GOVERNMENT TAKE OVER OF THE INTERNET? YES

The United States Government and the Federal Communications Commission decides on Thursday whether to move forward with so-called "net neutrality" regulations.

The net neutrality movement is an outgrowth of the media reform project of radical left-wing activists like Robert McChesney who seek to destroy private control of the country's communications systems. For seven years proponents of government takeover have been searching for egregious behavior by evil phone and cable companies that would dictate the required government takeover.

Net neutrality, the Holy Grail of left-wing activists, will force phone and cable companies to treat every bit of information the same way. Networks cost billions to build and maintain, and if there is uncertainty whether there will be a good return on that investment, private funding will dry up. Then the government will step in, spending billions more of our tax dollars on a government-owned and controlled internet. Susan Crawford, the Internet Czar, calls the $7.2 billion of stimulus money she is helping spend for broadband, a "downpayment on future government investments in the internet."

The FCC will vote Thursday on a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Net Neutrality. If this passes, it will start a public comment period.

The FCC created a website at www.Openinternet.gov for comments on the government regulating the internet under the so-called net neutrality rules. Click on "Join the Discussion" and share your comment for keeping the internet in private hands.

And here I thought that Net Neutrality was about stopping ISPs from changing your service to "pay as you go".

Thern when an 'EMERGENCEY' is declared by the government, the Obama administration can take control.
The definition of 'emergencey' has yet to be defined by the government.

The Openinternet.gov site didn't work too well for me so sent email directly to 5 top FCC officials.

Used fcc.gov/contacts.

Just entered "Keep internet in private hands" in subject box and sent away.
