5 Of The Most Violent Cities In The World Are Right Here In America

When you think of the most dangerous, violent cities in the world, do you picture slums in Third World countries with vicious drug cartels or arrogant warlords? Maybe the kind of violence where enemies are decapitated and whole families are murdered seem like things that happen far away in some terrifying, exotic locale.

Some of this is true – but FIVE of the world’s most violent cities are right here on the American mainland and another is in an American territory. The list was created by researchers of anti-violence think-tank Seguridad, Justicia Y Paz (Security, Justice, and Peace), who made their rankings based on statistics of homicides per 100,000 residents.

The vast majority of the cities on the list were in Central and South America. Interestingly, the violence in Venezuela appears to have dropped in violence this year, but not because it’s suddenly become a mecca of safety. The official situation there has devolved so much that they simply can’t track all the homicides.

WATCH: Democrat Congressman Defends Meeting Farrakhan By Attacking Jews

On Friday, Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) admitted to meeting with radical Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan in the past and then appeared to defend himself by attacking Jews.

Fox 59 anchor Angela Ganote asked Carson to address the scandal and the Republican Jewish Coalition's call for him and six other Democrats to resign for meeting with Farrakhan, who has openly praised Hitler in the past.

Carson responded by attacking the Republican Jewish Coalition, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israel's government.

WaPo Awards Keith Ellison 'Four Pinocchios' for Lies About Farrakhan Contacts

The far-left Washington Post reports that Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) lied about his associations with Louis Farrakhan, the openly anti-Semitic leader of the Nation of Islam.

Ellison, who is also the vice chairman of the Democrat National Committee (DNC), has repeatedly denied having any association with Farrakhan after 2006, the year he entered the U.S. House of Representatives.

In December of 2016, while appearing on Morning Joe, he said that he denounced Farrakhan in 2006 and that was that. “We’re talking about something that happened in 1995. This was the year that the Million Man March took off. People were attacking the march at the time,” Ellison said. “Man, I’m telling you back in 2006 and before, I disavowed them.”

That same month, his spokesperson said that since the Million Man March in 1995, he has “had no additional involvement with March organizer Louis Farrakhan or his organizations, has long since denounced him, and rejects all forms of anti-Semitism.”

Fact Check: Did a Catholic Archbishop Defend Pedophilia? No.

The website POTUS WDC posted a false story with the bogus headline, “Catholic Archbishop Says Pedophilia Is ‘Spiritual Encounter With God.’”

One of the highest-ranking officials in the Catholic Church says s,e,x,u,a,l.l.y [sic] abused children can experience “a spiritual encounter with God through the priest” while being molested.

The quote, which POTUS WDC frankensteined into utter fiction, comes from a press release by the Archbishop of Melbourne Denis Hart last year: “Confession in the Catholic Church is a spiritual encounter with God through the priest.”

The archbishop gained attention for his defense of the confidentiality of confession in the Catholic Church amid calls for priests to report certain confessions to the authorities. His short press release reads:

Disney’s ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ Erases Book’s Bible Quotes, Cuts Jesus, Christian Figures From History

As Disney adapted the beloved children's book "A Wrinkle in Time" (1962) into a major motion picture — with no less than Oprah Winfrey on the star-studded cast list — the studio cut out a great deal along the way. Bible quotes, a reference to Jesus, and even Christian historical figures all got the boot. Could the excising of God help explain why the movie is projected to struggle at the box office?

In the transition from book to movie, many aspects get left on the cutting-room floor. Even so, these omissions proved particularly egregious, partially because they involved rewriting history.

The battle between good and evil (light and darkness) forms a central theme in "A Wrinkle in Time," and both book and film mention many historical figures who fought the darkness on behalf of the light. Disney seemed zealous to excise any hint of Christianity from the film, going so far as to cut even historic artists mentioned by Madeleine L'Engle, the book's author.

Treasury Report: True U.S. Government Shortfall Is $88.9 Trillion, An Average of $704K Per Household

President Trump has presided over economic growth, but the debt and long-term obligations of the U.S. government are still massive. If the national debt were officially calculated the way assets for private companies are calculated — by tallying assets, debts, liabilities, and obligations — the official federal debt would be $88.9 trillion, or $704,000 per household.

This represents no less than four times the projected national debt of roughly $20 trillion. The federal government uses accounting practices different from private companies, and so it can report a much smaller national debt than its true liabilities account for.

While the federal government reported a budget deficit of $666 billion for the 2017 fiscal year, a new comprehensive report from the U.S. Treasury showed that finances really deteriorated by $1,157 billion. The document explained that this difference comes from accrued costs that are not necessarily paid, such as estimated future costs of federal employee and veterans' benefits.

The Risks of Trump's Meeting with Kim Jong-un

Kim probably believes he can extract concessions from Trump. He's not crazy.

It is possible that North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un is suddenly “committed to denuclearization,” as South Korean National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong claimed in comments to the press at the White House Thursday evening.

It’s further possible that the result of a one-on-one meeting between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un will “achieve permanent denuclearization,” as he predicted.

And it’s possible that Trump’s “leadership and his maximum pressure policy” have in fact led Kim Jong-un to so fear for his survival that he’s decided to give up the nuclear program his country has suffered decades to obtain—and to do so just as he’s on the verge of accomplishing the long-held objectives of his predecessors.

‘It's a lot of grief' Church members mourn pastor's wife killed at NC home

LITTLETON, N.C. (WNCN) - LITTLETON, N.C. (WNCN) — A church community is in mourning the death of their beloved pastor’s wife who was killed in the couple’s North Carolina home Friday.

Dozens of people came together Sunday to pray at the church where John Alford preaches.

John Alford, who lived with his wife near Lake Gaston, has been the pastor of Sanford Memorial Baptist Church in Brodnax, Virginia for more than a decade. His wife Nancy taught Sunday school at the church.

Those who know the couple say there was not an ounce of hate in their bodies.

“They’d give you the shirt off their back,” Deacon Buck Gittman said of the couple. “Why would they be subject to such a heinous act? All they had to do was ask and they would’ve been given keys to the Mercedes and the Suburban.”

Saucier was charged and jailed in October 2016 for taking photos onboard a nuclear submarine in 2009. He believes his case was an attempt by the Obama administration to “take the heat” off of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server at the State Department.

"A Clean Reset": Trump Said To Be Cleaning House; Kelly, McMaster, Jared, Ivanka All On Way Out

President Trump is said to be cleaning house, according to Vanity Fair's Gabriel Sherman who writes on Friday that "Trump Is Going for a Clean Reset": Fuming in the West Wing, Trump Prepares to Defenestrate Cuck Allies and Go Full MAGA. According to a "Republican in frequent contact with the White House," Trump is "tired of being reined in," and is ready to clean the slate in the West Wing to his liking.

With the departures of Hope Hicks and Gary Cohn, the Trump presidency is entering a new phase—one in which Trump is feeling liberated to act on his impulses. “Trump is in command. He’s been in the job more than a year now. He knows how the levers of power work. He doesn’t give a fuck,” the Republican said. Trump’s decision to circumvent the policy process and impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum reflects his emboldened desire to follow his impulses and defy his advisers. “It was like a fuck-you to Kelly,” a Trump friend said. “Trump is red-hot about Kelly trying to control him.”

College student barred from class for rejecting ‘the reality of white male privilege’

A student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania was barred from class, forced to apologize and given an academic referral for disputing “the reality of white male privilege.”

Lake Ingle said students in his Feb. 28 religious studies class watched a TED Talk by transgender woman Paula Stone Williams. He said only women were allowed to participate in a subsequent discussion.

“The floor was opened, and not a single woman spoke,” Mr. Ingletold Campus Reform. “Thirty seconds or so passed and still no woman had spoken. So, I decided it was permissible for me to enter conversation, especially because I felt the conversation itself was completely inappropriate in its structure.”

Mr. Ingle said he disputed several claims in the video, arguing there are only two biological sexes and that the gender wage gap is a myth.

The next day, Mr. Ingle met with his instructor, religious studies professor Alison Downie, who presented him with an academic referral for “objecting to the professor’s class discussion structure,” refusing to “stop talking out of turn,” making “angry outbursts in response to being required to listen to a trans speaker discuss the reality of white male privilege and sexism,” and referring disrespectfully to “the validity of trans identity and experience.”

She ordered Mr. Ingle to “write an apology to the professor which specifically addresses each of the disrespectful behaviors described above, demonstrating ability to take responsibility for inappropriate behavior which has significantly damaged the learning environment of this course.”

Is George Soros funding Fusion GPS?

A Russian billionaire writes that George Soros, a major financier of liberal causes, is funding Fusion GPS, the firm that orchestrated the Christopher Steele dossier.

If true, it is possible that Fusion GPS’s ongoing anti-Trump investigations have not only been funded by the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton campaign, but also by currency trader Soros. He recently pledged $18 billion to a cast of liberal groups and causes.

The Soros connection was asserted by Oleg Deripaska, a Russian aluminum magnate whose name pops up from time to time in the Trump-Russia collusion investigation.

Fox News acquired secret text messages between Sen. Mark Warner, Virginia Democrat and Senate Select Committee on Intelligence vice chairman, and Washington attorney Adam Waldman. Mr. Waldman represents Mr. Deripaska.

Mr. Warner used Mr. Waldman as a go-between to reach Mr. Steele, a former British spy to whom the committee wants to speak. The back-and-forth from Warner to Waldman to Steele did not appear to be productive.

Trump Blasts Pennsylvania Supreme Court

President Donald Trump renewed calls for the U.S. Supreme Court’s intervention Saturday after Pennsylvania’s highest judicial tribunal struck down the state’s congressional district map, finding it was unlawfully tailored to benefit Republicans.

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania imposed a new statewide district map for the November 2018 elections, prompting GOP leaders to appeal to the high court with the president’s support.

“They’re doing a number with the congressional districts in your state,” Trump told a friendly audience in Pittsburg, Pa., Saturday night. “And hopefully the Supreme Court will take that case because this is horrible what they’ve done.”

In Saturday night’s preliminary bouts for week 4, Thomas Mottinger put on a show of power and punching accuracy against a game Jordan Scott from DC. Mottinger landed solid punches that caused the ring doctor to check on Scott twice through the three round bout to make sure he was ok to continue. In the end all three judges saw that Mottinger dominated the bout, which sends him to the Golden Gloves DC finals on April 7th

Also winning in Saturday nights preliminary bouts from the Eastern Shore was Marquette McMillian, fighting out of the Down Under Boxing, who will advance to the finals on April 7th.

Main St Gym’s Corey Moore of Salisbury will also advance to the Semi finals on March 24th in the 152lb Open class, while big James “Matt” McMurdo a teacher at Prince St Elementary School will advance to the State Finals on April 7th in the Super Heavyweight Division. “Right now we are in a good position with on 2 open class guys in the finals, 1 open class boxer in the semi finals and 1 novice in the semi finals. Erick Acosta already holds a championship and even our loss was a terrific performance by Jordan Brown that’s impressed everyone. So we just want to keep sharpening skills and maintain conditioning.” Said Main St. Coach, Hal Chernoff. “Everyone just has to be thinking about their next bout and not get caught up with anything beyond that. This is as solid of a team as we have every had and a great group of people.”

Fauxcahontas refuses DNA test to prove Native American heritage

Sen. Elizabeth Warren batted down calls for her to take a DNA test to prove her Native American heritage in an interview that aired Sunday.

“I know who I am. And never used it for anything. Never got any benefit from it anywhere,” Warren said of her ancestry on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

The Massachusetts Democrat has been under increased pressure to provide evidence of her Native American roots, with President Trump repeatedly mocking her as “Pocahontas” as recently as Saturday.

An editorial this month in Massachusetts’ Berkshire Eagle urged Warren to buy a DNA test for $99 to resolve the issue once and for all.

“All the senator needs to do is spit into a tube, wait a few weeks and get her answer,” the paper said.

West Virginia Senate OKs work requirement for food stamps

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Houses of West Virginia’s Legislature worked out a disagreement over a bill dealing with work requirements for food stamp eligibility, establishing a 2022 deadline for compliance.

Another change essentially made exceptions to a work requirement more closely mirror federal law.

Late Saturday night, each house approved a conference committee report. The Senate approved the bill, 24-9. The House passed it 73-23. The bill now goes to Gov. Jim Justice.

The bill has been controversial all session long.

On Saturday morning, the House of Delegates refused to concur, 62-36, with changes to the bill that were made in the Senate. The Senate had removed the deadline for compliance.

That set up the conference committee to work out differences.

The Senate had appointed senators Mike Maroney and Ryan Weld, Republicans, and Robert Plymale, a Democrat, to the conference committee.

It is believed China's first prototype station, Tiangong-1, will come crashing back to the planet around April 3, experts say.

US research organization Aerospace Corporation revealed that parts of southern Lower Michigan are among the regions that have the highest probability of being hit by falling debris, according to MLive.com.

But agencies will only know the precise date Tiangong-1 will impact and exactly where debris will fall during the finals weeks of its decline.

East River helicopter crash kills five in New York City

Five people were killed when a helicopter crashed into the East River of New York City on Sunday evening, police say.

Divers worked desperately to pull the five passengers from the helicopter but two of them died at the scene while the other three died in hospital.

The pilot managed to free himself and was rescued by a passing tugboat.

The helicopter, which had been chartered for a photo shoot, crashed near Roosevelt Island.

Police commissioner James O'Neill told reporters it had been privately leased by a group of photographers.

Video posted on social media showed a red helicopter appearing to make a semi-controlled descent at around 19:00 (23:00 GMT) before landing with some force in the water. It then began to tip over, its rotors still spinning and slicing into the water.

All Hazard Preparedness

Communities are vulnerable to any number of hazards or threatening situations. These can include incidents caused by natural disasters and man-made threats. The term “all hazard” is used to describe these potential situations that can impact you, your family, your home, or our community. In the event of a disaster or emergency situation, individuals and communities may need to be self-sufficient for some time until further assistance from the local, state, and/or federal agencies can be obtained. Preparing for “all hazards” requires knowing your risks and developing emergency plans to use during and after the situation. These efforts will help minimize the impact and protect your family, home, and community.

Weather risks to be prepared for include:

• Hurricane • Flooding • Wildfire • Thunderstorm • Heat Wave • Winter Storm • Tornado Cell Phone & Regular Phone Service Citizen Notification System

“Communicator” System. A citizen notification method used to notify the Citizens of Wicomico County of important information in the event of an impending or occurring emergency via telephone communications. The system utilizes telephone company wire line phone listings and addresses to place calls to residences in specific areas or countywide. Note: Telephone companies do not maintain data bases for cellular phones that include address. Therefore, in order for a cellular customer to receive an informational call they must register their cell phone through a Self Registration Portal accessed by visiting the County Department of Emergency Services website: www.wicomicocounty.org/ES.

Citizen Warning/Alert Siren System

The warning system is designed to alert residents and visitors of Wicomico County about an imminent hazard to include weather-related dangers such as a tornado warning. The specific emergency alerts will be broadcast over any or all of the 13 sirens located at local fire departments and the two maintained by the Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services. Wicomico’s siren system can be activated for either the entire county or for specific affected areas. In the event of an imminent hazard the alert tone – which differs from fire station alarms – will sound for a sustained 2 minutes. When the sirens sound, citizens should seek shelter immediately and then tune into local news media for additional information. Citizens should not call 9-1-1 to determine the hazard causing the activation.

NOAA Weather All-Hazards Radios (NWR)

During life-threatening weather conditions, NOAA Weather Radios send out a special alarm tone to signal NWR broadcasts for official Weather Service warnings, watches, forecasts, and other hazard information 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing comprehensive weather and emergency information alerting listeners to take appropriate safety measures. Information about NOAA weather radios can be obtained by visiting the Wicomico County Department of Emergency Services website at www.wicomicocounty.org/ES

For More Information For additional information about emergency preparedness topics to include weather events such as those cited above, man-made/natural disasters, and public health issues, visit the department’s web page at www.wicomicocounty.org/ES. Presentations on emergency preparedness topics can be scheduled by calling 410-548-4820 or by email: wema@wicomicocounty.org.

Christianity Sweeping China as Millions Convert

China's on track to contain the world's largest Christian population thanks to a surge in underground house churches and state-sanction places of worship, according to the Council of Foreign Relations.

In a background document titled "Christianity in China," the CFR estimates of the number of Protestants at anywhere from 58 million to 115 million and higher — though fewer than 30 million attend officially registered churches.

The CFR reported underground house churches exist parallel to state-sanctioned Christian churches, operating outside of the guidelines of the government, and their regulation by party authorities is largely determined by local leaders.

Rider University to Amend Bill Targeting Hate Speech

Students concerned bill would be used to silence conservative voices

The Rider University Student Government Association intends to amend a bill targeting hate speech, after students expressed concern that it could be wielded to silence conservative voices.

A bill passed last month stipulated that student clubs "may have their recognition called into question," should they "espouse inflammatory, hateful, or derogatory rhetoric or agendas."

The bill further asserted that an offense "need not meet legal or academic classifications of ‘hate speech' in order to violate this principle" in order for SGA to retaliate by defunding or de-recognizing a club.

This expansive, ambiguous wording was cause for alarm to the Rider College Republicans, who expressed fierce opposition to the measure.

Scheme that kept handlers from their dogs gets little attention from Inspector General

The Department of Defense's report condemning the Army's treatment of former military dogs and their handlers failed to address accusations that some of the dogs were given to a private company that planned to sell them to foreign governments.

The scheme, uncovered by the Washington Free Beacon last year, separated handlers from the dogs with whom they served and hoped to adopt before ultimately collapsing. The plan involved an international security contractor, the former assistant director of the Secret Service, and two men who claimed to be Secret Service agents. It inflicted untold emotional distress on a number of veterans and their families while leaving the kennel owner who nursed the K9s back to health teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

Army specialist Jake Carlberg and his dog Abby were one of the teams caught up in the ordeal. After spending over a year together in Afghanistan sniffing out bombs at a rate that made them one of the top dog teams in the area they were deployed, their bond seemed unbreakable.

"He would always say that she was his best friend," Glenna Carlberg, Jake’s wife, told the Free Beacon last year. "They searched for bombs for his company. … They found seven."

America To Hollywood: Drop Dead

Plummeting Oscar ratings the latest evidence of America’s culture war at work …

The latest casualty of America’s culture wars? The Oscars …

A record low 26.5 million viewers tuned into the 90th annual awards ceremony earlier this week, down 19 percent from last year’s 32.9 million audience (and down39 percent from 2014’s record of 43.7 million viewers).

Since 2001, the television audience for the Oscars eclipsed the 40 million threshold on eight separate occasions … and prior to this week, it had never dipped below 32 million.

Clearly the times they are-a-changing …

It’s not just the Oscars, either. The Grammys lost a quarter of its audience this year (well, 24 percent to be precise), while the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards saw its viewership plunge by 30 percent.

What gives?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but a large chunk of America is simply sick and tired of Hollywood. Its uber-liberalism. Its hypocrisy (ahem). Its smugness.

Brain injuries haunt Patriots players from 3 Super Bowl teams: suit

Forty-two players on the New England Patriots first three Super Bowl teams are part of a class-action lawsuit against the NFL and helmet maker Riddell alleging that they have symptoms of brain injuries caused by repetitive blows to the head during games and practices, according to a report.

In total, more than 340 former Patriots or their estates have sued the NFL and Riddell over brain injuries since the team was founded in 1960, including a number of Hall of Famers, the Boston Globe reported on Saturday.

In 2015, NFL teams agreed to pay about $1 billion to settle brain-injury claims by nearly 5,000 ex players in the suit – and an unknown number of Patriots are among more than 15,000 former players who have registered for potential benefits as part of the settlement, the report said.

The FBI Now Admits It Could Have Prevented The Florida High School Shooting

Amid the fallout from the February 14 school shooting in Parkland, FL, that left 17 dead, the FBI and local law enforcement received widespread criticism for their inability to prevent the shooting despite multiple warning signs and opportunities.

On Tuesday, the FBI admitted these failures to the House Judiciary Committee during a hearing focused on how the bureau handled tips about Nikolas Cruz prior to the massacre.

FBI Deputy Director David Bowdich met with members of the House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, acknowledging that, as the House Judiciary Committee’s press release put it, “opportunities were missed.”

That release summarized the takeaways, which have already been highlighted in media reports:

“In September 2017, the FBI received an Internet tip from a video blogger about a threatening comment posted to a YouTube video the blogger had posted. The comment stated, ‘I am going to be a professional school shooter,’ and was posted under the username ‘nikolas cruz.’”

According to the hearing, an FBI office in Mississippi received that tip, but after officials investigated it, they closed the case because “it lacked personal identifiable information on the user who posted the threatening comment” (the username “nikolas cruz” was evidently not enough for the agents to go on).

Apparently, however, the agents could have done more:

Disgraced Parkland Officer Lied, Radio Dispatch Recording Reveals

As gunman Nikolas Cruz went on a rampage at Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, firing on students and teachers until his semiautomatic AR-15 jammed, Broward Deputy Scot Peterson cowered outside behind the safety of cover, "pointing his gun at nothing."

Peterson publicly stated that he thought gunfire was happening outside on campus, not inside the building - perhaps to justify not going in to stop the shooting which claimed 17 lives.

He lied.

Internal radio dispatches released by the Broward County Sheriff's Office Thursday reveal Peterson immediately focused on Building 12 and radioed that gunfire was happening "inside."

What's more - Peterson warned his fellow officer to stay away - despite wounded students and staff inside who required assistance. Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO) policy requires deputies to engage an active shooter and eliminate the threat.

“Do not approach the 12 or 1300 building, stay at least 500 feet away,” shouted a panicked Peterson as people screamed in the background.

New Minimum Wage Compliance Could Cost OC $188K

OCEAN CITY — Complying with the next step in the minimum wage increase will likely cost the town of Ocean City over $188,000 annually, but an added benefit could be an upgrade in the quality of applicants for temporary seasonal employees.

For the last several years, the minimum wage in Maryland has gone up incrementally and will reach a new height at $10.10 per hour on July 1. Throughout the incremental increase process, the town’s human resources department has made the necessary adjustments in the overall pay scale for employees to absorb the changes. On Monday, Human Resources Director Wayne Evans presented a recommendation that will help the town absorb the last step in the minimum wage increase process.

“A 2-percent pay table adjustment is recommended,” he said. “The minimum wage increase will be totally absorbed, but it is going to impact the bottom end of the pay scale.”

Evans explained the incremental 2-percent increase would affect many of the hundreds of temporary and seasonal workers each summer. He said the town hires roughly 730 seasonal employees each year.

Hollywood condemns NRA while dramatically increasing their gun violence

Hollywood declared war on American gun culture in 2013 with a public service announcement calling for stricter gun control in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Now the industry is back on the attack in the wake of the Feb. 14 high school shooting in Parkland, Florida. Stars including Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney and the cast of ABC’s “Modern Family” support this month’s March for Our Lives rally for stricter gun legislation.

Yet a study by the Parents Television Council shows that portrayals of gun violence on television have increased dramatically in recent years, even in shows deemed appropriate for children.

The entertainment industry’s love of gunplay and hatred for firearms muddles, if not negates, Hollywood’s role in a constructive conversation on the Second Amendment.

So with that, Pa sticks his head in the hole, looks around and yells back, "Ma! There ain't nuthin wrong with this outhouse!"

Ma hollers back, "Now take your head out of the hole!"

Pa proceeds to pull his head out of the hole, then starts yelling,
"Ma! Help! My beard is stuck in the cracks in the toilet seat!"
To which Ma replies,"Hurts, don't it?!"

Weather Update

It is still looking likely that portions of the region receive light accumulations Monday afternoon through Monday evening. Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for western portions of the region where there is the highest likelihood of up to 2 inches of snow accumulation.

Winter storm -- 3rd nor'easter to target Northeast

A storm system moving across parts of the South is expected to intensify on Monday and become a nor'easter, bringing heavy snow and high winds for a third time in less than two weeks to a region still cleaning up from two previous storms.

The National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center said while there is still some uncertainty about the track, an area from the mid-Atlantic to New England could be affected by the storm.

"The best prospects for accumulating snow will be for the southern and central Appalachians and interior portions of New England," the agency said. "If the nor'easter tracks closer to the coast, then high winds and coastal flooding will be an issue."

Winter Storm Watches have been issued from Connecticut up through to Maine for the possibility of 4 to 8 inches of snow from Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon in the Boston area, and 6 to 12 inches in Maine.
