Thank you Joe for reminding us of our ribbon cutting. It was indeed a great occasion for the club and as well for Man's Best Friend. There are approximately 580 All Breed Kennel Clubs in the US and only about 40 or less own their own property. We are very fortunate. One or our main responsibilies to the community is to promote Responsible Dog Ownership through our ongoing obedience and agility classes. Several of us go to schools almost every week somewhere in the 3 county area and educate children on the correct way to approach a dog, and what to do if a dog should try to attack them. We have had very positive feedback from the teachers. We go armed with pencils, coloring books as well as educational materials. The kids love us especially at their after school activities for those whose parents pick them up late. We hope to work with any 4H club that is interested in having us participate with them as well. Thank you Salisbury and remember what reports say to "give your dog a pat" and your blood pressure will be better off for it.
