Waitress Receives Tip To Lose A Few Pounds Instead Of Actual Money

Here's a tip, diners: Your server deserves money for bringing you your food, not your snide scrawling suggesting changes in appearance. One waitress in Washington D.C. was unlucky enough to receive just such an insulting "tip."

First off they work for the restaurant to deliver their food to your table, not the people who is eating there. If they don't make enough money work some where else.
This is just something they thought up to save on their cost.

That was not insulting. That was healthy information. People need to be concerned about their health.

If I understand your illiterate writing correctly, what you are saying is you are one of those uneducated, inconsiderate, selfish people who doesn't tip? No I'm not a waitress, I just know to factor in tip before eating out since they don't even make minimum wage because by "earning" tips it keeps them speedy and polite. If you can't afford to tip then don't eat out or get take out. While you're at it, also please go back to school and stop the mentality that something is "owed" to you. Hope you or your family never has to serve ignorant people like yourself. As long as "people" like you are the customers they will never make enough because they will only get maybe $3 an hour.

I waited tables while in college, and I admit it's not the best of jobs. Wearing a permanent smile and being polite to customers who are rude and/or treating you like you're their personal slave for the next 30-60 minutes gets old quick! It's definitely not the type of job people jump to as their ideal career choice, but in this economy people take what they can get! The last thing this woman needed was a jerk giving her a "health tip." He should've been thinking about the utility bill she needs to pay, not the extra pounds he thinks she should lose!
