It's been reported that Joe Carmean, (Editor of the Daily Times) was to be fired yesterday by Greg Bassett. As of late yesterday, his name was still on the staff directory, but it is no longer there now.

Interestingly, Sarah Lake is still listed.

On A Personal Note

I want to thank all of you for sticking with us these past few days on the Ireton issue. We enjoyed a record week this week and today has already turned some incredible numbers.

That being said I want to put a thought out there for all of you to think over.

Last week when Mayor Ireton wanted to hold a Press Conference I caught wind of it and called the Mayor's Office. I asked what time and what location. His Office stated only select media was invited. I immediately responded with, a PUBLIC Official is holding a PUBLIC Press Conference in a PUBLIC building and your trying to tell me I'm not invited? The reply was, as of this moment, no. I was told I would get a return phone call after the Mayor came into the Office, that never happened.

Here's what I want YOU to think about long and hard. Allegedly Jim Ireton and Joe Albero are VICTIMS of this alleged act allegedly caused by his friends at the Daily Times. However, Mayor Jim Ireton did in fact invite the Daily Times to this Press Conference.

I had told Jim's Office that IF he did not allow me into the Press Conference I would immediately file a lawsuit against the City, stay tuned.

Nevertheless, how is it that the very group Mayor Jim Ireton claims was the cause of this issue were invited, yet even as an alleged victim I was not? Put aside the fact that I own a competitive Website.

The Mayor is CONTROLLING the Press and FREE SPEECH. Every form of Media should be all over this like there's no tomorrow, but they're not. Love me or hate me, free speech is free speech.

Its time for a new Mayor. I have never denied Jonathan Taylor the right to his free speech. In fact, I have defended his right, (even though so many dislike him) he has that right and he should have every opportunity to disseminate information the way he sees fit. It is up to YOU whether or not you go to his Site, (or any other) to view the content. My only beef with others is that they leave my Wife and Grandson alone. In fact, I heard last night that one of the anti bloggers threatened my Wife and Grandson recently by stating they should be very afraid to be alone in Delmar. Of course Matt Maciarello and Mike Lewis won't follow up on such a threat but they'll try investigating me for bogus charges, go figure.

Anyhow, sorry for that rant. Mayor Ireton needs to send out press releases and invite all forms of media to press conferences. As Mayor of Salisbury I will make sure everyone is invited. And do you know why, because I'll never have anything to HIDE.

Have a great weekend Folks and thanks again for all of your support.

I want to add this note to the end. When Chief Duncan asked me if they could subpoena my phone records I told her no but I would talk to my attorney after she pressed the issue. I had received numerous comments challenging me by stating I refused to cooperate with the Police. Well, let me say this. First of all, I immediately went to the Police and showed them Jim Ireton did in fact call me, they confirmed it right then and there. There was NO reason to turn over my phone records as I did NOT want anyone reviewing who my sources might be. The important phone record would have been Jim Ireton's, not mine.

That being said, the Press should respect the fact that I have NEVER been willing to give permission to allow anyone to view my records, nor should they. There was NO murder or crime, it shouldn't have happened.

Black Mob Violence Hits Nordstrom's

Black mob violence has taken on a new note in Portland, Ore. It’s not the unsuspecting passersby or the corner convenience store that’s the target here.
It’s Nordstrom’s.

Just weeks ago, a group of 10-15 hoodie-wearing blacks allegedly stole clothing and raced out of the store. Their actions were captured on video.

So far, the evidence makes it looks like just one more of the hundreds of episodes of racial lawlessness that have taken place in more than 60 cities over the last three years.

Jogger Targeted By Teens Turns Out to be Kung Fu Expert

Two teenagers got more than they bargained for when a Washington state woman they attempted to assault turned out to be an expert in martial arts.

KATU reports that Priscilla Dang was jogging in her Vancouver neighborhood last Friday when she was approached by two teenagers on their bikes.

One pulled in front of her as the other groped her from behind.

Fortunately for Dang she had studied Kung Fu for 18 years at a martial arts school owned by her family. She used the training to teach her attacker some manners.

New Jersey Woman Hit With Baseball Sues Little League Player

A New Jersey woman who was struck in the face with a baseball at a Little League game is suing the young catcher who threw it.

Elizabeth Lloyd is seeking more than $150,000 in damages to cover medical costs stemming from the incident at a Manchester Little League game two years ago. She's also seeking an undefined amount for pain and suffering.

Lloyd was sitting at a picnic table near a fenced-in bullpen when she was hit with the ball.

Busted Smoking Pot In Police Parking Lot

Ocean City police said they caught three men smoking pot in the parking lot of their headquarters.

Officers were in the parking lot of the Public Safety Building in the process of their shift change at about 8 a.m. on Tuesday when they noticed a black Hyundai with the windows down and three men in and around the vehicle.

As officers passed the men, all from Cranberry, Pa., they said they noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

George Washington’s annotated Constitution fetches almost $10 million

Having set a world record, George Washington’s personal copy of the Constitution is heading home.

A book containing Washington’s annotated Constitution and a draft of the Bill of Rights was purchased for almost $10 million by the Mount Vernon Ladies‘ Association in a Friday auction at Christie’s in New York.

Printed and bound in 1789, the book features Washington’s signature on the title page and sold for a winning bid of $9,826,500 - an amount the venerable auction house said was a world auction record for an American book or historical document.

Part of Washington’s original private library at Mount Vernon, the book will once again be housed at the historic Virginia estate, as part of the collection at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington, currently under construction and set to open next fall.

State To Require Licenses For Abortion Clinics

Maryland's health department is adopting new regulations requiring licenses for surgical abortion clinics for the first time.

The new regulations announced Friday apply to about 20 clinics and are a response to a 2010 incident in which a woman needed emergency surgery after an abortion performed by an unlicensed doctor at an Elkton clinic.

Clinics that routinely perform surgical abortions and are not regulated by the state must now obtain a license. To do so, they must meet anesthesia, emergency, laboratory and radiological service requirements adapted from regulations for ambulatory surgical centers.

Here Are 6 New Facts You Need to Know About the Abused Bus Driver Incident

As outrage continues over video footage showing a bus monitor from Greece, New York, being abused by middle school children, the kids at the center of the controversy are speaking out. On Thursday night, CNN’s Anderson Cooper read official statements from the children that purportedly showcased their remorse — apologies that victim Karen Klein flatly rejected.

(1) These apologies are an interesting, new element in the bizarre incident that has attracted mass attention and support for Klein. The Huffington Post provides a recap of the comments that were released to CNN and read on the air to Klein last night:
“I feel really bad about what I did,” [Weslie], one of the boys in the video, said in a statement issued to the show by police. “I wish I had never done those things. If that had happened to someone in my family, like my mother or grandmother, I would be really mad at the people who did that to them.”
“I am so sorry for the way I treated you,” Josh, another one of the boys, said in a statement. “When I saw the video I was disgusted and could not believe I did that. I am sorry for being so mean and I will never treat anyone this way again.”

Temporary Public Use Closure at Assateague National Seashore

A new area of Assateague Island National Seashore is temporarily closed to public use in order to protect breeding piping plovers. The closed area includes the portion of the public Over-Sand Vehicle (OSV) route south of kilometer marker (KM) 18.0. All vehicle use south of KM 18.0 is prohibited. The updated closure began June 15, and will remain in effect for up to four weeks.

To continue to accommodate over- night camping, the designated “bullpen” camping area has been temporarily relocated north of the new closure area within the existing OSV zone.

The interior portion of northern Assateague Island, including much of the island north of Assateague State Park, has been closed to public use since April. The ocean beaches along northern Assateague Island remain open and accessible from Assateague State Park and from the boat landing area on the Island’s northern tip.

Gay activists make obscene gesture at Reagan White House portrait

The White House expressed disapproval Friday of photographs showing gay-rights activists, guests of President Obama, making obscene gestures at the portrait of President Reagan during a gay-pride reception at the White House last week.

“While the White House does not control the conduct of guests at receptions, we certainly expect that all attendees conduct themselves in a respectful manner,” said White House spokesman Shin Inouye. “Most all do. These individuals clearly did not. Behavior like this doesn’t belong anywhere, least of all in the White House.”

Matthew “Matty” Hart and Zoe Strauss, both from the Philadelphia area, posted photographs of themselves on Facebook giving the middle finger to Mr. Reagan’s official portrait hanging in the White House as they attended the party.

County Wants Word Spread About IED Course

SNOW HILL -- The range at Langmaid Road will once again be playing host to explosives testing. However, after the controversy surrounding Hardwire last fall, the Worcester County Commissioners are being extra sensitive to any concerns from nearby residents, especially in regards to forewarning before the September tests.

“I think we should do more than we have done in the past,” said Commissioner Judy Boggs.

The commission agreed and has instructed Fire Marshall Jeff McMahon to ask those hosting the course to notify all residents in the area prior to testing.
Stretching for three days, the latest explosives course will be taught by Dr. Kirk Yeagar, an expert with the

Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The tests will focus on the detonation of small improvised explosive devices (IED) as well as several hours of response training. The first two days of the testing will be for bomb technicians and post-blast fire and explosive investigators.

Sarandon Film May Require Substantial Financial Help From City

If the upcoming feature film, “Ping Pong Summer,” is to be filmed entirely in Ocean City, it will require not only the town’s logistical cooperation, but also a significant financial contribution from the municipality, according to an email sent by the film’s lead producer to city officials.

In a message to Councilman Joe Hall, producer George Rush stated that he was contacting Hall – and would soon be contacting the mayor and other council members – to introduce the idea of filming in Ocean City for six weeks beginning in mid-September. Rush mentioned four Hollywood notables who have committed to the movie thus far – Susan Sarandon, James Nesbitt, Amy Sedaris and Judah Friedlander.

As previously reported by several entertainment websites, the film will star Sarandon in a coming-of-age tale about a teenage boy obsessed with table tennis and early hip-hop music, and his memorable family vacation to Ocean City in the summer of 1985.

Berlin’s New Wine Bar First Of Its Kind In Maryland

The state’s first exclusively Maryland wine bar opened earlier this month in Berlin and is going strong, according to owner Deborah Everett.

Everett attributed much of the success the Maryland Wine Bar at Berlin is having to the town’s relaxed, old-fashioned atmosphere as well as enthusiasm from state wineries.

“People love the concept. They think we’re unique,” said Everett.

As implied by its name, the Maryland Wine Bar at Berlin only sells wine from state wineries. That local loyalty becomes a win-win for everyone, said Everett.

A Comment Worthy Of A Post

Sarah Lake has left a new comment on your post "Did Mayor Jim Ireton Make The Call, You Decide?":

LMAO all this over a stupid phone call. The reason the DT doesn't refer to you as anything but a stupid blogger is because that's all you are. Heck, we all are potential Mayoral candidates. In fact, I'm a better potential candidate than you- I pay my taxes on time!

What I sense here is that you're not used to being bullied, because you're the cyber-bullier aka cyberterrorist. You are a loser who reeks of stupid.

Granny came out and made her speech because she was sick of you using her deceased granddaughter for hits and advertising money. You didn't give one flying crap about Sarah Foxwell, and you don't still. I hope you do run, because once I let the Dr Delusional bunch and all your other "friends" have some of my detailed information- we're going to make you the laughingstock of the east coast. You won't run for dog catcher after this is done, you silly little boy.

Donations For Bullied New York Bus Monitor Surpass $500G

An online feel-good fundraising effort for a bullied bus monitor has surpassed half a million dollars — and is growing.

More than $530,362 has been donated to Karen Klein, a 68-year-old grandmother of eight who appears on a 10-minute video earlier this week being berated and bullied by four seventh-graders on a bus operated by the Greece Central School District, near Rochester, N.Y. Klein has also been offered a trip to Disney Land with nine guests by Southwest Airlines, has confirmed.

"We are so happy the nation has rallied around Karen, but also deeply saddened that it happened because of such a horrifying video," Southwest spokesman Brooks Thomas wrote in an e-mail. "We didn't do it for the coverage ... It was just the right thing to do."

Editors Note:  If you click on the "donated" link above it will take you to the page where you can donate and also see how much has already been donated. At the current time it is almost at $600G
