Independence Day Celebration In Willards

Joe,

There is a bit of confusion relating to the date for this years Independence Day Celebration in Willards - and I own it. I hope you can post this to help me straighten it out. I set the date for July 3rd and then mistakenly told everyone July 4th. I am in the process of letting everyone know of the change of date as we wouldn't want anyone to miss it. Everyone I've told so far has told me that they are glad that it is on the 3rd rather than the 4th since the 3rd falls on a Saturday. I apologize if this will be an inconvenience on anyone. Please tell all of your friends and neighbors.

This year's Independence Day Celebration sponsored by the Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce will start at 4 p.m. (on July 3rd) and will be located at the Willards Elementary School on Richland Rd. in Willards, MD. There will be live music provided by the Tabernacle, food from local vendors, a Buffalo Chip Tossing Contest hosted by Wayne Calloway of Cobbs Hill Bison, and of course - a wonderful fireworks display. While the Fireworks are free as they have been in the past, we would appreciate any donations to help us with the cost of the fireworks display.

Anyone wishing to send a donation may send it to:

WECC
P.O. Box "G"
Pittsville, Maryland 21850

Thank you so much.

Bob Harris, President
Wicomico Eastside Chamber of Commerce

wihout a doubt this is a fireworks locals don't want to miss. I am a resident of Willards and for a small town to have such a great fireworks is awesome. The best part for me is I don't have to leave home. Neighbors get together in my yard, we sit in our own lawn chairs, and just have a good ole time. The best part is no traffic to fight.
