Watch What Happens When One Parent Speaks Out at a School Board Meeting About a Controversial Book Assigned to His Daughter

A New Hampshire parent was arrested at a Monday night school board meeting after he voiced outrage his daughter was assigned a book that contains a page detailing a graphic sexual encounter.

Gilford school officials claim the book, “Nineteen Minutes” by Jodi Picoult, contains important themes about a school shooting. But some parents believe a scene described in the book is inappropriate for their children.

According to WCVB-TV, the book contains a graphic description of rough sex between two teenagers, which parents were unaware of until the book had already been distributed to their kids.

“It’s absurd,” William Baer said at the school board meeting.

Michelle Obama's brother fired from Oregon State

Oregon State University is firing first lady Michelle Obama's brother Craig Robinson as head coach of their men's basketball team.

A source told Sports Illustrated about the sacking on Monday, which brings to a close Robinson's six-year term with the Pac-12 team.

While the president's brother-in-law ends his tenure with a losing record of 93-104 and no NCAA tournament appearances, he was once a beacon of hope for the sub-par Beavers.

See the ‘Abominable’ MSNBC Segment That Forced the Network to Apologize

MSNBC issued an apology on Tuesday after it aired a segment celebrating Cinco de Mayo that was full of stereotypes and bad comedy.

The clip features “Morning Joe” producer Louis Burgdorf dancing around in a sombrero, shaking a pair of maracas and drinking what is supposed to be a bottle of tequila. The segment aired on MSNBC’s “Way Too Early.”

RV bachelor party heading to Kentucky Derby find body in cargo bin

A group of friends riding in a rented RV en route to Kentucky Derby to celebrate a bachelor party this weekend made a gruesome discovery when they pulled over to investigate a foul odor.

Anoka County Sheriff's officials say the revelers got off the freeway in Winona Thursday and found a man's body lodged in a compartment of the RV that was accessible only from the outside.

Officers with the Winona Police Department responded just after 10pm to the Shopko department store at 405 Cottonwood Drive in Winona after receiving a call about a human corpse.

Democrat aide slams 'tea baggers' for election-year Benghazi posturing

Trey Gowdy, a knife-in-the-teeth former South Carolina prosecutor, will chair a congressional 'Select Committee' that will investigate the September 11, 2012 State Department debacle in Benghazi, Libya.

House Speaker John Boehner announced the move Monday afternoon, said Gowdy 'is as dogged, focused, and serious-minded as they come. His background as a federal prosecutor and his zeal for the truth make him the ideal person to lead this panel.'

Democrats on Capitol Hill aren't pleased. The White House promptly suggested it wouldn't cooperate with the new panel, and one Democratic congressional aide blamed 'tea baggers' for a partisan circus to come.

Gowdy, a Republican, told TV host Greta van Susteren on Friday night that he has proof the Obama administration intentionally hid the causes of the Benghazi attack – and its own responses to the deadly raid – during the 2012 election season.

'I have evidence that not only are they hiding it but there's an intent to hide it,' Gowdy said on theFox News Channel. 'I can't disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence that there was a systematic intentional decision to with hold certain documents from Congress, and we're just sick of it.

Coke Removing Fire Retardant Chemical From Drinks

The Coca-Cola Company said on Monday it will remove a controversial flavoring stabilizer from some of its drinks, following rival PepsiCo Inc's announcement earlier this year that it would drop the same ingredient from its drinks.

The ingredient, brominated vegetable oil (BVO), is a chemical containing bromine, which is found in fire retardants. Small quantities of BVO are used legally in some citrus-flavored drinks in the United States to keep the flavor evenly distributed.

Coca-Cola said the ingredient was dropped from two flavors of its Powerade drink - fruit punch and strawberry lemonade - earlier this year. The company expects to remove it from its Fanta and Fresca sodas, and as well as citrus-flavored fountain drinks, by year's end for U.S. consumers.

SNL in racism row over 'slave draft' sketch

A Saturday Night Live sketch written and performed by one of the team’s recently hired black female writers has come in for sharp criticism from an editor at African American magazine Ebony who labelled the ‘slave draft’ routine an ‘embarrassment.’

The sketch, performed by Leslie Jones during Saturday’s Weekend Update spot, started with the news that Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o had recently been named People magazine’s ‘World’s Most Beautiful.’

Jones then joked about her own dating woes and admitted that while she wasn’t as attractive as Nyong’o by current standards, her six foot stature wouldn’t have been a problem in the days of slavery.

Biden says illegals are 'already Americans'; some label 'Hispandering'

Vice President Joe Biden insisted on Monday that the estimated 11.5 million people living in the U.S. illegally are 'already Americans,' whether or not the U.S. Congress passes a law providing them with a path to citizenship.

His comments at a breakfast to mark the beginning of Cinco de Mayo, an unofficial holiday that residents of the Mexican state of Puebla founded to mark their country's unlikely victory over French armed forces in 1862.

'To continue the dreams of all the American people, we have got to get 11 million people out of the shadows,' Biden said.

'It’s not just to benefit those 11 million people; it’s badly needed for the country. The country needs a shot in the arm and this would give it a considerable shot in the arm.'

California School District Gives Students Absolutely Jaw-Dropping Assignment in Attempt to ‘Meet Common Core Standards’

The Rialto school district in California is under fire over a stunning eighth-grade assignment that asked students to write an argumentative essay about the Holocaust and “whether or not you believe this was an actual event in history, or merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain wealth.”

The thoroughly debunked idea that the Holocaust was nothing more than a “hoax” perpetuated by the Jews has long been alleged by anti-Semitic conspiracy theorists.

The San Bernardino Sun first reported on the 18-page assignment that gives students three sources to use to write their essays. One of the sources reportedly alleged the gassings in concentration camps were a “hoax” and there was no evidence any Jews actually died in gas chambers.

Detectives Apprehend Serial Bank Robber Moments Before Robbery

Wilmington – Robbery detectives apprehended a serial bank robber this afternoon as he prepared to commit another robbery.

The investigation began on March 10 at 9:06 a.m. when a white male suspect entered the M&T Bank in the Astro Shopping Center and presented a demand note to two female tellers. The tellers complied with the suspect's demands and turned over cash. The suspect then fled.

A second bank robbery occurred on April 8 when the same suspect entered the WSFS Bank at 3202 Kirkwood Highway at approximately 10:53 a.m. The suspect presented a demand note to a male teller, who turned over cash, and then demanded money from a female teller, who complied. The suspect then fled.

On April 18 at 11:20 a.m. the robberies continued. The suspect entered the PNC Bank, 4725 Kirkwood Highway, and presented a demand note to a teller. The suspect fled before receiving any money. Shortly thereafter he entered the Delaware First Federal Credit Union at 1815 Newport Gap Pike and presented a demand note to two tellers. Both tellers complied, turning over cash, and the suspect fled.

The fourth incident occurred on April 30 at 11:15 a.m. when the suspect entered the PNC Bank in Greenville, 3840 Kennett Pike, and demanded cash from two tellers. Both tellers complied and the suspect fled.

After a lengthy investigation into these bank robberies detectives identified Michael D. James, 35, of Newport, as a suspect. Detectives initiated covert surveillance of James, and at 12:31 p.m. today, observed James walking towards the Wells Fargo Bank at 2024 Naamans Road. Detectives apprehended James as he walked through the parking lot. A search of James resulted in the recovery of items and clothing that indicated he was about to commit another bank robbery.

James was transported to Troop 2 where he was charged with one count of robbery first degree, one count of attempted robbery first degree, eight counts of robbery second degree, and two counts a wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. He was committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institute on $75,000 cash bail. A picture of James is not currently available for release.

Americans Now 'Racist' For Waving American Flag

Americans now are being blasted as “racist” for the simple act of waving an American flag.

It happened Monday in California to a small group of protesters who waved U.S. flags in front of a school where officials had banned the practice to avoid violence threatened by Hispanic students celebrating Cinco de Mayo.

The controversy developed in 2010, when school officials ordered students not to wear U.S. flag-theme shirts on the Mexican holiday. The ban has been upheld by a federal appeals court.

The controversy brought a small group of protesters out Monday, and the community reacted immediately.

“What’s wrong with these white people holding up American flags in Morgan hill??? Racist a*******,” wrote Gia Lee in a feed monitored by Twitchy.

GOVERNOR O’MALLEY, PRESIDING OFFICERS SIGN LEGISLATION TO STRENGTHEN AND GROW MARYLAND’S MIDDLE CLASS

U.S. Department of Labor Secretary Tom Perez among bill ceremony attendees; Governor signing bills to increase Maryland’s minimum wage, establish a school construction wage, and expand the earned income tax credit

Annapolis, MD
-- Together with Senate President Mike Miller and House Speaker Pro Tem Adrienne Jones, Governor O’Malley signed bills to expand opportunity and grow Maryland’s economy. Today’s signing builds on the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s efforts to strengthen and grow Maryland’s middle class, and help lift people out of poverty. Labor Secretary Tom Perez joined advocates, business and elected leaders from across Maryland to celebrate the fact that Maryland raised the minimum wage.

The signing at the State House included the centerpiece of the Administration’s legislative agenda for the 2014 General Assembly session: increasing Maryland’s minimum wage to $10.10. Raising the minimum wage will benefit hundreds of thousands of Marylanders who will receive an increase in their incomes. It will also help generate millions of dollars in new economic activity during the phase-in period and help stimulate the creation of more jobs as consumer demand grows.

“For the last eight years, the O’Malley-Brown Administration’s North Star has been strengthening Maryland’s middle class and helping to lift families out of poverty. That’s why the Lt. Governor and I led the fight to raise the minimum wage,” said Governor O’Malley. “Working together with members of the General Assembly and Maryland’s congressional delegation, we brought people together and forged consensus to increase the minimum wage to $10.10. This will boost the incomes of hundreds of thousands of hardworking Marylanders and inject millions of dollars into our State’s economy.”

Why Benghazi Matters

Watergate defines the vocabulary for American political scandals, and so it was no surprise that former Obama-administration communications operative Anita Dunn took to the airwaves yesterday morning to pour derision upon the notion that a “smoking gun” has been uncovered in the form of recently released e-mails documenting the White House’s disinformation campaign following the Benghazi attack. A dozen Democrats have asked, “Where’s the scandal?” But the question here is not whether the administration’s misleading statements in the wake of the attacks on U.S. installations in Egypt and Libya are a political scandal in the style of President Nixon’s infamous burglary; they aren’t. But that the administration’s misdeeds here seem to fall short of felony burglary hardly makes the matter a less serious one: The White House misled the American public about a critical matter of national interest, and it continues to practice deceit as the facts of the case are sorted out. That, to answer Hillary Clinton’s callous question, is what difference it makes.

The Benghazi dishonesty did not end with Susan Rice’s now-infamous 2012 Sunday-show storytelling circuit, in which she blamed the attack on an Internet video that Muslims found insulting but that in fact had nothing to do with what was an organized jihadist attack. Last week, press secretary Jay Carney managed to annoy the usually pliant White House press corps with his embarrassing attempt to explain away the withholding of documents sought by Congress, saying that the e-mails in question were not about Benghazi, despite the fact that there is a section thereof titled “Benghazi.” He has labeled investigation into the matter evidence of a “conspiracy theory.” It is nothing of the sort, and getting a picture of the administration’s failures and dishonesty in the matter requires no leap of logic or supposition of unknown forces at work.

George H.W. Bush honored for courage with 1990 tax hikes

(Reuters) - Former U.S. President George H.W. Bush showed courage in breaking his "read my lips: no new taxes" campaign pledge to broker a 1990 budget compromise that may have cost him re-election two years later, the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation said on Sunday.

The organization honored the 41st U.S. president with its 2014 Profile in Courage Award, praising the Republican leader's "decision to put country above party and political prospects" in the deal with congressional Democrats.

"America's gain was President Bush's loss," Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former president John F. Kennedy and a member of the award committee, said during a ceremony at the library in Boston.

Bush did not attend the event. Granddaughter Lauren Bush Lauren, niece of former president George W. Bush, accepted the award on her grandfather's behalf.

"Candidly speaking, my grandfather did not want to raise taxes in 1990," she said. "But in our constitutional system of governance, Congress also gets a say - and more than that, he felt he owed the American people action and results."

Big(ger) Wicomico County Slush Fund Proposed By Pollitt

In his proposed budget for FY 2015 Rick Pollitt wants to increase funding for the loosely described purpose of "economic development" by 161% over the current budget – from $155,220 to $405,220. The data posted on the County's website in the summary of his proposed budget describes the actual use of the additional funds ($250,000) by a single word, "grants," but provides not the slightest suggestion about how the money actually would be spent. A "Budget Narrative" issued by Mr. Pollitt contains this vague discussion of who would decide about that:

New for FY15, the Executive proposes a transfer of $250,000 to an existing economic development fund 67 (Local Match). These funds will be administered by the County in conjunction with business advisors and SWED to support economic development activity.

We could find no proposed use or even a more particular purpose for spending the additional funds. And there seems to be no identification of the so-called "business advisors," by whom "these funds will be administered." Could Mr. Pollitt select the advisors and dictate how to spend a quarter million dollars of the taxpayers’ money?

This is a scary situation – blank check appropriation of money is foolish. Look at how funding for the County's Board of Education has been squandered, including at watering holes like the Green Turtle and Back Street Grill.

Let's hope the County Council blows this “economic development” promotion charade by Mr. Pollitt out of the water.

Jails Sell E-Cigarettes to Boost Revenue

The image of Paul Newman as the rebellious inmate in “Cool Hand Luke,” cigarette dangling from his lips, is as iconic as it is outdated, because most jails banned tobacco decades ago.

But the new crop of so-called “e-cigarettes” may change that.

Jails in Tennessee — including Sumner and Rutherford counties — are allowing inmates to smoke electronic cigarettes behind bars to help pacify what can be a rowdy population, but also as a revenue source. These disposable e-cigarettes, which usually cost the inmates between $9 and $15 each, contain no tobacco but instead use a low-voltage battery to deliver the key chemical in cigarettes, nicotine, while emitting only water vapor.

The Tennessee Department of Correction does not allow e-cigarettes in prison. But e-cigarettes behind bars are growing increasingly common across the country, and at least five Tennessee counties have allowed them into their jails. E-cigarette companies have begun exhibiting at Tennessee Sheriffs Association conferences, promising a cash cow for jails.

Too Big To Audit? Large Partnerships Escape IRS Scrutiny, GAO Reports

(CNSNews.com) – In 2011, while the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) was busy scrutinizing the tax-exempt status of 100 percent of Tea Party groups and other conservative non-profits, the tax agency did not audit a single high-value electing large partnership (ELP) with more than $100 million in assets.

That's according to a preliminary report released to Congress by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) April 17th. (See GAO.pdf)

An ELP is a business entity with more than 100 partners and more than $100 million in assets that is required to file a 1065-B tax return every year. They include large private equity firms, hedge funds and oil and gas partnerships.

“No partnerships that filed a Form 1065-B from tax years 2002 to 2011 had their tax return audited and closed by IRS from fiscal years 2007 to 2013,” a footnote on page 14 of the GAO report stated.

The Jobs Report Was In Fact a Disaster

Upon closer inspection, the report was a total disaster. You wouldn’t know this from the financial media’s coverage, but it was.

The establishment survey shows a gain of 288,000 jobs last month. However, the household survey shows that that the economy lost 73,000 jobs in April.

This is critical. The household survey does not allow for “duplication of individuals,” meaning that if someone holds more than one job, they’re only counted once. In contrast, if someone is working multiple low paying jobs, every single job will be counted in the establishment survey.

Put it this way. If you go from one solid full time job to working as a waiter, cab driver, and tossing pizzas, the establishment survey will show that the economy created TWO jobs (one job lost plus three started= two jobs net) whereas the household survey will show NO growth (one person lost a job and started working elsewhere).

With this in mind, you should be paying attention to the household survey. The household survey shows 73,000 jobs were LOST. This negates the claim that 288,000 were created.

Newly Discovered Eighth Grade Exam From 1912 Shows How Dumbed Down America Has Become

Have you ever seen the movie “Idiocracy”? It is a movie about an “average American” that wakes up 500 years in the future only to discover that he is the most intelligent person by far in the “dumbed down” society that is surrounding him. Unfortunately, that film is a very accurate metaphor for what has happened to American society today. We have become so “dumbed down” that we don’t even realize what has happened to us. But once in a while something comes along that reminds us of how far we have fallen. In Kentucky, an eighth grade exam from 1912 was recently donated to the Bullitt County History Museum. When I read this exam over, I was shocked at how difficult it was. Could most eighth grade students pass such an exam today? Of course not. In fact, I don’t even think that I could pass it. Sadly, this is even more evidence of “the deliberate dumbing down of America” that former Department of Education official Charlotte Iserbyt is constantly warning us about. The American people are not nearly as mentally sharp as they once were, and with each passing generation it gets even worse.

Just check out some of the questions from the eighth grade exam that was discovered. Do you think that you could correctly answer these?…

-Through which waters would a vessel pass in going from England through the Suez Canal to Manila?

-How does the liver compare in size with other glands in the human body?

-How long of a rope is required to reach from the top of a building 40 feet high to the ground 30 feet from the base of a building?

-Compare arteries and veins as to function. Where is the blood carried to be purified?

-During which wars were the following battles fought: Brandywine, Great Meadows, Lundy’s Lane, Antietam, Buena Vista?

A copy of the exam is posted below. Today, it would be a real challenge for many college students to correctly answer most of these questions correctly…

Cardin Holds Hearing On Conowingo Dam

CONOWINGO, Md. (AP) -- Officials say concerns about the sediment-filtering capacity of a dam on the lower Susquehanna River in northeast Maryland must be addressed in the broader context of trying to improve water quality efforts throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Construction of the Conowingo Dam in the late 1920s created a detainment area for some of the sediments and nutrients flowing down the Susquehanna toward the bay.

But officials say the ability of the reservoir to hold additional sediment is reaching capacity, and heavy rain events sometimes send sediment and pollutants flowing through the dam toward the bay.

Notice: Constitutional Militias are Withdrawing from Bundy Ranch

When the call came out from militias in Nevada that they needed help because a rancher’s Constitutional rights were being violated, Constitutional militia men, defensive patriot groups, and humanitarian aid groups responded from all over the United States. Individual citizens showed up to protest, and the Sleeping Giant was awakened. The Federal government, especially the BLM, found out that if they are going to trample on the Constitutional Rights of U.S. Citizens, they will meet overwhelming resistance. The mission went as all Constitutional Militias prayed it would; the BLM was forced to leave without either side firing a shot.

It is the Goal of all Constitutional Militias and Patriot groups to take our country back without bloodshed. This will, in time, be accomplished as long as the government does not fire on them. If they do then there will, unfortunately, be bloodshed.

Several Militia and Patriot group leaders have conferred, and yesterday, a message was given to one of the people that guards Mr. Cliven Bundy. Mr. Bundy was given an option. He can continue to keep Ryan Payne, a man called Buddha, who refuses to let anyone know who he really is, their other associates with Operation Mutual Aid, and the Mountain Men Militia, and the Constitutional Militias will go home. Or, Mr. Bundy can tell these militants that he wants Constitutional Militias guarding him and we will return when these others leave. This is Mr. Bundy’s choice; the constitutional Militias will NOT be part of any group trying to start a war.

Strong El Nino Could Mean Weak Hurricane Season For Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Climate scientists expect a particularly strong El Nino this summer to lead to fewer hurricanes in the Atlantic.

The probability that at least one major hurricane will make landfall along the East Coast in 2014 is 20 percent, down from the average of 31 percent over the last century, according to a Colorado State University report released April 10.

The report's authors, Philip Klotzbach and William Gray, wrote that there should be below-average hurricane activity because of the "significant impact" El Ninos have on Atlantic hurricane activity.

The probability of a major hurricane — with winds above 110 miles per hour — is estimated to be about 65 percent of the long-term average because of the emergence of the climate phenomenon.

Sober woman arrested for drunk driving after deputy runs stop sign, crashes into her car

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – A sober Wisconsin woman was arrested for drunk driving after a deputy rolled through a stop sign and caused an accident, according to a report from WITI.

A Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputy rolled through a stop sign and T-boned 25-year-old Tanya Weyker’s vehicle in February 2013.

“It was a miracle I wasn’t paralyzed,” Tanya Weyker said.

After the crash, Weyker told deputies she had a few sips of a friend’s drink earlier that night. When a deputy asked why her eyes looked red and glassy, Weyker said she had been crying.

She also told deputies she was prescribed Vicodin after she had her wisdom teeth removed, but it had been at least a week since she took the medication.

Deputies were unable to perform a field sobriety test due to Weyker’s severe injuries. Deputies arrested her and charged her with drunk driving causing injury.

Afghan opium production explodes despite billions spent, says US report

Report by DC's Afghanistan war watchdog found opium cultivation unaffected by $7.5bn US spent to combat it

Opium cultivation is estimated to be at an all-time high in Afghanistan, despite the US spending $7.5bn to combat it.

A report released Wednesday by Washington’s Afghanistan war watchdog has found that the billions spent by the State and Defense departments on counter-narcotics since 2002 has been for nought. Opium-poppy cultivation takes up 209,000 hectares (516,230 acres) of land in Afghanistan, a 36% increase since 2012.

Drug use inside Afghanistan has spiked, according to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction. About 1.3 million Afghan adults were regular drug users in 2012, up from 1 million in 2009; regular opium users grew to 230,000 in 2009 from 130,000 in 2005. The population of Afghanistan is just under 32 million.

Beyond Afghanistan’s borders, about three-quarters of the world’s illicit opium products originates from the country, which sees its poppy cultivation concentrated almost entirely in the country’s southern and western provinces. Those areas – particularly Helmand and Kandahar provinces – were where the bulk of US and UK forces were deployed during the 2010-12 troop surge.

Common Core's Dirtiest Trick: Dividing Parents and Children

When you look back at New Math (ca. 1965) and Reform Math (ca. 1990), one of the most striking and persistent features was that parents could not understand the homework their children brought home.

Mystified parents were trying to advise mystified children. The parents, presumably the wise members of the society, were helpless to say anything useful when confronted by the weird complexities of “reform” math, which has now been rolled forward into Common Core.

Here is a commonplace horror story that can stand in for millions of others: “When Mike and Camille Chudzinski tried to help their son with his homework earlier this fall, they were bewildered. The fourth-grader brought home no spelling lists, few textbooks, and a whole new approach to solving math problems. When he tackled multi-digit addition, for instance, Patrick did not just line up the two numbers and then add the columns, as his parents had been taught to do. Instead, he sketched out a graph with a series of arrows and marks that appeared at first to his parents as indecipherable as hieroglyphics.”

Bundy supporters file complaints against Feds

Meanwhile, local police admit they feared violent scenario 'that would have left a lot of dead officers'

Supporters of embattled Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy on Friday filed a long list of complaints with police about the behavior of federal Bureau of Land Management agents who last month launched a high-profile, heavily armed roundup of cattle he had grazing on public range land – essentially accusing the government of thuggery.

Government agents blocked roads, loosed attack dogs, threatened people and pointed weapons and even harassed photographers, Bundy supporters alleged, according to an AP report about the complaints. Ironically, the police at the same time reported that they had feared for their own lives when dispatched to make sure hundreds of armed Bundy supporters didn’t end up in a firefight with armed federal officers.

But Bundy told WND Friday that he wasn’t there to tell police – or supporters – what they need to be doing, he was just trying to assess damage to his ranch and cattle herd from the partial roundup, and move forward.

He said he hasn’t heard yet from the federal government about any of the disputed issues.

Actually, he told WND, he has gotten a couple of certified letters, but hasn’t opened them, saying he’s going to “give them to my attorney.”

A solution to the entire confrontation is simple, he said: The BLM should leave and let the county and state manage the open range for the benefit of the people.

Think the Fed Destroyed the Dollar?

Two U.S. Presidents Did More to Destroy the Value of the Dollar Than The Fed Ever Did

It's often cited that the dollar has lost 95-98% of its value since the creation of the Federal Reserve in 1913. While Fed policies have contributed to the devaluation of the dollar over the past 100 years, two U.S. Presidents did more in single actions to debase the dollar than the Fed ever did.

The Dollar Destroyers: President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Richard Milhous Nixon.

Driver Charged with Vehicular Assault in Lewes Crash

Lewes, DE- The Delaware State Police have charged a Lewes man with his fourth offense DUI and vehicular assault after he was involved in a crash that injured another person.

The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. last night as David L. Esch, 56 of Lewes, was operating a 1998 Lincoln Town Car eastbound on John J. Williams Highway (SR24) approaching Dorman Road. At the same time, Raymond J. Trolan, 47 of Millsboro, was operating a 1995 BMW 525 westbound approaching the same intersection. Esch unexpectedly pulled into the westbound lane in front of the BMW as if he was going to turn left on Dorman Street, and the two vehicles collided head-on.

David Esch and Raymond Trolan were both transported by EMS to Beebe Medical Center. Esch was treated and released after being seen for non-life-threatening injuries. Trolan was admitted for a severe injury to his leg.

David Esch was transported back to Troop 7 where he was charged with 4th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (previous convictions of 03/03/96, 05/04/01, and 09/14/12), Vehicular Assault 1st, Driving While Suspended and Revoked, No Proof of Insurance, and various other traffic related offenses. He was arraigned at JP3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $7,300.00 cash bond. No photo is currently available.

This May Be The Best "Spin" Yet.

No matter what side of the AISLE you're on, THIS is FUNNY.
Judy Walkman, a professional genealogy researcher in southern California , was doing some personal work on her own family tree. She discovered that Senator Harry Reid's great-great uncle, Remus Reid, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889. Both Judy and Harry Reid share this common ancestor.

The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows in Montana territory:
On the back of the picture Judy obtained during her research is this inscription: 'Remus Reid, horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889.'

Ex-WH Aide Can’t Say Obama in Situation Room Night of Benghazi

Former National Security spokesman Tommy Vietor was unable to say that President Obama was not in the Situation Room the night of the Benghazi attack, dodging questions about Obama’s whereabouts as the assault unfolded. If Obama was in the Situation Room, Vietor should be able to say because he himself was there in the room.

Further, Vietor at one point suggests Obama was in the White House residence – not even in the Oval Office – for at least part of the time during the attacks after being briefed in the Oval Office late in the afternoon.

That Vietor was in the Situation Room indicates the White House was taking the matter seriously. What the White House has failed to specifically demonstrate is that the president was taking it seriously.

O'Malley Signs Bill Banning Grain Alcohol

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley has signed a measure banning the retail sale of alcohol that is 190-proof and stronger.

The new law signed Monday by the Democratic governor had strong backing from leaders of colleges and universities.

Jonathan Gibralter, president of Frostburg State University, says grain alcohol is seen as a cheap and reliable way to get drunk quickly. He says that makes it a popular option for students, who don't realize how intoxicated it can make them very quickly.

WHY ARE WE BEING RAPED AT THE GAS PUMP?

Next time you have to fill up at $3.49/gallon, think of this.

OIL - You better be sitting down when you read this.

As you may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago. They send every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota and several drivers. They just bought two new Kenworth's to add to that fleet; one being a Tri Drive tractor and a new 65 ton lowboy to go with it. They also bought two new cranes (one crawler & one rubber tired) for that division.

Dave Cruz said they have moved more rigs in the last 6 months in ND than Cruz Construction moved in Alaska in the last 6 years.

Williston is like a gold rush town; they moved one of our 40 man camps down there since there are no rooms available.

Unemployment in ND is the lowest in the nation at 3.4 percent last I checked.

See anything in the national news about how the oil industry is fueling North Dakota's economy?

Here's an astonishing read. Important and verifiable information:

About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest.

The Bakken is the largest domestic oil discovery since Alaska's Prudhoe Bay, and has the potential to eliminate all American dependence on foreign oil. The Energy Information Administration sm(EIA) estimates it at 503 billion barrels. Even if just 10% of the oil is recoverable( 5 billion barrels), at $107 a barrel, we're looking at a resource base worth more than $5.3 trillion.

"When I first briefed legislators on this, you could practically see their jaws hit the floor. They had no idea.." says Terry Johnson, the Montana Legislature's financial analyst.

However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves, and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil, those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL !!!!!!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight.

Thank You For The Tremendous Support

The Best Dear Abby Ever

Dear Abby:

My husband has a long record of money problems.
He runs up huge credit-card bills, and at the end of
the month, if I try to pay them off, he shouts at me,
saying I am stealing his money. He says pay the
minimum...let our kids worry about the rest, but we
hardly keep up with the interest. Also, he has been
so arrogant, and abusive toward our neighbors that
most of them no longer speak to us. The few that
do are an odd bunch, to whom he has been giving
a lot of expensive gifts, running up our bills even more.

He has also gotten religious. One week he hangs
out with Catholics, the next with people who say the
Pope is the Anti-Christ, and the next he's with Muslims.
Finally, he's demanding that before anyone can be
in the same room with him, they must sign a loyalty
oath. It's just so horribly creepy! Can you help?

Signed, Lost

Dear Lost:

Suck it up and stop whining, Michelle. You're getting
to live in the White House for free, travel the world,
and have others pay for everything. You can divorce
his ass, anytime. Unfortunately, the rest of us are
stuck with him until the end of his second term.

Abby

The definition of the word Conundrum

The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or confusing.

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in
other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about -
yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in
the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our
current government and cultural environment:

1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few
lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions
of a few lunatics. Funny how that works
.

And here's another one worth considering...

2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run
out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps
running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked
for" their money, but the second didn't.
Think about it.....

and Last but not least,

3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our
military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but
we are not stopping the payments or benefits to illegal aliens.

Am I the only one missing something?

14th Amendment - The New Deal - JFK's Death - and YOU

The 14th amendment to the constitution allowed the federal government to incorporate, but it did not say what kind of corporation it could become. It is a FOREIGN CORPORATION! If you want to sue “THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT”, you have to do so under International law. The US Government is chartered in the Hague, Netherlands. Does the “District of Columbia” sound like a place inside the United States? It’s not. Washington D.C. is a small piece of land here in this country that legally exists in another country.

The states cannot claim sovereignty because they are all DIVISIONS of the US Government and they do not have ownership of their assets. The assets are owned by a FOREIGN CORPORATION. ALL of the States have pledged the assets of their State to the US GOV (FOREIGN CORP) in exchange for receiving things like HIGHWAY FUNDS and EDUCATION. THE STATES GAVE UP THEIR RIGHTS and OWNERSHIP! I have spent a number of years working in the dark area of International Corporate asset protection and there are a few things you should know. ALL of the States are Divisions of the (FOREIGN) US GOV. and all of the counties and cities within are DIVISIONS of the state.

This is the reason Orange County, CA was able to file a bankruptcy and remain in place. The US GOV. abandoned the DBA for Orange County, and filed a new one. ALL of the assets of Orange County were retained because they were pledged to The US GOVERNMENT (FOREIGN CORPORATION) and (THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK), who is the creditor (OWNER) of the assets. Once the DBA was abandoned, the assets could not be seized.

Now...I will call this “THE GREATEST LIE EVER TOLD”. In 1933, at the height of the great depression, FDR filed a bankruptcy on the UNITED STATES to the FEDERAL RESERVE BANK (CREDITOR). This was called “THE NEW DEAL”. The bankers of England and Europe are the owners of (THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK) and they are the ones who bailed us out of the depression (THEY LOANED US THE MONEY). They did it with fake money (reserve notes) so it cost them nothing! They own ALL of the assets of this country through our phony debt! Under the terms of the US BANKRUPTCY, the constitution was suspended in 1933. We lost our constitutional rights when that happened. IF you go into a court of law and cite your constitutional rights, the judge is laughing under his breath because he knows that you don’t know. If you have been in a court of law, you may have seen the US flag that has gold fringe around the edges. That is not a decoration; it is the same gold fringe that hangs off the shoulder of a British admiral’s uniform. THIS COUNTRY HAS BEEN UNDER INTERNATIONAL MARITIME LAW SINCE 1933!!!

In a court of law you will walk through a small wooden gate to approach the judge. Once you cross that threshold you are no longer in the United States, you are now in an International Tribunal Court and you are subject to their laws. THE CONSTITUTION DOES NOT APPLY! It was suspended in 1933! The reason I am telling you this is because the game was over 76 years ago! Under the UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE the assets of this country can be repossessed at any time by our creditors (THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANK) demanding payment of the money we owe them (THE NATIONAL DEBT). It will all be perfectly legal under INTERNATIONAL MARITIME LAW.

The reason JFK was assassinated had nothing to do with the MOB, CUBA, JOHNSON or any of those other ridiculous theories. He was killed because he found out about the Bankruptcy that FDR filed and what a Federal Reserve note was. JFK was printing American currency and had it warehoused and ready for distribution when he was killed. He really was trying to help us. Have you heard his speech about “SECRET SOCIETIES” and “THE SHADOW GOVERNMENT” on you tube? This stuff is real. We won our independence in 1776 and they got us back in 1933. Did you really think they would just let us go after only one war? There is too much money here.

The other thing that happened in 1933 was the creation of the “SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM”. This is the part you will not like. When you signed your SSI card, you were agreeing to pledge your personal assets (PROPERTY, WAGES, LABOR ect.) in exchange for GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE, (SSI, WELFARE, UNEMPLOYMENT, FOOD STAMPS, ECT.) If you have never received aid from the Government, you still pledged your assets to pay off the US GOV debt. Obviously, most people are not aware of the terms of the bankruptcy; they don’t even know it happened, but IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE. Unfortunately, that is how it works in the courts.

The people who loaned us the money had no obligation to explain all of this; it was your job to find out about it. Why would anyone think that GOV aid was free? Nothing is free! The time is coming soon to make a choice. If you stand and die, it will be for property that you do not own. I know that is a hard pill to swallow, but it is the truth. A better choice would be to leave the country, or move to the northern US and live off the land. If you stay in the cities or rural areas, you will have to go along with the program. The group behind this thing knows exactly what they are doing. They have been doing it a long time. I really do wish the best for everyone, but keep one thing in mind, we stole this land from the Indians, and now someone else has stolen it from us. GOOD LUCK!!!!

Did Hillary Clinton Push Sale of Stinger Missiles to al-Qaeda in Benghazi?

Two former U.S. diplomats are reporting that whistleblowers are getting ready to reveal information that might turn the simmering Benghazi scandal into an explosive fiasco for both former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and President Barack Obama.

According to a PJ Media report, the whistleblowers who are colleagues of the ex-diplomats are now securing lawyers because the areas in which they work aren't fully covered by the Whistleblower law.

PJ Media also noted that while the information "is largely hearsay…the two diplomats sounded quite credible. One of them was in a position of responsibility in a dangerous area of Iraq in 2004."

The revelations according to the diplomats will focus on Ambassador Chris Stevens' real purpose in Benghazi. Ambassador Stevens was killed during a controversial attack on the U.S. consulate on September 11 in Benghazi last year.
