The Democrat Wall of Insanity Is Cracking: Top Democrats Announce Support for Border Barriers

Pelosi and Cryin’ Chuck Schumer begged President Trump this week to reopen the government.

Trump doesn’t give a damn and wants a wall.

Chuck and Nancy are losing.
And their wall of insanity is crumbling down.
Numerous Democrats now say they want a border barrier.
Don’t they know Nancy says it’s immoral?

Dem Rep. Cheri Bustos says a border wall is fine
DCCC Chair Rep. Cheri Bustos (D-IL): “If we have a partial wall, if we have fencing, if we have technology used to keep our border safe, all of that is fine.”

Sen. Cardin on Border Security: Certainly You Need Barriers and We Support Barriers
Sen. Ben Cardin (D-MD): “Certainly you need barriers and we support barriers.”

Sen. Jeff Merkley States That “Some Barriers Are Useful” On The Border
Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR): “Some fencing is useful, some barriers are useful. There’s a lot of surveillance technology. I’ve been to some cities on the border that have triple fencing and have more personnel and have the technology to see the people moving in the middle of the night.”

Dem Rep. Eric Swalwell Says A Border Fence Is Something He Can Get On Board With
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA): “Yes, fencing where there are vulnerabilities.”

MCINTOSH: The Best Part Of A Shutdown Isn’t A Wall — It’s Teaching The GOP Not To Cower In Fear

Republicans who care about liberty should be thankful that President Trump is being tough during the shutdown. Sure, it’s messy. And there’s a “debate” about border security, but what is really going on is a power play between Republican who run the government and control the Senate and Nancy Pelosi’s increasingly socialist Democrat House. The best thing to come out of the president’s willingness to fight is that weak-kneed Republicans will learn not to cower in fear when Democrats threaten a shutdown.

The debate over whether or not to fund $5.7 billion for President Trump’s wall and border security measures is a topline issue. But there’s an elephant in the room, and it’s bigger than any proposed wall. Appropriators of both parties routinely use “shutdown” fears to jam through the over $4 trillion behemoth that is federal government spending each year. While it may seem hard to imagine today, the quarter of the federal government that has been shuttered since December will eventually re-open. And when it does, the question is will we be left with the same systemic problem we started out with: a bloated government that spends without regard to our nation’s economic future.

Club for Growth does not take positions on immigration, but we do advance free-market economic policies. And that entails supporting policies that reduce the size and scope of the federal government in order to secure economic prosperity for our children and future generations of Americans. President Trump deserves much credit for advancing that cause and for all its work rolling back the regulatory monstrosity that was the Obama administration’s nanny state.

Tail light out leads to methamphetamine arrests

RICHMOND, Ind. — A malfunctioning tail light led to the arrests of two men on drug charges Thursday night.

Jose Perez, 34, of Richmond remained in the Wayne County Jail on Friday morning preliminarily charged with Level 6 felony possession of methamphetamine, Level 6 felony maintaining a common nuisance and Class C misdemeanor driving without a license.

Indiana State Police Trooper Michael Garcia was patrolling just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday when he observed a Honda car with its driver's side tail light not functioning, according to an ISP news release. Garcia initiated a traffic stop, and the car stopped after turning south onto North Fifth Street.

As officers investigated, they found a digital scale and a white powder, which is believed to be methamphetamine, inside the vehicle, the release said. The car also had license plates issued for a different vehicle.

Snow Emergency Plan in effect for Worcester County

The Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack in conjunction with local agencies and the State Highway Administration are implementing the Snow Emergency Plan for Worcester County effective as of January 12, 2019 at 2300 hours. This plan is to assist the State Highway Administration in snow clearing operations throughout the county.

Once the snow emergency plan goes into effect, all vehicles on the roadway must be equipped with snow chains or snow tires. In addition, a parking ban is imposed on all snow emergency routes in the County. All vehicles left on the shoulders of these routes will be towed at the owner’s expense.

A press release will be sent out advising when the snow emergency plan has been lifted. Motorists with questions can contact the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack at 410-641-3101.

Golden Tomato Awards: Best Of 2018

Six hundred theaters. That’s all it takes to make it onto our list of wide releases. That, and the undying, near-unanimous adulation of critics. They gave top marks to three superhero movies this year, as burnout and fatigue of this subgenre remains an invisible specter. Meanwhile, the cinema of empathy (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?Paddington 2) connected in a big way.
The order of the rank below reflects the Adjusted Score as of December 31, 2018. Scores might change over time.

Build The Welfare Wall Now

Would a welfare wall be more effective than a physical barrier?

There is an old tale about a small New Zealand town that was suffering from an influx of vipers. To eradicate the problem, local officials established a viper bounty, offering people money to bring in these dead snakes. It resulted in residents breeding these reptiles in their basements and killing them. The plan didn’t solve the original problem, and the limited resources were flushed down the drain.

Former President Ronald Reagan famously said, “If you want more of something, subsidize it; if you want less of something, tax it.” This is one of the first principles you learn in economics.

When the war on poverty was initiated by former President Lyndon Baines Johnson in the 1960s, the federal government extended generous welfare payments to single-parent households. The unintended consequences were more women having children out of wedlock, the destruction of the nuclear family, and impoverished children. The Heritage Foundation writes, “Marriage is a powerful force in reducing poverty; a single mother with children is four times more likely to be poor than a similar mother who is married.”

And, thus, this is the problem with illegal immigration in America today: subsidization.

Hoyer Compares Government Workers Still Working During Shutdown to Slavery

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D.) on Thursday compared the situation of federal government employees still working during the partial shutdown to slavery in the 1800s.

"Yes we lament the pain that is being inflicted on the 800,000 people who work for the federal government. And the 440,000 people that are being asked to work with no pay," Hoyer said during arally in Washington, D.C. "You know, back in the 1860s, they talked about working with no pay."

The comment, made to a group of federal union workers outside the AFL-CIO’s headquarters, was an apparent reference to when African Americans worked as slaves. It was met with a few shouts of approval from the crowd.

President Donald Trump and Congress remain at an impasse over funding for Trump's proposed wall along the southern border. The standoff has resulted in a partial government shutdown that is now in its 21st day. Over 800,000 furloughed federal government workers will go without a paycheck on Friday.

GM says hybrids are over, reboots Cadillac as an electric vehicle leader

General Motors essentially put a fork in hybrids on Friday and announced that Cadillac will lead its upcoming electric vehicle charge in the United States.

GM President Mark Reuss revealed the first information about the company’s third-generation battery-electric platform, which will launch with a new Cadillac model that will be the first of many. He described it as being able to accommodate front-, rear- or all-wheel-drive and a variety of battery sizes using an “ice cube tray” design that allows for a different number of cells to be installed, depending on a particular model’s requirements.

Answering an analyst’s question about the future of hybrids in the company’s lineup, Reuss called them a countermeasure to the internal combustion engine and said that resources would be redirected toward fully-electric cars, instead. The move represents a sharp departure by the company that championed plug-in hybrids with the soon to be discontinued Chevrolet Volt.

Reuss, who was previously the automaker’s head of product development, said GM has determined that the “sweet spot” for electric cars is a range of 300 miles, which balances cost against capability, and that styling is important along with a robust charging infrastructure. GM this week began a collaboration with EVgo, ChargePoint and Greenlots to integrate a network of 31,000 charge points with its plug-in cars.

Delaware Store Owner Gets Prison for $1.7 Million Food Stamp Fraud

A former Delaware convenience store owner will spend the next 14 months in prison, starting next week, for carrying out a $1.7 million food stamp fraud scheme.

A judge sentenced Debasish Muhuri to prison last month after he pleaded guilty in June to a charge of unauthorized use of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Prosecutors dropped the other three charges against him but ordered Muhuri to pay back the $1.7 million he stole from the federal government.

"On January 5, 2019, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, will start their training cycle with one female platoon and five male platoons," the Marine Corps said in a statement Friday, first reported by ABC News.

Sailors Hold Heathen Religious Services Aboard Deployed Aircraft Carrier

If you're deployed aboard the carrier John C. Stennis and consider yourself a practitioner of Norse paganism, you're in luck. The carrier, now operating in the Persian Gulf, is holding lay services in the ship's chapel to serve a "small, committed" group of sailors identifying as Heathens, according to a recent news release from the carrier.

The development is the latest in a series of boosts for Heathenism in the U.S. military, a little-known religion with roots in Viking mythology that has gradually gained recognition in the services. A 2013 non-scientific "census" poll by the Norse Mythology Blog identified nearly 8,000 Heathen respondents in the U.S. and more than 16,000 worldwide. A 2018 estimate from religious author Jefferson Calico suggested there may be up to 20,000 American Heathens.

France In Free Fall

French officials evidently understand that the terrorists are engaged in a long war and that it will be difficult to stop them; so they seem to have given in. These officials are no doubt aware that young French Muslims are being radicalized in increasing numbers. The response, however, has been to strengthen Muslim institutions in France.

At the time President Macron was speaking, one of his emissaries was in Morocco to sign the UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, which defines immigration as "beneficial" for the host countries. Under it, signatory states pledge to "strengthen migrant-inclusive service delivery systems."

A group of retired generals published an open letter, saying that signing the Global Compact was a further step towards "the abandonment of national sovereignty" and noted that "80% of the French population think that immigration must be halted or regulated drastically".

The author Éric Zemmour described the "yellow vests" revolt as the result of the "despair of people who feel humiliated, forgotten, dispossessed of their own country by the decisions of a contemptuous caste".

French President Emmanuel Macron seems to hope that weariness will lead the "yellow vests" protestors to give up, but there seems no sign of it yet. On the contrary, the "yellow vests" seem dedicated to bringing him down. Pictured: "Yellow vests" protesters on December 15, 2018 in Paris, France. (Photo by Veronique de Viguerie/Getty Images)

House Democrats Rebuke Tlaib’s ‘Inappropriate,’ ‘Not Helpful’ Promise to Impeach ‘Motherf***er’ Trump

Both the House Democratic leadership and rank-and-file Democratic members rebuked comments from newly sworn-in Rep. Rashida Tlaib promising to impeach "motherfucker" Donald Trump.

"We're going to go in there, and we're going to impeach the motherf***er," the Michigan Democrat said at Thursday MoveOn rally in Washington, D.C., drawing cheers and whoops from the crowd.

When asked about Tlaib's use of profanity in an MSNBC town hall the following morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) responded that it wasn't worse than anything Trump had said in the past. "I'm not in the censorship business. I don't like that language, I wouldn't use that language, I don't establish language standards for my colleagues," she responded.

But Pelosi was more critical of the talk of impeachment, saying that it consolidated the president's base and disclaiming, "That is not the position of the House Democratic Caucus."

"I do think that we want to be unified and bring people together. Impeachment is a very divisive approach to take and we shouldn’t take it … without the facts," she told host Joy Reid later in the interview, set to air Friday at 10 p.m. ET.

When asked by CNN's John Berman about Tlaib's remarks, House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler (D., N.Y.) agreed. "I don't like that language," he said. "More to the point, I disagree with what she said. It is too early to talk about that intelligently."

"We have to get the facts. We will see where the facts lead," he continued. "Maybe that will lead to impeachment. Maybe it won't. It is much too early."

Newly elected Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema refused to be sworn in on a Bible, opting, instead, to place her right hand on a book of laws, including the U.S Constitution and the Arizona Constitution.

The book Sen. Sinema placed her hand on to be sworn in came from the Library of Congress, her office told the Arizona Republic.

“Kyrsten always gets sworn in on a Constitution simply because of her love for the Constitution,” the senator’s office said.

Scientists hack plant photosynthesis to boost crop yields by 40%

An international team of researchers has, for the first time, demonstrated that by fixing a common glitch in photosynthesis, a crop's yield could be improved by around 40 percent. The landmark study suggests optimizing a plant's photosynthetic efficiency could significantly increase worldwide food productivity.

Photosynthesis, the process by which a plant converts light energy into chemical energy, is not a wholly efficient process. A key stage in the photosynthesis process involves an enzyme called RuBisCO grabbing carbon dioxide molecules. However, around 25 percent of the time RuBisCO incorrectly collects oxygen molecules instead, creating a plant-toxic byproduct that disrupts the entire photosynthesis process. Photorespiration is the process plants use to remove these problematic byproducts.

"Photorespiration is anti-photosynthesis," explains Paul South, lead author on the new research. "It costs the plant precious energy and resources that it could have invested in photosynthesis to produce more growth and yield."

Kennedy Kambani, a 21-year-old man in Malawi, Africa has been accused of raping a goat in a field.

Although Kambani was apprehended and taken to the police station and charged with bestiality, he argued he asked the goat’s permission first.

The Daily Mail reported:

The Case Against Tattoos

A Metaphor For America?

34-year-old Casey King is so obese that he can’t work, he has to bathe outside in a trough like a pig, and he has to rely on his father to constantly take care of him.

He now weighs more than 700 pounds, but he just keeps on eating massive amounts of unhealthy food.

Just like America as a whole, he has absolutely no self-discipline and absolutely no desire to turn his life around. On some level he understands that he is literally killing himself with his destructive behavior, but he does not have a desire to change. Instead, he told TLC that he “will just eat until I am dead”

Featuring in a TLC TV series called Family by the Ton, Casey said: “I will just eat until I am dead, probably.

“I wake up around 12, figure out something I’m going to eat immediately [then it’s] TV, video games, bed — it’s not a lot of activity.”

Because of the hot weather in Georgia he prefers to skip clothes, wearing only a headset through which he uses to chat to other gamers playing online.

It is easy to criticize Casey for his lack of activity, but he is really not too different from most other Americans.

As I have written about before, the average American spends approximately five hours a day watching television. We are willingly plugging ourselves into “the propaganda matrix” for thousands upon thousands of hours, and of course that is going to greatly affect our outlook on life and how we see the world.

But of course most Americans don’t watch television and play video games while naked. But for Casey, clothes have become too restricting and so he just sits on his bed naked all day long

‘It’s hot in Georgia, and all my clothing is restricting and tight, so I just sit there naked, free as can be and no one bothers me — door’s shut, we’re good,’ he explained.

The gaming community has become a safe space for him because it allows him to escape his everyday life.

‘I’m accepted in all those virtual reality worlds and the gaming world I’m in,’ he said. ‘No one sees me. That is my outside. That is my world that I can be the Casey I want to be, but not be judged on my weight.’

The only reason why Casey is able to live this kind of lifestyle is because his father takes care of him and pays all the bills.

Worst measles outbreak in decades sweeps New York as cases surge in Oregon, Washington and abroad

Cases of measles have reached a 20-year high in several New York counties amid an outbreak that threatens to reach epidemic proportions, experts say.

At least 160 people have been infected by the virus, which typically strikes children, in New York and unusual outbreaks have been reported internationally.

The worst affected areas so far are Rockland County - where 105 cases have been reported - and an Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Brooklyn, where at least 55 have been infected.

Meanwhile, 25 other states have reported outbreaks, with numbers climbing particularly high in Oregon and Washington.

Texas Police Made Over $50 Million In 2017 From Seizing People's Property

Law enforcement leaders say civil asset forfeiture is a necessary tool for fighting crime, but several lawmakers see it as a violation of Americans’ civil liberties. Texas legislators are poised to take up the issue once again in 2019.

In February 2016, prosecutors in Houston filed a lawsuit against a truck: State of Texas vs. One 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.

Houston police had seized the vehicle after surveilling its driver, Macario Hernandez, and pulling him over after he left his house. They took the truck to court, hoping to keep it or sell it at auction to fund their operations, claiming the vehicle was known to be involved in the drug trade.

But the truck’s owner, Oralia Rodriguez, was never charged with a crime. She wasn’t at the scene when officers pulled over Hernandez, her son, and found 13.5 grams of marijuana in his pocket. In fact, Rodriguez said she had recently loaned him the car so he could drive his pregnant girlfriend to the doctor. The girlfriend was having difficulty with her pregnancy and was at risk of losing the baby, Rodriguez said. She was desperate not to lose her truck, which had recently had new tires installed among other repairs, which she was still working to pay off.

“My sole intention was to help out. … Now I am in this situation of losing what I have worked very hard for,” she wrote to local prosecutors.

“I am begging you please allow me to have my truck back.”

Kansas woman makes $80 per hour as a 'professional cuddler'

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WDAF) - A Kansas woman’s job is to cuddle, which is part of a growing movement of touch-based therapy.

Robin Marie said she wants to bring people closer together, and has become a professional cuddler. It means her job is to comfort, nurture and sooth. Marie said the experience is strictly platonic.

“I really believe in the power of touch and how it can really heal people,” she explained to WDAF. “It can be as simple as me sitting on the couch, just sitting next to someone. It can be holding hands with someone. All the way to where we’re laying horizontal on the bed and we are spooning.”

Mass Exodus: More People Left New Jersey Than Any Other State In 2018

Over the last four decades, United Van Lines has published its National Movers Study, which tracks customers’ state-to-state migration trends over the past year, revealed a mass exodus of residents from New Jersey than any other state in 2018.

Last year, New Jersey displaced Illinois to take the top spot on the list of most-moved from states. According to the study, 66.8% of New Jersey’s moves in 2018 were outbound, the highest rate across the country.

Illinois (65.9%), Connecticut (62%), New York (61.5%), and Kansas (58.7%) were included on the top five most moved-from states.

Among age demographics, New Jersey had a great year in attracting millennials, the state saw 7.97% more moves to the state than moves away. However, baby boomers were leaving the state 10% more often than arrived.

Americans Are On The Move, But Where Are They Move To And From?

Here’s Exactly What Trump Wants For The Border

President Donald Trump is demanding Congress pass a budget that includes funding for a massive barrier on the country’s southern border, but the administration’s border security wish list also includes a number of other requests.

The partial government shutdown reached day 20 on Thursday, with no compromise appearing on the horizon. The gridlock would only need to continue for two more days to surpass the longest government shutdown in U.S. history — which took place between December 1995 and January 1996 and lasted 21 days. Congressional Democrats continue to oppose the concept of a border wall, framing it as unnecessary and immoral. However, Trump pledged to reject any budget that doesn’t fund his proposal.

How much for the wall and what would it look like?

The president specifically called for $5.7 billion in appropriated funds to construct a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Stretching 234 miles, the proposed wall would be a steel barrier, but its design would likely vary depending on the terrain. The amount of funding dedicated to the wall is subject to change should Republicans and Democrats reach any sort of compromise.

Data programmer, 38, who was killed by single punch at Philadelphia park

Police have identified the dog walker who was killed by a single punch after he got in an argument with another man at a park in South Philadelphia.

Drew Justice, 38, and his fiancée Kristi Buchholz were walking their black Shih Tzu at Gold Star Park on Saturday night around 9.15pm when they came across the other man, whose pet pit bull was running free.

An argument ensued after Justice, a data programmer, asked the owner to put his dog on a leash because he feared for his own dog's safety.

Things escalated to the point that the man punched Justice, causing him to fall backward and hit his head on the concrete sidewalk.

The suspect fled the scene on foot as witnesses rushed in to help Justice.

Jim Acosta’s Bad Week: Gaffe After Gaffe for CNN White House Correspondent

From Kellyanne bitch-slap to proving Trump right on the wall

This week went from bad to worse for CNN’s Jim Acosta.

The White House correspondent, personally dubbed “fake news” by President Trump, got off to a bumpy start this week beginning with a brutal sparring match with White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway on Tuesday.

Responding to Acosta’s question asking whether the president would tell the truth during his Tuesday night Oval Office address to the nation, Conway singled him out for one of the worst tongue-lashings in history, at one point telling Acosta many of his peers despise him.

A Viewer Writes: Tip/Info

Dear Joe,

I had a little birdie tell me that Wicomico Humane Society has finished their financial audit into whether or not Aaron Balsamo was misusing funds. I have looked into this and found nothing about them charging him or that they have reported their findings. I would like to see if it's possible for you to bring this to light. I would much rather you do a story on this and get the facts then The Daily Times tell the story and lie about it. The County has been covering things up for a long time. If the audit is completed, then why are they taking their time to release the information? Unless the findings that they received are not what they wanted and now are waiting for people to forget so they can sweep it under the rug. Thank you for your time.

CNBC Host Trashes Democrats Over Shutdown: They're Just Trying To Make A Political Point

The government shutdown is in its 21stday. And nuclear Armageddon has not happened. Democrat government workers remain at home—and no one really cares about that. Stories about furloughed government workers will certainly not build any pressure to re-open the government. President Trump wants some money for his border wall. Democrats are refusing. Trump offered to re-open the government in order to get something for the wall. The Democrats refused. It’s not like we're talking tens or even hundreds of billions of dollars here, folks. It’s around $5 billion. That’s it. Democrats don’t want the border enforced, they don’t want the wall, and they don’t care about the families killed by illegal aliens. All they see when they look at these migrants is a pool of new voters to nab through amnesty; they see a whole generation to be suckered in and taken for a ride because that’s the Democratic Party. Everyone knows the game.

CNBC host Joe Kernen laid into House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) over this whole situation. The president reportedly offered to re-open the government if he got $2.5 billion for his wall. The Democrats refused. Kernen wasn’t buying the argument that they couldn’t re-open the government.

CREEP SHOW: Pelosi and Schumer Freak Out Viewers... Blank Stares, Scowls and Crazy Eyes Consume Dem Response

President Trump held a national address the perils of open borders and illegal immigration on Tuesday.

Democrat leaders Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi delivered the response.

Big mistake.

What a creep show!

Pelosi started off the response while Chuck Schumer stood and stared.

Florida governor suspends Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel

Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, who faced criticism over his department’s response to the deadly Parkland, Florida, school shooting last year, was officially suspended by new Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday.

"Sheriff Israel has repeatedly failed and has demonstrated a pattern of poor leadership," DeSantis said in a statement.

"He failed to protect Floridians and visitors during the tragic Fort Lauderdale International Airport shooting in 2017. He failed in his duties to keep our families and children safe during the devastating shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb.14, 2018," the statement read. "These incidents demonstrate Sheriff Israel’s repeated incompetence and neglect of duty. The families of the victims deserve accountability. It is my job as governor to ensure that the safety of our local communities, especially the safety of our children, is paramount. Government officials must be held accountable for their actions, and/or inactions.

"For these reasons, I am suspending Sheriff Israel from office effective immediately.”

DeSantis later tweeted that he was suspending Israel for "his repeated failures, incompetence and neglect of duty."

Rep. Andy Biggs: Democrats rigged the House rules to undermine GOP victories

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and the Democrats have proposed rules of the House of Representatives that will emasculate the Republican wins over the past two years. The agenda of the new Democrat committee leaders will result in further divisiveness in Congress and the nation. Consequently, political discourse will continue to devolve and individual freedom will be attacked.

Democratic leaders are using the rules package to lay the ground work for higher taxes, frivolous investigations, and prevention of advancing funds for a border wall and defense spending. They have prepared to defend any changes in Obamacare. Democrats will foist crazy climate change policies on the public — just as we are seeing rejection of those ideas by people around the globe. They will also automatically increase our national debt without the transparency of debate and voting by Congress.

They propose a prohibition against advance appropriations that will prevent funding being allocated for future border wall costs. This will also be a problem as our military budgets have to plan their spending for several years ahead. This is irresponsible and dangerous, in both instances, to our national security.

House Democrats Introduce Bill Criminalizing Private Gun Sales

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Rep. Mike Thompson (D-CA) introduced legislation to criminalize private gun sales on Tuesday.

As promised, gun control proponent Gabby Giffords was there to take part in the introduction of the legislation, which is titled H.R. 8.

The “8” is intended to honor Giffords for surviving the attack on her life eight years ago, on January 8, 2011.

Rep. Thompson tweeted an ABC News report explaining H.R. 8, which criminalizes private gun sales by expanding background checks to cover non-retail gun sales.

The Democrats are joined by three House Republicans: Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), and Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ).

Hungary's Orban Slams Macron As 'Leader' Of "Pro-Immigration Forces", Vows "I Will Fight Against Him"

One day after Italy's Matteo Salvini traveled to Poland to discuss forming an international, inter-party alliance of anti-immigration populist nations to contest the EU Parliamentary elections in May, on Thursday, another prominent eurosceptic leader lashed out at the European establishment.

After a reporter from the French paper Le Monde asked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about his relationship with deeply unpopular French President Emmanuel Macron, Orban said that while he has nothing against Macron personally - in fact, the two get along well - he considers Macron to be the standard bearer for the EU's globalist, "pro-immigration forces."

And therefore, "I must fight him," Orban said.

"There is no denying that Emmanuel Macron is an important figure, moreover, the leader of the pro-immigration forces," Orban told a press conference.

"It is nothing personal, but a matter of our countries' future. If what he wants with regards to migration materializes in Europe, that would be bad for Hungary, therefore I must fight him."

Orban's Fidesz party won a stunning parliamentary victory last year and remains supremely popular among Hungarians, particularly in more rural parts of the country. However, Orban's refusal to bend to the EU's mandates about member states accepting refugees and migrants prompted the EU Parliament to trigger Article 7 sanctions proceedings against Hungary back in September. This marked the first time the EU had ever invoked an Article 7 resolution.

For those who are unfamiliar, Article 7 of the EU Treaty was designed to protect the bloc's "fundamental values" (because enforcing immigration laws and securing borders is apparently seen as a moral outrage in Brussels).

The Article 7 invocation could ultimately lead to a suspension of membership rights for Hungary.

Louisiana Church's Chicken customer brandished gun after restaurant got her order wrong, police say

A Louisiana woman was arrested after allegedly brandishing a gun and vandalizing a Church’s Chicken fast food restaurant after her order wasn’t correct.

Vilette Hammond, 31, reportedly became irate after the Church’s Chicken in Terrytown, Louisiana, didn’t get her order right and she was denied a refund when she returned to the fast food joint the next day without a receipt, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Jason Rivarde told The Times-Picayune.

Hammond allegedly confronted the female employee who took her order and started a fight Tuesday. Other employees managed to break up the fight and locked Hammond out of the restaurant, officials said.

However, Hammond’s belongings, including her wallet, were still inside the restaurant. When employees refused to let her back inside, Hammond allegedly retrieved a blue gun from her car and broke the drive-thru window, according to The Times-Picayune.

“She threatened to shoot up the place,” Rivarde said.

When law enforcement arrived at the restaurant, Hammond was still outside with the firearm, officials said.

Hammond faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault with a firearm, simple battery and simple criminal damage to property, according to court records.

Bombshell: Gov Official Confirms Link Between Vaccines and Autism

Big Pharma working to discredit scientist’s vaccine-autism connection

A medical expert working for the government found a causal link between vaccines and autism, but federal lawmakers influenced by the powerful pharmaceutical lobby helped bury that info.

In an episode of award-winning journalist Sharyl Attkisson’s program Full Measure, she breaks down how a scientist relied on by the government to debunk vaccine-autism claims was silenced after reporting there was indeed a link between the neurological disease and vaccines.

First Winter Storm of 2019 Could Bring Accumulating Snow

REISTERSTOWN, Md. — An incoming winter storm will likely bring accumulating snow to most of Maryland beginning this Saturday. The National Weather Service has issued winter storm watches for several counties in Maryland and expects to issue winter storm advisories and warnings as the storm gets closer.
“With the potential for our first statewide winter weather event of 2019, I ask all Marylanders to put safety first by staying off the roads during the storm, following your local weather forecasts, and heeding all warnings,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “Our state agencies and employees are working diligently in preparation for the storm to keep our roads passable, but for a large portion of the state, the potential of accumulating snow is a real concern. As we prepare for this winter weather, I urge all Marylanders to use common sense and take all necessary precautions.”
Snow is expected to begin falling Saturday afternoon for most of our state and continue into Sunday with some areas in Maryland readying to see 3 to 6 inches of accumulating snow. Less snow is predicted to affect the western portions of the Eastern Shore of Maryland but the accumulation forecast for Maryland could change as the storm gets closer.
The Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) advises all residents to follow weather forecasts as they are updated and pay attention to your local emergency management officials, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), and the MD Department of Transportation (MDOT). In addition to snow, the majority of the State will see temperatures around the freezing mark during the event with lows on Sunday in the mid-20s.
“MEMA is closely monitoring the storm and is coordinating preparedness efforts with local emergency management officials and state agencies,” said Russ Strickland, MEMA’s Executive Director. “Residents in different areas of Maryland may feel different effects from this weather system, so stay vigilant and monitor the storm through its duration,” he concluded. It is possible that lingering effects of the storm and below freezing temperatures will affect Monday’s morning commute and may cause school closings or delays.
MEMA advises Maryland residents to take the following actions:
  • Closely monitor updated weather forecasts and keep electronic communications devices charged.
  • Never run generators indoors, in closed areas, or near vents.
  • Check on your elderly neighbors during and after the storm.
  • If you must travel, make sure to have car chargers, kitty litter or sand for traction, and blankets, extra winter clothes including hats and gloves, snacks, and water in case you become stranded.
  • Let friends or family know of your travel route and expected arrival time.
  • Be cautious shoveling snow or ice to avoid overexertion. Take frequent breaks and keep hydrated.
  • Know who to contact in the case of a power outage. Emergency phone numbers for utility companies can be found here.
In addition to these tips, please check out this winter preparedness tip video( on our YouTube Channel.
Traffic, weather, and power outage alerts, as well as winter preparedness information, can be accessed on MEMA’s website. You can also follow MEMA on TwitterLinkedIn,YouTube and Facebook for updated information.

Judicial Watch Submits Court-Ordered Discovery Plan - Seeks Depositions of Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes on Hillary Clinton Email Scandal!

Once again Judicial Watch is doing the heavy lifting.

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch announced Thursday it submitted a court-ordered discovery plan seeking depositions from top Obama officials involved in Hillary Clinton’s email scandal including Susan Rice and Ben Rhodes.

The discovery plan stems from a December, 2018 ruling by Judge Royce Lamberth ordering the State Department and DOJ to submit discovery in three areas.

From The White House

President Trump to Liberal Media: “I’d Say 80% of You Are Possibly in Coordination with the Opposition Party” — He’s Right!

President Trump spoke with reporters on Thursday morning outside the White House before traveling to inspect the US southern border.

President Trump slammed the mainstream media for their complete bias against him and the American people.

Trump challenged them to go to the border and rent a helicopter.

President Trump: Look, look, you can all play cute. and I’d say 80% of you are possibly in coordination with the opposition party. I mean the whole thing is ridiculous. All you have to do is look at the borders. Rent a helicopter, except you don’t want to know the truth. And by the way, here’s a story, there’s another major caravan forming.

Terrorism Actually Does Kill Many Americans Via the Southern Border

It's not just the tragic murders of the Kate Steinles of our country -- isolated or not -- that are the result of insufficient enforcement at our Southern border. Far more deaths than are commonly imagined occur because of this laxity and many of them, despite recent assertions to the contrary by NBC and FOX's Chris Wallace, have a not-so-subtle relationship to terrorism.

In fact, under the radar, terrorism in its most organized forms plays a significant and deadly role on our border.

How is that possible when -- to date, according to some reports -- only a relatively small number of certifiable terrorists have been caught crossing red-handed on violent missions, as was argued by NBC and Wallace?

Look no further than the life expectancy of Americans that has declined over the last few years for the first time in decades. This disturbing development has been ascribed to sedentary lifestyles and a rising suicide rate, particularly among white males, but most of all to the opioid and related drug crises. Drug overdose deaths reached 70,000 in 2017. (As nearly everyone knows, 9/11 killed slightly fewer than 3000. And that was, luckily, a one-time event. The 70,000 figure, plus or minus, has become roughly an annual rate.)

Obama-Appointed Judge Rules Rick Scott Violated Brenda Snipes' Constitutional Rights With Suspension!

Mark Walker, a Federal Judge appointed by Barack Obama, ruled Wednesday night that former Florida Governor and current Senator, Rick Scott violated Brenda Snipes’ Constitutional rights when he suspended her.

US District Judge Mark Walker said that newly elected Florida Governor Ron DeSantis must give former Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes a “meaningful opportunity to be heard” in regards to her suspension by a March 31 deadline.

Mark Walker ruled that Rick Scott’s decision was an “effective termination” therefore violated Snipes’ due process rights, reported the Washington Times.

New Oversight Committee Aims to Keep an Eye on Executive Branch

A new committee created in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives has some lawmakers and observers excited about the potential to ensure that the executive branch of government is operating as it should, while others are criticizing the move as a politically motivated effort that duplicates existing authorities.

In the package of rules adopted by the House when the new session kicked off Jan. 1 was a section that establishes a Government Oversight Committee. This body, to be made up of five Republicans and four Democrats, will have subpoena power and the mandate to look into any activity that isn’t already covered by the Appropriations and Ethics committees.

The House speaker, majority leader and minority leader each will have the authority to refer items to the new committee for investigation. The committee would have to be reauthorized in order to continue to exist after 2020.

State Rep. Seth Grove, R-York, who introduced a bill last year that would have created such a committee in both the House and the Senate, lauded Republican leadership for taking the action in the rulemaking for the new session.

H.R. 1: Democrats Act to Strip State Powers Over Elections

If you thought the midterm elections had problems, wait until you learn about Nancy Pelosi’s plan to terminate state control over American elections.

Democrats in Congress have announced their top legislative priority, and it isn’t health care, immigration, or taxes. Instead, they want to centralize power over elections in Washington, D.C. H.R. 1 is number one on the legislative agenda because it is the number one priority of House Democrats, leftist groups, deep-pocketed dark money, and those who use election process rules to help win elections -- or at least to cause chaos.

The bill is a 571-page dreamscape of wild wishes and federal mandates on states. The Constitution decentralizes power over American elections and puts states in charge. H.R. 1 would undo that.

Decentralization promotes individual liberty. When power over elections is centralized, it is easier for that power to be abused. When power over elections is decentralized, no single malevolent actor can exert improper control over the process. That is precisely why Democrats are so eager for Washington, D.C., to have more power over our elections.

NPR Anchor Downplays Importance of Border Security

Maria Hinojosa blames U.S. for Central America's challenges

NPR anchor Maria Hinojosa downplayed the importance of border security on Wednesday, saying Democrats have played too much into President Donald Trump's "narrative" of its importance.

"What we're really talking about right now is the fact that arch-right-wing conservatives, Republicans, [and] some white supremacists want to change the conversation on the narrative around who we are as a country," said Hinojosa, NPR's Latino USA anchor and executive producer, during an appearance on MSNBC's "Velshi & Ruhle."

Co-host Stephanie Ruhle asked about solutions concerning immigration.

"In terms of who we are as a country, we have always brought in immigrants. We're a country, apart from slavery, that is of immigrants, so this notion of closing down is not realistic. People are going to continue to come here, so what do you do? People want to be identified. People don't want to be undocumented. They don't want to be called ‘illegal.' No one wants that," Hinojosa continued.

A Must View For All Americans

Police warn others after blindfolded driver crashes car while attempting 'Bird Box Challenge'

LAYTON, Utah — Police in Utah are warning others about a dangerous viral challenge after a driver crashed their car while blindfolded.

“Bird Box Challenge while driving… Predictable result,” the Layton Police Department said in a social media post Friday.

Democrat DAY ONE in Congress!

Does this really surprise anyone?

Wednesday was a big day in Washington. As newly-elected members of Congress were sworn in, control of the House of Representatives flipped from Republican to Democrat.

While this is usually a run-of-the-mill process, a lot of things happened Wednesday that should concern anyone who cherishes American values and who was hoping for compromise from the new Congress.

· Senator Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) refused to take her oath of office on the Bible. Instead she used a law book. I don't know which law book, but I do know this: Long after the senator and whatever book she took her oath on are gone, the word of God will endure.

· Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) took her oath on what she called "Jefferson's Koran." She said, "Some of our Founding Fathers knew more about Islam than some members of Congress now." Obviously, she doesn't know very much. Jefferson got a translation of the Koran so he could understand the Islamic Barbary Pirates against whom he would later, as president, wage war. Thus the phrase, "To the shores of Tripoli" in the Marines' Hymn. But she is probably right -- the Founders understood what many elites today do not: Radical Islam is a deadly threat to freedom.

· Unfortunately, Tlaib wasn't done. She later went to a reception sponsored by the radical group Referring to a conversation she had with her young son about her election, Rep. Tlaib declared, "We're gonna go in there and impeach the motherf---er.'"

· And there's more. The world map on the wall in Rep. Tlaib's office had a Post-It note on it labeled "Palestine" over the state of Israel.

· Rep. Tlaib is not the only newly elected member of Congress who is hostile to Israel. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) lied to her constituents about her support for efforts to boycott and sanction Israel. The election of these two Muslim women, along with socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY), has been hailed by cultural and media elites as "the wave of the future." Just to be clear, they are celebrating the victory of anti-Semites. Some future.

· Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D-VA) posted the transgender flag outside of her office. (Yes, they have a flag.)

· Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) introduced a constitutional amendment to abolish the Electoral College.

· Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA) introduced articles of impeachment against President Trump.

· Not to be out done, Nancy Pelosi made history herself by becoming the first woman to become Speaker of the House twice. And the first bill she pushed through the House late last night was an appropriation bill that gave an additional $12 billion in foreign aid to multiple countries and provided more money to promote abortions overseas, but did not provide one dime for better border security to protect American citizens.

And that, my friends, was just Day One of the new Democrat House!
