GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO PARTICIPATE IN ANNUAL AGRICULTURE DINNER

ANNAPOLIS, MD (February 3, 2010)
– Governor Martin O’Malley will induct two farming families into the Governor’s Agriculture Hall of Fame during the Annual Maryland Agriculture Dinner tonight at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie.

The Governor’s Agriculture Hall of Fame is the state’s most prestigious agriculture award recognizing their high standards of achievement and commitment to the industry and their communities.

More than 800 people are expected for the Maryland Agriculture Council’s annual dinner, which brings together the State’s agricultural leaders and lawmakers. The Governor also will present the first-ever Smart, Green and Growing Agriculture Awards. In addition, the Agriculture Council will present its annual educational grants.
