Going to be a great time. A lot of local companies sponsored the cars. Ill be bringing my 2 year old!
The county and city goverment should have an ongoing contest. The county and city employees who want to participate should submit workable ideas for saving money. Example: the cheapest price for office supplies (if they are on bid put pressure on the company for better pricing because ABC company will sell it to us at that price), cutting the use of county and city owned cell phones, for business only, and which people absolutely need the government issued phone which may cut down on the alloted minutes for the plan. There are so many ways to trim little things, they will add up to the larger picture, without sacrificing quality.
If the proposition works, the government then will reward the employee. Example: X number of hours paid personal leave, resturant or grocery store gift cards.
This is done all the time in the business world. The government is a business and needs to be run accordingly.
