Important Fruitland Meeting Tonight

Interested citizens should plan to attend an important planning and zoning meeting tonight at City Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m. The long overdue updated zoning ordinance and Bennett Middle School will be discussed along with other proposed ordinances. Go to Fruitland's web site and click on "government" and "planning commission" to see the agenda. For whatever reason they are no longer posting important meetings on their homepage.

County Council Aproves New Arthur Perdue Stadium Location For Next Major Fight

Hal Chernoff met this morning with the Wicomico County Council to secure a proposed date of October 9, 2009 Professional Boxing Event to be held at the Shorebirds Stadium, an outdoor event with alcohol.

The Stadium can hold up to 8,000 people and considering beer can be served, this secures major sponsors to finally step up to the plate and help sponsor the event.

"We're not looking to turn away from the Civic Center," said Hal Chernoff. Prize Fight Promotions simply wants to try holding one event in which alcohol can be served.

In appreciation of Fernando Guerrero, John Cannon stated, "Team Guerrero is creating its own stimulus package for Wicomico County."

There will be a rain date set for October 10th, should there be any issues. Now, from what I have come to learn, they plan on having around 500 seats on the ground level and the ring will be somewhere near home plate in the Stadium. It will be at an angle so there will not be a bad seat in the house. I'm also told the Shorebirds will take down the net behind home plate.

I did speak with Fernando just a little while ago and he is very excited the County is so willing to work with them. Their hope is to bring a regional title fight here to Salisbury and ultimately a World Championship Event here as well.

All parties I have spoken with say that he's ready for a title fight, especially after Saturday's win against a bigger opponent. The ball is now rolling and with any luck they'll be able to pull off the event on this scheduled date but there's a lot more to this than just getting the Council's OK on it. We'll keep you posted with updates.

Oh, I'm told this will not be a Showtime or HBO event. However, it may be a Pay Per View event, time will tell.

Obama's Diversity Offensive Against Talk Radio

Conservative talk radio continues to flourish, but there are troubling signs that the Obama administration is seeking to silence the free and open exchange of views on the public airwaves.

Today 100 million people tune in to America's 2,000 talk-radio hosts each week, and the overwhelming majority of those hosts are conservative — a fact that has irked the left for years.

The recent controversy surrounding top-rated radio and TV talker Glenn Beck is emblematic of the Obama regime's efforts to stifle dissent in the media.

The African-American political organization Color of Change called for an advertiser boycott of Beck's programming after Beck said Obama "doesn't like white people" on July 28.

He was reacting to Obama's assertion that the Cambridge, Mass., Police Department had acted "stupidly" in its arrest of African-American professor Henry Louis Gates.

As it turns out, Color of Change was founded by Van Jones, who serves in the Obama White House as his "green-jobs czar," responsible for stimulating job growth in the environmental sector.

Obama has made no secret of his disdain for others in the conservative media. Shortly before the November election, he said in an interview, "I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls."

And in June he was clearly referring to Fox when he stated, "I've got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration."

Obama has also gone after Rush Limbaugh, telling GOP leaders shortly after his inauguration, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."

FMCSA Fines Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc.

FMCSA Fines Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc. for Violating Multiple Federal Safety Regulations

WASHINGTON
-- The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) today announced that it has issued a civil penalty notice to Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc. of New Castle, Delaware, for alleged federal motor carrier safety violations. The $83,120 fine was the result of an investigation by FMCSA’s Delaware Division into the school bus company’s safety compliance record.

The FMCSA cited Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc. for a number of safety violations, including:

* Employing a driver who tested positive for a controlled substance;

* Failing to conduct periodic, random drug and alcohol testing;

* Operating vehicles without the required federal minimum levels of insurance;

* Operating vehicles that had not been inspected for safety defects as federally required.

“As school buses return to the roads in communities across the country, it is imperative that every bus company and driver operates in full compliance with federal safety regulations,” said Rose A. McMurray, FMCSA Acting Deputy Administrator. “For the FMCSA and its state partners, enforcing safety standards and assessing civil penalties that keep unfit carriers and drivers off the road is critical to protecting the millions of students returning to their classrooms this school year.”

The fine and citation of Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc. came as a result of the FMCSA’s spring passenger carrier strike force initiative, Operation Safe Student, carried out in all 50 states and U.S. territories from May 8 to May 21, 2009. The goal of the strike force was to remove unsafe buses, motor coaches and other passenger carriers and drivers from the road, and to provide states additional funding to conduct roadside safety inspections.

Lehane’s Bus Service, Inc. will have an opportunity to contest the alleged violations and the fine.

CHIEFY WEBSTER FALLS FLAT ON FACE – ONCE AGAIN!

Now that Jim Ireton has finally told Webster to stand down from his and his mentor’s effort to smear Debbie Campbell, we should consider the rumor mongering campaign that he and Barrie Tilghman have conducted with the assistance of the Daily Times.

Why has Webster not presented any actual evidence? Not only has he provided no contemporaneous reports about the so-called surveillance episode, Webster has offered nothing to show that there is/was a tape, much less that Ms. Campbell ever had or saw it. His claim that someone has knowledge of such a scenario has not been supported by any showing – an affidavit, for instance. And his failure to name any informant flies in the face of the release of messages between him and Barrie Tilghman that impugn Ms. Campbell without any foundation.

But the greater criticism falls on the Daily Times, which from the start has slanted its reporting to suggest that Ms. Campbell is implicated despite her prompt denial of allegations for which no evidence has been presented by her accusers. Even in its coverage of the Mayor’s intervention to stop the Webster-Barrie Tilghman witch hunt there’s this suggestion: “documents surfaced last week linking Campbell to a missing surveillance tape.” Those documents, it seems, are the Webster/Barrie correspondence and one that mentions that Ms. Campbell contacted the former police chief (Ed Guthrie) seeking information about the alleged tape after she was attacked by Chiefy and his cohort.

Let this serve as a strong message to Tilghman, Webster AND The Daily Times, who's in power now! My only advice to Ireton next time, (and there will be a next time) would be to stop these things dead in their tracks before they get any Press. Can you believe we're already saying, "Enough is Enough." Now go make me a samich.

"Fight Crime, Not Opinions."

Considering the Daily Times took sbynews on Twitter, I decided to take Delmarvanow.

That's right, two can play that game. Perhaps one day they'll want to SWAP names. In the mean time, game on. So look us up and join Delmarvanow.

BROOKE HAS TURNED THE CORNER!

Sunday 8/30 Transplant Day +9: Brooke had a great day!!! Her ANC went from 20 to 192! She is still having Mucositis issues (vomiting & diarrhea) but starting to act more herself now. Grammy, Brooke and I had a wonderful day together and at night Brooke and I had great snuggle time. It is such a relief to see her attempt to smile and giggle and to just be Brooke. She never ceases to amaze me! I thank God every day for the miracle he blessed us with when he created Brooke. She is wise beyond her years, as most of the kids we have met here on the oncology unit are, such a gentle soul and her heart is filled with such joy and love.

Monday 8/31 Transplant Day +10: Brooke’s day started a little rough this morning. She got to bed late Sunday night (didn’t fall asleep until about 12:30 & never napped) and had to wake up this morning to get on the scale at 8am. Needless to say she was not a happy camper and let it be known to anyone who came near her! She also started throwing up a lot of blood again and her nose was bleeding. She needed a platelet transfusion again. On a very positive note, her ANC took a huge jump to 1298 which means that she can stop taking all her oral antibiotics which is wonderful because she has been having the toughest time being able to keep them down. They taste terrible to her and it is hard for her to have anything in her mouth or to swallow due to the mucositis and if she throws them up she has to take them again! She was very happy about this news! The doctors think she may be able to go home early (this Friday at the earliest which would be about a week earlier than expected). I feel that it might be too early but we’ll see how she is doing the next couple of days.

I had a wonderful visit with my college roomie, Steph this afternoon and Uncle Johnny and Aunt Johanna came by tonight to get Brooke all fired up right before bed! I have not seen Brooke laugh so hard in weeks and she just had a blast with them which was great to see! She finally settled down around 11:15 so I think it might be a rough morning again!

Well thank you everyone again for all your prayers. It looks like the worst of this phase of treatment is over now! I am going to close with another video link of Brooke. This one is of her saying the Lord’s Prayer. I think I videoed this one back in March of this year. Hope you enjoy it!

God Bless,

Barack Obama’s Birth Certificate: Why It Matters

By: Christopher Ruddy

Where was Barack Obama born?

It’s a fair question.

But we still don’t know the answer because Obama won’t tell us, because he remains the most mysterious man ever to sit in the Oval Office.

This week I appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s No. 1 rated “The O’Reilly Factor” to discuss the controversy over Obama’s birth certificate, along with syndicated radio host Mike Gallagher. [See the video of my appearance — Click Here Now.]

Let me make clear that I believe Obama was born somewhere in the state of Hawaii. Days after his birth, a small legal notice was printed in the local newspaper announcing his birth.

And the head of Hawaii's Health Department has stated that he reviewed pertinent documents and that Obama was indeed born in that state.

So, those who believe Obama was born outside the United States, such as in Kenya, are simply out to lunch.

But the real story here is about Obama’s failure to release his birth certificate.

As the state of Hawaii has made clear, the actual birth certificate has never been released.

Obama has released another document, the certification of live birth. This document does not provide basic information, such as the place of Obama’s birth or the doctor who conducted the procedure.

THE BANK OF DELMARVA AND RIVER PLACE CONDO

A post yesterday about the Feldman’s property generated comments about the big condo on Riverside Drive that has now sold about 20% of the units. Some folks said that it was built by Steve Grant, using his own money, but others thought that the Bank of Delmarva was the construction lender. Here’s what records filed in the Wicomico County Courthouse show.

Steve Grant appears to be one of several investors in the group called River Place, LLC, that developed the condo. The other investors seem to be Thos. and Teri Monahan and T&T Monahan Realty, Inc.

And the Bank of Delmarva has made loans to the development group for 12 Million Dollars in 2006 and another $750,000 last summer, for which it holds an “indemnity deed of trust” for each loan. Because that form of mortgage was used, they did not have to pay a tax to record the documents.

Signs Of The Times

Yesterday we provided an article about Home Depot and things being slow there. I received several telephone calls telling me it's nowhere near as bad as my Post made it sound, and I believe them.

That being said, the image above is delivered with all due respect to E.D. Supply and my hat is tipped to them for taking the bull by the horns in such a difficult economy and thinking of their Staff first!

If only our local City & County Municipalities would take on a business like attitude and cut out ALL related activities, including the Salisbury Festival and think first before any lay offs have to take affect.

Please remember where you came from Folks and remember companies like E.D. Supply the next time you have electrical needs.

With Love From Russia

According to snopes … this is from the Russian News Agency, Pravda. The link below. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/pravda.asp

The irony of this article appearing in the English edition of Pravda (Russian State Newspaper) defies description.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American descent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish..

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America .

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America 's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too.. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK 's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left. The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Parking Violations In The City Of Salisbury

A Salisbury News Reader wirtes in:

"On Aug. 29th 2009 I receive a letter from the MVA stating that I owe a 35 dollars for a citation that happened on may 15th 2009 at 9am. I called all three police branches none of which has my citation number in the system, Salisbury City tells me to call the parking finance dept. Monday morning as their office is closed on the weekend.

So in the mean time I'm searching the Internet for any info on my citation number and nothing is coming up. Monday morning my mother calls the finance dept. with concern to the matter and gets no info other than its a parking ticket, and had it been paid with in the first 30 days it would have been 10 bucks but now that its 4 months old its $35 dollars to the finance dept and 30 bucks to the MVA for something I'm just now hearing about. I then call back to the finance office and ask for a supervisor, i get her voice mail (Jerry Moore).

After explaining my situation on her voice mail a few hours pass and I receive a call back with a response of "weather or someone could have removed your ticket, which we are not responsible for and not our fault" well this isn't my fault either.

Now I'm not saying I wasn't there, I very well could have been but this was 4 months ago I cant remember what I did last week, let alone 4 months ago. I ask "why cant I take this to court," Moore says, "you could have called for a court date which is on the back of the ticket." How can I call for a court date if I didn't receive a ticket. Moore also says "this happens often" well if this has and still happens why not do something about it with the era in life we are in why didn't I receive an email.

How are they so sure that I received my ticket if it wasn't put in my hand? after all I'm the one who has to come up with the money to pay for this not my car. My next move is contact the Mayor since I spoke with the highest supervisor in the finance dept with no help."
Thanks for your time hope this doesn't happen to anyone else but something needs to be done with this situation.

Has this happened to YOU? I'm posting this message as we'd really like to see if this is an ongoing problem, yet there's been no place to voice it, until now.

An Open Letter To The Wicomico County Council

Dear Wicomico County Council,

I come before you once again to make what I once thought was an easy and reasonable request.

That is: Please, don't require that I take vacation time off work to participate in the county council meetings and the legislation process that affects me, my money, and my community.

While I want to acknowledge and thank you for "deciding to experiment" by holding one quarterly meeting in the evening, as is stated in this Daily Times article from your last meeting, it doesn't seem to be much of a departure from the once a quarter evening meeting you have been conducting for the last two years.

Like tens of thousands of hard working tax payers in this county, I work a traditional work day that consists of Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.

Coming to your meetings at 10am on a Tuesday is no easy task for me or others that would like to be here. We have to take time off of work, and in this economy, for those that are employed or run a business, that's often not possible.

I know most of you personally and consider you to be reasoned, thoughtful, wise and good people, but I don't understand what is so difficult about conducting evening meetings to meet the needs of tax paying citizens. I requested evening meetings back in July and basically my request was politely ignored. I made the request again in August along with many others, including Mary Ashanti, President of NAACP, and I understand that it was brought up by citizens again at your last meeting on August 18th, when I couldn't attend because I was working. In fact, I understand this a long standing request from this community.

Some of you, like Mr. Cannon have stated that he doesn't care one way or another if the meetings are held during the workday or after hours. Mrs. Prettyman mentioned the council meetings are televised on PAC 14, Mr. McCloud feels he represents seniors and is concerned that evening meetings would be difficult for them to attend, Mr. McCain said he thinks it's a limited amount of people who desire this change. Mr. Holloway has openly supported night meetings, Mrs. Sample-Hughes invited me to her district's quarterly evening meeting, which I found very enlightening, (thank you) and Mrs. Bartkovich, well I haven't heard your opinion on this.

There have been no less then 3 articles on this matter in the Daily Times in the last 6 weeks on this subject and countless discussions on the net and in local blogs like Sbynews,http://sbynews.blogspot.com/ DelmarvaDealings,http://www.delmarvadealings.com/ monoblogue http://monoblogue.us/ with all kinds of support for evening meetings, yet I am told there is not enough support among the council, for evening meetings to take it to a vote. Daily Times article

Council, these are challenging times. As if budget shortfalls and cuts weren't bad enough, I understand that state of Maryland is cutting funding to Wicomico County by million dollars. I personally, along with hundred of Americans for Prosperity members, and other citizens want to be a part of the discussion on how that and other issues with be delt with. I certainly want to participate on how you are spending my money.

I know this is the way you have "always done it" but this is the time for REAL Change. It's the right thing to do!

Thank you,

Julie

WET PANTS

Come with me to a third grade classroom...... There
is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and
all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his
feet and the front of his pants are wet. He
thinks his heart is going to stop because he
cannot possibly imagine how this has
happened. It's never happened before, and
he knows that when the boys find out he will
never hear the end of it. When the girls find
out, they'll never speak to him again as long as
he lives...

The boy
believes his heart is going to stop; he puts his
head down and prays this prayer, 'Dear God, this
is an emergency! I need help now! Five minutes
from now I'm dead
meat.'

He looks
up from his prayer and here comes the teacher
with a look in her eyes that says he has been
discovered.

As the
teacher is walking toward him, a classmate named
Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled
with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher
and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the
boy's lap.

The boy
pretends to be angry, but all the while is
saying to himself, 'Thank you, Lord! Thank you,
Lord!'

Now all
of a sudden, instead of being the object of
ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The
teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym
shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All
the other children are on their hands and knees
cleaning up around his desk. The sympathy is
wonderful . But as life would have it, the
ridicule that should have been his has been
transferred to someone else -
Susie.

She
tries to help, but they tell her to get out.
You've done enough, you
klutz!'

Finally,
at the end of the day, as they are waiting for
the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and
whispers, 'You did that on purpose, didn't you?'
Susie whispers back, 'I wet my pants once
too..'

May God
help us see the opportunities that are always
around us to do
good...

Remember........Just
going to church doesn't make you a Christian any
more than standing in your garage makes you a
car..

Each and
everyone one of us is going through tough times
right now, but God is getting ready to bless you
in a way that only He can. Keep the faith.

My instructions were to pick people that I
wanted God to bless, and I picked you.... Please

Monday, August 31, 2009- Morning Bank Robbery Investigation Underway

Bear-
To someone hearing about this incident who wasn’t there- it may have seemed like a comedy of errors, but it was no laughing matter.

At about 9:11 a.m. this morning two sets of New Jersey siblings responded to the Artisans Bank in Bear with plans of carrying out an armed robbery. The gang consisted of Marvin Mencia (22 years old of Philadelphia Avenue in Egg Harbor, New Jersey) and his brother Olman Mencia (21, of South Harrisburg Avenue, Atlantic City, New Jersey), Jeffrey Johnson (21, of Adriatic Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey) and his sister Ciara Johnson (20, also of Adriatic Avenue).

The four subjects pulled up to the bank in two cars- a Chevrolet Aveo and a Ford Focus. The three men donned wigs and entered the bank. Marvin and Olman were both armed with handguns. Once inside, the bandits duct taped two employees to restrain them and forced the remaining six into a bathroom. In the course of doing so, Marvin discharged his handgun into the ceiling- he later claimed that this was accidental.

The suspects then obtained a female employee from the bathroom and demanded she assist them in locating cash. The employee complied and the suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the tills and the vault.

The three men then fled the bank and locked the doors behind them. Once outside, the robbers realized they had left their keys to the Aveo inside the bank. Because the doors were locked, they could not get back in to retrieve them. It was at this point the secondary get-away-car, the Ford Focus, driven by Ciara Johnson, pulled up to whisk them all away. They then fled the scene eastbound on Route 40.

A witness to the suspects fleeing the scene provided their vehicle description to 911 operators. State Police and New Castle County Police dispatch centers, both called RECOM, issued radio broadcasts with the Ford’s description to patrol officers. A New Castle County Police officer located the Focus in the area of the Route 13 / 40 split and a traffic stop ensued. The suspects were taken into custody without incident and transported back to Troop 2.

Each suspect was charged with the same offenses which are as follows: 6 counts of Robbery (felony), 8 counts of Kidnapping (felony), 3 counts of Aggravated Menacing (felony), Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony (felony), Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number (felony), Wearing a Disguise during the Commission of a Felony (felony) and Conspiracy 2nd (felony).

The money and the firearms were recovered in this investigation. No employees were injured.

Bail information was not available at the time of this release. Mug shots will not be available until tomorrow.

Letter To Barbara Boxer

Many saw Barbara Boxer as she admonished a brigadier general because he addressed her as "ma'am" and not "Senator" before a Senate hearing. This letter is from a National Guard aviator and Captain for Alaska Airlines. I wonder what he would have said if he was really angry.

Dear Senator Boxer:

You were so right on when you scolded the general on TV for using the term, "ma'am," instead of "Senator". After all, in the military, "ma'am" is a term of respect when addressing a female of superior rank or position. The general was totally wrong. You are not a person of superior rank or position. You are a member of one of the world's most corrupt organizations, the U...S. . Senate, equaled only by the U.S. House of Representatives....

Congress is a cesspool of liars, thieves, inside traders, traitors, drunks (one who killed a staffer, yet is still revered), criminals, and other low level swine who, as individuals (not all, but many), will do anything to enhance their lives, fortunes and power, all at the expense of the People of the United States and its Constitution, in order to be continually re-elected. Many democrats even want American troops killed by releasing photographs. How many of you could honestly say, "We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor"? None? One? Two?

Your reaction to the general shows several things. First is your abysmal ignorance of all things military. Your treatment of the general shows you to be an elitist of the worst kind. When the general entered the military (as most of us who served) he wrote the government a blank check, offering his life to protect your derriere, now safely and comfortably ensconced in a 20 thousand dollar leather chair, paid for by the general's taxes. You repaid him for this by humiliating him in front of millions.

Second is your puerile character, lack of sophistication, and arrogance which borders on the hubristic. This display of brattish behavior shows you to be a virago, termagant, harridan, nag, scold or shrew, unfit for your position, regardless of the support of the unwashed, uneducated masses who have made California into the laughing stock of the nation.

What I am writing, Senator, are the same thoughts countless millions of Americans have toward Congress, but who lack the energy, ability or time to convey them. Under the democrats, some don't even have the 44 cents to buy the stamp. Regardless of their thoughts, most realize that politicians are pretty much the same, and will vote for the one who will bring home the most bacon, even if they do consider how corrupt that person is. Lord Acton (1834 - 1902) so aptly charged, "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Unbeknownst to you and your colleagues, "Mr. Power" has had his way with all of you, and we are all the worse for it.

Finally Senator, I, too, have a title. It is "Right Wing Extremist Potential Terrorist Threat." It is not of my choosing, but was given to me by your Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano. And you were offended by "ma'am"?

Have a fine day. Cheers!

Dear White Liberal America

Dear White Liberal America
By Lloyd Marcus

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/08/dear_white_liberal_america.html

Thank you very, very much. You see us poor helpless inferior blacks (oh forgive me, I must be politically correct, "African Americans"), and you want to help us using your superior intellect. After all, we could not possibly succeed in this racist, homophobic and greedy country without your assistance.

I first met you guys in the 70s when I attended the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art on a scholarship. A black kid from the ghetto, I found myself amongst white kids from well to do families. I worked a part-time job to cover my books and art supplies. You guys did not have to work.

And yet, I remember many conversations about how you would never bring a child into this "freaking world" and how "freaking screwed up" this "freaking country is". You told me how "freaking selfish" your "freaking parents" were and how they only cared about "freaking money". Then, you drove off in your convertible given to you be your "freaking parents" as I stood at the bus stop.

I can not thank you enough for the numerous times you shared your expensive promo weed with me. While I enjoyed the free weed (of which I've long ceased to indulge) and rebellious chicks, in all honesty, I could not figure out what you were so p-o-ed about.

So, now you former hippie boomers are in total control of government, colleges and public schools, still selling your Utopian message of peace and love. Thanks for getting rid of black dads in the home via your welfare programs. I mean, everyone knows dads are cruel chauvinists who beat and molest their kids.

Oh, and thanks for encouraging schools to accept black kids speaking Ebonics rather than English. It would be racist to expect us simple minded colored folks to learn to speak English correctly. And besides, we don't want our black kids sounding too white. Authentic blacks must sound like the hood, love rap and Kentucky Fried. I would never trust any black that eats "sushi"; which is probably what those traitors, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas eat. If Justice Thomas would have answered his phone with a "Whats up!" and a heartfelt "A-muri-ka sucks", the NAACP would have championed him as a true brother faithful to his blackness. Sadly, Rice and "Uncle Thomas" as we call him, chose the character, education and hard work route to success. How disgusting!

Yes, you libs are soooo good to us. I really appreciate "b" actresses like Janeane Garofalo putting that Uncle Tom, RNC Chairman, Michael Steele in his place when she said he suffered from Stockholm Syndrome. How dare he not view himself as a victim of white America. How dare he empower young blacks with the knowledge that they can achieve without liberal intervention. What an ungrateful, well, you know the word I'm thinking. It begins with an "N".

In closing, you libs, please keep up the good work. With your continued diligence, we minorities and most Americans will not have to work or be responsible for anything. Your president is in the process of confiscating the wealth from those greedy rich white SOBs and redistributing it to us poor, underprivileged, stupid Black Folks. Right on!

Now, if I can just figure out how to tie my shoes all by myself. But if I can't, I know you libs are there for me. Fighting back tears of overwhelming gratitude, again, I thank you.

Cordially yours, you White Liberal Devils,

MDA To Host First-Ever Great Maryland Pumpkin Weigh-Off, Oct. 1

Farmers, Gardeners, All Pumpkin Growers Encouraged to Participate

ANNAPOLIS, MD (August 20, 2009) – Bring your biggest pumpkin to the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) on October 1 for the first-ever Great Maryland Pumpkin Weigh-off officiated by MDA's Weights and Measures Section. The only real rule in this contest is that the pumpkin has to be grown in Maryland by the person entering the contest. Farmers, backyard gardeners, and anyone else growing pumpkins is welcome at the weigh-off.

“MDA is excited to kick off the fall agri-tourism season with the first-ever Great Maryland Pumpkin Weigh-off. It will be a fun opportunity to highlight Maryland agriculture,” said Agriculture Secretary Buddy Hance. “October is the perfect time to celebrate agriculture by experiencing the fun of growing giant pumpkins, selecting your own pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns, getting lost in a corn maze, taking a hayride, or attending a fall festival, all while supporting Maryland farmers.”

The current record for Maryland was set in 2008 with a 713.5 pound giant pumpkin grown by Anthony Watson from Kensington. Montgomery County is the number one pumpkin-growing county in the state. In 2007, Maryland farmers produced 14.8 million pounds of pumpkins on 2,000 acres valued at over $5 million.

The weighing will be officiated by the MDA Weights and Measures Section. The official weighing will be conducted using an industrial strength, large capacity certified scale. Growers are responsible for bringing their entries to the weigh-off prior to the 11 a.m. start time. For large entries, pallets are recommended. The winner, determined by heaviest weight, will receive a commemorative award and incredible bragging rights.

Pumpkin growers interested in participating in the Great Maryland Pumpkin Weigh-off should contact Kate Mason, 410-841-5770 or MasonKB@mda.state.md.us, by September 28.

This buck let me walk up to him, about 15 feet away and take some pictures. I think it is the ones we have seen for the past few years eating our tomatoes etc.

His brother is much bigger and wont let me get too close yet. I think someone will kill them this year because they are too tame. They love to eat the apples from the tree close to him. I remember when they had spots on them. This is my back yard and he seems comfortable on the other side of the fence.

Salisbury News Provided 1,077 Articles In August

That's more articles in one month than we produced the entire year of 2006! I thought we were overwhelmed back then too! In 2007 we published a total of 1,509 articles for the entire year and everyone thought once Barrie Tilghman was gone we'd have nothing to write about.

Great things are coming for sbynews.com and we hope you're enjoying the information we're currently providing. Yeah, I know, some will try to say we're providing articles from other sources, and you're right, we are. We're providing what I think matches our every day lives across the globe but all of this is about growth and becoming better educated.

It also means WBOC, WMDT & The Daily Times are also under far more pressure to deliver you the kind of news and information you deserve to hear about. I can't help but mention the fact that when I watch their programs at 6:00 at night, pretty much everything we've provided can be seen that evening on the television news. Are they copying our work here, perhaps. But who can blame them. You'd have to be an Idiot not to recognize what we're talking about works.

Considering I have no journalistic background, isn't it interesting how I can pick the major topics of the day and the entire local MSM concurs. Onward and upward.

Quietly we go like sheep to slaughter.

Does anybody out there have any memory of the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY ..... During the Carter Administration?

Anybody?
Anything?
No?
Didn't think so!

Bottom line ... We've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency ...the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember.

Ready???????

It was very simple ..

And at the time everybody thought it very appropriate...
The 'Department of Energy' was instituted on
8-04-1977
TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE
ON FOREIGN OIL.

Hey, pretty efficient, huh?????

AND NOW IT'S 2009, 32 YEARS LATER ... AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS

NECESSARY DEPARTMENT
IS AT
$24.2 BILLION A YEAR

IT HAS

16,000
FEDERAL EMPLOYEES
AND APPROXIMATELY
100,000
CONTRACT EMPLOYEES

AND LOOK AT THE JOB IT HAS DONE!

THIS IS WHERE YOU
SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY
'WHAT WAS I THINKING?'

Ah, yes, good old bureaucracy...

And NOW _ we are going to turn the Banking System, Health Care & the Auto Industry over to government?

May God Help Us !!!

A Message To The Editor

I sent an E Mail to the Grapevine in regards to the fine print in their full page ad's.

They chose not to print it.

My complaint is this. The run a full page ad showing big savings and big deals in large print. At the bottom of the page in small print that can hardly be read with glasses and requires a lawyer to understand is all the conditions of the purchase. This is also true of TV ads and something should be done about this.

Hillbilly Mirror

After living in the remote wilderness of Kentucky all his life, an old hillbilly decided it was time to visit the big city. In one of the stores he picks up a mirror and looks in it. Not ever having seen one before, he remarked at the image staring back at him, 'How about that! Here's a picture of my daddy.'

He bought the mirror thinking it was a picture of his daddy, but on the way home he
remembered his wife didn't like his father, so he hung it in the barn, and every morning before leaving for the fields, he would go there and look at it.

His wife began to get suspicious of these many trips to the barn.

One day after her husband left, she searched the barn and found the mirror.
As she looked into the glass, she fumed, 'So that's the ugly girl he's running around with.'
