Constitutional Law?

How do the lunatics in Washington distort the Constitution to further their nefarious schemes to enslave the public? To find an answer we must examine what the Constitution says and the order in which it is written.

Article 1, section 8, clause 3;
[ The Congress shall have power ] To regulate commerce with foreign nations, and among the several states, and with the Indian tribes.

This is often amplified by the Necessary and Proper Clause which states that this Commerce Clause power, and all other enumerated powers, may be implemented by the power "To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof."

Did they have second thoughts when they enacted the ninth amendment ? -
The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

The Founding Fathers gave voice to this concern in the tenth amendment. -
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

In view of the foregoing, try to make sense of a national health care program, but banning shopping across state lines for lower cost insurance.

How about an energy policy that encourages the importation of foreign oil, but prohibits domestic drilling?

Where does the redistribution of wealth appear in the Constitution? From what I read the acquisition of wealth is an individual right.

Does regulating commerce include the government takeover of private companies, deciding on employee compensation or even who works there?

You're confused.
They aren't 'distorting' the Constitution.. they're ignoring it.
They don't give a rodent's red rectum about the Constitution, or the patriots who wrote it.
They only care about themselves, and how much power they can grab and hold on to.

You're only discovering this now? The expansion of the Commerce Clause has been going on for nearly 100 years, through Hoover, FDR, Ike, Kennedy, Nixon, Reagan...

They've been watering down the constitution since the civil war. It's a damned shame. States rights mean nothing. Obama didn't start this but he's rolled on the throttle since he was elected. It has to stop.
