California Bans Teens From Tanning Salons (Plus, Other New Laws)

California girls wanting a beach-bronzed look will have to get it the natural way, thanks to a new law barring teens under 18 from using tanning beds.

Gov. Jerry Brown signed the provision into law, the first state law of its kind, on Sunday. Other states, including New York, Illinois, Rhode Island and Ohio are considering similar measures, and at least 30 states now have at least some age restrictions — covering younger teens — on tanning bed use.

Politicians first try to spend all the money they can (and then some more). THEN, they try to tax, fine, and fee the population to cover their idiocy. Next, they try to ban things to increase the fines they collect. Ban cell phone use. Ban driving without a seat belt. Ban tanning beds. Man, just THINK of the fines if they could somehow, someway ban the Sun. Guarantee some politician has actually tried to figure a way to do that. Maybe a permit or something to be able to go to the beach. I'm thinking maybe we oughta ban politicians for about 10 years. Punishable by, wait...I don't think I should say THAT.
