DOUBLE TROUBLE

There won't be much time for any breathers in this pattern. A major storm is about to cause a traffic-snarling snowfall in the mid-Atlantic region, and as soon as that one leaves, our attention will have to focus on the next one.

That second system will take shape over the South Central states Sunday night and Monday, then it will come quickly eastward. It could produce another substantial snowfall in the same area that will be getting heavy snow Friday into Saturday. Plus, the storm next Tuesday-Wednesday could spread up into New England, the region that has missed out on recent storms.

It is strange that the National Weather Service has very little to say about the system that is forecast to be in our area Tuesday/Wednesday. Either they don't think its going to be a big deal or they are to preoccupied with tomorrow night's storm to discuss it. Accuweather seems to think its going to be a big deal.

6:26 - while we have a lot of snow, and more is coming, I don't think we have more than PA. I talked to my Pop in Pittsburgh, and they have has snow accumulations of at least 3 inches each day since December 26....Now THAT is a lot of snow!
