Maryland to Receive $1.4M to Help Fight Zika Virus

BALTIMORE (WJZ)–As the showdown continues between the White House and Congress over money to help fight the Zika virus, the CDC is doing what it can to prevent an outbreak in the U.S.

Nearly $60-million in funding, distributed through CDC’s Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Infectious Diseases Cooperative Agreement (ELC) will be awarded to states and cities to support efforts to protect Americans from the virus. Maryland will be given $1.4-million to tackle the virus.

This comes weeks after President Obama requested $1.9 billion for the same reason, but Congress–both Democrats and Republicans–failed to approve a budget.

“Republicans in Congress can help pass that bill that treats Zika, like the serious threat that it is, fully fund our response,” said President Obama. “That’s an example of protecting America and helping other countries too. We can get that done.”

Mother Of Benghazi Victim: 'I Blame Hillary Clinton Personally For The Death Of My Son'

CLEVELAND — Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith who was killed in the Benghazi terrorist attack, said on Monday, “I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son.”

Speaking at the Republican National Convention, while discussing the Benghazi terrorist attack Smith said, “I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son. Yes, personally. In an e-mail to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on s terrorism, but when I saw Hillary Clinton… she lied to me and then called me a liar.”

“When I saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony, just days later, she looked me in the eye and told me a video was responsible,” Smith said.

“Since then I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to ask explain to me the real reason why my son is dead. I’m still waiting,” Smith said. “Whenever I called the State Department, no one would speak to me because they say I am not a member of the immediate family.”

Baltimore community feels neglected by police

West Baltimore residents are frustrated by the high rate of violent crimes in their community and what they feel is a lack of police presence.

"We are very displeased with what we call the lack of service, the lack of protection that our community is receiving," said community activist, Marvin Cheatham.

Community activists held a news conference Wednesday to express their concerns.

"I see the killings and the shootings and the people are crying out," said community activist Reverend Keith Bailey. "What are we going to do?"

Hillary Clinton's lying is the behavior of a sociopath

When Great Britain’s Boris Johnson was forced out of the running to replace David Cameron as prime minister by an act of the utmost treachery, the civilized minority on both sides of the Atlantic knew that we had only one candidate left to deliver us amusement and a dramatic shift to good government, Donald Trump. He is entertaining, good natured, and possessed of sound ideas to break the logjam in Washington. The Brits are just going to have to be patient.

After all, Boris is not completely out of government. Mr. Cameron’s successor, Theresa May, has just made him foreign minister, a position from which he can continue to shake up Europe, the English-speaking world, and even his country’s staid Foreign Office. He is energetic and has a delightful way with words, for instance, when he chided President Obama for “the part-Kenyan president’s ancestral dislike of the British Empire.” Mr. Obama had ordered that a bust of Winston Churchill be removed from the White House, even though the British statesman was part-American. That was rich. Or when he disesteemed Hillary Clinton for having “dyed blonde hair and pouty lips, and a steely blue stare, like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital.”

Another good line Boris, but was his assessment fair? I think not. To begin with, she does not have “a steely blue stare.” The blue of her eyes is, as with practically everything else about her, a studied fake. She wears blue contact lenses. Her blue eyes look a muddy brown without her cosmetic lenses. As for her “dyed blonde hair,” for all I know she is bald. When Boris speaks of her putting him in mind of a “sadistic nurse in a mental institution,” he is only half right.

More than 100 arrested in Los Angeles-area ICE operation targeting convicted criminal aliens

LOS ANGELES – A Mexican national formerly convicted of attempted murder of a peace officer and a Salvadoran gang member with a lengthy rap sheet are among the 112 foreign nationals arrested in the greater Los Angeles area over the last four days during an operation conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) targeting at-large criminal aliens.
All of the 100 men and 12 women taken into custody by ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers during this week’s operation, which concluded late Wednesday, had criminal histories. The majority (62) had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as child sex crimes, weapons charges, and assault. The remaining arrestees had past convictions for significant or multiple misdemeanors. One of those taken into custody is a previously deported criminal alien who will now be presented for federal prosecution for re-entry after removal, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
The remaining arrestees will be processed administratively for removal from the United States. Those who have outstanding orders of deportation, or who returned to the United States illegally after being deported, are subject to immediate removal from the country. The remaining individuals are in ICE custody awaiting a hearing before an immigration judge, or pending travel arrangements for removal in the near future.
“This operation exemplifies ICE’s ongoing commitment to targeting convicted criminals and public safety threats for arrest and removal,” said David Marin, deputy field office director for ERO Los Angeles. “By taking these individuals off our streets and ultimately removing them from the country, we’re making our communities safer for everyone.”

Yale Rehires Employee Who Smashed Window For Being Racist

Yale University is rehiring an employee who illegally smashed a historic stained glass window because he thought it was racist, saying the employee deserves a second chance.

Corey Menafee worked as a dishwasher for Yale until late June, when he became so incensed over a stained glass window showing two black slaves picking cotton that he impulsively grabbed a broomstick and smashed the window. The stained glass window was decades old and was part of a series related to the life of John C. Calhoun, a slaveowner and U.S. senator for whom Yale’s Calhoun College is named for.

When asked about the matter, Menafee defended his action by saying “It’s 2016, I shouldn’t have to come to work and see things like that.”

BREAKING NEWS: Hillary Clinton: Sen. Tim Kaine is my VP pick

Hillary Clinton Friday evening confirmed Sen. Tim Kaine (D- Virginia) as her pick to serve as vice president.

Kaine, 58, had been a favorite for the vice presidential slot since the start of Clinton's search process. He has been active in the Senate on foreign relations and military affairs and built a reputation for working across the aisle as Virginia's governor and mayor of Richmond.

A former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, Kaine has also worked as a lawyer on fair housing and civil rights issues. He had been considered a leading vice presidential contender for weeks based on his broad political experience in Virginia, another presidential battleground.

First-Degree Assault For Stabbing Attempt
OCEAN CITY — A Leesburg, Va. man was arrested on first-degree assault and other charges last weekend after allegedly chasing another man with a knife during an intoxicated, racially-charged, expletive-laced tirade on a downtown resort street.

Around 12:30 a.m. last Friday, an Ocean City police officer on uniformed patrol responded to the area of Lark Lane for a citizen’s report of two men yelling profanities and appearing as if they were going to fight in the middle of the street. As the officer approached, even from a distance of at least 100 feet away, he observed the suspect, later identified as Jermell Norris, 33, screaming racial slur-laced profanities in the street as a crowd began to form.

The officer observed Norris chasing after a male victim with a metal folding knife. The officer approached in his vehicle and observed Norris continuing to chase the victim with the knife. According to police reports, the victim was covering his side and complained of pain in his rib cage. The officer ordered Norris to sit down, but when Norris failed to comply and continued his tirade, the officer utilized his Taser to gain compliance.

Court Slams McAuliffe for Lack of Transparency

McAuliffe still refuses to provide list of felons included in executive order

Judges on Virginia’s highest court criticized the lack of transparency surrounding Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe’s executive action to restore voting rights to 206,000 felons.

The State Supreme Court held a hearing on Tuesday after Republican lawmakers sued to block the executive order, which they say is an unconstitutional overreach of power by the governor’s office. Previous governors have issued restoration of voting rights on an individual basis.

Justice William Mims took issue with the McAuliffe administration’s refusal to release a list of all the felons included in the order, which has been requested by the press, state prosecutors, and the state legislature.

Miller Trial Set For Next Week

In spite of calls from various groups for prosecutors to drop the charges, the next trial of a Baltimore Police charged in the death of Freddie Gray will move forward next week.

An advisory from the court indicates pre-trial motions for Officer Garrett Miller will be heard on Wednesday, with jury selection scheduled for Thursday.

However, Miller is expected to follow the lead of the last three officers to stand trial and request a bench trial.

If that happens, Miller's trial likely wouldn't begin until next Friday at the earliest.

Miller, 27, is charged with second degree assault, reckless endangerment and two counts of misconduct in office. These are all misdemeanors.

Miller will be the fifth officer to go on trial for Gray's death. The last three officers to stand trial, Edward Nero, Caesar Goodson and Brian Rice, were all acquitted in bench trials.

JUST IN: Va. Supreme Court: McAuliffe’s voting rights restoration is unconstitutional

RICHMOND, Va. (WAVY) — The Virginia Supreme Court has ruled that Governor Terry McAuliffe’s executive order to restore voting rights to felons is unconstitutional.

In April, McAuliffe issued an executive order restoring voting rights to more than 200,000 felons.

The Virginia Supreme Court found the governor violated precedence by issuing the sweeping order and not restoring felon’s rights in a case by case basis.

The court also ruled to take away voting rights of those felons who have had it restored, which will affects thousands of people across the Commonwealth.

"My Own People Hate Me!" - Black Brooklyn Cop Slams "False Narrative Of Black Lives Matter"

I have come to realize something that is still hard for me to understand to this day. The following may be a shock to some coming from an African American, but the mere fact that it may be shocking to some is prima facie evidence of the sad state of affairs that we are in as Humans.

I used to be so torn inside growing up. Here I am, a young African-American born and raised in Brooklyn, NY wanting to be a cop. I watched and lived through the crime that took place in the hood. My own black people killing others over nothing. Crack heads and heroin addicts lined the lobby of my building as I shuffled around them to make my way to our 1 bedroom apartment with 6 of us living inside. I used to be woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of gun fire, only to look outside and see that it was 2 African Americans shooting at each other.

It never sat right with me. I wanted to help my community and stop watching the blood of African Americans spilled on the street at the hands of a fellow black man. I became a cop because black lives in my community, along with ALL lives, mattered to me, and wanted to help stop the bloodshed.

As time went by in my law enforcement career, I quickly began to realize something. I remember the countless times I stood 2 inches from a young black man, around my age, laying on his back, gasping for air as blood filled his lungs. I remember them bleeding profusely with the unforgettable smell of deoxygenated dark red blood in the air, as it leaked from the bullet holes in his body on to the hot sidewalk on a summer day. I remember the countless family members who attacked me, spit on me, cursed me out, as I put up crime scene tape to cordon off the crime scene, yelling and screaming out of pain and anger at the sight of their loved ones taking their last breath. I never took it personally, I knew they were hurting. I remember the countless times I had to order new uniforms, because the ones I had on, were bloody from the blood of another black victim…of black on black crime. I remember the countless times I got back in my patrol car, distraught after having watched another black male die in front me, having to start my preliminary report something like this:

Berlin police HQ to triple in size

In less than two years, the Berlin Police Department expects to move into a new $2.5 million station that more than triples the size of its current building and brings many of its amenities up to current standards.

The Town Council on July 11 approved a bid by Willow Construction LLC to build the new station near the corner of Flower Street and Route 376.

The town used casino revenue to buy the property, and will continue to use those funds to finance design and construction costs.

Town Administrator Laura Allen said contractor Crosby & Associates worked on the design and assisted with the bid process. Five bidders responded to a request for proposals and were narrowed down to two, with the lowest bid winning.

“What this will do is this will get [police] a state-of-the-art facility that meets all the current requirements. Not that we’re out of compliance, but they have workarounds that they have to engage in when they handle different situations that they won’t have to work so hard at with this facility,” she said.

Mystery Surrounds Sources of Many Bill Clinton Speaking Fees

Small foreign speaking firms often listed as source of payments, actual paychecks came from undisclosed third parties

By all accounts, it was the most popular gala the Lady Taverners had ever held. Over 1,000 people packed the Park Lane Hilton in London on Oct. 30, 2009, with the crowd overflowing into the hallways, to listen to President Bill Clinton speak on the power of giving.

While Clinton’s speech helped raise a substantial sum for the prominent cricket charity, his staggering $290,000 speaking fee was not covered by the group, according to organizers. The fee also was not covered by “World Management Limited,” the marketing company Hillary Clinton listed as the payment source in her federal financial filings.

It was bankrolled by a wealthy British businessman named Robert Whitton—a name you won’t find included in the Clintons’ public disclosure forms.

Mayor Draws Ire After Hanging Black Lives Matter Banner on City Hall

(SOMERVILLE, Mass.) — Controversy over a Black Lives Matter banner affixed to the front of City Hall in the blue collar suburb of Somerville, Massachusetts, continued to rage Thursday as Mayor Joseph Curtatone announced that the sign would stay despite a request from the police union’s president to replace it with a banner that says “All Lives Matter.” Curtatone’s decision has prompted both outrage and praise in the community.

“The mayor has clearly chosen a side, and it’s not to support law enforcement,” Somerville Police Employees Association President Michael McGrath told ABC News.

The Black Lives Matter banner has hung near the entrance of Somerville City Hall since last August after Curtatone met with Black Lives Matter members who were upset at the arrests of protesters after they blocked a major Boston area highway during a Black Lives Matter protest in January, 2015. Those arrested became known as “the Somerville 18.” Most of them avoided jail time, instead receiving sentences of 60 hours of community service.

Philadelphia airport workers plan to strike during DNC

The fight to raise the minimum wage is headed to the doorstep of the Democratic National Convention, with local airport workers planning to go on strike when delegates descend upon Philadelphia next week.

Roughly 1,000 workers, including those who handle luggage, attend to passengers in wheelchairs and clean plane cabins, are expected to not show up for work in order to call attention to their demands for a $15 minimum wage and the ability to join the Service Employees International Union.

No specific date has been chosen. "It could be a one-day strike. It could be protracted,'' SEIU spokesman Marc Goumbri said, adding that a majority of the workers voted for the action on July 12. "But it’s going to occur while delegates are in Philadelphia" for the Democratic National Convention.

The work stoppage is the latest in a flurry of protests, rallies and walkouts staged at airports across the U.S., and is part of a broader movement by low-wage workers in industries ranging from child care to food service to boost pay to at least $15 an hour.

Benghazi Vet Special Ops Will Quit If Clinton Is Elected

The best and brightest of the U.S. military and special operations community will quit if Hillary Clinton gets elected president, according to Benghazi survivor and former CIA operative John “Tig” Tiegen.

Tiegen witnessed firsthand the results of Clinton’s policy when he and his comrades in the Benghazi CIA Global Response Service Team defended U.S. consulate and CIA officials from a massive assault by radical Libyan jihadis Sept. 11, 2013.

He told The Daily Caller News Foundation Clinton’s failure as secretary of state during the Benghazi attack has caused many of the nation’s most elite special operations forces to quit their jobs — a problem that will only get worse if Clinton is elected.

“There’s guys leaving now just because of that,” Tiegen told TheDCNF in an exclusive Facebook Live video interview Tuesday. “Cause they don’t know if the call for help is going to be heard.”

Fifty Fox News Stars Stand With Roger Ailes

All of Fox News’ primetime lineup is willing to walk out of the network with chief executive and chairman Roger Ailes if he is pushed out by Rupert Murdoch and his family, Breitbart News has confirmed.

Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Shepard Smith, Bret Baier, Eric Bolling, Neil Cavuto, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Laura Ingraham, Geraldo Rivera, Juan Williams, Jeanine Pirro, Bo Dietl, Monica Crowley, all of the Fox and Friends hosts, and at least 50 Fox News contributors are willing to depart the network if Ailes is ousted, and leave with him to form a new network, one of the network’s anchors told Breitbart News late Tuesday.

All of them stand against Megyn Kelly, and all of them stand with Roger Ailes.

This development, which has been confirmed to Breitbart News by multiple network sources, effectively boxes in those who want to remove Ailes. Either they can throw all in behind Megyn Kelly—in which case they would have to forfeit most of the rest of the network—or they can stand with the hardworking anchors and news personalities at Fox News.

“If Fox wants to become the ‘all about Megyn Network,’ that’s fine,” one top Fox News host said. “We stand with Roger. And real anger has emerged that the so-called Megyn incident happened 10 years ago. The consensus among the hosts and contributors is: ‘Why didn’t she say anything then? Really, the same woman that posed half naked in GQ? The same woman on Howard Stern saying what?’”

A second top Fox News Channel host told Breitbart News: “If Megyn Kelly wants to leave, we are fine with that. Good riddance.”

Curing Our Coast: ‘We Are Just Trying To Get To The The Head Of The Snake’

BERLIN — The eastbound lane of Route 50 is buzzing with beachgoers as it is on most Friday afternoons in the summertime near Ocean City. Yet, on this day, a small team of undercover officers sit in strategic spots along the busy traffic artery poised and patiently waiting for one vehicle they expect to be passing within the next few minutes. The team believes this vehicle isn’t packed with Boogie boards or beach towels. Rather, it’s transporting heroin. You can feel the adrenaline start to bubble as the encrypted radio line crackles with word that the vehicle is closing in.

“I just crossed over the line,” says the voice. “She’s about a half a mile behind me in the right hand lane approaching fast.”

Two other voices chime in almost inaudible audio bursts on the line. The officers trade off coded language that indicates that all signs seem to point to the assumption that drugs are in the vehicle.

Listening to all of this is the man calling the shots and ultimately will pull the verbal trigger to pursue the vehicle and enact the arrest. He listens intently while his eyes are still locked on the hundreds of cars whizzing by us on Route 50.

“We’re going to keep it as low-key as we can because we only have one shot at this,” says Sgt. Nate Passwaters of the Worcester County Sheriff Department’s Criminal Enforcement Team. “We’ve been watching this person’s spouse for a few weeks, and we are pretty sure that they just made a trip up to Baltimore this morning to get some scramble. It looks like she’s the drug mule today”

How Many People Were Shot This Week At The RNC In Cleveland?

NONE, that's how many. Yet your Main Stream Media isn't saying a thing about it.

No one in their right mind is going to start shooting when law abiding citizens have the right to open carry a weapon and defend them-self and others.

Yet the Liberals think the big bad guns are the problem. Well, give everyone the right to carry and defend them-self and criminals will just never know who's going to blow them away out of nowhere.

Law Enforcement cannot do it alone. Law Enforcement can't be everywhere at all times.

Republican Platform: The Constitution Gives Federal Government ‘No Role in Education’

The official 2016 platform of the Republican Party asserts that since the Constitution gives the federal government “no role in education,” it should not join with “centralizing forces” that have attempted to reform education and have subsequently done “immense damage.”

The platform affirms the primary role of parents as educators in a child’s life, and supports a constitutional amendment to protect the right of parents to direct their children’s education from the overreach of federal and state governments and from potential international intruders such as the United Nations. It also upholds “parent-driven accountability at every stage of schooling,” and recognizes the value of local control of education.

We reject a one- size-fits-all approach to education and support a broad range of choices for parents and children at the state and local level,” states the GOP platform. “We likewise repeat our long-standing opposition to the imposition of national standards and assessments, encourage the parents and educators who are implementing alternatives to Common Core, and congratulate the states which have successfully repealed it.

Four-Way Stop Placed At Busy West OC Intersection

WEST OCEAN CITY – Motorists traveling near the commercial harbor in West Ocean City will notice a new four-way stop at the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Golf Course Road.

The Worcester County Commissioners agreed this week to have stop signs added to Golf Course Road at the intersection so that it is now an all-way stop. Commissioner Bud Church, who represents that district, said he was eager to see the change take place.

“There have been several very serious accidents at that intersection,” he said.

The vote to install the four-way stop came after a presentation from John Tustin, the county’s public works director, at Tuesday’s meeting of the county commissioners. Tustin said that generally, multi-way stops were used when the volume of traffic on all of the approaches to an intersection were equal. According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, before a four-way stop is installed there should be an average of 300 vehicles per hour on the major street (Golf Course Road) and at least 200 vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles per hour on the minor street (Sunset Avenue).

Tustin said under those guidelines, the intersection qualified for a four-way stop.

He may well be right, but after eight years of misery, staying home is not an option.

Life is about making choices — many easy, many hard, some gratifying, others agonizing. Faced with breast cancer, I made painful choices regarding my treatment. I didn’t like mastectomy, lumpectomy, radiation, chemotherapy, or any combination thereof, but I had to choose. Not to choose was certain death.

Cop to Flag-Burning RNC Protester: ‘You’re on Fire, Stupid’ (UPDATE: There’s Video)

As the most turbulent protest since the four-day convention began on Monday got underway, chaos briefly prevented delegates and members of the media from getting into the Quicken Loans Arena for the evening’s proceedings.

At one point in the protest, which took place just outside an entrance to the arena and near a row of popular restaurants where cable news networks had set up for the week, a flag-burning demonstration began, which, according to the Cleveland Police Department, culminated with a man setting a flag on fire, then setting himself on fire before firefighters extinguished the flames.

Obama rule making it easier for students to bail on loans draws taxpayer fire

If that Ivy League philosophy degree doesn’t result in the career of your dreams, cheer up: You may be able to have your student loans forgiven by claiming you were misled by the university.

A broadly written rule proposed by the Education Department would allow students to discharge their federal loan debt if they can show that they were “defrauded or deceived” by a university’s “substantial misrepresentation,” an added layer of regulation that could leave universities and taxpayers on the hook for billions of dollars.

“We do not need another federal bailout,” American Commitment President Phil Kerpen said in a statement Wednesday.

His group is leading a coalition of 18 taxpayers groups calling on Education Secretary John King to withdraw the rule, which was published June 16 in the Federal Register and wraps up its comment period on Aug. 1.

Hunting Question

Thinking ahead to this year's deer hunting season.....I have a question:

"If I shoot a buck, but I only have a doe tag, can I claim that the buck wasn't really a buck?"

I mean … maybe he'd always wanted to be a doe, but with no choice of his own he was born with the physical attributes of a male.

And yet … on the inside he'd always known he was truly a female.

I'm just wondering if the game warden will buy that crap since society and the Supreme Court does.

Clinton Foundation Ignores Commonly-Held Best Practices

Clinton Foundation officials have ignored virtually all of the “best practices” urged by good governance organizations for public charities, according to an investigation by The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Most glaringly, for example, the foundation’s insular board of directors is unusually small, ranging from only two to no more than five members, all of whom are among President Bill and Hillary Clinton’s closest and richest friends.

The “good governance” movement in the nonprofit field has been gathering strength for two decades, but it clearly has yet to reach the Clinton Foundation. Most foundation boards have on average 15 members, according to a 2015 survey by Boardsource, a national organization working to strengthen nonprofit board leadership.

Good governance groups also encourage well-managed non-profits to create dedicated oversight committees for audits, donations, governance, executive compensation and whistleblower policy. The Clinton Foundation has none of those committees, according to its Internal Revenue Service 990 tax filings.

The Independent Sector, a non-partisan good governance organization for nonprofits and foundations urge the creation of independent boards and said they should be in the majority.

“A substantial majority of the board of a public charity, usually meaning at least two-thirds of its members, should be independent,” the group recommended.

That is not the case with the Clinton Foundation. The board consists of Bill Clinton’s tightest inner circle, including Democratic mega-fundraiser and now Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, former Arkansas Democratic Sen. David Pryor and the senator’s former aide, J.L. “Skip” Rutherford.

McAuliffe was the top fundraiser for Bill and HIllary’s Clinton’s presidential campaigns. He also put up $1.35 million of his own cash to pay for the Clinton’s first 11-room mansion in Chappaqua, New York.

The gift infuriated liberal activist Fred Wertheimer who at the time said, “It’s just plain wrong. It’s dangerous. It’s inappropriate,” adding, “This is a financial favor worth over a million dollars to the president.”

Charles Ortel, a Wall Street analyst and twice a trustee of public foundations argued the gift should have been disclosed in the foundation’s tax returns.

“Terry McAuliffe made it possible for the Clinton’s to buy their house in Chappaqua. That’s a significant financial relationship that should have been disclosed in the 990’s (tax return) and was not. And has never been corrected,” he said in an interview.

“It has been a very difficult time,” said Sue Rantz, the county’s chief animal control officer. “We have had people calling, voice messages have been left. They’ve threatened our lives, our homes … We have been condemned for everything we have done.”

Last week, the national group Alley Cat Allies launched a campaign to save the life of Oliver, a cat captured by animal control at Ocean Village, a townhouse community in West Ocean City. Oliver was trapped and removed from the community after a cat from the same colony tested positive for rabies in June.

Hillary’s war on Medicare is big trouble for seniors

Hillary is taking a sledgehammer to Medicare. In a move calculated to fire up the extreme left wing of the Democratic Party, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton pledges to open Medicare to people 55 to 64, and to make a “public option” insurance plan for all ages.

The 65-and-overs are already having a hard time finding a doctor willing to accept Medicare’s stingy payments. Hillary’s proposals will suddenly invite in millions more patients competing for the same doctors. Seniors, brace yourselves for long waits to see a doctor.

Medicare is stretched so thin to meet the needs of today’s seniors that expanding enrollment is like inviting the neighborhood for dinner when you don’t have enough food to feed your own kids.

Over a fifth of doctors currently are turning away new Medicare patients, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey. Hillary’s scheme would add a massive segment of the population to Medicare’s ranks. It’s likely 10 million new people would sign up — a sudden 20 percent increase in patients knocking on doctors’ doors for appointments.

A public option would compound the problem. A public option is a government-run insurance plan. It would be offered alongside established commercial plans like Cigna, WellCare and Humana but it would pay doctors and hospitals at Medicare-like rates.

President Obama claims it will “deliver care more cost-effectively.”

Trump Confronts Ted Cruz as Cruz Gets Booed for Not Endorsing Trump

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ted Cruz was booed during his speech Wednesday night for not endorsing Donald Trump. Then an historic confrontation occurred on the convention floor.

The crowd chanted “endorse Trump” as Cruz went through his prepared remarks without explictly endorsing Trump.

“I appreciate the enthusiasm of the New York delegation” Cruz said of the first delegates to boo. Then Cruz went into a story about his parents as the chants continued for an endorsement.

Boos and commotion could be heard on the floor for about the last ten minutes of Cruz’s speech.

“Endorse Trump! Endorse Trump!” and “We Want Trump” could be heard as Cruz wrapped up.

LISTEN: Stephen K. Bannon’s Epic ‘Clinton Cash’ Rant - Bill and Hillary ‘Two Biggest Grifters to Ever Run for President'

On Wednesday, Breitbart News Executive Chairman and SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon spoke with author Peter Schweizer about the release of their movie project based on Schweizer’s best-sellingClinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich.

Actually, Bannon did most of the talking, in an epic rant he humorously described as “Going Off the Rails,” beginning with an invitation for the Clintons to sue him for speaking frankly about their corruption because he would “love to do discovery on you collection of scumbags.”

Bannon said the Clintons were “the biggest set of grifters” ever to run for the White House.

He also said the audience at Tuesday’s screening of the Clinton Cash movie was “25 percent Democrats,” and “their heads blew up.”

“These are principally Bernie Sanders folks,” said Bannon. “They are decent, hard-working people, but a lot of them are socialists. A lot of them are with these NGOs, but they’re decent, hard-working people.” Bannon added:

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “New Day,” journalist, author, and CNN Commentator Carl Bernstein stated that the 2016 presidential election “election is really the Gettysburg of the culture wars of the last 30 years, and “presumptive Democratic presidential nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email conduct “is indefensible. It was reckless. She has lied about it.”

Bernstein said, “[T]his election is really the Gettysburg of the culture wars of the last 30 years, and whoever wins this election, the culture wars are going to move, or be decided in a definitive way.”

Fancypants College In Cleveland Offers SAFE SPACE For Students Traumatized By Republican Convention

Case Western Reserve University is providing a “safe space” for students who are upset about this week’s Republican National Convention.

The fancypants private school in Cleveland — where tuition, fees and room and board cost $60,304 per year — is located just over 4 miles from Quicken Loans Arena, where the GOP convention is occurring.

A July 11 statement in The Daily, Case Western’s internal e-newsletter, informs students — and professors, and administrators — that the private school’s Social Justice Institute “will host a ‘safe space'” in the basement of concrete-laden Crawford Hall for the duration of the convention, which runs from July 18 to July 21.

“After extensive consultation among our leadership team and discussions in last week’s open forums, we have decided that the university will reduce its on-campus operations significantly from Monday, July 18, through the close of the convention Thursday, July 21,” the statement explains.

Classes have been either cancelled or moved off campus. Faculty members, students and most staffers are supposed to take virtually the entire week off. “Deans and unit leaders have been asked to work with their teams to determine how to maintain essential services with the fewest number of staff physically on the campus.”

“University Counseling Services will continue to offer walk-in services for students who want to talk with someone about their concerns related to recent events and/or the upcoming convention,” the Case Western statement says.

FBI exoneration of Hillary Clinton raises disturbing questions

What if the folks who run the Department of Political Justice recently were told that the republic would suffer ifHillary Clinton were indicted for espionage because Donald Trump might succeed Barack Obama in the presidency? What if espionage is the failure to safeguard state secrets and the evidence that Mrs. Clinton failed to safeguard them is unambiguous and overwhelming?

What if President Obama never really liked his former rival whom he appointed as his secretary of state? What if he had no real interest in seeing her succeed him because he and his wife simply could never trust her?

What if, when Mrs. Clinton suggested to the president that the United States wage a secret, undeclared war against Libya, the president went along with it as a no-lose proposition? What if he assumed that if her secret war succeeded he’d get the credit, and if her secret war failed she would get the blame?

Marilyn Mosby: Insanity Defined

Many believe the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. For them, we might consider including an image with the definition — the image of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

Mosby, and her obedient if misguided courtroom prosecutors, are now not just zero for four in their efforts to convict Baltimore police officers in the death of Freddie Gray. They are zero for 22, since not a single charge faced by the officers as they approached trial has held water.

While the national news is now hotly focused on the Republican National Convention and on the painful assassination of eight police officers in Dallas and Baton Rouge, the Freddie Gray case seems like yesterday’s news — a tiny article in the regional or state section of any major publication. The convulsive violence, arson, and attacks on police that followed Gray’s in-custody injury and subsequent death has receded to almost footnote status while six experienced Baltimore cops have fought mightily for their names and futures.

This week dealt the fourth stinging defeat for the politically and ego-driven Mosby and we’re again wondering what, if anything, has she learned this time.

The words of Judge Barry G. Williams, an African American who formerly worked in the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, must be ringing in the ears of the failed State’s Attorney and her embarrassed prosecutors, his opinion sounding more like a law school lecture on evidence than a judgment in a high-profile police misconduct case. He intoned that the state had repeatedly and consistently failed to meet their burden of proving charges beyond a reasonable doubt, instead asking the court to rely on “presumptions or assumptions.”

Ben Carson: Hillary Worships Lucifer! RNC Speech

Austin Police chief ‘sickened, saddened’ by violent arrest

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Chief of Police Art Acevedo says newly released dash camera video of how an officer conducted a traffic stop with a black woman will not be tolerated by the department, and he is making a public apology to the victim.

Austin police say the traffic stop happened on June 15, 2015. In the video, an Austin Police Department officer is seen conducting a traffic stop on East Riverside Drive near Burton Drive. The officer’s lights and siren were on when he pulled over 26-year-old Breaion King.

As the cars come to a stop in a parking lot, King steps out of her car as Officer Bryan Richter approaches her. As he asks her to get back into the car, the two continue speaking. King is sitting in the driver’s seat when the officer asks King to put her feet inside the car and from there the situation escalates.

Please resist the temptation to turn on the spigot for the wild horses

Assateague Island National Seashore
As the days on Assateague heat up, it’s important to remember to stay hydrated. You might think that the same thing goes for the wild horses especially after seeing them roaming around the parking lot or galloping full speed down the beach in the hot sun. But before you reach to open the water spigot for them, it’s important to remember that the horses have plenty of drinking water available on the island in the form of freshwater and brackish ponds, and that turning the water on for them can be problematic.

In a situation where the water spigot is left on, a wild horse can become aggressive toward other wild horses or people that approach the spout because it wants to protect the water for itself. Likewise, if a wild horse is near the spigot and the water is not turned on, it could become aggressive toward people if it does not receive water. This makes it dangerous for visitors trying to use the showers or restrooms in the vicinity of the wild horses.

Please resist the temptation to turn on the spigot for the wild horses. They were on the island for over 300 years before we showed up with plumbing!

Richard Viguerie: ‘Ted Cruz Committed Political Suicide on National TV’

Movement conservative leader Richard Viguerie, a long-time supporter of Ted Cruz, equated the Texas Senator’s refusal to honor his pledge to support the Republican nominee Donald Trump to a “political suicide.”

In an article titled “Ted Cruz Committed Political Suicide On National TV,” Viguerie wrote at his ConservativeHQ website:

The much anticipated speech Ted Cruz delivered to the Republican National Convention last night was a soaring anthem to liberty that lacked but one thing to make it, and Ted Cruz, great; an endorsement of the Trump – Pence ticket.

Ailes is out as Fox News head, Murdoch named acting chief

NEW YORK (AP) — Roger Ailes is out as chief executive at Fox News Channel, his career at the network he built from scratch and ran with an iron hand for nearly 20 years over with stunning swiftness following allegations that he forced out a former anchor after she spurned his sexual advances.

Network parent 21st Century Fox said Thursday that Rupert Murdoch, the company’s executive chairman, would run Fox News and its sister Fox Business Network, which Ailes had also led, until a successor could be found.

Murdoch and 21st Century Fox did not address the widening scandal in the statement on the resignation but lauded Ailes for his contributions. Ailes did not comment in the resignation announcement.

Two DNC Delegates Replaced Because of Their Gender

The Democratic National Committee gave inadequate due process when it replaced two male delegates with women “in the name of gender balance,” according to a formal complaint.

Twenty-one Democrats from Vermont filed the complaint with the DNC credentials committee on behalf of the two delegates who lost their spot, saying the delegates were elected by the public just over a month ago.

The complaint “says the national party this month ordered the state party to replace Vermont Sen. Tim Ashe and party stalwart Ken Dean although Dean and Ashe were elected June 11,” the Associated Press reported on Thursday.

The two males were replaced by female counterparts, all of whom “support Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) over presumptive presidential nominee Hillary Clinton,” the AP noted.

Watchdog: HUD's Castro violated federal law by touting Clinton in interview

Housing Secretary and potential Democratic vice-presidential prospect Julian Castro violated federal law when he touted Hillary Clinton's candidacy in a media interview earlier this year, according to a federal watchdog report released Monday.

The seven-page report by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel concluded Castro violated the Hatch Act, which bars most Executive Branch officials from expressing their political views while on official business. According to the report, he crossed the line during an April 4 interview that mostly was about HUD’s plans to increase Internet access to children and other agency-related issues.

Castro, though, responded to a question during the Yahoo News interview about Clinton’s presidential bid.

“Taking off my HUD hat for a second and speaking individually,” Castro said, while going on to call Clinton the most experienced 2016 candidate and criticizing Republicans. BuzzFeed News first reported on the OSC findings.

“Castro’s statements during the interview impermissibly mixed his personal political views with official agency business, despite his efforts to clarify that some answers were being given in his personal capacity,” states the OSC report, which will now be referred to President Obama, who will decide on what if any action to take.

America Has Become A "Parasitocracy"

Dread and Denial

So, let’s return to the discussion you can’t have with your congressman, your mailman, or your barmaid. It’s the important one. It concerns what the Fed is really up to.

Eight years after achieving independence, a State modeled after the British merchant state was established in the US. It took a while for the Deep State to consolidate itself within it, a process that was accelerated greatly in the run-up to and aftermath of WW I.

We have been connecting dots… bringing new readers into the conversation and organizing our own thoughts. Already, you have met the zombies and the cronies… and you know that the government you learn about in school is not really the government you actually have.

Instead, we are ruled by a group of insiders we call the “Deep State” who pay little attention to the Constitution or the “will of the people.”

The term Deep State is not original to us. It was first coined to describe anti-democratic elements within the military, the intelligence services, the judiciary, and the mafia that controlled the real levers of power in Kemalist Turkey.

But it is being used more and more elsewhere, as people come to realize what is really going on in their own countries (today, we offer a neologism that is more descriptive).

Your first reaction to the Deep State is likely to be denial or dread. “It sounds impossible,” you might say. “How come I haven’t heard of this?” Or: “How can we put a stop to this conspiracy?” Relax…

There’s nothing underhanded about it; most of it takes place in plain sight. The reason you haven’t heard about the Deep State is another important dot we need to connect. To wit, there are facts. And there are myths, delusions, guesses, and opinions.
