Maryland State Police To Host Drug Take Back Day Saturday

(PIKESVILLE, MD) – Once again, Maryland State Police urge Maryland residents to clean out their medicine cabinets and gather up and dispose of outdated, expired, and no longer useful prescription drugs at the end of this month.

National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday October 26, 2019, aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible way to get rid of prescription medication in your home, while also educating the public on the potential for abuse of those medications. The event, set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is held in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Agency as the Maryland State Police join other law enforcement agencies across the nation for this effort.

All Maryland State Police barracks are 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week drop-off locations for old and unused medications. Secure drug collection boxes, located in the front lobby of each barrack, are easily accessible and in view of the barrack duty officer.

Since 2014, thanks to this effort, state police barracks have collected over 20,000 pounds of unwanted medications, or, 10 tons of drugs combined during similar drug take-back day events that could have gotten into the wrong hands or drugs that could have ended up contaminating our rivers and streams, drugs that instead, were properly disposed of.

The Mystery of Joseph Mifsud

A seemingly unrelated criminal case in Washington has reopened a popular Trump-Russia guessing game: Who is Joseph Mifsud?

The FBI says the vanishing professor is a Russian spy. Trump backers, citing Mr. Mifsud’s extensive Western intelligence contacts, suspect he’s an FBI, CIA or MI6 plant.

The Washington Times examined Mr. Mifsud’s extensive resume and frequent travels, revealing a skilled networker far more wedded to the West than the East.

In May 2017, 10 months into the FBI Russia conspiracy probe, Mr. Mifsud spoke in Riyadh at a high-powered terrorism conference. On his panel was counterterrorism expert Michael Hurley, who led CIA officers in Afghanistan in 2001 and served as senior counsel on the 9/11 Commission. Former Defense Secretary Ashton Carter also spoke.

Mr. Mifsud’s importance is uncontested. His hearsay conversation with a Trump campaign adviser in London prompted the FBI to start the investigation in July 2016. Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report cast Mr. Mifsud as a London-based academic who frequently talks to sinister Russians. Former FBI Director James B. Comey calls the balding rumpled European a Moscow asset.

DOJ to Publish Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to Comply Fully with DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005

The Department of Justice today issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would restore to the Attorney General the authority vested in him by the bipartisan DNA Fingerprint Act of 2005 to authorize and direct the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to collect DNA samples from the non-United States persons it detains. Once implemented, this rule will facilitate federal, state, and local crime reduction and investigation efforts.

“The proposed rule change would help to save lives and bring criminals to justice by restoring the authority of the Attorney General to authorize and direct the collection of DNA from non-United States persons detained at the border and the interior by DHS, with the ultimate goal of reducing victimization of innocent citizens,” said Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen. “Today’s proposed rule change is a lawful exercise of the Attorney General’s authority, provided by Congress, to collect DNA samples from non-United States persons who are properly detained under the authority of the United States.”

The Pelosi-Schiff Impeachment Farce Has No Respect for Due Process

“Earlier this week, Rep. Denny Heck, a Democratic member of the House Intelligence Committee, told reporters that Republicans ‘are darn lucky these [impeachment hearings and depositions] weren’t public,’” Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) writes in the Washington Examiner.

“Implication: The information coming out is horrifically damaging to President Trump. Reality: If the information was truly damaging to Trump, Democrats would hold open hearings and would have already released transcripts of the testimonies.”

One in Five Dallas Trump Rally Registrants Was Democrat, Campaign Chair Says

More than one in five people who registered for President Donald Trump’s “Keep America Great” campaign rally in Dallas on Oct. 17 were Democrats, according to Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale.

Parscale, whose forte is data analysis, has posted breakdowns of data collected from the registrations from the past several rallies.

“Incredible data from last night’s Dallas rally,” he wrote in an Oct. 18 tweet.

The data revealed that nearly 54,000 voters signed up for the event, with almost one in eight (12 percent) who didn’t vote in the last four elections and more than one in five (21.4 percent) who identified as Democrats. Eleven percent of the registrants were Hispanic.

Russia covered up explosion of Skyfall nuclear super-weapon

Russia covered up the deadly nuclear reactor explosion in August during the salvage at sea of one of Vladimir Putin’s new super-weapons, a nuclear-powered cruise missile called Skyfall, a senior State Department official disclosed.

The reactor exploded Aug. 8 off the coast of the northern Russian town of Nenoska, killing seven Russians on a barge in the White Sea as they were overseeing the recovery of a sunken Skyfall. The missile had been sitting on the seafloor for about year after a failed flight test, said State Department official Thomas G. DiNanno.

“The explosion was caused by the Skyfall experiencing a criticality accident, an uncontrolled nuclear reaction that released a burst of radiation while Russian personnel retrieved it from the seafloor,” Mr. DiNanno said in an interview with The Washington Times.

The reactor exploded in the Arkhangelsk region in Russia’s far north near populated areas and triggered concerns about fallout spreading to the Baltic states of Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, as well as in Sweden, Denmark and Finland, he said.

“The missile sat on the seabed since its failed test early last year in close proximity to a major population center,” Mr. DiNanno said.

Warren releases plan to overhaul K-12 education

Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Monday released a plan to overhaul U.S. public schools that includes more money for schools in high-poverty areas and an end to federally-funded charter schools and “high stakes” standardized testing.

Ms. Warren would quadruple “Title I” funding for high-poverty schools by providing an additional $450 billion over the next 10 years. She would pay for that and other priorities through her “wealth tax” on assets worth more than $50 billion.

Breaking from the Obama administration’s efforts on charter schools, Ms. Warren would also end federal funding for the expansion of charter schools, ban for-profit charter schools, and direct the IRS to investigate “nonprofit” schools to make sure they’re following the letter of the law.

Ms. Warren would push to prohibit the use of standardized testing as a “primary or significant factor” in closing a school, firing a teacher, or making other “high-stakes” decisions.

She would also work to increase teacher pay, move to cancel student breakfast and lunch debt, and end “zero-tolerance” school discipline policies.

Sanders plan would mean billionaires taxed more than they earn

Bernie Sanders’ tax plan would impose annual tax rates of well over 100% on the richest 400 Americans, according to his economic advisers, mostly through his new wealth tax.

The idea that the federal government should take more from the very wealthy than they earn in a year is a policy innovation, one the Democratic candidate has advanced as part of a sweeping anti-inequality platform. Critics, however, argue that it's unrealistic and would harm the economy by reversing billionaires' incentives to innovate and invest.

Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman, the Berkeley economists who've advised Sanders on his wealth tax plan and the authors of a new book on inequality, calculate on their website that Sanders' tax proposals would result in a 97.5% tax rate for the richest 400 Americans, who have pre-tax incomes above $456.5 million — and that rate would rise above 100%, depending on how the specifics of Sanders' plan were spelled out. Today, in contrast, the tax rate for the same group is 23.1%, they estimate.

Quote by Jon Rappoport

“Socialism is:
The taking of money (taxes) from some people who work for it and giving it to others who don't work for it. On a grand scale.
The vast expansion of freebies doled out by central government. In order to create and sustain dependence.

The government protection of favored persons and corporations, permitting them and aiding them to expand their fortunes without limit, regardless of what crimes they commit in the process. (Monsanto would be a fine example.)

The squeezing out of those who would compete with the favored persons and corporations.

The dictatorship by and for the very wealthy, pretending to be the servant of the masses.

The lie that the dictatorship is being run by the masses.
The gradual lowering of the standard of living for the overwhelming number of people.

The propaganda claiming socialism is the path to a better world for all.

In other words, socialism is a protection racket and a long con and a heartless system of elite control, posing as the greatest good. It is just another form of top-down tyranny---as old as the hills.”

Pro-Trump Group Tells Its Version Of Events Regarding Rally Bus Ordeal

The pro-Trump group Women for America First said U.S. Coachways canceled two paid-for buses that were supposed to transport supporters to an Oct. 17 anti-impeachment rally.

Women for America First and U.S. Coachways said different theories are floating around, but both tell a slightly different version of events.

“This story is so ridiculous. We paid. The busy company took $4,000 of our money. Two buses were paid in full, and they even canceled those buses at the last minute,” Women for America First chair Amy Kremer told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Saturday.

Kremer said in a Thursday statement that “less than two hours before our first chartered buses were supposed to leave for D.C., we were informed that the bus company was canceling all of our buses — including ones that were fully paid for.”

Sheriff: My Deputies Won’t Be in Beto O’Rourke’s Anti-Gun ‘Gestapo’

Sheriff Mark Cage of Eddy County, New Mexico, indicates his deputies will not serve in the anti-gun, “personal Gestapo,” Robert “Beto” O’Rourke talks about sending around to confiscate guns.

O’Rourke has been clear in his support for a “mandatory,” government-enforced buyback of all AR-15 and AK-47 rifles. And he has been equally clear on his plans to send law enforcement personal to the homes of those who refuse to hand over their rifles.

On October 16, 2019, Breitbart News reported O’Rourke telling MSNBC that law enforcement will visit the non-compliant to “recover” rifles.

Sheriff Mark Gage is not in line with O’Rourke’s plan. In fact, Townhall quoted Cage saying, “I’m not sure whether his statements are naive or just plain ignorant and arrogant. Maybe it’s all three.”

Mikey Harlow, outspoken gay writer and model, has been banned from Twitter permanently for dubious reasons. It all started when he posted these few tweets about inconvenient truths that Twitter must not want you to see.

"Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people want to be treated the same as everyone else. Radical alphabet people want to be treated differently. That is a key distinction. And that is why sane LGBT individuals take such exception to the latter category," he wrote.

Civil Unrest Is Erupting All Over The World, But Just Wait Until America Joins The Party...

All over the globe, the mood is turning sour. Anger and frustration are bubbling over, and protests are becoming violent in major cities all across the planet. In some cases economic pain is driving the protests and in other cases political matters are motivating the protesters, and it has been a very long time since we have seen so many angry protests happening all over the world simultaneously. Unfortunately, many believe that what we have seen so far is just the beginning. Global economic conditions are rapidly deteriorating, and as economic pain intensifies that is only going to make everyone more frustrated.

And here in the United States, the drama surrounding the potential impeachment of Donald Trump is going to greatly escalate the political tensions that are already deeply dividing this country. No matter how things turn out, a large percentage of the population is likely to be deeply frustrated with the result, and that could very easily lead to tremendous civil unrest.

But before we get to Trump, let’s take a look at what has been going on around the rest of the world first. In Chile, we are witnessing violent protests unlike anything that we have seen in decades

Gabbard calls Clinton 'personification of the rot' as war of words heats up

(Reuters) - An ugly war of words broke out among Democrats on Friday, as Representative Tulsi Gabbard responded angrily to broad hints by Hillary Clinton, the party's 2016 presidential nominee, that Gabbard was being "groomed" to disrupt the 2020 election as a third-party candidate.

Gabbard, one of 19 Democrats seeking the party's nomination to run against Republican Donald Trump, on Friday accused Clinton of trying to destroy her reputation and called the former secretary of state the "embodiment of corruption."

"You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain," said Gabbard, a congresswoman from Hawaii who is a favorite of Russian state media as well as many liberals.

Study: Poorer Baltimore Neighborhoods Have Larger, Potentially Deadlier Mosquitoes

As if the economic restraints from a life in poverty aren’t crippling enough, a new study finds that low-income urban neighborhoods in Baltimore not only have more mosquitoes, but they’re notably larger in size. Such a difference indicates a higher risk of transmitting diseases.

Researchers at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies in New York have been using Baltimore as a testing grounds to study how environmental and social conditions affect the number of disease-carrying mosquitoes. They focused in particular on one species, the tiger mosquito, an invasive species which are especially plentiful in urban areas. They’re known to be aggressive day-biters and have been known to transmit several types of viruses, including Zika, dengue fever, chikungunya, Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), and West Nile virus.

“More people are living in cities. At the same time, many other species are also adapting to city living,” says senior author and Cary Institute disease ecologist Shannon LaDeau in a statement. “Invasive species like the tiger mosquito increasingly thrive in temperate urban areas, living among us and fundamentally altering the risk of local disease emergence. ”

New Revelation on Hunter Biden Surfaces

House Democrats’ impeachment narrative appears to have veered away from President Donald Trump’s alleged push for information on former Vice President Joe Biden even as a State Department official breathed new life into the controversy over the business dealings in Ukraine of Biden’s son, Hunter Biden.

“This is not just a phone call anymore,” former Watergate prosecutor Nick Akerman told The Daily Signal, referring to the July 25 conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. “This looks like a concerted effort.”

Meanwhile, The Washington Post first reported Friday that career State Department official George Kent told House investigators he raised concerns in early 2015 about the then-vice president’s son serving on the board of Burisma Holdings, a Ukraine energy company.

He was turned away by a staffer with the vice president’s office, the Post said Kent told the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which has taken the lead on the informal impeachment inquiry.

Hunter Biden reportedly was paid $50,000 per month for serving on the board of the Ukrainian natural gas company. Reuters reported Friday that during his five years on the Burisma board, the younger Biden never traveled to Ukraine.

Court Strikes Down Obama Rule Forcing Doctors to Perform Transgender Surgery

On Tuesday, a district court judge struck down the Obama administration's since defunct mandate forcing doctors to perform transgender surgery regardless of their religious convictions or conscientious objections. The mandate, handed down by Obama's Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), ironically did not apply to Medicare and Medicaid or to military doctors because the government's own research showed that transgender hormones and surgeries can be harmful.

Under Trump, the HHS finalized rules protecting religious freedom, but the Obama mandate remained on the books.

The ruling in Franciscan Alliance v. Azar struck down that mandate and upheld the religious freedom of doctors who would refuse to administer hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery. Some doctors have warned that even the hormones — the less invasive "treatment" — give healthy people a disease. The actual surgery often involves sterilizing a patient for life. Mandating such "treatments" would force doctors to violate the Hippocratic oath.

BTW, selling bonds is a loan.... to us. We will have to pay that money off in the future, and what did the "forgotten people" get? Nothing... but, we owe it!

California governor pardons 3 convicted immigrants to help block deportations

California Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Friday he’s pardoning three immigrants who've been convicted of crimes as part of an effort to protect them from deportation to their home countries.

The three men -- originally from El Salvador, Iran and Cambodia --- broke the law as teens or young adults, served their sentences and have taken steps to rehabilitate themselves, the governor’s office said.

But Newsom’s pardons do not completely shield the men from deportation. The move instead erases the mens' criminal records to prevent past offenses from being considered in their deportation cases. All three men live in Los Angeles County and were brought to the U.S. legally as children, the governor’s office said.

“The Governor regards clemency as an important part of the criminal justice system that can incentivize accountability and rehabilitation, increase public safety by removing counterproductive barriers to successful reentry, and correct unjust results in the legal system,” a news release said.
