WBOC Abuses Woman Who Was Raped

Yesterday afternoon WBOC was discussing the hostage situation while bringing up past history at the Detention Center.

One of the things they brought up was the woman who had been raped at the facility, calling her out BY NAME. They went on to say that they had made attempts to contact her, (by name) to get her view of the current situation but she did not respond to their calls.

We're talking about a woman who had been horribly raped about 14 years ago and WBOC desperately trying to create news by abusing a woman, (by name) who clearly wanted nothing to do with WBOC.

I'm sorry Folks but this is about as abusive as it gets. To think they refuse to respect her experience and feelings, this was NOT worthy of bringing up again, especially by calling her out by name.

I can't wait to hear your response to what they did.

Your Legislators Just Raided Your Piggy Bank Without Your Permission!

By Thornton Crowe

Just when you thought energy was already through the roof, along comes this...

Even though President Trump has only been in office for two weeks, many in our area are still grappling with tough economic times with jobs scarce and wage stagnation. Now, in a stunning move by Annapolis Legislators, Marylanders are about to experience incredible hikes in their electric bills as they overrode Governor Hogan's veto of the Clean Energy Jobs Bill (HB-1106) which favors solar energy over traditional electricity.

While the legislative body has made claims, as Jim Mathias puts it, "has no winners or losers," nothing could be further from the truth as this law now penalizes anyone who won't (or can't) partake in solar energy resources. Meaning, you can expect to pick up the tab for your solar-loving neighbors when the utility reimburses excess payments from solar customers based on actual usage verses estimated usage, which is paid in advance.

What does this mean for you? Well... a lot. Your electricity bills are about to go up an estimated 10% per 6-month period  (or more) because you will be picking up the checks the utilities are supposed to give solar customers as a type of kick back.

As many homeowners in Wicomico County know, all too often, there are simply too many trees surround their homes to install solar panel systems. Therefore, they are prohibited from participating in this 'green program' unless they want to destroy the environment by removing trees.

What kind of green program destroys the environment to produce clean energy - isn't this a bit of an oxymoron? Kill trees, go green?

Did anyone besides Hogan even bother to read this train wreck of a bill? Given all the other nonsense legislation that's come out of Annapolis over the years, what do you think? It's anyone's guess if the legislators even penned this bill. It could very well be like the Obamacare disaster which was penned by Big Pharma and every other special interest medical field group on K Street.

On a national level, this bill's passage may have a boomerang because just this week, the Trump Administration has executed through Executive Order a strict ban on new regulations on Americans and Businesses. With the inevitable confirmation of the new EPA Director Scott Pruitt, whose already stated the agency will go through massive changes, this may put the state at further odds with Federal law; which, as you know always usurps State law. Therefore, this could end up being proverbial egg on Annapolis's face for all the country to witness.

It's interesting to note that Sharee Sample Hughes - one who represents one of the poorest areas of Maryland, would vote to override Hogans veto, given this will literally crush her constituents under the weight of heavy penalties for non-solar consumers. For Mathias's base, this spells the same fate but further goes to squash the middle class that already lives in a paycheck-to-paycheck reality.

From his obligatory answer to Salisbury News inquiries, he claimed he has been 'in talks' with Hogan's "people" over the last few weeks and all was well... well, maybe for his ilk but it doesn't sound like his constituents will bode well with his feel-good balderdash under the guise of global warming nonsense.

While many will continue to chime in on how good it is for the environment - almost in unison - it seems the whole bunch is reading from the same prefab script, designed to keep you in the dark before your first rate hike hits your bill. Don't you think we deserve better than this charade?

The insidiousness of this bill was already enough to gain Hogan's veto and it should've been left at that; however, something seems to be dodgy here as it will be very expensive to everyone but solar consumers. Isn't this a bit like discrimination - expecting the majority to foot the bill for some 'protected' demographic?

So there you have it, once again Annapolis has gone out of its way to screw Marylanders out of millions while fat cat legislators could be pocketing bank from hardball lobbyists backing this disaster.

Could it be our legislators are getting some monetary reward for selling out it's voting base in this horrifically expensive deal? Does Maryland also have drain its swamp in Annapolis?

All in the name of green energy, right, folks?

And now, for my pat line.... How Say You?

Are We Immune?

By Thornton Crowe

Salisbury has always seemed like a relatively quiet, suburban area where things are slow paced, except for the Walmart parking lots. We've been living in this myth perpetuated by City Hall that not much crime goes on around here and compared to the big city life, we're safe from the ills of the world.

We seem to forget we're less than two hours away from our Nation's capital. Do you really think Salisbury isn't be an attractive area for terrorists to make the grandiose statement that they can hurt us anywhere and everywhere?

In keeping with my article earlier and reading through last weeks posts about bike trails etc., it occurred to me... Is our local government prepared for incidents like what happened in Orlando and San Bernardino?

As many people whom have worked in government or the military know all too well, it is not uncommon for terrorists to see a place like Salisbury as a perfect soft target, much like a mall or movie theater. Soft targets are generally ill-prepared and under-trained to deal with serious incidents and almost always have a high potential for massive collateral kill rate.

An example of this is, last fall, in a small Utah town, Eagle Mountain Elementary school had a bomb threat where there was an hour-plus standoff between authorities and a terrorist. Therefore, if no town is too small, doesn't it make you wonder if Mayor Jake Day is really prepared for such a catastrophic event like a terrorist act in Salisbury.

I don't recall Day ever issuing any kind of statements during these events in other areas or making any promises to keep Salisbury citizens safe during his campaign. In fact, I haven't heard any of our community leaders ever address this national issue.

Is there a contingency plan we're unaware of? Does the local government even have any way to track immigration - legal or illegal - to the area and if so, are they even tracking/using it? The answer would seem to be NO!

Questions for my fellow citizens: Do you really believe it will never happen here? Does our local government really have our backs?

Just something to think about...

Local Coffee Houses Have a Gold Opportunity

By Thornton Crowe

With 96M unemployed Americans, Starbucks has put itself in the midst of yet another shakeup...

Today, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz has stuck his political foot in his mouth once again, causing many to call for a nationwide boycott of the coffee chain. In a sweeping statement out of protest for President Trump moving towards making Americans safe, he has pledged to hire 10K refugees, starting here in the States.

This provocatively uninformed proclamation is as a result of the grossly blown out of proportion reporting of this last weekends travel ban from seven Middle Eastern countries, labeled by the Obama Administration as being hotbeds for ISIS training camps. Keep in mind, in 2011, Obama signed a similar 6-month ban for all persons traveling from Iraq into the US.

Additionally, it seems the Media has once again, failed to report the truth in this situation - a commonality that should leave most unsettled. To see the Executive Order for yourselves, this is the link to the actual document on the White House Website.

All is not lost as it does contain a silver lining for local coffee shops!

Locally, this could provide fantastic kickback as fed up ex-Starbucks patrons turn away from the retail giant and look to other sources for their morning caffeine fix. Places like Main Roots Coffee and Rise Up Coffee have a wonderful opportunity to satiate the growing need for designer java as it's clear Americans Need Not Apply at Starbucks any longer. Surely, Shore businesses would never turn away people who want to replace the ill-tempered chain with some local flavor!

Furthermore, it also doesn't hurt at all that both coffee houses actually have better coffee and food. So, for all those realtors and business tycoons who love hanging out at the Starbucks by SU, go the extra mile and support local businesses!

In regards to the Liberals weekly hissy, when polled today, it clearly demonstrates 68% of over 26K people support President Trump's immigration ban to keep America safe, while only a mere 27% oppose. Once again, the Media and Democrats take the low road in promoting blatant falsehoods about the President's action, with corporate liberals piling on like flies on cow patties in the summertime.

It's interesting that these Left-Wing protests all stem from anything President Trump does while when the same actions were done by previous presidents, no one said even so much as a word in protest. Guess we can take it as a sign that the continued infantile tantrums that's growing old on Middle America are far from over... that is until Election Day 2018. Maybe then, Democrats will finally get it; their Alinsky antics aren't working out so hot for them!

As for the local haunts, I'll certainly be voting with my dollars and supporting our small business community here in Salisbury!

SALISBURY: What are those Blue Things In The Road?

Salisbury News Is The ONLY Media Source To Have Warned You In Advance

The House of Delegates voted to increase YOUR utility bill by overriding Governor Hogan's veto of the "Sunshine Tax." This will cost Maryland rate payers upwards of $100 million!

Now, only the Senate can stop this. Contact your Senators and tell them no more taxes! Contact them at www.StoptheSunshineTax.org.#RatesUpJobsDown

Last year, I vetoed legislation that would place yet another burden on ratepayers and taxpayers; it would be an additional charge on your energy bill each monthto pay for overly expensive solar and wind energy credits, the majority of which are created by companies outside of Maryland.

Today, certain out-of-touch members of the House of Delegates voted to override my veto and increase energy bills across the state. Those who voted “yes” voted to override the veto and raise Marylanders' monthly utility bills.

I urge you to call these representatives, let them know that you are watching and that you are sick and tired of these kinds of rate increases =>http://bit.ly/MDLEGCONTACT

NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr.: My ancestors were refugees

As expected, President Donald Trump’s executive order barring citizens of seven Muslim nations from entering the United States has generated a hailstorm of social media posts.

NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined in late Saturday night with a post expressing empathy for refugees facing hardships.

Earnhardt tweeted that his own ancestors left Europe centuries ago to escape religious persecution.

In a tweet to Twitter user @GelarBudidarma, who identifies himself as a Muslim “mostly from” Bandung, Indonesia, Earnhardt wrote: “my fam immigrated from Germany in 1700s escaping religious persecution. America is created by immigrants.”

First they came for the Muslims

On Sunday, I joined thousands of Americans at the Baltimore-Washintgon International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport to stand with my fellow Muslim sisters and brothers against Trump's bigoted Muslim Ban. The crowd and the energy was electric. Read my letter, inspired by the events of the past few days, below.

Yours truly,

Martin

What are we to do when a man sworn into office as President of the United States in one week, begins to use his powers in cruel, bigoted, and arbitrary ways the very next week?

I've been to the Statue of Liberty in New York's harbor -- there is nothing on that American beacon of hope that discriminates against refugee families based on their religious affiliation. If there were, we would not be a world power.

The child victims of ISIL are children of every faith.

They are children of the same God -- the One God; the God that commands us to be kind to strangers. For those of us who are Christians, He is the One God who was Himself a refugee child fleeing murder gangs in the Middle East.

So, what do we do - what actions do we take - when our half-elected President begins to use our power to apply religious tests to the plight of refugees fleeing murder, genocide, and oppression?

What would our immigrant parents, grandparents, or great grandparents have us do?

The answer is that we must stand up, speak out, and do everything in our power - individually and collectively - to stop the injustice being perpetrated, in our names, against our neighbors.

Settlement Agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and Wicomico's Commitment to Safe, Positive School Climate

Statement from Dr. Donna C. Hanlin, Wicomico Superintendent of Schools: Settlement Agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice and Wicomico's Commitment to Safe, Positive School Climate
Posted on 02/01/2017
Wicomico County Public Schools has been in negotiations with the Department of Justice based on its investigation into complaints about the district’s student discipline policies, specifically concerning alleged discriminatory suspension of black and Latino students and students with disabilities. The district and the Department of Justice signed off on a settlement agreement on Jan. 19, 2017. With this settlement, the district confirms its commitment to creating positive and inclusive learning environments in all Wicomico County Public Schools.

1. Wicomico County Public Schools has been working with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division to ensure a safe and positive school climate for all Wicomico students.
The Department of Justice reportedly received complaints of alleged discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity and disability in the school system’s disciplinary policies, practices, and procedures. In accordance with Department of Justice procedures, no specific information about complainants, timelines or alleged incidents was released to Wicomico Schools. Further, the Department of Justice clearly states that the settlement does not indicate an admission of liability or an admission of violation of the rights of any student. This is one of the many investigations the Department of Justice conducts throughout the country with individuals, businesses, agencies, school systems, and others.
Since becoming aware of the Department of Justice investigation in August 2015, the school system has cooperated by providing information on discipline data and on policies and procedures related to discipline. The settlement agreement outlines how the school system is upholding and will continue to uphold its responsibility to make its schools a safe and positive place to learn.

2. Wicomico Schools is committed to providing a safe and positive school climate for all students, with a focus on teaching and supporting positive behaviors while addressing and changing negative behaviors. Many of the tools or approaches outlined in the agreement are already in place, and will continue, such as:
PBIS: Each school has a point of contact for its Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program, or a similar behavior framework. The Assistant Superintendent for Student and Family Services serves as the District PBIS Director. The school system is working to review and strengthen its PBIS measures and practices.
Code of Conduct: The school system is working with a consultant to review our Code of Conduct to ensure alignment with the Maryland Guidelines for a State Code of Discipline. Consistent and effective application of the Code of Conduct and its progressive and restorative discipline practices is key to maintaining a safe, positive school environment in which students can learn and teachers can teach.
Professional development: The school system will continue to provide professional development in areas including PBIS or similar behavior framework, restorative practices, and behaviors related to disability and proper responses to those behaviors.
Staffing: Each school will continue to have a Student Services Team that meets to address student behavior and discipline issues. Schools, with support from school system staff, will provide specialized support services such as social work, nursing, counseling, academic support, teacher support, and psychological services.
School Resource Officers: Last summer Wicomico was one of several pilot sites for joint training of school resource officers and school administrators, through the Maryland Center for School Safety and Xero Associates. The cooperative and proactive work of SROs will continue in schools, and SROs and school administrators will continue to receive professional development in the roles and responsibilities of school resource officers.

3. Timeline: What happens next?
The settlement agreement was signed on Jan. 19 and took effect immediately. The agreement will remain in effect until June 30, 2019. During that time, the school system will report discipline and behavior data to the Department of Justice every six months.
Wicomico, along with all Maryland school systems, will be working in partnership with the Maryland State Department of Education to measure and address issues of disproportionality with regard to suspensions and expulsions. Maryland’s model for addressing disproportionality, including a number of resources created by the Maryland State Department of Education, will support the school system’s efforts to advance its work in fostering a safe and positive school climate.
Aside from the terms of the agreement with the Department of Justice, Wicomico Schools has included in its vision points the aspiration to be “a public school system committed to safe schools, created through a careful balance of clearly communicated and enforced expectations and an atmosphere where students know that teachers and administrators believe in them.” As a part of that vision, the Superintendent’s December school climate survey of students, staff and parents will provide important insights into the climate picture for each school, and will help guide specialized professional development for school staff.

JUST IN: Trump makes unannounced trip to Dover to honor fallen Navy SEAL

DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. (AP) — President Donald Trump is making an unannounced trip to honor the returning remains of a U.S. Navy SEAL killed during a weekend raid on an al-Qaida base in Yemen.

Trump was to arrive Wednesday afternoon at Delaware's Dover Air Force Base.

Chief Special Warfare Operator William "Ryan" Owens, a 36-year-old from Peoria, Illinois, was the first known U.S. combat casualty since Trump took office less than two weeks ago. Three other Americans were wounded in the operation, which was planned by former President Barack Obama's administration but approved by Trump.

Trump was expected to join Owens' family for a private ceremony.

The trip was not on Trump's public schedule. A small group of journalists traveled with Trump on the condition that the visit was not reported in advance.

Trump fires acting attorney general: She 'betrayed' the DOJ

President Trump replaced acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Yates late Monday evening, hours after she criticized his executive order onimmigration.

The White House announced the unusual move in a scathing statement, calling Yates "weak on borders and very weak on illegalimmigration." Yates had been appointed deputy attorney general by former President Obama last January.

"The acting Attorney General, Sally Yates, has betrayed the Department of Justice by refusing to enforce a legal order designed to protect the citizens of the United States," the statement read.

Yates had directed the Justice Department earlier Monday not to defend the executive order, which halted immigration from seven Muslim-majority countries and suspended the United States' admittance of refugees for 120 days.

A Viewer Writes: WCBOE BMS Attack

Maybe someone needs to investigate the attack on a student in the bathroom of Bennett Middle I was just made aware of today (don't know the exact date). The victim has permanent eye damage and other severe injuries. The 3 attackers were minorities who only got 1 day of suspension because the school system doesn't want to lose federal funding because of minority discipline. Why weren't they charged criminally? Why wasn't this on the news? In light of the settlement reached today between the WCBOE and Dept of Justice, it sounds like a cover up.

Hope you investigate and show how victims, especially non-minority, are further victimized all in the name of pandering.

Putting Your Lives in Danger

By Thornton Crowe

Many Liberals have continued their nonsensical multiple-month meltdown to the point where I have stopped notifications for some local friends on my Facebook. Why they can't seem to come to grips with the fact that President Trump is our president is beyond reason and its gotten to be an emotional train wreck which has made smart people look absolutely asinine and immature.

The immigration dust up yesterday was just one of many events which has lead to my liberal friends to post the most ridiculous MSM propaganda I've ever witnessed. Their emotional overloaded  behavior is beyond reproach and has me wondering if I should just de-friend them altogether, because quite honestly, I'm tired of the all propaganda riddled whining, based on zero facts or relevant evidence!

Cold Hard Fact

The Executive Order signed by President Trump regarding the Big Seven doesn't come without precedent, set by former President Obama. In fact, I don't recall any protests when Obama did this to Syrian Christians either. What MSM is failing to relay to you is this, much of his predecessor's EO from 2015 was used for his, but Liberals are so up in arms about everything to do with Trump that they miss the point, which is this action completely: Keep Americans SAFE!

Why Liberals can't seem to grasp this dangerous situation with ISIS is, is beyond any right thinking comprehension. The ban is not about religion, it is about Terrorism! It has been proven through every intelligence agency that ISIS terrorists have purposely infiltrated the refugees and they seek to kill in America, just like they have in France, England, Germany, Brussels, and Italy as well as America.

ISIS Terrorists who killed 14 before Christmas 2015
Remember, in 2015, fourteen people in San Bernardino, California would still be alive, had extreme vetting been in play. Liberals don't like this inconvenient fact. For some reason, it's completely lost on them even though the evidence is overwhelming.

Liberal Logic:
Will believe Russians had any influence on an election to excuse the deplorable criminality of their favorite candidate, but the same intel community says Extreme Vetting is absolutely needed, and they fall into a mayhem of protest. Make sense?! I think not!

No one seemed to have a hissy fit when in 1979, former President Jimmy Carter revoked all VISAs from all Muslim countries when the Iran Hostage Crisis occurred. He gave them 24 hours to pack up and get out - including students. If they didn't leave, they were subject to arrest and official deportation, which would also include a permanent ban for re-entry. No one protested at the airports or marched in the streets. So what makes this any different?

The truth is, our immigration system is in bad repair. It needs to have serious revamping in light of the situations going on today - namely ISIS. People who aren't on board with this fail to see the situation for what it is; that is, until it's their child or spouse or sibling whose cut down by a terrorist. Then all of the sudden, when the infliction is that personal, they'll have a change of opinion or better yet, blame the government for not "doing more."

Inconvenient Fact

The Real Deal

President Trump has every right to ban people from other countries should he find they pose a threat to OUR safety. It is a part of our code in America. Like Carter, he has the obligation to do this to keep everyone in this country safe from harm by all means possible.
Whether you like it or not, it's not a matter for discussion; its a matter of National Security. And quite frankly, your tantrums says more about your own ignorance not highlighting any racism on anyone else's lot.

Reality

What is your life worth? Are you willing to eat a bag of candy, knowing that four pieces of that candy is poisoned and will kill you immediately? Seriously? You're willing to knowingly ingest potential poison, knowing you will die in order to prove some Liberal talking point which lacks any sense whatsoever?

Sorry but that's just plain idiocy. Now, it's time for Liberals to put on the big people pants and deal with it. Many dealt with their choice for the last eight years without protesting and acting like morons... It's time now for them to do the same.

Md. lawmakers introduce bills to legalize, tax marijuana

WASHINGTON — Maryland lawmakers are pushing bills that would legalize the possession and cultivation of limited quantities of marijuana and provide for its taxation.

The legislation is being introduced in Annapolis by several lawmakers including Sen. Richard Madaleno, vice chair of the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee, as well as Dels. Curt Anderson and David Moon.

One bill would allow anyone over age 21 to possess and grow marijuana. It would still be illegal to smoke — or otherwise ingest — pot in public or to drive under the influence. The same bill would give the Comptroller’s Office the responsibility for issuing licenses and regulating sales.

The Scout Oath Binds Me to Oppose Transgenderism in Boy Scouts

When I became an Eagle Scout, I made a pledge of loyalty to the organization, and I never expected that pledge to haunt me quite like it does today.

On Monday, the Boy Scouts of America announced its decision to allow transgender "boys" to join the organization. Liberals cheered, conservatives booed, and few noticed that the organization was being sued by a transgender "boy" who was kicked out of his Cub Scout pack.

I spent years in Cub Scouts and in Boy Scouts, eventually rising to the rank of Eagle Scout. My brother followed behind me. So I understand the pain of being excluded from this organization, but what I cannot accept is that it is better for parents to raise a young child to identify with a gender opposite his or her biological sex.

Monster winter storm expected to churn up 50-foot waves in the open Atlantic

A monster winter storm is taking shape along the East Coast this week, and the National Weather Service is calling for 50-foot waves in the Atlantic by Tuesday. That’s not just a shot-in-the-dark — if you add up all of the forecast data, there’s over a 90 percent chance that wave heights will exceed 30 feet.
This storm is the same trough of low pressure that dipped into the Mid-Atlantic on Sunday and dropped a few inches of snow in the D.C. area. On Monday morning, the storm was just 1005 millibars — barely a low pressure system at all. But over the next 48 hours, the storm is expected to drop to 968 millibars.

Proposal makes Maryland a 'sanctuary' state

Democrats in Annapolis are preparing a slew of legislation and other initiatives that they say are direct responses to President Donald Trump and anticipated changes in federal policy. Among them is a bill that would make Maryland a sanctuary state for immigrants without legal status.

Sen. Victor Ramirez, the bill’s sponsor, calls it the “Maryland Trust Act.” The Prince George’s County Democrat said the goal is to ensure that immigrants continue to trust their local police.

“If we allow local law enforcement or local law enforcement is forced to act as immigration agents, what that does is it undermines the community’s trust in policing,” he said. “It affects all of us.”

Ramirez plans to introduce the measure in the coming days. It would prevent police, corrections and school security officials from investigating potential immigration violations and from arresting or detaining anyone based solely on a request from federal immigration officials.

Bow-riding ban plan in works following 2016 tragedy in OC

After meeting with Maryland Department of Natural Resources officials last week, Sen. Jim Mathias (D-38) said stronger safety regulations prohibiting boat passengers from riding up forward on the bow could be in place soon.

Last August, nine-year-old Kaden JT Frederick was killed after falling from the bow of a pontoon boat near the Ocean City Inlet in the Isle of Wight Bay. As a result, Mathias spearheaded an attempt, with early backing from Delegate Mary Beth Carozza (R-38C), to revise rules to relating to bow riding.

In Annapolis last Friday, the Eastern Shore delegation met with DNR Secretary Mark Belton to receive progress updates on the effort.

Mathias said within days of Frederick’s death, he was contacted by the investigating officer who advocated for either legislation or regulations banning bow riding.

TALK ABOUT A LOAD OF CRAP!

As I scan the Internet this morning, it's AMAZING how the media on the western shore are all up in arms about the Maryland Senate overriding Hogan's veto on the Sunshine Bill.

Funny how they refused to educate the public about it beforehand, (especially WBOC, WMDT & the DT's) but now AFTER the override they want to ACT like this is crazy.

Liberal media needs to be shut down. Remember the slots bill, the money was FOR THE CHILDREN? We have been ramrodded with so much BS from our legislators, they have simply gone too far.

Senator Mathias can act as if this is no big deal but let me assure you of one thing. I don't care how much money he has backing him, I have the audience to shut him down this upcoming election, (should we have a decent republican candidate) and that is exactly what I will do. As for Sharee Sample Hughes, she has always been a fly under the radar radical who will clearly throw the voters in her district under the bus to pad her campaign funds from lobbyists.

Cardin Emerging as Leading Trump Foreign Policy Critic

As the ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Cardin will play an influential role by either supporting or opposing the direction of the Trump administration’s foreign policy as it takes shape in the coming months.

However, Cardin faces obstacles to challenging Trump, primarily the Republican majority in both houses of Congress.

In district court last Friday, Judge Gerald Purnell struck the probation before judgment of Jordan Denton, 20, and reinstated her original sentence, while one of her compatriots in the spraypainting spree that shocked Berlin in 2015 was granted a delay because of a paperwork mix up.

This is the second time Denton and Nicholas Bonser, 19, have appeared in court for probation violations since the pair was convicted in June 2015. An unidentified juvenile also admitted involvement.

Court records show Denton tested positive for both alcohol and marijuana use on Aug. 9, the second time she’s failed this particular screening while on probation.

She then failed to show for treatment twice in August and six times in September.

More recent tests also came back positive for cannabis, but Denton disputed the concentration levels.

If so, with the help from the Delaware republicans, I think we would have enough republican votes to override Wilmingtons democrats and we could have a red state! And, lets see how Maryland would like losing all the tax revenue from Ocean city! Maybe then redistricting would be taken seriously and more than Baltimores vote would count! Just an idea...

YOU DECIDE: Here we now have the apologists on killing a prison guard

Riddle Me This...

Study: Md. Could Do More To Improve Highway Safety

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Fatal vehicle accident continue to rise, including here in Maryland. In the last ten years, nearly six thousand people have been killed on state roads.

Nationally, fatal vehicle accidents claimed over 35,000 lives in 2015 — that’s seven percent more than 2014.

“This is the larget percentage increase in 50 years,” says Jacqueline Gillan with Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety.

The organization published a study that says most states aren’t doing enough to deal with it. State’s in green have the most safety laws, red states the fewest.

President Trump Makes Unannounced Trip To Dover Air Force Base To Honor Fallen U.S. Navy SEAL

President Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump sparked headlines when they boarded Marine One and headed for an unknown destination on Wednesday.

Reporters demanded to know where the president was going, but many of them fell silent when they found out he was headed to Dover Air Force Base to join the family of Chief Special Warfare Operator William “Ryan” Owens — who was killed during a nighttime raid on an al-Qaeda-held village in Yemen over the weekend — in receiving his remains.

Until Wednesday afternoon, the trip was unannounced.

Owens, who is from Peoria, Ill., was killed Saturday in an intelligence-gathering mission.

“Ryan gave his full measure for our nation, and in performing his duty, he upheld the noblest standard of military service,” Secretary of Defense James Mattis said in a statement.

“The United States would not long exist were it not for the selfless commitment of such warriors.”

Quote of the day by Dianne Feinstein . . .

Dianne Feinstein: "All vets are mentally ill in some way and government should prevent them from owning firearms."

Yep, - she really said it on Thursday in a meeting in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee. . . . And the quote below from the LA Times is priceless. Sometimes even the L.A. Times gets it right.

Kurt Nimmo: "Senator Feinstein insults all U.S. Veterans as she flails about in a vain attempt to save her anti-firearms bill."

Quote of the Day from the Los Angeles Times:
"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office.

I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're Number One. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth '.

The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

Columnist Burt Prelutsky, Los Angeles Times
Be sure to forward this to all of the "mentally ill" vets you know. Especially the ones with guns.

Maryland Democrats stand up to President Trump's policies

ANNAPOLIS, Md. —Democratic leaders at the state House on Tuesday rolled out a legislative agenda they said protects Maryland from President Donald Trump's initiatives.

Democrats, including Maryland State Attorney General Brian Frosh, rolled out a legislative agenda designed to insulate Maryland from Trump's policies.

"We are going to be the new line state this year because we are going to protect ourselves from Washington, D.C.," said Senate President Mike Miller, D-Prince George's County.

"Donald Trump is putting up a wall in Texas; New Mexico is all geared, in my estimation, to people of color, take away rights from women," said House Speaker Michael Busch, D-Anne Arundel County.
