I will admit my stupidity----what is the "Northern Neck"?

At 1:40 PM, the National Weather Service office in Mt. Holly issued a BLIZZARD WARNING for Sussex County Delaware, including Georgetown and Rehobeth Beach from Friday afternoon all the way to Saturday afternoon. Man, that is getting uncomfortably close to Salisbury

the anticipation is killing me!!!!

It's supposed to snow 3 inches an hour on the Delmarva Peninsula with the possibility of 2 feet or more!

1:47. I had to look it up, because I didn't know either! LOL Northern neck of Virginia. Weather.gov listed northern Delaware and Jersey as 12-18 inches, while Central Delmarva has potential of up to 24 inches! Click on warnings by state, enter MD, and scroll down to the warning.

I am sure the dysfunctional school system will be closed most of the week. Everyone is working except the school system. The safety of the students obviously important, but waiting for the streets to become absolutely pristine is ridiculous.

Just saw on CNN that MD is 17 million in the hole (46 million spent, vs 29 million budgeted) on snow removal. Looks like this storm will pile it on in more ways than one.

2:06 --

That forecast (18-24 inches) is for the Western Shore to Allegheny County, pal.

2:06. Just reporting verbatum what I read on weather.gov. I sure hope we don't get that much!

2:05 I am not too sure about that. I have checked numerous sources and cannot find that prediction. Where did you come upon that info?

Marvin:

But we got $1.5 Million to pay for the Pollitt parking lot -- so, life is sweet.

Only place to get a snow shovel in Salisbury is Lowes.
