Towson mall begins enforcing curfew for unaccompanied minors

A new policy aimed at promoting a more "family friendly" atmosphere at Towson Town Center by banning unaccompanied minors after 5 p.m got off to a mostly seamless start Friday evening.

Many people seemed to have heard about the policy, and groups of teens who normally spend their weekend nights hanging out at the mall headed to the exits as the 5 o'clock hour approached, with only a bit of grousing.

On her way out, one Notre Dame Prep student said: "We're good."

Security was dispatched to let other teens know about the curfew, and officers, some with dogs, were stationed at 19 entrances and around the mall to check identification.

The liberal establishment’s Clinton obsession is blowing up in its face

Hey, Democrats, where were you? Hey liberals, where were you? The potential train wreck that is the Hillary Clinton candidacy didn’t just become evident last week when ill-chosen words about 25 million “deplorables” and a public near-collapsetanked her polls to make this a tied presidential race.

No, Democrats and liberals, the possibility of Hillary crashing and burning was there from the outset of her candidacy. And yet you stood there and let it happen.

You Democrats and liberals who did not “feel the Bern” but desperately wanted a Democratic president to succeed Barack Obama — you did nothing to prevent the potential cataclysm that is upon you now. Instead, you’ve spent more than a year chortling at Republican failings, expressing disgust at the rise of Donald Trump and convincing yourselves that your ideological tendency is on the cusp of multigenerational rule in the United States.

And in the process, you failed to do your due diligence on your own candidate — which means you failed as a party, you failed as a movement and you failed as citizens.

Pa. school cafeteria worker quits after having to take hot lunch away from student

CANONSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A public school cafeteria worker has quit over what she considers a "lunch shaming" policy in a Pennsylvania school district.

Stacy Kotiska says she quit last week after she had to take a hot lunch away from an elementary school student because the child's parent had fallen more than $25 behind in paying for his school lunches.

The Canon-McMillan School District enacted the policy to deal with a backlog of about 300 parents who owed tens of thousands of dollars. Now fewer than 70 parents owe money, and the district says the policy isn't meant to shame students.

Why The EU Is Doomed

We are accustomed to looking at Europe’s woes in a purely financial context. This is a mistake, because it misses the real reasons why the EU will fail and not survive the next financial crisis. We normally survive financial crises, thanks to the successful actions of central banks as lenders of last resort. However, the origins and construction of both the the euro and the EU itself could ensure the next financial crisis commences in the coming months, and will exceed the capabilities of the ECB to save the system.

It should be remembered that the European Union was originally a creation of US post-war foreign policy. The priority was to ensure there was a buffer against the march of Soviet communism, and to that end three elements of the policy towards Europe were established. First, there was the Marshall Plan, which from 1948 provided funds to help rebuild Europe’s infrastructure. This was followed by the establishment of NATO in 1949, which ensured American and British troops had permanent bases in Germany. And lastly, a CIA sponsored organisation, the American Committee on United Europe was established to covertly promote European political union.

It was therefore in no way a natural European development. But in the post-war years the concept of political union, initially the European Coal and Steel Community, became fact in the Treaty of Paris in 1951 with six founding members: France, West Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy. The ECSC evolved into the EU of today, with an additional twenty-one member states, not including the UK which has now decided to leave.

Fight Breaks Out After Cowboy-Redskin Game

Video surfaced Tuesday of a fight that broke out following Sunday’s Cowboys-Redskins game at FedEx Field in Maryland.

According to Barstool, the fight “is the result of when Cowboys fans from [Prince George] County [MD] who have never been within 100 miles of Dallas get to celebrate a win.”

The video opens with a woman wearing Redskins shirt stumbling into the frame.

One man stops her from falling into a car, when a second man — our story’s feminist protagonist — appears to strike her in the face, shoving her to the ground.

Want to understand Hillary Clinton? Read Saul Alinsky

When Ben Carson, in his speech at the Republican National Convention, drew attention to Hillary Clinton's tribute to the radical community organizer Saul Alinsky (1909-72), no eyebrows ascended. But when Carson went on to invoke Alinsky's admiration of Lucifer, and tie Clinton to that community organizer, the guffaws began in earnest.

"So are we willing," Carson asked, "to elect someone as president who has as their role model somebody who acknowledges Lucifer?"

Anyone who has actually read Alinsky, I believe, would have to take the question seriously. Alinsky's most famous book, the 1971 Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals, includes a dedication to "the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer."

State, federal officials work to combat heroin epidemic

BALTIMORE —This week is Prescription Opioid and Heroin Epidemic Awareness Week.

President Obama declared that this week would be dedicated to educating people and helping them find treatment and recovery services from addiction.

Drug experts point out that heroin is cheap, accessible and addictive.

Heroin and opioid-related abuse has become a deadly issue, not just for Maryland, but the entire country.

Hillary Clinton gaffes imperil Americans

Hillary Clinton demonstrates the peril in running a mouth

The moving finger — the one that having writ moved on and can’t recall a single line (per Omar Khayyam’s famous poem) — is the enemy of all of us, and never more than to somebody called on to write or say something in public. We’ve even confiscated a word for it, “gaffe.” A gaffe is not usually a mistake but what happens when someone blurts out an inconvenient truth.

And not just for politicians. The moving finger pursues the ignoramus elsewhere, too, even an educationist intimidated by political correction run amok.

Only this week in the small Michigan town of Forest Hills, the public-school superintendent, one Daniel Behm, banned the display of the so-called Betsy Ross flag, the 11-star banner that Mzz Ross designed for George Washington. He imagines it’s an object of hate because it was a white man’s flag.

Priebus: RNC could block Kasich, Bush from running again

Ohio Gov. John Kasich and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush could be barred from seeking the Republican Party's presidential nomination in the future if they refuse to get on board with Donald Trump, party chairman Reince Priebus said Sunday.

"I think people need to get outside this Beltway and get on the road," Priebus said in an interview with CBS host John Dickerson. "This is probably one of the biggest movements as far as people across this country in modern history.

"Where we're at with the voters, one of the last polls I saw ... Republicans, I think it was about 91, 92 percent, we need to do a couple of percentage points better than we're doing as we move forward. Look, people who agreed to support the nominee, who took part in our process, they used tools from the RNC. They agreed to support the nominee. They took part in our process," Priebus said.

Virginia governor spotted with Willie Nelson _ and his weed

BRISTOW, Va. (AP) — Posing for pictures is part of every governor’s job. Posing with a can of marijuana — not so much.

But Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe did just that, inadvertently, when he went to greet country music legend Willie Nelson this weekend.

A picture posted on Twitter shows McAuliffe and Nelson, who was performing in Virginia. On the table between them is a can of Willie’s Reserve, Nelson’s brand of marijuana that’s sold in Colorado and Washington. Marijuana possession is illegal in Virginia.

BREAKING: No charges filed against officers in Korry Gaines' death

BALTIMORE —No criminal charges will be filed against the officers involved in the shooting that killed Korryn Gaines and injured her 5-year-old son during a standoff with police in Baltimore County, according to attorneys involved with case.

A statement from The Gordon Law Group said attorneys with their office and The Law Office of Jimmy M. Bell will meet with Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger Wednesday, "for him to advise the family that he completed his monitoring of the police investigation into the killing of Korryn Gaines and will not be filling criminal charges against any of the officers involved."

Attorneys are expected to meet Wednesday and hold a news conference in the afternoon to discuss the details, the statement said.

Leading Black Conservative: Dems Cry ‘Racism’ To Keep Black Americans ‘Brainwashed’

The Congressional Black Caucus Annual Legislative Conference ended Sunday, and Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, a former Democrat who grew up on an Alabama plantation, named the Congressional Black Caucus one of many “race hustlers” that work to “keep black Americans angry and demoralized for power and wealth to themselves.”

“They keep them in a state of anger and confusion so they can use them for their personal gain,” Peterson said. Other named “race hustlers” are President Barack Obama, the NAACP, many black preachers, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan and more.

Pharmaceutical firms gave more than $500K to Delaware legislators, parties

DOVER — As the number of overdose deaths from prescription painkillers has soared in recent years, pharmaceutical companies that manufacture opioid painkillers, and allied advocacy groups, have donated more than $500,000 to state and federal elected officials and major political parties in Delaware.

But Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health Director Michael Barbieri, a former lawmaker who received industry donations himself, doesn’t think drug companies are impeding efforts to address opioid abuse in Delaware.

A joint investigation by The Associated Press and the Center for Public Integrity found that drug companies and allied groups spent more than $880 million nationwide between 2006 through 2015 on campaign contributions and lobbying expenses at the state and federal levels.

Clinton Foundation Spent $7.8 Million On Travel

The Clinton Foundation spent significantly more money on travel costs than it did on charitable grants in 2014, the organization’s tax filings show.

The foundation spent $7.8 million on travel in 2014, while spending less than $5.2 million on charitable grants over the same time span, according to the foundation’s 2014 IRS filings.

More than $6 million of the $7.8 million spent on travel was marked as “Program service expenses.”

Approximately $566,000 of the travel money was marked as “Management and general expenses.” The remaining almost $1.3 million spent on travel was marked as “Fundraising expenses.”

Feds’ psychology tricks fail miserably on global warming

Government program still can't get people to 'draw correct inferences'

President Obama’s executive order to federal agencies to integrate into their policies and programs “behavioral-science insights” about how people make decisions and act on them has had little effect on how Americans think about “climate change,” the government-approved theory that mankind is causing irreparable damage to the planet.

That’s according to the Social and Behavioral Sciences Team in the executive office of the president, part of the National and Science Technology Council.

It recently released its annual report describing how it worked in eight “policy areas.”

The work included “promoting retirement security, advancing economic opportunity, improving college access and affordability, responding to climate change, supporting criminal-justice reform, assisting job seekers, helping families get health coverage and stay healthy, and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of federal government operations.”

FBI Lies Again: NYC Bomber Was On FBI "Radar" After All

During a press conference yesterday morning, amid desperate efforts to placate political pressure to maintain the narrative of a lone-wolf bomber - not terrorist - who may have "had a beef" and just happened to be a muslim, William Sweeney, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's New York division, stated unequivocally:

"There is no indication that the suspect was on the FBI's terror radar" adding that there was "no indication that there's a [terrorist] cell operating" in the New York area and had no information about Ahmad Khan Rahami's "path to radicalization."

Phew - so we can rest assured that all the money spent on systems and surveillance was not wasted and this was perhaps just some mentally unstable man (who just happened to be Muslim and taken a trip or two to Afghanistan).

More than 800 immigrants mistakenly granted citizenship

WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. government has mistakenly granted citizenship to at least 858 immigrants from countries of concern to national security or with high rates of immigration fraud who had pending deportation orders, according to an internal Homeland Security audit released Monday.

The Homeland Security Department's inspector general found that the immigrants used different names or birthdates to apply for citizenship with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and such discrepancies weren't caught because their fingerprints were missing from government databases.

DHS said in an emailed statement that an initial review of these cases suggest that some of the individuals may have ultimately qualified for citizenship, and that the lack of digital fingerprint records does not necessarily mean they committed fraud.

Obama years in 9 charts - Impressive!

Thought you might like to see what the years of Obama and Hillary have done to our country.

These charts came from the Federal Reserve Bank in St. Louis.
Obama years in 9 charts
Here is the real story of America 's decline right from their own Fed web sites.
Obama’s Recovery In Just 9 Charts

Hillary’s Sicko Relationship

As a U.S. senator, Hillary Clinton helped arrange for $1.65 billion in low-interest, federally guaranteed “Liberty Bonds” (supposedly earmarked for post-9/11 rebuilding in New York City) to subsidize the construction of Goldman Sachs’ gleaming new headquarters building in Lower Manhattan. During the 2005 groundbreaking ceremony for the project, she affectionately called the firm her “partner in government.” Three years later she supported the $10 billion Federal Reserve bailout of her too-big-to-jail “partner.” In return, Goldman paid her at least $675,000 for three speeches; has donated huge sums to her campaign; and recently prohibited its employees from donating anything to the Trump campaign. Her son-in-law was handed a hedge fund to manage by the CEO of Goldman Sachs (and reportedly lost 90% of the fund’s value).

So it was no surprise that Hillary feigned great offense at Donald Trump’s recent criticism of the Federal Reserve Board’s policy of “easy money” that pushes interest rates close to zero. “You should not be commenting on Fed actions when you are either running for president or you are president,” she indignantly declared.

Vindicating the Pit Bull

Review: Bronwen Dickey, 'Pit Bull: The Battle over an American Icon'

Some years ago, I found myself sitting with three friends outside a bar near a mountain in Phoenix, Arizona. As we surveyed the foot traffic to the desert hills, we saw a surprising number of people with pit bulls. Perhaps motivated by the amount of beer consumed, one of my friends announced that he was going to purchase a pit bull. Another turned to him: “That’s terrible. Those dogs will kill you.” The third chimed in: “What? Those dogs just want to cuddle—they’re over-sized lap dogs.” Neither deterred him in his task, and he recently reported to me that both of our compatriots were wrong that day. Pit bulls are neither killers nor cuddlers.

Polarized opinions about pit bulls have created “the pit bull wars,” a public battle over the temperament, breeding history, and place in society of pit bulls. In Pit Bull: The Battle Over an American Icon, Bronwen Dickey says that the castigation of pit bulls began in the 1970s and reached fever pitch in the 1980s. Pit bulls gained a reputation as aggressive fighting dogs and guard dogs during the “crack epidemic” of the 1980s. This reputation was largely baseless, but it was very public. Throughout the 1990s, many local governments enforced breed-specific bans on pit bulls because of the story that the dogs had been bred for one purpose only: to fight “in the pit.”

Obama Appointee: Union Strikers Can Insult Anyone Except Women and Minorities

“‘Boys will be boys’ should be forbidden on the picket line”

Federal labor law has long tolerated rough words in picket lines, but a federal judge once considered a prospective Obama Supreme Court appointee is asking regulators to crack down on “racial and misogynistic epithets.”

A three-judge panel at the Washington, D.C., Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously upheld a National Labor Relations Board ruling that a telecommunications company violated the rights of several striking workers whom it suspended during a 2012 strike, while reversing the board regarding the appeal of a fired worker, who intentionally drove slowly and boxed in her non-striking co-workers.

VA Spends Billions Annually Without Proper Oversight

Audit: Agency’s multi-billion-dollar procurement program operates on ‘outdated’ policies

The Department of Veterans Affairs spends billions of dollars annually on contracts for goods and services without proper oversight and management, according to a government watchdog.

The VA spent roughly $20 billion during fiscal 2015—over a quarter of the agency’s discretionary budget—to procure goods and services for veterans’ health care, and at least $46 billion over a three-year period, according to a new audit by the Government Accountability Office that faults the agency for managing contracts using “outdated and fragmented” policies.

The audit is the latest evidence of mismanagement at the federal agency, which has been widely scrutinized since the secret wait list controversy at government-run hospitals more than two years ago.

The VA spends billions each year on contracts for a wide range of goods and services that include construction, information technology, medical services, and medical supplies.

Volvo Group Trucks Plant to Lay Off 143 Hagerstown Workers

HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Officials say the Volvo Group is laying off 143 people at its truck manufacturing plant in Hagerstown.

Company spokesman John Mies told news outlets in a statement Friday that the layoff will be effective Monday, and is in addition to 138 workers who were laid off during the first quarter of the year.

The group says that 2015 was the second best year ever for the company, in terms of demand for heavy-duty trucks, with over 300,000 vehicles sold. The projected demand for this year has dropped and will be about 240,000.

Mies says about 1,500 people work at the powertrain-manufacturing facility. He says the layoffs at Volvo will be in production positions.

Obama Admin ‘Laundered’ U.S. Cash to Iran Via N.Y. Fed, Euro Banks

Congressman: ‘Administration laundered this money in order to circumvent U.S. law’

A member of the House Intelligence Committee is accusing the Obama administration of laundering some $1.7 billion in U.S. taxpayer dollars to Iran through a complicated network that included the New York Federal Reserve and several European banks, according to conversations with sources and new information obtained by the lawmaker and viewed by the Washington Free Beacon.

New disclosures made by the Treasury Department to Rep. Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.), a House Intelligence Committee member, show that an initial $400 million cash payment to Iran was wired to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) and then converted from U.S. dollars into Swiss francs and moved to an account at the Swiss National Bank, according to a copy of communication obtained exclusively by the Free Beacon.

Once the money was transferred to the Swiss Bank, the “FRBNY withdrew the funds from its account as Swiss franc banknotes and the U.S. Government physically transported them to Geneva” before personally overseeing the handover to an agent of Iran’s central bank, according to the documents.

Survey: Trump tops Clinton in trustworthiness

Voters view Hillary Clinton as more qualified for the presidency, according to the results of a Fox News survey released Sunday, but they have more trust in Donald Trump.

The survey found a total of 61 percent view Clinton as qualified, compared to 45 percent who feel the same way about Trump. Just 34 percent believe Clinton is trustworthy, while 39 percent trust in Trump.

On a range of other questions, the poll found voters split between the candidates. Slightly less than half believed either candidate was in touch with them, with 45 percent saying as much of Clinton and 44 percent for Trump. Another 47 percent said they were "tired of Clintons," while 42 percent said they supported the ongoing Clinton legacy.

The survey found respondents have even less faith in government. Eight percent said they had a "great deal" of faith in the federal government, compared to 18 percent who had "none at all."

Journalist: Sidney Blumenthal Raised Obama Birther Issue in 2008

The former Washington bureau chief of McClatchy Co. claimed on Twitter Friday that longtime Hillary Clinton confidante Sidney Blumenthal raised the issue of President Barack Obama's birthplace with him in 2008.

Asher is now the Washington editor for Injustice Watch, an investigative nonprofit organization.

Here is his post, which was first reported by Mediaite:

#CNN says #Hillary team in 2008 never raised #Obama's birth in #Kenya. Who is closer to #HRC than #SidBlumenthal, who told me face-to-face.
— James Asher (@jimasher) September 16, 2016

Republican Donald Trump declared Friday that "President Barack Obama was born in the United States, period" — and blamed the Clinton camp for raising the issue during the 2008 campaign.

Wisconsin Woman and Son Accused of Stealing $3 Million in Food Stamps

A Wisconsin woman and her son are accused of stealing $3 million in food stamps benefits from the federal government, according to court records.

Both Elham M. “Brenda” Abdul Rahim and Ahmad Zaki Abdul Rahim were indicted on a count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported, which carries a sentence of as many as 20 years in prison.

Elham Rahim was also indicted on counts of fraud and unauthorized use of food stamps, while Ahmad Rahim was indicted on a count of lying to investigators from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Ahmad Rahim told The Journal Sentinel that he did not commit fraud and did not know that he and his mother were indicted. He said his father, who is now dead, used to run the store they owned and that he did not know how his father ran the establishment.

“The Rahims used the store to exchange Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program cards for cash,” the indictment said.

The indictment also charged that they would swipe a SNAP debit card for a certain amount, give half the amount to the recipients, and keep the rest.

Dear FBI, This Is Intent: Hillary's "Oh Shit" Guy Sought Reddit Advice On How To "Strip VIP's Emails"

At this point, our readers should be intimately familiar with the timeline leading up to the "Oh Shit" moment when the Platte River Networks employee, Paul Combetta, deleted Hillary's emails despite later admitting to the FBI that he "was aware of the existence of the preservation request and the fact that it meant he should not disturb Clinton's e-mail data on the PRN server" (if not, see "The "Oh Shit" Moment: Hillary Wiped Her Server With BleachBit Despite Subpoena"). Once Combetta was summoned to testify in front of Congress, we also learned that the FBI had granted Combetta an immunity deal (see "The "Oh Shit" Guy That Wiped Hillary's Server With BleachBit Was Just Granted Immunity").

Well, the plot just continues to thicken around the "Oh Shit" guy as a political researcher just posted the following tweet that exposes a Reddit thread from July 2014 in which Combetta sought tech advice on how to "strip out a VIP's (VERY VIP) email address from a bunch of archived emails."

Hillary’s Parkinson’s Symptoms

This video is a very good example of a low-budget presentation that is persuasive. It cost the producer time, not money.

At the time that I discovered it, it had received about 25,000 hits. Dr. Tom Woods subsequently found another posting of this video. It had 2.5 million hits.

The author stated his case, which is compelling. It is so compelling that the refusal of the mainstream media to consider its thesis indicates an intense bias in favor of her election. The media are suppressing the truth.

If the media were interested in refuting this, they would interview at least half a dozen neurologists who specialize in Parkinson’s. They would ask these specialists to comment on the video. They would then summarize their answers, pro and con. So far, the media have not done this.

Watch the video in order to get a good idea of what a person with a message can do with very simple digital editing tools.

Jeb joins Trump-bashing celebs at Emmys

'If you run a positive campaign, the voters will ultimately make the right choice'

After trying to hitch a ride to the Emmys with James Corden and the cast of “Modern Family” in the show’s opening skit, host Jimmy Kimmel wound up in a limo driven by former GOP presidential candidate Jeb Bush.

“Did you know you can make $12/hour driving for Uber?” Bush, wearing a chauffer’s cap, asked Kimmel.

Upon learning Kimmel was nominated for an Emmy, Bush the Uber driver gave him some advice.

CNN Falsely Edits Trump AGAIN

CNN falsely quoted Republican nominee Donald Trump during Monday evening’s broadcast.

“But Israel has done an unbelievable job and they’ll profile. They profile. They see somebody that’s suspicious, they will profile. They will take that person in,” Trump said on Fox News Monday.

CNN ran the quote under the header, “Trump says ‘racial profiling’ will stop terror,” but Trump never said the word “racial” in relation to profiling.

Trump later spoke to Bill O’Reilly on the topic, and didn’t use “racial” during that conversation either. Trump didn’t elaborate about what criteria investigators should use when they profile a potential terrorist.

“It works. If we see somebody that we think could be a problem at airports and other places you talk to them and you see what’s going on. We don’t do that. Not much,” Trump said.

SPD Press Release 9-20-16 (Pedestrian vs. Vehicle Hit and Run Investigation)

Cecil County State’s Attorney defense hinges on distance

SNOW HILL — The women who say they saw Cecil County State’s Attorney Ellis Rollins III nude on the balcony of his Ocean City hotel room in June were more than half a football field away and, therefore, must have made an effort to see him, according to court records filed in the case.

It was a contention that the county’s embattled top prosecutor made in his initial public defense in the high-profile case following the allegations, but a Whig review of filings made over the last few months shows that Rollins is prepared to double-down on that defense.

A motion filed by Rollins’ Ocean City-based attorney, Cullen M. Burke, asserts that Rollins was never on his balcony but, instead, was inside his 10th-floor hotel room when the alleged victims saw him from their 12th-floor room at an adjacent condominium building.

“During all instances of the alleged exposure, the defendant was in his lawfully rented and occupied hotel room. It is undisputed that the defendant was not located in a public place at the time of the alleged exposure,” Burke contends in the motion, which notes that the two incidents took place over a time period of about 36 hours.

Donald Trump Packs Arena, Hillary Draws 200

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump packed an Estero, Florida arena with thousands inside and more outside for a Monday rally.

The News-Press estimated the crowd at more than 8,000 people and the heat at over 90 degrees outside the arena where attendees stood before gaining entrance to the event.

Meanwhile Hillary Clinton spoke at Temple University the same day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was reportedly attended by less than 200 people. At the event targeted to millennial voters she acknowledged a need to court the youth vote, according to local NBC10 News. Clinton’s campaign launched “Pennsylvania Millennials for Hillary” aimed at showing support for boosting youth economic opportunities and dealing with college debt.

By way of further comparison, Hillary Clinton held a rally at the University of South Florida on September 6 that drew a 1,500 person crowd, according to the Tampa Bay Times, while a September 9 rally for Trump in Pensacola drew 12,000, according to WTSP10 News.Trump declared that those wanting to come to America must love the United States and Americans during his Monday afternoon rally near Fort Meyers.

Chanting broke out in the crowd in response to Trump: “U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.”

Mike Pompeo (R., Kan.), a House Intelligence Committee member, show that an initial $400 million cash payment to Iran was wired to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) and then converted from U.S. dollars into Swiss francs and moved to an account at the Swiss National Bank, according to a copy of communicationobtained exclusively by the Free Beacon.

Once the money was transferred to the Swiss Bank, the “FRBNY withdrew the funds from its account as Swiss franc banknotes and the U.S. Government physically transported them to Geneva” before personally overseeing the handover to an agent of Iran’s central bank, according to the documents.

Hero Off-Duty Cop Who Shot MN 'ISIS' Attacker Is Competition Shooter & NRA Concealed Carry Trainer

The off-duty cop who stopped the "potential" terrorist attack at a Minnesota mall on the same night as the New Jersey and New York terror bombings is a 2nd Amendment enthusiast, gun shop owner and NRA instructor.

Jason Falconer was carrying a weapon the night of the attack inside the Crossroads Center Mall, a mall which forbids people from bringing in "firearms or illegal weapons."

Avon Police Chief Corey Nellis told MPR News the fact that Falconer happened to be shopping there and carrying a weapon was nothing less than "divine intervention," adding:

"If I was going to ask anybody to fire live rounds in a crowded mall I would trust his abilities next to anybody's.

Clearly, he's a hero. He was the right person, at the right place, at the right time."

The attacker, dressed in a security guard outfit, was identified by Minnesota Somali community leaders as Dahir Adan.

‘Ransom’: Treasury Payments Dispute Obama’s Claim ‘We Could Not Wire The Money’

The Treasury Department on Saturday confirmed that it wire transferred at least two separate payments to Iran in the last fourteen months.

The admission raises significant new questions about President Obama’s claim that he sent $400 million in cash to Iran because the U.S. doesn’t have a banking relationship with Tehran.

The Obama administration delivered the $400 million in pallets of foreign currency flown aboard an unmarked jetliner in January. The cash was jetted in the same day five American hostages were released from Iranian custody.

Politico reported on Saturday:

The United States made at least two separate payments to the Iranian government via wire transfer within the last 14 months, a Treasury Department spokesman confirmed Saturday, contradicting explanations from President Barack Obama that such payments were impossible.

…But a Treasury Department spokesman acknowledged on Saturday that on at least two occasions, the U.S. did make payments to the Iranian government via wire transfer.

Hillary Clinton Seeks Two Additional Weeks to Respond to Email Questions

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that it has scheduled the deposition of the John Bentel, the State Department’s former Director of Information Resource Management of the Executive Secretariat (“S/ES-IRM”), the office that handles information technology for the Office of the Secretary.

The deposition ordered by U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan is scheduled for October 24 at 10am. Judicial Watch also announced that Judicial Watch and Hillary Clinton’s attorneys agreed that Hillary Clinton would have two additional weeks – until October 13 — to produce written, sworn answers under oath to pending Judicial Watch questions.

Judicial Watch requested Bentel’s deposition as part of a request for additional discovery into the Clinton email matter.

In U.S. District Court Judge Emmet G. Sullivan’s August 19, 2016, ruling granting the Judicial Watch’s request, the judge cited significant discrepancies in Bentel previous statements on the Clinton email system:

The Court is persuaded that Mr. Bentel should be deposed because the record in this case appears to contradict his sworn testimony before the [House Select] Benghazi Committee. . . . Specifically, Mr. Bentel testified that he was not aware that Secretary Clinton’s email account was housed on a private server until media reports in 2015. . . . However, several emails indicate Mr. Bentel knew about the private server as early as 2009.

Judge Sullivan also wrote that Bentel should be deposed because a May, 2016 Inspector General’s reportfound:

Mr. Bentel told employees in his office that Secretary Clinton’s email arrangement had been approved by the State Department’s legal staff and also instructed his subordinates not to discuss the Secretary’s email again..

Obamacare Enrollees Had Trouble Affording and Accessing Care

Obamacare enrollees had trouble affording and accessing health care as well as understanding how to use their plans, according to a report from the Government Accountability Office.

The top factors that Obamacare enrollees considered when selecting a plan in 2015 were the cost of premiums, deductibles, and copayments.

The auditors talked to stakeholders including policy experts, state departments of insurance, and exchange officials, and found that some Obamacare enrollees said the out-of-pocket expenses were too expensive before reaching their deductible.

“Two national surveys of QHP [qualified health plan] enrollees found that over a quarter of them had experienced financial difficulties paying for their out-of-pocket health care expenses in the prior year, with some enrollees reporting unmet health care needs due to cost,” the auditors said. “One national survey reported that in 2016, 25 percent of QHP enrollees reported higher-than-expected out-of-pocket costs after using their coverage.”

Liberal forces push for public option as insurers bail out of Obamacare

If Obamacare is in crisis, the Left isn't letting that crisis go to waste.

As insurers flee Obamacare marketplaces, Democrats and liberals are trying to revive a controversial solution they once had to abandon. That's the creation of a "public option" government-run healthcare plan, which would compete against private insurance plans sold in the new state marketplaces set up under the Affordable Care Act.

While a public option is a political non-starter among Republicans, who want to scale back government involvement in healthcare, Democrats increasingly see it as their solution to the dwindling choices available in the marketplaces.

Five senators, backed by a coalition led by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, introduced a resolution last week calling for a public option in every marketplace. The coalition has set up a website to make its case, pointing to polls showing that a majority of voters, including GOP voters, support the idea.

Maryland Announces More Than $12 Million in Highway Safety Grants

Funds Distributed to Law Enforcement and Traffic Safety Advocates Statewide.

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Larry Hogan today announced over $12.5 million in federal highway safety funds granted to more than 80 agencies and organizations across Maryland to help strengthen and expand the state’s efforts to save lives on Maryland roads. The funds will be distributed by the Maryland Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office to law enforcement agencies and traffic safety advocates throughout Maryland.

“The safety and security of Marylanders is our top priority and this vital funding will help strengthen our efforts to reduce traffic fatalities and save lives,” said Governor Hogan. “Dangerous, impaired, and distracted driving puts everyone at risk, and we will continue to do everything in our power to ensure safety on our roads.”

The federal grants will help fund the following traffic-safety efforts:
  • Preventing impaired, aggressive, and distracted driving
  • Increasing the use of seat belts
  • Increasing motorcyclist, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety efforts
  • Funding child passenger safety fitting stations
  • Funding traffic safety-related law enforcement operations
  • Improving Maryland’s traffic data systems.

To help reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries across the state, Maryland is implementing a five-year plan known as theMaryland Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). The plan brings together local, state, and federal partners and organizations such as the National Safety Council, AAA, Mothers Against Drunk Driving and numerous other corporate, non-profit, and public sector partners. The SHSP contains more than 30 separate strategies to reduce overall roadway fatalities by at least 50 percent in the next two decades. The Plan emphasizes solutions from the “Four Es” of highway safety – Engineering, Enforcement, Education, and Emergency Medical Services.

“Our mission is to do everything in our power to eliminate traffic crashes,” said Transportation Secretary Pete K. Rahn. “Zero crashes, zero injuries and zero fatalities is our ultimate goal.”
The federal grant awards can only be used for traffic safety activities and are allocated based on crash data for each county and/or organization that applied for funding.  Funds can only be spent during Federal Fiscal Year 2017 (October 1, 2016 – September 30, 2017). A breakdown of the amounts granted to more than 80 partners across the state is as follows:

Black Voters Fueling Rise in Trump Support

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has seen a groundswell of support from black voters over the last week, according to the results of a tracking poll released over the weekend.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton experienced a nearly 20-point decrease in support from the same demographic between Sept. 10-16 according to the poll, which was conducted by the Los Angeles Times and the University of Southern California. The survey found Trump's support from black voters increased from 3.1 percent to 19.6 percent over the period, while Clinton's declined from 90.4 percent to 71.4 percent.

The reported shift spanned Clinton's collapse during a 9/11 ceremony in New York City, the revelation she had attempted to conceal a bout of pneumonia, and Trump's Sept. 16 revival of the "birther" issue, when he said Clinton was responsible for creating questions about whether President Obama had been born in the United States.

Minnesota Mall Attacker Was Somali

The Saint Cloud Times is reporting Dahir Adan, a member of the local Somali Community, was the man who attacked nine people at a local mall Saturday while shouting about “Allah.”

A short time earlier, St. Cloud Somali-American community members identified the deceased suspect as Dahir Adan.

Leaders of the Somali-American community in St. Cloud gathered Sunday with his family and issued a statement of sympathy for the family and the nine victims of the attack.

Community leader Abdul Kulane said as far as the family and community know, the suspect did not have any history of violence. He was known as a smart, accomplished student at Apollo High School. He was a junior at St. Cloud State University, Kulane said. Adan was also working part-time as a private security officer, leaders said.

At a press conference on Sunday, St. Cloud, Minnesota city officials refused to release the identity of the man who attacked nine people with a knife in a local mall Saturday night while shouting “Allah.” The attacker was killed by an off-duty police officer from a nearby city who happened to be in the mall at the time.

Bill Clinton’s longtime pal: Hillary ‘losing her mental capabilities’

'I wouldn't trust her with matches in the kitchen'

Despite mounting evidence that Hillary Clinton is hiding serious health problems, she will press on in her campaign because of a crazed lust for power, which ultimately will propel her to self-destruction, contends a longtime critic.

That’s the dire prediction of someone who has been following Mrs. Clinton’s progress from the beginning, “Billy” Clinton’s childhood friend and former romantic partner Dolly Kyle, the author of “Hillary The Other Woman.”

“I really think she has been ’cruisin’ for a bruisin’, as we say in the South, because she’s such an angry person and so driven by this inner rage,” said Kyle. “People like that eventually break down, physically.”

The reality of disguise on gun control

Very Interesting facts about gun control - which are NEVER discussed by the liberals or the media ........

There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms. That is not disputed.

What is never shown, though, is the breakdown of those deaths to put them in perspective, as compared to other causes of death:

65% of those deaths are by suicide, which would never be prevented by gun laws

15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and mostly justified

17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons

3% are accidental discharge deaths

So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100 (0.17 x 30,000).

Still too many? Well, first, how are those deaths spanned across the nation?

480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago
344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore
333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit
119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington, DC

So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities.
All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws,
So it is not the lack of law that is the root cause.

This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation or about 75 per state. That is an average because some states have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1.

Now, who has the strictest gun laws?
California, of course, but understand, it is not the guns driving this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So, if all cities and states are not created equal, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths.

Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths?

40,000+ die from drug overdose. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT!

36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths

34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities (exceeding gun deaths, even if you include suicide)

Now it gets good...

200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical malpractice.

You are safer in Chicago than you are in a hospital!

710,000 people die per year from heart disease. Time to stop the cheeseburgers!

So what is the point? If Obama and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease would save twice the lives annually of all gun related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.).

A 10% reduction in malpractice would be 66% of the total gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides. Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions!

So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns?

It's pretty simple.

Taking away guns gives control to governments.

This is not conspiracy theory; this is a historical fact.

So, the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, tell them these facts.

Trump maneuver leaves Democrats grasping on birther issue

Allegations about the involvement of Hillary Clinton's 2008 campaign in spreading rumors about President Obama's birth certificate continued to build through the weekend, leading Democrats to provide answers that ranged from denials to reported apologies, and culminating with the party's flustered nominee for vice president trying to talk instead about slavery.

"From the time African-Americans arrived here in 1619 through the end of the civil War, an African-American could not be a citizen of the United States," Virginia Sen. Tim Kaine said in a Sunday morning interview on CNN. "We had to change the Constitution," he added, as anchor Jake Tapper tried to interject, saying, "I get it, sir."

Kaine failed to respond to Tapper's question. "Sidney Blumenthal, a longtime Clinton confidante and friend, was peddling the birther lie in 2008, according to the former Washington bureau chief of the McClatchy news group," Tapper pointed out. "Has Secretary Clinton, or the campaign in anyway, looked into whether Blumenthal was pushing the birther lie?"

Undocumented Students DEMAND Scholarships…Their Reasoning Is INCREDIBLE! [VIDEO]

At a high school in Guilford County North Carolina, spurred by a college fair going on inside, a group of undocumented students is protesting and demanding a free college education. Specifically, they are demanding that they be given funds from a private scholarship organization called ‘Say Yes to Education’.

“Why is it that it’s different with me?” Araceli Garcia-Garnica said, “Why is it that one simple piece of paper matters to them so much?

Let me enlighten you, Araceli, it matters because that paper signifies that you are here legally, that you made an effort to become an American, that you went through the process and have completed the citizenship requirements. And that, as any legal immigrant to the US will tell you, is a huge accomplishment. It’s not about you screaming for free stuff. It’s about you figuring out what you have to offer this nation and proving that you are a valuable asset to it. Grow up. And stop trying to extort money.

Administration Aims To Fight Crime With Job Training

The Labor Department will hand out $5 million in grants to fund job centers for people coming out of jails, part of a broader Obama administration initiative to help reduce recidivism, NPR has learned.

"The earlier you start investing in people who are incarcerated, the better the odds of a successful outcome," Labor Secretary Thomas Perez said in an interview.

The new batch of funding means that 41 such grant projects in 10 states have now won federal funding, known as Linking to Employment Activities Pre-release.
