the ones marching north in the Central American caravan. Judicial Watch traveled to the Guatemala-Honduras border last fall and reported that the caravan mostly included young men. Guatemalan authorities confirmed that human smugglers, violent gang members and other criminal elements are incorporated in the highly organized caravans and the federal statistics indicate it’s a problem that predates the latest convoy.

WATCH — New Jersey Residents Sound Off: ‘Cory Booker Is Not for the People’

A newly released video from YouTuber Austen Fletcher, better known as Fleccas, shows how residents of Newark, New Jersey, feel about the Democrat Party and Democrat presidential hopeful and former mayor of Newark Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ).

“When they get into office, they don’t do much,” one New Jersey resident said of elected politicians.”They talk a good talk, but they forget all about what they said they were going to do.”

Another resident expressed her frustration with how elected Democrats are not working to advance the “general welfare of American citizens first”:
They are not putting their citizens first. They are putting people who shouldn’t even be here first. And when they took that oath of office it was supposed to be to see about the general welfare of American citizens first and they’re neglecting to do that, particularly the Democratic party.

Mass immigration also burdens our public schools

Federal agents caught 132,000 illegal immigrants at the southern border in May — the highest single-month total in more than a decade.

These eye-popping numbers weren't an aberration. So far in 2019, the Border Patrol has apprehended more than 300,000 illegal immigrants — a 140% increase from this time last year. Roughly 30,000 were unaccompanied children. Tens of thousands more were children who crossed the border with adult relatives or human traffickers. Due to loopholes in U.S. asylum and immigration laws, agents had to release most of these kids into the interior United States.

That has placed an enormous burden on public schools, which already spend $60 billion each year to feed and educate immigrants' children. Our schools are already underfunded and overcrowded — they can't handle this flood of foreign pupils.

Bikers for Trump Endorses the Guns & God Appreciation Day Saturday, September 14

(Washington, DC) – Bikers for Trump has become the latest organization to join the coalition of God fearing Second Amendment advocates headed by the Constitutional Rights PAC. The coalition notes that "noticeable lack of faith in God is to blame for the rise of violent crimes, not firearms". Guns & God Appreciation Day 2019 will be held on September 14, 2019 shortly after congress reconvenes from its August recess.

Guns and God is excited to bring Bikers for Trump, an organization with nearly 90,000 members and an outreach of close to 400,000 people into the broad coalition of God fearing, Second Amendment supporters. Dale Herndon, Director of Bikers for Trump states, "Bikers for Trump is proud to throw their support behind the Guns and God campaign. We're all about believing in the faith of God, country and our flag. Our right to the Second Amendment ensures that we will be able to defend these beliefs against a tyrannical government and we will always fight to protect it."

The demonstration comes at a time of heightened tension between gun rights backers and the gun control lobby. An extraordinary amount of pressure has been placed on Republicans and the President to cave to the Democrats’ demands.

But that hasn’t stopped Larry Ward, President of the Constitutional Rights PAC and founder of the Guns and God coalition. Since Monday, the campaign has gained the support of Gun Owners of America and garnered nearly 5,000 signatures. "The message resonates with our supporters", Ward claims. "The language used in the Second Amendment is not vague. The founder’s intent is clear and today’s politicians are ignoring it.”

Constitutional Rights PAC is urging supporters to be prayerful about returning our nation to God as the only solution to the hatred and mass murder plaguing our blessed nation. Once again, coalition organizers are asking demonstrators to peacefully show up en masse to gun stores, gun ranges, state capitals and town squares across the country to celebrate our God-given Second Amendment Rights and protest against the government’s attempts to undermine them. President Trump just established the U.S. Space Command

President Trump's Message on Hurricane Dorian

Establishing the U.S. Space Command

This afternoon, at the direction of President Donald J. Trump, the Secretary of Defense established the United States Space Command to ensure America’s continued dominance in space. President Trump announced the news from the Rose Garden.

“The dangers to our country constantly evolve, and so must we,” the President said. “Now, those who wish to harm the United States, who seek to challenge us in the ultimate high ground of space—it's going to be a whole different ballgame.”

The United States is reliant on space for everything from the vital military systems that protect us to widely used consumer systems that fuel our economy. While America has the strongest military in the world, failure to act now could allow our adversaries to overcome that competitive advantage and deny us access to the space domain.

🎬 Watch: President Trump establishes the U.S. Space Command

Last week, at the sixth meeting of the National Space Council, Vice President Mike Pence spoke at length about America’s next great mission to lead the world once again in human space exploration. “As we lead in American innovation and entrepreneurship in space, we also must lead in security,” the Vice President said.

To that end, President Trump installed four-star General John “Jay” Raymond today as the first leader of the revived U.S. Space Command. The newest of 11 unified commands within the Department of Defense, USSPACECOM will employ assigned forces from every branch of the military to achieve vital victories in space.

There’s no better person to lead this charge than Gen. Raymond. As the current commander of the Air Force Space Command, Gen. Raymond leads an incredible team of about 26,000 space professionals worldwide. His deep experience in the field includes serving in the United States Air Force for more than 34 years, and in June, the Senate unanimously confirmed him as our first Commander of the U.S. Space Command.

President Trump revives the United States Space Command.

Statement from Press Secretary Grisham

Today, the Inspector General’s Office released its report on former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of sensitive information on the job. White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham released the following statement:

James Comey is a proven liar and leaker. The Inspector General’s report shows Comey violated the most basic obligations of confidentiality that he owed to the United States Government and to the American people, “in order to achieve a personally desired outcome.” Because Comey shamefully leaked information to the press—in blatant violation of FBI policies—the Nation was forced to endure the baseless politically motivated, two-year witch hunt. Comey disgraced himself and his office to further a personal political agenda, and this report further confirms that fact.

Trump rightly forces Google to stop being China's tool

There's a striking contrast in how two major American technology companies approach our new cold war with China.

Amazon is serving Americans' security. Google, in contrast, has supported China and rejected the United States military.

Fortunately, the Trump administration is forcing Google to be a little more patriotic.

On Thursday, Google confirmed that new U.S. regulations mean it is unable to provide software to China's Huawei telecommunications firm/intelligence agency. Huawei thus has a big problem: It produces high-technology phones, but it can't support them with Google's Android platform and its associated apps. That is going to make it rather difficult to sell Huawei phones, and that's a good thing.

Federal Reserve Bank's 'myth of political neutrality' now is dead and gone

With remarkably little fanfare, an enduring progressive political fairytale has been debunked by an insider. The Federal Reserve System was created in 1913 under progressive president Woodrow Wilson, as one of those supposedly politically neutral federal bureaucracies run by technocrats in the interest of the greater good. It was to take monetary policy decisions out of politics and put them in the hands of experts.

Donald Trump is only the most recent POTUS to discover that the Fed wields enormous political power, able to speed up or slow down the economy via its manipulation of interest rates and the money supply. He is far from the first president to complain about the Fed when he perceives it as hampering his growth agenda.

What is different is that one of the top officials of the Fed in recent years has fought back and urged the Fed to operate so as to exert political influence against Trump.

'I just drooled on myself': Tucker Carlson left in stitches as Mark Steyn riffs on Biden flubs

Conservative commentator Mark Steyn reduced Fox News host Tucker Carlson to fits of laughter as he offered his take on Joe Biden's latest display of confusion on the campaign trail.

Following a roundup of Biden's most recent flubs, Carlson addressed the Thursday report from the Washington Post that debunked his story about pinning a Silver Star on a Navy captain in Afghanistan. Offering his "word as a Biden" to back up the story, the former vice president nevertheless "got the time period, the location, the heroic act, the type of medal, the military branch and the rank of the recipient wrong, as well as his own role in the ceremony," according to the Post.

Carlson turned to Steyn, who maintained that the fictitious story was, in fact, Biden at his best. "To be fair, Tucker, this is the old Biden back," he said. "The recent Biden of this campaign, the stumbling, bumbling, mumbling guy who can’t remember the name of Barack Obama, that’s an embarrassment. He stumbles, he trips on three-syllable words like 'Democrat.'"

Narrative: On 26 August 2019 at 2:51 PM, a deputy stopped a vehicle after observing the operator not wearing his seat belt. During a subsequent consent search of the vehicle, the deputy discovered what was identified as crack cocaine and a smoking device in the possession of the front seat passenger, Milton Cooper.
The deputy placed Cooper under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Cooper on Personal Recognizance.
Charges: Possession of Crack Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Witherspoon, West and Griffin
Incident: Theft
Date of Incident: 28 August 2019
Location: Wicomico County, MD
Suspects:

  • Elijah J. Witherspoon, 23, Laurel, DE
  • Katrial L. West, 37, Laurel, DE
  • Shamicka L. Griffin, 48, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 28 August 2019 at 1:41 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle for a seat belt violation on East Road. Upon contacting the occupants, the deputy observed the driver Elijah Witherspoon and passengers Katrial West and Shamicka Griffin were visibly nervous and uncomfortable in the presence of the uniformed deputy. Based on the observed indicators, a WCSO Drug K9 responded and conducted a scan of the vehicle for the odor of illegal drugs. Following a positive alert, the deputy initiated a search of the vehicle and located crack cocaine and a smoking device where the passenger West was sitting. West was also discovered to be in the possession of heroin and related paraphernalia.

The deputy then opened a large gray tote inside the vehicle and found that it was full of unopened items such as underwear and socks, t-shirts, a new book bag and other miscellaneous clothing items. The deputy then focused his attention on a 55-inch Phillips 4K television that was still sealed in the box. All these items appeared like they could have been recently purchased, yet no one in the vehicle had any receipts.

Investigation revealed that the trio had been at the Fruitland Walmart about an hour earlier at which point these items were stolen. With the assistance of store personnel, the three suspects were located on the store’s surveillance video committing the thefts. The recording showed Witherspoon parked out front of the store waiting while West and Griffin committed the thefts inside. Griffin grabbed the plastic tote and filled it up with everything she could while West grabbed the television. Both then strolled straight out of the store without approaching a register, loaded the items in the waiting vehicle where Witherspoon was sitting behind the wheel and the trio then drove away.

The investigation was complicated by the fact both Witherspoon and West provided false names during the investigation. West’s false identity was uncovered quickly, however Witherspoon’s duplicity was not uncovered until after he was booked under his fake name. Both would be discovered to be wanted under their real names.

  • Elijah Witherspoon: Circuit Court Body Attachment for Child Support, District Court Failure to Appear-Driving Without a License /Leaving Scene Accident, District Court Failure to Appear – Speeding / Driving Without a License

Maryland prods Pennsylvania to do more to reach Chesapeake Bay clean-water goals

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, who has been critical of Pennsylvania’s performance on meeting Chesapeake Bay cleanup goals in the past, has again prodded the Keystone State to do more to reach clean-water goals.

In a letter addressed to Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf and EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, Hogan wrote that Maryland has “alarming concerns” regarding Pennsylvania’s progress on meeting clean-water goals by 2025.

Specifically, Hogan wrote that Pennsylvania’s plans fall “far short” of the federally established nitrogen levels, achieving just 73% of the required reduction. Hogan said that Pennsylvania’s plan features what he called “a troubling funding gap of over $300 million annually.”

Germantown Man Indicted On Terror Charge In Alleged ISIS-Inspired Plot

A Germantown man accused of plotting to drive a stolen U-Haul truck into people at National Harbor was indicted on charges of attempting to provide material support to ISIS.

Rondell Henry was arrested in March has been held in federal custody since April 3. He was initially charged with one count of interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.

“Law enforcement is working tirelessly to prevent and disrupt terrorist attacks, whether they come from within or outside the United States," U.S. Attorney Robert K. Hur said in a statement. "We will continue to use every lawful tool at our disposal to find and prosecute those who want to do this country harm. This indictment is the next step in holding Rondell Henry accountable for his actions.”

In the new indictment, prosecutors allege that Henry stole the U-Haul van in Alexandria, Virginia, on March 27 and then drove it into Maryland with designs on using it as a weapon against pedestrians on sidewalks in National Harbor. Police found the stolen truck in National Harbor that same day. On surveillance video, officers allegedly saw Henry parking and exiting the vehicle. Graham: IG Report on Comey is Stunning and Unprecedented

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham is weighing in on the newly released Inspector General report about repeated misconduct by fired FBI Director James Comey.

"The Inspector General’s report is a stunning and unprecedented rebuke of a former Director of the FBI. This is the first of what I expect will be several more ugly and damning rebukes of senior DOJ and FBI officials regarding their actions and biases toward the Trump campaign of 2016," Graham released in a statement. “I appreciate the time and effort Mr. Horowitz and his team spent documenting the off-the-rails behavior of Mr. Comey regarding the leaking of law enforcement materials to the media. I also appreciate Mr. Horowitz for reinforcing the proper standards expected of senior DOJ and FBI officials. Well done Mr. Horowitz.”

Horowitz found Comey set a "dangerous precedent" by leaking confidential memos to the media in order to launch Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation against President Trump.

Berlin Police Officer Recognized For Recent Efforts To Save Infant

BERLIN – Town leaders recognized Lt. Jeffrey Lawson of the Berlin Police Department this week for his efforts to save the life of an infant.

On Monday, Mayor Gee Williams presented Lawson with a commendation to honor his actions earlier this month when he was confronted by a frantic mother whose baby wasn’t responsive. Lawson’s quick thinking helped save the baby’s life.

“There are a lot of incidents that don’t actually get reported on because it’s not crime, it’s just a matter of public assistance and help,” Williams said. “We thought this was of a special nature. None of us has a greater opportunity to serve the public than our police force.”

Lawson, a 23-year member of the Berlin police force, was praised for the “decisive thought and quick action” he exhibited on Aug. 8 when a mother came into the police department on Decatur Street with a non-responsive three-month-old. Williams said Lawson responded in less than a minute, turning the limp baby over and swiping its mouth. Williams said shortly thereafter liquid leaked from the baby’s mouth and it began to cry and act normally.
