McGuire Gets Spanked by Niblett in Delmar

Doug Niblett retains his seat as mayor in Delmar.

ANOTHER Day In Court

In the district court today it was John Robinson and his family to request a final peace order against Joe. To bad for John, he had to pay his attorney to appear only to be continued until Nov 24th because Joe had not been served with the papers. Had it not been for readers of this blog notifying Joe of the peace order he would have never known to be in court today.

On his way into the court house Joe was met by none other than Jonathan Taylor. Thanks to Jonathan Taylor we now know what this bogus peace order is all about. Jonathan perched in his pickup, it is reported that he yelled out to Joe what he thought about the Salvation Army and Joe replied "is that what this is all about?" Jonathan stated, a resounding YES! He then asked Joe what about Chief Webster, got anything to say about him? Joe turned his back and walked into the courthouse, leaving the green one with nothing.

These people, if you can call them that, have been trying for a very long time to have the Salvation Army reject Joe Albero. Then they moved on adding Pohanka Pays It Forward to their list of enemies. The Salvation Army helps thousands of families locally in their time of need. I guess Taylor and Robinson would rather have prisoners out there, being paid to ring the bell, than have someone that generated a lot of volunteers for the program last year.

Pohanka created a program that will contribute $100.00 to your choice of charities from their list of non profit organizations such as Lungs for Chuck, Brooke Mulford, Crime Solvers, Salvation Army, etc., when you purchase a vehicle from them.

Rather than promote two very good local causes, they do all they can, including filing frivolous lawsuits and calling for a boycott, all in an effort to hinder their success.

Stay tuned.

State Of Maryland Cuts Corrections Pay By 2% And Will Now Cut Another 12%

The State of Maryland cut Corrections Officers pay by 2% and are now going to cut their pay by another whopping 12% total. That's about $350.00 on average for each employee.

Meanwhile they continue to give inmates pay raises, hire more Officers and pay Teachers who are already retired from civilian teaching jobs (double dipping) to give these inmates college educations.

People should be outraged. It is your tax dollars. I know this is happening in Westover but a majority of the Officers live in the Salisbury area.

Former Salisbury Fire Chief David See Tells Joe Albero He's #1

As I was driving home the other day I was passing David See's double wide. I couldn't believe from such a distance away the man knew I was coming and flipped me the bird, telling me I was #1.
Gee, I wonder what pissed off this tiny little man. How's that membership working for you in Delmar, Chiefy?

Sarah Palin Reportedly Upset Over Newsweek Cover Of Her In Running Outfit

Some people say that any publicity is good publicity but Sarah Palin reportedly disagrees with that principle. The upcoming issue of Newsweek features Palin in her running outfit leaning against the American flag with the title "How Do You Solve A Problem Like Sarh?" The cover clearly emphasizes Palin's looks over her intellect and explicitly frames Palin as a source of trouble for the GOP as opposed to a leader. As Palin attempts to beef up her policy credentials and rebrand her image with the release of her book "Going Rogue" the Newsweek cover is exactly the image she is trying to overcome.

Realizing the impact of the cover Palin has reportedly responded on her Facebook page with the following message:

"The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this "news" magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness - a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context. "

The Newsweek cover is yet another example of Palin's continual struggle with the media. In one way the press is Palin's best friend as their coverage of her has made her a household name who is able to sell millions of books before it is even released. On the other hand the media has continually painted a picture of Palin which (right or wrong) delegitimize her before much of the American public.

Former ACORN Fund Raiser Gets Obama Judicial Nomination. Yes, You Read That Right

Democrats played hardball in filibustering nine of Mr. Bush's appeals court nominees. It is time for Republicans to turn the tables and use the same tough standards to fight one of Mr. Obama's far left appeals court nominees. Here are five reasons David Hamilton would be a disaster on the court.

President Obama's first federal court nominee was Judge David Hamilton of Indiana. If you are drinking your morning coffee as you read what follows here, you might want to put down your cup before reading further:

Among Hamilton's "qualifications" is the fact that he is a former fund raiser for ACORN. That fact was conspicuously left out of the White House statement announcing Obama's nomination of the federal district judge for a position on the Seventh Circuit federal appeals court.

Even though it was only for a month, the fact Hamilton would work for any length of time for ACORN is disturbing. And there is no evidence that he has ever subsequently repudiated his association with ACORN.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has scheduled a Senate confirmation vote on Hamilton's nomination for Tuesday, Nov. 17.

As the American Civil Rights Union's Ken Klukowski details in an oped posted earlier this morning here on washingtonexaminer.com, Hamilton is an ACLU big-wig who also has a deeply hypocritical view of Christianity:

"He has also shown surprising hostility to people of Christian faith. He ruled that any prayers uttered in the Indiana statehouse that invoke the name of Jesus Christ are unconstitutional and cannot be permitted.

"Nor can anyone offer a prayer that is 'sectarian' or 'pervasively Christian.' Oddly, although prayers mentioning Jesus are somehow a threat to the republic, Judge Hamilton said that it’s okay to offer prayers to Allah."

Hamilton's various rulings are a good illustration of why so many social conservatives view attempts by the ACLU and other liberals to ban all expressions of Christian faith from the public square to be supremely bigoted and patently unconstitutional violations of the First Amendment's guarantee of religious freedom.

A coalition of conservative leaders headed by former Attorney General Edwin Meese points to five reasons why Hamilton should not be confirmed:

Judge Hamilton is an ideologue first and a jurist second. His rulings reflect his work for the ACLU and ACORN, and his rulings on the District Court often reflect his bias toward extreme leftist ideology. If anything, Judge Hamilton’s record has confirmed fears that he would be a liberal judicial activist who would impose his radical ACLU-inspired agenda from the bench.

Judge Hamilton suppressed religious freedom: He expressed a bizarre hostility to religious speech by ruling that prayers to Jesus Christ offered at the beginning of legislative sessions violate the Constitution, but that prayers to Allah do not. In 1994 he denied a Rabbi’s plea to allow a Menorah to be part of the Indianapolis Municipal Building’s holiday display. In both cases the Seventh Circuit reversed Hamilton.

Judge Hamilton’s ruling in criminal cases indicates that he attempts to find ways to be as lenient as possible in sentencing. In one case, where he was unanimously reversed by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Hamilton disregarded a defendant’s prior conviction for a felony drug offense in order to avoid imposing a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment for persons convicted of a third felony drug offense.

Judge Hamilton protected child predators: In one particularly troubling case, Judge Hamilton invalidated a common-sense law that would have required convicted sex offenders to provide information so that law enforcement could track their activity, thereby making it easier for child predators to move around and endanger children in Indiana. In another, Judge Hamilton urged the President to grant clemency for a police officer who had pled guilty to producing child pornography by videotaping and photographing sexual activity with two teenage girls.

Judge Hamilton consistently sided with abortion-on-demand absolutists: Over a period of seven years, Judge Hamilton used his judicial role to wage a campaign against reasonable measures to reduce abortions, repeatedly ruling against a popular Indiana law requiring information and a waiting period before an abortion.

A Daily Times Op Ed Piece From Salisbury's Council President and Vice President

In a letter dated Nov. 12, Council President Louise Smith and Council Vice President Gary Comegys request Ireton address complaint letters from two councilwomen about Webster and find a way to settle the chief's dispute without spending any money on legal fees.

"There are some pretty serious charges that have been made here, and it just seems very divisive," Smith said. "This is an appeal to the mayor; please do something about this to bring it to resolution."

In the letter, Smith and Comegys reference letters submitted separately by Councilwomen Debbie Campbell and Terry Cohen to Ireton about one week apart in June. In the letters, the duo criticize Webster and request the documents be placed in the chief's personnel file. Ireton has made no official response to the letters publicly, and Smith and Comegys want to know what happened.

The other two issues pertain to Webster's lawsuit, filed in the Circuit Court for Wicomico County on Nov. 3. Webster alleges the city and the mayor denied him a fair hearing for an employee grievance.

Ireton addressed the public in a news conference the following day, calling Webster's lawsuit "frivolous" and his actions "unlawful." Smith and Comegys take issue with Ireton's actions.
"He made some comments that weren't well thought out and he was being adversarial instead of being in a position where he tried to get folks to work together," Comegys said. "This whole situation shouldn't be politicized, and it's being politicized."

Ireton said Friday he had already issued a response to each council member, claiming some matters were "personnel issues" not to be discussed publicly and dismissing other issues as "semantics."

"I'm still going by the rules," Ireton said.

Campbell and Cohen refused to comment. Cohen said she hadn't seen Thursday's letter, and Campbell joined Ireton, refusing to comment and citing the issues as being personnel matters.
"I believe that this again is a personnel matter, and based on that, I question how and why it would be in the hands of the newspaper," Campbell said. "Because of that, I am not in a position to comment further."

Thursday's events are the latest in a string that began with Campbell's alleged illegal receipt of police surveillance evidence when she was employed by Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Service.

Councilwoman Shanie Shields said she'd rather not take sides, though she wants the issue resolved as soon as possible.

"It will be a sad day for Salisbury as a whole if this becomes ugly," she said. "Everybody needs to step back and take a deep breath and learn forgiveness. When you have vindictiveness and personal agendas, that steps in the way of doing what the citizens elected us to do."

OK, now it's MY TURN!First of all, Jim Ireton is not only the Mayor of the City of Salisbury, he is Chiefy Webster's BOSS.

Now, Ireton didn't sue Chiefy and or the Taxpayers, Webster did. If ANYONE should be apologizing to anyone, if Gary and Louise didn't have their heads so far up their a$$es, they'd come to realize that it should be Webster apologizing and seeking to RESOLVE his issues with Ireton.

Webster has completely disrespected the Mayor's final decision. WEBSTER is the one costing the TAXPAYERS money, NOT Ireton. Where's the correspondences between Chiefy and the Mayor where the Chief has attempted to resolve these issues? Oh, that's right, it's a personnel matter, so Chiefy used his minions, (Louise & Gary) to go public for him because he's not man enough to stand up and fight for himself like a real man.

I'm personally sick of this man causing trouble as well as costing the taxpayers both financially as well as time consumption on the job to handle these cases. Remember Folks, lawyers work 9-5 just like Chiefy does. He can't be handling all of these lawsuits on his own time.

FIGHT CRIME CHIEFY, NOT OPINIONS.

GM Announces It Will Pay Back Gov’t Loan … With Gov’t Money

GM will be begin paying back the TARP money in December, the company announced this morning. It’s a statement in need of a little context.

Basically, GM will be using a portion of its $50 billion in TARP bailout money it received to in turn repay another portion of the TARP loans.

The reason GM can do this is because when GM emerged from bankruptcy, it struck a deal with the Treasury Department to carve up its obligation to the government in four different ways.

Cancer Scientist Reveals Secret Life As Prostitute

London, England (CNN) -- An erotic blogger whose double life as a prostitute became a hit TV series has ended years of fevered speculation by revealing her most intimate secret -- her true identity.

Brooke Magnanti, a cancer specialist at a university in western England, unmasked herself in a British newspaper as the woman behind "Belle de Jour," the salacious online diary of a high class call girl.

"It feels so much better on this side. Not to have to tell lies, hide things from the people I care about," the 34-year-old wrote on her blog after the Sunday Times published its interview with her.

Magnanti's frank and sometimes funny accounts of working as a call girl earned her a huge following, a lucrative book deal and legions of critics who variously accused her of glamorizing the sex industry, making it up -- and of being a man.

The 34-year-old said she became a call girl in 2003 to support herself in London while completing her doctoral thesis after realizing she had no qualms about being paid for sex.

She contacted an agency, working as a prostitute until late 2004, describing it as "so much more enjoyable" than an earlier job as a computer programmer.

Home Depot Third-Quarter Earnings Fall

But largest U.S. home improvement retailer raises its 2009 outlook

ATLANTA - Home Depot Inc.'s third-quarter earnings fell 8.9 percent as the housing and renovation markets remained weak, the nation's largest home improvement retailer said Tuesday.

The company also raised its full-year earnings outlook as the quarter's earnings topped expectations. CEO Frank Blake said the company has seen signs of stabilization in real estate and has added market share in the quarter.

Home Depot and other home-improvement retailers have faced sales declines as consumers hold back on do-it-yourself projects amid worry over jobs and home values. Although the U.S. housing market is stabilizing, after a nearly three-year decline, home prices remain far below their peak.

REP. KRATOVIL RESPONDS TO HIS CONSTITUENTS’ CONCERN ABOUT “OBAMA-CARE”

Thank you for contacting my office to share your thoughts on healthcare reform. I believe that rising healthcare costs represent one of the biggest threats to our nation's long-term economic growth and fiscal health.  Failing to fix the broken status quo would increasingly burden families, small businesses, and the federal government with unsustainable costs.  We have an opportunity to lower costs, improve quality, expand coverage, and increase access in our healthcare system, but passing a bill that fails to accomplish these goals would represent a waste of this historic moment and would only perpetuate existing problems.

On November 7, 2009, the House of Representatives considered H.R. 3962.  This healthcare reform legislation includes a number of provisions I strongly support, such as eliminating preexisting condition exclusions, addressing the Medicare Part D "donut hole", and expanding coverage to more low-income working families.  However, I am not satisfied that H.R. 3962 is a fiscally sustainable approach to achieving these goals, nor do I feel this bill does enough to reduce long-term healthcare costs.  Consequently, I could not support H.R. 3962 when it came to a vote.

At the start of this debate, I laid out a number of principles that would guide me in reviewing and voting on healthcare legislation.  I pledged that I would not vote for a plan that would strip anyone of their current coverage, increase the deficit, or hurt small businesses.  Moreover, I stated that I viewed cost containment as a central requirement of any successful plan; simply shifting these costs from individuals to the federal government would do nothing to curb systemic healthcare inflation over time. Over the August recess, I had an opportunity to speak with thousands of constituents and stakeholders during town hall meetings, individual visits, and telephone town hall forums.  While I believed that some of the fears expressed in those conversations were unfounded, I also recognized that many of the concerns and suggestions were legitimate and deserved strong consideration.  After returning to Congress in September, I led a group of my fellow Freshman Representatives in sending a letter to House Leadership urging them to incorporate some of these ideas, such as increasing interstate competition, reducing medical malpractice suits, and protecting small businesses.

While H.R. 3962 makes some progress toward some of these principles, it fell short on a number of others, and I am not satisfied that it is a fiscally sustainable approach to fixing our healthcare system.  I agree with the Washington Post's assessment of the bill in recent editorials, one of which stated that H.R. 3962 "does not do enough to address rising healthcare costs and is not financed in a sensible, sustainable way."  The Associated Press reports that the cost of this bill to American taxpayers will top $1.2 billion, more than $300 billion above the target that President Obama set for healthcare reform.  The bill's fiscal impact is even more alarming when viewed alongside H.R. 3961, a companion bill that will fix the reimbursement formula by which doctors are paid under Medicare.  This "Doc Fix" language was included in initial drafts of H.R. 3200, but was broken out into a separate bill to lower the overall cost of the revised H.R. 3962.  While the Congressional Budget Office projects that H.R. 3962 would reduce the deficit by $104 billion, these savings are more than wiped out by the $210 billion cost of the companion "Doc Fix" legislation. Taken together, these two bills would cost taxpayers more than $1.4 trillion and are projected to increase the deficit significantly over the next 10 years, which does not satisfy my pledge that healthcare reform must be deficit neutral.

One aspect of the bill that deserves particular scrutiny with respect to its long-term fiscal sustainability is the CLASS Act, contained in Subtitle D of H.R. 3962.  This section would create a new long-term care entitlement program, and would require individuals to pay into the plan for at least five years before they would be eligible to begin drawing benefits.  This payment structure severely skews the picture of the program's impact over the initial 10-year budget window, since the program begins collecting premiums in 2011 but does not start paying out benefits until 2016.  The Congressional Budget Office has stated that this program would increase the deficit in the long run, which is problematic given the long-term unfunded liabilities already faced by other entitlement programs like Medicare and Social Security.  From the standpoint of fiscal responsibility, it is essential that any new entitlement program be thoroughly reviewed and debated prior to enactment. I am deeply concerned about passing such a significant new program when it has not yet received the full consideration it deserves.

I also remain concerned that some of this bill's provisions may hurt small businesses and negatively impact job creation, which remains my top priority in Washington.  In speaking with numerous small-business owners across the First District, I repeatedly heard concerns that the small business carve-out in the employer mandate is not sufficiently flexible to protect certain small businesses.  Many employers also fear that the penalty provisions of this "pay-or-play" mandate would significantly raise the costs of hiring new workers, discouraging the creation of new jobs at a time when our economy desperately needs them.  The upper-income surtax included in the legislation would also affect the bottom line for some small businesses organized under the tax code as S-Corporations, further impacting these businesses' ability to reinvest and create jobs.  Furthermore, neither the surtax nor the payroll floor on the employer mandate are indexed for inflation, meaning that these revenue sources initially intended to capture only large businesses and wealthy individuals will, at some point in the future, inevitably threaten middle-class families and mom-and-pop employers.  We have already seen similar problems resulting from the Alternative Minimum Tax, which impacted only the wealthy at the time of its passage in 1969, but has increasingly threatened middle-class families in recent years because it is not indexed for inflation.   While I recognize and support the need for healthcare reform, I believe that reform can and must be funded by mechanisms and savings that do not threaten job creation or create inevitable long-term budget dilemmas.

While I could not support H.R. 3962 for the reasons discussed above, I remain fully committed to passing fair, effective, and fiscally sustainable healthcare reform.  With the debate now continuing in the United States Senate, I will continue to work with my colleagues in Washington in hopes of crafting a compromise that will effectively expand coverage, reduce costs, and increase access in rural areas without expanding our deficit or hurting small businesses.  I know there are some who will oppose any bill and any reform plan, but the stakes are too high to let obstructionists derail the debate.  While I did not feel that H.R. 3962 was a sustainable solution, we should all recognize that the status quo is not sustainable either.  Now is the time to set partisan rhetoric aside and work toward common-sense solutions that will rein in costs and expand coverage without adding to our unsustainable debt.

Please do not hesitate to contact me again in the future regarding issues that concern you. I believe that continuous communication with the residents of the First District is essential to helping me be an effective advocate for you in Congress. To stay informed, please visit my website at www.house.gov/kratovil.

Thank you again for contacting me and I look forward to hearing from you.

AND, NOW, IT’S ANOTHER SALISBURY MALL CLOSED MEETING

A closed worksession of the Wicomico County Council has been scheduled for this afternoon. The reported purpose is to discuss the parking lot acreage that the County has already (?) agreed to buy for a price that was reached a couple years back – before the real estate market tanked. Whatever that price, it is surely much too high today, and the owner has not yet had the property subdivided according to reports.

Let’s hope that the Council decides to demand that the price be reduced or that the deal be dropped. That would be a fitting way to kick off the County’s budget cutting bash.

Airport Search Rules Change After Ron Paul Aide Detained

An angry aide to Rep. Ron Paul, an iPhone and $4,700 in cash have forced the Transportation Security Administration to quietly issue two new rules telling its airport screeners they can only conduct searches related to airplane safety.

In response, the American Civil Liberties Union is dropping its lawsuit on behalf of Steve Bierfeldt, the man who was detained in March and who recorded the confrontation on his iPhone as TSA and local police officers spent half an hour demanding answers as to why he was carrying the money through Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

The new rules, issuedin September and October, tell officers "screening may not be conducted to detect evidence of crimes unrelated to transportation security" and that large amounts of cash don't qualify as suspicious for purposes of safety.

"We had been hearing of so many reports of TSA screeners engaging in wide-ranging fishing expeditions for illegal activities," said Ben Wizner, a staff lawyer for the ACLU, pointing to reports of officers scanning pill-bottle labels to see whether the passenger was the person who obtained the prescription as one example.

He said screeners get a narrow exception to the Fourth Amendment, which prohibits unreasonable searches, strictly to keep weapons and explosives off planes, not to help police enforce other laws.

TSA was created in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to boost screening at airports, but the young agency has repeatedly bumped heads against civil libertarians, who argue officers overstep their authority.

TSA spokeswoman Lauren Gaches said the new "internal directives" are meant to ensure their screeners are consistent. She acknowledged the policy on large sums of cash had changed, but wouldn't provide a copy of either document. She said the directives would not be released unless a Freedom Of Information Act request was submitted by The Washington Times.

"TSA routinely assesses its policies and screening procedures to ensure the highest levels of security nationwide," she said. "Currency alone is not a threat, and TSA does not restrict the amount of currency a traveler may carry through the checkpoint."

TSA had earlier defended the search, though it had criticized officers' abusive behavior.

Allen West On Fort Hood Massacre

The following is a statement released by Retired Lt. Col. Allen West:

This past Thursday 13 American Soldiers were killed and another 30 wounded at a horrific mass shooting at US Army installation, Ft Hood Texas . As I watched in horror and then anger I recalled my two years of final service in the Army as a Battalion Commander at Ft Hood, 2002-2004.

My wife and two daughters were stunned at the incident having lived on the post in family housing.

A military installation, whether it is Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, or Coast Guard, is supposed to be a safe sanctuary for our Warriors and their families. It is intended to provide a home whereby our “Band of Brothers and Sisters” can find solace and bond beyond just the foxhole but as family units.

A military installation is supposed to be a place where our Warriors train for war, to serve and protect our Nation.

On Thursday, 5 November 2009 Ft Hood became a part of the battlefield in the war against Islamic totalitarianism and state sponsored terrorism.

There may be those who feel threatened by my words and would even recommend they not be uttered. To those individuals I say step aside because now is not the time for cowardice. Our Country has become so paralyzed by political correctness that we have allowed a vile and determined enemy to breach what should be the safest place in America , an Army post.

We have become so politically correct that our media is more concerned about the stress of the shooter, Major Nidal Malik Hasan. The misplaced benevolence intending to portray him as a victim is despicable. The fact that there are some who have now created an entire new classification called; “pre-virtual vicarious Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)” is unconscionable.

This is not a “man caused disaster”. It is what it is, an Islamic jihadist attack.

We have seen this before in 2003 when a SGT Hasan of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) threw hand grenades and opened fire into his Commanding Officer’s tent in Kuwait . We have seen the foiled attempt of Albanian Muslims who sought to attack Ft Dix, NJ. Recently we saw a young convert to Islam named Carlos Bledsoe travel to Yemen, receive terrorist training, and return to gun down two US Soldiers at a Little Rock, Arkansas Army recruiting station. We thwarted another Islamic terrorist plot in North Carolina which had US Marine Corps Base, Quantico as a target.

What have we done with all these prevalent trends? Nothing.

What we see are recalcitrant leaders who are refusing to confront the issue, Islamic terrorist infiltration into America , and possibly further into our Armed Services. Instead we have a multiculturalism and diversity syndrome on steroids.

Major Hasan should have never been transferred to Ft Hood, matter of fact he should have been Chaptered from the Army. His previous statements, poor evaluation reports, and the fact that the FBI had him under investigation for jihadist website posting should have been proof positive.

However, what we have is a typical liberal approach to find a victim, not the 13 and 30 Soldiers and Civilian, but rather the poor shooter. A shooter who we are told was a great American, who loved the Army and serving his Nation and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) stating that his actions had nothing to do with religious belief.

We know that Major Hasan deliberately planned this episode; he did give away his possessions. He stood atop a table in the confined space of the Soldier Readiness Center shouting “Allahu Akhbar”, same chant as the 9-11 terrorists and those we fight against overseas in the Iraq and Afghanistan theaters of operation.

No one in leadership seems willing to sound the alarm for the American people; they are therefore complicit in any future attacks. Our Congress should suspend the insidious action to vote on a preposterous and unconstitutional healthcare bill and resolve the issue of “protecting the American people”.

The recent incidents in Dearborn Michigan , Boston Massachusetts , Dallas Texas , and Chicago Illinois should bear witness to the fact that we have an Islamic terrorism issue in America . And don’t have CAIR call me and try to issue a vanilla press statement; they are an illegitimate terrorist associated organization which should be disbanded.

We have Saudi Arabia funding close to 80% of the mosques in the United States , one right here in South Florida, Pompano Beach . Are we building churches and synagogues in Saudi Arabia ? Are “Kaffirs” and “Infidels” allowed travel to Mecca ?

So much for peaceful coexistence.

Saudi Arabia is sponsoring radical Imams who enter into our prisons and convert young men into a virulent Wahabbist ideology….one resulting in four individuals wanting to destroy synagogues in New York with plastic explosives. Thank God the explosives were dummy. They are sponsoring textbooks which present Islamic centric revisionist history in our schools.

We must recognize that there is an urgent need to separate the theo-political radical Islamic ideology out of our American society. We must begin to demand surveillance of suspected Imams and mosques that are spreading hate and preaching the overthrow of our Constitutional Republic……that speech is not protected under First Amendment, it is sedition and if done by an American treason.
There should not be some 30 Islamic terrorist training camps in America that has nothing to do with First Amendment, Freedom of Religion. The Saudis are not our friends and any American political figure who believes such is delusional.

When tolerance becomes a one way street it certainly leads to cultural suicide. We are on that street. Liberals cannot be trusted to defend our Republic, because their sympathies obviously lie with their perceived victim, Major Nidal Malik Hasan.

I make no apologies for these words, and anyone angered by them, please, go to Ft Hood and look into the eyes of the real victims. The tragedy at Ft Hood Texas did not have to happen. Consider now the feelings of those there and on every military installation in the world. Consider the feelings of the Warriors deployed into combat zones who now are concerned that their loved ones at home are in a combat zone.

Ft Hood suffered an Islamic jihadist attack, stop the denial, and realize a simple point.

The reality of your enemy must become your own.

Steadfast and Loyal,
Lieutenant Colonel Allen B West (US Army, Ret)

WCSO Calls For Service

Former City Councilwoman Lynn Cathcart has stood in front of the Council numerous times complaining the Sheriff's Department needs to come into the City of Salisbury more often and protect the City.

Lynn has attempted to make it sound as if the Sheriff's Department isn't offering their services enough and states that Salisbury is within the County, so why not help out.

The above is just one example of how the Sheriff's Department does in fact service the City of Salisbury. In numerous conversations I have had with representatives from the Sheriff's Department, they proudly serve the City and would gladly help out in any way, shape or form and once again documents like this prove this to be a fact.

Be sure to click on the image above to enlarge it and see what your Wicomico County Sheriff's Department is doing to help curb crime in the City of Salisbury. I think all of you will be surprised. The next time you see Lynn, tell her to try shutting her trap, after you take her foot out of her mouth.

The Significance Of The Bow: Obama Is A House Servant For The Global Elite

The predictable response to criticism surrounding Obama’s botched bow to Emperor Akihito this weekend has been to claim that the outrage is a contrived creation of the political right-wing. However, the Japanese themselves are obviously just as embarrassed about the whole spectacle.

Despite the fact that Obama was widely criticized for bowing to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, an incident the White House ludicrously tried to deny even though it was plain as day on video, he again prostrated himself before royalty by awkwardly lurching forward at a near 90 degree angle to show his fealty to the Japanese Emperor and his wife at the Imperial Palace on Saturday.

Top Japanese newspapers like Kyodo have refused to print the image out of embarrassment. Video footage of the entire exchange shows Obama profusely bowing like a house servant no less than seven times in the space of under 30 seconds.

“Kyodo News is running his appropriate and reciprocated nod and shake with the Empress, certainly to show the president as dignified, and not in the form of a first year English teacher trying to impress with Karate Kid-level knowledge of Japanese customs,” writes a source quoted by ABC News’ Jake Tapper.

“Obama’s handshake/forward lurch was so jarring and inappropriate it recalls Bush’s back-rub of Merkel,” he adds.

Belly Up: 10 States Face Imminent Bankruptcy

Ten states are facing imminent bankruptcy, confounding any possibility of economic recovery as tax revenues continue to decline and unemployment increases nationwide, Jerome Corsi's Red Alert reports.

Those states in fiscal peril include California, Arizona, Rhode Island, Michigan, Oregon, Nevada, Florida, New Jersey, Illinois and Wisconsin.

The National Governor's Association has reported state revenues across the nation were down 11.7 and 16.6 percent in the first two quarters of 2009, respectively.

The study further observed that state revenues will not return to 2008 levels in real dollar terms until fiscal year 2014, under the most favorable assumptions that the economy has already begun a slow and largely jobless recovery.

Red Alert reports that among the most severe problems facing the states is the outstanding liability of about $2.73 trillion in employee retirement, health and other benefits coming due over the next several decades, of which more than $271 billion is unfunded.

The National Governor's Association presented the reality that "it will take states nearly a decade to fully emerge from the current recession."

"The truth is that the recovery period could be even longer if the bankruptcy and unemployment picture does not improve," Corsi wrote.

Just last week, Red Alert reported that the real unemployment number, including those who have dropped out of the labor force because they have become discouraged after looking for a job for a year or longer, was 22.1 percent for October 2009, not the 10.2 percent reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

As Red Alert has reported, Tom Blumer at NewsBusters has produced statistics that show California is in a welfare crisis, especially as unemployment in May rose to 11.5 percent.

Blumer produced charts to demonstrate that California has "chronically failed to do anything meaningful about its welfare population since 2002."

California may have to consider ending state welfare altogether, stopping CalWORKs, the California state version of comprehensive welfare reform under the 1996 Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or TANF law.

"Perhaps not surprisingly, among all the proposals to balance California's budget, the politically correct state has yet to consider cutting social welfare benefits for illegal immigrants, including education of children in Spanish in the public schools or restricting access to hospital emergency rooms for non-emergency primary health-care services," he wrote. "Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is likely to sell high profile state property such as the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and San Quentin prison before tackling the politically charged issue of controlling the flood of illegal immigrants that continue to head north into California from Mexico."

WND columnist Ben Shapiro has estimated that education and health costs for illegal immigrants compose between 16.4 and 20.5 percent of California's budget deficit.

Why Is the Government Not Listening To US?

The people have spoken. Today only 34% still support Health Care Reform compared to 35% that supported HIllaryCare. When those supporting HillaryCare fell to 35%, the Clinton administration dropped HillaryCare like a hot potato and that killed the government push. Something is different today. Even less people still support Government run health care now and the adminstration ignores the will of the people and forges on. Who REALLY WANTS health care reform?

Just WHO wants HealthCare Reform?
The people don't.

Obama is listening to someone. Could it possibly be Andrew Stern, SCIU president? Andrew Stern has visited the White House 34 times this year. Does the SCIU have anything to gain with HealthCare Reform? All health care workers will be forced to join the union SCIU, including even home health care workers. With union membeship declining overall, this would be a nice boost to the membership rolls and all those forced dues that can be used to line the coffers of politicians. After all, the SCIU has a film touting how the union bought a presidencey!

Anyone else?
Tort attorneys have been oh, so quiet. Do tort attorneys have anything to gain with HealthCare Reform? The House bill is a bonanza for litigation attorneys. Any torte reform implemented on a state level, such as Texas, is negated. Furthermore, the House Bill mandates that attorneys can sue for 'pain and suffering' with NO LIMITS in addition to the actual medical costs being litigated.

President Obama, you promised to eliminate special interests and lobbyists in Washington. Now it seems these are the only voices you hear. The people do not want a sub-par inferior plan that taxes, fines, delays, denies, leaves 30 million people uncovered, guts Medicare/Medicaid and sends the government 20 TRILLION DOLLARS in debt. This is not what you campaigned on nor what you promised. LIsten to the people. Although you claim with pride having worked for SCIU all your adult life, stop the favors, be presidential. You are the President of ALL the people and act accordingly, Mr. President.

First U.S. Marijuana Cafe Opens In Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon (Reuters) - The United States' first marijuana cafe opened on Friday, posing an early test of the Obama administration's move to relax policing of medical use of the drug.
The Cannabis Cafe in Portland, Oregon, is the first to give certified medical marijuana users a place to get hold of the drug and smoke it -- as long as they are out of public view -- despite a federal ban.

Unbelievable President

THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST OUTRAGEOUS STATEMENT EVER MADE BY A PUBLIC OFFICIAL LET ALONE BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. AND THIS GUY IS OUR "COMMANDER IN CHIEF". HE IS A DISGRACE.

HERE IS HIS RESPONSE WHEN HE BACKED OFF FROM HIS DECISION TO LET THE MILITARY PAY FOR THEIR WAR INJURIES.

Bad press, including major mockery of the plan by comedian Jon Stewart, led to President Obama abandoning his proposal to require veterans carry private health insurance to cover the estimated $540 million annual cost to the federal government of treatment for injuries to military personnel received during their tours on active duty. The President admitted that he was puzzled by the magnitude of the opposition to his proposal.

"Look, it's an all volunteer force," Obama complained. "Nobody Made these guys go to war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute.." "I thought these were people who were proud to sacrifice for their country, "Obama continued. "I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd have thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

Riding Public Transit Saves Individuals $9,190 Annually

Washington, DC -- RIDING PUBLIC TRANSIT SAVES INDIVIDUALS $9,190 ANNUALLY
Yearly Transit Savings over $250 Higher Than This Time Last Year

Individuals who ride public transportation can save on average $9,190 annually based on the November 9, 2009 national average gas price and the national unreserved monthly parking rate. Over the last year, an individual riding public transportation would have saved an additional $255 due to the 41 cent increase of gasoline per gallon since November 2008.

For the Philadelphia area, the APTA report shows a monthly savings of $923 and an annual savings of $11,076.

The Transit Savings Report released monthly by the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) calculates the average annual and monthly savings for public transit users. The report examines how an individual in a two-person household can save money by taking public transportation and living with one less car.

Transit riders can save on average $766 per month. The savings amount is based on the cost of the national averages for parking and driving, as well as the November 9 national average gas price of $2.664 per gallon for self-serve regular gasoline as reported by AAA. Since last month the cost of a gallon of gasoline has increased 19 cents. This is an increase in savings that equates to an additional $21 per month.

Taking public transportation provides a safe and affordable way for individuals and families to cut costs, according to APTA. In addition, local public transit offers a travel option that has an immediate positive impact in reducing an individual overall carbon footprint while helping reduce dependence on foreign oil.

To calculate your individual savings with or without car ownership, go to www.publictransportation.org.

The Confessional

A Catholic guy goes into the confessional box after years of being away from the Church.

There's a fully equipped bar with Guinness on tap. On the other wall is a dazzling array of the finest cigars and chocolates.
Then the priest comes in. "Father, forgive me, for it's been a very long time since I've been to confession, but I must first admit that the confessional box is much more inviting than it used to be."

The priest replies: "Get out. You're on my side."

Women Over 40

In case you missed it on 60 minutes, this is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40:

60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS)

As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think.

If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting.

Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it.

Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved.. They know what it's like to be unappreciated.

Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40.

Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart.

Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her.

Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize.

For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? Here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!

Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!
