Salisbury Police Department Press Releases


On October 20, 2009 at approximately 2:20 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Giant Food Store for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with store security who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take food from the store without making any attempts at payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Steven Leach Hodgdon, 2nd, 30 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 100)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900037363

On October 20, 2009 at approximately 6:50 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant for thefts that occurred over an extended period of time. During this period of time the suspect was employed cleaning a private individual’s residence. During that employment the suspect took U.S. currency from the victim and took and used the victim’s credit cards at a number of local stores.

ARRESTED: Nichole Lee Baker, 25 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Unlawful use of a credit card (18 counts)
Unlawful use of a cardholder signature (18 counts)
Unlawful representation as cardholder (18 counts)
Theft (under $ 500) (18 counts)
Theft scheme (over $ 500)
Theft of credit card
Identity theft

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking 200900037399

On October 20, 2009 at approximately 7:17 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Boscov’s Department Store at the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with security personnel who advised that store employees had observed the below listed suspect take clothing from the store without making any attempts at payment. The property was recovered and returned to the store.

ARRESTED: Alafia Renee Morris, 19 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES: Theft (under $ 1000)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200900037410

On October 21, 2009 at approximately 2:01 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police arrested the below listed suspect on an outstanding arrest warrant charging the suspect with theft. The investigation of an internal theft at a local medical office revealed that the suspect, an employee of the business, was taking cash payments from patients and keeping the currency. The investigation also revealed that the suspect was making fraudulent transactions at the business.

ARRESTED: Douglas Wainwright Dashield, 28 years of age Salisbury, Maryland
