JMB Rock and Roll Revival Controversy

A Comment Worthy Of A Post 2-10-20

Joe, are you following the disaster at SPD? A corporal already previously demoted for multiple violations was caught in an affair with his subordinate whose husband works there. 2 other officers are under investigation for assault. And the big one they are freaking over is the property department supposedly has a bunch of missing items that could jeopardize criminal cases. This is a complete failure of organizational leadership. Barb can no longer blame one officer at a time. This is Barb, Kolb, Meienschein, Kaiser being inept and comfortable for years while not doing their jobs. Jake is on the hook for allowing it. Watch them spin and blame rather than own and apologize. They are hiding this trainwreck.

I made an appointment Sunday, February 9 at 9 AM with Firestone in Salisbury Maryland for an oil change. I should have realized that something wasn’t quite right when I went to sign my invoice and was told I needed a new starter and tires. I then advised them I just purchased tires with them this past August , then they look at my record and stated , oh yeah I see that. My tires were then confirmed to be OK and when I asked the manager, George why would they tell me I need new tires when I didn’t he said they always recommend them. I was also told I needed a new starter. Attached is the quote for the new starter which is labeled as preventative maintenance and also the receipt from where I had a new starter installed in October 2017 from them.

Lawmaker Wants to Open a Dialogue About Reparations in Md.

Maryland’s 250-year history of legal slavery came to an end when the practice was abolished on Nov. 1, 1864, nearly a year before the 13th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified.

Del. Wanika B. Fisher (D-Prince George’s) says it’s finally time for Maryland lawmakers to have a talk about how to move forward.

“It’s been 155 years and we haven’t addressed it, and I think if we keep going we’re never going to address it, and it continues to be something that’s impossible,” she said.

“I think it’s very possible.”

Alabama Democrat proposes bill mandating all men have vasectomy at age 50 or after third child

MONTGOMERY — State Rep. Rolanda Hollis (D-Birmingham) on Thursday filed a bill that would mandate every Alabama man to undergo a vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday or the birth of his third biological child, whichever comes first.

Democrats in the Alabama legislature last year brought up the possibility of introducing such a bill during the abortion debate on 2019’s HB 314, known as the Human Life Protection Act.

“Under existing law, there are no restrictions on the reproductive rights of men,” states the introduction to Hollis’ new bill, HB 238.

Worcester County Schools Considering Changing Over From PC's To Mac

Talk about a complete disaster! 90% of homes have PC's. No Worcester County Departments run on Mac computers. No servers, work stations and or TECHNICIANS and these fools want to not only pay THREE TIMES more money for a Mac system and then force families to spend three times more money for computers at home.

Now don't get me wrong, I am not knocking Mac computers. I'm simply stating that this is a horrible move on so many levels and it needs to be stopped dead in its tracks.

A Viewer Writes: What the f#@k is up with the Airport?

Wicomico County submitted their formal letter request to Maryland State Highway for a stoplight at Mt. Hermon/Walston Switch intersection back in August 2019. At that point, there were officials working with the Airport that knew full well Walston Switch Extended would be terminating through traffic at some point in the near future thus significantly improving the safety of the intersection (check out the Airport Master Plan draft showing a cul-de-sac dated April 2019 here: https://flysbyairport.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/16093-SBY-ALP-TAP-4-23-19-reduced.pdf ). Yet they proceeded ahead not sharing that info with MD. The stoplight was approved almost immediately by MD at the end of November - curiously without all the standard traffic volume studies. So that Wicomico County Lobbyist is apparently paying off after all. Oh wait, you didn't know there was such a thing? Neither did the County Council members for the first couple months of his tenure, here's a fun Council clip after finding out in October: https://youtu.be/5WvHcX3p9lM?t=2905

And how about that city/county pre-annexation agreement for the water project to the airport? Oh wait, what agreement? That's right. They haven't come to one. And the project starts 3/1 officially, but you can take a ride down Walston Switch & see they've already started prep and spent a ton of taxpayers money doing so.

Almost 40 million in the budget for this airport over the next 5 years, with cut after cut to the schools (spread your wings & fly high on your own Mardela!). For what? One week it's to bring the worldwide elite in their 757's that would otherwise swing by BWI to layover and refuel. Those guys are going to LOVE this town (hopefully they'll arrive with full security staff should they choose to venture out after dark). Or is it actually for hometown Piedmont (that doesn't book to capacity even when can 3/4 of the year anyway)? What is the REAL driving factor behind all the airport expansion? And is it really good for the people who live here?

Bill Banning Balloon Releases Statewide Passes In Maryland Senate

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) — A bill that would ban balloon releases statewide has passed in the Maryland Senate.

SB28 would prohibit balloon releases in the state except for those used for scientific or government purposes. People who “knowingly and intentionally” organize or take part in balloon releases would face a penalty of up to $250.

Last year, Queen Anne’s County became the first county in the state to ban balloon releases.

The bill now moves to the House.

Sen. Carter says there is no ‘public utility’ to locking up Pugh

A day after federal prosecutors called for sending former Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh to prison for nearly five years, state Sen. Jill Carter, D-Baltimore City, said she does not believe there is any “public utility” to locking up the disgraced politician.

“It’s not that she doesn’t deserve jail time. I guess that I don’t know that I think jail time is gonna serve any purpose — any real benefit to society… She’s been punished quite a bit already,” Carter told MarylandReporter.com in a phone interview on Friday.

Pugh’s attorneys echoed that sentiment, asking for a sentence of one year and one day in a sentencing memorandum filed with the federal court on Friday, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Del. Szeliga says action must be taken to help teachers deal with chronically disruptive students

House Minority Whip Kathy Szeliga, R-Baltimore-Harford, on Thursday urged action on legislation to help teachers deal with students who consistently display disruptive behavior in school.

“There are students in classrooms across our state who are regularly disruptive to a point where teachers cannot teach and students cannot learn. This isn’t the run-of-the-mill disruptions. We’re not talking about passing notes and chewing gum. We’re talking about arguing, fighting, cussing at teachers, physically and verbally assaulting teachers and other students. Teachers need the tools in the toolbox to take their classrooms back without fear of administration interference,” Szeliga said at a news conference at the Lowe House Office Building in Annapolis accompanied by about a dozen colleagues.

Szeliga spoke in favor of five Republican-sponsored bills that are aimed at addressing disruption in the classroom. They are: the Right to Teach Act, the Good Teacher Protection Act, the Predator Free Schools Act, the Accountability in Education Act, and the Right to Learn Act.

Virginia Passes Bill to Give Electoral Votes to Popular Vote Winner

The Virginia House of Delegates has passed legislation seeking to award its electoral votes to whomever the wins the popular vote.

House Bill 177 passed with a 51-46 vote in the Democrat-majority House after being handed off by the Privileges and Elections Committee last week. Should the Senate also approve, Virginia will officially become part of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.

“Under the compact, Virginia agrees to award its electoral votes to the presidential ticket that receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia,” a bill summary states. Further:

The compact goes into effect when states cumulatively possessing a majority of the electoral votes have joined the compact. A state may withdraw from the compact; however, a withdrawal occurring within six months of the end of a President’s term shall not become effective until a President or Vice President has qualified to serve the next term.
So far, 15 states, along with Washington D.C., have joined. The idea gained momentum as an answer to President Donald Trump’s electoral college victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016, despite her approximately three million popular vote lead.

Yes, Human Trafficking is on the Shore: A Chat with For All Seasons’ Katharine Petzold

It’s typically hard for most Eastern Shore residents to know that human trafficking is alive and growing in their backyard. Beyond the false narrative that this inhumane treatment of adults and children is an urban phenomenon in the United States, the fact remains that these crimes are tough to see even if they are taking place in broad daylight.

Some of these victims are hidden behind locked doors in brothels and factories. But in other cases, they are interacting with community members on a daily basis. In the labor market, it can be found agricultural work, particularly with seasonal fisheries and crab processing as well as construction, nail salons, hospitality industries, and domestic work. With the sex trade, it is showing up locally on online, secret brothels, and “massage parlors” as well as truck stops, private homes, or on the street.

That is one of the many challenges that For All Seasons, the Mid-Shore’s behavioral health center, face as they increase their work to identify and rescue victims in the region. And part of that work is ensuring that members of the health and education professional community understand the signs of human trafficking in a variety of different environments.

Mike Bloomberg 'is considering picking Hillary Clinton as his running mate in the 2020 Democratic race to help take on Trump'

Mike Bloomberg is considering making Hillary Clinton his running mate, a source close to his campaign has told Drudge Report.

Polling found the Bloomberg-Clinton combination would be a formidable force to take on Trump in the race for the White House, the source said.

Former New York City Mayor and Democratic candidate Bloomberg is said to be considering even changing his official residence from New York to Colorado or Florida - where he also has homes - because the electoral college makes it difficult for US president and vice-president to reside in the same state.

Under the Twelfth Amendment to the US Constitution, which provides the procedure for electing the president and vice-president, it states that the two people could not both inhabit the same state as the elector.

Watch – Pete Buttigieg: Flood Small American Towns with Immigration to Grow Population

Former Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, is touting a new visa program to flood small American towns with legal immigrants to grow the regions’ populations — a boon to corporate investors, housing developers, and big business.

During a campaign stop in Merrimack, New Hampshire, Buttigieg touted his investor-friendly plan to inundate small American towns and rural communities with legal immigration for the sole purpose of driving up population growth.

Buttigieg said:

I’m proposing what we call “Community Renewal Visas” that when a community that is very much in need of growing its population, recognizes that, and makes a choice to welcome more than its share of new Americans that we create a fast-track, if they apply for an allotment of visas, that goes to those who are willing to be in those areas that maybe are hurting for population but have great potential.
Buttigieg’s population growth agenda mimics a plan by the Economic Innovation Group, an organization led by investors, that seeks to create a “Heartland Visa” to flood small American towns with more legal immigration to increase the population.

What to Do After You Shoot Someone in Self Defense

It is the end of a long day. You and your wife tucked your children in and are heading to bed. As you turn off the lights you hear a sound you do not recognize. When you go to investigate, you discover a broken window. An intruder is in your home. Fearing for your safety and the safety of your family, you prepare to defend yourself. You know you have your right to defend your family and your home. You grab your firearm and confront the intruder at gunpoint. The intruder draws a weapon and turns to attack. You pull the trigger and hit your mark. The intruder falls to the ground seriously injured and likely dying.

The immediate threat is over, but your emotions are running high and adrenalin is pumping through your body. You and your family are safe, but what do you do next? Do you flee from your residence? Do you start collecting evidence? Do you move the body? Do you call the police?

What you do after shooting someone in self-defense can determine what legal consequences will follow. There are several things you should do and other things you should not do if you find yourself in this situation.

Student, 21, says she was insulted by Joe Biden when he called her a 'lying dog-faced pony soldier' after asking about his poor Iowa results and says it shows how badly his campaign is going

A college student who Joe Biden called a 'lying, dog-faced pony soldier' after she asked about his poor performance in Iowa has shamed him for 'humiliating' her and said his inability to answer her question shows how extremely poorly he's performing.

Madison Moore, a 21-year-old economics student at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, said on Monday for people to wave off the former vice president's remark as a 'joke' is 'kind of insulting'. Biden later explained he was quoting John Wayne.

Biden asked Moore if she had ever voted in a caucus and she nodded her head yes while attending his campaign event in Hampton, New Hampshire on Sunday night, leading Biden to call her a 'lying, dog-faced pony soldier'.

Moore said: 'It was kind of humiliating to be called a liar on national TV by the former vice president. Instead of answering that question straightforward, his immediate response was to attempt to invalidate me by exposing my inexperience.

Possible Theft Within The Salisbury Maryland Police Department

In the course of a recent internal audit of its property storage facility, the Salisbury Police Department discovered evidence of a series of potentially egregious breaches of internal policy by a civilian employee. Upon further review of the evidence, SPD command staff determined that there was cause to believe that the civilian employee may have committed one or more thefts while working in the property storage facility.

To better prepare for future re-certification reviews by accrediting agency, CALEA (the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies), the Salisbury Police Department has recently undertaken an audit of its property storage processes and procedures. This internal audit was non-compulsory, and was initiated by the SPD to ensure adherence to best practices for property handling and storage. Upon discovering that internal policies may have been breached by the civilian employee, SPD contacted the Wicomico County State’s Attorney’s Office, and informed them of the evidence that a crime—or crimes—may have been committed in the property storage facility at the Salisbury Police Department. Discussion between the two agencies led to the decision to seek the assistance of the Maryland State Police, who were asked to conduct a criminal investigation. That investigation is currently ongoing.

“The community needs to know that when they give you their trust, you’re going to do the right thing when they’re not looking” said Salisbury Police Chief Barbara Duncan. “As a law enforcement agency, integrity is paramount for us, so this situation is disappointing. It’s frustrating. Right now, our focus is on ensuring the secure operation of our property facility, and assisting the MSP and the State’s Attorney’s Office to determine exactly what happened. Moving forward, SPD is committed to taking every possible step to ensure that the trust of our citizens is well-placed.”

In 1987, to help foster a stronger relationship with the community, SPD first pursued accreditation by CALEA – the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. Widely recognized within the law enforcement profession as the gold standard benchmark for professional excellence, CALEA conducts periodic inspections to ensure that agencies are adhering to the rigorous standards set forth for certification. Since 1987, the Salisbury Police Department has undergone 16 process reviews under CALEA – each involving an inspection of the property storage facility. Not one inspection to date has revealed any evidence of either breaches in protocol, or illegal activity in the property storage facility, or anywhere else within the SPD.

Chief Duncan said, “We’re always looking for areas where we can improve how we work, tighten up our policies. The process by which you identify those areas of potential improvement calls for scrutiny and objectivity. That’s what led us here. No one ever wants to be in the position of questioning the integrity of someone you trust, but when you take that internal look within the organization, one of the reasons you do it is to determine if there’s anyone who’s not living your standards.”

The Maryland State Police investigation into this matter is ongoing, and may continue for a considerable time to come. The Salisbury Police Department will provide updates as they become available, however SPD will not offer any comment on the ongoing MSP investigation.

Maxine Waters: White Dem Candidates ‘Have Blemishes on Their Record About Their Relationships with Black People’

Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Sunday on MSNBC that the 2020 presidential hopefuls who are white had “blemishes on their record about their relationships with black people.”

When asked about 2020 hopeful Pete Buttigieg, Waters said, “You know, one’s record will speak for itself. If there are facts about what he has done or what he has not done, then he’s going to have to try and make people, you know, believe that he understands where he made mistakes and promises to do better and be able to articulate how he’s going to do even better than he’s done in the past.”

She continued, “But let me just say this; most white candidates live in white communities. They go to white churches. Their children go basically to white schools, etc., etc. So, you know, they all have blemishes on their record about their relationships with black people. And so the way they change oftentimes is if we are able to organize and to protest and to force them to understand what they’re not doing in terms of equality and justice and force them to have to recognize that and do the right thing.”

Maryland ‘Assault Weapon’ Registration Bill Would Charge Gun Owners Up to $1000 Per Firearm

When you think of heavily gun controlled states, names like New York, California and New Jersey immediately come to mind. But don’t sleep on Maryland. The Eat Crab or Die State has long been at the forefront of Second Amendment rights abrogation and a new bill entered in the state’s House would move the Old Line State way up on the #gunsense hit parade.

HB 1261, authored by House Speaker Adrienne Jones along with Reps. Vanessa Atterbeary and Eric Luedke, was introduced Friday and would ban a range of firearms after October 1. It would also require those already owning assaulty-looking guns to register them.

But what makes the bill fairly unique is the escalating cost of registering “assault guns or copycat weapons” that kicks in after the bill’s deadline.

She said they do not, “do the speculation because nothing’s been passed into formal law,” but made clear that their job is to “enforce and comply with the laws” once they are on the books.

How Trump can lose in 2020 – here's why and how

Amid voter fraud, ballot harvesting, and media giants railing against Donald Trump, only a sovereign act of God can bring about a re-election. Every trick in the book will be unleashed, from sandbagging to illegal voting. They will do whatever it takes to acquire victory – you can count on that.

The title above may be shocking and disheartening to many of us, but it's a reality check on what could happen. The 2020 election will be one of the most important elections in the history of America (as was Abraham Lincoln's – who was a Republican fighting slavery).

Most are not aware that in 2016 President Trump barely won in many swing states, with margins as low as 1.2% in Florida and a very narrow 0.23% in Michigan. I hope you realize how narrow this is. The 2016 election caught Democrats off guard – but they won't let that happen again. My concern is that the 2020 election will catch Republicans off guard this time. Complacency may lead to apathy when the economy is good and the president's approval rating is high. We can't become comfortable thinking that Trump will easily take it again.
