TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!!!!!!

Click on image to enlarge. Barrie does it all the time.

Two More weeks from today the biggest pain in the rear end I have ever personally dealt with will be out of Office. While many Anti Albero Bloggers have claimed I've had no influence whatsoever over this election, they couldn't be more wrong.

Salisbury News exposed Barrie Tilghman's every move and drove her right out of that Office. Just think, even a few days ago we exposed the fact that the Salisbury WWTP doesn't work, it's not going to work and while the Comegys/Tilghman group promised they would have answers the FIRST WEEK of April, it's now the second week and the Daily Times hasn't pressed for ANY answers. Gary Comegys and Barrie Tilghman are seriously full of crap and will say ANYTHING to get out of trouble.

That being said, the fact that Barrie is not running again clearly states that Salisbury News has had enough influence over this election to close the door from the worst 12 years anyone can ever remember in the history of Mayors running this City. So nice try guys but the game is over.

Jim Ireton will become the next Mayor of Salisbury and we will finally be free of the lies and we'll all enjoy open government and honesty. YOU just make sure you get everyone you know out there voting tomorrow because each and every vote seriously counts. Give Debbie Campbell and Cynthis Polk your vote as well and lets really make a difference. No more complaining. Take 30 minutes out of your day and VOTE!

Ignorant Council Member

Gary, do you treat your Wife like this at home. Better yet, do you treat ALL women like this? The title here is perfectly fitting.

Major Visits

I'm not exactly sure just what has brought this on but we're well on our way to a Record Day today.

I'm glad everyone has chosen this day to visit with the elections coming up tomorrow. Remember, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Thanks for visiting Folks and thanks for clicking so frequently on the videos we provided today. They really show BUBBA for who he really is. That fake West Virginia Step Child Fake Smile is only there for show and the real Gary Comegys was presented here today by his own doing.

Hey Chiefy, how's that paperwork coming along? Not to worry, I already have a pre post set to go once it's served, if Worcester County is stupid enough or foolish enough to go through with it. There's a BIG lawsuit coming down the pike Folks and you'll be hearing about it soon enough.

It's DONE! We've passed our record day! 326 published comments so far today at 10:00 pm too. How many have you had today that weren't your own Fat Man? One, maybe two?

INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT IN CARROLL CO INJURES ONE EMPLOYEE

(Sykesville, MD) – Maryland State Police were called this afternoon to the scene of an industrial accident in southern Carroll County that injured one employee and closed Liberty Road for about two hours.

The victim is identified only as a 27-year-old Baltimore man. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

Shortly after 2:00 p.m. today, Maryland State Police at the Westminster Barracks were called to Tobacco Tech Inc., 600 Liberty Road, Sykesville, for what was reported to be some type of an explosion. Troopers arrived and met personnel who had responded from the Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim was on his way to check a large tank in which methylene chloride was boiling as part of the process to make tobacco flavoring. When the employee was approximately 30-40 feet from the tank, pressure from the tank was released, apparently causing the lid to blow off. Fluid and vapors were expelled from the tank.

The employee apparently turned to run and as he was leaving the area, fell and struck his face on the concrete floor. The plant manager and another employee pulled him from the room and moved him outside. Responding emergency personnel treated the victim at the scene. He was flown by Maryland State Police helicopter, Trooper 1, to the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.

No one else was injured in the incident. Hazmat personnel washed down two other employees as a decontamination precaution.

As a safety precaution, responding troopers, with the assistance of State Highway Administration personnel and Carroll County sheriff’s deputies, closed Liberty Road at White Rock Road and Johnsville Road and diverted traffic around the scene. The roadway was reopened shortly before 4:00 p.m.

With the provision of a bus by the Carroll County Board of Education, troopers evacuated 55 children from the All About Kids Learning Center, located across the street from the scene. Occupants at the Athens Health Club, also located across the street, were encouraged to leave the area. The children were transported out of the immediate area and returned to the day care center at about 3:45 p.m.

Other departments that responded to assist included the Maryland Department of the Environment, the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal, and OSHA. The investigation is continuing.

ARMORED TRUCK OVERTURNS ON I-95 IN HOWARD COUNTY

Elkridge, MD) - Maryland State Police are continuing their investigation into a mid-morning crash on I-95 in Howard County involving a pickup truck and an armored truck that lost part of its load and sent two people to area hospitals.

The driver and passenger of the armored truck were injured as a result of the collision. The driver is identified as Charles A. Cavanaugh, 38, of the 12000-block Brandenton Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia. He was transported by ambulance to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries. The armored truck passenger is identified as Woldeab B. Gebeyehu, 44, of the 100-block North Ripley Street, Alexandria, Virginia. He was transported by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup is identified as Carl F. Schilling, Jr., 44, of the 600 block Miller Road, East Greenbush, New York. He was the sole occupant and not injured in the crash.
The preliminary investigation indicates that shortly after 9:00 a.m., Schilling, driving a 2008 Chevy Pickup pulling a utility trailer, was traveling in the second lane from the left on northbound I-95 at I-895 when he attempted to merge into lane number three. Mr. Cavanaugh observed the pickup truck attempting to change lanes directly into the path of his Loomis Company armored truck and attempted to take evasive action by steering to the right, but struck the trailer being pulled by the pickup truck.

After the armored truck struck the trailer, Cavanaugh lost control of the vehicle and overturned along the right roadside, causing the rear doors to come open and an undisclosed amount of United States quarters to fall from the armored vehicle. The remaining U.S. currency stayed in the vehicle. Troopers from the Waterloo, Glen Burnie and Golden Ring Barracks and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division responded and immediately secured the scene.

Personnel from the State Highway Administration and Loomis Company responded to assist with the incident. The money was transferred onto another Loomis Armored vehicle that responded to the scene. Loomis officials would not advise how much money was being transported at the time of the crash. All lanes of northbound I-95 reopened shortly after 1:00 p.m.

No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is being conducted by troopers from the Waterloo Barrack.

The investigation is continuing….

Salisbury Man Sentenced To 20 Years For Robbing A Fruitland Convenience Store With A Gun

On Thursday, April 2, 2009, 37-year-old Isaac Fields was found guilty of Armed Robbery, Robbery, 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Handgun in a Crime of Violence, 2nd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Handgun on a Person and sentenced to 20 years in the Division of Correction.

Assistant State’s Attorney Jennifer Rothschild says late on the night of August 24, 2008, Fields walked into the Eagle Express Mart in Fruitland, pulled a handgun out of his waistband, and demanded money from the clerk. Fields left the store with $968.00. Rothschild says nearly a month later, on September 23, 2008, Fields was apprehended at a traffic stop by Salisbury Police.

Assistant State’s Attorney Kristen Ross says, then on February 12, 2009, Fields was convicted of Felony Possession of a Handgun for the gun found on Fields during his September 23, 2008 arrest and sentenced to 5 years without parole.
Fields’ 20-year sentence for Armed Robbery is consecutive to the 5-year sentence for Felony Handgun Possession.

Both of these cases were a joint law enforcement effort of the Fruitland Police Department and the Salisbury Police Department.

Noise Ordinance

OK Salisbury University Students, you heard what Mr. Comegys said Wednesday night in the Mayoral Forum. Click on this video and then come back here and tell me what you think NOW.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. This man will say and do whatever it takes to become Mayor of Salisbury.

For those of you who couldn't attend Wednesday nights Mayoral Forum at SU, Mr. Comegys said the noise ordinance was about commercial vehicles making too much noise, like trash trucks.

However, I think Chief Webster and Gary Comegys make it VERY CLEAR what their intentions were. This video was taken the night they voted in the ordinance, clearly going after the Students.

ALL SU Students need to vote for Jim Ireton. He'll never lie to you. He's a good man and he deserves your vote. I don't know what other proof we can offer and I hope the word spread around campus about coming here to see this video because we deliver the facts, period.

Providing Fire & EMS Is Not Constitutionally Mandated In Salisbury

I know, let's build a $14,000,000.00 Fire Palace and buy $5,000,000.00 worth of Fire Trucks to boot. Yet we don't have to provide you service if we don't want to. So how do we supplement that Folks? Oh, that's right, Gary will figure it out for us AFTER we foot the bill. Bubba, Yo Nex Mare?

To ALL Salisbury University Students

To those of you who were at last nights Mayoral Forum who listened to Gary Comegys state this noise ordinance was not targeted towards College Students, watch this video. Then call the Mayor's Office today and ask just how many tickets have been given out to TRASH TRUCK making too much noise, as Gary said last night this new law was targeted towards. There are NONE. Gary is full of crap, period. That law was created to slam the college students and I have personally sat in several court rooms and watched these students get slammed with fines and having to hire lawyers like T.J. Maloney to represent them, 3, 4 & 5 kids at a time. The City is making a small fortune on this and that's all there is to it. VOTE for Jim Ireton!

T T T T T T TRUST ME????????

OK Folks, here's the video you want to see over and over again. Here's the guy who says it time and time again, "TRUST ME." How's it working for you Folks! How many years have passed since this taping and how far along is the old mall redevelopment coming?

T T T T T T TRUST ME! Listen to that radio interview again on the right hand side of the Blog where he goes on and on about the WWTP, T T T T T T TRUST ME! Gary Comegys history in the City of Salisbury is a joke. He never attends Zoo Commission Meetings. Look at their minutes and see for yourself. Do it QUICK too before they change those or pull them so they're not available any more. Better yet, before Barrie has them shreaded.

Blogger Claims Police Search Of Home Was A Threat

The Arizona Republic

Police officers accused of drunken driving. A female officer's alleged promiscuity and infidelity. A commander whose critics labeled his son a child molester.

Jeff Pataky said he uses negative complaints and anonymous tips to fuel his blogging crusade against Phoenix police. A headline on his Web site suggests rewards would be provided for "dirt" on police indiscretions.

Pataky, a former software sales and marketing executive who now focuses his energy shoveling content on www.badphoenixcops.com, said he believes his online criticism of the department - along with past criticisms of police investigations - led officers to serve a search warrant at his home last week.
Police officials said Wednesday that a Phoenix detective prompted the investigation after complaining about harassment, though they declined further comment.

Pataky said he felt the investigation was a response to a lawsuit he filed on Monday in U.S. District Court saying he was maliciously prosecuted by police in 2007 after his ex-wife accused him of harassment, a case later dropped. In his lawsuit he's asking for an unspecified amount for damages. City officials declined to comment on pending litigation.

Enough Is Enough!

This rally is not about the present candidates; this is about standing up and letting it be known that we, as citizens have had enough and we want it to stop now.

The intimidation, smear tactics and down right dirty politics has been going on every 2 years for the last 10 years and every election cycle it becomes progressively worse. We must put a stop to these tactics.

Sure, politics can get dirty but this, this is beyond dirty. When the elderly, single moms, people of lower income and college students, the most fragile of our community, are in fear of not being able to afford their homes or apartments due to outright lies, it is time to take a stand and let those responsible know we're not going to tolerate this type of behavior any longer. We have had enough.

We as Americans have a constitutional right to cast our vote for whomever we choose, without fear of retribution, retaliation or intimidation. People have lived in fear of retaliation from the Tilghman administration AND the special interests who have benefited from it for far too long. Citizens are afraid to stand up and speak against the wrongs. Afraid theyl lose their business. Afraid theyl be fined into debt for speaking out. We remember Brenda Cox.

Fear of retaliation, retribution and intimidation is the cause of many of our problems. It has gone on for too long and it has gone too far. We have had enough.

Enough is Enough!

Laurel Man Wanted For Assault

Ellendale – The Delaware State Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a 33-year-old Laurel man who is wanted in connection to an assault. Yesterday at approximately 9:50 pm, troopers responded to residence on New Hope Road in Ellendale after it was reported Dwayne A. Daniels forced entry into the 50-year-old male’s home and assaulted him.

The investigation revealed Daniels went to the home, forced entry by breaking through the front door, and proceeded to assault the victim by punching and biting him. The reason for Daniels presence at the home was that he was seeking the location of an ex-girlfriend and discovered she was with the homeowner.

The assault occurred in the midst of the 24-year-old ex-girlfriend and her two children ages four and three. Daniels is also the father of these children. As the assault was occurring, the woman called 911 prompting Daniels to flee the home. The victim sustained several abrasions, contusions and lacerations. He was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Arrest warrants have been obtained on Daniels for Burglary 1st degree (F), Assault 2nd degree (F), two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (M) and Criminal Mischief (M).

The Delaware State Police are currently seeking the whereabouts of Daniels and are asking for anyone who has information to contact investigators at Troop 7 at 302.644.5020 or Crime Stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333.

Dance Moves That Rock!

ToxicGate Continues

At the bottom of this story are three links going back to February 2008 where we broke some interesting news about the Wicomico Landfill and the runoff from their storm water management. We were ultimately told that everything they were doing was perfectly legal and confirmed through the MDE.

However, today we will expose new information in which the County did NOT expose to us at the time we were investigating this story, which seems very convenient. As it turns out, we're again told by Jim Finneran that what they are doing is perfectly legal and the MDE is aware of it. However, once again YOU have not been made aware of it and quite frankly I have spoken with the County Council and they are NOT aware of it.

The photos above are evidence of Wicomico County taking untreated "Garbage Juice" or better known as sludge directly from the Wicomico County Landfill, (Trash Mountain) pumping that "Garbage Juice" into a tanker and driving it all the way to the other end of Salisbury on Citation Drive, (near the Wicomico Humane Society) and dumping this untreated sludge directly into a sewer drain. They are bringing it out to a very private road in the middle of nowhere. The County is claiming that it allows the untreated "Garbage Juice" to be mixed with the rest of the sewage before it makes its way to the WWTP as it gets diluted.

Here's the catch. There are two lagoons at the Wicomico Landfill. They are filled to the maximum capacity. You would think the County would have built a new lagoon, (a third) but there's perhaps two problems with that. One is, perhaps the County can't afford to build another one and two is, perhaps there's not enough room at the Landfill. Both being said, there's a serious problem here. The Salisbury WWTP cannot handle the "Garbage Juice" being sent directly to the WWTP from its present location. They again claim it needs to be filtered with other sewage but it begs to question how the Landfill can be properly operated. If this was a Private Landfill, the MDE would be all over them and perhaps shutting them down? Mind you, the City no longer accepts sewage from companies that clean out septic tanks, so why can't they handle 36,000 gallons a day from the Landfill with their new system?

Private Companies like Perdue are forced to treat ALL of their water, no matter what it is or where it comes from. Jim Finneran again states that the MDE is aware of what they're doing and it's perfectly legal. OK, I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem with the fact that we also have a witness that has seen City Trucks with the City Logo on the cab of the truck driving back to that same area and dumping into the same drain.

You see, the problem I see is not necessarily the County, (although this all seems suspicious) it's the fact that the WWTP no longer has a Sludge Pit like they used to have to dump into whenever there's a large storm. Because the WWTP used to get overwhelmed every time the was a storm, they would drain the system and pump the sludge into the sludge pit. Now remember, storm water does NOT go into the WWTP, so I could never figure out why excessive rain had anything to do with any overflow there? Nevertheless, that was their excuse. Since the removal of the Sludge Pit, where is all of this overflow going now? My guess would be that they too are bringing any overflow all the way out to this location and dumping it into the sewer drain there, (7 miles or more away) and it slowly makes its way back to the WWTP. What's this costing the City taxpayers and or all of those people using the WWTP?

As far as the County is concerned it has been reported that there is at least one tanker that makes anywhere between 6 to 7 truck loads a day, seven days a week from the Landfill to this sewer drain 7 miles away, (or more) holding 6,000 gallons of "Garbage Juice" PER TRIP! Since I was not able to catch a City Tanker there today, I do have a source that has in fact seen tankers from the Salisbury WWTP dumping there as well. So we've got the City and County dumping questionable untreated material to the furthest point away from the WWTP in the hopes that when it's mixed with other sewage it somehow filters it and dilutes it?

Again, while the County states what they are doing is perfectly legal, (in which I do not doubt) it begs to question two things. Number one, since the storm water runoff goes directly to the River and not the WWTP, how can the Mayor and Gary Comegys state that the WWTP gets overloaded every time it rains? It reminds me of what Gary said today on the WMDT Forum when he said, the WWTP Upgrade is like trying to drive your car to Baltimore while changing the engine as you're driving along. Well Gary, first of all that's impossible. Second, just like I've told the Mayor in the past, that statement is just STUPID!

The second part that begs another question is, what will the environmentalists think about all of this? Corporations are forced to process ALL of their sludge no matter where it comes from. The County is processing very nasty runoff straight from Trash Mountain and NOT from the storm water lagoons. Every County Council Member I spoke to so far never had a clue this was going on. So much for open government. I'm confident the City's attitude is, what you don't know can't hurt you.

No matter how you look at it, if YOU are paying sewer fees with the City, YOU are paying for this material to be processed. I know Mr. Finneran stated that it's a wash and it very well could be. However, I'd like to see the details, wouldn't you?

What becomes even more clear to me about issues like this is, what else is going on that we don't know about? The ONLY way we're going to find out is if Jim Ireton is elected your new Mayor tomorrow. I'm confident that Gary Comegys would never expose such information. Heck, when I went to two of the City Council Members telling them there were 5 new Fire Trucks in the Budget they said, no there's not. I said, oh yes there is. They not only couldn't FIND it in the SFD Budget, they had to go to John Pick directly and ask him if this was true. Mr. Pick had to tell them the truth and walked them through where they were hidden, that's how good the Tilghman Administration was able to hide millions of dollars worth of equipment!

When Jim Ireton is elected and we see a Line Item Budget, one thing I can almost assure everyone is the fact that you will see millions of dollars freeing up. This is absolutely a necessity of everyone doesn't want to see a major tax increase VERY SOON!

So either the game is over and we're able to see some relief or the game continues and you fall deeper into debt with no accountability. Remember, many things are happening right in front of your face yet you were completely unaware of it. Right or wrong, good or bad, keeping matters like dumping toxic material down a man hole and perhaps overwhelming the WWTP is an expense to YOU, not the City or County. I say, business is business. Make the County pay for their processing and also make the City pay for all their dumping. Get it on the books because no matter what is said, YOU, (the people paying water and sewer fees) are ultimately paying for it and you take a minute and guess what it would cost YOU to dump this kind of toxic material into ANY sewer plant!!!!!

Again, these are the old stories we provided last year in which we feel on a day like today when there's more than usual rain, perhaps some of that run off is actually making it to the River and not into a tiny 6,000 gallon truck to be processed into the WWTP. Remember Folks, the Tilghman Administration wants you to believe all this rain is overloading their system, which is a complete line of crap. The storm water doesn't make it to the WWTP, it goes into the river instead. Now let Gary Comegys explain why they were regularly discharging overflows into the river now!

Illegal Aliens

Editor,

I've always believed that there were several reasons that our politicians refused to close off our Southern border to stop the flow of illegals into our country. One is that the illegal immigrants who work are cash cows of a sort in that most have taxes taken out of their pay and will never fill out a return to claim overpayments or collect Social Security. Another reason is that if ever they are given amnesty and ultimately permitted to vote, the politicians will claim their respective party is responsible for the amnesty and will do everything they can to convince these "new" voters that they are entitled to their votes.

As I was reading over my tax information and preparing to take my tax info to our accountant, I noticed on page two of IRS publication "New Wage Witholding and Advanced EIC Payment Tables" there is an interesting section starting on the left side. "Witholding Income Taxes on the Wages of Nonresident Alien Employees". This section actually instructs employers to withold taxes from the paychecks of Nonresident Aliens based on a HIGHER income than they actually make. And they include a table:

Weekly payroll - calculate their taxes based on $138.00 more than what they earned;

Bi-weekly - $276.00 more

Semi-monthly - $299.00

Monthly - $598.00 more

Quarterly - $1798.00

Semi-annually - $3590.00

This in no way effects what they actually earn but changes dramatically what they bring home. It doesn't effect their tax liability but would increase greatly the amount of any refund - if they file a tax return. These numbers do not affect Social Security Witholdings.

Here's my question. How many of these "Nonresident Aliens" actually file a return? 2%? 5%? 10%? Can you imagine the amount of additional money the government is collecting using this method? How about Social Security? 15.3% of earnings of "Nonresident Aliens" go into the fund with almost none collected by those earning the money (except for half of the 15.3% which is contributed by employers which comes from employers earnings).

Our government is using these "Nonresident Aliens", whether or not they are here legally, as a method of collecting even more tax revenue.

For those of you who think that most employers pay illegals in cash, I would urge you to go to the bank on a friday evening and notice how many of the people there cashing paychecks likely fit into the "Nonresident Alien" category. I think it's safe to say that a HUGE number of "Nonresident Aliens" are illegal - like it or not. Call me what you will, only a fool ignores what's right in front of his face.

Point is that our elected officials are taking advantage of the ignorance of "Nonresident Aliens" regardless of their status and this is yet more proof that there is an ulterior motive for NOT stopping the tide of illegal immigrants flowing into this country. It doesn't matter that over 80% of the people in this country want to stop illegal immigrants from coming into this country - the government will not stop it due to the money it brings in revenue.

Baltimore County Seeks To Strengthen Rental Laws

Communities say occupancy limits are being circumvented
By Mary Gail Hare
April 6, 2009

Prompted by complaints of irresponsible landlords and tenants, the Baltimore County Council is scheduled to vote Monday on strengthening the law governing rooming and boarding houses.

The proposal would eliminate the ability of absentee landlords to circumvent zoning regulations by creating limited liability corporations giving tenants a small share of ownership. Rules limiting the number of unrelated tenants in a house to two don't apply to owners. Residents say the practice is especially a problem in neighborhoods near college campuses.

It's Time To Reach Out And Support Jesi Simpson

Good Morning Joe,

I was wondering if we could post something on your site to make everyone aware that a wonderful and loving family is in need of some support, love and HELP!! 15 year old Jesi Simpson was diagnosed with Leukemia about two weeks ago. He was able to come home from John Hopkins for about 1 day but has returned since and will be there for some time. At Riverside and Milford Street Pharmacies we are selling Assorted Candy bars and Old Towne Candles, so far we have been able to give the family some assistance with food etc. This week, April 6-10 we will be having a bake sale at both locations as well.

We are looking for different companies to donate food items so that we can have a Chicken BBQ in a few weeks. If anyone is willing to help please call me, Christina @ 443-880-1963

Please Keep Jesi and his family in your thoughts and prayers!!!

The Truth Behind Pulling The New Ladder Truck Out Of Service

Even though some Firefighters got on her and lied about why the new Ladder Truck was pulled out of service, the truth is that another driver hit a light pole or telephone pole with the rear bumper and did some serious damage. Enough to pull it out of service anyway. To those Firefighters thinking they can get away with claims like it was pulled for service work, we will find the truth and it will get exposed. That being said, do you really want to continue to cover things up and lie to the public?

Rt. 50 Drawbridge

"Joe,

I am relatively new to your site but must say I enjoy the realism of your reporting. I was wondering if you have ever covered the drawbridge(s) and their inopportune openings(6:00 PM Friday?), but more importantly the malfunctions that always seem to occur. The best case scenario is you are only stuck for 30 minutes. As was the case of last thursday the bridge gates get stuck down. After 40 minutes of maneuvering to get out of the mess the thing was still stuck. The most concerning part of this ordeal was the ambulance that was coming through the traffic only to get stuck at the bridge. It took at least 10 minutes to get turned around and potentially could have been the difference between life and death. Now I understand things go wrong and break. However, I have seen 3 different instances recently with this bridge either being stuck in the air or with the arms being stuck down. Who are the morons in charge of this bridge and why can't they fix it correctly?

Keep up the good work."

Thanks to the Bridge not being up 99.9% of the times Comegys, you have to be wrong. I mean, if Gary Comegys and Chief see say that this is just about impossible, you must be wrong, right? NOT! ANOTHER reason to vote for Jim Ireton. He doesn't have to LIE to the Public to get a project sold and then come back later and make excuses. Thanks for sharing.

AFP Kick OFF

Over 50 AFP-Maryland supporters attended the chapter kickoff press conference at Lawyers Mall demanding accountability from their elected officials and less government intrusion into their daily lives. National President Tim Phillips took the time to talk to everyone in attendance before and after the conference.

Cookie Kiser, owner of the famous "City Line Diner" on Ft. Smallwood Rd, stole the show. As an entrepreneur, single mother, and employer of 30, Cookie lamented about the future of Maryland if we continue down the current path of large deficits and an even larger government. Higher taxes and more government interference will force her to layoff employees, and may even force her to close shop permanently.

Americans For Prosperity Maryland thanks everyone who attended the kickoff and for a great start!

Maryland still needs your help! Together we can reaffirm and promote the fundamental principles that our Country were founded on. The principles of limited government and free market benefits each and every Tax Paying Citizen of Maryland.

Redneck Pregnant Couple

An Alabama couple, both bonified rednecks, named 'Bubba' and 'Bubbie-Sue' had 9 children. They went to the doctor to see about getting the husband 'fixed'. The doctor gladly started the required procedure and asked them what finally made them make the decision. Why after nine children would they choose to do this?

Bubba replied that they had read in a recent article that one out of every ten children being born in the United States was Mexican, and they didn't want to take a chance on having a Mexican baby because neither of them could speak Spanish.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH - TODAY IS THE DAY

Sent in by another loyal reader.

I received this tonight and thought you would want to share it with your readers. Thanks.

If you are tired of the voter intimidation and scare tactics that surface every two years during city elections please, join us Monday at 10:00 a.m. for a peaceful demonstration in front of the GOB.

This is about the scare tactics and intimidation of voters that has been allowed to progress over the years. It is about our constitutional rights as citizens of the United States to cast our vote without fear of retaliation from anyone. This is about YOU.

Sure, politics can get dirty but this, this is beyond dirty. When the elderly, single moms, college students, and low income families, the most fragile of our community, is in fear of not being able to afford their homes or apartments due to outright lies, it is time to take a stand and let those responsible know we're not going to tolerate this type of behavior any longer. We have had enough.

This has been going on every 2 years for the last 10 years and every year it gets worse. We must put a stop to these tactics.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Please join us.

Editors note: It looks like more than a few citizens have been pushed over the edge by the recent low down, dirty tricks played by SAPOA and the Comegys camp.
