Sergeant Crowley, the sole class act in this trio, helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own.
This picture becomes a metaphor for ObamaCare. The elderly are left in the back, with only the kindness of the Crowleys of the world, the stand up guys, to depend on. The government has other priorities.
This image will have genuine resonance. It captures something that older Americans in particular can relate to. The President presses ahead with a program that will tell them to take painkillers instead of getting that artificial hip.
At every stage of the entire Gates affair, Obama has provided a revealing tell. The "acted stupidly" blunder revealed that he automatically blames the police and thinks they really are stupid to begin with. It didn't trigger a single alarm bell in his mind as he figured out what to say.
Without his scripts, Obama is no longer the master performer.

Just maybe that moment was choreographed by white house staffers to show reconcilliation between the two aggrieved parties.Jeez!
Maybe Crowley has respect for elders. He was not on the job while having a beer at the white house.

Maybe it is a single framed picture of a videoed event. What happened before and after????? ridiculous. These two were just two hotheads that needed sat down and talked to. The President was o nice. The should both be looking for employment right now.

This blog has become nothing but a bash Obama blog. I'm embarrassed that I defended it.
I miss the days when it dealt with real local issues. People just scream about national issues now and spend no time on the things right here that affect their daily lives.

Oh, for heaven's sake. Why must there be a hidden meaning in everything we see? And why is it a slam against Obama? We see what we want to see in any picture, and what I see is that peace has been made between Crowley and Gates. That was the whole point of the beer summit, wasn't it? Or maybe the point was to make peace between Obama and Crowley, so maybe they should be arm in arm? It's just a picture with no context added, except people's own, according to their own views.
