BREAKING NEWS! Shooting In Salisbury

There was just a shooting at the Shell Gas Station by the old McDonald's on Rt. 13 North.

A male was shot three times in the chest and is unresponsive.

This Post went up originally at 11:31 PM last night.

Update: It has been reported both robbers had guns and, when the male individual behind the counter raised his hands, he was shot. A struggle ensued and the clerk was killed from multiple gunshots. The two Number 1 suspects, wearing hooded shirts that partially covered their faces fled.

Update 2: The victim's name is Abdul Choudrey, 49 years of age. He lived in Salisbury.

Update 3: I have been informed the SPD does have their hands on the video of the shooting but the clarity of the tape is horrible. They can't even tell how things went down at this point. I was also told he was shot once in the stomach and twice in the head.

I work at a c-store on Rt.50 and as soon as it happened we had a Wic. County Sheriff officer in our store checking on us. It's pretty scary and from what I was told it was it's the same description as the other robberies in the area. Black hoodie and bandana. We as a neighborhood have to be aware of our surroundings anything suspicious please call these robbers have to be stopped. And also the clerk did not make it from what I was told now add murderer to that description. PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

Go Shanie , ain't no crime in Salisbury.

Sack up another, better order more body bags.

and I left DC for this ???

Anonymous said...

I sent my daughter there the night before to fill my car with gas.
This is fast becoming a very scary place to live. I'm not sure what we can do except either lock ourselves in our homes with weapons to protect what's ours, or sell out and move away. If anybody has a solution that doesn't involve "it's the bad economy" or "it's going to get worse" I'd be happy to hear it....we've got a serious Sheriff, a new guy in charge at the State Police barracks...light at the end of the tunnel??? We all hope so.

Just once, just once I say, I wish I could read that the victims were a faster draw and shot the robbers dead.

Start by taking care of our own hoods.

These crime task forces have great stats, however a lot of talk and suggestions yet so little actually being done. Talk is cheap.

I swear what is it going to take for this city to see that crime is rampant. City Council members, we are sick and tired of you sitting in Council chambers arguing about a hazmat trailer when money should be going to the police department and everyone of you know it. So what if a pepsi trailer got donated, it could still serve the purpose and Gary Comegys you know it could, but the boys must have their toys according to you, Smith and Shields. It is time to recall these three. They DO NOT represent me as a taxpayer and they certainly do not represent Salisbury or act in Salisbury's best interest voting as they do. Shame on them. Recall, recall, recall. July 4 everyone - 9am to 12 noon - downtown at Government Office Bldg. See you there.

supposedly the man was killed! Can we not even safely get gas in Salisbury!??!

And FYI, this IS within Salisbury's corporate limits! Let's see if it gets reported properly as a MURDER on SPD's crime statistics!

In addition, I'd like to mention that my wife and I went to a movie Saturday night and noticed that the Sheriff's department had a couple marked cars patroling the Mall's movie area. Again, this is within the City's limits, but does the SPD and WCSD have an agreement that the WCSD covers this area? If not, kudos to those deputies out there that night and to Mike Lewis for going above and beyond his department's responsibilities! C'mon Chiefy, it's about time you get to work around here! We, the people, DEMAND IT!

Description on WBOC

"The two suspects are described as two black males with thin builds, approximately 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds. Both suspects were wearing dark clothing and hoodies that covered their faces."

shocking, simply shocking

I heard Mark McIver on Reddish this morning and the stats he gave are frightening. #9 most violent our of 741 cities our size in the country.

Now, another life lost. This is scary and I feel so bad for the murdered man and his family.

Anonymous said...

8:39, WCSO has just the movie theater. SPD drives around and goes in the mall. But with so much other calls, they can't cover ever inch of the city with 5 or 6 officers per shift. Hey Webster, anyone else quit or you fire yet?

Anonymous said...

Theres a reason good cops like Brian Beaver left Salisbury and now works for Fruitland.....Stopping crimes in progress and saving women from being raped or killed...

Anonymous said...

Well, everyone saw that coming. Wicomico has reactive instead of proactive police agencies. The people need to demand better! When will the heads of these departments be held responsible for insane amount of violent crime that occurs in our community, Like New York City did with Com-stat.

The police agencies in this county need to start a task force for violent crime, instead of responding to it after it occurred!

We need a county police force more then ever.

The shame of it is that there are people in the Black community who know these guys, and won't turn them in. I'm sure somebody knows what is going on and has seen these guys with their hoodies and bandanas. It has gone too far now for God's sake. Turn these guys in and stop the madness. Of course that would be "snitching."

When crooks are confident of finding plenty of unarmed victims it is a target rich environment for them. Maryland, where the law abiding cannot defend themselves.

Reading over the Police reports you just posted it seems a lot have the same MO, two black males , thin to medium build, wearing black clothing hooded sweatshirts covering their face... crime spree?

Beware of the Exxon station on the corner of Rt50 and Isabella Street at night. I have been approached on several occasions for money while getting gas. Called the Salisbury PD and was asked if they were harming anyone? I don't go there anymore.

salisbury would rather spend money on hosting a open house and spending money to celebrate a 100 year old dam that devastated salisbury in a flood. then to get some more officers on the street.if that was one of my loved ones shot and killed while trying to make an honest living i would sue the hell out of salisbury. and wouldn't think twice about it. here's a question, what has the new mayor done for us? whats the differance between him and the old mayor?

Shoot these pieces of garbage in the face and throw them in the dumpster with the other trash.

9:55 AM - I have said the same thing for I don't know how long now - we need a county police force.

Dear Mayor Ireton - Take Chiefy out of the office and put him on the street, on shift work, in uniform, for a change. We are tired of being confined to our homes and it doesn't even have to be dark any more - broad daylight these thugs don't care. Please help the citizens out here and DO SOMETHING POSITIVE, PLEASE. I really don't care how many open houses you have, it that really going to help the crime around here? I think not. Wake up, please.

Anonymous said...

No way! I heard Ireton had crime on the downslide?

Anonymous said...

How many must die before Maryland allows us to protect ourselfs? The police will never be able to protect us as well as we could protect ourselfs if only we were allowed to. Give us the right to carry. How difficult is it to see that the states where right to carry laws are passed, violent crimes decrease. Case closed.

I am sorry to say this, but when the market turns around, I will be looking for a safer area. I want my family to feel safe and at this time it scares me to go into the city limits at night.

A firearms instructor I had in Northern VA once said, if you were looking to rob someone at gunpoint at an ATM, would you go to DC, where there's a ban on legal firearms, or to Northern VA, where there was a 50/50 chance your 'victim' would also be carrying? Explains the huge difference in crime rates between the two areas so close to each other.

maybe sixty second delmarva in focus should have psa s about the local crime problem. someone needs to get rid of that damn segment with its overly P C obnoxious organ music and crap worth of content. whoever picked that damn song probably doesnt listen to that , but just for appeasement. yes it is black people in all of these armed robberies.... so maybe we need to stop letting them rule this town. yes sometimes a few bad ones ruin it for the many good people.

Mayor get off your A@% get spd the officers, equipment and LEADERSHIP needed to change this crime that is getting worse and worse. Stand up have B@lls don't keep the men over worked, underpaid, understaffed, and ill equiped. You've seen how that strategy has been working for the city....crime out of control

Anonymous said...

This town needs a curfew all business should close by 10:00pm. Cause my god if u go out after dark u take ur life into ur own hands.

Anonymous said...

The new Mayor was doing his job getting facts and figures that he could trust, in his first few months of office. He must certainly know that the current Chief of police must be replaced by new, though. The crime rate in Salisbury has skyrocketed in the six or so years that I've lived here. I'm waiting for the market to improve, then I'm going to move to somewhere it's not taking your life into your hands getting your car filled with gasoline, or using an ATM. There is no reason to live like this, and I'm not going to.
I expect I'm not the only one wanting out. It's going to be a stampede.

Anonymous said...

here's the problem...
Salisbury want the spotlight sooo bad that you guys put on events to attract these kind of people. Like every other large city that's dying to be reconized your going to have these problems. So your guys have to give up either the spotlight or your safety

these guys are hitting stores when they close. Its funny how they know stuff i heard the shell station locked their doors@11 and afterwards just sell through for drive up window. These guys are watching everyone.

What WOULD be the disadvantage of these convenience stores having a gun behind the counter? Fear that they might accidentally shoot a customer? Or that a bad guy in a dark hoodie might take it from them and use it on them? I am not, typically, for the use of guns. Or at least I didn't feel that way before. I guess I now believe that if you plan to live in the Salisbury area you must be armed now. How sad.

I was wrong to think police would turn proactive after Ted Shea was shot and Anitra Pirkle was murdered.

Wake up Wicomico County Citizens. Demand better from your police/sheriff, mayor, County Exec, etc. Ask what is being done. It's not just a Salisbury problem, it's a Wicomico County problem!

This place is not going to get better until the police and parole and probation concentrate thier efforts on repeat offenders, gang members, drug dealers and burglars on parole/probation. Violate them and place them back into the prison system.

The crime task force needs to ask some serious questions to our leaders, because nothing has changed!

I WANT A BETTER AND SAFER COMMUNITY FOR MY FAMILY TO LIVE!

blacks have been classified as #1 as long as I can remember, look at your drivers license.

sounds like Salisbury needs to find some money and hire a bunch of cops.

how cops on the beat per shift there?
and how does the % work out with other cities?

Anonymous said...

The larger issue here is citizen apathy. Nothing will change until the community makes this an issue worthy of notice.

Carry concealed anyway. Keep one under the counter and be where you can read the eyes of everyone coming in the front door. I know a store in Delaware where everyone has a six gun holster on their belt. If "concealed" is illegal, is "exposed" legal?

Anonymous said...

I was told that it was legal to carry out in the open in Delaware. Anyone no what the law in Delaware is? I know you can carry out in the open in Virginia.

Anonymous said...

I for one will place this blame were it belongs. I am truly angry at the lack of concerted effort put forth by those in charge.

This has been going on for months. I ask can anyone tell me if Webster, Lewis, Phillips, Sailor, and Leatherbury have met on this issue. The warning that a death was forthcoming was presented to a local elected leader that appears to have fallen on deaf ears. I know it is his first year in office, but when someone with vast knowledge of this type of behavior ask you to rally the local law enforcent leaders maybe next time you will take heed.

The road troops are doing all they can to keep up with the flow of calls for service. A joint task force needs to be implemented to catch these murderous thugs. Plain clothes and vehicles. It is to the point that an innocent clerk has lost thier life. The egos that prohibit or elected leaders and hired, need to be put aside. The people of this county deserve it and demand it.

There were Troopers, Officers, and deputies at the scene. If you look at the photograph they are in uniform. This crime occurred less than a mile from the barrack and the Sheriff's Office. A uniformed presence will just push them to another location. A covert operation is the only way these men will be caught.

If this does not fuel the desire to work together nothing will. I am not sure if the Sheriff's Office was even notified about this crime. This is a total failure in the system. A deputy drove by and asked what had transpired. SPD command if an officer is killed because of your lack of ability to get information out, I hope the family sues the city and it cost you dearly.

Mayor Ireton it is time for you sir to take charge of what is yours. The Department needs a leader that will work with all agencies despite his personal issues with those around him.

In years past I have witnessed Colburne Dykes and Hunter Nelms at each others throats one minute and in a meeting the next minute trying to implement a plan to combat crime in our county.

I know that Lt. leatherbury, Chief Phillips, Sheriff Lewis, and Chief Sailor will and have worked togther over the years. There is a weak link in the chain and it is costing lives.

The term dereliction of duty comes to mind here. 90% of the robberies are in the city. We all bear the responsibilty of the safety of our public.

To the elected officials it is time to do your part and see that this need is met. The budgets are tight, but a human life is priceless.

To the men that committed this cowardly and sensless act. I hope you make the wrong move at the right time. Then your families can grieve as this man's did. I just hope I am around to see it. May God have mercy on your souls. I know I will not.

May God grant the Choudrey family peace in such troubling times.

Anonymous said...

This is a tragedy... but get real you can't sue the city or the county or the state, or the Feds.. period for what you perceive as lack of enforcement... that is ludicrous

If you point for suing is true than anyone that is a crime victum would be able to sue their municipality... and that does not happen... period

Lay your blame towards the suspects, their families for raising these thugs

But suing.. please

The only issue I have w/ these comments is dumb and dumber 2:44 and 3:02. I am surprised that two racist as yourself would be so heartbroken over an arabs unfortunate demise. I guess no other nationality commits these types of crimes. I guess "White boys" don't shoot up schools or rob stores. I guess old white men don't molest and have a history of enslaving and hanging others, not even two decades ago. You ignorant bastards someone lost their life. They could have been white, black, asian, hispanic, haitian, irish, korean etc., it doesn't matter. Who are you? What are you? Everyone of these above mentioned groups have had incidences that could make another group racists toward them. Racism exist because you were born and bred to be the racist piece of trash that you are. You must don't watch the news if you think only blacks are committing crime. Personally, I am not discriminating about who may violate my piece of mind and/or safety. I am watching out for all. Word of advice, it may not be who you think, who may be out to do you harm. Oh yeah #1 male was reserved for black men, because they were and are considered public enemy #1. My condolences and prayers to the family of the man who was ignorantly slain.

Given the number of robberies in recent months it would seem that business owners could do their part by making sure they have adequate surveillance cameras, properly placed, in working order, and with good tape quality to provide to the police. There is no way that police can be everywhere at all times. We have seen the increase in robberies over the past year and it is the responsibility of every business as well as the community to do what they can to help provide information for the police to act on. That the tape clarity is horrible is beyond belief - where is the outrage over that? The poor guy was probably making minimum wage - he died for $6.50 an hour.

To the militia seeking, I'm scared of all black people folks on this blog, please, pack up and move your stuff to Alaska. Then you can feel safe from every possible threat in the world from humans. Crime is everywhere, more in some places than others. Instead of pulling out your militia gear, lets push for the DA to truly lock criminals up and keep them there. I wouldn't be surprised if these thugs already had records and got off due to a plea or out of jail for the laundry list of dumb reasons they let them out early. Stop with all the "I'm have to stay in and never come out". Criminals need to be punished and punished harshly. Cops need to be present and active and those in the community with these thugs needs to start talking and tell it all.

The white people were changed to #2back in the late 60's or early 70's Not exactly sure. It was so the black man would not be considered a second class citizen.
I have been reading in The Guide about people filing in Delaware to carry conceled. Maybe we need a grassroots campaign to carry concealed in Maryland. I know it won't happen with a democrat governor, but it could get started then to a vote maybe by time he is not re-elected.

See anyone in a black hoodie and bandana just shoot first. Bring in some Pagans and some Aryan Nation gang members and this will end post haste. Both of those gangs would have a field day here, they will take care of business long before the police do.

ECI prisoners are released where they are convicted. If picked up in Baltimore they're taken back to Baltimore when released. The problem is, despite former Governor Schaefer's promise to release prisoners outside the area, he did not promise they would not come back and bring some of their friends who haven't gotten caught or convicted of crimes. The obvious gang problems stem from the thugs who come here from across the bay. They like the laid back lifestyle here including the arrogant leaders who prefer playing political games than protecting the citizens they represent. They are too concerned about getting bad press and looking bad. It's time to take back our towns, get involved, get good people to run for public office in the next election, and work to get them elected. Stop the talking and DO SOMETHING! Thank you Debbie and Terry for sticking to your guns and doing what you were elected to do! We need more like you in all the towns!

They need to sue, that is the only way government changes things is when it will cost them money if they do not. This area (mainly) Webster has not done what so many other agencies would have done at this point. I truly believe there is a lack of action, a dereliction of duty on the command level. I am ashamed to be in the law enforcement family when this happens. There is no reason at all that this man had to lose his life. My prayers are with the family. My blame is with Webster and all the officers, troopers, deputies that do not look to the common goal of law enforcement and making the community safer. If your ego, pride, and sheer arrogance got in the way of protecting this community, may god have mercy on your soul. All law enforcement needs to be combined into the sheriff’s office so if we ever get a Webster in that position we can vote his a$$ out. Webster lied for the mayor and then the mayor changed his contract to be only fired with due cause. Ireton has a lot to do before he can get the council to agree to fire him. Remember Webster has supporters on the council, I say remember so you can vote them out; elect others who agree with firing Webster. See how much easier it would be just to vote out a bad sheriff? Combine law enforcement and take back the streets, and guess what after the first initial combining you would actually save money.

There is no way you are ever gonna get conceal carry in one of the most liberal wimpy states in the USA.
Time to protect your self and family any way you have to. I will.

For those commenting on communities that discourage "snitching" or cooperating with law enforecement, please keep in mind that it is a two way street. At one point in time police officers were more involved in communities and making friendships, being true "protectors" of law-abiding citizens, etc. That idea shifted long ago and current policing in most places is based on us vs. them "thin blue line" mentality where cops are one gang that protects it's own and everyone else ( including innocents) is another gang/enemy. I am not saying police are alone to blame, but neither are many citizens and communities that have been antagonized and taught by the state to fear and not trust law enforcement.

I know MANY law-abiding conservative white folks who would never cooperate with police for any reason. And in many cases they have good reason. Police and society, and many commenters here, have decided they don't like community policing and prefer the war mentality- including law enforcement choosing to escalate violent crime or devote less resources to violent crime on purpose to engage in revenue generating and high ROI low risk acitvities that do not involve protecting citizens from actual crime.

I am also troubled by people who selectively choose only their favorite parts of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to enforce and live by. This can apply to the ACLU types who hate the 2nd Amendment ( and sometimes the 10th and others) but also those 2nd Amendment activists who hate the 4th and 5th,etc. I think if we objectively lived by and enforced those rights as well as the true spirit of America, we would all be better off. But people always seem to react irrationally and with no principle whatsoever. Stick to principles and don't let the actions of violent cowards throw everything out the window.

For those who want a guy like Joe Arpaio, sorry to break this to you. That is the type of guy who devotes way too many resources and violence to minor things like parking tickets and has a track record of bumbling incompetence. Just because you can run tanks into people's cars on residential streets and burn down houses and kill dogs over things like parking tickets does not make you "tough on crime." It makes you an enemy of law abiding citizens who believe in quaint things like the Constitution ( ie actual conservatives, not blog comment tough guys), community policing, and being tough on actual violent crime.

FWIW, I am one of the small minority who actually believes in effective policing of violent crime while respecting the rights and dignity of law-abiding citizens. I have no problem saying that some of the ideas floated in comments in here are not only ineffective but decidedly un-American.

News like this is a good point for keeping abortion legal, just imagine how many people that don't want to work we'd have hangin' out if abortion was illegal?

Is it Jim Ireton, or is it Gary, Shanie, and Louise?

Obviously a hazmat trailer is more important then money for police?

Guess we need all that expensive fire equipment so that when crime runs rampant and the citizens revolt - the fire department can clean up after the riots.

ECI releases prisoners to the destination of their choice, and they can choose to be released in Salisbury. So the correct answer is yes they can be, and are, released in Salisbury with some minimal transition funding.

I'm with those that want to protest on July 4th seeking a recall of Gary, Shanie, and Louise!

This area is full of backwards thinking. There has never been progress here and its likely that there never will be. Salisbury reacts, there is no pro-action. I see it at my workplace daily and its likely the norm locally. The family is in my prayers and I hope the murderers are caught but the only way to improve the crime rate here is to move. Sad but true. The problems present locally here have far deeper roots than most of us can fathom. Drugs, gangs, a high poverty rate and joblessness(you can't keep blaming the recession) are all causes that take years to fix and a community that works together. Its been said before on Joe's sight about the "us vs. them" mentality here. Generally speaking ppl here dont like change, and there needs to be a ton of it to make the situation that the town is in now improve. For years Salisbury has had an increasing crime rate but what do the locals do, compare year to year stats and tell us "its no worse than years past". A great way to hide the truth and never improve. There is an entrenched good ol boy network coupled with the apologists that are always combating crime stats and making excuses by wearing the "blinders". I wish them luck but I really dont see anything changing for the better.

Signed: A proud Come Here.

I agree with you 100%. I come back to Salisbury all the time to check up on my house and I would like to move back one day. That dream is fading everyday, companies are leaving, crime is going up, and elected officials run around like chickens with their heads cut off while the place gets worse.

I could never figure out why such a manageable town can decline so fast.

I guess the people in charge have no idea what they are doing.

Clearly we're doing something which is fundamentally wrong. First, our law enforcers are doing a good job, but it's in a Defensive capacity. There must be a better way to deter crime rather than respond to it. Seemingly there isn't much cooperation and communication among the agencies here in Wicomico...the weak link is obviously the Chief of SBY. Maybe this is the right time to implement a countywide police force, incorporating the city and county into one cohesive agency.
It seems like the logical approach to making all their efforts most efficient.
There is a feeling among many young people that, because so many of their friends and family end up in jail that it's inevitable. Jail needs to be a less pleasant place, so that the threat of being sent there is a deterant. AND, since so many of these young people are wandering through their formative years without any plan or purpose, and have no positive role models in their lives, we must address that in some manner. Mandatory community service for all students, backed up by some programs which enable them to see another way of life, perhaps.
This is a very complicated situation, requiring complicated answers. If we manage to pair up the Economic Stimulus with Integrity Stimulus plans, we can put some of these people on a better path.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Why do these gas stations and convenient stores not have better, digital cameras? Since the crime in the area has gotten so bad, you would think that they would all upgrade security so that IF something does happen like a robbery, they have a nice solid, clear image of the people who did it? In Salisbury, it's going to happen, it's just a matter of when. So, upgrade your cameras (it's not that expensive to do it) and let's catch these idiots and make them think twice before going into a building to rob it. Now, they are obviously not afraid. Not afraid of the police and not afraid of their faces being posted on the news because the cameras look like something a 2 year old plays with and the pics look like they were taken under water. Salisbury is out of control and those who live around Salisbury in neighboring counties should start to worry as well. It's only a matter of time before these people spread out and go to a wider area.

Anonymous said...

I have no hard feelings for any police agency. However, I beleive more than ever that the City Police and County police should combine.

Anonymous said...

While I think it's all well and good to upgrade security cameras and wouldn't it be nice if all convenience store clerks or owners could outdraw an already pulled gun, please remember this poor man was shot WHILE HIS HANDS WERE IN THE AIR COOPERATING!

I have nothing bad to say about the cops in general, but Chief Webster IS the weak link here. Every other law agency leader seems to be working to cooperate except Webster.

He's got to go!

Anonymous said...

All available funding the city has should go to the police, as soon as Webster is fired. Create a violent crime task force among all the local police agencies. Also, a combined drug unit and a gang unit. Make it very unpleasant for the thugs to operate in this area. They come here because they know they can set up and do criminal activity here with little police interference. We also need to bring businesses back to Salisbury. Businesses that will hire local folks and also SU grads.

There is no expectation that our Police will catch these guys. If and when they do catch them, there will be tremendous celebration. Why? Because that will be EXCEPTIONAL. Again, there is no expectation of catching them.
Our Police do not exist to catch people who commit these crimes. Sure some of them try, and do a pretty good job. But the primary pupose of the Police is to collect money. We all know it. Just go ahead and admit it. They collect money from those of us who are law abiding citizens. They also go after the drug dealers who "get out of line". When the government decides this or that drug dealer is out of line, they put the person away. So long as they continue peddling the product as told, they can stay in business. Our government is the drug importer. Think about it.
Pass out traffic tickets (collect money) and take down the drug franchisees who get out of line. That is the purpose of our Police. They do a very good job actually.

the point about the camera upgrades is this: they have camera footage of these idiots, but it's so bad, it doesn't help them at all. They can't even tell what is going on in the video it's that bad. Why even have it? If you're going to have it, spend the few extra dollars and get a decent system in the event that you get robbed, or in this case, shot and murdered, that they will have pics of these guys to generate to the public. These guys know that the cameras suck, so there's no deterrant for them.

Anonymous said...

They spent all that money on fire equipment why?
"IF" this should happen they would need it
"IF" that would happen they would need it

IF IF IF IF.
Well crime "IS" HAPPENING yet they wont hire more police to help with the problem or get a new Cheif because again CRIME "IS" HIGH!
We shouldn't worry about what "IF" right now we should worry about what "IS"

This is an outrage. I stopped there often to get diesel fuel. Activites at the adjoining business had police on the scene once and I could tell the clerks were concerned.

Assign all available personnel to a night shift and concentrate on high risk businesses (convenience stores) and get these scumbags.

You can keep a gun behind the counter and on your person in the store. You just have to transport in a legal manor, unloaded and ammo seperate from the gun. Please arm the stores, shot some bad guys. The cops can catch them from the blood trail.

Kudo's to Ginger Phippin, Ed Wallace and Little Keenan for job well done and quick response. We arrived just after the ambo did and Keenan had already started cpr and patching wounds while Phip and Wallace were preparing for transport and assessing wounds as well. Job well done and thanks for the giving the gentlemen the best of chances. He's with God now which is way more peaceful then Salisbury Maryland.

We do need a new Police Chief. It is not the economy. We can blame the State's Attorney, we can blame the community for not coming together.

But let's put the blame where it belongs more than anything else. The Juvenile System. Juvenile services started out to be for mischief and small crimes and yes an occational crime that probably should have been in adult court. But now, more than ever, the juvenile system is full of kids, playing adult crime and being protected by the Juvenile System. When a kid can do an armed robbery, gun violations including shooting someone or threatening too, rape, molestation and I could go on and on with these serious crimes. The Juvenile System itself needs to be revamped, put capable people in place to carry out the seriousness of these kids being protected by its own system, and take this department back to what it is supposed to do. Don't let these kids and their parents/grandparents hide behind this system and keep the records hidden and these criminals, not kids, protected. These are serious crimes committed by serious criminals that the public should know about. And then, when one passes to adult court, his/her criminal past should be known instead noone ever knows of the serious crimes, the gangs they were and have been associated with.

Again, this is not a Davis Ruark problem. His office does the best that they are allowed to do, it is the Juvenile System that is and has failed. We are not working on a current generation of criminals, we are working in some cases 2, 3 and 4 generations and it is only getting worst.

Schools cannot control the criminals, teachers are not allowed to control the criminals, oh I mean kids and even some turn their backs in order not to know just so they don't have to deal with it. We have lowered the standards so low in order for the kids who were left behind (or just doesn't want to be there) to be considered a No Kid Left Behind, when in fact we have hurt the school system so much that we are not allowing the kids who want to be there to do the best that they are capable of doing. More work goes into handling the problem kid and not teaching. This could go into another whole issue of the Juvenile System with the truancies, but again the system does not work any more. Lets stop finding excuses, hiring more people because we have more juvenile criminals and find a way to make the system work.

To the individual who asked me how I know the individual was arab? The same way you know the perps where black. Just because an individual(s) has a dark complexion doesn't mean they're black. I didn't know his name, but I 've been in the store. Maybe he was middle-eastern, he still was murdered.
