Ok my friends, lets vote, Please send me your picks for Iowa.............1.2.3. Democrat 1.2.3. Republican. Please submit before the opening of the polls in Iowa.
Remember, this is not your choice....this is what you think... It is for your prediction of what those folks in the middle of America think, or in other words, who spent the most money per voter, and who got the best return on their investment.
I do not think Iowa has anything to do with the Big Red or Big Blue votes, which might happen on Super Tuesday, but at least we can do is have some fun.
I will send our results to Joe Albero to publish, with no names, just how the 12 of us voted. 12 is an interesting number....if you do not wish to participate, hey that is ok too.
Happy Iowa Caucus day. Will we hold up until 09.?
P.S. If you do not mind, I will send you the results, without names.,
Here are the results.......
The ballots were sent to 12 people, 7 chose to vote (sound familiar)

Did You Lose A Purse Or Had One Stolen Today?
While I was on the Downtown Plaza today I found a woman's purse. If you lost it/one, please contact the Salisbury Police and describe the contents inside. So you know, when I called them about it, they were there in two minutes! Thanks for not leaving me standing in the cold guys!
I'm not going to leave any details as I don't want 20 people contacting me and asking for it and or the details so they can claim it. LOL

Zoo Boise tiger exhibit nearly impossible to escape
05:40 PM MST on Friday, December 28, 2007
Boise tiger exhibit is very secure BOISE -- After a deadly tiger mauling, zoo officials in San Francisco admit the wall around the tiger's enclosure may not have measured up.
Zoo officials say the wall is 12 1/2 feet, lower than they first reported and about 4 feet shorter than the minimum height recommended by the tiger species survival plan.
There was also a moat in front of the exhibit with no fence. The moat was 33 feet wide, but only 12 feet deep -- enough room for a tiger to possibly get out.
NewsChannel 7 talked to our local zoo director today about the tiger exhibit here.
Our tiger exhibit meets the suggested 16-foot high walls, and the zoo director says the design would make it nearly impossible for a tiger to escape.
At Zoo Boise, the two amur tigers, formally known as Siberian tigers were enjoying the winter weather.
Surrounding their cage is a 16-foot high fence, with an open aired top.
Zoo director Steve Burns says the fence is 12-feet high -- going straight up. Then there is a 4-foot fence that makes a 45-degree angle inward.
And not only that, buried beneath the ground is an identical 4-foot fence with a 45-degree angle to keep the tigers from being able to dig themselves free.
"If a cat were ever going to try and climb out, they'd not only would they have to climb straight up but then backwards and then upside down, so it would make it extremely difficult for that cat to climb out," said Burns.
While the tiger's cage is well protected, the Boise bear exhibit is similar to the tiger exhibit in San Francisco, with only a moat separating the animals from their spectators.
Back in August of 2000, Zoo Boise dealt with their own tiger attack.
Jan Gold was attending a zoo fundraiser when one of the large cats walked out an open gate.
Gold tried to back away, but the tiger struck her with his paw, then bit the back of her neck.
An officer fired his gun to startle the animal, which it did, but the bullet bounced back and hit Gold in the leg.
Gold has since recovered and says she has no hard feelings against the tiger or the officer.
More to come.......

The Audit Is NOT Complete And Here's Proof
Not only is there no Management Letter that goes to the State showing the Audit is complete, Trice Geary was scheduled on the Agenda for the next Council Meeting and Louise Smith has in fact pulled them from the Agenda.
This was the very first correct move, (IMO) Louise has made as Council President. Why waste the Council's time having Herb Geary stand in front of the Council making nothing but excuses again. My guess would be, Louise and the Mayor did NOT want to see him plastered all over the Blogs again for not having the Audit complete.
I don't know what kind of wood shed Louise took the Mayor to but may I strongly suggest Louise bring a local Priest with her any more whenever she meets with the Mayor? That is, if she wants better chances of getting the truth out of her.
I'm told they shouldn't expect the letter till mid January now.

PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Salisbury Department of Community Development is proposing a budgetary amendment to one of its existing Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) projects. The city will be accepting written comments on this proposed amendment until 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2008.
In CDBG program year 2005, Salisbury Neighborhood Housing Service (SNHS) was awarded $50,000 for their Principal Write-Down Assistance Program. This program provides assistance in the form of a second mortgage that is tied to a lien on the property, thereby reducing the buyer’s mortgage payments to an affordable level, and enabling them to become first-time homeowners. The amount of the lien is reduced by a set amount each year, and if the homeowner sells or refinances the property at any time before the lien is released, the amount remaining on the lien is recaptured.
One of the SNHS Principal Write-Down Assistance units generated $19,000 in CDBG Program Income when a client elected to refinance their property after one year of occupancy, and was required to pay back the amount remaining on the lien. The Community Development Department is proposing to award these program income funds back to SNHS so that they may be used to provide a new client with a Principal Write-Down Assistance grant.
Written comments on this proposed amendment may be mailed to the City of Salisbury, Department of Community Development, 125 North Division Street, Salisbury, MD 21801. If you have any questions you may contact the Department of Community Development at (410) 334-3031.

The Mexicans cloned a Texas DOT Truck and got busted smuggling drugs...
I wonder how long they got away with it before they got busted?
Let's give them more welfare money, more of our Social Security money, and raise your taxes to fund their free-ride...
Not that I would ever suggest how Mike Lewis do his job but it sure makes you wonder around here, doesn't it?

Salisbury Police Are Shooting Blanks In 2008
Each day I look forward to heading over to the Press Releases with the SPD but so far they haven't provided a single one in 2008. With all that money being paid out to the top Brass on the third floor, can someone get off their ass and start producing this information more regularly? Just wondering?

Behind Closed Doors
It was a year ago yesterday when Rocky, Debbie, Jim & Rick got together, (I just happened to pop into Rick's Office) to discuss this idea of a Neighborhood Congress.
The photo above records their very first meeting on the subject and like it or not, the Neighborhood Congress is up and running, with or without Shanie Shields?
A Year In Review
Ladies & Gentlemen,
Do you have any clue the hard time everyone was giving me over a year ago when all the Graffiti started showing up on buildings everywhere? I even went to The Daily Times with photos and asked that they do articles about all the Graffiti and they refused. Their idea was to ignore it and it would go away.
Then they came to realize just how powerful SBYNEWS.COM was becoming and the pressure was on, hence the photo of their article above. The Graffiti had been up for weeks, yet they all of a sudden felt it should be exposed and dealt with. In other words, they wanted it down, not exposed to the public.
That is around the time I went into Urban Salisbury and offered to pay to clean off every building in Downtown Salisbury. The Mayor intervened and the City ultimately took on responsibility for it and I was relieved of paying the expense of such. Again, I offered to do it for FREE where the Taxpayers didn't have to pay a penny but the Mayor insisted on using your funds instead. Sound familiar? LOL
A Year Ago Today
Are You Smokers F/N Nuts?
$6.00 to $7.00 a Pack? Are you just flat out stupid? Come on now! Here's what I want everyone to start thinking in the back of their head every time they see someone smoking a cigarette.
That's a Loser! That's someone who has absolutely NO CONTROL. That's someone that has nothing but excuses. I want cigarette smokers to realize that everyone flat out thinks they're stupid BECAUSE THEY ARE!
You see Folks, I smoked for many, many years. Too many to mention. However, even though I can easily afford to smoke cigarettes, once the prices started going through the roof, I QUIT! Heck, that's back when cigarettes were $20.00 a carton and that was crazy! Now it's $50.00 a carton or more and some of you are actually paying it.
So the Governor raised the sales tax today. Then they raised the cigarette tax. Gas prices are through the roof and mortgages are failing like there's no tomorrow but no one will admit we're in a depression? Can someone just open a Soup Line and get it over with, please?
Oh, then try getting a job in the Salisbury area for more than $6.00 an hour. Delaware is one fine State, let me tell you. At least they have compassion and all Maryland has to do is start copying their pattern, (it's NOT against the law for them to do so) and learn from a State that has NO Sales Tax and 1/4 of the Property Taxes. Again, please do tell me what you get in Wicomico County I can't get in Sussex County and also remember this, I can drive there in 2 miles and get your services for FREE. Funny part is, Marylanders have been coming to Delaware for its free services for years. We have the best of both worlds.

Happy Maryland 6% Sales Tax Day
As many of you know, I live in Delmar, Delaware, literally just over the Maryland line. In Delaware we enjoy NO SALES TAX and even our property tax, (I have 7.5 acres of land, new home) whereas I only pay $1,200.00 a year. When I look at Delaware roads, (one of the biggest reasons for taxes in my opinion) I look at the roads in Salisbury for instance and then Delaware and I'm instantly convinced that taxpayers in Maryland are being screwed. Someone, somewhere, is lining their pockets because the roads for the most part in Maryland, SUCK!
John Robinson used to crack jokes on his failed Radio Show by stating Delaware has a bunch of dirt roads and trailers. John was always an Idiot but obviously he doesn't get around the Eastern Shore of Maryland much because Maryland has just as much, (if not more) dirt roads. The other side of that false pride that Maryland is so much better, how about Salisbury? The roads flat out SUCK almost everywhere you turn.
Start relocating to Delaware. Move your businesses here and ultimately move your residence here. Why you people are putting up with what Maryland is serving you, (a pile of shit) is beyond me. Maryland is NOT NYC. It's NOT Orlando. If you live outside of the Baltimore/Washington area, jump over the State line and check it out. The best way to wake up this Governor and to divorce the son of a bitch is move the hell out! It may mean you'll need to move out of the home, but so what! It's done all the time, just check out the divorce rate and foreclosure rate in Maryland.
Now if they could only open a Sam's Club in lower Delaware.

County Cancells Lawn Mower Races?
"I heard the lawn mower races would not be held this year because the county will
not allow them use of the land as in the past. I understand this was a fund
raiser for the West Side Community Center, and didn't cost the county a cent."
Rick Pollitt and Jim Finneran are on this like there's no tomorrow. I expect to post an update on it today.
