Dr. Alvarado Update

At this time I have an inside source at Shock Trauma "with the Family."

Here's the deal. His Wife Margarita and ALL five of his Children, Jose, Juan, Carlos, Ricky & David are at the Hospital and have all arrived from around the Country.

Here is their message. "Dr Alvarado is fighting very hard. Please have everyone pray very hard."

I have also spoken with Dr. Alvarado's Sister Yvette in San Antonio who is trying to make contact with the Hospital. Please, if any of you have a GOOD NUMBER for Shock Trauma, please post it here so she can make direct contact with the Family.

I can tell you there are literally more than 3,500 people right now on Salisbury News following this story and looking for updates. Keep those prayers working Folks and pray for a miracle.

Let me start with this. Thank you for the phone numbers!

Secondly, Dr. Alvarado has not passed away. Stop the rumors right here and now.

As for Carlos, I don't know what to tell you as I do not personally know dr. Alvarado but why should I doubt what has been told to me by his closest friend at the Hospital.

Folks, prayer is what is needed here, not debate. I a telling you the man is alive, his Family is by his side and he is fighting as much as he can.

Look, no one is sending rumors because we want them to be true. We all genuinely care for Dr. A. and want him to pull through. He is so important to all of us aside from being so kind and caring. All we can do is pray...

Dr. Alvarado is a wonderful person and physician. Keeping him and his family in our prayers.

We need to speak LIFE over Dr. Alvarado right now. Prayers that speak life and healing over him. God we lift Dr. Alvarado up to you and ask that you in all your glory and power mend this man and restore his health, in Jesus name! Amen

Dr Alvarado is one fine person and a special doctor to my son. It breaks my heart to think what his family is dealing with right now and there is no way I will rest easy this evening thinking about Dr. A. Please everyone pray for him - there is no other Doctor here in Salisbury that can even come close to him or on the Eastern Shore. We are fortunate to have him in our community.

Dr. A is a wonderful man, he is so devoted to his life as a doctor and a family man. My family and I pray that he will pull through and be strong.. We love him and respect him so much. He believed in us when no one else did when my 19 month old son was born and had some difficulties that onset after birth. He saved Cameron's life not once, twice but three different times. We pray that there is an angel to guide him and help him recover.. Dr A and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

We love you Dr A.

Joe- Thank you for the updates. Dr. A is loved by so many people. So many of us have a story we can tell about how amazing he is. So as I go to bed I am praying for God to work the miracles I know he is capable of working and healing a man who has done so much for so many. Love and prayers go out to the family.

I pray that he has accepted Jesus as his personal savior and his family and friends find comfort at this very difficult time. We will be praying for him and the family - even my 3 year old has prayed several times tonight for "her doctor". What a wonderful man!

I LOVE Dr. A and his entire staff. He has been my children's pediatrician since the day each was born. As so many have already said, he is SO kind, patient, gentle and knowledgeable. He ALWAYS greets us with a gentle handshake and smile. I encourage you all to continue to life him and his family up in prayer so that his life would be spared and God would glorified through it.

I can't help but share this anecdote: My first son was born with what, to me, seemed some minor health concerns. Dr. A was SO persistent in determining a diagnosis, ran many tests and consulted experts. As a first time mom, I began to wonder if Dr. A was blowing this out of proportion. When my son was five weeks old, we were out of town and Dr. A called us at 5:00 AM with test results that indicated my son could have a potentially fatal condition. Dr. A was calm and gentle as ever, but insisted we get to a university teaching hospital immediately. My son is doing fine now. I never imagined ANYONE but Dr. A being in charge of my children's healthcare and don't want to now.

Dr. Alvarado is truely amazing. He has rendered care to my children since their birth. During illness, his professionalism and kind and caring spirit always left you reassured their condition would improve and they would be well in no time. Dr. Alvarado we could never thank you for the impact you have had on our lives and we are asking God for a miracle in your life! We love you and we just ask God to protect you with his loving mercy. You are the greatest!

Joe,

Being a personal family friend of the Alvarado children, all 4 of them - Juan Carlos, is one person - easy to confuse though given the emotional state of your family source.

As for Dr. Alvarado and the various comments and reports as to his condition. He is a strong and wonderful man and I am sure that he is fighting with all of his might to pull through this. Please everyone continue to pray for him and his family.

Joe, I know Dr. Alvarodo and I just taked to the charge nurse, he is alive and being taken to his room. Keep him in your thoughts, keep him in your prayers.

joealbero said...

Thank You 12:19. Who'da thunk it, Juan-Carlos! That could have been my mistake but I appreciate the update. It's been a long day Folks. I'm going to retire soon for the evening but I'll assure you as soon as I get an update I'll post it for everyone to see.

I did get a recent text continuing to ask for prayers and that he is in critical condition.

joealbero said...

anonymous 12:22, he has been in a room for hours now. Keep up those prayers Folks.

Joe - thank you for keeping us up to date in a sencere way. While the local news & newspaper only have this afternoons alerts, I am greatful that you are taking the time to find out and report on the Dr's condition. This man is one of the nicest people on the planet, from the time we met him in Dec at my son's birth until now I have grown quite comfortable knowing that a man of his kindness, compassion for his work & great tolerance for parents like me - is the man taking care of my sons developing growth. We are praying hard for him and there are many people on Facebook sending requests for prayers & praying hard for a man some may never meet even after his health returns.

My prayers go out to the Alvarado family during this difficult time. I also want to say 'thanks' to you Joe for keeping everyone updated on his condition, he has done so much for so many people. We would be in the dark right now if it weren't for you doing what you do best, just like Dr. A! God Bless

I'll continue to pray for this beloved member of our community, but I KNOW he's in the best possible place. There is no doubt that he has the best care available, anywhere in the world.

A family member on site might want to consider starting a Carepages.com so that correct information can be disbursed at the appropriate times. They can set all of the controls/privacy etc.

All my prayers are upon him and his family.... any news yet Joe?

Anonymous said...

Joe, have you heard any updates on Dr. Alverados condition this morning. Thanks for informing us,as you can see this man means so much to so many.

Anonymous said...

I emailed joe but i am going to post here too because i know coming here and reading the update hurt when i knew the truth already. My mom is a nurse on peds who has worked with dr. Alvarado for years. Last night her boss told them all that dr. A. was brain dead and being kept on life support until all of his family can say their goodbyes. He is also an organ donor. So while he isn't dead yet because of the machines, he is tech. dead in that he has no brain activity.

Why do horrible things happen to such good people, when there are thousands if not millions of terrible, mean, hateful people walking around alive and well?! I try to not question God, but it's just not fair!! My prayers are with Dr. A and his family during this tragic time.

With prayer, all things are possible. Please ignore those reporting negative information, they don't even know as factual and continue to pray. If you were the one lying in the hospital, wouldn't you want the same? Have faith and pray!
