The Internet Is Going Photoshop Crazy Over Kim Jong-un Bending Over
I don’t mean to alarm you while you’re tucking into your leftover laden sandwich, but Viral Thread have some breaking North Korea news that needs to be shared with the world.
Kim Jong-un has… bent over.
The warmongering North Korean dictator was caught in the interesting position while inspecting the firmness of a mattress, and the internet loved it. Much like we saw with Kate Upton doing squats recently, the users of the web love to poke fun at a famous figure whenever they get the chance.
It all started with this harmless photo, but it escalated pretty quickly…

House Armed Services chairman wants Defense Department to start failing
House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry (R-Texas) is focusing on experimentation and prototyping for his next iteration of Defense acquisition reforms.
That includes building a culture within the Defense Department that is OK with small failures.
Along with acquisition reforms, Thornberry said Jan. 13 his committee will look into military health care in 2016 and consider the reorganization of the National Security Council.
Thornberry’s committee is expected to release the language for the 2017 Defense authorization bill in the spring. The bill sets parameters for Defense spending and defines policy priorities for the coming years.

Three Philadelphia Election Officials Plead Guilty to Voter Fraud Charges
Three election officials in Philadelphia pleaded guilty on Wednesday to charges of violating the commonwealth’s election laws, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
The three officials, Robin Trainor, Laura Murtaugh, and Cheryl Ali avoided felony fraud charges with the plea deal, which got them off with just one year of probation and the loss of their voting privileges for four years.
The charges stem from illegal election activity committed by the officials during elections in 2014 and 2015. Two of the election officials, Trainor and Murtaugh, worked together to register multiple illegitimate votes during a primary election last year.

Comptroller Franchot Warns Maryland Taxpayers of Tax Phone Scams
Taxpayers Advised Not to Respond to Suspicious Calls
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (January 13, 2016) – With the 2016 tax filing season under way, Comptroller Peter Franchot wants to remind taxpayers to safeguard their personal information by being alert to phone solicitation scams aimed at getting their money and personal information.
The Comptroller’s Office recently received calls from concerned taxpayers about receiving phone calls from someone claiming to work for the State of Maryland. These scammers tell taxpayers they owe large sums of money, demand payment and threatened police arrest if the callers don’t comply.
“I want to assure taxpayers that phone calls like this are scams. The Comptroller’s Office does not initiate phone calls or emails asking for confidential information, demanding money or Personal Identification Numbers (PINs),” Comptroller Franchot said. “If you get a phone call like this, please call 1-800-MD-TAXES or email my office at mdcomptroller@comp.state.md.us and let us know about it as soon as possible.”
The Real Price of Oil Is Far Lower Than You Realize
While oil prices flashing across traders’ terminals are at the lowest in a decade, in real terms the collapse is even deeper.
West Texas Intermediate futures, the U.S. benchmark, sank below $30 a barrel on Tuesday for the first time since 2003. Actual barrels of Saudi Arabian crude shipped to Asia are even cheaper, at $26 -- the lowest since early 2002 once inflation is factored in and near levels seen before the turn of the millennium.
Slumping prices are a critical signal that the boom in lending in China is “unwinding,” according to Adair Turner, chairman of the Institute for New Economic Thinking.
Slowing investment and construction in China, the world’s biggest energy user, is “sending an enormous deflationary impetus through to the world, and that is a significant part of what’s happening in this oil-price collapse,” Turner, former chairman of the U.K. Financial Services Authority, said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.

RBS Warns Investors of 'Cataclysm': 'Sell Everything'
The Royal Bank of Scotland reportedly has advised clients to brace for a “cataclysmic year” and a global deflationary crisis, warning that major stock markets could fall by a fifth and oil may plummet to $16 a barrel.
The bank’s credit team said markets are flashing stress alerts akin to the turbulent months before the Lehman crisis in 2008, the UK Telegraph explains.
“Sell everything except high quality bonds. This is about return of capital, not return on capital. In a crowded hall, exit doors are small,” the bank, also known as RBS, said in a client note.

Ireland’s Brehon Laws were way ahead of their time
Brehon Law is the body of ancient native Irish law which was generally operational in Gaelic areas until the completion of the English conquest of Ireland in the early 17th century. They were first set down on parchment in the 7th century and were named after wanderings lawyers, the Brehons.
By the time of Elizabeth I, the Brehon laws were considered to be old, lewd, and unreasonable. They were banned and English common law was introduced. However, thankfully, some of the Brehons thought to hide the precious manuscripts and a good number of them survived.
In 1852, two Irish scholars, Eugene O'Curry and John O'Donovan, took to translating the laws. In the words of another Irish scholar, D. A. Binchy, what they found were "secrets" about Ireland's past.

University reviewing study touting company’s chocolate milk
NEW YORK (AP) — A study by the University of Maryland touting the benefits of a small company’s chocolate milk is raising concerns about the potential conflicts-of-interest that can arise when food makers collaborate with schools on such efforts.
Late last month, the university fired off a press release declaring that a preliminary study showed that Fifth Quarter Fresh’s milk helped improve the cognitive and motor functions of high school football players, even after suffering concussions. The announcement raised red flags because the details of the full study were not made available.
The focus on a specific product also seemed to underscore the problems that can arise with research involving commercial entities. Although collaborations with food and beverage makers are not unusual in the academic world, some health advocates say they come with inherent conflicts-of-interest that can contribute to public confusion about nutrition.

United Methodist Church Blacklists 5 Israeli Banks
The United Methodist Church has banished five Israeli banks from a list of financial institutions it will no longer do business with citing human rights violations.
The church's pension board said it will no longer invest with Bank Leumi, Bank Hapoalim, First International Bank of Israel, Israel Discount Bank or Bank Mizrahi-Tefahot, The New York Times reports.
Israeli banks lend money for settlement construction "in what most of the world considers illegally-occupied Palestinian territories," The Times said.
The newspaper reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel described the divestments as a campaign to destroy Israel.

Frederick Couple Claims $1M Powerball Prize
It wasn't until well after they woke up this morning that Kathryn and Ricardo realized they were $1 million richer.
The Frederick couple (who didn't want Maryland Lottery officials to share their last names) matched five numbers in the ticket they bought at the Wawa there on Urbana Pike. Two other Maryland stores also sold winning tickets.
When Kathryn, 34 went into work Thursday morning, she mentioned she was going to toss the ticket since there were no jackpot winners in Maryland. A coworker, however, mentioned the million-dollar ticket sold at the Wawa.

Indiana Gov. Pence Vows to Protect Religious Freedom
Indiana Republican Gov. Mike Pence is signaling he'll be taking the side of protecting religious rights over those for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender residents – a tactic that's drawing both praise and scorn.
"I will not support any bill that diminishes the religious freedom of Hoosiers or that interferes with the constitutional rights of our citizens to live out their beliefs in worship, service or work," Pence said in his Tuesday State of the State speech, IndyStar.com reports.
The governor, facing re-election, asserted Indiana is already "an open and welcoming state that respects everyone" and said he believes "that no one should be harassed or mistreated because of who they are, who they love, or what they believe."
"And no one should ever fear persecution because of their deeply held religious beliefs," he added later, the news site reported.

O’Malley qualifies to participate in NBC Democratic debate
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley will join the other Democratic candidates in the next presidential debate, scheduled for Sunday in Charleston, South Carolina.
NBC News, host of the event, announced Thursday that O’Malley will debate alongside former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who are locked in a narrow race in Iowa and New Hampshire.
O’Malley was at risk of being excluded based on criteria released last week by the network requiring a candidate to have an average of 5 percent either in recent national polls or in polls in the early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire or South Carolina. O’Malley has been polling at about 5 percent in Iowa, but is falling short of that in New Hampshire, South Carolina, and in national surveys.

Stanford Prof. Deletes Data From Study Showing Green Energy Will Kill Jobs
A Stanford professor is deflecting criticism after allegedly deleting data from a year-old study in order to avoid inadvertently showing how green energy will kill millions of long-term jobs.
Prof. Mark Jacobson rebuked criticisms brought by Steve Everley of Energy In Depth, an oil industry-backed education project, that the Stanford study showed that using 100 percent green energy would result in 1.2 million jobs being eliminated from the economy.
Jacobson said Everley’s claim was a “flat out lie” and relied on “faked data.”
Everley’s claim was based on data taken from Jacobson’s own research, but when Everley went back to show the Stanford professor that the proof was in his own study, he found the data was gone — Jacobson had deleted it just hours after Everley exposed the job loss numbers.
“On his website, Dr. Jacobson houses a number of supporting documents for his research on a 100 percent renewables transition, including a Microsoft Excel file that shows everything from assumptions about levelized costs of electricity to jobs estimates and energy demand projections,” Everley wrote Wednesday of Jacobson’s data showing green energy would kill jobs.
“But now the spreadsheet on Dr. Jacobson’s website no longer shows a loss of ‘Net Long Term Jobs,’” Everley wrote. “In fact, the highlighted column has been deleted from the document entirely.”

State Department Finds New Records in Clinton FOIA Litigation
Judicial Watch announced on Monday that the Obama State Department recently found “thousands” of new records from Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State.
According to information provided to Judicial Watch by various Justice Department attorneys, the new documents appear be “working” records in electronic format located on both “shared” and “individual” drives accessible to or used by persons identified as being relevant to Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits on the Benghazi scandal and controversies from Clinton’s term at State. The State Department confirmed the new find in a court filing late this past Friday in a FOIA lawsuit concerning records about Clinton aide Huma Abedin:
After State filed its motion for summary judgment in this case [on November 11, 2015], State located additional sources of documents that originated within the Office of the Secretary that are reasonably likely to contain records responsive to Plaintiff’s request. State has informed Plaintiff that it intends to search these locations, produce non-exempt portions of any responsive records, and file a supplemental declaration in support of its motion for summary judgment (which is presently stayed).
The State Department seeks at least until February 1 to provide additional information about these new records.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton made the following statement in response to the new disclosures:

Air Force Caves, Agrees To Delay A-10 Retirement
The Air Force is indefinitely doing away with its plan to retire the A-10 jet, a move that seems both inevitable and shocking, given the aggressive steps leadership has taken to get rid of the aircraft and the fierce push back they received in response.
The remarkably high demand for A-10s from commanders is almost universally cited among critics of the A-10 decommissioning process. More details will be available when the Pentagon’s 2017 budget plan to keep the bird is sent over to Congress for consideration.

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” –Article II, Section 1, Constitution of the United States, 1787
I sure am glad that this will be my final analysis and rebuttal of a Barack Obama State of the Union address. I have endured every word of his rambling rhetoric so you did not have to suffer through it.
Obama would not have been around to deliver this speech had he not lied about al-Qa'ida and Benghazi in 2012, having centered his whole campaign on his foreign policy “successes.” The only person more surprised by Obama’s re-election victory than he was would be Mitt Romney, who assumed he had it won, but could not pull it off because he failed to connect with grassroots conservatives.
So Obama was given four more years to continue his “fundamental transformation” of America, starting with converting the once-noble Democrat Party into the Socialist Democratic Party, and stacking it and his administration with legions of “useful idiots.”
“Socialist”? Some might suggest that is too strident. But I note that in a recent interview, Democrat National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was asked the difference between “Democrat” and “Socialist,” and she could not articulate the distinction. Last week, Hillary Clinton, Obama’s heir apparent despite her record of malfeasance, was asked the same question and was unable to make any distinction.
Oh, and on the subject of Clinton, I should also note here that she is at substantial risk of federal indictments related to her malfeasance, including an expanded investigation into the Clinton Foundation, and that Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren stand ready as Demo convention wild cards.

A Viewer Writes: Response to Crowe Editorial
Here are some thoughts in response to Mr. Crowe's editorial, which I felt were somewhat misguided. As a Salisbury News reader, I respect the views of others and appreciate a fair, open debate. At the same time, there are parts that I believe need clarification.
Fact: Salisbury's housing stock is approximately 70% rental. This is one of the most disproportionate ratios in the State, and nearly double the State average for similarly situated municipalities.
Opinion: Under the circumstances, landlords provide an essential service to the City. The alternative is blight, followed thereafter by crime. Take a trip to West Baltimore or Detroit and see what happens to communities where there is no investment from landlords in properties. If the landlords leave, or cannot make a profit, no one is going to fill that void. Keep in mind landlords are the ones maintaining and investing in these properties, not government. If you have no interest in going to West Baltimore or Detroit, take a look at north Smith Street in Salisbury. 20 years ago these relatively large homes were rented to college students and fairly well maintained. The City pushed out college students. Now you cannot pass through during the day without fearing for your safety.
Fact: Salisbury currently prohibits "not more than two unrelated people" from living in certain residential districts (all of which are within close proximity to Salisbury University). There are a minority of properties that have been "grandfathered" and are allowed to have as many as four unrelated persons. Very few of these grandfathered properties, if any, are currently occupied by college students.
Opinion: The idea that college students are "crammed" into residences around SU is simply not true. In fact, it is the opposite-the current statute does not take into consideration the size of residence or bedroom. In other words, a landlord owning a massive, multi-room home on Camden Avenue may rent to two unrelated students. The only people "crammed" in would be families or related persons. SU students may seem like an easy target, but it is simply not reality that they are overcrowding our residential neighborhoods.
Fact: The only existing scenario (with exception to the grandfather clause) where four SU students could living together would be in small, condominium-style rentals (such as University Park, University Orchard, Marley Manor, etc.). Many of these properties are partnered and/or subsidized by SU.
Opinion: The current situation in Salisbury creates a false economy. The large-scale, "favored" landlords, which have support from SU and the City, are the ones charging the "$1600" described by Mr. Crowe. Small, residential landlords cannot rent to three or four students, therefore cannot compete in a free-market economy with the large, subsidized landlords.
Fact: In Maryland, rent control has objectively failed in every community (such as College Park). College Park recently abolished its rent control legislation because it became clear it did not work.
Opinion: Rhetorical questions: why would a landlord ever purchase, improve or invest money in a property when he or she cannot charge fair-market rent? Only government would do such a thing. Do we want more, bigger government controlling our housing stock?
Fact: Salisbury's "Occupancy Code" (which prohibits more than two, unrelated persons from living together in neighborhoods) has been held to be applied unconstitutionally by the United States District Court of Maryland. The City is currently appealing this ruling in the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Opinion: The City is using your money to try to resurrect an unconstitutional law that never worked or made sense in the first place.

13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi Premiers TONIGHT!
This should prove to be an eye-opener for many Clinton supporters as it demonstrates what really happened the day Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others’ lives were cut short due to, what Hillary Clinton claimed, a video denouncing Islam. A story that proved to be a completely false narrative.
Let us know what you think of the film after you see it.
The Oregon Armed Militia Would Like You to Stop Sending Them Dildos, Please
They just wanted some Miracle Whip.
A leader with the ranchers in Oregon that took over a federal building earlier this month posted a video complaining about the sheer volume of dildos and other sex-related products the group has recently received. The ranchers seized the Malhuer Wildlife Refuge, a federal building, in protest of the conviction of two ranchers found guilty of arson. The group, whose members have said they are willing to die for their cause, recently released a list of items they said they needed in order to survive the standoff.
They asked for things like blankets, tampons, Miracle Whip, and the all important coffee additive "French vanilla creamer." But then the Internet got a hold of their list and decided to have some fun. Apparently, a lot of people also decided to send them dildos.
That didn't sit too well with Jon Ritzheimer, an organizer within the group. "It's sad that there are people who would spend this kind of money on this rather than spending it to do good in the world," he wrote in the caption for the video.

America-Our Stolen Country-Session 7
By Robert Quinn
In a previous article I mentioned a letter which I had received from Israel over eight years ago, which questioned Barack Obama's claim of being a "natural-born" American citizen who was eligible to seek the office of President of the United States. Eight years and hundreds of hours later spent to confirm or disprove his claim, I have no doubt that through lying and deception Obama, former Constitutional teacher, demonstrated by his words and actions that he knew he was never lawfully eligible to even seek the Presidency. Before I continue herein, I would like to point out that I, a Caucasion, was prepared to vote for Herman Cain in 2008, until he withdrew from Presidential consideration and I am currently considering Dr.Ben Carson for the election in 2016. Knowing this, if anyone thinks my writings could possibly be "racially motivated", which race, may I ask, would I have tried to motivate? Caucasion ? If so, why would I have considered voting for an Afro-American President? Nuff said? I'm not too smart but I'm also not color-blind. In reality,in a voting booth character, not color, guides my hand, just as Truth permeates my letters, regardless of the consequences. I do not care if a presidential aspirant is white, black, brown, yellow (or you name the color) as long as he or she offers their service, not our serfdom, to our Nation.
I also do not seek praise for my writings but seek to impart awareness of issues to others. In eight years, I have received but a handfull of responses aimed at disproving my words (unsuccessfully) and I reach thousands, all of whom receive copies of each letter, as do most of those mentioned therein. Over the years, Obama kept saying that he was born in Hawaii, yet, to this day, no Hawaiian Hospital has ever claimed to be his birth hospital, including Kapi"Lani Medical Center", the hospital which he personally cited as such! Please reflect on those words. He lies and some of his die-hard supporters simply accept and echo his lies, even after the Governor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie, after claiming he would secure a copy of Obama's birth certificate to settle the issue, had to admit publically that he couldn't obtain a copy and had to leave the hospital....empty handed! Funny why the Major Media missed reporting this story.
What Obama and/or his defenders had done was to create a "Certification of Live Birth" which was not only invalid for use by anyone seeking the Presidency but was, more damning, a forgery. I am not speaking about a minor oversight but of a criminal production meant to deceive America....and it did just that! This from a man who just a few day ago, justified his own intelligence by reminding an audience that he was a former "Constitutional" teacher. In reality, a "user of forged Constitutional documents' would have more aptly described his vocation.
Obama's Deception Deepens
Later, when various States began to consider requiring a valid long-form "Certificate of Live Birth" of all Presidential aspirants, including Obama, for the 2012 election, he knew that his ineligible, fraudulent (maybe I should have reversed the order) "Certification of Live Birth" would no longer pass muster. He had used that document for over three years but now could be required to produce a valid "Certificate of Live Birth", a document whose very existence he, the Constitutional teacher(?) had never mentioned as having been lost, or even had existed. In despiration, he produced a second forgery, this time a long-form "Certificate of Live Birth"(convenient),claiming this new forgery was actually his missing birth certificate, supposedly found by the Hawaiian Health Dept.and sent to him three years later. What an impressive filing system! Unfortunately, for Obama, a cursory review of this "newly-found" document by document experts caused it to also be declared a forgery, and a bad one at that. In fairness, creating false documents does take time and precision. Having run out of deceptions, Obama took the only path open, permantly sealing all his records from public scrutiny. So much for the man who boasted of being an example of true "transparency".
Our country is being governed by a Presidential imposter who makes his own laws and signs executive orders without a shred of Authenticity, while our Congress sits paralyzed. Articles to follow will show to what lengths and at whose expense Obama will go....and has gone, to keep his true identity a secret.
A ban on Donald Trump entering Ireland to be discussed by parliament
Two petitions have been lodged to ban him and will be considered by the Joint Committee on Public Service Oversight and Petitions, which means both the Dail, the lower house, and the Senate will take part.
The Trump petitions were submitted last month after Trump’s comments about banning Muslims from America.
At the time the Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny described the comments as “not acceptable” while opposition leader Michael Martin criticized the fawning welcome Trump received from Irish Finance Minister Michael Noonan when he arrived in Ireland in a Trump jet to announce his takeover of Doonbeg Golf Club.

Carozza, Mathias Outline Legislative Priorities
ANNAPOLIS — State Senator Jim Mathias and Delegate Mary Beth Carozza helped kick off the 436th session of the Maryland General Assembly earlier this week, and while each have their own items and initiatives to push forward, the session will likely be dominated by debates surrounding the budget and police and criminal justice reforms.
A law enforcement reform workgroup formed last year after the death of Freddie Gray, who died while in police custody in Baltimore, has given more than 20 recommendations to the Democrat-controlled General Assembly. Perhaps the most controversial of those recommendations is one that aims to cut the “10-day rule” to five days. Currently, under Maryland’s Law Enforcement Officers Bill of Rights, officers have up to 10 days before they must speak with investigators in cases where they may have committed a crime. That proposal has been met with harsh criticism for the Maryland Fraternal Order of Police.
Yet, while lawmakers will likely consider and vehemently debate those proposals, they’ll also be facing pressure from Republican Governor Larry Hogan, who wants to enact $480 million in tax relief over the next several years.

Upset Republican Donors: Have We Wasted Our Money?
Major GOP donors and fundraisers are wondering whether they’re wasting their money on super-PACs.
They say they’re not ready to abandon the super-PACs, but they’re starting to look for ways to make them more effective during a presidential cycle that has challenged conventions about how to spend political donations.
GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s relatively cheap campaign — contrasted with the millions of dollars spent on behalf of Jeb Bush, John Kasich, Scott Walker and Rick Perry — has left donors, fundraisers and conservative leaders questioning the value of super-PACs, which got a boost from the 2010 Supreme Court decision that allowed independent groups to raise unlimited cash.
“People are upset about the Citizens United decision; people are upset about all this money flowing into politics, but at the end of the day it has no impact,” said New York financier Anthony Scaramucci, who was a national finance co-chair for Scott Walker’s presidential campaign before moving to raise funds for Bush when Walker quit the race.
“I mean, with the free media, or whatever the term is, when they allow Trump to go on to every TV station in America — if there’s evidence that PACs are so consequential, please explain it to me,” Scaramucci said.
John Jordan, a California winery owner who is running a super-PAC to support Marco Rubio’s bid, agrees.
“Despite all the talk about money in politics, we are entering an era where big money is less and less important,” said Jordan, who nonetheless spends millions on politics, largely through his own super-PACs.

When the Orator Heckles
“What do you mean, ‘Make America Great Again’? I’ve already done that!”
That was the essence of Barack Obama’s thankfully final State of the Union Address last night. We’ve watched a lot of Obama’s speeches over the years (our humble service so that you won’t have to), and this one was particularly remarkable for his cocky, smug and hectoring tone — and that’s saying something for a petulant narcissist like him. Whether it was insisting that the economy is great or that climate change requires his solutions or that “America is the most powerful nation on Earth — period,” Obama is right and righteous, and anyone who disagrees is a lying clown.
We’re only surprised he didn’t claim credit for the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot, because Obama’s awesome, America’s great, and, oh, by the way, you’re welcome, you ingrates.
What makes the tone even more obnoxious was that he eventually got around to lecturing us about political disagreements in general. “It’s one of the few regrets of my presidency that the rancor and suspicion between the parties has gotten worse instead of better,” he lamented, as if he was an innocent bystander. Of course, he has done more to foment rancor and suspicion than any other president in history.

There Are Far More Hate Crimes Against Jews Than Muslims in the U.S.
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee during Thursday's debate noted that there are far more hate crimes against Jews in the U.S. than there are against Muslims — and he's absolutely right.
Though the media and many political figures have focused the nation's attention on anti-Muslim sentiment in the U.S., according to FBI hate crime statistics, Jews are targeted far more than Muslims, both in absolute terms and proportionately.
In 2014, the FBI reported 1,092 hate crimes based on religious bias — 58 percent of those crimes were against Jews, compared with 16 percent that were against Muslims.

Obama Administration to Announce Efforts to Boost Self-Driving Cars
The Obama administration will announce efforts to boost self-driving cars on Thursday, and President Barack Obama may discuss advanced transportation efforts in his final State of the Union Address on Tuesday, according to government officials.
Mark Rosekind, head of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, told reporters that Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will be in Detroit to talk about efforts by the Obama administration to speed the introduction of self-driving vehicles.
"Thursday is huge because this is the White House telling you that the secretary is going to be here to amplify stuff that is coming out of the State of the Union, and it's focused on self-driving cars," Rosekind told reporters in Detroit.
There is not yet a clear legal framework governing their presence on U.S. roads.
Automakers and technology companies such as Alphabet Inc's Google have called on regulators to clarify guidelines for introduction of autonomous driving technology, in part out of concern that a mishap involving a self-driving car could result in costly litigation.

Nine Times Clinton Foundation Donors Got Special Access At State
Hillary Clinton has forcefully denied reports that the FBI is expanding its investigation of her private email network to include allegations of "public corruption" involving the Clinton Foundation.
But thousands of emails made public by the State Department between May of last year and Friday indicate donors to the Clinton Foundation were often given personal meetings, generous contracts or special consideration that was seemingly not afforded to the same number of private groups that had not written checks to the charity.
The allegations that sparked the reported probe, which the FBI has yet to confirm or deny, focus simply on whether the State Department extended preferential treatment to Clinton Foundation contributors.

Mosby Wants Porter Testimony In All Gray Related Trials
Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby now wants Baltimore police Officer William Porter to be forced to testify for the prosecution at the trial of all five of the other officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray.
CLICK HERE to read Mosby's motion.
In a motion filed this morning before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry Williams, Mosby is seeking to compel Porter to testify at the trials of Sgt. Alicia White, Officer Edward Nero, Officer Garrett Miller and Lt. Brian Rice.
Mosby had earlier considered Porter to be a material witness in the trials of Officer Caesar Goodson, and Sgt. White.
Porter's attorneys have been fighting this, noting that even though Porter is offered immunity, his constitutional rights against self-incrimination would be violated, and Porter could even face perjury charges at his retrial in June if his testimony in that trial differs. Porter's first trial last month ended in a hung jury.

US Turns to UN to Screen Refugees from Central America
The Obama administration is planning to expand a program to let would-be migrants from Central America apply for refugee status before they attempt to come to the U.S., Secretary of State John Kerry said Wednesday.
The office of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees will now conduct initial screenings to see whether migrants from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala may qualify as refugees eligible to come to the United States legally.
"I am pleased to announce plans to expand the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program to help vulnerable families and individuals from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, and offer them a safe and legal alternative to the dangerous journey many are currently tempted to begin, making them easy prey for human smugglers who have no interest but their own profits," Kerry said in a speech at the National Defense University.
Later Wednesday President Barack Obama authorized the State Department to access up to $70 million from the U.S. Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund "for the purpose for meeting unexpected urgent refugee and migration needs related to the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program."
In December 2014, the U.S. began offering refugee status to children in those countries who have parents already living legally in the United States. So far thousands of children have applied for the program but very few been approved to come to the U.S.
The latest effort is aimed at expanding that program by moving applicants, both families and single individuals, into safe zones to await processing.

Federal Judge Certifies Tea Party In Class Action Lawsuit Against IRS
A federal judge on Tuesday certified a class-action lawsuit against the IRS for its political targeting, advancing the cause of more than 200 tea party groups who said they were denied their First Amendment rights by the tax agency’s actions.
Judge Susan J. Dlott in the Southern District of Ohio issued an order certifying the class, though she sealed the order for now to protect private taxpayer information.
Edward Greim, one of the lawyers advancing the tea party groups’ case, said the certification is a major step because it means the judge has agreed that the IRS did systematically target more than 200 groups for special scrutiny.
“It’s the court recognizing that all the plaintiffs were treated the same way,” he said. “The only remaining question at that point is whether it was legally permissible to treat the plaintiffs that way.”

2004 State Department Records Confirm Arab Smuggling “Cells,” Al Qaeda Leader in Mexico.
For more than a decade the U.S. government has known that “Arab extremists” are entering the country through Mexico with the assistance of smuggling network “cells,” according to State Department documents obtained by Judicial Watch that reveal among them was a top Al Qaeda operative wanted by the FBI. Some Mexican smuggling networks actually specialize in providing logistical support for Arab individuals attempting to enter the United States, the government documents say. The top Al Qaeda leader in Mexico was identified in the September 2004 cable from the American consulate in Ciudad Juárez as Adnan G. El Shurkrjumah. The cable was released to Judicial Watch under the Freedom of Information Act.
The new intelligence records were released as a result of an ongoing JW investigation into the critical national security threats on the southern border, specifically those created by Islamic terrorists teaming up with Mexican drug cartels to infiltrate and attack the U.S. In response to JW’s reporting in the last two years the Obama administration—through various spokespeople, including FBI Director James Comey—has vehemently denied that Islamic terrorists are operating in Mexican towns near American cities or entering the U.S. through the famously porous southern border.
The State Department documents, which include substantial redactions supposedly to protect classified and personal information, contradict this. JW obtained them as part of an investigative series into Shukrijumah, an Al Qaeda operative also known as Javier Robles. In December, 2014 Shukrijumah was killed by the Pakistan Army in an intelligence-borne operation in South Waziristan. But before he died Shukrijumah helped plan several U.S. attacks, including plots to bomb Oprah Winfrey’s studio and detonate nuclear devices in multiple American cities.

Our Next President Must Be Able To Create Jobs
While no one will argue security is a major topic, job creation is something we must regain control of in the immediate future.
We hear local politicians proclaiming as their top issue, Jobs, Jobs, Jobs. Yet NONE has delivered.
When I look at the Presidential hopefuls, only one stands out and that's Donald Trump. "We don't need free trade, we need fair trade".
Making America great again is a great saying, it sounds and feels good. However, it reminds me of that Hope and Change crap we were fed several years ago. Again, however, I truly believe Trump can turn this country around and lead us back to massive production and guess what, WE'RE GOING TO NEED JUST THAT.
Once the wars end and we stop spending billions of dollars in war related supplies, how many jobs will be lost. This is something NO OTHER candidate can recover from, let alone the country. Hillary isn't going to save America, she's going to line her pockets and blame the financial crash on just about anything she can.
Can we really afford to elect someone who talks about Jobs, Jobs, Jobs but offers absolutely NO SOLUTIONS to a recovery? Trump is the only one qualified to make America great again and frankly it's a shame anyone has to actually say such a thing.

Ocean City Decides On Latest Beach Play Structure
OCEAN CITY — Ocean City officials this week approved a play structure for the beach at Somerset Street with “Wally the Whale” emerging, literally and figuratively, from the narrowed-down list of options.
The Mayor and Council on Tuesday approved “Wally the Whale” as the newest addition to the downtown beach at Somerset Street adjacent to the Boardwalk area. The play structure includes a whale’s head emerging from the sand on one end and its tail protruding from the beach on the other end. It includes barnacle-like fixtures on the head and tail allowing kids, and presumably adults, to climb on the structure.
In 2013, the town removed the long-standing wooden playground equipment, or “beach toys,” for a variety of reasons including potential safety hazards and some of the late night activities by some for whom the toys were not intended. In the two years since, the town has wrestled with replacing the beach toys from a financial and practical standpoint.
Two years ago, the newest addition was the dinosaur bones structure at 3rd Street, which became an Internet sensation last fall when Mayor Rick Meehan’s pictures of the bones emerging from the sand during Hurricane Joaquin and the associated Nor’easter went viral. The dinosaur bones structure has appeared to achieve the desired results, but the town continued to seek more beach play structures.

Prosecutor investigates Martin O'Malley furniture sale
The Anne Arundel County state's attorney is investigating former Gov. Martin O'Malley's discounted, tax-free purchase last year of taxpayer-owned furniture from the governor's mansion in Annapolis.
The probe began shortly after a Baltimore Sun investigation found in September that the Democratic presidential candidate paid $9,638 for 54 mansion furnishings that originally cost taxpayers $62,000. The discounted sale was authorized by outgoing O'Malley administration officials after each item had been classified as "junk."
Most of the furnishings now adorn the O'Malleys' $549,000 home in Baltimore's Homeland neighborhood.
O'Malley officials and state Democrats said Anne Arundel County State's Attorney Wes Adams' investigation is politically motivated.

Alcohol in E-Cigarettes Hinders Motor Skills: Yale
Some electronic cigarette liquids contain enough alcohol to have an impact on motor skills, a new Yale University School of Medicine study shows.
E-cigarettes deliver nicotine by vaporizing liquids, which often contain alcohol and other chemicals. The new study, published in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence, found volunteers who used e-cigarettes with liquids with high concentrations of alcohol (23.5 percent) performed more poorly on tests of motor skills.
