Trump Hits Back At China With 30% Tariffs On $250 Billion Of Chinese Goods
President Donald Trump retaliated against China’s Friday announcement that it is increasing tariffs on U.S. goods by increasing tariffs to as much as 30% on $250 billion of Chinese goods.
The tariffs will be implemented on Oct. 1 on top of an additional 15% tariff on $300 billion of Chinese goods set to go into effect on Sept. 1 that was originally set at 10%.
“For many years China (and many other countries) has been taking advantage of the United States on Trade, Intellectual Property Theft, and much more. Our Country has been losing HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS a year to China, with no end in sight,” Trump said in a series of Twitter posts.

Texas Firm Claims To Have Developed The "Holy Grail" Of Electric Motors
A Texas-based company recently raised $4.5 million in seed funding to develop and commercialize a revolutionary motor that produces more torque, double the power, and increases range in an electric vehicle versus one using a typical electric motor.
Linear Labs has big claims for its Hunstable Electric Turbine (HET), is expected to perform much better than conventional electric motors found on a Tesla or any other electric vehicle.
Vehicles with HET motors will eliminate transmission systems, will increase range by more than 10% from a current battery size while allowing the vehicle to have more power and torque.

Vietnam Vet's Death Ruled Homicide Amid Investigation into Deaths at VA Hospital
A Ritchie County woman says her father was one of about 10 patients who died at the Veterans Affairs medical center in Clarksburg after they were wrongfully injected with insulin by a person who is known to federal administrators through an investigation into the deaths.
A deputy medical examiner with the U.S. Department of Defense ruled the death of Felix "Kirk" McDermott a homicide during an investigation by the VA Inspector General's Office into the suspicious deaths of patients at the Louis A. Johnson VA Hospital, according to a statement of claim submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
Investigators for Veterans Affairs have identified a person of interest in the case, but they have not disclosed the identity of that person to McDermott's family, and no criminal charges have been filed in the case, according to the claim.

Hasbro Has a New 'Monopoly: Socialism' Game and Socialists Are Not Happy
A few weeks ago, my wife and I took a deep breath and then reluctantly replied "sure" to our kids' request that we play Monopoly for family game night. As most of us can attest, Monopoly requires a level of commitment that no family game night should require, and it's not really that fun to begin with. Hasbro's new "Monopoly: Socialism," though, sounds like a hoot and a great way to continue to teach my kids why socialism is for the math-, economics-, and history-challenged among us.
Sadly, I have been completely unaware of this new game that mocks socialism as only a brilliant capitalist company can. It was only after stumbling across a Twitter thread composed by a deeply offended socialist that "Monopoly: Socialism" entered my consciousness. So, thank you, Twitter and upset socialist dude.
Since I apparently harbor some socialist tendencies in my own heart, I want to share this with you. Of course, the capitalist in me recognizes that I will be helping a business make money on the free market. Maybe I should submit Hasbro a bill for my advertising services. Frankly, I would settle for nothing more than a free copy of "Monopoly: Socialism," because, as I'm sure you'll agree after reading the unintentionally funny tweets below, the game sounds awesome!

One Quarter of Germans Now Come From Migrant Backgrounds
The number of migrant-background residents in Germany has reached a new all-time high at 25.5 percent of the population, and a significant 42 per cent of young children in Germany are of migrant backgrounds.
The new statistics come from a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office this week which states there are now 20.8 million German residents who come from migrant backgrounds, defined by having at least one parent born overseas, Kronen Zeitung reports.
Of those 20.8 million, just over half, or 52 percent, hold a German passport, with the other 48 percent being citizens of foreign countries.
The report states that 13.5 million German residents are immigrants and found that that main motivation for moving to the country, which was seen in 48 percent of cases, was family reunification, also known as chain migration.

These 2020 Democrats Are Now Basically Running 'Zombie' Campaigns
WASHINGTON — Call it The Great Purge.
Democrats have until Aug. 28 cutoff to qualify for the next presidential debate, and more than half the field is at risk of being left out. That could be fatal for already-wounded campaigns that could be pushed from the campaign altogether if they don’t find the 130,000 donors and four qualifying polls where they’ve hit at least 2% support in early-voting states.
“The debates ... they're pretty much the only thing that matters,” said GOP strategist Alex Conant, who was a senior adviser on Sen. Marco Rubio’s (R-Fla.) 2016 campaign.
Conant said any politicians who stick around after failing to qualify for the debates “immediately become zombie candidates. Maybe they stay in the race but they won’t get media coverage, money or have any plausible path to the nomination.”

Trump says US businesses are 'ordered' to find alternatives to China trade
President Trump on Friday directed all U.S. businesses to immediately find alternative sources for any goods they were importing from China. The comments came in response to China's announcement earlier in the day that it was enacting additional tariffs on $75 billion worth of U.S. goods.
"Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA," Trump tweeted, adding, "I will be responding to China’s Tariffs this afternoon."
It was not clear from the tweets what precisely Trump meant by "ordered" or how he intended to enforce this directive. Nor did he offer any details on what the planned response to China's tariffs response would be.

JOHN SOLOMON: Comey Would Not Give Investigators Access to “Highly Classified” Evidence in Hillary Clinton Email Investigation
According to a staff memo updating Senators Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Johnson (R-WI), James Comey failed to review highly classified evidence in Hillary Clinton’s email investigation.
Even worse, Comey would not give investigators access to the evidence even though they needed it to resolve important questions related to Hillary Clinton’s private server.
Senate investigators have wanted answers on this for over a year and the FBI is still stonewalling.
To add to the frustration, Attorney General Bill Barr still has not responded to a classified letter previously written by Grassley and Johnson addressing this issue.
John Solomon said the evidence, which may have been found on Hillary’s server, was so highly classified that only a small amount of ‘special’ people have been able to view it in a SCIF [Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility].

Elizabeth Warren is sorry...that she was caught
After her non-apology apology to American Indians for co-opting their ancestry for her own benefit, blonde, blue-eyed, high-cheekboned person of white color Massachusetts senator LieawathaPocahontas (D), law professor and wealthy woman now using the American name Elizabeth Warren, is changing again.
Arrogantly assuming that a speck of DNA and her high cheekbones would prove her outrageous claims to American Indian minority group affiliation, thus bypassing meritocracy for victimhood to get ahead, she took a genetic test to back up her claims. Her DNA tests proved that, like all humans, she had more common DNA with chimpanzees, but for some reason, she never tried to grease her way up the professional pole with that identity. And the American Indians, including the Cherokees whom she tribally, genetically, culturally appropriated, not accepting DNA as proof of tribal membership, forcefully rejected her as a relative.
The chimpanzees refused to comment about such a lying individual who shares some of their DNA.

Son of late Maj. Brent Taylor gets special tour of Air Force Two
SALT LAKE CITY — When Vice President Mike Pence stepped off Air Force Two on Wednesday, 10-year-old Alex Taylor was waiting on the tarmac — alongside his mother, Jennie, and Gov. Gary Herbert — in a gray suit too warm for the blazing early evening sun.
Alex, the son of the late Utah National Guard Maj. Brent Taylor, who was killed in an insider attack on a Kabul, Afghanistan, training center in November 2018, described being part of the welcoming party and meeting the vice president as “really cool” as he clutched a commemorative Air Force Two coin he’d received as a gift.
His mother’s voice cracked with emotion as she spoke about meeting Pence.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham ‘Disgusted’ by Antisemitism from New York Times Editor
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham told Breitbart News she is “disgusted” by the racism and antisemitism displayed by New York Times politics editor Tom Wright-Piersanti, as revealed in a Breitbart News expose published on Thursday morning.
“I am disgusted but not surprised by this latest revelation out of the New York Times,” Grisham said in a statement provided exclusively to Breitbart News. “Will there be consequences? Doubtful. The New York Times is too busy weaponizing journalism to harass this President and the people who work for him to bother holding their own people accountable.”
Grisham’s comments come in response to a Breitbart News expose that found Wright-Piersanti, an editor on the politics desk at the Times, made a number of racist and antisemitic comments on Twitter over the years. In response to the Breitbart News investigation, Wright-Piersanti deleted several of the tweets and issued an apology for his “offensive” comments.

Irresponsible Dem Attacks on ICE Inspire Violence by Domestic Terrorists
“Some prominent Democrats have declared war on the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency (ICE), threatening the lives of federal officials in order to advance a radical political agenda and a policy of open borders,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd writes for Fox News.
In the past month alone, there have been four attacks on ICE employees and facilities.
“Unfortunately, Democrats and their media enablers routinely downplay left-wing violence – and in some cases actively encourage it. Instead of condemning the attacks, leading Democrats and much of the mainstream media have acted as though they never happened. This is an intolerable dereliction of duty, especially on the part of the supposed ‘guardians of democracy’ in the press.”

Pelosi again brakes Democrats on impeachment: 'The public isn’t there yet'
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is still a hard “no” on impeachment.
Even though more than half of House Democrats have lined up in support of launching a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump, the California Democrat isn’t backing it.
She told her Democratic caucus in a Friday conference call that the voting public doesn’t support impeaching the president and that is who she will listen to on the subject.

NBC News: “Heterosexuality Is Just Not Working’
Women are increasingly opting out of heterosexuality because it is “the bedrock of their global oppression,” NBC News asserted in a bizarre opinion piece this week.
“Men need heterosexuality to maintain their societal dominance over women,” writes Marcie Bianco for the NBC News website. “Women, on the other hand, are increasingly realizing not only that they don’t need heterosexuality, but that it also is often the bedrock of their global oppression.”
Ms. Bianco lumps together a series of recent news stories, “from Jeffrey Epstein to the Dayton and El Paso mass shooters, to Miley Cyrus’s separation and Julianne Hough’s declaration that she’s ‘not straight,’” which, she says, “together have laid bare the strictures of an American patriarchy on the edge of a nervous breakdown.”
“As the status quo, heterosexuality is just not working,” she concludes, before explaining just how evil men are and how women are learning to live without them.

Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg has treatment for cancerous tumor
Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg recently completed three weeks of radiation treatment after doctors found a localized cancerous tumor on her pancreas.
Ginsburg's radiation therapy, which was conducted at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, began August 5 days after the tumor was confirmed to be malignant, according to a statement from the Supreme Court. The treatment included the insertion of a stent in Ginsburg's bile duct. Doctors have concluded that there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in her body.
The court said she “tolerated the treatment well.”

Ethnic Studies’ Latest Ploy to Brainwash Kids
President Donald Trump told a rally last week: “We are all Americans. We all share the same home. We all share the same heart.” He cautioned that “the radical Democrats are trying to tear this country apart” with their divisive identity politics.
Warning to parents: Left-wing activists are using these same divisive tactics to target your kids’ schools and co-opt their young minds.
Across the country, leftists are demanding that public schools teach “ethnic studies.” Don’t be fooled by the title. Many of these courses demonize America’s past, label whites as oppressors, and convert students into “social justice organizers.”

'Academic espionage': China suspected of flooding U.S. with students to access sensitive programs
America’s plan to catch China in the race to deploy super-fast hypersonic weapons may begin in college classrooms.
Academic leaders, lawmakers, and military and intelligence officials say Washington needs to take a harder look at the number of Chinese who come to the U.S. to study engineering, aeronautics, astronautics, quantum mechanics and other fields that have direct connections to national security.
The massive influx of Chinese students in recent years, they say, has led directly to Beijing’s advantage in the development of hypersonics and other cutting-edge technology — though U.S. officials say privately that it’s difficult, if not impossible, to track individual cases of students gaining specific insights in a given area and then taking that knowledge back home.
The issue of China’s “academic espionage” raises delicate questions about discrimination and academic freedom, and the education and military sectors have struggled to strike the right balance between protecting classified research and attracting the diverse, international student base prized by top universities.
Academic leaders say Washington needs to lead the way in developing a comprehensive strategy to counter China’s long-term efforts to use America’s institutions for its own gain. Relying on individual professors or universities to police themselves, scholars say, is ineffective.

REPORT: TRUMP PREPARING EXECUTIVE ORDER TO LET STATES REFUSE REFUGEES
Is President Trump returning to form on immigration?
The White House is preparing an executive order that would allow state and local jurisdictions to deny entry to refugees even if they have been approved for settlement by the federal government, according to a draft of the policy obtained by NBC News.
The draft features language stating that “the federal government will resettle refugees only where both the relevant state and local governments have consented to participate.”
Under the order, the federal government would have to find another location for refugees if the jurisdiction in question does not agree to take them in. An exception would be made for the resettling of spouses or children of those already settled.

AOC's constituents may struggle to talk to an actual human when they call her offices: 'She has no plans to serve the people'
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) is the least accessible representative in New York City, with her Washington, D.C., and her New York City offices utilizing filtering systems that prevent callers from speaking to an actual person, according to the New York Post.
The Post called the offices of each of the 13 lawmakers representing New York City, and all the offices of each of those lawmakers had a person answering the phone — except Ocasio-Cortez's offices. A congressional Democratic aide accused Ocasio-Cortez of not caring about her constituents.
"She has no plans to serve the people. That's why she has no constituent services operation," the aide told The Post. "If you're a grandma in Queens who needs help with her Medicare and you call AOC's 'district office' you get a recording that tells you to visit the website instead. What kind of elitist nonsense is that? Shameful, it's all shameful."

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'
It is the poor who habitually elect Democrats ... yet they are still POOR.
Part III:
"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." ~ Abraham Lincoln
"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the government take care of him had better take a much closer look at the American Indian." ~ Henry Ford

Obamas Strike Blow for Economic Justice, Donate Millions in Exchange for Massive Beachfront Estate
Celebrity authors Barack and Michelle Obama are striking a blow for social, economic, and climate justice, vowing to donate an undisclosed eight-figure sum to Boston Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck in exchange for his massive beachfront estate on Martha's Vineyard, the luxury island vacation spot popular with Northeastern elites, boat-shoed bon vivants, and other rich freaks who use "summer" as a verb and donate to Pete Buttigieg.
The 29-acre property, which includes a 7,000-square-foot main house with seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and two guest wings, is listed at $14.85 million—well within the Obamas' price range after signing a "high eight-figure" production deal with Netflix, in addition to a joint book deal reportedly worth $65 million. There's also an outdoor pool and fireplace, balcony jacuzzi, chef's kitchen, and a private boathouse.
